I normally avoid going here and prefer doing most of my deposits online. Today was an exception as transaction was over $5k which needed onsite help. With 6 accts here I always make sure to specify which acct when endorsing checks to prevent errors. Middle age Indian woman assisted but deposited it to wrong acct, then began lecturing about how to endorse checks properly when I asked for funds to be corrected. Only when her strawberry blonde younger colleague had to stop her own teller duties to assist did my teller realize that my acct # was correctly noted all along. Then she put funds into yet another wrong acct. Colleague again had to stop her duties to assist with this funds reversal once again. 2 strikes!This location, while spacious and clean, has many flaws, among them: long wait from slow employees, high staff turnover, rude tellers and/or staff who need more training. Also you cant open new business lines here any more, which is the oddest thing; since when do banks turn down money?? Will stick to online banking unless I absolutely need to come here.
I have been coming here for a little over a year with my father, and now here I am as well. I have opened an account for my son and I. Most of my visits have been more than what I was expecting. I have been a member since 2009 and I have been fortunate to work some awesome loan officers. When my husband and I needed transportation, Miss Gloria Landa approved us for a loan with no-so-great credit. We never forgot her the kindness and willingness showntoward us. Lately, Mr. Daniel Gonzales has assisted me with various issues regarding my accounts. He has been kind and patient with me and I HIGHLY recommend any member to request him.
Slow service. Not knowledgeable about the process and had to speak to manager. Even after speaking to the manger she intentionally would not help me and walked over to chat with colleagues. Do not go to the branch. Chase offers much better support.
Closed early on Saturday and told us and another customer they weren’t gonna serve us….Been a customer for about 11 years now and I have had many good experiences!
My first and last visit EVER! They are on my credit Union share branch list from Louisiana. I have been told more than twice that Wellby is on the list. Walk in 9101 Broadway Wellby Financial branch and was told by some black girl we dont do share branches. Hmm, thats weird because SEVERAL employees from my credit have stated that Wellby is on LaCapitol Federal Credit Union share branch list. She wouldnt even bother double checking!

Wow!!!! I’m honestly shocked due the outstanding customer service I received from Natalie today! I’m used to paying visits to the other banks I bank with and I have never received the customer service I did today! My mom and I usually visit this branch often and always receive outstanding customer service from the entire team but I hadn’t met Natalie before, today she made gave me a couple of recommendations about my account to earn more interest on my savings account. I’d usually have to talk to my financial advisor for this advice but she gave it all to me for free, she’d even say she would donate her right kidney to me! WOW! Thank you Natalie and if you see this, I’ll hire an entire mariachi band for you! My mother also agrees with the customer service we received! I’ll be stopping by next week to open an account for my son!
So this is my 3rd experience at Wellby.First I tried to open an account to become a member, I did not have proper paperwork, which was totally my fault.Second time, I had a paper license, still was not able to become a member and open the account (I didnt know paper license was not good enough) I was a little frustrated at that point, but once again, still my fault.Third time I made sure I had everything I needed, (Keep in mind this was 1 time a week I was visiting, I work during the week)I was greeted quickly this time, by Mack, and was immediately taken into his office, and was told how the banking (membership) process is done. This hasnt been explained to me in the previous visits.I had a truly pleasant experience throughout the process, was told about investment accounts etc.During the process, another member had walked by, and Mack had greeted him and they immediately got to talking like they were best friends.Now this is what Im looking for. Knowing members by name and showing real relationships with members. I knew right away that Wellby was for me.I was then introduced to Valerie, to help talk to me about an IRA, and some options I have for retirement accounts, and she wrote down my information to reach out in the near future.Before I left, my direct deposit was set up with my bank, my transfer account was set up, and a calendar date with Valerie was already sent to my email.I was here for less than an hour and all this has already happened.I left with my new ATM Card, activated. APP on my phone done, been informed on so many things, all my questions answered.My own struggle with getting my account open was all worth it.I couldnt be happier with the experience I had at Wellby, I will definitely be telling my friends and family about this. I applied for a Wellby account online and it was such a long drawn out process. I decided to go to the Pearland branch on Broadway. Even though I arrived less than 10 minutes before closing time, Nancy Flores helped me and was very patient and friendly. We left after closing time and felt very badly for going over the time but she was very gracious. The process was super easy and much better than the online experience.

