First Service Credit Union - Atascocita

I have been with the banking institution I have before I finally stepped foot into First Service Credit Union for 12 years and as explained to my banker for 12 years and 11 of those I’ve been so dissatisfied. My experience with Sonia Salinas made the regrets of being loyal to them for 11 years go away in just maybe 30 minutes of my time.Her professionalism, care for my concerns and need to switch banking partners really assisted in me believing I made the right decision to choose First Service.I sat in a shopping center near by parking lot for an hour and half comparing Credit Unions and I believe coming to yours was confirmed by her attitude and personable engagement with me.I even understood that she was visiting the location. I will soon open an account for my four grandchildren due to our interactions.Thank you Sonia and Thank you First Choice!I hope she gets the opportunity to view my review 🎉🙌🏾🙏🏾

If I could give a star lower than this I would. I have a small business and thought First Service Credit Union would be good but I was wrong. I’ve had nothing but problems and anytime I needed anything they would always give wrong information. I would be met with, “who did you talk to and which lane was that person in?” I finally had it and told them I wanted to close my account. They wouldn’t let me close it. According to them, “leave it open in case any other transactions go thru”. I told them it would be easier for me to close it than to remember anyone who was setup with auto drafts. They kept it open. I went today to finally pay what is owed for the overdraft fees and was told it was over $400 and that I could not pay it with a debit card after the cashier said I could but there would be a $15 charge. She then asks if I have cash, so thankfully I had the cash in my wallet. I paid the total amount and was given a blank receipt saying that was my receipt for proof that the account was closed. This is only a few of the issues I had with this bank. The manager Obileth, (her name tag was covered and when I asked her name she said it so fast) is not professional or knowledgeable in these matters. I took my business account to Chase and regret not going to them sooner. Save yourself the trouble and use Chase or Navy Federal if you want a credit union.

I am so disappointed in this bank, they are not practicing what they preach, especially their online customer service, most of them are so rude without proper training, no even empathy for the customers and I don’t know if it is their bank management that asked them to act like that to their customers, I was charged multiple times last month over $100 for over draft fees or whatever they called it, due to their fault, when I set up my Zelle they set it up with my savings account which I was not even aware, but the only thing I realized is that whenever I want to Zelle money from my checking it won’t go through except I transfer the money from checking to my savings that’s when I am able to Zelle, when any other charges comes in they charged me again an overdraft fees while I have money in my both accounts, why would a bank comes up with a rip off ideas like that. So I decided to walk in into the atascocita branch to speak with them concerning this and I expressed my concerns to the manager or supervisor or team lead, I don’t even know who she is because she didn’t even introduce herself, she said well is the system that set it like that, that Zelle should be taking from my savings at my own detriments so I can be charged for fees, I said well does this make sense to you? Because I will never set Zelle to my savings because it’s a savings account, is this just one of the ways you guys rip customers off just to make extra, then she said I can reverse two $5 fees for you out of over $100 they charged me for the month of October, and she said she can’t go beyond that so I just left the banking hall. I will never recommend to anyone.

I was looking for a Bank with excellent loan rate and earn interest in Saving account. I was treated very professionally and I got to open an account within less than 30 minutes and got a loan with a low interest rate. I’m a very happy customer.

By far the most professional credit union I’ve been to. Both Britney and Gia were so helpful with technical issues and the app. They are very informative when it comes down to any of my questions I have. I’m greatful to bank at First Service. God Bless.

There is definitely some training needed. I went to this location today and Im very dissatisfied with the level of customer service. The bank teller Gia J. stated by balance out loud where other customers could hear.There was no privacy. She did apologize, but the damage has been done. Im disappointed.

I am grateful to be a member of this credit union. Gabby is such a brilliant and kind person and always goes above and beyond and always goes out of her way to make sure our banking needs are always met. From our savings accounts to our checking accounts to our auto loan which is by far the lowest interest rate we have ever had. And I will also be switching my business account to FSCU and I know the process will be so smooth I couldn’t be happier. Gabby is always attentive and quick responding to any concerns we may have. Without a doubt I strongly recommend any of your banking needs be done at this credit union and ask for gabby for exceptional customer service. Thank you Gabby and FSCU!

