Following a series of bad luck, I was fortunate to be connected to Texas United Mechanical, LLC--geothermal. Frank, who answers their phone, had actually worked with the now defunct company that had installed my geothermal system 20yrs ago and remembered the location of my home. He got his expert pipe/pump person JASON, on the job quickly. The problem stemmed from my pool demo and filling in January which inadvertantly broke geothermal lines at the periphery of the pool. What followed was MONTHS of deteriorating AC function that was initially misdiagnosed. Jason identified the issue, and with more heavy excavating equipment required, 8 broken lines were found and repaired. Throughout the process, I was dubious that a repair was forthcoming and had increasing anxiety with the warmer weather coming and potential $$$$ for alternate fixes. As it was, there were already days of uncomfortable heat and humidity without AC. True to his word, Jason was able to get the system back up and running. To date, we have had nearly a week of functioning AC! --A million THANKS go out to the team for improving our quality of life in Houston.
We have had a Water Furnace Geothermal system for about twenty years. It was installed by Tony Johnsons dad. The system includes two units for the house and a pool heater. Tony has serviced the system the entire time. He is very knowledgeable and conscientious and practices great customer service. He is one of the original employees of the new TUM Service organization in Austin. He has done two things for us since joining TUM. He installed an Aprilaire system in our attic in conjunction with us having the attic spray foamed. He replaced the original pool heater. In both instances, a quote was provided promptly and once the parts came in, Tony installed them promptly. We will also have them do our Spring and Fall maintenance. Of course, a company is not just one person. I have been impressed with the way the Austin branch has handled service requests and provided quotes and invoices. If one of my friends in Austin was considering a Geothermal system, I would overwhelmingly encourage them to talk to TUM.
If you have a geothermal system, these are the guys to call. They are the most knowledgeable that I have found in the Houston area when it comes to Geothermal. I recently hired them to replace my entire system, and they made the entire process easy and painless. Their install was quick and clean... even better than I expected. They took care of all the little details like registering the warranty and making sure all the new duct work was well sealed. I will be using them to maintain my system going forward.
These guys are the best in the city. Our system needed serious work as we move into the summer months, and we found Texas United Mechanical to be the most knowledgeable, responsive, and trustworthy company to work with. Highly recommend for any geothermal work/maintenance.
Tim Luke from their new branch in Austin was here and helped with tuning our AC and heat pump units and educated me on the options to tackle the problems we had. Tim has decades of experience and his charge was quite reasonable.
Richard Luna came and did some work at my house.Great personality very knowledgeable very respectful
Been using them for years. In this HVAC critical climate I trust them with my system for diagnostics and maintenance.
Wonderful service! Always prompt and always updating you on service calls. Outstanding customer service!
I have been using these folks for a long time. I have found them to be fair, reliable and honest. Two weeks ago lightning struck near our house. The power went out and when it came back on the AC was not working. Contacted Frank, the service manager, and Cruz came out to repair. It was found the lightning strike had damaged the heater control board which controls the fan. Cruz was able to wire around it and get us up and going. Frank gave us a quote for a replacement board or a replacement heater. Since we are up and running with the AC I can take a little bit of time to decide. Since our heater is 20 years old the replacement probably makes the best sense.
They are always very responsive to calls and try to get someone to come out as quickly as possible. Very professional and knowledgeable.
Great
