Pearland Counseling Center

Update: My son has been going here for almost a year and loves his therapist Melanie. She has been supportive, warm, and understanding. I also see that things at the front desk have changed this past year and whoever is answering the phone now is so much nicer.Im putting two stars because while the counselors are great, the secretary is very rude. Ive spoken to her several times on the phone and every time I do shes incredibly condescending and rude. Ive never written a bad review before because I think everyone has bad days, but this has been ongoing for 6 months now. I hope they get someone else whos more courteous and kind because I think she alone will turn away prospective clients and business.

I usually dont leave a review but seeing so many negative ones, I feel inclined to say that is not my experience at all since there was a change of receptionists. Ive been coming here for years and the new ladies at the front desk have been nothing but helpful and friendly. Im glad they got rid of the other lady. Thats probably who these old reviews are about.

Lovely center, always peaceful walking in. Bennette Michelle Reescano is my therapist and she is the perfect fit for me. I wish I could see her everyday. ❤️

Bias therapist who only listen to my daughters mom side of the story, and kept allowing her to schedule appointments on days I was working but would never schedule anything on my available days. Also wrote a letter stating everything my daughters mom wanted her to say so she could use as leverage in court. Never returned my call about why she would write something like that without ever giving me chance to tell my story. I would not recommend this place to anyone

My son has suffered from depression, anxiety and has ADHD amongst other things. He is very emotional. I got him a docile basset hound to cuddle and lay with and hes grown attached to him. I got our dog certified for a ESA just dont have the letter which lots of people ask for in order to have him with us. We are moving to apartments that need that letter but Dr. Shawn D. Quintanilla wont write the letter now my son will lose his dog if I dont hurry to his previous doctor to get one. My landlord just told me he needs his house back by the end of the month which gives me a few days to find a place to live and the apartments were the only ones available in such short time. My son is very emotional and this is going to really effect him. Apparently after about 6 months of counseling with my son she still doesnt know him. He absolutely loves her dogs that sit on his lap when he visits her. Hes told her how much they help! Ill be taking him to his previous doctor to get the letter. She would rather him loose his dog then write the ESA letter... BECAUSE SHE DOES NOT KNOW MY SON and obviously doesnt listen to him. This counseling was a waste of time and money. I would not recommend Shawn D. Quintanilla. I only gave 1 star bc I couldnt leave a review otherwise.

Absolutely love going to this quiet office. I see Shawn Quintanilla. She is so easy to talk to.

Tuan was absolutely the best counselor I’ve received. He helped us with family counseling. I will recommend him to anybody who needs counseling. Very helpful and listens to your every need and develops a plan with you to conquer them.

I would definitely try out Pearland counseling center. As with any counseling... its a matter of finding the Right counselor fit for YOU.I have hesitated for Years. But came to a place where counseling is the only thing I had not tried. With All hesitation I finally came to Pearland counseling center and I am glad I Finally started the process. Its a challenging step to take but this far well worth it.

Both myself and my husband have had great success here between Sarah Lay and Heather Dunn we have progressed a lot. I highly recommend this facility to everyone who asks me for a referral !

Rudest secretary ive ever spoken too. Was so mean and condescending. STAY AWAY!