Definitely not the one to leave reviews but Horrible credit union!!!!. Especially this location, I’ve banked with Chase and had a much better experience. This has seriously been the most wildly unprofessional financial institution Ive ever had to deal with. Save yourself the time & headache they went downhill ever since the transformation from JSC.
As a previous reviewer said, the transition from JSC to Wellby has been awful. This branch, in particular, has its own issues. First off, the tellers are rude & don’t seem to want to help their customers. I walked to the lobby door today with change to deposit & the girl literally locked the door in my face. I went to the drive thru & asked if I could do my coins there & was rudely told no I had to come in the lobby. I said I tried & she closed the door in my face for being 30 seconds late. The teller’s response was “get here faster next time.” We will be changing banks very shortly. Do yourself a favor & stay far away.Edit to add - once I spoke with the branch manager Mohammed, he addressed my concerns. Thank you for stepping up & helping to make it right. Changing it to 2 stars solely for him.
Needed some technical help with using the Welby app services. Nancy Flores assisted me. She was welcoming and attentive. It took several attempts at logging in and out of app. I stated to Nancy, that I would figure it out another way, but she insisted and was determined to solve my dilemma. Shout out to the head Manager D. Your staff is incredible. Like having thee old New England Patriots. Or Houston Astros. Natalie, New hiring was sweet, awesome personality, as well as thank you Bob for helping. But nevertheless, the whole show was Mack the Lebron James Pollard of Banking. Dude is bad all bye himself. Shawn at the Pearland location closest to Silverlake was just an Angel! He helped me tremendously yesterday. A teller error at another location had me frantic. If you like to spend hours trying to get some help on the phone then this is the perfect credit union for you.Edit. They have reactive a feature to give you a call back when it is your turn to speak with an agent. With this the service has improved.
I was there 3/15 and Carlos Dela Garza assisted me with getting a personal loan to do hike repairs. He was like an Angel sent to help me. He was kind, patient, and knowledgeable about the process.
I was looking forward to the transition however, since the transition it has been impossible to speak to anyone regarding my accounts. It does not matter what day or time I call, I never get a person. If you are transitioning to a new system and a new everything, why not be prepared for the call volume. At least have that working. Why continue to do business with a bank that has poor customer service. Leaving a chat message with a 3-5 day response wait is unacceptable. At least make every branch have their own phone service versus routing all calls to one location.

Ive been banking at the JSC FCU since 1984 and always been happy with the service I received, however, now that Wellby took over the service is terrible and I will be moving my money elsewhere. I called earlier today to ask a simple question and have been on hold for two hours now, and still holding. Im curious how long it will be before they answer my call. This never happened prior to Wellby.I stood in the lobby waiting for 1/2 hour for a notary when there was only one person in front of me who was finished being helped 20 minutes before I was helped. I saw people give up waiting in line behind me. Again, I never had this type of experience prior to Wellby.My advice to anyone considering opening an account at Wellby - Dont!

I have been a member since soon after this branch opened. They are always so professional and because of them, I am a used car buying-expert! With 5 adults in the house, thats important! Now, they hold our mortgage and 1 car loan--almost paid off. I want them to have the other 2 car loans--working on it! Horrible banking service! Youre on hold forever on the phone and Im not even able to view my mortgage account on the app. Never had this problem when it was originally JSC credit union. Welby has ruined the previous banking experience we had. Just like other reviews Im moving my money else. Do not bank with them save yourself the hassle and headache!
The transition from JSC Federal credit Union to Welby has been horrific to say the least. I have heard and seen nothing but horror stories about account transition problems, payment issues, and basically any major transaction through Welby or through their app. We are currently fighting an issue where we accidentally paid a small amount less on our mortgage payment. After speaking to numerous people at the branch and online, they still cannot figure out how to apply a mortgage correction payment correctly. Gone is any customer service nor focus on the customer at all. I truly believe this was a sellout approach for JSC. If this mortgage issue is not taken care of, we will be refinancing our home elsewhere and will moving our savings to another bank. We will also not be recommending Wellby to anyone we know.
I truly believe I dodged a bullet. Did an online application for a checking account. They sent me a message stating they needed a copy of my ID, proof of address and something else and that I needed to come to the banks drive thru to complete my application. I informed them that everything that they were asking for was uploaded when I did the online process, they then stated that they did indeed have everything that they needed to move forward. Get a message today stating that due to me not responding to the message they sent, the application will be cancelled. I am 100 percent okay with not being approved because after reading some of these comments...NO THANK YOU!

