Rating: ZEROStay Away from Werner Law GroupThe Werner Law Group gave such poor advice to my ex-wife that I felt compelled to step in, despite our differences, to stop what I saw as financial exploitation and abusive legal tactics. Even though my ex-wife and I don’t get along, I couldn’t stand by and watch how they mishandled her case and drained her finances.This Victorian, Texas-based law group appears to prioritize billing over clients’ best interests. They pushed unnecessary communication, including directly emailing me, her ex-husband, with irrelevant and harmful advice. Their approach seems designed to drag out cases and inflate costs rather than seek resolution.For instance, they sold the lie that lawyers could dictate a mediation venue change, ignoring that only the mediator has the authority to do so. Mediation, a vital step for amicable solutions, doesn’t seem to be a priority for them.What’s more troubling is their stance on fathers’ rights. They appeared to promote termination of a father’s rights as a first option without considering the welfare of the children involved. If you love your children, steer clear of this firm.As a combat veteran with PTSD/TBI and a Purple Heart recipient, I was particularly appalled when my HIPAA-protected medical information was improperly used in discovery. Since 2018, I have been denied access to my children, with their tactics playing a role.For anyone considering their services, I urge you to reconsider. There are better, more ethical legal professionals who will fight for your rights and work toward fair resolutions.As of 2025 – Avoid Werner Law Group.

My husband needed help .just love all of them . but he is not used to sending text. An he wants to-see someone in person. Old school. But his health will not let him keep going on his case. An I want either. His sister has liars helping her an we knew this would. An I’m out of money. But I do think she would have won this for us. But just got to quite. he is on oxygen full time now. He wanted money to travel before he dies. But that’s ok.

The Werner Law Group gave such poor advice to my ex-wife I felt I had to step in to stop the financial theft and abusive legal tactics. My ex-wife and I do not get along and I still felt a responsibility to speak up to the way the Werner Law Group stole all her money with dumb ideas and unnecessary emails directly written to me, the ex-husband. Whatever you do - STAY AWAY. This Victorian Texas Law Group is only out for your money and does not believe anyone has a right to mediation. The Werner’s are more interested in dragging out your case so they can bill you unnecessarily. Whoever heard of a mediation change in venue? Only the mediator decides that, but Werner will sell the lie like a lawyer has a say. They also believe in the termination of father’s rights as a first option; without any consideration of the children. If you love your children; STAY AWAY! As of 2025….this law firm supports the revocation of father’s rights, especially to screw combat Vererans (with PTSD/TBI)and Purple Heart Receipts. My medical information (HIPPA protected) was entered/used indiscovery. As of 2025….was last allowed to see my children in 2018.

Through out the years, and for several different family law issues, we have used 4 of the “top” named lawyers in Victoria and have not been 100% satisfied with them, hints the reason we’ve used 4. We just had a current case and went and had a consult with 2 of those lawyers and was told to do nothing because of the child’s age we’d lose. We found Leslie Werner through a reference from a friend and decided to give her a try. During the consult she told us it would be an uphill battle and of course is judges decision but she believed we had a strong case to give it a fighting chance. She didn’t sugar coat anything and gave it to us straight but didn’t tell us to do nothing. Leslie and her office were very prompt and helpful on everything. It was not a hostile environment like some offices we’ve been to. Everything was done quickly and timely manner which was amazing! We didn’t feel like we were put on the back burner. For a father, custody can be difficult to win, even though the courts do not discriminate against dads. Whether you are a father going for full custody or joint custody, you should be prepared for a difficult child custody battle, especially if the childs mother is also filing for custody.
