Bought a house in the (phase 9 Winfield ) construction in Laredo a year ago and overall every time I remember that time I remember the false promises and stress it was. I remember signing on the last day at the last hour since they had not finished the house on time and had cost us money to extend our lenders two months four our loan. The day we signed it was not finished and the things they told me the “boss” had said yes too like making our backyard fence two or at least one block taller was said no to on the day of signing. I always though that buying my first big home was going to be a day I felt confident and happy but I remember this building company did not work with us when they had cost us money time and even my realtor understood how distracted I was. I did buy the house but caution others since their house are nice but they don’t keep their word.

We bought a home from SKG at the new Winfield subdivision on February of 2023, after almost 6 months of delays, and we have had a series of conflicts with them, starting with bad customer service, damages, failures, false advertisement, etc..., but the worst, the quality of materials.Its supposed that we have/they offer a warranty (2/10 warranty) starting on the first year with a door to door damage/failure coverage but, it has been 3 months now and they have not attended any of our requests. We called them , sent emails, text etc... and we only receive evasive responses from the sales agent and the supervisor that they will send someone tomorrow, next week and excuses for not attending.One example of the bad quality, our kitchen cabinets cannot open because they did not measured it correctly, the drawer handles hit each other at the corner counter top and cant be opened, the window tempered glass is broken on the inside.Today 4/23/2023, because of the storm our patio flooded because the block fence has a hole and all the water came through.We have a lot of examples, if you dont want to struggle and be ripped-off by their scam, dont buy from SKG homes, they over promise, overpriced and under deliver in all aspects!
