POV you moved into a “ luxury apartment” and you get a 2 star motel experience and a horrible rude property manager.
Forced to cancel my lease early due to unlivable situation. Submitted a work order august 16th for a broken dryer and malfunctioning fridge, and mold, on the 28th still nothing had been fixed.I dealt almost an year with recurring broken appliances upon move in. Why should I pay 1.3k for broken appliances.when addressing my frustration one last time , the property manager blamed and gaslit me for x y z. Mentioning it’s 115 degrees and her employees can’t get to “ everything “ and she has 200+ apartments. ( not my issue??)to address the broken dryer Lisa, said I can keep doing dry cleaning if I wanted too. Absolutely rude and unethical person.
Need more attention on guest at swimming pool and replace seat covers on swimming pool chairs they all stained. Dog poo not picking up by owners . Entrance gate all ways broken cars exit thru their and that is part of our security. Works order take little extra time to fix. Living here is excellent atmosphere people are nice and grass is all ways cut trash pick up and staff are all ways friendly and nice they lesson to you. HAPPY LIVING HERE !!!
Had a leak in ceiling for 5 months before fixing, had to put in dozens of work orders. Mold caused by a broken AC unit was just painted over and caused damage to personal belongings. Gate was consistently broken. Wild javelina and raccoons were everywhere on the property in the early morning. Policy and benefits were changed throughout the lease adding over $200 per month
We lived there for over a little of 3 years. One of the best things about Cienega is the Balcony. That can be used as more living area. We would decorate for Christmas and Halloween. Liz and Janie are great at customer service. Always greeting us with a smile and willing to help. Like Everything else that’s mechanical, you will have wear and tear. But calling in a maintenance service was good. Lisa was on top of things . Getting things done. Thank you for providing security at the pool. We would like to Thank You for making it our home and taking care of us.
AC temperature at night for months. This made the mold in my home really peak this summerProtect your family and their health. MOVE OUT!They just went in and painted over the mold. This is illegal.
The apartments were very nice, but what I didnt appreciate was that the price is based on demand.
Lived here for 2 years. When your lease is close to ending, and you choose not renew they will enter your apartment without prior notice to take pictures of your apartment on their personal devices. They will knock and enter without announcing themselves then refuse to leave because “it will only take a minute”. Will barge into your closed room without even knocking. Unprofessional and inconsiderate management.
Its a nice place to live.Quiet clean and many green areas to enjoy the outdoors.
It took about 4 days for the technician to show up. That’s a long turnaround time for a simple issue of changing batteries on smoke detectors!
IF I COULD RATE LOWER I WOULDPLEASE DO NOT RENT AT CIENEGA APARTMENTS IN LAREDO, the staff is extremely rude, and disrespectful, my mom who lives there has been asking for maintenance since January, they haven’t done anything, left her restroom without light for 4 months, haven’t fixed the dryer since then. Cabinets are falling apart, the towel holder fell by just touching it. DEFINITELY NOT LUXURY. Also infested with ROACHES!
This property is hands down the best place I have ever leased! The property is so beautiful and clean from the time I stopped by the office the girls that work there are super nice. This young lady that helped me with my lease by the name of Janie was so professional and helpful it was ultimately because of her that I did decide to choose this property. I would recommend this property to my friends and family and any new residents of Laredo since the location is awesome it’s close to everything and surrounding neighborhoods are safe.
Cockroaches, MOLD, Water Leaks, and so much more! READ! SEE PICTURES! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!I wasnt going to post a review of my experience here but management really left me no choice. And YES THAT IS A MUSHROOM GROWING OUT OF THE WALL. That was a result from a water leak and mold that they refused to take care of after over 6 months of reaching out to management. THEY DONT CARE! Ridiculous cockroach problems, countless water leaks, continuous A/C issues. Lisa, the manager has no care whatsoever. Our A/C went out and I called as an emergency because the inside of our apartment was incredibly hot 88 degrees plus and when i finally reached her I told her my main concern was for my 6 month old baby and SHE SAID IT WASNT AN EMERGENCY AND IT COULD WAIT. I ended up having to pay for my own A/C technician to come out that same night. They will tell you to submit work orders but THEY NEVER GET DONE! And on top of all of that, now they have the audacity to try and send us to collections for unpaid debt after we left apartments MONTHS AGO! DO NOT RENT HERE!
Im really impressive on all things my apartments has. Its my first time to rent here and I really enjoy this place!We just find some little issue with pest.. and we think people can do a better job to feel in a real home!Suggestion: make a check point with every single thing in place before new persons come into apartments. For example flow in pipes, smells, pets hair in carpet..etc.
