I went to the Credit Union on Saturday. The girl was in the corner office was doing nothing for over 5 minutes then she walks outside and asks if we were going to see anyone. I said I wanted to add someone on my savings acct, she said they only do apts on Sat. There was only 2 people sitting down. You can tell they don’t want to work. And also you should post that Saturdays is only by appt online and all over the credit union then. Stop wasting peoples time. Adding someone shouldn’t take that long.

This bank is normally good but my biggest question is how is there not a ATM or a message saying the ATM machine is being serviced....I wasted time and fuel coming here on top of having to spend the 2 dollars fee using another ATM what a inconvenience

If youre a worker, a busy Pearson, do not get a CD through them, the only institution that would not work with me at all when I didnt get my maturity notice in the mail. It was pay the penalty because youre responsible for keeping up with the date, no exception. Never again.

Customer service here is horrendous. Manager included. Teller went to get cash without asking what I needed didn’t want to talk to me. Manager talked to me as if I was incompetent instead of just explaining they had a coin machine in the back from the beginning she could have spared me the attitude. Huge staff issue“We’re not just local we’re home”I think not.

You dont have an ATM. Your Employees are aware that you dont have one and that you have a sign that says you have one. Get some Duct Tape and put it over the words ATM on the sign. Apparently, no one has any authority to do anything.

Definitely not a great bank if you are looking for the usual benefits of signing up with a credit union. Their interest rates are high and they do not offer any real discounts for their clients. Ive applied for 2 loans with more than half of the money requested sitting in the bank. With a mediocre credit score, I came to them to help build my score with the first requested loan. They gave me a really low approval amount and never helped with boosting my credit. The loan did not help my credit score and as soon as I finished paying it (automatic payments each month), they immediately closed the account (which does not help your score). Ive received more help with Capital One in a much shorter time frame. The account I have here is strictly savings which means there are never overdraft fees and the money basically just sits in the account for investment opportunities. I wasted so much time with them. The staff is not well informed nor do they show a concern to help with anything. The worst customer service when considering they have your money. Wait time is unreasonable. I spoke with the branch manager before deciding to close my account. She was very dry and did not suggest anything to help with my concerns. Ive had such great service and benefits at my other banks. They make this place look ridiculous. Take your money to a place where they will appreciate you banking with them.

Avoid this bank at all costs. They do not know how to process an auto loan. I took a loan for a car in July and they have given me the run around for my title. I cannot legally drive my car since it cannot be registered and they did not realize they didn’t have the title until I called them. They ignore emails until you threaten legal action which I now have to pursue and the hide all phone numbers to get help. This bank needs to be investigated by the attorney general office which I am trying to make happen.

The older lady behind the front was rude and the ATM was down after I went through the entire process that required ATM use. No one seemed like they knew what was going on. They are inconsiderate and unorganized, the branch needs to go back to the drawing board !!!

We went to use our safe deposit box. We were told we could not access because they didnt have they key to the vault. What in the world? As fast as we could we closed this safe deposit box and went to another local bank.After going to a new bank, we were blown away with their customer service (HomeTown Bank), something that TDECU does not have. we wont be back...

I took my daughter to open her first account after school on 9-29/2021 at 4:35 pm. The teller informed me that they will not take anyone else because they have two associates that must go home at 5 pm. One just took a customer back (which I saw) and it was too late to be seen by another associate. The teller told me to make an appointment online on my phone. I asked her could she make an appointment and she told me it’s easy to do so on your phone. I told her I wanted to speak to the manager. He was there listening to the whole time and told me he can make us an appointment. I told him that this was unacceptable. I have been with the credit union for 20 years when they only had one branch in Lake Jackson and I get this poor service!?

Friendly and accommodating service! Walked in needing to open an account, the manager was very friendly and even being short staffed that day, they managed to squeeze us in for an appointment. The lady who helped us was friendly and professional. Very happy with my experience today!

