Well I honestly have to say my experience applying for an apartment and their follow through was just fabulous. Gilbert is the one who helped me. From the moment I walked in he truly was in top of it. Explained everything in detail. I applied yesterday and by the afternoon (3pm) to be exact he text and called me to let me know of my approval and all needed prior to my move in this Friday. He is truly amazing! Thank you again Gilbert for making this experience calming and pleasant.
I went to these apartments and had applied they were so slow with the application process and I called with multiple times for follow ups and they never got back to me after two weeks. I had a horrible experience here due to the lack of urgency to move into a new apartment. Went somewhere else close by and found something better and they helped me quickly and I signed within days. They don’t have any time to help you and could care less about your move in needs. Honestly won’t ever recommend anyone to move here now. The apartments are nice but the staff is too busy to help you.
An unauthorized withdrawal was made to my bank account while I was on sick leave after having a major surgery. This fraudulent activity occurred on September of this year. My September payment was paid in advance over the summer. When I placed the stop payment on the unauthorized withdrawal, the leasing office charged me $100 for a NSF fee and refused to correct the error. When I made payment in November, I had to update my banking information on their new payment system. I was never notified that the system could NOT locate my banking information. The Leasing Office never notified me and charged a $100 NSF fee. When I contacted my bank, I was informed that THE CHECK WAS NEVER PRESENTED. I wanted to go over the routing and account details of what was on their record, the Leasing Office not available to discuss the problem but was able to charge me $100 for that transaction. I was a tenant for 7 years and never had a FINANCIAL PROBLEM. I plan on escalating this unethical behavior to Consumer Federal Protection Bureau and file a police report. Causing financial difficulties with a residents finances is UNETHICAL and DEPLORABLE.
When you live at Dalian Monterrey Village be afraid of moving out. I was charged on January 13th for my move out charges. Which was fine but they already sent charges to my credit report. They ruined my credit over 150 balance. They did not mail my statement to my new or old address. Thanks Greystar. I will not stop or go away until they fix it. Do not rent here..Greystar is terrible. Run away
So excited to move in, office staff was awesome and so helpful! Gilbert and Andres were on it, it’s my first apartment and they made the process so easy.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! This was my first apartment I ever lived at, and it was the One of the worst places I ever lived at the office staff never reach out to you and all your paperwork never gets done in a timely manner. You have to constantly hassle them. My security deposit was stolen from me every month I would always pay $20-$30 for water and my last month. I cleaned my own apartment very well so that I could make sure to get my security deposit back and they wanna charge me $92 for water which took up my whole hundred dollar security deposit and me and my wife barely got four dollars each back. They always find a way to get you with hidden or extra fees each month and now this whole parking thing is just a joke where you have to register and pay for parking. These people are literal scam artists. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!
They recently started charging for parking. This complex isnt in a prime location like downtown. Nobody’s parking here to go and walk down to hooters. What kinda asshole is that worried about making a buck where they think that’s necessary? I also had animals living in my HVAC ducts and created multiple service requests for someone to remove them. They were tearing up the insulation and it was coming out of my vents. After weeks all they did was change my air filter and completely disregarded the whole thing. Feel free to check yelp (where they average 2 stars) for the rest of my issues. Can’t wait for my lease to be up so I can move!
I moved in the last week of May and I decided to give it a few weeks before writing a review. Overall, the complex is relatively quiet and the front office staff treat you well. However, when it comes to property upkeep and maintenance, more work is definitely needed.Pros: friendly community, welcoming office staff, parking is still available at night, quiet community except for loud cars every now and then off Ingram Rd.Cons: upon moving in, I had quite a few maintenance issues that were resolved within a week for the most part. My dishwasher was broken as well however, it took more than a month and consistent follow-ups to get it replaced. They replaced it with a blue dishwasher that throws off the silver stainless stainless steel color scheme on (7/5), my move in was (5/28). Also, try not to get a unit near the trash compactor. There’s been a couple weekends here where it gets overloaded and becomes an eyesore and fly nuisance on your balcony. Also, be sure to lock your doors and check for belongings in your vehicle. We received a correspondence about a recent rash of vehicle break-ins.
Please for your own sanity never live here.First off, they will literally never answer the office phone. You can leave as many messages as you want and they wont call you back.Second, we have had a family of raccoons living above us for around 8 months. After weeks of pestering, they finally sent a specialist to add traps without even telling us about it. Either they never caught them and just stopped trying or they caught them and released them too close. Theyve returned and the office seems to not care at all.Third, we have noticed a sulfur scent coming from our hot water and ac vents for a couple weeks, I have called and left messages but of course there has been no answer or return on my calls.Fourth, Ive been calling, emailing, and showing up in person for months about sending paperwork that needs to be signed. Ive been told multiple times that they would send it later that day which never happened.Genuinely dont listen to anyone who tells you to live here. Save yourself and live somewhere else if you can.
Toured here recently and loved the interior and pool! Gilbert was the leasing person that helped me out and was so helpful!
Don’t take my word for it check out the photos. When I toured the show apartment, I was like man this is it where do I sign. Signed the lease and about 2 weeks later I’m moving into my new place.First of all couldn’t get onto the premises because the key fob didn’t work. No issues though that’s a quick fix.I get into the apartment and these are honest to god photos of their move in ready apartmentWhat you see before you is broken handles, stained cabinets and sinks, Molded counter tops and air vents, discolored painting and the list goes. Was not expecting this at all. Hope this helps someone.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! I have had a constant issue with pest control involving raccoons living on my roof. Before moving in, I figured, why not get an apartment in the third-floor since I won’t have neighbors upstairs. I wanted to avoid any noise, but instead, I came across another issue. Now I deal with raccoons rattling, scratching, and crawling amongst the roof…. Makes me wish I was dealing with neighbors!! Management claims it’s an issue the city has to take care of and nothing can be done… well they haven’t done anything to help the situation!! They also go through your trash since there’s trash pickup service leaving the hallways full of garbage.. So done with this place.
Hands down the worse move-in experience of my life.I’m military personnel and had a short notice assignment to this area. I wished I would have taken more time to look at the multiple poor reviews of this apartment. I took my chances, but I’m writing this to tell ALL REVIEWERS TO SPEND THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE.Approximately a week prior to moving in, I was escorted to a gorgeous model unit. Everything lined up to what I need as far as rent, location, and “luxury” living. Fast forward one week— I was told I had 15 minutes to sign a lease on a unit that was not the one I originally agreed on. Apparently, the unit I was supposed to move in to, those tenants were unable to move. Being in a hurry for military classes/new job to start, I signed, trusting that they would hold up their end of the bargain. Next, I was told I would pay the entire next month rent plus the pro-rated rent, when that was not written in my lease, nor was it what I originally agreed on with the front office worker who assisted me through this process. But that’s not even the bad part. When I arrived to move in, I was taken to an apartment that was no where near “move-in ready”. In fact, I doubt it was even inspected when the last tenant moved out. The list below is what I found after I was handed the key on MOVE-IN day:1.Dust/Dirt on all base boards2. Dirty shower w/ mold in caulking3. Dysfunctional shower head and shower faucet4. Rusted shower flange5. Urine under toilet seat6. Damaged stove top and oven gasket7. Damaged doors in bathroom/closet fixed with tape and concealed with white paint (wth?)8. Dented refrigeratorI have never moved in to an apartment to discover these poor conditions. It’s bad on the previous tenant but even more so, extremely careless of the management. I am still pending work orders that had to be submitted at move in. Additionally, there were issues with the water temperature and I requested pest management after seeing a baby roach near my dishwasher AFTER cleaning for two days straight. I figured if it hadn’t been cleaned there’s no way in hell it was sprayed. Finally, the conditions of the hallways, walkways, and steps outside of the apartments are absolutely disgusting and embarrassing. Looks like it hasn’t been power washed EVER. It’s filthy. The front office scheduled their “on-site cleaning crew” to come to my apartment this past Friday. However, a maintenance guy showed up and caulked the crevice of my shower. Lol, wth? Whatever. It took me two days to deep clean everything myself, and I still find dust in vents, cupboard surfaces, etc. Counting the months until this lease ends.SAVE YOUR TIME, ENERGY, and MONEY. I see plenty of apartments in this area, that I’m positive are doing better by their tenants.
Due to the bad reviews during initial move ins; I will be cancelling my appointment. Its a shame people pay so much in rent and deal with such ugly living conditions. * Office not answering, *poop and trash * dirty/damaged units upon move it. Thank you to everyone who posted pictures. I wont be moving here.
This is the absolute worse place you can go. We moved in on November 19,2022, the very first night we noticed roaches. I immediately called the leasing office the next morning and told Maria (leasing agent) her response was “you probably brought them with you.” I was appalled as I’d never even seen a roach before in my life. She called pest control but it did nothing. We tried getting out of our contract but if we did it would go on our credit. We have a 3 year old daughter who is now completely terrified of bugs and is scared of them crawling on her. We have called pest control a total of about 40 times and the roaches have never not once been gone. We had a total of one “clean out” but pest control said that Dalian Monterrey village doesn’t like them because they cost more. It’s disgusting living in this and we are moving at the end of the month and they are more than likely moving with us. Dalian had been NO HELP as when I tried to speak to the manager she completely ignored me and my family and just shut her door and looked away. I’m now pregnant and terrified as these pests carry so many harmful diseases and no one here seems to care. We lived in a nightmare for 14 months please look elsewhere literally anywhere else.
