Air Specialist replace my upstairs and downstairs units AC and Furnace. Crew came out and did a quality job. They replaced both in a day. I did have an issue with my upstairs furnace where the burner would not ignite. Contacted Brady the job manager. He sent out James the next morning. It turned out to be a loose wire connection. James did a wonderful job diagnosing the problem and doing all the system QC checks. The crew, Brady, and James were fantastic. The only negative I can say is that the crew should have checked the status lights on the furnaces while testing them. In my case the status light of the upstairs furnace was blinking with an error code. Giving four stars because of this. Overall I would recommend this company to others.

Carlos was prompt and professional yet friendly and easy to talk to. Took time to explain what he had done, the condition of the system and recommended other services without doing a pressure sales. Very satisfied with service provided and Air Specialists.

I am not sure what has happened to AS. I have relied on them for years and had good service so I stuck with them even though they are a bit pricey. Over the last few years, I have had numerous problems with proper service, changes in service scope on agreed plans without notice (leading to home damage), and just generally poor communication and customer service when trying to get support with or resolve these issues. Seems to be a lot of new people…. This is not to mention the multi-visit fiasco I went through trying to get a vent fan installed about a year ago…. After 20+ years of loyalty, I will be looking elsewhere for future home service needs.

I had my outside unit replaced and they did a great job. It took them just a couple hours and back with cold air. The installation went great, the best service I have experienced in the past 10 years!

Antonio Lopez did a great job which is why we request him each time. He is thoughtful and thorough. I think he would be good at just about anything because doing a great job matters to him.

Contacted air specialist to come out and check my ac that stopped working! They were super fast and quick to diagnose! Kevin was very thorough and has wonderful customer service skills. He was very transparent about cost, took pictures and explain in detail what was going on. Definitely recommend them! They are quick, easy to work with and very reasonable in price!

Lester came out and checked all the gas lines in and outside the house very thoroughly. He was very nice and helped me understand certain aspects about the natural gas that runs through our house. I would 100% call Lester if I had any questions or concerns about our pipes or any leaks if we were to have any in the future.

The visit was great. Called at 7:30 am and they were able to show up by 10. He did a great job finding the problem (and it was complicated), showing me the problem and then the solution. I’ve been using these guys for a while and wouldn’t think of using anyone else. The service guy was just fabulous. This is the best AC company out there

First time I used air specialist for our heater that stopped working during the January 2025 freeze. They gave me a timeSlot of 9 to 1:00 and they kept me in touch with the service tech. They were on time and very efficient. Reasonably priced. Thank u for scheduling us the same day we called. 🩷

We requested plumbing service. We had a clogged kitchen sink. The tech specialist came on time and was polite, courteous, experienced and knowledgeable. He explained the process and was ver efficient and quick. Very pleased with his work.However not happy about shelling out more tha $300 for the five minute job. Not technician’s fault but The company’s cost structure seems very pricey for this service.

Great follow up with quality control to make sure everything is working properly. He made a few adjustments to fine tune. Glad I went with a professional company instead of just the lowest price.

They installed my HVAC unit several years ago. They did an excellent job.I have a maintenance agreement with them and they are awesome on calling to remind me that its time for a check up.The techs that come out to service the unit are very knowledgeable and courteous. Great company and would recommend them.

We scheduled a whole home system replacement but the furnace went out two days before. I called and they were able to schedule us the same day for the replacement. Awesome job. Fast service !!

Jorge is nice, professional, and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem with our heating system quickly, had to order the part, picked it up, put the new part in all in the same afternoon. He commented with the freeze coming next week he wanted to make sure our heater works. Thank you Jorge!

