The Estates at Talise de Culebra by Meritage Homes

Stay away and dont be lured in with a lower electric bill. These houses are very cheaply built. We had a nightmare during the building process and it has now continued over into the warranty process.We identified several problems with our home during the walkthrough and were promised they would be fixed before the final walkthrough, the day before closing. When we showed up to the final walkthrough the house was trashed, nothing was fixed, their was mud all over the floors/carpet, and the walls had marks all over them from the tradesmen making repairs to the doors. They threatened to keep our deposit if we didnt close and we had already put in notice at our other home.We were assured by corporate that everything would be fixed within the first weeks of being in the house and they would even give us a free home cleaning. After we closed it was a different story, we are still waiting on parts for the cabinets three months later.As previously stated the yards are horribly graded and their is stagnant water near the house, that has begun to smell. The craftsmanship is subpar on everything from the hardwood flooring installation to the crown moulding install.The second reason to stay away is their abhorrent warranty process. We submitted a warranty claim on 6 April for two major roof leaks in our garage and after four visits and 18 hours of missed work the leaks are not fixed, the drywall is now falling down, and there is mold on the beams in the attic space above the garage.The warranty rep does not care that people are missing work to babysit their tradesmen to fix a problem they created, by not doing it right the first time. I am not sitting and waiting for a crew to show up to try once again to fix it. The previous attempts were not successful, because not one person has actually crawled into the attic to see where the leak is coming from they guessed and changed a few shingles.I will add that this is the third brand new home I have bought in San Antonio and this is by far the worst quality and experience.They are in alamo ranch so they raised their prices, but its a subpar built home with an alamo ranch sticker price.

These are the model homes for my neighborhood. I love them and we built here 😊 Talise de Culebra is a lovely, neighborhood with great views.