I love my apartment! I moved in last June and it has been great. I like the pool and my pup loves playing at the dog park. Maria is always nice and helpful when I stop by the front office, and maintenance requests are always completed quick and effectively.
Deborah Lopez (The Assistant manager) helped me through out my entire move in and she was amazing ! I was one of the most indecisive people and she was always very helpful. She talked to me and treated me as if I was family. She made sure I was 100% percent happy with my apartment and got me into the one I wanted. Her coworker Maria was also very nice and they are very personable. I am very happy with the choice I made. Thank you again:)With that said , the parking here is atrocious!!!!!!!!!
Me and my little family have been living her for a year and a half and just signed a new lease. We have only been in SA for 5 years and this apt complex is the best out of every other place we lived. Maintenence is always working. Front office staff is always aware and friendly/helpful. My AC went out and within the day they came to fix it quickly. I love these apts. The pool is amazing. My kids love the work out room. Love getting cookies from the front office. The best apt in my eyes for me and my family.
Absolutely LOVE and ADORE Mrs. Debbie Lopez! She set the tone for these apartments! Me and my husband are not from San Antonio and we were having a really long day looking for different apartments, and her energy was absolutely amazing. Regardless of whether or not we ended up leasing did not even matter because of how generous and sweet and uplifting this woman was. Not only does she make you feel like you’re at home by just stepping in the office, but she just overall is amazing! I look forward to leasing with this apartment and I’m so glad that we have an apartment with such an amazing management team! Miss Lopez went way beyond and stayed with us after closing to make sure that we felt comfortable leasing with them! She answered all of our questions, she didn’t make us feel rushed, and she honestly was just a real blessing. This woman should be promoted!
I dont reside in this community, thank god. Nor would I suggest that anyone should. One visit was all it took.If youre a ground level tenant, save up for a deposit on a home or better apartment. As decent as the interior design presents itself, walls and ceiling are made of paper. So not worth living under a black family with kids that only run and never walk. Btw, the lovely aroma of cheap kush is most definitely there everywhere you walk around. Like most complexes, management never values you, youre a walking commission check until you make the mistake of moving in.If youre going to pay ~1,200 for a 2 Bdr, 1 Bath, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
PLEASE DONT COME TO THIS PLACE, SOMEONE BROKE INTO MY APARTMENT IN THE MORNING WHILE I WAS AT WORK AND STOLE EVERY VALUABLE THING!! ITS NOT SAFE !!!!This place is not safe to live in, the property manager didnt care about what happened and I was so scarred to stay at this place again and wanted my security deposit so I can leave, they didnt allow me to leave stating that we have a contract. They dont care about the people inside the complex they just care about getting paid.Even when the police arrived they told me did the property manager come to visit you guys and see what happened or at least called you guys to see if you need help with something, I told her no one showed up and she was surprised.I am a student at lackland AFB and I come from a different country, it is not safe to stay here!!we are paying more than $1,700 a Month and its not worth wasting your money on something not safe and the property employees dont care.Find a better place.P.S. they broke into my apartment while I was at school so this thing happened in morning time. They take more than 5 months to give you the security deposit back. (This is my friends issue now, he contacted me to help him with the security deposit. they dont care at all!! they just want money.!!!)
DO NOT LIVE HERE. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The property was never cleaned up which causes the constant smell of dog fecal matter. The pool was always dirty and thats if they dont close it for maintenance. Theyll do everything in their power to milk every penny from you when you move out too so proceed with caution.
My stay at Dalian Monterrey Village has been nothing short of a nightmare, plagued by incompetence, negligence, and exploitation at every turn. The lowest point of my experience occurred last August when my car was stolen right from the supposedly secure premises, all thanks to the laughably simplistic gate code 1111. Managements response? They changed the code the day after the theft, a classic case of locking the barn door after the horse has bolted. Despite assurances of surveillance footage, none was ever provided, leaving me to grapple with feelings of vulnerability and betrayal. But the security debacle is just the tip of the iceberg. Living at Dalian Monterrey Village has been a lesson in frustration and disappointment. Despite paying exorbitant rent prices, Im constantly reminded of the stark disconnect between cost and value. The square footage of my current apartment pales in comparison to others in the area, yet management sees fit to raise the rent without justification or remorse. As if that werent enough, Ive been subjected to a relentless barrage of eviction threats for the past two months, despite consistently scheduling payments as soon as I receive my paycheck. Its as though management delights in wielding their power over vulnerable tenants, using fear and intimidation to extract every last penny. And lets not forget the inevitable battle over the security deposit. I have no desire to clean up the apartment upon departure, knowing full well that management will find any excuse to withhold my hard-earned money. In conclusion, Dalian Monterrey Village is a cautionary tale of everything that can go wrong when greed and negligence reign supreme. I implore anyone considering a lease here to look elsewhere for housing. Spare yourself the heartache and headache of dealing with a management company that sees tenants not as valued residents, but as mere sources of revenue to be exploited and discarded at will.EDIT: Their reaching out comment was to tell me to pay a $100 NSF fee I have no idea about. Literally threatened eviction and told me to pay the full balance (which I did). Now there’s a fee. Ok.
I love this place!! i’ve lived here for 6 months and they have taken such good care of us. all of the ladies in the front office are very accommodating and always address any needs or concerns we have professionally and promptly. the apartments themselves are gorgeous and super spacious, with valet trash accommodations, AT&T fiber was already installed in our unit, and many more super cool amenities. a huge thank you to Maria, Debbie, Maricella, and Priscilla for everything y’all do! truly thank you ladies for making our apartment a home!
I went into the front office and was greeted by Deborah AKA DEBBIE DEB!! She showed great interest in helping find the perfect place for me. I was showed hospitality and she was very professional. They took care of any questions I had and gave me solutions. She was able to sign me up the same day I couldn’t have had a more perfect experience. If you’re looking for a good place to stay this is it. Thanks again DEBBIE DEB!!!
Im a current resident and very much looking forward to getting out of here as soon as my lease ends. Ive only lived here for a few months but my AC has been broken twice already (both times during a weekend, and theres no emergency help other than a maintenance guy that will flip breakers for you in hopes that will fix the issue). Also, the front office staff will totally lie to you about getting things fixed after you move in. What you see is what you get. If you notice something wrong before you sign the lease just know that it will not get fixed after you move in, even if they tell you otherwise. Other than that, the gates never work, the gym is missing tons of weights, and the building exterior hallways are filthy.
Positive is that it’s a clean, safe, quiet complex with security at night. However, my apartment has a really strong smell of marijuana embedded into its cabinets and walls. I spent so much money on air fresheners, cleaning supplies, and candles but none worked because it kept coming in through the vents. The walls are paper thin. I’ve been asked if I was outside while talking on the phone because they could hear cars passing by while I was sitting inside. I never received a working key fob in the entire year I’ve been here. I asked numerous times if I could have another but was met with the response that there were none available and there was a delay with the repair company in fixing them. While I understand these things happen, to have a year long delay is unacceptable and unfair to the residents as we need a key fob to access amenities. This complex has the biggest parking issue in any place I’ve been. There are no spaces available if you arrive past 7pm. I’ve also been locked out of the complex several times when the gate keypad wasn’t working and had to wait until someone leaving the complex, opened the gate. Overall, the negatives have far outweighed the positives in my experience here.
It’s just incredible how customer service here is on point, and how new residents are treated with so much love. From the day I walked in with my mom to get an apartment still present, I have been treated like a prince. Shout out to Deborah Lopez for her incredible customer service and support. She made me love my stay here before I even had to spend a night at the complex. I haven’t stayed in an apartment since 2014 and I knew it was going to be a crazy transition back to a little space but this place is great. Deborah Lopez showed us how management cares and have love for their residents and how top-class this place is.I will recommend her to anyone who want to know the true love and how fancy this apartment is.Stay blessed folks.
Doesn’t matter what time or date you call the office, they will only answer when they want to. I always call and get sent straight to voicemail but when I have a late fee, all of a sudden they are available. The dog park shower station is broken. The exit gate on the side hasn’t worked for months. Been here 2 years. Excited to finally leave.
I was resident in apt 3311It is a very bad experience with them, they will not return the deposit to you, whatever it is, and they do not respond to my calls , I have been out for 3 months now, and they did not even send move out statement , I give them more than 3 times the new address , and I sent more than 5 emails , also my friend went to them but they still nobody will help , and it is very bad Management , when I leave I keep the apartment better than it was , I only lived for 4 months .I dont recommend it at all specially international
Great amenities and clean environment to live. Would definitely recommend this complex to others. The management surprised me of how they stepped in when I wasnt receiving the answers I need while at the front office. The assistance manager started the conversation over and treated me fairly while solving my issues very pleased with her approach and positive change from other interactions from previous apartments I have stayed in the past.
Fell in love with this place the moment we seen it loved it more when we seen the demos ,me and my husband filled an application right away got approved right than and there! We couldnt be any happier DEBORAH,& LEEANN answered all my questions and concerned both with a great attitude and knowledge! Highly recommend community, and staff with your needs! Go to Deborah and Leeann!!!
DO NOT MOVE IN!!!!This place is ridiculous!! Maintenance takes WEEKS to come fix things, yet they’re always chatting it up with the next door apartment’s maintenance guys. Every month I get charged “fees” and they don’t answer as to what but threaten eviction if I don’t pay that day.Maricela in the front office is always rude. Overall just the worst experience ever. Counting the days my lease is up so I can finally leave.Oh, and my restroom is filled with mold!