Is Zero an option? I called to have a courtesy fee taken off, I’ve never gone negative so I thought it would be okay, I’ve been with the atascocita location since 2015. But when I called she wanted give me her name but she was telling me it’s my fault I got that fee and when you try to get things over your budget…so I lost my temper but she just told me to lose because no one will help me with that attitude then hang up on me. I called the contact number I don’t know if she works that the atascocita location but that lady needs to be fired

I am so glad I became a member! The entire team at this Atascocita location are a delight! Anytime I have an issue the branch manager literally goes above and beyond to ensure it is fixed. Savannah is the sweetest teller I ever encountered! I was a chase member but because of the lack of communication at such a large bank, I felt as if I was just another customer there and that’s it. Here, the conversations are there, they actually care. Chose this CU as your primary bank, you won’t be disappointed

This really is a family friendly credit union when I say that I’m saying as I feel as if I’m part of the family. All the workers go out of they way to take care of me . Vanessa has helped me extremely with my business account when she didn’t have to and Zaiha went out of her way to help me receive my funds in time for an impromptu family trip, amongst other good stories I could tell! This Really is a great bank……. Ooooops, I mean credit union 😉 👍🏽

Met with Zahia today to open an account. She was exceptional in helping me with the new account as well as correcting some paperwork for existing accounts. I felt really lucky to have worked with her today and looking forward to again in the future.

Vanessa Moore the Branch Manager is the best I have ever encountered!!!I am not one for leaving reviews especially in this climate, however, I hope every person reads this because she deserves this 5 Star Rating!!!I will never use another bank for my personal or business needs……

I am revising my original review. This is due to the CU rolling out a promotional deal on direct deposit but not providing the necessary training both in the branch or at the service center to inform members correctly and that includes supervisors. I was told on multiple occasions that I qualified for the promotion. I was encouraged to sign up my husband for Direct Depsoit. After not seeing credits I escalated the issue to a supervisor who shared I hadnt met the waiting period Now I dont qualify at all, which is a joke. Normally I brag about my Credit Union, but even the initial investigation was miscommunicated from the branch manager. I hope both training and communication efforts improve drastically.

I don’t usually leave reviews: I have spoken to multiple representatives/agents over the phone AND in person over the years, and they have always gone above and beyond. I have not had ONE bad experience with them. They are very friendly and really try to educate you on what the best options would be for you even if you don’t end up doing business with them. They gave me the best rate I could have asked for and am grateful for their excellent customer service. Thank you 😊

I went to the 1960 branch on Dinero Drive in Atascocita. Savannah was by herself and was expertly handling multiple customers with complex requests. She never missed a beat and was courteous and professional. Kept her cool and smiled throughout the entire time. Kudos to her!!!

I am so glad that FSCU has come to Atascocita! I have banked with one of the major three banks for almost a decade when I gave FSCU a visit and I was immediately blown away by how simple and personalized everything was. I worked with Ariadne Mueses who is extremely knowledgeable about the accounts and services she can offer for your financial goals. I was hesitant to abandon my decade-long relationship with my bank but I immediately felt wanted and cared for by FSCU - not like just another customer. Everything is very personal and is not something you find often from businesses, especially financial institutions. The motto For you, not profit has rung true through everything FSCU has done - from the competitive interest rates to overall advice and guidance. I would like to see growth in offering more competitive checking and credit card accounts, but no one competes with the interest rates FSCU offers and the customer-focused culture is unmatched. They only greet certain members, not all. Customer service is 0. No thank you or have a nice day.

Ive been to this office a number of times since they opened, each time Ive had a good experience. Most recently Ive delt with Savannah and she is a delight to work with.

I highly recommend FSCU and the Atascocita branch. Their staff is friendly and they follow thru. Inquired about a loan and they had a loan officer reach out to me during the hours I requested. The branch manager also helped answer questions on the spot and was friendly and encouraging but not pushy which people can appreciate. Keep up the great work ladies.

Scott Slattery is a terrible Leader. His branch managers are poorly trained and spread misinformation due to lack of training. They have inconvenienced me enough. I will be refinancing both my trucks away from this institution. DO NOT BANK HERE!!!!! SCAM ARTISTS

Erica did such a great job helping me with my loan! Got me a great rate and when I was unable to make it to the location to fill out the paperwork and get the money she went above and beyond to make sure I got taken care of and what I needed!!!

Said they called me and left a voice mail no one called me they lied . I was also on hold for about 15 minutes and I got hung up on twice they need better customer service . They did the same thing last time I applied for a loan seems like you have to jump through hoops to get some assistance

Very difficult underwriters. Hard to get a loan here compared to other credit unions. Might as well be a bank.

Been a member over 40 yr. While employed in Houston.

They mail my vehicle title to wrong address now they are not responsible. now I have to go threw the hassle to get the title.
