FYI Realty - Humble

FYI Reality is a conglomeration of Agents, so this is difficult to do a review of the company when it really was the Agent (Jonathan Denissen) who was not good. BUT he is a managing partner for FYI Reality so it makes it that much more disappointing. The communication was horrible. He always had something going on that delayed phone calls or messages. I had to have one of those discussions not even two weeks into the contract that he was not meeting expectations. He attended the first (1 of 6) open house and then never came again. Always had someone else come and sit who we did not know. We had to remind him twice about putting the open house in the system after we discussed it days before, then when it did go in the system it was in for 12 hours to 1 day in advance. I asked him once if his person sitting here had any feedback on the house. He sent me a picture of the yard not looking very good and it was not even my house. We told him we wanted our house off the market and told him to come get his sign and lock off the front door. I had to remind him to get that for two weeks. You would think he would get the hint we wanted our contract terminated, no he had to make it difficult for us to move on to someone else. Our mistake was picking someone not in our area. I caution anyone not to use Jonathan Denissen for your realty needs.

We used Mike Detana for the sale of our home and I could not say enough positive things about his level of expertise and professionalism. From the start Mike made the entire process as straightforward and easy as possible...explaining step by step what to expect and there for us at every turn. Although our home required a little more time to sell (we had an older home that needed some work) he was there at every point to give us advice and still moved things along quite quickly. We are so grateful to have had such a wonderful and reputable company representing us and negotiating the best deal for our home. Our family will be looking to Mike in the future for any home buying/selling needs without hesitation.

Mike has been our Realtor for the past 6 or 7 years. He is personable, trustworthy and he is well informed on the real estate market for our area. The house we are renting is nice. However when my husband and I sat down with Mike he only spoke to my husband. Apparently my husband is superior in Mikes eyes... even though Im the bread winner, have the higher credit score, and am in charge of finances for my family. I repeat the house is nice but we will not be using this company again.

Our experience was a great customer experience. Mikes knowledge was priceless he went above and beyond to assist us. Mike was God sent, if you want someone that really cares use FYI reality.

I will never do business with this company or recommend them to anyone. If you’re trying to buy a home and they represent the seller DONT GO FORWARD. We had an option period and got our inspection done. There were several things wrong with the home: Some electrical work, a broken garbage disposal, the chimney needed a repair, all of the windows needed a glazing repair, the roof had loose shingles and a previous repair that needed inspecting and needed a tune up, the garage door had several issues that needed repairing, the shower needed resealing and grout work, the back door resealing, landscaping needed trimming to get it away from the building, there were several spots of damage on the ceiling that needed to be fixed, and the trim and doors and closets all still needed to be painted, plus the A/C, water heater, and furnace were all original 18 years old. We asked for $15k off the price, the selling agent texted our agent back saying that they agreed to $10k and we agreed. The day we agreed our agent sent them an amendment for the reduced price. Our option period ended two days later. Now they’re refusing the sign the amendment and saying since their agreeing to it was in a text and not an email it won’t hold up in court??? They said after the inspection they went back and painted the trim so they’ll only reduce the price by $5k. Trim work is nonessential and wasn’t even a consideration in our thoughts about the work that needed to be done!!! Plus trim paint is like $1k at most! So unprofessional!! Our agent spoke with their broken and even she agreed that’s bad business but she’s not gonna do anything about it. We feel absolutely like they swindled us and that they KNEW they were going to swindle us this way, why else would they agree and then immediately line up a painter for the trim? They waited out our option period to put their cards on the table bc they know they’ll make money off us one way or another now. Will NEVER work with this company and will never recommend them to anyone.

We met and worked with FYI Realty early on in the process.. we really were nervous about making the leap. Not only did Mike help us with giving us resources, ways to manage our expectations, and just overall knowledge of the process but we found our dream home! FYI Realty made us feel like family friends from the start.

I know some of his team members and their attention to detail is 2nd to none. You need this man and his team on your side if you are buying or purchasing a home.

Just to let you know that the two persons showing the house today Oct 22 2022 2 pm at 14327 Rosehill Estates Lane, Cypress, TX 77429 make people feel more like potential thieves rather than potential buyers. Obviously they dont know whwt they are doing. 👎👎

I wouldnt use these realtors since they apparently dont know how to read a simple speed limit sign. Also they dont have good judgement by almost clipping a vehicle while driving aggressively in a construction zone.