As I am apartment hopping, I’m glad that I didn’t continue my search here. Thanks too the reviews i’ll look elsewhere!
Maria has gone above and beyond making sure we are taken care of with follow up calls …this is why we decided to stay at Dalian Monterey Village and upgrade our apartment. The leasing staff and management are awesome!!!
Never any parking if you come home past 6pm. Neighbors fight and are very loud despite office being informed on numerous occasions. Was a resident for a year and the office always said they were out of remotes to access the gate. I’ve also either had package delivered to the neighboring complex (Dalian 151) and/or stolen from my doorstep. Totally glad I’m leaving.
This place hasn’t been bad at all. Management/office staff has been helpful when needed and they respond quickly. My only complaints are that the entrance is shared with another apartment complex so I have had many of my orders delivered to the wrong place, the gate is left open and doesn’t work often, and this place charges you about $30 extra (I forgot the exact amount) for you to take your own trash out. The trash collectors leave the bags in the can if they take a tiny bit of effort to be taken out or if weight more than than an ounce and stray animals get to the bags, leaving the hall smelling terribly. It’s ridiculous that they can’t do better with that considering how much money they are making from every single renter.
No stars! There’s dogs left on the balcony for hours and even days! You hear them whining, barking and smells like pee when you past the balcony. People don’t pick up after their dogs in the complex especially in the dog park. Dog park is small for and no fund things to play on just a “grass” area and dirt. Thats not okay for the animals and it clearly states no dogs on the balcony on the contract. Theres multiple vehicles with flat tires just parked through out the complex.. the apartment complex hasn’t finishing painting the buildings clearly they can’t make up their min on what color to pick because towards the back there 3 different styles. Constant break ins. No lights in the complex so if you’re a dog owner, bring a flashlight. Forget walking to the mailbox once the sun goes down as cars driving in and out are unlikely to see you. I have almost been hit multiple times. Office refuses to respond to emails or answer phone. No issues matter to the office from flooding to mold. They don’t care and will show you how much they don’t care by ignoring you if you dare confront them. If you move here bring your own security camera and lights you will need them!!
Would not live here. They don’t enforce pet clean up. Allow loud events at the pool and don’t clean up. And then when you move out try to stick you to pay for cleaning services on stuff they left dirty in the first place. Giant scam artists and rude office staff.
Avoid this place. We had a horrible time during move in with our washer being broken on day 1, padlock being jammed & locked inside the apartment for over 45 mins because no one answers the phone here, & trash EVERYWHERE. The complex is so disgusting & unsafe as the gate never works and the code is literally so easy to guess, 4 of the same number. My husband gave 30 days notice per his military orders & they never submitted it so when I went to pay our prorated amount on the 1st, it was not accurate, trying to make us pay for the full month. Maria was the one who had assisted us with moving in & terminating our lease which she messed up both. I am now trying to pay our final payment and they took away my access to pay online & told me to call a number which I did 3 days ago, no answer, and have heard nothing from.
When I first moved in it was a quiet and peaceful place to live. It is just me and daughter and lately my fellow neighbors keep harassing us. These neighbors make it difficult to enjoy living here and management has yet to resolve this issue.
I am currently a tenant living here now, lease is up in October, thank god. I will most definitely not be renewing. I have filed multiple noise complaints through the messaging system, yet no response and nothing has been done. I have a newborn and try to nap when she naps but that is hard when your upstairs neighbors sound like they are trying to come through your ceilings, i have even tried to talk to the neighbors but they ignored the door and just continued to be loud. The noise literally last all day even past midnight sometimes. The office clearly does not care for their tenants and are just about selling a lease. I can’t wait to move somewhere worth $1500+ rent this place is not it, please find somewhere else to stay, i regret moving here.
This is the absolute worst place to move I have a ridiculous move out fee of $6000. Just some examples: full paint $338 for what some little scratches. $185 to replace some blinds. $100 to fix the cheap cabinets that were already not good when I lived in and a toilet paper holder that was already BROKEN. What is wrong with you people. I’m a single mother a movement must be made. This must be stopped. I’m waiting for pictures and a supervisor or manager.
My mothers car was STOLEN from the parking lot right in front of her apartment. This is just weeks after her car was BROKEN INTO and having to pay to have her window and car fixed. Are there cameras in the parking lot? Of course not. On top of that, the security provided by the gate is laughable (as other reviews have pointed out) when its always open or anyone else can just sneak in. Why would someone want to live in an apartment complex where the management makes absolutely no effort to keep their personal property safe? Willing to pay for a garage to keep your property safe? Good luck getting through the waitlist. Shes lived here for all of eight months and Im already researching new places for her to live when this lease is up. And based on these other reviews, it looks like we have a lengthy battle getting her deposit back to look forward to. Do yourself a favor and LOOK ELSEWHERE.
Debbie Lopez and Maria in the leasing office are AMAZING and so passionate for what they are doing! I was impress by their professionalism the way they were introduce to me. The make me understand everything about the leasing in a short period of time , that make me come back to complete the process. Debbie helped me so much by just taking a human and logical approach to our conversation. Thanks Debbie for outstanding job, you make me feel home before signing the contract !! Thanks Maria for your simplicity and your interaction with people around you. Great complex & great people! Keep it up.
Was sent away without being able to even see an apartment after being told there were no wheelchair ramps to get from the parking lot/street area to any apartment, at all, by wheelchair. While we were pulling in and out, we saw there were wheelchair ramps to get to the apartment office, while exiting, there were more seen through the gate .I dont know whether theyre just ignorant of the property theyre managing or wanting to push out/keep out people using wheelchairs, but thats ridiculous
Fast approval! I love these apartments! Modern interior, quiet, and close to my employer. I am a very happy resident.10/18/16, Updating my review, been here almost 3 months and I am not very happy resident. It seems like they care more about getting people moved in instead of taking care of the residents who are already here. People dont care how they drive through the lot, and the office staff is not helpful at all. I recently inquired about renting a carport because I am changing my work hours and issue that followed left me very upset. The inside of the apartments nice, so is the pool & the leasing office but thats about it. You really dont get what you pay for here. I shouldve looked at other apartments before signing my lease. 11 more months to go.........
Your package will get stolen if its left out more than an hour, there is no package management except for USPS so couriers deliver to your door. There are usually mixups so dont be surprised if you have to go to the sister complex (Dalian 151) for your package. The complex is pretty old and noise is an issue. If you cant get a third floor unit then dont. The veneer on the cabinets was peeling, and floorboards were cut comically short to reveal gaps. The only luxury thing about this place is granite countertops, which were stained before I moved in. In my year they power washed the breezeways once but they are too stained to be completely clean. It was not uncommon to see police vehicles. Whenever a neighbor smokes you can smell it through the vents. Grounds keeping was non existent, the parking lot near my building was stained of vomit, and some people do not pick up after their dogs. People ran into the gate multiple times so it remained open for a majority of my lease, but it did get fixed by the time I moved out.The only good thing from the property was maintenance, which resolved issues very quickly. This complex is also placed on a grid that miraculously did not have any outages during the freeze in 2021, but that is all luck. They also kept trying to charge for water despite paying my final water bill and not living there anymore, so keep an eye on your account when you move out.
Debbie Lopez in the leasing office is AMAZING and so compassionate! I was overcharged by mistake when I moved out last month and received a bill from the apartment complex. Debbie was able to track the mistakes in their system and correct the issue the same day! I was fully prepared to have to fight my way through this and Debbie helped me so much by just taking a human and logical approach to our conversation. I loved living here and only moved out because I bought a house. I would recommend this apartment complex to EVERYONE! Thanks Debbie!! 😊 Great complex & great people!
I just moved in a few weeks ago and like it so far. The whole move in process was so incredibly easy. I did read reviews that people’s cars were getting broken into and stolen, however, since moving in, I see that they have security and nightly patrol cars driving around day/night.The cons are that the back gate has a huge gap in it so anyone can walk off the street and into the complex. I’m guessing this is partly why cars were getting robbed. The pool is beautiful however i’ve noticed anyone can use it (and does). There seems to be a lot of ppl who don’t actually live here using the pool which has it overcrowded. Im in the first building and can see from my apt ppl driving/walking in from outside and going to the pool. It’s disappointing because the times i have gone most of the chairs/areas are taken up by ppl who don’t even live there. They need to make the gate higher as it’s easy for anyone without a pass to get into the pool area. This seems to be a big issue via complaints i’ve seen and heard and I hope they do something about this soon.Lastly, the gym is nice but a lot of the cardio equipment doesn’t work or is broken. There are weights that are missing and it’s not cleaned regularly (lots of cobwebs/dust).If they fix all those things i’ll change my rating for sure.
New tenant of the Dalian Monterrey Village here.My leasing experience was amazing! Maria (the leasing agent) went above and beyond for my roommates and I. She was very responsive, nice and really addressed our needs! The complex is pretty nice and has so many amenities.Highly recommend you come in and ask for Maria, she’ll take care of you!
Management here are very rude and unprofessional. When we first signed up to move here we were very specific on how many people will be moving in and are barley now asking us and say were over the limit. We are practically getting noise complaints every single day it seems and we are very considerate with others. Our kids are in bed or watching tablets calm after 10 pm because we also have to be up as early as 7 AM for work and at this point feel like its harassment. Were told theres stomping and music playing when not once have we played music nor have people over. I also hear noises but never complain but just assume its us. Ive had policeman wake us up in the middle of the night to say theres been yet another complaint and what does the management have to say Well its considered a noise complaint after 10 PM with ATTITUDE. saying we need to think of others and know there is people below. NEVER hear our side, just take who ever complained sides. I feel like were walking on eggshells around the apartment and no one should feel like that in a place they are living and call home.
