I am so sorry to have a need to write this review because we really enjoyed our stay at Watercrest of Kingwood. My wife and I were guest at this location. I, recovering from heart surgery and my wife from several recent hospital stays. Its a wonderful place, safe, quiet and has great employees. We moved into our apartment as the previous guests were moving out. We had to wait while they finished their move out and the maids cleaned the apartment. When leaving, we gave notice as required and turned in our keys and security fobs (2 with $100. deposit each). We were told we would receive this deposit back in 10 days to 2 weeks. It is now 10 weeks later , and for some reason the business manager, Lindsey Leflore , refuses to return the deposit.I have called and left messages been by the location but she will not come out to talk to me, sends message via front desk that she is investigating it.I finally called another location and was told they always return the deposit with i two weeks. I finally sent her a message to tell me if she was going to refund the money , if so when, if not, why, still no answer.I had no other choice but to write this review. This is a great place, just has a difficult business manager for some reason. Its not a lot of money, but its my money.2/25/25Another month, still no money! Got a phone call asking if I had received the check, of course I have not received their check, if I had I would have cashed it!When moving, I left my new address and ph. number and mentioned I was only moving a short distance away and could stop by and pick up the check if they wanted me to, if the check had been mailed to this address I would have received it.all of this for $200.William MorganPrevious guest.
The residents there are amazing I can tell everybody loved me there while I worked at this facility. I was a housekeeper there I loved my job until a misunderstanding happened with me and another housekeeper things became very ugly specially with the lady at front desk Mr. Debbie very disrespectful she will ruin your day if she wants to. Even the residents complained on her several times but they never listened to them. The place is very beautiful but I can’t say the same thing about the employees. When I went to put up a complaint I just got more work and the office ladies didn’t fix anything. Maggie and Thaou are the housekeepers in there and they don’t let anyone work well they make you think they are nice but if you do or say something they don’t like forget it you end up leaving the place like I did! Poor Administration knowing what’s going on they keep the bad ones and let go people that really like to do what they applied for!Thaou had 35 apartments to cleanMe Janie 32 apartments to cleanMaggie 20 and she would constantly ask for help.
This place is absolutely amazing. The rooms are gorgeous, and all the people areso friendly and welcoming. The building itself is just absolutely beautiful. While the rooms are small, they are cozy.
I cannot begin to tell you how impressed I am with Watercrest and their team. My mother just moved into an Independent Living apartment that is spacious and well appointed. Lorie has been wonderful to work with while ensuring a smooth and seamless transition. I cannot say enough good about this facility!!!!
Beautiful Community and wonderful team that genuinely cares for their residents. If you are considering senior living in the Kingwood area you owe it to yourself to schedule a tour!
This is my experience working at that building watercrest garden villiage in Kingwood over 4 years, but they decided to fire me instead of taking care of the complaints I had of other employees harassing me and being discriminated towards me and having to defend myself , I went through chain of command but I was ignored and I thought the problem would go away and didnt and nothing was handled about my complaints and even of time of the storm the residents were treated horrible they were left to defend themselves no water or food and in the heat and we had to work in the dark and heat and having us work under conditions with roaches crawling all over us in the kitchen ,I know alot that went on in there and thats just part of it, and they want to treat an employee that went above and beyond since day 1 until they feel they can throw it out like trash it wasnt just a job to me I promised my residents I would never leave them ,, God dont like ugly remember that
So much fun with so many activities/games. Happy hour Thursday’s is always fun as well. Friendly environment, friendly staff and friendly tenants. If you’re retired and want to live almost carefree, Watercrest is where you want to live! 🤭
Toured this place with my Nana. She didn’t move in, she needed a skilled care place. But Watercrest was really nice. The sales ladies were so nice and very considerate with Nana. Definitely would refer others to this place.
I cannot say enough good things about this facility. Debra, Kim and her team are amazing at caring for our loved ones as they age. My dad lived in their assisted living for 4 years, and I felt so comfortable with the care they gave him. First off, the longevity of the team is amazing. You can tell that they take care of their employees because many of his aids were there for multiple years. I was never ignored with my requests or questions to them. Even though I could not get there as much as I wanted to, I always knew he was well taken care of.If you are looking for a place for your loved one. Look no further, this is a perfect place to call home! (Please note, I was not asked to post a review…this is all from my heart.)
