Crime wave at this apartment complex. Ask management about crime at this complex. Of course, theyll lie to you. No one thinks it will happen to them until it does. Ive seen dozens of break-ins. Remember, you were warned so youll have no one to blame but yourself. Management will pile onto your misery by getting your car towed so youll have hundreds of dollars more in costs, besides your wheels that have been stolen. See attached photo. Please go back in the reviews and read about stolen cars and wheels. Fake posts about how wonderful the complex is, is probably written by management.

I had the pleasure of leasing my apartment with Amber. She was thorough and pleasant to work with. In addition, upon near move-in, my apartment had a floor issue and within a two days the entire living room and bathroom floor were totally replaced with new flooring. She has been very responsive to all my concerns and requests. Lastly, the property itself is very well maintained by a responsive maintenance staff.

I have lived at Boardwalk MedCenter for almost 2 years and have nothing but good to say honestly. The best part is the relationship between staff and myself. They are nice and personable; but also have no bs.. not to mention their maintenance staff are the best Ive ever experienced. They wave and say hello in passing which makes you feel like a part of the community and is super personable. Additionally, they are extremely quick with responding to emergencies (24hours!) and for routine stuff like your ac filters can be changed within 24-48 hours of the request.

I had a great experience living here. The units are beautiful, and the overall complex is very well maintained. Maintenance and management are well prepared and always on top of things.Pros:-Great and very convenient location.-Beautiful units.-Upgraded appliances.-Great amenities, beautiful pool.-You do feel like you are getting what you are paying.-The complex is very clean and looks beautiful during each season.Cons:-Parking is decent but sometimes hard to find (as most places).-It is sometimes difficult to reach the front desk or for the front desk to get back to you but when they do they are quick to find solutions/answer questions.Honestly, this complex is worth looking into.

I did enjoy living here for the most part, up until the current management staff took over. The young lady that greets you as you walk in needs to be a little more professional, she’s a carryover from the previous management. The one person that was easy to talk to and got things done was Carmen, and she’s no longer there. I had to install a monitored alarm system, Simply Safe, so that I would feel comfortable, as I was away from home often. I began to notice how often they entered my apartment without a 24 - 48 hour notice, for non emergency reasons. Even when I was home, they would wait until I left and then go in, when the police started showing up, they asked me for my code and I refused. They change maintenance men to often for me to feel comfortable giving them my code. I lived there from 11/2019 to 01/2024 and during this period my rent was late once and for reasons beyond my control. The last year my daughter was diagnosed with Lupus and she came to live with me, management was still on me for my alarm code, and I still wasn’t about to give up that code, especially now with an ill child at home in a weakened vulnerable condition. The current manager then began to retaliate against me for my refusal. When I moved out, they had my bill in less than 24 hours. I left the apartment cleaner then when I moved in. They tried charging me for normal wear and tear on the carpet. I videoed the apartment prior to exiting and they tried charging me $769. They have added negative items on my good rental history, retaliation once again for my refusal to the manager. When I moved in, there was a 75% of medical workers residing there, most left when one day 7-8 relatively new pickup trucks were sitting on blocks. This manager has a way of talking down to you, rather then talking to you and this causes problems. Problems I’ve had; the kitchen sink fell, drawers in the guest bathroom fell thru, improperly installed appliances. For the most part,

This is by far one of the worst apartment complexes I’ve ever lived in. The assistant manager and the management staff are just there to collect a paycheck and make zero effort to provide support. My car was STOLEN from right outside my building three weeks ago and all the help/response I got from the management was “that’s horrible, take it up with the police”. Ridiculous. Don’t expect a lot of safety in this property. The management spends an insane amount of time persecuting inconsequential things like items on patios but make no effort to attend important stuff like preventing residents from having dogs unleashed inside the property. We even had a pack of stray dogs inside the complex attacking some of the local dogs on several occasions and all they did was send an email and tell residents to call the city for help. You can expect a weekly dose of unnecessary emails with either closure notices or threats that if you do something against their policy you will get fined. Also, don’t trust the information on the emails because they’ll keep sending the same version of the email with completely wrong and outdated information without even proof-reading it (yup, it’s that confusing). Example of that is them sending out an email explicitly saying that you could pay with personal check or cashiers check before the 4th of the month but then backtracking what the email said and refusing to take payment unless is done through their very own ONLY payment website. The pool and gym are just randomly closed “for maintenance” and you never really know if they’re open or even working. The gym has very basic and worn down equipment. The pool is fine if you manage to find it open. They also advertise a “dog spa” and a car wash on their website. Neither of those have actually worked for the past 4 months and receive no maintenance at all. They recently changed their payment portal to something called BILT and they force you to pay through it. The website is very clearly a DATA MINING company that will magically already have all your credit cards information on file “for your convenience”, not fishy at all. There’s no opt out option so you’re pretty much screwed.Speaking of no opt-out options, you’re forced to pay a “trash-butler” for 25 bucks a month even if your unit is right in front of the dumspter. And god-forbid your unit has the “smart home upgrade” installed, because you’ll be forced to pay an extra 50 dollars every month for having a PIN code deadbolt, a thermostat and ONE wireless light switch that you have to go to their website every time you want to turn on or off lol.In summary, expect an overpriced apartment with a lot of inaccessible or useless amenities and lots of forced charges. Staff that is either unable or unwilling to help and don’t forget to expect a long list of random charges when you move out, so make sure you take pictures of EVERYTHING when you move in. Or better yet, don’t even bother moving in here.