The Apartments look great during the tour. The pool is the first thing they show you because its the best and only thing. But let me tell you the office doesnt care as long as you pay rent. With months of living here the dryer doesnt work, the dishwasher doesnt work, my freezer stopped working and no one cares ...just pay your rent or else ... thank God Im not homeless... they even have a time on the hot water 10 minutes to be exact...then cold water for an hour... this is outrageous
Repairs are not done in a timely manner and not properly done. Management also does not follow up on complaints of other tenants. My daughter was living on the 1st floor and had the second floor tenants riding scooters and skateboards in their apt. They also walked their dog to poop in front of our patio and nothing was done about. Have pictures to proof it.
Started off good but ending bad.. I guess there’s new people in the leasing office. The previous ones knew of our situation and were understanding as long as payments were made. But Maria/Christopher has been extremely rude and unprofessional through email. Usually if the lease term ends and there is still a remaining balance the leaser and tenant will come up with a plan or agreement to make sure the balance is payed before sending to collections. They are refusing to answer both my emails and calls which is frustrating because I don’t even live in San Antonio, I live in Houston.
I am not surprising reading all negative feedback. More than 4 people have said that the their experience was not good at all. Most common is that the administration don’t return your security deposit no matter what and how they are perfect at making excuses to hold your money.
Really really love the look of these apartments! Beautiful, clean, and spacious enough. Unfortunately, I dont live here because I decided I needed different accommodations, but touring was quick, easy, and enjoyable. Prices are what you can expect for 2 bedrooms. Big patios and beautiful pool and gym.
-⭐️Office staff and maintenance are absolutely useless when it comes to actually helping residents with anything including even the smallest requests/ issues. They act as if it’s an inconvenience to them to literally do their jobs in service their tenants. Take the reviews seriously, what is said is all true. Of course you will have a good experience as a new coming resident, but once you sign the lease the problems will follow and attitudes will change. Trust the reviews!!
Worst service! Beware!I went to the front office for an issue with my grocery delivery that was suppose to deliver to my apartment (next door apartment) I didn’t want to walk up to the apartment and cause issues. To be safe rather than sorry I went to the front office to ask to take me to the apartment that had my groceries or call the owner of the apartment to be on the safe side. The first women I encountered was very rude and asked if I had a work order to be there at the office, she didn’t let me explain myself and had a really bad attitude. Another women helped me and called the owner of the apartment about my groceries, the person didn’t pick up, and the employee said “you can go and get your groceries”. She didn’t escort me and didn’t give me any directions she just pointed the building. Thankfully I got my groceries back but all of the women that work in the leasing office were terrible and unprofessional.
Beware. This place is a complete dump. Besides. Since day one i moved in people on top my apartment. Made none stop noise. office never did anything. About it. All they did. Was gimme run around. Was there 4 months. They. Didnt stop also when i moved in mold. On rr cieling. Missing. Drywall pieces. Water faucets. From rr and kitchen were. Broken. Washer was leaking. Till after 3 months they. Replaced.leak in kitchen ceiling since day one. Also broken water heater last two weeks. The two maintenance guys just. Driving around never fix anything right contacted. Corporate. Due to this issue. No response yet. Will try to upload videos.
My husband and I have lived here for only 6 months and though the look and feel/amenities of the area look absolutely amazing (the pool and lounge area are way above par), Im torn with the fact that we have encountered several problems. Our first day we moved in, the air conditioning didnt work (and it was during the dead heat of June) and were told the vents were built incorrectly. Also, we found a plastic bottle hidden on the top shelf of one of our closets filled with tobacco spit which was really disgusting. One of our outlets were not working and a lightbulb was already out before we moved in. We observed this within the first few days of moving in. Someone came in without warning to fix the kitchen sink (apparently they were fixing all kitchen sinks) for safety precaution. Youd think these problems would be fixed beforehand. People were going in and out constantly to fix all the problems going on in our apartment. Talk about a bad first impression. Today it finally started getting cold enough to turn on the heater. Within about 20 seconds, there was a burning smell throughout our apartment and the fire alarm went off. I also cant seem to broil anything without the fire alarm going off either. Id say staying here isnt really worth the rent money but if youre looking for a comfy place that looks amazing with lots of bugs (we were warned about this though), Dalian Monterrey Village is a great place. Were looking into finding a house after our lease ends.
Dalian Monterey Village was the first place me and my wife moved into together. From the beginning all of the associates were super kind and answered all of our questions to the best of their ability. This is a super friendly apartment complex for military. Also it is one of the nicest apartment complexs Ive been to in the San Antonio area. Checking out with super easy and the associates Deborah and Sabrina really helped me go through the proper steps to ensure I wouldnt be overcharged. Everyone here goes above and beyond for you and the apartment complex is second to none. 100% recommend! Sad that we are moving!!!
I absolutely love living here! I have the biggest 2 bedroom 2 bath. The application process was simple, I was approved online. Move in day was great apartment was clean, no issues at all. I thought my garbage disposal was broken but I didn’t have it plugged in haha. Trash gets picked up everyday Mon-Friday. They seem to miss Fridays and come Sunday evening though which is better for me anyway. I would recommend this place to anyone that can afford it. I can’t wait until the summer to enjoy outdoors here. Everyone has dogs, mostly small dogs and the community does great job pick up the dog poop! I don’t pay for a parking spot but I always find spots near my apartment just not super late at night! If your coming in from a long night out don’t expect to find parking LOL. But I’ve been here for 2 months and I’m definitely renewing my 15 month lease when the time comes. Or I may move next door 🚀🚀
So far, I have had a terrible experience with this apartment. The gate is never closed from the secondary entrance all the time, causing safety issues. The unit we moved in has bad smelly dishwasher, the shower door cannot close, and every time you use kitchen sink it leaks. The fitness gyms AC is not working well and always has 85 temperature when i work our there.
Great place! Very helpful staff and super friendly! (Maria, Marisella and Deborah especially) They have made my move here beyond welcoming! From assisting me with the ins and outs of the apartment complex to navigating the local area they have exceeded professionalism and all expectations!
Bad customer service. Nobody picks up the phone or response to our emails during operation hours. I wonder if their residents need any urgent help how they gonna assist immediately.Edited: i wish i could but same thing happened today, I already got the lease and everything ready to move in today, i called to confirm with the office and to turn the electric on but Maria picked up the phone, she seemed like doesnt have any clue about it and said will call me back but it been hours, NO CALLS so i called the office (AND NO ANSWERS AGAIN) 😐 Disappointing
I live on the 3rd floor and there has been a raccoon living above me for weeks, and despite me telling the office multiple times that there is an ANIMAL living above me, they’ve sent the guy to spray instead of an exterminator. Do better.
I am sharing this only because my work truck was stolen twice in one week about 2 weeks ago. I have had no problems with the office staff or maintenance, I should have read the reviews before I moved in. Not sure if it was because of the gate being broken at the time but it hadn’t been fixed in a while until now, even at that it still messes up. But now I’m faced with work issues because of this incident and I know there’s nothing this complex or the owners can do about, it’s either someone living here that’s doing the crimes or since the gates hardly work people are able to come in and do these things and ruin things for hard working people.
The apartment themselves are nice. Been living here for a month now. But as far as trying to get anything taken care of with the office is a huge hassle. They never answer the phone and when they do, they usually dont know what to do and tell me they will give me a call back and never do. Trash valet they make you pay monthly doesnt take your trash half the time. The pest control is a joke. I just moved in and Ive found bugs all over the place. Seemed like they waited till the last second to clean my apartment because it was filthy. Grease splatters on appliances, paint on cabinets (also cabinets made from plywood that peels off 😬) then hair in the kitchen drawers. Honestly move next door to dalian 151. Pretty dissappointed with the office staff
From day 1, we have had the absolute BEST experience here. From the staff, to our neighbors, to the construction workers establishing new buildings, our time spent here has exceeded expectations. The front office staff really takes the time to know their residents, and nothing makes you feel more important than to be greeted by name.Upon our initial move-in, I had a small complaint about the appearance of the shower (all cosmetic the shower worked fine) and the level of service from the consultants and the complex managers (who proactively involved themselves) was remarkable in every way. They continuously followed up thru completion, and even offered my parents to stay for FREE in one of their model units. The interior design of these units are very modern and trendy, but what makes this place astonishing is the high-level service the staff brings. I have lived in San Antonio 8 years now, in 7 different complexes and have never felt the need to write a review (a good one at least). If you are in the hunt for an apartment, seriously, look no further than Dalian Monterrey Village I promise you wont be disappointed.
Ive lived here now for almost 15 months. The staff changed in December and since then has yet to be very good or get the hand of how to run stuff. They do not handle issues very well. Theyre very helpful at getting you into a place to get money and that seems to be it. Ive now experienced the entire staff going down the drain including the last 2 employees left that are original ones. The noise level is through the roof. The gate has been broken off and on for weeks since January. A lot of vandalism and stealing has been going on. I had a package stolen from my front door, many neighbors have had break ins happen to theyre vehicles, things stolen from or off of their vehicles and front entry ways. The walk in gate is continually left open. We have a community page and it hasnt been used at all by staff since the old staff was on and neither has the app that is used for the community. The walls are super thin, the price you pay to live here isnt worth it. It looks nice and that is all. It is not very nice. The side of town its on is terrible as well. Many vehicles stolen regularly over at the shopping center and so on. Itd be advised to look in a better area. Thousand oaks and 281 area has better price ranges and also handles any issues that come about.Update: since posting this my family and I had to evacuate emergency wise due to the apartment not being habitable. They would not refund me my deposit after i askd and showed evidence of the issues and id suggest not living here by any means. Ill be leaving photos.