Every time I come to this branch it’s always a pleasant welcome. Today I went in looking to refinance my vehicle and Kevin made the whole process super easy and without any problems. He guided me through every steps, explained everything very well and even took the time to look at my old contract to make sure he didn’t miss anything. I was able to get a deal done and he kindly offered me a promotion that they’re running on checking accounts. Again, he explained everything and made me really confident in doing what I was doing. I upgraded my checking account while I was still there. Not only is Kevin funny but very helpful and concerning of any problems. Thank you Kevin and TDECU for always making my visit a nice one.

Well its a nice bank. With a nice people. I know they are under staff but still, they do an excellent job.My only complaint is that theyre behind technology. Unlike what other big banks have. Hopefully theyll catch up soon. I think all Credit Unions are behind. But TDECU has big potential for big improvement.

I am beyond furious. I had made an appointment to get my last name changed and to add my husband onto my account. I show up a hour early just to see if they could see us sooner, they didnt have any open spots which was fine, we ask if they needed a copy of our social or any information and was told no.We wait in the parking lot for a hour and then go in just to be told that I need a copy of the marriage license when I have already changed my name on my drivers license and social. Absolutely ridiculous what a waste of time and money for gas! Had they told me what documents I would have needed I would not be as annoyed as I am.

This is a bit of a story, but here goes. Ive been a member of TDECU for approximately 1 year, 3k of my income every month goes directly to my savings account. I applied online for an auto loan, and called the next day go check on it. I was advised that my debt to income ratio was too high due to my rent track account showing on my credit report that my rent is 2k when its actually 400 or so. I was asked to provide proof that my rent is only 400...You are my BANK. You can look at my statements and immediately see that Im not paying 3k in rent. At first I went to go find my rent statements, but then I realized that my BANK should be easily able to see this information. I called back and asked why they couldnt just look at it in my account, and of course received the run around from them, like they can look at my bank account and verify my income but not my expenses? I was also advised that due to my credit score, they would only finance 90% of the loan, and the interest rate would be over 16.9 percent. I do not have subprime credit. Thats the rate I got on my first car as an 18 year old in 2013 right outside a military base. I advised the associate that that was ridiculous. I ended up IMMEDIATLY receiving financing from the dealership where I buy my vehicles (shout out Gay Family Kia,) with no issues, and at literally half the ridiculous interest rate provided by TDECU.

The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with a bank/credit union. I had someone cash $5,000 in fraud checks on my account and TDECU denied my claim. After I closed my account and moved the balance over to Velocity Credit union TDECU is still trying to get me to pay more them after I closed my account and zeroed my balance 4 years ago. I would not recommend if I had a gun to my head, take your business elsewhere.

Let me start out by saying that Im horrified by the customer service experience weve been recieving from TDECU. This is the second car we purchase through you. We wanted to be loyal customers but after this experience, I dont think well ever be customers again. I would rather give my business to another bank that is willing to communicate and help customers. Good luck getting a hold of anyone except the 1800 number.Yesterday, we purchased a car and went through TDECU to finance. The process was incredibly annoying because of the lack of communication and the amount of mistakes made. Fast forward to trying and register the car this morning at the DMV and being told we had to call the bank to send the title. We called TDECU to find out it was going to take 2-3 weeks!!!!! TWO TO THREE WEEKS of car payment and insurance being paid out of pocket for a car we cannot drive!! This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. The bank and DMV are 30 minutes away from each other. There is no excuse as to why the title was not there this morning!Edit: the car was purchased through a private seller. The plates need to come from the bank and DMV. There is no dealer involved. They never provided a copy of the application for the title.

