Fordham at Silverlake

I have been a resident here for three years in one the cottages. The complex was new and very eye catching. I rarely went into the main building except to get my mail until a few months ago when suddenly the ownership changed.The new management has changed so many things I go into our building much more and join other neighbors to enjoy each others company and enjoy fun and informational activities. We finally have our own Activity Director. Thank you Catherine for filling our monthly calendar with activities we can all have the opportunity to participate in. These changes along with construction changes have opened a way for us to have access to our wonderful new management team when we need them. I look forward to this place being my forever home.And thanks for keeping our maintenance technician, Marco. He has always been such a big help to all of us. Pat Hebert

Since the new owners/management team has taken over in late 2024, things have really improved. We now have activities for our seniors. When there is an issue, the management/maintenance teams continue to take the necessary steps to ensure they are handled effectively & timely. A special kudos to Ms. Catherine our Activities Director for her efforts to plan/keep our seniors engaged.

Our Martin Luther King celebration was very informative and I was able to find out about my fellow residents stories from that era. Thank you Catherine/Activities Director and look forward to many more.

I absolutely love my place. Saja is one in a million, she truly cares about all the Residents. She is very courteous, caring and Knowledgeable. This is an Amazing Home away from Home. I would highly recommend The Fordham @ Silverlake Community to anyone 55 and over.

My mother moved here 2 years ago from Georgia. It’s the perfect place and she made lots of friends. Lots of social activities. The place itself is beautiful, clean, and new! It has so much to offer including a clubhouse, pool, theater room, beauty spa, gym, business center, and many more. Saja is wonderful to work with as well as all the staff. Highly recommend this place. If and when I decide to move out of my house, I will move here. I give it 5 stars!!

My mom lived here for almost two years and had to leave as she could no longer live independently. She loved living there the whole time. The amenities are amazing and the apartment is spacious. Not a single complaint!! There were plenty of activities. Saja and her team were very friendly and professional. They were great to work with when I first helped her move in and just as great when she had to leave. Saja expressed sadness at seeing her having to move out. Not fake condolences, but real genuine emotion and she still checks on her to this day! They made the check out process so easy. I would definitely recommend this place for anyones loved ones.

Greetings, I have lived at the Fordham since March(2023). I was assisted by the manager Saja Jassim from the beginning of my application process. And I moved from another state and it was many, many phone calls back and forth but she was absolutely AMAZING!!! She handled every question and helped the ENTIRE process go smoothly! Her professionalism and her caring personality, completely put me at ease, and I had not even met her in person yet! Honestly, I did not want to live in an apartment. Now that I have been living here and requiring her assistance or even just a friendly chat, her genuine kindness, is one of the reasons I feel safe, respected and cared for as a tenant. And I LOVE living here)! It is RARE to find genuinely kind people these days, THANK YOU Saja!

Saja was supper awesome and helpful from getting the apartment to the application process and move in day! I have never had such great service and felt like I am cared about. She really outdid herself helping me out and I appreciate her! 😊 I am so excited to be here at the Fordham.

I’ve lived here for one year and can write a review with confidence. I moved from California, site unseen, communication was entirely done via internet. When I arrived, office staff greeted me and I must say, apartment is absolutely beautiful. Saja and her staff continue to intrigue me with their professionalism and attention to detail in every phase of this community. I’m glad I made the decision to move here.

We recently moved our dad to the Fordham at Silverlake. We met Saja when we first visited. She showed us around the property. It was a very thorough tour and she answered all of our questions. She took her time with us and never made my dad feel rushed. It took dad less than a day to decide that’s where he wanted to move. Saja and Iraida have all been incredibly helpful and kind. Any questions or needs he has had have been addressed quickly and resolved. The location is central to lots of things. The property offers so many amenities as well as activities we know he will enjoy.

I want to say that my initial experience thus far has been great. The tour was amazing and the property is very nice and clean. My hope is to be able to move in soon. I will be updating this review in July.

11/18/23 Just came in to look at floor plans. Instead of taking care of me 1st, leasing agent, who was Hispanic, made me wait because the Hispanic customer who came in about 5 minutes after me, said she only needed to ask one question. She asked 2 questions then the agent took her into her office and started a conversation and started pulling out information to give her. Definitely didn’t feel right and wasn’t fair. I just left. By the way, I’m African American.

The new management is coming in with new positive changes.prayerfully they continue and keep the rent at affordable rates

This is a beautiful senior community with pleasant staff & residents. This property is absolutely beautiful. They are a little pricey, but the property is less than a year old. The townhouses are a must see! Cheryl & Saja are the absolute best.

Management is nice until you have a maintenance problem. I had a plumbing problem from the time I moved in. There is no air vent in bedroom. These apartments are

Beautiful community and a great staff!

I was at the facility making my Amazon deliveries and the customer asked to leave the package at the office and the woman who was there at the reception did not want to accept the package and with very bad treatment, I dont know what the facilities are like but with regard to the attention to the staff that assists there, the lady is very bad and very unpleasant 👎🏻