It is a quiet area, the staff is nice, & maintenance is quick with servicing. However, the parking here is not so great, people can be messy by not picking up after themselves or their pets. The mail is always getting mixed up as well especially since Dalian 151 is next to us & have the same unit numbers. But again over place is nice & quiet.
Great community. No cameras anywhere else but at the gates which has a little uneasy feeling to it. Make sure you right down who you get information from and when because most of the staff is never on the same page about the information they give. Its like luck of the draw with your neighbors I have they worse luck and the front office has done nothing to really help my situation so I would say that if they could find a more efficient way to handle noise complaints that would be better especially if your job has odd hours. They dont have quiet hours here so thats another downfall, or theres none stated in the lease.
Maria Torres assisted me into moving in my new apartment. Maria was very professional and courteous. She was very helpful walking me through the process of renting from this location. I definitely give her five Gold ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Since me and my family have moved to Dalian, there has been very few discrepancies living here. Those discrepancies happen to be a couple of quick fixes that maintenance easily took care of in a quick manner. Danielle helped us move in very smoothly and made our process that much better. She’s attentive and very helpful for us. I do recommend staying here of course. The lack of a 5 star rating is due to the hard to find parking but besides that it’s great!
So I typically dont usually leave reviews whether they be good or bad, but having been living at these Apts for only a few months I have quite enjoyed my experience. The staff are wonderful, very helpful, and accommodating. We had a minor incident with our garage when moving in, but that mainly had to do with the people who installed the garage as opposed to the apt staff themselves. Aside from that, they have been available to answer our questions, assist us in what we needed, and are always friendly and saying hi to me on a first name bases. I know different people may have had a not so pleasant, initial experience, but my bf and I have enjoyed living here these past few months. The hard wood floors are a bit on the meh side, but the overall look of the apartment is very nice. All those who have come over to check it out have also liked the look and layout of the apartment.
Ive posted the following comments through several channels, have asked to be contacted at the end of each instance, and I have yet to receive a response. It has been over a week, further fueling my dissatisfaction... I am a current resident highly dissatisfied with my renting experience at Dalian Monterrey as of late. Ive been charged a renter insurance violation fee for several months. Id never been contacted by any means about said violation fee or how to be in compliance and the fee continued to be collected until I finally noticed it was being added on to my rent for several months in a row. I went to inquire about the reason, I was told that the property wasnt listed as an interested party on the policy and that I wouldnt be able to get my money back for the collected fees because it wasnt collected by the office itself. I called up my insurance company and they notified me that the property was indeed listed as an interested party. Not only have I been charged money I should not have, Ive been told I can not get that money back. Ive submitted maintenance requests that are either completed poorly (disposal fixing, breezeway cleaning, weak water pressure) or not completed at all (breezeway cleaning, exterior garage light replacement). In February my lease is set to end and I am planning to move into Dalians newly constructed sister community, Dalian 151 though the thought now gives me pause. I am wondering if this is the nature of all Greystar communities and whether it is smart to continue to give my money to Greystar. Ive been a resident at Dalian Monterrey for 3 years. My rent has always been paid early and in full. Ive also recently had to endure extremely noisy upstairs neighbors with a dog that makes constant noise all hours of the day and night and barks aggressively at anything that moves whenever put outside. Found a dead scorpion inside my closet. Ive thought several times of breaking my lease just to be able to escape Dalian Monterrey but it isnt a financially sound choice so I am stuck until February. Around me, the community seems to be falling apart but I have not been a difficult resident nor have I made constant complaints. I am now however at my complete end. The corporate office needs to be aware of this experience, as I am not the only resident with poor experience stories at Dalian Monterrey. I often read Google reviews and wonder why it is that none of those concerns/complaints are ever addressed. I again, also wonder if committing to this community was the best choice. Dirty breezeways, neighbors who put trash outside regardless of whether or not they pay for trash valet. It is increasingly becoming an unsafe and unsightly place to live.
Lived at Dalian back in 2015 and I have to say the office staff and maintenance were absolutely amazing. From the leasing team that assisted me through my leasing and move in day to the housekeeper that made my home feel inviting. Ive moved in to a lot of places, but moving into Dalian definitely set a new standard. I didnt want to move, but a new employment opportunity came up and I had to end my lease. If I do ever call San Antonio home again Dalian will be my first choice.
I have lived here for about 9 months now and I don’t have a complaint. It’s a nice quiet community. Located near food and shopping plazas just a few minutes away. Office and maintenance staff are super nice and helpful. Food trucks are invited every week, which is nice if you want to take a night off from cooking. Thank you for a wonderful experience Dalian😊
The apartments have begun to show what its reputation will be like now that its not so new. After a year i have gotten frustrated. I am usually the resident that you never see because Im low key and nothing really bugs me.Well not here.*AUGUST 2016 DRIVE BY SHOOTING OCCURRED AT 11pm. I was the one who called SAPD. The manager even confirmed it the week later at the apartment property that I work at. Shes friends with my manager so thats how we found out and she also said that there were billet holes in some buildings.* I get that crime is anywhere but my car was vandalized and my husband got his broken into 2 times...*If you hate noise, DO NOT MOVE HERE. We hear cars rev their engines day and night. On 3 occasions fights broke out in the parking lot because people sped through the community all the time.*The staff is slow.I put in my notice and they set me back a week early so I had to haggle with them to find an email showing otherwise. Also, the assistant Van-Michael didnt send the move out statement until 1 day before after I had asked for 2 months to get it.*The maintenance guy who was one of the first there was always helpful and the only one who actually does his job CORRECTLY.* on numerous occasions the complex changed rules about the pool and the gates and were completely out of line. *pictures in review
I agree the people in the office are VERY snooty & unhelpful. I spoke with a Debbie there regarding possible renting an apartment a few months ago& never heard back! Lucky for me I found a house closer to my job. I heard the Manager left as well. A good friend of mine lives here so I visit often. They have a lot of pests, people speed through the complex like theyre on a racetrack, and its loud. Not what anyone would expect for rent over $1K per month!
One of the neighbors broke my side mirror and I’ve spent a month and a half calling the office manager to get the dispute resolved. One of my neighbors submitted a written letter explaining she witnessed the event but nothing has been done until now. I’ve spoke to several residents and they’re all very unhappy with management and how they’re letting the apartment complex run down. People are breaking in, the gate doesn’t work most of the time, car parts are getting stolen or broken off, the hallways are extremely dirty, the lamps are falling off, there aren’t resident events anymore, it’s just a series of things that aren’t going well with the apartment complex.
I have never been to Texas prior to when I was searching for a place to live, but on Feb. 28, I flew to Texas to begin my search. When I landed, I immediately met with an apartment locator and started the apartment search. Dalian Monterrey Village was the second place I visited. When we arrived on site, the leasing agent didn’t speak to us (I really wish I had her name, but I don’t). We went into her office. She still didn’t speak to us. After a few minutes, she finally looked up from her computer and the locator told her what I was looking for. No questions were asked of me by the agent…why I was there, what I was looking for, what my budget was, etc. When we walked over to the unit, she didn’t speak to us then. She didn’t speak to the locator or I at all when inside the apartment. She was in the corner, by the door, and on her phone. She was not telling us about the unit - she literally said no words to us. At that point, I didn’t have any interest in moving to Dalian Monterrey Village. I then looked at her and asked if she wasn’t interested in showing apartments that day. Her explanation was that the next day was the first of the month. We walked back to the least office, she gave us the gym hours and pool hours, and handed us our IDs…no thank you for stopping by, no collecting my information, etc. I was completely speechless by the whole event. The locator and I left. In the parking lot of Dalian, he apologized for what just happened, and I decided in this property’s parking lot that I was going back to the first place I toured right then and there to put an application in. I don’t know if was because she didn’t think I was serious about moving to an apartment, she just didn’t care, or whatever else, but there was no excuse for that. I continued to tour a few more properties after that day, but at the risk of getting stuck at a property like Dalian, I knew an application had to be put in for another complex. I am still disgusted to this day by her actions and will forever view this community in that light. This was quite a “Welcome to Texas” and a completely unacceptable representation of a community.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO LIVE IN THESE APARTMENTS. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. DO NOT APPLY HERE! They are rude, nothing ever gets done, and they do not pick up your calls. Please do not come to this place, not recommended. In the 9 months I have lived here I am totally disappointed about everything that leads to these apartments, and unfortunately I signed a one year contract. Starting from our first day in this apartment we had just received our keys walked in and see the place was still all dirty, stained walls, spider webs all over the place and after so many complaints to the staff and not recieving a response we had to take care of all the problems ourself. P.S. we had walked the apartment two days prior and the head mantaincence man said they would have it all clean for us and a fresh paint job on the walls before we moved in.In our third month living in these apartments, we decided to spend a Sunday at the pool with our son. After a couple of hours we found a DEAD RAT floating in the pool filter. So our son was sick for a few days, with fever and vomiting. This was immediately notified to the property manager but they did not make any response about the situation nor show concern. The pool was still open and the rat was in the pool for another two days.On several occasions we found scorpions in our apartment, asking the maintance to come and look or spray and they tell us well we cant do anything about that. In my mind Im thinking well I guess they are just my new roommates. But it makes me so mad that they just say oh well to everything. The light fixtures are full of bugs, most of the lights in the parking lot are not working many areas leaving cars0 in the dark and thanks to this, two vehicles of our neighbors have been robbed of their Rims and Tires. And finally today at 7:00 pm when returning home after a day of work and get ready to have a family bike ride we see that our (2) Bicycles that we had in our patio have been stolen. I pay $1600.00 a month I cant have my bikes chained to my fence without them getting stolen. I mean why do we pay an extra couple hundred if I can go live in a cheaper apartment and get my belongings robbed. The Staff clearly does not care about anything just to get their money every month. Just going to their office to look for a package or to ask for their services of changing the filter of our a/c is literally a headache.Looking forward to the end of our contract to leave this place.I do not usually do Reviews, but this is needed to be known by anyone searching for an apartment. I want you to be aware of this place and the lack of concern they have for their tenants.I REPEAT I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO LIVE IN THESE APARTMENTS. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE.DO NOT APPLY HERE! Nothing ever gets done, and they do not pick up your calls. They are nasty , unsafe, lazy........ It never ends the bad comments about this place but you understand my point.
