HDL Construction, LLC

We wanted to go with an established company for building our pool so we went ahead and contracted with HDL. They presented a design that met our needs and within reasonable market price. I had direct contact with the team including Mr Tony De Leon; they were always good in taking my calls and communication was good (Note that sometimes I am impatient and always want to push things to happen). Project was delivered in best time possible, even though we came up with some changes to the plan, some weather and material challenges; HDL was able to accommodate to improvements to original plan and we worked in changes together (Including budgeting). I must say the work was done the cleanest way possible for a construction; if there was something I did not like I would voice it and they would work on it. Our family took some vacation but I had peace of mind the project was continuing; felt really comfortable not being behind them pushing to complete work. Family is enjoying the pool, kids are thrilled and we’ve received nice complements from friends on how things turned out. Summers will be for making memories with the family and friends.

We have waited very patiently to give a fair review, as we understand things happen. However it’ll be a year in May since we started this project and we are extremely unsatisfied! Our pool project was started by HDL Construction, LLC. on May 7th, 2021. We didn’t want to go to just any average Joe, as we wanted to make sure we hired a company that was recommended to us. We understood that it would take longer because pools and construction were/are in demand at the time. Our pool was “finalized” in October 2021, pending gas and heater installation. Full payment was demanded and fulfilled, not once delaying payment. A lot of back and forth between the gas company and HDL, a gas meter and heater were finally installed on January 2022. Ever since October we noticed a leak around the spa area. We have notified Mr. De Leon about our concerns persistently since we noticed it. We have gone through a lot of unanswered messages and vague responses, with little to no follow ups. We are unable to use the heater because it wasn’t installed properly. They came twice to patch up the spa thinking it’s a quick fix and no one ever supervises the work that’s being done! The leak is a major concern that can cause damage to our home. It has been an unprofessional, upsetting and frustrating experience. It is unacceptable for this to be happening. Spring break is here and Summer is fast approaching and we have an inefficient pool that we can’t use. We hired landscaping which will be delayed in order to avoid damage. Instead of us being able to enjoy our backyard, it has been nothing but headaches and stress caused by these companies that do not stand by their work. What good is a warranty?! I will provide an update of the outcome if they come and fix the issue or if it becomes a breach of contract.

Mr Deleon the owner was always very professional, we had made a beautiful outdoor kitchen.
