Westin homes is another favorite among homebuyers, with their signature rotunda ceiling and great styling. Gwen Lewis helped me when I bought my Westin and I couldn’t have been more pleased. She’s very professional and pays close attention to everything the buyer’s looking for in their home. A big thanks to her.

My wife and I just walked away from a potential Westin home buy in Houston/The Groves. The people and builders were unprofessional throughout the entire process. The final straw was covering up structural mistakes with cosmetics that both the inspector and my wife and I noticed. We were supposed to close on our home on 3/26/24 (today is 3/22/24) but appliances and other systems were either not installed in time or below par. Our inspector could never perform a full inspection because something was always off or missing in the home. Blane, who works for Westin, lied to my wife, the realtor, and myself by saying he would pay for the re-inspection fee due to their mishaps but then refused to do so 4 days before closing. We asked to speak to his boss/Regional Construction Manager David Carter about the state of the home but were told that we weren’t allowed his information. Thank God we walked away from them and didn’t purchase a Westin home. Something is definitely not legit about them.
To begin, i was forced to give 1star to comment, otherwise it would be 0. We had 2 walk thrus prior to closing where small little dings on doors, walls, cabinets where to be fixed and never was. Then on closing day because your not allowed to enter home after final walk thru eventhough damages still needed to be fixed we enter home to still see nothing was fixed with added issues.....all kitchen outlets had no power, kitchen island table top was damaged...tack nails sticking out of carpet everywhere puncturing our feet. Upstairs doors couldnt close. The driveway had busted up concrete spots all over. The Logan guy who does the walk thrus is the most unprofessional man Ive ever met and totally not honest and even hing phone up on my realtor when issues tried to be addressed asbwell as ignored me. Once you close on home the warm welcome terminates IMMEDIATELY
Purchased a Westin home in May 2022. Several weeks after closing and move in, the power line to our house failed; cut or broken. It was 91 degrees in our home. Electricity and new power line was restored after 4 days. We were advised by our sales manager to go to a hotel and save our receipts. When we filed for reimbursement for our expenses through Westin’s warranty portal, we were quickly sent a copy of Westin’s contract highlighted in yellow that Westin does not assume liability for such expenses. Very disappointed in Westin’s response and denial of our request for reimbursement especially after our sales manager advised us to save our receipts and submit to Westin for reimbursement. Signed, a very disappointed Westin home owner.
I live in a Perry home, but the lots on both sides of our home have Westin homes being built. The people the Westin contractor hires have caused problems for us on both sides of our home. Our water line was broken by them. We were without water in our home for almost 8 hours and the only reason it was fixed was because I called to have the issue resolved after they failed to do anything. Our internet line has been cut multiple times including while my husband was working from home and was dependent on internet access. After the first time it was cut, the new line was even flagged to avoid occurring again, and yet today it was cut AGAIN. So now we’re scheduling with comcast to come out and fix it AGAIN which is beyond inconvenient. The response from the Westin contractor is, it’s not their fault, they won’t pay any bill from comcast, and he can’t watch what workers are doing at all times. With the lack of attention to detail, I would be cautious about purchasing a home with them.
Getting to the sale was no problem - but they don’t respond to warranty claims and we are still waiting on the pre-close punch list to be completed from July 2023 - it’s now February 2024.

I had a largely positive experience with my purchase through Westin Homes, with Robert, the builder manager, being particularly helpful in addressing any concerns we had with the home. However, my experience with Gwen Lewis took a turn after we rated her B’s on the final survey at closing.To clarify, giving B’s was not a negative reflection; to me, it simply means there’s room for improvement, but overall, the service was good. Gwen had assured us that she was confident the builders would approve our request to install a garage opener before we moved in. Understandably, the request was denied, and Gwen apologized, offering us a $200 gift card to assist with the cost of the opener.A few days before closing, my real estate agent confirmed with Gwen that the gift card would still be provided. She reassured us, saying that we had her word. However, on closing day, when I went to collect the keys from her, I was handed an envelope by one of her colleagues, but the gift card was not there. I reached out to Gwen by email, hoping to clarify the situation, but received no response. When my real estate agent followed up, Gwen’s response was disheartening—she stated that she regretted spending money on us after we didn’t rate her A’s on the survey.This response not only felt deeply unprofessional, but it also revealed a lack of integrity on her part. It’s disappointing to see someone who isn’t willing to stand by their word or take responsibility for their commitments, especially in a professional setting.
