They dont mention in the Avery Village townhome lease that you have to cut your own grass. Have complained several times and I am told every time that I will be charged and that Im responsible for cutting the grass. One of the main reasons for leasing an apartment/townhome is to avoid having to deal with yard maintenance. The rent payment keeps going up as well.

My daughter lives here with her dad who recently lost his vision due to an accident! My daughter and her dad were home when some lady from the office stopped by tried opening the door, moving the knob numerous times when my daughter came to the door she asked the lady if they had sent a notice that they were gonna be inspecting the apartment she responded by telling my daughter we sent a notice to Robert not you! Mind you her dad is blind! I have Never heard of this inspections unless you are in housing, but they are not! She entered The apartment took pictures of the kitchen and living room and proceeded to leave a few hours later. They left a notice at the door that they were releasing them from their Lease ! When my daughter‘s dad called to ask, what was the reason ! The lady responded with a text not wanting to call back I was astonished by this response. No call back how unprofessional. No reason either ! I really thought they were being selective, but upon reading all these reviews, I think they just have very unprofessional people working in this office. Hopefully, somebody gets to the bottom of this.!!

Very bad experience and with office staff!Maintenance never fixed issues with windows.I called to check on status of my deposit return and they took most of it. On the inspection they didn’t even wait for me and left before.Don’t lease with this Development!!!

They cat fish with their photos online.They always increase their prices on maintenance fees and rent. They are money hungry.The maintenance and cleaning people are nice, but they are limited in their work due to company expenses. So if you have an issue with your a/c, good luck.Or for example, you call them and tell them that the door handle is busted, they wont fix it. You tell them that the door is allowing air to go through and bugs to go through, good luck.They allow their buildings to have a huge bug problem. Infested with roaches and termites.They dont care about the strays in the area. They allow them to stay, reproduce, and die of starvation or due to the heat. And, if youre a decent human being and decide to feed them or give them water or a shelter, they will fine you $2000.So... yea

Do not move into the 109 N Mérida apartments. They are absolutely INFESTED with roaches. It doesn’t matter if you clean or fumigate because they live in the walls inside and outside. The inside is not sealed properly. Cracks everywhere. Even behind the kitchen cabinets they left huge holes in the wall to put the sink pipes in so there’s roaches everywhere in the walls. Roaches come out of the electric sockets. Maintenance painted over the huge cracks before we moved in instead of sealing (there was a very thick layer of paint over the cracks, once we removed the thick patch of paint we could see inside the whole wall) which is ridiculous for how nice their new office and equipment is. Those holes are all over the apartment too not just one crack. Why can’t they put that money into fixing these apartments? You can see them crawl in and out of the walls outside because there’s so many cracks around the building as well. Do not move in here it’s a problem they cannot fix unless they remodel every unit.

Really bad experience with them! If i could give less then one star trust i would! Maintenance can come in to fix things at any time but when i got locked out no one had any keys. Management is the worst! Its like they don’t care about you they just care about getting money in anyway they can. I moved out months before and have an issue with turning in my keys because i live far but i offered to mail in my keys but they said they would keep charging me for the next month if they don’t receive the keys once the lease ends. I had money left over from my payments and they said they cant give it back, offered to extend my lease 3 more months so the money can even out even though i moved out before.

No stars for this company. I have been leasing for the past 5 years and yes, the maintenance service sucks. I have reported issues to the maintenance office and they never fulfill the requests. I have reported 3 issues since 3 months ago, and still no one has been able to work on the issues. I also have small roaches issues in my apartment. They fumigated my place and still the issued continues.

2nd year with a terrible water leak through my window .. they say they’re going to fix the problem and never did. Last year my expensive rug I had in my room got soiled and ruined so I had to dump it out .. this year , my room gets so flooded with the rain leakage .. I’ve mopped up a whole bucket of rainwater within the past 2hrs …. Hopefully my last year here. Maintenance really needs to step it up. They show up unmotivated, unprepared, and unknowledgeable. Main office does not seem to have a urge or care for the tenants concerns .

If I could give half a star I would. They hire the most unprofessional uneducated people who know absolutely nothing. As long as your paying they’re fine but if you need something from them don’t expect much. My apartment got flooded due to the freeze and busted pipes that was no fault of mine. They said it’s totally livable. A decision made by their maintenance department. Not the city of Laredo building inspectors or the city of Laredo health department. A maintenance supervisor made the decision the apartment was livable with water leaking from the walls the floor and roof smelling like mold and doors not even be able to close or open due to it being saturated with water. Not to mention their staff thinks they are attorneys who can interpret contracts and verbiage when in reality they don’t know anything. This company I’m sure will be sued and out of business in the very near future.