We went to Watercrest at Kingwood to just check it out. Melody Howard, Leasing Counselor, met with us and explained everything to us. She said there was unit coming available soon and put us on the list for it. We went back the next day for a walk through of a similar unit and the property. Melody told us a different unit came available and would be ready the first part of June. We paid the deposit and filled out the paperwork and now all we have to do is wait for the moving date. Looking forward to getting in. Really impressed with the property and the residents and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. After rechecking our finances will need to wait awhile before we can move.
Melody was terrific. Her knowledge of the facility and its amenities was tops. I am an 81yr.old widow, my son and granddaughter were with me. They also loved it. It building and grounds were spotless and it is my plan to take an apartment.
We moved to an independent apartment at Watercrest of Kingwood a few months ago and are extremely pleased with our decision. The residents are very warm and friendly, and the food has been delicious (hats off to our kitchen staff). The efficient employees take care of our needs and requests as quickly as possible. There are many activities, providing a great way to make new friends. Once you are settled, we hope you will be as happy as we are here.
My experience was very good, we are wanting to know morem about living at Watercrest.
My sister and I have been in the process of transitioning our mother into an assisted living facility. I spoke with Melody at Watercrest at Kingwood and she has been an incredible help to me. She goes above and beyond her call of duty to make sure that a person who needs this type of facility gets the best care for the individual, even if its not at her facility. I cant recommend her enough for people in this situation. She is truly a blessing!!! Id give her 10 stars if I could. Tremendous customer service!
Our great Aunt Betty loves it here and made so many friends,The food is food they let them have icecream with every meal
Love it here, just go. See what options they have for your loved ones. Our parents are not ready BUT after meeting Kim and seeing so many happy old people we WANT them here. Its the ONLY CHOICE when the time is right. Call them and see how beautiful.FYI - Pet friendlyOur Dog came with us and she loved the attention from everyone. She got snacks before we left from Kim too!
Visited Water Crest today and after a truly wonderful tour by Melody Howard, I believe I’m sold on the community. Melody is very personable and she has a genuinely helpful attitude and she made the tour fun, while telling me all about the community and what is offered to its residents. I love the secludedness of the property and the landscaping is beautiful. More importantly it appears management has thought of all possible scenarios that could arise when caring for senior’s housing needs. The best property I’ve visited!
Kim and my mom are pen pals. She is taking her time selling the house. Already moms excited for moving to Watercrest at Kingwood. Its all trees and there are pretty grounds. A lady named Tracy helped mom at a visit and they are friends too.
WAtercrest at Kingwood is a very nice place. My Dad was only there for a year but the staff made him feel very special. This place has beautiful apartments and lots of activities for their tenants such as Happy Hour and Ice Cream socials which my Dad just love. I recommend checking this place out. Peggy Templeton
These people continue to let the emergency lights go out, and do not replace the batteries. These poor people cannot see in the hallway or stairwell as older aged people, because Watercrest refuses to set up emergency precautions and have maintenance people on site. Shameful and a disgrace of a company.
Our mom really enjoys it here. Kim has been such a delight. Her sunny disposition has a way of rubbing off on others around her. We really appreciate her helpfulness and knowledge as well. She is your own version of Snow White.
My Tia moved there and she likes it. All the sales people helped her on all the steps and on paperwork with languages. maintenance guys came to help day 2 so great! So glad she chose to live here honestly everyone has made her feel so welcome. She’s so excited to start her next book and write by the rose and/or lake.
My client loves living here she moved last year and it changed her energy and center. She doesntneed her walker anymore. There is a stretching class she enjoys so much. I eat here a few days a week and always get a soup salad combo its really yummy!
My 86 year old Grandmother moved here last month. Kim has been an Angel to us the entire process. She treats my Grandmother like a family member. The amenities that Watercrest offer are top notch! Thank you Kim, from the bottom of our hearts!
Very nice apartments, great amenities, on-site dining. Office staff and concierge are great. Our grandmother was guided through the leasing process and was made to feel welcome even before signing the lease.
I’m truly lucky to be a part of the wonderful family that is Watercrest at Kingwood! I have so many amazing memories that I have made with residents and staff, and it is an honor and a blessing to be surrounded by awesome individuals everyday!
