Remington Apartments-Pearland

This review is courtesy of my rent being renewed and dern near $100 more a month plus a $65 water/ sewer charge. This complex is more than the surrounding complexes for no reason. The balcony and doors look like they are from some low budget complex, chipping paint that they just paint another layer over. The parking lot is small and a lot of genius residents fly around already tight spaces so that they can hit someone’s car I guess. Not to mention the obnoxious residents who take up a good spot near a walkway and never move their cars, like ever. The inside of the apartment has crown molding, upgraded blinds, and fans. That’s the extent of it. I had to have- tub resurfaced six months after moving in because the cheap crap they used was peeling off. Same for the one in the bedroom but since I don’t want random vendors and chemicals in my bedroom I have had to deal with the most ghetto looking tub I’ve ever had (photos coming soon). The A/C does not adequately cool in the summer so you will never be able to sit in your living room without six fans and still get a head ache from the heat. The bedroom stays cool so that’s a plus if you o like want to use one half of your apartment during the day. I had an ant infestation so bad that they were crawling up the walls in hoards. Complete charging up the yahoo just because they can over here. And don’t think they are pricing out Jim Bob and Dequan over here either because they aren’t. I’ve heard some folks have trailer park fights that rival the best of them. Oh and let’s not forget the back of the shopping center where there is a nice view of trash and crap the Goodwill is desposing of. The goodwill has some incinerator back there that runs all freaking night plus the huge delivery trucks in and out. It’s like living at a truck stop. The plumbing / water is always out a few hours every other month as well… this is not the complexes fault, but just an fyi that you pay a lot to not have running water, due to some years long plumbing issue that never seems to be resolved

I am very happy to live in this property. I went to meet the new Manager and she is excellent at her job, she helped me manage the new app to pay my rent and to be able to make work orders. The maintenance Staff resolved all the work orders that I registered in the app and was very helpful and professional.

I want to give 5 stars to the new Property Management, especially to their Manager Daivys!! She is super kind, professional, clarified all my questions, helped me manage the Maintenance requirements I had in my Apartment. Then the Maintenance guy Richard solved all my maintenance problems in a great response time. I can definitely say that this Management is the best we have had!!! 5 stars to them again, They are excellent.

I would strongly advise not to rent here or any other Ashford properties. This community was recently bought out by Ashford and the extra fees started. The office will not take checks at all and they require everyone to pay online. This wouldnt be an issue at all except that every payment option requires you to pay a convenience fee. I really dont see how its convenient for me as a renter to pay a fee just to pay rent. If Ashford properties doesnt want to take checks it seems like its more convenient for them if we pay online so they should pay that fee not us. Just want to advise others before they rent here.I also want to add that the online portal that they have to pay your rent through your bank account lists that they will collect the balances, deposits, and transactions from your account. Why would they need to know that?? This is a major privacy issue !!

If you have questions about the negative remarks, look at the Ashford Strawbridge and other Ashford properties. This will give you the insight you need.Unfortunately, Ashford took over recently and has spiraled downhill in the 60 days.*************Beware! The Ashford Remmington was taken over on November 13th, 2024. Any reviews posted before this date were from when BMI Management owned The Remington.This has been typed on behalf of a resident who has no computer.Ashford Property Management recently bought The Remington Apartments on Barry Rose in Pearland around November. Residents were concerned about Ashfords reputation for not keeping their properties maintained. At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, residents voiced their concerns to the Owners. We are a small-knit community, all the neighbors know and watch out for each other, everywhere. Some residents have been here for 24 years when Bandfield Properties owned this property. Well maintained, work orders were done in a timely manner, a quiet, safe great place to live. Unfortunately, our concerns were justified i.e.Corporate: Paying Rent: No checks or money orders accepted. You have to pay online and you are charged a $2.95 convenience fee. (35.40) per year.Residents were not notified the water would be shut off due to repairing a leak in one of the buildings and then denied knowing anything about it (Who authorized the plumber to fix it)? Manager?Trash: is left all day before it is picked up around 5 p.m., and then the trash bin is overflowing.Notices: There are a lot of baby boomers here that do not have a computer. The best way to keep them posted would be to utilize the bulletin board in the mailroom. There has been only one post (Christmas party night before). Otherwise, It is put on the office door, which some residents may visit once a month.Water charges: one-person $58.00-$65.00 two bedroom 100.00.No holiday schedule for the office provided.Its evident the residents are not Davies, the new managers priority. She is confrontational and does not take any initiative to resolve issues as well as take responsibility for her actions.Unfortunately, she has not demonstrated the skills to manage a property of this caliber.However, the residents gravitate toward Crystal, the assistant manager due to her customer service skills and her willingness to assist you.This is very upsetting to the residents considering having to move (no one wants to move) and leave their neighbors.If things do not improve there will be a mass move-out!