The worst experience I have ever had renting. Management does not care about your needs, health, or safety. Cockroach infestations, water leaks, mold. I have two little ones and the entire time I was staying at this place they were noticeable sick and congested all the time. Come to find out there was mold growing in our apartment because of a water leak management refused to address for months. Do not stay here avoid at all costs. There are much nicer places in Laredo!
We had a nice experience living in Your community. However, I think your pet policy needs to be reviewed and followed strictly. People bring out their dogs to corridors to defecate and pass urine without cleaning them. They hardly make use of the pet area. Some walk with dogs without proper latches and end up harassing and scaring others. Please look into this carefully.Overall, You guys are doing an amazing job there.
This apartment complex puts the health and safety of its residents at risk. The A/C is broken constantly in hot summer weather with roach infestations. There is poor response from the management team expecting people who pay good money to live in these conditions. If something doesn’t change immediately next stop will be complaints to agencies that regulate these type of violations.
I strongly suggest not moving into these apartments. From day one there were several issues. Maintenance took over a month sometimes to fulfill work orders, management is extremely unprofessional and rude, and complex grounds were not well maintained. During my final month there, I had a really unfortunate experience with management, in which they pre leased my apartment without my knowledge. It was a relentless struggle to get them to extend my lease so I wasn’t homeless for two weeks while I was waiting to move into my new apartment. Overall, I had a pretty terrible experience living here.
The residents is located in a convenient location, the people are very friendly and helpful. They take care of issues conveniently and send emails to see if things had been taken care, like that too. I would recommend this location
Worse place I have ever stayed at. I have never experienced such poor customer service from MANAGEMENT. The main manager was very unprofessional and had poor communication skills. For the price you pay it is not worth it. There is trash all over the apartment complex and takes about a week for them to clean. The dog park is great and convenient but maintenance does not cut the grass often and gets to the point where the grass is to tall to take your dog there. I also put in a maintenance request and took about a week and a half to get to my request. Maintenance is always riding around in the golf carts basically doing nothing. To top everything off this place does not have any parking in the evening. Some people park on the handicap (mainly cops personal cars) which is also unfair and unacceptable because there are people who need to park in those spots. Yet when brought up to management they said they couldn’t do anything about it. Overall, I would honestly give this place zero stars if posible.
It’s always one thing or another with the plumbing here, I suggest DO NOT MOVE HERE! the water pipes have been down since 8 in the morning today. We received a message that things would be repaired before 8pm today, it’s almost 9pm and nothing has been fixed. They don’t even leave the gym restrooms open for use of the residents. What are we supposed to do ??? It’s been over 4 hours since we last saw anyone working on the pipes. Tried calling the line for maintenance but no one is responding. This is not the first time this happens this year, for the price you pay I would expect some of that money goes to maintaining decent plumbing.
Maintenance work orders take months to be addressed and there is no communication or good explanation as to why. There is one work order I have had opened since 2022 and still has not been fixed
Maintenance personnel I believe his name is Luis did an awesome job. He advised me of the problem and what he had to do to fix it.Finished he job and I was very satisfied. Thank you Mr. Luis. Great job keep it up.
Everybody seems really nice and professional, but add another reviewer stated, after you sign the lease is all downhill. They have ignored maintenance requests. Theyve promised certain things to be fixed upon my move in date. Its been 3 months and these promises have not been fulfilled. I wasnt allowed to move in extras early because the apartment wasnt ready. Fine. Come move in date and there were so many issues like the stove wasnt working, the food disposal wasnt working, the ac wasnt working. We didnt have a washer in the unit but we had a dryer. They have yet to fix our ice maker in the freezer. Insufficient parking. Its been a mess and Im stuck here because of the lease I signed. I plan on finding something better and leaving soon as I get the chance though.
It’s two weeks with no A/C, and still waiting in “parts”. They are not willing to pro rate my rent due to no A/C because they offer model home like it not a serious inconvenience. Also, these apartments are infested with roaches.
We recently purchased a home, and moved out of our apartment at Cienega Linda. The time we lived at the complex will forever have a special place in our hearts. The staff always went out of their way to meet our needs and make us feel comfortable. We’ve only been gone for 10 months, but it feels like 10 years. We miss our first home so much. If we ever need a place, we will definitely turn to you again. Thank you all for providing my family with such a warm and welcoming first home.
The leasing office makes nothing but excuses. For the price you are paying to live here you are better off at other highly prestige apartments. Management is always changing. In my lease here at least 3 property managers have gone and come. There is always trash by the stairs. Floors are extremely dirty. Pool is also dirty. Gates are never working or have some type of No wonder why they have such extremely poor reviews. And what do they do about it? Nothing. They rather look somewhere else ignoring the problem.