Summary of my issues with this company: improperly sized units for the home, errors during installation, not placing filters and getting ducts and coils full of construction dust, not sealing units properly causing mold growth, lack of communication and refusal to take responsibility.This company installed two AC units in my brand new home. First, the two units condensers and coils were mismatched in size. Air Specialists had to come back and reinstall the units and connect them properly. Second, my ducts and coils were filled with construction dust. Air Specialist did not place filters in the return vents and claimed it was up to the builder. Both builder and Air Specialists at fault here. Air Specialists offered to perform duct cleaning. They did not provide instructions or protect my home from dust being spread everywhere. I have severe allergies and after their visit my closets were covered in dust. I had to take everything down and wash it. Additionally, after living in the home for a while I realized that my upstairs humidity never went below 60% and my front two rooms of the house (rooms furthest away from the units) always remained hot. One of my front rooms is the master bedroom. In the summer it became so hot I had to move into the back guest room to get any air. I was told it’s my thermostats, so I had them replaced with Savant smart thermostats and later with Carrier brand. Still problem persists. Meanwhile my allergy symptoms were getting worse and worse, and my young daughter also started experiencing severe allergies and even had to get an inhaler. We finally called another AC company to evaluate. When they opened up our AC units they found mold inside the plenums, they said that the seal was not done properly and we had moisture accumulation and mold growth as a result. Additionally, they reviewed our system and stated that our units are too small for the size of our home. We have 5200 sq ft and 12 foot ceilings with large windows throughout. Our units are 4 ton and 3.5 ton. We have since had evaluations from 3 different companies and unanimously they recommended 5 ton units for each floor. We questioned our builder about the units and he immediately stated that it was Air Specialists that calculated the size and it was their job to install proper units. Air Specialists came out a month ago to take a look at the mold and units. The technician said that he does not see any mold and that the cooling problem again is because I set the thermostat incorrectly. I have called and called to follow up with them… and Air Specialists are refusing to return my calls.I am surprised by the number of positive reviews for this company, they are likely incentivizing for those, I have seen nothing but INCOMPETENCE, LIES, DISCOURTESY.And here we are, in our two year old home, with mold inside my units, high humidity, poor cooling and construction dust blowing from the vents, being miserable for the last two years. I just really want a home that does not make me and my family sick and one I can be comfortable in. Attached are photos of mold Air Specialist technician did not see…. Maybe this post will get their attention to finally return my call.!

For the first time using Air Specialist, I am extremely satisfied with the service. Mr. Alvarez provided an exceptional job and thoroughly explained his actions. His approach made me feel as though we were close family.

Steve has come out a couple of times and is always friendly, easy to talk to and very professional and thorough. He solved a problem we were having with the drip pan overfilling and causing water damage to the ceiling in our bedroom by installing a drain pipe directly from the unit to the outside of my house and we haven’t had a problem ever since. I have been using Air Specialist for quite a few years. They are reliable, they get the job done with the clients pocket book in mind. My heater went out the day before we were to have freezing temperatures and snow. They were there within 2 hours from when I called and got the job done.

Our Tech, Kevin A., did a great job with our Winter check up. Very polite, knowledgeable, positive, and easy to talk to. He presented his recommendations without pressure, or hard sell tactics. Very Good!

This was probably the best and most efficient tech that has been to our home. He was very informative and thorough and pointed out the things that may improve my A C efficiency. I am really impressed with him and hope that he would be sent to my house in future appointments

James was just here to perform a free QC check after my new HVAC installation. He arrived ahead of schedule and knew what he was doing. He found no issues and the system is working well since installation.

My 20 year old a/c unit decided to stop cooling late in the day yesterday so I called Air Specialist to setup a service call. To my surprise, they were available that evening. The technician arrived when promised, diagnosed the problem and discussed all possible issues with my aging system. I was pleased that he was a full time employee with the company and not a contract employee. He did a thorough inspection of the system. Thank you for keeping us cool!