Please, for your safety and sanity. Don’t live here. It’s close to a not-so-good area. I put an application in here ($250 for deposit, app fee, and admin fee) and the NEXT day there was a shooting 9 minutes from this apartment. I feared for my safety, so I chose not to move forward. I tried to get my deposit back and they refused to help me. They seem very money hungry and not concerned about safety of tenants. Also, the price you pay here is for top notch apartments and you’re getting a tiny amount of square footage. I ended up moving into a different apartment and it’s way bigger, nicer, and safer, for the same price. Please PLEASE don’t live here.
The staff is wonderful and helpful they respond quickly and do the best they can with any request and issues. Were very happy here and respect there rules. To have something nice you must take care of the place you live at...freedom to enjoy comes with a price but trashing that freedom you pay the price! So bottom line ...take care of your home area & Respect the Staff were in one community. Thanks Dalian Monterrey Village Management and staff!
To Lease Agent, Maria Torres:I cannot express enough gratitude towards your service. You were extremely quick with responses to questions I had concerning availability and rates. You were very diligent in ensuring you had accurate information & you reached out to me directly as soon as approval came back on the application. I thank you very much for your assistance in securing a lease.
Management can be very unprofessional and rude. They cant work with you, it seems like a bother to them. The maintenance team doesnt care about anything but a paycheck. They take there time to get to go fix the problem in your apartment but when they do. Dam they do a half ass job at repairing what is wrong. One resident had a cracked pipe in the wall, it took maintenance a loooong time to get to it and when they finally did, the leaking water had already did damage to the sheet rock before they got to it. There are scorpions on the premises and Ive notified management and they say pest control will be out on there next monthly visit. Then i went back and notified them about black widows by the staircase and nothing. All you get is the runaround at this place. One resident almost got the news involved because of how fed up this person was with this place and how they operate here. But you know they fixed that roblem right away. They woo you with modern stainless steel appliances and nice cabinets and amenities like pool n dog park. They sweet talk you and paint a pretty picture but all you will get is head aches, frustration and lies from here. This place is so bad, Ive seen people leaving after a few days of moving in. Please do yourself a favor and keep looking pass this place. I read reviews about this place but decided to take a chance, man i was wrong. So in all the amount that you pay to live here, (which aint cheap by a long shot) aint worth the problems that you will experience the longer you live here, what a joke this place is!!! Spend your hard earned money else where.
Ever since the new staff has taken over the apartment complex has good down hill. Gate hardly ever stays fixed and have seen multiple break ins on peoples cars. Maintenance always arms to get put off and work orders seem to disappear. Even worse when there has been an emergency with a leak nobody comes four hours and then try to make excuses when the building itself has a problem. My family hates living here because of nothing getting done and on top of that they dont ever take care of noise complaints when it happens almost every day. The staff absolutely is terrible except one maintenance guy. Will never suggest anyone to live here.
If you’re looking for a nice clean apartment complex this is not the apartment you want. Management does a horrible job of keeping the complex clean even after 3 times of myself complaining to them. They do not care and for paying 1200$ for a one bedroom management should take complaint’s seriously. Very frustrating when I have to see this every day. I’ve emailed them multiple times to clean up the mess and no response. So go look somewhere for another apartment. Very dirty apartment complex.
Horrible customer service from Danielle Coronado! Omg as soon as I get into the leading office she didn’t greet, very rude and unprofessional. She’s not even the manager, what to expect from such a nice place. My recommendation for her, please get some good customer service skills training or quit because this job definable it’s not for you! Please manager have this in consideration for future people to come in to the leasing office. We expecting friendly and nice staff members!
Horrible leasing experience to say the least during COVID-19. Poor management and communication with potential leaders. I applied to this place on a Monday morning and had a move in date of Friday. I received no communication from the complex the rest of Monday. I patiently waited until the Tuesday morning to see if I would receive something from them and still hadn’t received anything so I ended up having to call them and request information for the move in. While on the phone I requested to see the place I applied for in person and they told me they could only send me a video weds morning because cleaners where in the unit which I agreed to due to covid restrictions. Finally later Tuesday evening I received some documents through email but NO ONE called to explain the process of leasing with them, no welcome, or anything else of that matter. Weds morning arrives and I still don’t receive the video or or any phone call from them but I do continue to receive random emails from them such as the lease and updater to do other things such as cps energy, mail, etc. I call again weds morning and request the video. I am told that they will tell their manager Danielle an d she will send it to me later that day. who was suppose to get back to me that day. I never received the video. Thursday now arrives and I call them in the afternoon to request the video once again, this is the day before my move. In. At this point I am furious with the whole lack of communication and poor management. Thursday evening I receive a call from Danielle telling me I need to sign the lease and update my renters insurance. That is ALL she told me, she did not even mention the video that I had been requesting all week, she did not welcome me to the apartments, nothing. That was the first call I received in the whole leasing experience and it was less than 30 secs. Friday morning arrives (that I was suppose to move in) and I receive a call addressing that they can now do a virtual tour. At this point I have made my final decision that I will not be moving there. When I called on Saturday to request a refund I was told to send them an email to do so. I received a call from Danielle on Saturday that I missed due to having to move in to another apartment complex (Citadel at Westpointe SO MUCH BETTER) the same day I leased. Their office was closed Sunday so by Monday morning I sent an email requesting the refund. I don’t receive a response. Tuesday morning I call and receive no answer. I physically go to the office to speak to someone about this and I’m assuming the lady I spoke to in person was Danielle (she said she called me) and she told me the application fee ($50) and admin fee ($100) was all non refundable due to me choosing not to move in. This experience and lack of service is disgusting. I had to chase after this complex to get leased. They lied consistently saying that would send a video and everyday I called they didn’t. Before I chose to apply to them they were the only complex out of 10 I was looking at to never send me any information on what floor plans were available, etc. Nonetheless, horrible experience! Saved yourself the trouble and move to CITADEL AT WESTPOINTE where they make your process streamlined, smooth and very informative!
Lovely complex with airy, spacious apartments. Only problem I’ve had is that there was a roach infestation from moldy food that I found in one of the drawers on move in day. Still trying to get rid of the roaches, but it is very easy to make a pest control appointment. Once we do, it will be perfect.
Seriously dont understand how people are rating the apartments so low. Office staff is fantastic, friendly, and accommodating. (Shout out to Cheyenne and Debbie). Ive been here since August and have not had any issues outside of disrespectful neighbors who dont know how to park, drive too fast around the complex, run into or break the entrance gates, or dont pick up their dogs feces... But these incidents are isolated between a small select few residents, and overall it is a very nice community with great amenities and neighbors. The walls are thin, but that is common.
I just want to start with saying that DEBBIE LOPEZ is awesome ! She doesn’t make you feel unwanted in any way ! While apartment hunting I have visited over 10 different places and some people seemed like they don’t really care about you but Debbie does the opposite ! She’s very professional but also a friend which made my decision super easy ! She helped SO much and can’t thank her enough ! She’s a solid 10/10 !
I am extremely happy with my move into the Dalian Monterrey Village. Very nice amenities and great interior designs. My family loves the pool and cabana area which are very modernized and kept up too par. The staff really did bend over backwards to help me out and I highly recommend these apartments to anyone in the market. Thank you Danae and Thomas for making the transition very easy and enjoyable..
