Best mortgage experience ever! Russell Barnett worked tirelessly to get us to closing, and had to overcome some big obstacles to do it. He went way above and beyond when he got in his car, and drove an hour and a half with our closing papers on a Friday, so we could close that day. He was always straightforward and honest about everything we needed to do and what the process would be from start to finish. I cannot recommend him enough. He made the cumbersome mortgage process easy and almost painless, lol. Just loved working with him!

Russell over at Texan Mortgage is the most knowledgeable and professional Loan Officer I have ever worked with in regard to the mortgage process. I originally took my 1st loan out with one of the big box lenders and was relatively pleased with the process until Russell showed me how easy the mortgage process can actually be. He closed my loan in less than 3 weeks with little to no work on my part. I cant believe that Im saying this but Russell managed to make the stressful process of financing a new house purchase a pretty enjoyable experience.1. He is patient. Believe me, youll need somebody who patiently explains the process, and the details of your mortgage. This stuff can be stressful and you dont want to feel like your questions are annoying. You dont want to feel rushed when you make decisions that will have long lasting financial consequences. I appreciate his patience.2. He is responsive. When I emailed, I usually got a response within minutes. When I called, he always answered. When I texted, he texted back right away. The process of getting a mortgage can be stressful. Dont work with somebody who adds to this stress by making you wait for days with answers to your questions.3. He is knowledgeable. There is no question that this guy knows his stuff! He presented me with several options and made some important suggestions that helped me with closing costs.4. He has integrity. Its not just about getting you to close. He made suggestions about sources of my closing funds that had zero impact on my ability to close, but had long lasting financial repercussions (potential investment returns, credit score, etc.). I often felt that I worked with a financial advisor, and not just a mortgage broker.5. He is honest.Russell is a professional in every sense of the word. I highly recommend him.