He got to work quickly inspecting, cleaning, and verifying proper operation of our HVAC system for both cooling and heating operation. He reported results and his observations before leaving. Air Specialist has installed two AC systems in two different homes of ours. That is how much we trust them.My wife smelled what she thought was gas coming from the AC system. I called Air Specialist and they sent a technician (Jacob) right away. Jacob was very professional and courteous. They did not charge me a service call and they eased my wife’s concerns as I was leaving for a trip the next morning.Great service, great company!Update 04Dec2023After several months of trying to determine AC issue, discovered there was a leak in the evaporator coil.

The hvac business is headache to deal with, and air specialist is no exception. With that being said, they did a professional installation, and it was quick. I dont expect to have any problems when the summer rolls around, but, if I do, I will update the review. They were the best price after speaking with multiple companies, after already having subpar experiences with a replacement last year. I would use them again, even though I hope I dont have to.

Justin was ok and seemed knowledgeable but kind of a salesman who keeps pushing to sell you things.The real issue I have with air cheapilist is this idiot money-grabbing policy of cancelling appts if we don’t answer your totally random texts to confirm the appt. That is unsatisfactory and disrespectful to your customers who have made an appt. We had to reschedule our air appt last week cause YOU overbooked. We rescheduled because you requested and then you turn around and try to cancel our new appt because we don’t answer some silly random text in 10 minutes. This is horrible, horrible service and a clear indication one of the reasons wrong with this country now. All you people care about now is money. Actual good, loyal service is no where to be found.

Called Air Specialist to check our HVAC unit, the fan was running constantly. They came later that day and found the problem. Daniel was very thorough, gave us a summary of the problem in terms we could understand. He has outstanding customer service skills. We use Air Specialist for all our HVAC needs, highly recommend them.

James was very understanding about the situation that had occurred last week. He check out my unit and replaced my filters. He reassured me that the unit was correctly installed and all was good. For the previous 3 visits in a week, I would give a 1. A 5 for this one! 😊

We are very dissatisfied with the Air Specialist. We changed the entire HVAC system and purchased variable speed system. Firstly , installation crew member said they do not have the appropriate thermostat . Then they set up our system as basic one stage system as as temporary fix. Finally they came and install the thermostats . Our AC and Heating systems are not working . Our house never have issues with moisture and entire house has wet feeling with moisture on the floors. Last night , there was no heating on the first floor and heating is not working at all . Again , we were left with very cold night. The new systems were installed only 1 week ago and we are already having huge problems . We asked multiple times to the sales person Brady Kennedy that our house systems will be able to change to variable system.We had to call their office today ( 12/6/24 ) and found out that wiring was not properly done and furnace downstairs is not working at all . We are really tired of all these issues with Air Specialist people at this point. They apparently did very sloppy job with the both units and we do not recommend this company at all . We used to work with other companies with our old units never have this kind of issues . We truly feel like they are selling us Variable system units but they really do not know how to install them right to fully function .

The people at Air Specialist were great to work with. Brady provided our quote and a recommendation at a good fair price. He was very responsive to all my questions. The day of the installation went well. It was 105* outside and the crew worked hard. Alex was a great leader! We had an issue with our ductwork in our back bedroom restricting air flow and they fixed it. We also had a whistling noise in our front air register for years and they fixed it. They cleaned all of our ducts as well. We replaced our original AC unit (20 years old) with a new 2 stage Lennox unit. So far it’s working great and we are pleased. Thank you Air Specialist!

Carlos came out to do a heating tube up and inspection. He was courteous, clean and knowledgeable. Air Specislists has been my preferred vendor for A/C maintenance and repairs for over 10 years. Quick to respond to my necessities, they have always been there when others don’t even respond.Joe Sanchez was polite and very professional, knowing immediately what the problem with my unit was and presenting the available options.I am waiting to get some clarification on repair pricing, but I am sure they will be the chosen vendor to get the job done.UPDATE: I got the clarifications I needed to my satisfaction. The crew that came over to perform the job, Mr Santos and Mr. Javier were super efficient, professional and friendly. It is notable their willingness to keep a good demeanor while working in an attic at 130-150F…this is something to be praised…you guys are heroes..I am fully satisfied with the whole experience and recommend Air Specialists without hesitation.