I cannot say enough good things about this apartment complex! My apartment is absolutely stunning and spacious, the buildings have been repainted and are beautiful. The best thing of all is the wonderful staff and maintenance! My nephew locked me out of the apartment one afternoon while I had to run the the car to grab groceries and maintenance climbed to the 2nd floor opened the backdoor and opened the front door within 5 mins!! The staff has been overwhelming kind and patient, they are a breath of fresh air! If I could give them more stars I would!!

I have lived here over a month so far and I have to say it has been a pretty bad experience. When we first moved in we had german cockroaches in our apartment and we found a melted balloon attached to the ceiling fan. Now we have maintenance requests that have not been completed and its been over a month since we sent the request in. Its been so long that the system has deleted the maintenance request and they dont even show up online anymore.I even went to the front office and told them and the front office said they would let maintenance know, that was over a week ago. My back porch light has been broken ever since move in and the blinds in my room have been broken for over 3 weeks. God forbid an emergency happens which requires a prompt maintenance response.I would not recommend these apartments to anyone that values a competent maintenance team that completes work orders in under 3 weeks. Before moving here I lived at the Firewheel Apartments right next door, it was a much better experience.

Zero stars. Me and my husband have lived here a little over 3 years in a 3rd floor apartment. We decided to “upgrade“ to a first floor apartment that’s bigger and had an attached yard for our dog. And all we’ve gotten is endless disappointment, frustration and just pure anger. First and foremost our vehicle was broken into twice here and stolen completely once. They did not care. Yeah sure they’re not responsible I get that but still. They did absolutely nothing. Our new place was filthy and roach infested when we moved in. Everything was broken and needed to replaced. The whole apartment needs to be re caulked, looks like a 2 year old did it. Roaches got taken care of for the most part but we would still see them coming from the vents. We tried to explain to the office people that the people above probably have roaches too , but they said they didn’t see any activity which is highly unlikely but whatever. And the clueless lady working in the office that took over from Carmen was no help. They reached out to have someone clean the vents which is totally useless but okay. Now the guy that showed up to clean the vents said our ac vent needed to be cleaned and sanitized. We went to the office and they said “ well it needs to be approved to get cleaned”. Make it make sense , ITS A HEALTH HAZARD. I’m highly allergic to dust and this is so unacceptable

Only giving one star as 0 is not an option. I was a resident of boardwalk med center for 8 years. I never had any issues with the complex or management up until the current group came over July of 2021. At the time it was under alliance with Manuel as the manager, shortly after my fridge was replaced, and the water line was defective in turn flooding my entire apartment. I went to the office to ask for help, and was shocked by the treatment that I received. I was told that repairs would be completed and they took multiple weeks to do so, when I was finally able to return to the complex, there were still issues and I was told by Manuel that he was sorry he couldn’t “appease” me, when in reality all I asked for was my apartment to be back in the state it was. Eventually this got resolved, and the assistant manager Carmen was able to help with any other concerns that arose. No one cleans up after their dogs, the grounds are a mess, people have broken into cars among other issues. The grills at the pool (which we paid amenity fees for) were broken from may to October, though we were told it would be two weeks. Fast forward to end of August, we decided that our time had come to an end and finally found the house of our dreams. I mentioned multiple issues of leaks and mold, and then when I brought these up again, the suddenly came to check and repair the issues after we had already moved out. Shortly after paying the term fees and etc, I receive an email from Rosa the new assistant telling me I have a balance and a late fee, I asked her to explain it to me, because the portal they request we use has no balance, she was combative, short, rude and clueless. I finally got into contact again with Manuel, and thought we had found a resolution. After multiple emails and attempts I finally got resolution and an email that my deposit refund was in the mail. Only to find out that they report your rental history to the credit bureau, and when you move out, it will affect your credit score. Nowhere in my lease or any of my documents was I notified of this. They have definitely done some improvements to the property itself that have been promised for a long time, but it’s the people that work in the office that you need to watch out for, the only helpful person left there since Carmen left is Amber. Please do yourself a favor and save yourself a giant headache of moving into this place 10 out of 10 would not recommend.