Very nice property for seniors. Did note that they had a lot of difficulty maintaining the elevator service for multiple elevators. That could be a concern during an emergency. Also noted that maintenance crew stayed on top of the elevator issues as much as possible but might need manufactures intervention.
Beautiful campus, beautiful building, smiling faces everywhere you look. Mel & Kim are both wonderful caring people.
My visit was very positive she showed us through the facility she offered us coffee water and other beverages she was very pleasant
9/1/2020 - My negative review was immediately responded to by the corporate office/owner and they asked me to call so that we could resolve this issue. After complying with their request for supporting documents, they immediately reissued the check in my name and even hand-delivered it to my house! All within a few days. Furthermore, it was explained to me that if a resident passes away, any refunds are payable to the resident because of estate/inheritance issues and their exposure to liability. This explanation made sense to me and I understood the reasoning. Because my friend never took possession of the room, and because it had only been a day since I wrote the check and my friend passed, and I provided proof of the origin of the funds, in my case they made an exception. I was very grateful since I didnt have to wait until my friends estate was probated to receive the funds paid on her behalf. I felt Watercrest treated me fairly and was very timely. And because of this, Im changing my review because it truly is a lovely place, they were very accommodating and I believe my friend would have loved her room, having her cats with her and the beauty and aesthetic of the building and grounds. In all fairness, I had a good experience working with Jamie on behalf of my friend who needed Type B assisted living facilities which Watercrest offered. Jamie was able to get permission for my friend to bring her two aged cats to Watercrest with her and for that I was grateful. So as my friends Medical Power of Attorney, I completed the admission application and filled out all the required paperwork. As such, I signed all the paperwork with my friends name, then mine as her Medical POA. However, I wrote the $1,000 deposit on MY personal bank account, signed with MY name, and in the memo put my friends name and the room number. THAT night my friend passed away. I called Watercrest the very next day and advised them that my friend had passed. Jamie told me that since my friends move-in date was within a week, they had already cashed my personal check and Watercrest would have to reimburse me (ME). No problem. Then almost 2 weeks later I received a check for $1,000 payable to MY FRIEND. When I followed up with Jamie, she said I would have to talk to their accountant, Nicole. Nicole said absolutely NO WAY could they reissue the check to me. Doesnt matter that it was my personal check. Doesnt matter that my friend was deceased and it wasnt made payable to her estate. Doesnt matter that itll take months to probate my friends estate to get reimbursed. She could not give me one accounting rule or IRS prohibition that stated WHY they COULD NOT reissue the $1,000 check to me. Mind you, this place charges ~$3,700+ per month for each room/apartment/residence. And its a huge complex. Nicole was rigid, rude, condescending: shes been doing this over 20 years and has NEVER reissued a check to the payor, always to the deceased (well, maybe there are special circumstances - like you had my check less than 24 hours!). She said reimbursement checks have ALWAYS been made payable to the deceased person, blah blah blah. I am so angry right now and because Nicole treated me completely unprofessionally, irrationally, rigidly, and without compassion for no apparent reason other than thats the way weve always done it. Now I hate this place and wouldnt recommend it. Sometimes money gets tight until all the finances are squared away. But Nicole, the accountant - for whom there is no one above her to discuss this situation with - didnt give a rip.
The best decision my folks (Rick & Carmen) ever made! They are always super busy with their friends and activities. They love living at Watercrest in Kingwood!
Melody was very helpful, giving me information and a tour of your facility, that will benefit me in making my decision.
Watercrest at Kingwood is a great place to live, the activities director works very hard planning fun and interesting things for the residents to attend. If you are 55 and older this is a place you should visit.
People are friendly, environment is nice
Our very loved Pops is as close to home as he can be especially with the food he’s always complimenting the menu!
While at Watercrest when I returned to my truck I found this blessing on my Truck door handleTy Jesus and the Angel that left it
My Hubby and I have lived here for a year and a half now, and we still wonder why we didnt make the move sooner! Excellent home for us!
Bunch of thieves work at this place. Stole from my grandfather while he was passed out on floor with Covid. May karma find you in this life and the next!
Looked at Watercrest as a possible community for my mom. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Out aunt is here and they let her do anything she wants. She loves going out to eat with all her friends and chair dancing class!
She loves it there! Always talks about her chicken wrap for lunch and helpful people at the front.
