I am absolutely ECSTATIC about my short term rental with Smither Co. The space is so thoughtfully designed, every amenity that I might need is already thought of and available to me here. The location and value are absolutely off the charts. I highly recommend booking with Smither Co. to anyone coming to Huntsville!

John and his staff at Smither Company have been a pleasure to deal with. They are attentive to our needs and always have responded quickly whenever weve reached out to them for help. If I could give this company zero stars I would. Smither Company is the most dishonest company in town. From bug infestations, to air conditioning units that don’t work, to lack of smoke detectors, that’s just the beginning of the problems a tenant will face. Other problems include office staff who lie and talk bad about tenants behind their back. I watched as Rose and Linda mocked a former tenant of theirs as he was moving out while I was getting coffee one day. Atrocious and unprofessional behavior. If this sounds good to you, be my guest and rent from them but I can assure you, any other place in town is better.

Ink Slingers has been renting from Smither Co for 20 years. They are a great company to lease from. During the “scamdimic “ 😷, Smither really helped us stay open by being flexible with rent payments. Would highly recommend using Smither Co for your next rental.

Smither Company Realy Estate is a place to be , quick to your answer in times of of accommodation either buying or renting. My experience is amazing , I moved from Las Vegas and I make appointment I moved in my unit within 4 days no exaggeration something amazed me there “from GM to the WORKERS” are excellent all you need is tell them exactly what you need when you need it , my experience with them is above and beyond when talking about your budget bring it on to them they work with you, they are more than real estate agents talking about the way they pay attention to your needs and timing delivery they are dependable methods of payment standards out you can even drop off your rent on Sunday when nobody in the office make life easy waooo, I will not say much go find out yourself all you need is appointment that is it go find out.

John Smither and his team ( property manager Rose) are great. I rent from Smither Company and am happy with their service and efficiency. Plus the apartments are cool to live in--unique and historic. I have also experienced the bnb and its fabulous. Beautiful, eclectic, right in downtown Huntsville, and filled with unique art.

I wish to commend Rose Martin, property manager, for her excellent job helping me during the 7 months that I rented a unit in Einstein Hall. Like with any rental home, there were occasional problems, such as with pests or plumbing, but Rose was always very courteous and professional about dealing with them. She always treated me kindly and with respect, she worked with whatever professionals she needed to in order to get the issues resolved, and she kept me informed whenever there would be a delay or other factor affecting the issues.I am very glad to have met with Rose and to have known over this time. Furthermore, after I did my part of always paying my rent on time and cleaning thoroughly when I moved out on time, I received the entire amount of my deposit back! This is truly impressive to me, as I have rented several homes in my life, I always put great effort into cleaning and leaving them in the best repair I can, and this is the only time that I was actually rewarded by receiving my entire deposit back! To me, this indicates a great sense of integrity on the part of Smither Company, and I would heartily recommend them.

The office staff (Rose and Linda)make Smithers shine as great place to live, they are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. If it wasnt for them I would not be as happy living at a Smither property.

Crooked! Simple as that ! He purposely hides his sketchy maintence procedures and when the city finds out blames it on the tenant. He also raises the prices on people if he thinks he can scam them.