I am truly disgusted with this apartment complex & very disappointed, as I’ve been living here for over a year now. I renewed my lease earlier this year, because I genuinely pleased with the customer service & thought this was a military friendly business. I recently received orders to PCS & was told by the front desk that although I can terminate my lease early without a “penalty” (which is written in the law—see the Service Members Civil Relief Act), I would have to pay back the discounts I received since I renewed my lease, which totals out to be almost $1000. Which, by the way, is more than my monthly rent. So not only am I expected to pay a full month’s rent, although I am only staying halfway through the month, I am also expected to pay $1000 on top of that. Which equals about $2000.This is not only a smack in the face to me, but a smack in the face to those who serve. When I asked for more information, the only thing I got back was, “Well it’s in your contract.” Just because it’s in a contract, DOES NOT make it right. When I initially chose the Dalian, I picked it because they bragged about being military friendly. Their rates (with the military discount) were hard to beat & the apartments are nice. However, had I known that I ran the risk of having to pay back the discounts I received if I got orders, I wouldn’t have come here.I am not the first military member to be hit like this, if you look up their reviews online (which I should’ve done before renewing my lease), you can see reviews on how they’ve shafted others as well. This is an extremely slimy way to do business and the folks who run this place should be ashamed of themselves. The addendum in their contract targets military members. They can’t penalize us for terminating our lease because it’s against the law, so they found a way around it. Considering I’ve recommended three people to this complex, all of whom are military, & two of whom are using the military discount—none of them were aware of this!! If you’re going to boast about your military discounts, you need to be upfront about what is in the lease. ALL of it.So thank you Dalian at Monterry Village, for spitting in my face as a military member & making my PCS expensive & hell. I will be letting everyone I work with NOT to stay here & I’m taking this to the base housing office so they can spread the word. I hope that all military members who stay here aren’t hit with unexpected orders & have to terminate their lease early because they will make you pay for something that’s TOTALLY out of your hands.
The new staff here is so incredibly crappy. I moved out 3 months ago and was supposed to receive my deposit refund 1 month after move out. When a month passed and I hadnt heard anything I went in to see about the refund, I was told my check must have gotten lost in the shuffle of the change in staff but should receive the check in the mail for a full refund. It then took over another month of me repeatedly calling them and going in multiple times before I got the refund. And it wasnt a full refund as they had assured me originally! No one EVER called me back concerning the matter and each time I talked with them I had to re-explain the whole situation because they never recalled or cared of my issue with them. Also, they NEVER pick up the phone!! Example: I called three times in a row with no answer. I was calling from my car (bluetooth)only 2 min away so I went to the office to speak in person. When I walked in I saw THREE staff members doing absolutely nothing! One was even having cake in her office with the mattenice staff. In conclusion, the worst apartments Ive experienced in my life.
Have lived here for going on 3 years, if you move in don’t expect maintenance to get anything done, I have dealt with a leaking washing machine for almost 3 months now that keeps getting put off and we call weekly about the situation. I don’t plan on renewing.
YOU DO NOT WANT TO LIVE HERE. It is very expensive for what it is, although you do get cool amenities. Management (except for Debbie - she was great!) always seems to be snappy and rude. You arent even allowed to decorate the way you want. If they dont approve of whats on your balcony, you will be fined. You are also REQUIRED to pay an additional $30 per month for trash service when there is a dumpster inside the complex. Apart from that, there is ALWAYS someone being loud by the pool late at night and nothing ever seems to get done about it until two hours after the fact. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself some time and get a three bedroom house for less than what you will pay here.
My vehicles were vandalized and when I tried talking to the office about getting out of my lease due to my wife and I not feeling safe they were rude stating I was unable to get out of my lease cause we had a contract. When I asked what’s the point of having gates or key codes or key fobs when the gate is always open Danielle said it’s was due to people hitting the gate and they have to call someone to fix it. I pay 1100 for a one bedroom on the third floor. Then they stated that we have security drive around the complex and not once in the last year have I seen a security guard drive around
Is a okay complex, leasing office ladies are very rude & not helpful at all. I was at the pool & restrooms are always locked & when I asked if they can open them they gave attitude & said my apartment is close by. I pay rent here & would like an open restroom. Will not be renewing my lease here.
This property is amazing! I highly recommend living here! Communication is very important to me, so anytime I have questions or concerns I dont have to worry because they are answered in a timely manner. The staff is outstanding and theyre very helpful/knowledgeable about the property. Ashley Gonzales has helped me multiple times and she never seems to disappoint! Very thorough and enthusiastic when working with her!
I’ve lived in this community for 2 years since they were brand spankin new, there’s definitely been changes with management and leasing personnels but one particular that I want to point out is Matthew. He was very understanding and transparent with my questions and concerns. Now to the property, the upkeep isn’t how it use to be but that comes with more apartments being filled which means more residents, more traffic equaling more mess..especially if people don’t pick up behind themselves. The front main entrance gate is broken most of the time, and the walls are thin. Overall, the amenities are nice and the area is ok a lot of traffic due to schools and shopping centers close by. If your reading this review I’d say check it out be open and express any concerns and ask any questions especially because this will be the place you call home. Good luck!
Love Maria and Debbie! They work so hard and are amazing at their job and I love living here even more because of these 2 amazing women!
Living at Dalian Monterey Village for the pass three years has been awesome. The office staff is awesome and Maria is the best. She always helps me out when I need something done...
I was really satisfied this apartment , but unfortunately, I also have not gotten back the deposit check. I moved out on September 6th and until now i got nothing. It is also to hard to talk with managers because they do not response my call.Update:I have received nothing.Today is Dec 7.
My experience at Dalian has been very good. Ive never had any problems with neighbors and the staff has been very polite always. They are always quick to fix any problems.
I moved here since May and am still a current resident sadly. But when I first came in to apply to be a resident here, Olivia, one of the people working here showed me the apartments and it was gorgeous, everything was clean, spotless, and working. She kind of wasted my time and was somewhat forgetful with things but I let it passed me. I shouldve known then that this place was GARBAGE and still is to this day. When I first moved into my current apartment the oven was dented and the fridge was dented as if someone had taken a crowbar and smashed it and the ventilation was popped out of the wall in the bathroom. Later on, the sink was clogged and whenever I drained the water it flowed into my dishwasher creating this disgusting smell. I had to clean it out with my bare hands because the dishwasher doesnt even work properly. Not only that but I also found ants that crawled into my bed from the window and scorpions running amuck.I tried to call in to get it under controlled but whenever I do they were so hard to reach. And guess what? My oven and stovetop doesnt even work. Like wth. I am so busy all the time I never have the time to come in. Whenever I place a work order to have my things fixed it gets worst. Not only that but I tried calling in today to see if a package was delivered to my apartment and no one picked up. Today I happen to have time to go in and when I did no one greated me. They just walked right passed me. So I popped into the employees room and saw a gentleman and I asked him if there was anyone that could tend to me and he gave me this frustrated facial expression and angrily told me no you would have to wait for those people. When I walked out and said ok, he walked out and slammed the door behind him. I called in again to see if anyone would pick up and I saw all the calls being ignored and not tended to. Like they didnt have a second to pick up the phone and say that they were busy and theyll tend to the call soon. I would give this place negative stars if I could. Please please PLEASE do not apply to live here if you want to live comfortably.
Great place! Saby and Danielle are both super sweet, very helpful and have great customer service. Saby was extremely helpful from the get go. She gave me a tour and was able to answer all my questions. She made choosing Dalian really easy. Danielle helped with finalizing my paperwork and made that process much more smoother.
MILITARY BEWARE: while Active Duty Air Force, I moved out of these apartments on December 15th of 2017 after getting PCS orders. I gave the front office 30+ days notice with orders in early November and paid my $1100 rent for December, and then left a SPOTLESS apartment behind. I never received my deposit back and I just now, 2 and a half years later, received a notification from a collections agency stating that I owe $4108 without any supporting documentation from Dalian Monterrey Village.According to the Service Member Civil Relief act, a military member can vacate their lease if 30 days notice is given alongside a copy of orders or written notice for a deployment or a permanent change of station. They are aware of this law because while I was living there they had a blown up poster board with that specific section of the SCRA posted in one of the leasing offices. The apartments and amenities are lovely, but they have an unprofessional and unorganized back office.
I actually dont live there ...not yet anyway. I did tour the property and different floor plans. I was really impressed with quality and area. The staff i have dealt with are great as well. San Antonio has alot of properties to choose from but Dalian just sticks out above the rest for me for all the right reasons; location, quality and customer service. Yes every place has its flaws. You really just have to out weighall pros and cons.
Okay so I don’t live here but my boyfriend does and he’s been very happy since he moved in. However I went to give his dog a bath last night at the dog park and the washing station was absolutely DISGUSTING. The plastic mat laid at the bottom is covered in slime and calcium, there was three inches of green water sitting in it full of mosquitoes and larve, the drain was clogged with black funk and dog fur, there’s a warm water option but it only gives freezing cold water and there was a damn frog skeleton under the plastic mat. I understand it’s common curtesy for people to clean it AFTER using it, but this thing looked like it hadn’t been used, let alone cleaned in years. I spent almost an hour fishing out dog hair and mud and frog bones before just rinsing off our dog and didn’t even bother putting that disgusting mat back in it. This complex is “pet friendly” so why not keep something that is used to keep our animals clean, CLEAN?! Especially in a place like this, a dog wash station in that bad of condition can and will spread parvo, staph, cause utis along with multiple bacterial and fungal diseases. Either put in effort to keep the station clean, put up a sign for residents to sanitize after use, get a better filtrated station or just plain and simple get rid of it. That is definitely one cause of the mosquito problem here and can be a main cause of a disease and infection outbreak God forbid one were to happen.I am not maintenance, I shouldn’t have to clean a sickly, mosquito and bacterial infested wash station for y’all. Especially since I don’t even live here. But I’ll gladly clean it again AND will complain again since obviously no one cares about the health of the canine residents here.
