South Texas Rentals

While Ive had good experiences with maintenance etc since moving here last year, I do miss the previous Parkwood Apts office lady (Mari). The new one, Courtney, seems nice.HOWEVER. Ever since South Texas Rentals took over, I realize there have been some property improvements & additions, but there is also a barrage of weird, new rules and higher fees too; also we are now forced to buy rental insurance to cover THEIR damages/problems. Insurance for THEM. This rental insurance does not cover our personal property, just theirs. Its their issue, so in my opinion, they should pay for their insurance. This whole insurance requirement is mandatory, and it helps them but not us, so I do see it as a form of extortion.Also paying my rent here is an absolute nightmare. I spent nearly three hours yesterday trying, begging someone to send me a payment link like they always do +after I go ask for my link). But yesterday the office was closed, I didnt have a link, no one answered my calls or responded to my voicemails or multiple texts. I emailed them several times, begging someone to send me a link. Conservice would not accept any kind of payment from me, and the only amt listed for hours after I began this nightmare was for my water, etc. Finally SouthTxRentals sent me a payment coupon for me to GO somewhere like CVS to pay my rent, but I am disabled & dont drive. So that was no solution. So then I continued calling, emailing, texting, AGAIN, even left a letter for the property mgr on the office door. I finally received an email with a payment link, but it stated I owed them over $2,000. So I couldnt even get a correct amount & had to guess my amt.I will not be able to do this again. Its ridiculous that I have to beg for my rent payment link.

If I could leave no stars about South Texas Rentals, I would! We live in one of their town homes and trying to get help for our issue is like pulling teeth! We have been having issues with bats for over the 2 years weve been here. And we are desperately trying to get out! We hear the bats in the walls and ac vents, the apartment smells like urine from them. And the bats have made it in the apartment a total of 4 times! I keep making maintenance requests, with no luck. The issue is never resolved but they keep resolving my maintenance requests. Its terrifying trying to get the ones that get inside out. My daughter is terrified to sleep in her room.On top of that, weve experience our kitchen sink leaking on several occasions. They come and fix it, but thats only temporary and it happens again. I am so frustrated and wouldnt want my worst enemy living here. This is NOT a healthy environment. We signed a 6 month lease until August to give us time to find another place. But with these issues increasing now, we requested to be let out of our lease, which they refuse to do.These townhomes are so outdated and falling apart with so many issues, yet they recently made the choice to raise the rent. Please dont make the mistake like we did by renting from this company. I am in the process of reporting the issue to the proper authorities.

Ive been living in one of their apartment complexes since 2017 and have never had any issues.Their staff is very professional, helpful and friendly. The maintenance requests are handled promptly and the maintenance guys always do a great job!Highly recommend to anyone needing a place to live!

Great place to live! Anytime I had an issue the maintenance team would fix it promptly. Their rentals are all updated and have a cool layout. Quick to respond to any questions or concerns you have. They are very reasonably priced too! Love the neighborhood too! :)

I have been a tenant of a South Texas Rentals property for 10 months and this is by far the best experience I’ve had with any management company. Fair pricing, quality apartments, streamlined service as far as maintenance goes, and they have been great to partner with. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great and easy experience.

Been renting from them from a year and a half and have had no issues! Maintenance responds quickly, they give an adequate notice for inspections, pest control and send reminders for rent each month. They keep each rental well landscaped and mowed. Only issue I have with my property is the trash and parking lot, but they are trying to resolve it

About 3 years ago my dad lost his wife in Dallas. This was an extremely difficult time for him. On top of loosing his wife his health took a turn for the worse. I needed to get him to Victoria quick and I needed to find a place for him. We searched high and low and God led us to a property owned by South Texas Rentals. The one bedroom apartment was perfect. The people were nice, the price was right! Its right next to a grocery store, restaurants and the YMCA!! I felt as if we found the golden ticket in the Willy Wonka movie, lol! Any-who, we moved my father in and from start to finish the staff was more than helpful and kind. We have been there for a little over 3 years now and nothing has changed. The staff is helpful and accommodating. They communicate through email and text messaging which is helpful for my busy schedule. They maintenance the apartment frequently and always keep me in the loop when things need to be fixed. My dad has made friends with his neighbors. Rent can conveniently be paid online. The responses to questions and request from the staff are quick. My dads health is improving every day and I am so appreciative of the service South Texas Rentals has provided along the way! Im sure one day we will move but for now we are happy right here.

The whole move-in process was handled very professionally. We moved in about a month ago and are very pleased here @ Sherwood Townhomes. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful and the neighbors are so friendly.Thanks to Mrs. Amanda Cuellar Perry for your help during the process.

Maintenance will always get with you within 1 day or 2 days at most. Lawn is always nice and kept up with. Most importantly, if you find yourself late with rent they are very understanding and work with you as long as you communicate with them!

The staff has always been very friendly and fair to us from the beginning they let you know when Rent is due and how many days after you have to get your rent in before being charged a late fee. If your looking for a bigger place to rent they will figure out what they have coming available and help you out as much as they can to get you into a bigger place at a good price very thankful we found this place in a good living area and a fair price!

I was told by several different sources not to use this company, because they were encouraged to hurry and apply for specific units, and that after they paid the unit was marked as sold. The same thing just happened to me. I applied for a specific unit and was told days later that it was sold to someone who was already promised the unit. I should’ve listened.

Great apartments and management!! I have been more than delighted to live in these apartments and feel comfortable!! I would suggest South Texas Rentals anytime someone would ask me!

Maintenance is always on top of things and they always give advance notice on pest control, inspections etc. Only reason star was not 5 was cuz they no longer cover water and trash like when we first moved in 3 years ago.

Courtney is absolutely THE BEST!!! Her and her staff are so easy to talk to and very compassionate absolutely the best!!!

South Texas Rentals Is The Best Wouldnt Live Anywhere Else . I Love My Apartment .

Always have taken care of maintenance at a reasonable time frame and have listened to our complaints and took them into consideration and did anything they could to work with us we really appreciate them for this!