Do Not Trust them. i had this company service my 3 A/C units for the last 4 years on a contract, the good thing i know little bit about A/C , and installed 3 Hard Start Kits on the 3 A/C units each for $21.50 from Amazon, 2 weeks ago 1 unit was not cooling so we called AIR SPECIALIST , they asked for $1400 but because we are on a contract its lowered to $1100, i was not at home and asked to have some photos for the hard kit and the capacitor, from the photo i noticed the the explosion of the hard kit,( meaning , taking off the connections of the hard kit , my A/C will work),WHICH HE DID NOT DO AND WE STAYED FOR 2 DAYS WITHOUT A/C.So we decline the repair, i came home AND UNPLUGED THE WIRES , AND ALL WORKING.Very disappointed , no respect to the customers because we are fools , and they can take advantage.

Tech was very professional and provided pictures that verified an additional service was as a result of the heating check-up. Pricing was very reasonable. I will use them in the future.

The Air Specialist did a great job for me from start to finish. Jose P showed up on time, evaluated my system and, solved the problems with my equipment offering solid solutions. After this first experience, I decided to sign up for their Essential ASAP Annual Service Agreement. I think they provide a great service for a fair price. They seem honest and straight forward. Alex did a great job and was very friendly. We had an issue with the air flow. He easily fixed the issue by adjusting the baffles on the plenum.

Chris didnt get it right the first time but made sure he got it right the second, he shared the information that caused the issue and answered all the questions I had.

Justin Delarue was very professional and knowledgeable about his job and the hot water heater problem.Justin was able to offer different solutions to fixing the water heater and offered cost estimates, to help me confirm to him what I wanted done. On any future plumbing problems I have, I would not hesitate to ask for Justin to help me.He is very pro customer and willing to help you.

We purchased our units for AS back in 2019 have remained a loyal customer for 5 years always purchasing the annual warranty & maintaining our units for the needed checks two times a years. This week we had the tech out for the fall check up he noticed we had recently installed a whole house generator but it did not have the Soft Starts needed he gave us a price of $1269 per unit. That would be $2538.00 per unit. He went on to say we needed the ICM-32 on our machine which is the very best. But he would give us a deal and throw in capacitors if we let him do the work right then. Feeling unsettled about the price I went in an googled the ICM-32 soft start the actual cost is $225.00 per. Seeing this I decided to call a local popular AC company in our subdivision most neighbors use Steadfast AC. I explained the events they were utterly shocked told us the total cost for labor and materials was $1300.00 for both to include new capacitors. Price gouging, this company cannot be trusted.

The crew was very efficient keeping the house clean and not letting my pets out. The installation was done and they made sure to answer all questions and made sure we had no concerns.

Super experience with Air Specialist AC company from beginning to completion!The initial consultation was informative, clear & concise, great planning tool for homeowners!Then installers were extraordinarilyconsiderate, very efficient, went above and beyond when installing my unit.Then a followup communication the next day to assure their high quality and customer experience.I appreciate that the company team works together so well and they actually live a corporate ethical code ( a rarity in todays companies).Additionaly, I highly recommend them for their dependability, honorable behavior, reasonable pricing, and their thinking outside the box.I have found, their entire team was a refreshing experience helping me work towards my best solutions.