Realtors Beware!!!! If you refer a client to this apartment complex you can expect not to get paid for your services. I referred a client in June 2016. Client took possession in August 2016. As per their request, I registered as a vendor and submitted an invoice. Ive called, followed up, resent invoice, spoken with office personnel, left numerous messages for management. All I get is the run around!!! They say they are between managers, they lost their manager, they have different managers from their affiliate offices filling in. Blah, Blah, Blah!!!! You get the drift. So, basically they never know which manager will be in the office at any given time. Hence, the run around. Ive heard it all!!! To this day no one has had the courtesy to follow up with me regarding payment for services rendered. Needless to say, this organization will not be receiving any more referrals from me.My message to all fellow Realtors is, refer at your own risk.
Just moved in yesterday. Debbie has been very accommodating with everything that we need. She went beyond her job and we’re really satisfied. Maria has been super nice as well.
I went by this past weekend because I was looking for apartments and I was helped by Debbie. Let me tell you guys this woman was patient ( had a lot of questions), she egger to help and on top of everything she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in my new home. AMAZING SERVICE!!!
Deborah and Maria have been so kind and helpful. They were able to answer any questions we had every time we called/emailed and made sure we were well taken care of, which made us confident in choosing this complex.
All of the staff are very friendly and available for assistance. It is a comfortable community with a ton of great amenities, including the pool and work out area. The complex is always clean and am happy that they hired security to ensure the residents safety.
Maria Torres was amazing, she made us feel welcomed and made the process so easy! Community is well taken care and the apartment is very modern!
My roommates and I had an awful experience at another apartment complex and Maria Torres was so AMAZING!! She made the process so easy for us to move in and helped us out with no problem.
I also have not got my deposit as of june 23 2018. Ive tried numerous times with different workers. No call backs. Ive shown face as well. Nothing. I held my end up on the deal. I bet if i owed money to the apartment complex they would had reported me.
Stressful experience but Sabrina and Maria helped us out tremendously and made the whole process easy, especially Maria
Im an apartment locator in San Antonio. The staff at Dalian Monterrey is kind, friendly and proactive in making the guest feel at home when they arrive to the property. I had the pleasure to work with Saby (Leasing Agent), she gave an insight to the property and made my clients decision 10xs easier. She went above and beyond :). Dalian Monterrey was a beautiful property in a great location in San Antonio.
DO NOT APPLY HERE! They are rude, nothing ever gets tend to, and they dont pick up your calls. Everything in this apartment is broken and I placed in work orders but am sad to see that they dont even care. They just pop in and out and say that they tend to things already. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY HERE IF YOU WANT TO FEEL COMFORTABLE IN YOUR OWN HOME.
Maria, was absolutely FANTASTIC! She was very helpful and attentive and was able to tend to my concerns and needs Asap!I would definitely recommend Dalian Monterrey Village Apartments and Maria is a KEEPER!😊
Love the apartments, staff is always friendly and nice. The downside is the parking space but thats pretty much a given with three story apartments, and plus you can just pay for your reserved parking if its a big deal.
After living here for about 4 months and finally being settled in I can honestly say I love it here the staff is friendly the maintenance is very prompt the apartment complex is kept pretty clean and the amenities are awesome ! I got my 2 bed 2 bath for a amazing price and can’t complain!!!
New tenant’s here and love it so far. Maria has also been a great help to us with all of our questions. Highly recommend.
Grounds are kept clean but the way they do trash service is disgusting hallways are nasty,no one picks up after their dogs over priced not impressed. Was only there for a visit,I personally would not ever live there.
I was a resident in APT # 5312I left about 3 months ago more or lessAnd until now I didn’t receive my deposit back I tried many times to get a simple answer from the office “when I’m gonna have my deposit?”No body help me to answer that questionI sent an email with my new address more than once with the sample question as well noOne email me back?So I would like to have an answer for my question and I want everyone knew about my experience with Dalian
So far it’s been been great! I have no complaints just parking at night can be rough never any spots. Other then that very nice neighbors, great community ☺️
Honestly, this place is awesome! I was recommended here by friends and I don’t regret it I needed to move in fast and they accommodated everything and helped me out so much. Bonnie Smith assisted with all of my questions and eased the move and saved me from so many headaches! Again, awesome place. Recommend 10/10.-Jarelly Rios
Debbie and Maria was the main reason why I decided to call Dalian my home! Not only are the apartments beautiful inside and out, they made me feel at home from the moment I walked in!
They dont return you back the deposit and its not safe many ropreis ... run away from this property
Property upkeep is horrible and never any parking. The girls in office are terrible especially Danielle. Last time I spoke with her she was so rude. I will not be renewing my lease here.
Been here less then 6 months and my car was broken into 2x already! This place is so ghetto! Why am I paying so much and there’s no security or anything!
I am a current resident have not had issues so far, currently sitting along the pool at 8:00pm drinking a beer and eating hot dogs provide by the complex. I love it.
They have told me that I will receive my deposit after one month from the date that I will give them the apartment and now it is more than a year and still have not received the deposit and they are ignoring my emails and even the manager ignoring my emails
We lived her for 21 months , we definitely loved our 2 bedroom i can only say good things about the dalian Monterrey village , my two year old calls it home and he misses his home , we moved because of work but definitely wished we couldve stayed , maintenance is awsome and front office always on point , loved the gym when it was open 😭 were sad to go but thank you Dalian Monterrey ❤
Mrs. Maria was very helpful and completely awesome with my move in process and I thank her so much cause I was stressed lol😂
Best experience ever in a tour. Maria, is very attentive and answer all my questions. She is the reason I apply.
Love this place got my best apartments me and my girlfriend love it.. it’s home for us never want to leave when I do it because I got a house already. I already renew lease because it stay my rate
Debbie Lopez helped us out in a short notice due to not having a place in the city and when we weren’t able to apply the correct way she made sure we got it fixed and got everything taken care of !
Im currently in the process of finding a new place to live. My roommate tried calling this place, but they hung up on him THREE TIMES. If the office staff is this unprofessional to potential renters, then theres no way they treat the people who live here well at all.
They made becoming a resident so painless! I love the resident portal and the extra features. Very happy with the service I got with this apartment complex.
READ THIS BEFORE SIGNING!!!!!....Gym is pathetic.... 1 out of 3 treadmills only work and with that 1 treadmill u can only speed up and pray to God after that cuz there is no way to slow it down..... .. Maintenance team closes out work order without completing the job... 4 or 5 jobs are in for the maintenance team to come and fix it... them things are still not fix and its been over a year .... because of housing around the apartment complex good luck with the pool area..... pool area is always full of non residence.... paying 1400+ for a carboard box with no security cuz breakage into apartments is a thing even in a gated community in broad day light.... animal poop will be laying around the apartments complex like no big deal..... dogs in the balcony will constantly be barking through out the day... cant even have a walk with your family without being barked at..... stylish apartments with low quality.. 50 things that are wrong with the apartments... cant list all of them.....APARTMENTS SHOULD BE LISTED AT 1000 WITH ALL THESE PROBLEMS!!!!!!
Debbie Lopez was very helpful and knowledgeable about the community. Took care of my maintenance request. Highly recommend my new community!!
The apartments are great, the amenities are excellent. The size of the 3 bedroom apartments makes it feel like its your own house, couldnt have made a better choice
Weve had an overall great experience so far! The staff is very helpful and friendly. My husband and I feel safe and comfortable here!
Everything has been fine so far moved in a week ago and havr not had any problems. Would recommend this place to anyone. The staff has been great along with the maintenance staff especially Fabian
How they make you pay for pest control but only spray if you request it? How you pay for trash pickup but never get your garbage picked up? This place is scamming.
I lived here 3 months.First day i stopped here in 15 FEB 2018, they told me if you bring any customer you will get 500$ and i brought 2 of my frinds to live here, unfortunately i left and until now i didnt get my money ( referral Check) and they are trying to postpone, everyday they say something different to me, also they didnt give me my deposit back and now they dont answer my call, they are greediness
This place is amazing!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for their first place or looking to move from where they are currently at. The staff and maintenance crew are courteous and prompt with everything. I wish I would have found this place sooner!!!!
It’s not bad, but the leasing office needs to give more attention to the apartment building hallways the floors are very dirty and dark, light fixtures need to be changed and fixed they are all over the floors in the hallways.
This place sucks they never answered phones calls they changed always take forever to do work orders but they are very good in charging you for every little thing and they always blaming corporate office
The best place to live. She pays attention to your need and she help me solved my problem. Thank you Maria Torres for helping me
Thankyou maria for making things easier, And for the great welcoming, And the excellent handling .things were so difficult for us to get an apartment but maria made it easy and helped us👌👌👌👌
We love our community! We love that there is a security guard, walking the property every single night!
A huge shoutout to Kayla from apartment locater and Sabrina from the leasing office they were so great helping find and move into this amazing apartment
The maintenance staff is so great! Jésus did everything possible to get my AC fixed as quickly as possible.
Had a great experience with the staff especially Maria Torres, she helped us throughout the whole process and made it easy.
All personal were very professional.
I mostly had a good experience living here, except for the monthly water bill, I’ve never had to pay so much anywhere else, they are definitely overcharging.
🚨🚨 Be carful First off all they charged me 895 for the deposit I don’t know why until now I move out from this complex on September 20 I called them every week to ask for my deposit check then they got from my deposit 200 also I kept the apartment clean the very bad thing we are now on November until now I haven’t received anything from them when I called them they said we will call you back and no one calls me back I don’t recommend this place at all.🚨🚨
Love the events, the staff is very understanding and helpful. Military friendly, pet friendly. Great place to live.