It has its ups and downs, but for me, the ups have outweighed the downs.Pros:-Beautiful unit. Lots of windows, nice flooring and walls and appliances-Well-kept grounds. They work hard to keep up flowers and even lights around the holidays to make it nice around here.-Friendly staff. Sometimes I have to report a problem a few times before it gets addressed, but the staff is always nice-Community oriented. How many apartments have such a cute newsletter or community events? I love it.-Relatively quiet. Its not perfect, but its usually quiet and peaceful, I can sit on my porch and feel safe and chill.Cons-Ants. I mean, ants are everywhere in Pearland, and they will spray and give out ant bait if you mention it to them, but Ive still had issues from time to time despite keeping up a clean apartment. I think they ought to spray for pests more regularly. I saw other reviews mention roaches- I dont see any in my unit, but in general, yeah, pest prevention could be better.-Water shut offs. They are inevitable to fix the plumbing, just they seem to happen more than in other apartments Ive been in. Sometimes theyre not the most clear in communicating when theyll happen or for how long.-PAINT! I appreciate a newly painted unit to move into, but why did they paint *everything*? There were paint flecks on the floor when we moved in (they do not come up with mopping or scrubbing), they painted the blind pulls together, they painted the *hinges*??? Lots of random paint flakes falling off of things the first several months from things that you really shouldnt paint. The tub paint is terrible, Im really nice with my stuff, but flecks of paint still came off my tub, and they have yet to come refinish it :/In my opinion overall, its a great place with stuff to improve on, like a lot of places. Unlike a lot of places, even if they cant fix everything at once, they genuinely seem to care, which counts for so much. On a day to day basis, I feel happy, safe, and comfortable here. I hope they keep maintaining and improving these beautiful apartments!

A small, quiet community. The current maintenance team is really good, the managers are nice, the amenities are quaint, and the property is well taken care of.

The property is beautiful. However, the office staff are absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. Brenda the assistant manager tells residence other residence personal business. The attitude you get when you first visit is unfriendly. I live there for two years and after always paying my rent on time and moved out, they called and said I owe for carpet damage. Instead of providing an invoice after they sent me a letter for review to my new address, they never sent invoice and then hit my credit and only my credit when I rented with another leasing occupant. The prices are great but prices only go so far. The unprofessional and ignorance from the office staff is definitely being reported. They knew my partner at the time was staying there even with a non aggressive charge but turned his life around and had no problem. After two years there they kicked us out because of it. Brenda even asked me to order her a robe that I bought.But they had no problem with someone who was stalking a neighbor and her baby to live there next to me after he attempted to bust in her door. Drug deals were doing down in the parking lot and with several notifications, their response If you don’t record it, it never happened with no action. You could smell weed throughout the apartment and Brenda’s response was weed is ok.

Roach infested, they do not spray but charge you for it. My friend has tried to get them to spray her home for months. Its disgusting. She have roaches in all of her kitchen appliances (including the fridge) kids toys, on the doors. They are running rampant. AVOID THIS APT

This place is truly a hidden treasure, between the amazing staff to the fast workers you could not ask for a better apartment. I stayed for a year here unfortunately having to move for work. The people in this complex are friendly and they watch out for one another which is extremely important. If you are lucky you will run into an old friend of mine Dean and his puppy sitting there watching the front gate. Great Staff Great People I would move back here in a heartbeat.

Great place to live! The property is managed very well, tenants are friendly, staff is helpful, quick, and curteous. The location is also fantastic, everything needed is within 5 minutes.The rent seems a little high to me; but it seems like the property makes good use of it with quick response to work orders, keeping the property beautified, and so on.The water heaters are on the smaller side. Theyre fine for one or two people, but a third starts to push the heaters to their limit.Each unit has a reserved parking space. But sometimes the non-reserved parking gets a little sparse - but mostly around big holidays.TLDR; Great staff, well managed, incredible location, rent is slightly above normal, small water heaters, iffy parking on holidays.

Been here for 2 months. The Manager is so nice and her assistant manager Brenda is the reason I moved in. Aside from the beautiful pool and clean and quiet atmosphere with great landscaping, Brenda is so helpful and informative. They have complimentary trash pick up and great rates. Also they will accept a 6 month lease when it goes to month to month they dont change the rate. Great place I really enjoy it.

My wife and I have lived here for two years now, this is my third and final apartment. I will not move out of here until we get our house. Everything about this place is great and peaceful. They have recently done many renovations that have made it even better, such as all new kitchen amongst other things. If you can find an opening take it!PS. Those bad reviews dont make any sense from what I have seen. I am sure those are from their competitors.

Noise all night long. Calling the office doesn’t help. These people don’t care after they take your money. Alarms going off in next door apartment...could be on fire as well as anyone knows, no sprinkler systems. Constant beeping noises all night.

I lived at the Remington Apts for over 2 yrs. I enjoy living here. Its quite and peaceful. Its close to shopping and an elemantry school.

Great location with a beautiful lawn and facade. Staff was incredibly helpful. I had to apply online from on the road and Lois helped me through the whole process very helpful.

Great place to live peaceful and quiet! Great parking as well never crowded ! Visitors always have space to park . I would recommend you to live here!

My family has had nothing but amazing service since they moved in and the manager Maggie is the sweetest and goes out of her way for the residents! Thank you again!!!!!