Working with Air Specialists has been a complete disaster. They have arrived so late to 4 appointments, and 2 of them never even happened because we were no longer available. 1 plumbing appointment required our water in the complex to be turned off & I made it clear that they needed to be there in the 2 hour window. They of course called after the 2 hour window saying they were on the way which was no longer helpful since the water was back on. We have stayed home from work & cleared our schedules for these people to completely ignore the appointment times. They apparently cannot contact the technicians? So they never know an accurate time when someone will be there. Was told someone would be there at 9AM (after they arrived too late the day before) and I called at noon asking where they were. Jeremy didn’t know and said that the tech couldn’t be located. No one thought to call us about that? He ultimately showed up at 1:30. He was scheduled to do AC maintenance and he turned off the breaker and never turned it back on so our house got to 82 degrees. I called asking for someone to be sent and they again gave a 3 hour window on a Friday night. No apology for a single one of the inconveniences. I can’t believe the terrible customer service I’ve received this week from these people. The actual techs have been very nice but the business is run terribly. The people at the phones are not helpful and don’t seem to understand how frustrating this is.

Today Alex replaced my VERY old thermostat with a new Honeywell. The installation went smoothly, then Alex explained how everything worked. He was very helpful in answering my questions. I was again pleased with Air Specialists services!

I have been using them for a while now on both my houses and can’t say enough good things about them except that I love Air Specialists!

I had two technicians come out to diagnose my non-working AC yesterday, and both gave different diagnoses. One tech told me to replace the thermostat, so I went ahead, bought a new one, and installed it myself. The other tech said the issue was with the blower motor. I took time off work for this, only to end up with conflicting information.Today, I brought in two technicians from different companies, and both confirmed that the actual problem was the circuit board. Overall, it was a very frustrating and costly experience.

The service was great. Joe had us up and running quickly and communicated perfectly on what was wrong and what needed to be fixed.

My furnace burner did not fire, I was given about 5K estimated repairs, basically replacing the board, motor, and burner unit. and was offered to replace the entire unit for 4K plus as a better option.After asking for a second opinion, it appeared there was a water in one of the pipes that caused this issue, after draining the water from a pipe it ran like Forest Gump. And it cost me $89 to fix.

Not only were they responsive but the also did such a better job at explaining the issues with my unit than other providers were.

Was on time and easy to approach very knowledgeable about his skills he informed me about how my equipment should operate and he just told us straight up what was going on did beat around the bush about anything I would like for him to come back to my home for any further assistance or repairs

Lester was incredibly efficient. He arrived after work hours, quickly identified the problem, and returned the next morning with a helper. Together, they excavated the area, located the leaking pipe, and completed the repair in just two hours.

The first impression I got about this company is that they are very professional. The guy came out for gas line estimate but I also opted for the yearly maintenance membership with them for A/C and plumbing. I recommend them for any plumbing and A/C work.

Customer service was good, BUT, $493 to snake our pipes was waaay higher than expected. Thats too much for my budget.

I signed up for the preferred maintenance package and two technicians came were able to come out the next day. Abel checked out my AC system and then informed me of what my system needed to extend the life of my condenser. I did not feel pressured to replace my aging units and he gave me information that I needed to formulate a plan for future maintenance upgrades. I I asked Abel for an estimate for an upgrade that I was interested in and he promptly sent it to my email. Now I can comfortably plan for this upgrade and not get the unpleasant emergency financial burden that comes with a catastrophic equipment failure.

Abel Angora did a very thorough job of the fall maintenance of our furnace including taking pictures of the duct work and areas of concern. Highly recommend Air Specialists

Fixed a small problem with an improper install from another company I used. Kevin was great.He didn’t try and upsell me on stuff I didn’t need and he educated me on the system and how things work & why they can break. We will be using them from now on. Also they came same day!

I called and scheduled the service and they came a few days later with the materials assembled and ready to install.Everything was structured exactly how I requested it to feed cold air to a couple media servers.Two workers came in and were respectful and clean. A short bit later david also showed up to make sure everything was exactly how I wanted it.Final invoice was $5 less than the estimate.Would definitely recommend.

The HVAC Technicin, Josue V., was punctual, courteous and knowledgeable on my blower problem. He listened to the symptoms and diagnosed a solution quickly.