If I could give zero stars I would! I am very upset that I ever did business with this company! They lie and do things so unprofessionally, I went in to fill out paperwork to surrender my vehicle and the people there looked all confused. Worse they told me a person would come Saturday to pick the car and then no Monday no wait Saturday. Which is it ? Then they draft a payment which leaves me negative and they say they will refund them wait two days later to say no we can’t?! I pray that people think twice before consider doing business with these morons! Ridiculous excuses and nothing but lies!

I have left several messages for Hannah Esmail the general manager at this branch, and no call back yet. The experience every time I have come here has been uneasy. If the manager behave in this manner a customer leaves a message a client leaves a message for a callback and he ignores it completely, then, of course, everyone in his team would be the same, rude and uncaring to their clients/customers. I will be closing my account this week after 10 years.

While I am a long-time account holder with the credit union, nearly 30 years as a member, they disappoint me. I was surprised by the credit union in a recent attempt to secure a line of credit when they declined to offer me any amount of credit. I told them I was attempting to establish a better banking relationship and wanted to take out the smallest line of credit possible. The loan officer was professional but we were declined, saying we were overleveraged. Needless to say, considering my long relationship with the bank I was surprised they would not give me anything at all. I can secure a large line of credit at a retailer, but my credit union gives me nothing. I am glad I do not bank with them primarily. The loan I was seeking was much like a payday loan. I closed my account.
Walked up to your drive up atm and pulled put money. (My ambulance wouldnt fit.) Walked in and asked to get a roll of quarters. Girl behind the desk asks do you have an account with us? No. )Im from out of state, here to transport a patient.) Im told that you have to do it through an account... wish Id known that before I paid $3 to pull money out of your ATM.Maybe if you actually provided service, your lobby wouldnt be empty except for the security guard too busy playing games in his cell phone.UPDATE: Drove 5 minutes to Capital One 5 minutes down the street. Didnt even know they had physical locations as we dont have them in FL where I live. Walked in. Got my quarters. They didnt even ask of I had an account. But I actually do ALL my banking with them. Enjoy the $3 you got in the atm fee. Put it to good use and start a customer service training program for your employees or get a guard that pays attention to more than tik-tok.
Since becoming Wellby, the level of service initially deteriorated significantly. However, over the recent months they have returned to the level of service that I came to appreciate and value from JSCFCU. They recently opened an office inside one of the HEB stores in Sugar Land (which I’ve yet to visit, but will do in a matter of days). Thank You Wellby “powered by JSC.”

Ever since wellby took over Ive had a hard time talking to anyone! Ive called on 3 different times of day and have been in hold longer than 15 minutes each time and eventually hang up.
Avoid drive-thru, long wait. Had two transactions with two withdrawal slips from different accounts. I got one withdrawal back 20-25 minutes later after explaining the other withdrawal slip for different account got that money as well. SMH. Not the 1st time.

HORRIBLE!!! None of their workers have any knowledge of what to do. They double charged my account then refunded it to the WRONG account. So I have to go out of my way to get it fixed because they are CLUELESS.Run far away from this bank. JSC messed up by merging with Welby.

Never bank here because they are lazy and never pick up their phone. I went to their branch and asked why they never pick up their phone and the woman behind the counter said that they get swamped with calls but I noticed the phone ringing and nobody answers it they just let it ring and there were no one but me in the lobby... Do better with your customer service.
If You Want A Credit Union Who Makes Several Mistakes With Your Deposits And Withdrawals. THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! They Deposit Your Money To Other Peoples Accounts And Give You Other Peoples Receipts (Keep In Mind These Receipts Carry Your Bank Account Balance And Address). Then They Also Withdraw From Other People Accounts Instead Of Yours And Expect You To Catch Every Mistake They Make. You Try To Withdraw And Deposit Some Money At The Same Time And Its Like Speaking Cursive To Them Because They Seem To Make Mistakes Typing In The Incorrect Amount All The Time.. According To The Manager James This Happens All The Time.

They recently changed the method to reset you PIN number for your debit card. Can no longer reset at the branch, have to call an 866 number. Well, that number keeps hanging up on me as soon as I call. So now I have a useless debit card. Looks like its time to change banks.

Since Wellby took over it is almost impossible to get a hold of someone now, I tried chat and phone but no luck, The phone system doesn’t even work properly, it give you an option to press 1 to have someone call you back but nothing happens when you press 1. Got tired of waiting.
Teller wise very God service..but no customer amenities. No water on the coffee machine on Saturday morning..
The name changed and so did the service and quality. This is no longer a credit union for its members but a traditional bank that cuts corners, has high fees, poor IT, and horrible customer service.