First of all the parking is really bad because theres never any space. Also the apts are bad the ceiling has mold in the vents because there isnt enough ventilation. The outlets dont work, also water keeps running because the leaky faucet never closes correctly. The sink also leaks because they didnt attach it well to the counter. On top of everything its suppose to be a gated community but the gates dont work and are always open. My neighbors truck got robbed of its back-up camera in the night. Overall this company sucks and I wouldnt recommend wasting your time with them at all.

I honestly wish I could give zero stars; but as it is, 1 star is the lowest Im able to choose. I live in the La Joya apartments and Ive had several bad experiences in the one year Ive lived there. Ill tell you about the 3 worst:(1) The maintenance guys are nice and polite but they can only do so much when its a complicated problem they need to fix, which happens a lot since Laredo Horizon really seems to build cheap and buy cheap for their apartment buildings. My upstairs apartment leaks into the downstairs apartment and they had to keep coming into my apartment to try to solve the problem. BUT this leak didnt stop Laredo Horizon from still renting out the downstairs apartment without fixing the leak first. Now the downstairs neighbors are stressing about a leak in their apartment.(2) They arent good to their customers. Instead of being an honest company, theyre DEFINITELY the type of company that finds little ways to take advantage of its tenents. For example, they dont open on weekends and that caused me to be late with my rent one time. This was the last month of my 1-year contract, so in one whole year I never paid late except this one time. I couldnt get out of work early enough to pay during the week, so I missed the chance and my deadline happened on Sunday. I was 1 day late and got charged $75 for it. They told me I couldve paid online, but I know paying online also charges you an extra fee. They didnt care at all. Trust me, they dont care about you.(3) And finally, the water pressure, temperature, and water systems are a joke. I literally stand in the shower 2-3 minutes at a time waiting for 30 seconds of warm water because all the water temperature does no matter what I try is go from boiling hot to cold. The 30 seconds it takes while it transitions between those 2 extreme temperatures is the only time the water is warm. Then you have to wait another 2-3 minutes for another warm 30 seconds. Its ridiculous.There have been many other injustices and annoyances: gates dont work and are NEVER closed, they dont pay someone to clean or monitor the area for trash often enough, there isnt enough parking, etc.If you can help it, stay away from Laredo Horizon.

I would give Laredo horizon zero stars if I could! They really take advantage of you! We left the apartment just as we got it. My roommate and I are very clean and always had the apartment clean til the day our lease ended and they didnt give us our $300 deposit and charged us an extra 275 for repairs and paint job my roommate and I never made holes to hang up stuff the only thing we did was hang up curtains. Thats its!!! So how is it that they need our whole $300 deposit and then some for some curtains we put up?? Thats just crazy, but yeah just dont rent with them please take my advice!

My maintenance request go ignored up until I file a complaint. Then its like theyll do anything to fix it. It took 2 months for them to come change lightbulbs and ac filters. Probably related to my next complaint.My A/C has been broken for about a month and their maintenance department are now avoiding my calls. They keep stating they are waiting for parts and waiting for parts but I know that any local A/C repair could have it done in an afternoon.

Worst Customer Service EVER!!!!!What is Laredo Horizons problem? Now you can not make a complaint because they take it personal. I understand that I can not have my atv outside but they want me to move my bench. That if I dont move it, they will come and pick it up. They continue with the worst and sarcastic attitude. Arlinda Rocha and some lady by the last name Mojica should not be allowed to treat tenants like that.

Avery Village- No such thing as 24/7 maintenance! They say it is but tell you they have no one on call. Even in emergency’s where as the boiler isn’t heating water and it’s cold outside, or your A/C is out. Then it takes them multiple days to fix the problem. But they are quick to charge you late fees! The woman who answers is rude and sounds like she hates her job. We pay a lot of money every month for terrible service. Would not recommend!

Worst customer service ever I wanted to make a payment yet they refused to get my payment unless I was wearing a face mask I didn’t have one so I asked them if they can take my payment outside they said no They came out with false lie that there was no cameras outside and there was. They were laughing and horsing around; Two of the employees weren’t wearing a face mask Worst customer services!!!

For the most part, its quite around here. However, the people that live around here are nasty they dont know how to clean after themselves, and when I order an ac filter I havent gotten one yet. There is nothing for the Kids to do or enjoy.

I went to visit a family member there and I was not impressed. The complex was dirty, trash thrown about. And to top it off a neighbor of my family was having issues with people period. I was planning on renting but I’m into more of a respectable living place. Not drama. I suggest this company don’t play favorites and reorganize their staff and tenants.

I called this property Management Company to get information and spoke to Ms. Eva who was very rude and unprofessional. I asked to speak to someone higher and she refused to let me speak to anyone. I am shocked that this company hires very unprofessional people. I am a Property Manager myself and I would never treat anyone the way she treated me. How embarrassing!

I do not recommend it, they delivered the apartment to us in poor condition and now that we requested the deposit they say that we delivered it with paint details among other things that the apartment already had from the beginning.