I have used this company for years. They have a program for around $175/year where you get two AC/heating system tune-ups (spring and fall or summer and winter) and if service is needed, a service call costs around $50, compared to the high prices others charge. When parts of your system need to be replaced they offer competitive or better pricing and they guarantee their work and systems they install. If they need to come out multiple times to handle an issue they dont charge a fee each time. Their answering service is wonderful and they are always calling to check in and get/give updates.I will continue to use this company!Check them out.

The prices are way too high here. You are better off finding a small company to work on your system. I was just looking for them to tune up my system. Maybe clean the coils, clear the drain pipes, check feron levels, etc. and that was not included in the 69.00 tune up fee. They actually wanted over 7k to fix things that were not broken. 300 to change a 20 dollar capacitor, 250 to clean coils... What a joke.

Air Specialists tech. did a great job, Abel look at and serviced the problem and gave me my options. I plan to use Air Specialists in the future for any other A/C or Heater repairs. I met with Brent who gave 2 estimates, one to replace the inside down unit and the second to replace the whole system inside and out (we selected the second estimates) Alex Diaz and his crew, wow! Our service technician was friendly and knowledgeable and completed his work fairly quickly. He (C Klotz) was respectful of the property. Air Specialists has always been responsive. On another occasion came AS came within 24 hours to repair the AC (the capacitor failed) others we called were not able to give an appointment for at least 7 - 10 days.

So far so good. After 3 quotes on a new HVAC to replace our 17 year old unit we chose them. They replaced our HVAC unit this past week (Feb 2017). Ill add info on electric bills after I get some -- here is a before and after pic of the AC unit and some pros and cons.Pros: the price was competitve to the Costco endorsed installers in Rosenburg. Their location -- use satellite on Google maps -- shows this is a serious company in the business of installing and servicing ACs. They act like a professional company that has been around for awhile. I liked that. I also liked their Pearland location closer to our house than Rosenburg.The actual install of a Trane XR14 went very smooth. It only took about 1/2 the day w/a three man crew. We ended up with a nice new touchscreen thermostat and everything worked well after install. They also took the old HVAC and didnt leave a mess.The benefits of a new unit: it looks nicer, is a fraction of the noise level when the AC kicked on (we had highs in the 80s the past couple of days), the drip pan has an auto shut off if the outflows clog, it should use less electricity, and as mentioned above a touchscreen thermostat that worked much better than one I had previously installed. Overall it is a nice piece of mind to know there is a 10 year warranty plus Air Specialist gives you 1 year free preventative maintenance.Cons: the bill for a new install is not cheap.But when you get great service from their technician to salesperson thru to their installation team -- and I was extremely impressed with the skill of the installers -- it actually takes most of the sticker shock out of the equation. I strongly recommend them.

Had issue with unit we were all woke by smoke detectors . Found it was caused by ac unit .Called and was happy to hear they were on there way. They reassured us that unit was in good working order and are going to clean fan motor to keep particles from coming loose and burning. They were very helpful and worked in a very professional manner . Much appreciated

The repair was done very professionalyHOWEVER, when cc payment was given tthe lady said it was declined.. so i gave a new personal cc which went through. i then called the first cc company and they said the number that was given to them by your person was incorrect, how dissapointing!

Bait and Switch! I found this company from their radio ads recently for $49 AC Tune-up service. Ratings here looked good so gave a shot. When scheduling, I spoke to Dave and made sure I went over the tune-up service details that they lay out on their website, line-by-line (which states it includes cleaning coil and compressor, etc). He stated thats exactly what they do and made appointment for later in the day.They gave a 4 hour window and not only was the Tech (Alexis) late but no call indicating as such. I had to call them to find out and they told me he was 20mins away. He was still late but no worries and I begin to tell him about my system. He tells me the AC tune-up is just a visual inspection and nothing more and that I would need the Maintenance Plan to get any additional services. I sent him away and will never do business with this company - complete joke, beware!
