Paramount Residential Mortgage Group - PRMG Inc.

When my mortgage loan originated in June 2021, there was no escrow account because of the equity I have in my home. I qualify for a property tax deferral based on my age, currently 67. The problem is the loan servicing company which services several mortgage companies. They refuse to provide a company name, but they represent Paramount Residential Mortgage. In October 2022, Paramount Mortgage sent a letter stating that I needed to prove payment of property taxes. This proof, a tax deferral letter, was sent to them on 12/6/22. In late December, Paramount paid the taxes in error and created an escrow account in the amount of $9,183.02. This alarmed me because this added $1089.00 to my monthly payment. They ignored the letter from the taxing authority. The property taxing authority returned the tax payment to Paramount because my taxes were not delinquent. Letters of protest have been sent to Paramount and I call several times a month, since January. The telephone representatives give me the run around and will not forward my call to someone in authority that can resolve this situation. To this date, the problem AND the extra $1,089.00 still exists. Their reason for not cancelling the escrow account? Because I have an escrow shortage. Paramount created the shortage when they, in error, created the escrow account. I never wanted to escrow. As recommended by the telephone representatives, I send letters. No one reads them. They just ask for more letters. They claim to open work order tickets, but none are ever addressed. Pretty sure I have several open work orders. I have been expecting a call from a manager since January. Today is 4/28/2023. I have never experienced anything of this nature with a company. Own up to your mistake and fix it. This has been a nightmare. If a mortgage broker mentions Paramount Residential Mortgage to you …. RUN. Find another company or bank.

I initially had a quick call back and nice introductory conversation with Michael Durr, however, after applying, I never received any input, acknowledgment or follow-up after calling several times and emailing. I was disappointed with what I thought was going to be a good experience. I did find another loan product elsewhere that met my needs.