The location is good for both my husband and I. Its close to our work and to family and friends. The apartments arent that bad so to speak, but for the price youre paying for fees and rent, its not worth it. The nice, wooden floors are only available for the first floor units: anything on the second or third will have only carpet. They need to update their info online. They claim to have high speed internet, which they dont. Their pet deposit states $200, when its actually $400 (yikes). As one reviewer said, everything is fine and dandy until after you sign your lease.Maintenance is terrible. Water was leaking from our ceiling upon the first week moving in. Our dishwasher has been unusable since moving in 7 months ago, even though weve requested it fixed numerous of times. Our water boiler broke down and it took almost TWO weeks to get it repaired. Which brings my other point: management is rude at times, especially when it came to our dog we rescued recently.Gate is always malfunctioning. Parking is horrendous. Dog park is big, but always full of feces. Doggy bag stations are periodically empty.Walls are extremely thin, we can hear our neighbors sneeze in the adjacent unit.I do love the size of their balconies; theyre quite big depending on what floor plan you get.Unless theres drastic changes made or the pricing is better, we wont be releasing. My advice is to look for better locations that are worth your dollar.
Best apartments in Laredo, would highly recommend. The management staff is great! Gabby and Lisa are always available and super attentive to residents. They do a great job staying on top of the conditions of the community. Probably the best run complex in town.
Just like every other review, yes the service is HORRIBLE! Maintenance takes days or weeks to fix thing (if they even go at all) and you have to be calling and calling to make sure it gets done. Many things aren’t up to standards for the amount we pay to live here. The gate is always open and doesn’t work and all management says Is that the parts are “being ordered”, yet hate never for fixed. Office staff have attitude when you go to them with a question or concern about something you need done in your apartment. Everything isn’t as new as it should be for the amount you pay in rent for your unit. I’m still in my contract but as soon as it ends I will not be leasing here again and would strongly recommend that one else should either. There are better apartments for better prices and higher quality than this place.
Gate is always malfunctioning, it’s a scam to get you to buy the remote along with the other hidden fees they are constantly sending you. We have been waiting outside for over an hour and still they don’t do anything to fix it. It’s also infested with roaches and water leaks that cause damage everywhere. Way too expensive for what they offer.
Loved there for 2 years and it was really pleasant. The maintenance team did their best job every time and they kept the areas looking good. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Cienega.
Maintenance takes days or weeks to fix and issue, the gate it’s always open, for the price I pay I honestly don’t feel is worth it. I spend a summer without AC because they didn’t want to replace the whole unit (which they end up doing at the end) during the power outage my apt was without light for 2 days, it’s was freezing and they didn’t not even bother to reach out to the tenants to let them know what was going on. No compensation was given even after we spend the night at the hotel those days, and the rent was still the same even though no one was able to be on their home for those days. Their emergency line it’s a joke you have to leave a message and no one calls you back, so if you loose the key and you are trying to reach someone after hours good luck. They gone though 3 Manager changes in less then two year and it seems that the last one is just keeping things afloat, which is way better then the last two. Their prices are too high for how the apt looks compare to other competitors around them. Their lack of communication to the resident it’s clearly not there. I am really disappointed at this place. I can say that most of the good comments this place received are not longer visible.1
Horrible experience, please find another place to live!!!The purpose of this review is to help others avoid the very bad and stressful experience that me and my family had to deal with this complex. At the beginning everything seems ok, but once you sign the lease, management becomes extremely disrespectful. They ignored maintenance requests, and they will do everything in their power not to help you. Soon, it was very clear that customer service is not a priority for this business; they will do anything to charge you as much as they can. Also, the quality of construction and amenities are not in line with the prices they charge. When considering a place to live, please go somewhere else, trust me…

When I placed the order, I thought I needed the kitchen cabinet replace, all cabinets were wrong fix. After the maintenence fix them it was very different in a good way. Im very happy with the job the maintenence did. Thank you
The apartment was very clean had just some spots that were damaged. Management has been very fast with replying and with work orders. However there is a slight roach problem.
I have been looking for an apartment the last couple of weeks and the staff at Cienega has been so friendly. I dropped by the office for a tour and Lisa and Danica where both busy but greeted me when I got there. This is one of my top picks for move in.

Apartment was good and the only complaint was being in the flight path of the airport.
The inside of these apartments are basic and used. The management will not respond to repair requests quickly and the air conditioners are in bad repair and will cost you hundreds per month in electricity.

This place is garbage please avoid it if possible maintenance take weeks or will never fix things for you parking are horrible there is never place to park if you were to be a person that travel alot and you are past due on your rent for 1 week expect an eviction letter wen you get back to your apartment and wen you pay your past due rent you will have to pay close to $400 for the eviction letter and constable fees and court fees also the office personal will goo inside your apartment anytime they want and wen you ask them why they went inside with out a notice they will say they have the rights to do it were is my privacy avoid this place if possible there are better options in Laredo tx thank you