Literally had to go to another Bank to pull out money and eat the fee. Get another ATM machine only one at this location and the only one was not working as usual. Drive through line was backed all the way up and lobby had line to the front door because there is one person helping people. Bank elsewhere. Edit i am now here months later and guess what atm is still down. How embarrising

When other banks and credit unions turn you away for ridiculous reasons, when they charge you left and right, stealing your money, TDECU is completely different. Despite my hardheadedness and poor money management skills, they have helped me and my grandmother tremendously over the last 4 to 5 years. Definitely recommend but watch out for maintenance issues. Having to update often it seems and my account was overdrawn because purchases I made were not shown on my account balance. I have been overdrawn a handful of times in my 37 years and this was the first time with them. Not very happy about it.

The other day, I went to make a withdrawal from my savings account. I filled out the withdrawal slip, waited, received my cash and drove away. After getting home and looking at the receipt, I notice that the teller took the money out of the incorrect account. Really. To me, that’s a detail that should not have been missed. 😡

Terrible experience. Either they are understaffed, or they just dont care if people wait. There were people waiting for assistance for an hour! I couldnt access my safety box because apparently nobody can let you on until its your turn in queue. Multi-task people. Let me in, and out. Go about your other customers and business. Greeter just stands there, doesnt help anyone. If you have people waiting utilize her to like other banks do!

They sub out credit cards for business. They recently switched companies they sell you to and now theres no way to access your account online. They will say all you have to do is register your card on their website now. Which is impossible because they operate with a Main and Sub card. You will never physically have the main card, only the sub, which means you do not have the card number necessary to register and view online. The sub company and TDECU pass you back and forth because neither have a solution.****New Review- Now they decided to change Savings account numbers. So my savings deposit is stuck in limbo somewhere. My employer in fact sent the money because TDECU received the Checking deposit just fine. But they have no idea where my savings deposit is and show no report of rejecting a payment. So unprofessional and ignorant to just change everyones account number on the fly. Ohhh but they sent out a letter 2 years ago or 5 years depending on who you talk to. Gonna switch to Texas Bay Area Credit Union as soon as they finish their Pearland location.

Rude employees you can tell they cant stand their job, Applied for bucees credit card one time to save some money on gas at bucees, even though the funds in my account on much greater than the the credit card I was looking for, The branch manager found out I was with other banks as well and denied my request thus hitting me with a negative inquiry on my credit score. Over packed, disgruntled employees with a high turnover rate. Not to mention their website crashes every two weeks. definitely the worst branch out of all of them

I lost my card an when I got someone to help me they couldnt even turn my card off to keep it from being used, I had to wait until the branch open on Saturday at 10am who ever find it could have taken all of my money out by the time they open, an also they havent a atm machine have to go to grocery store for funds and pay a fee

We were very disappointed when TDECU took over Whitney bank, we are very resistant to change, did not want any thing to do with TDECU - but we finally changed over to them. Have had nothing but EXCELLENT service from them - tellers and officers always polite and helpful. Had one small loan from them, no problem - and received good investment advice. 5 star rating from wife and I!

They were soooo professional during my ENTIRE visit. As soon as I entered I was immediately greeted and asked why I had came in. The employee who I was coming to see was still on a phone call so the greeter told me about the refreshments they had and she told me I would be attended to shortly, which I was about 2 minutes later. It really felt like they cared that visit was pleasantly. Great service!

Avoid them like the plague! Theyre a small town bank that grew up due to Dow Chemical. They love to put too much TDECU internal advertising into their web banking, so it keeps getting filled with frivolous information.Additionally, I pity the poor souls that have to use any of their cards while traveling. Whilst in NOLA I was locked out due to their poor security questions. Would be awesome if you could set these yourselves and make it a self-service portal, however that would require them to have a 21st century platform. The manager I escalated it to eventually said something along the lines of Ive been in the banking industry for 20 years and this is how its done.I will never recommend this bank to any living/non-living entity.

A very bad customer service went twice to cash a checks the first time the check was A little over 2k waited 10 to 15 mins for them to Verify the check then I go back a few days later to cash a different check an amount of 180$ they did the samething took forever to Verify it and charged me 10$ to cash it which is didnt do the first time , bottom line is if you dont have an account with them they will give you a bad customer service.