I have called Boardwalk Medcenter my home since 2020, and I can say wholeheartedly that this is the best community I’ve ever lived in.The property is full of greenery and is well-maintained, the units are well-built and modern, and the staff is exemplary. I have not once heard any noise from any of my neighbors, and the location lends itself to a cozy feel.On top of all this, the maintenance staff is without a doubt the best I have encountered. Pablo goes above and beyond to resolve any issues you have. Just today I had an issue with my microwave, and not only did he come out within an hour, but he took the initiative to replace several lights and air filter. If you’re in the market for a new apartment complex, I would recommend you stop by Boardwalk and take a look at one of their units. I have lived at Boardwalk Med Center for over 3 years now. During this time I lived in a 3rd story apartment to which I never really had any issues. Then I decided to upgrade to a bigger apartment on the first floor.Upon moving into this new apartment I asked to see the place like a few days before I moved in but was told they were working on it so I couldnt be let in. Then the day of moving I moved my stuff in and was dumbfounded. Before moving out of my old place I had to have an inspection done to make sure it was livable and was told we had to clean the place or we would have to pay a cleaning deposit.BUT upon entering my new apartment building, I am greeted by uncleanliness that looks like a cleaning crew came in here and did pretty much nothing. Whether it be playdo or gum stuck to the hardwood floor, drawings on the baseboards, unclean mirrors, and not to mention the damages like holes in the baseboards everywhere, broken drawers more. But to top it all off an infestation of German roaches in my kitchen AND throughout the entire apartment such as my bedroom and bathrooms. So to sum up I pay a 700 dollar moving fee AND a 300 dollar pet fee (AGAIN) ANNNND a Security deposit (AGAIN). Only to move into an upgraded pig stye. I attached an image of German Roaches that were infesting my fridge. And they did try and remedy some of these issues like bringing me a new fridge when I asked for it, but the fridge was used and needed to be cleaned from stains and food crumbs inside of it. They also tried to get a cleaning crew to come out here but obviously I just did it myself since Im not gonna stay in a disgusting apartment until they can send someone out.So glad I upgraded to a new apartment building only to have all of the problems that Ive literally never had before. I do not recommend moving here. Find somewhere else.

Weve loved this apartment! The maintenance staff is lovely - so responsive! You can submit requests online and they come promptly and fix things - weve only had to do that a couple times though since our apartment is great quality :) We had a terrible experience at a nearby apartment complex and it has been a breath of fresh air to move here and know that our place is safe, the pool is clean and beautiful, office staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, and we absolutely love our own apartment! The carpet is soft, our closet is huge, we have an amazing bay window where I can study and our appliances work so well (even the dishwasher - doesnt leave icky residue on our dishes! Our last place did and it was such a pain!). Washer/drier are fantastic, kitchen appliances are really nice - deep sink, which we love! The price is also super competitive - a lot of nice apartments can get really expensive but we found that the rent is super reasonable for the quality. Our water bill is based on what we actually use - not allocated - which is fantastic and has saved us about $30 a month since we moved from a place that had allocated water. Appliances are pretty energy-efficient as far as we can tell - our energy bill has been super reasonable!! The blinds are 2-inches, which means they look really nice and dont get all bent out of whack :) Parking is a breeze - none of the spots are reserved (except for the covered spots which account for about 20% of parking and you pay a little extra for those), which is SO nice for having friends over. Weve never had an issue with parking crazy far from our apartment. A lot of medical students and residents, young families, all so friendly! Were incredibly satisfied with our decision to live here and plan to stay in this apartment until we leave the city!

Love this Place. Ive only been living here for about a month with my fiancee and we just love the staff, community and the Apartments. We are definitely thinking long term!**UPDATED** 4/26/2017Apartment changed management after a few months of living here. Didnt have a problem with the new management at first but then I started having discrepancies on our monthly bill. I feel the front office staff would benefit from customer service classes. Try not to make it obvious that you hate your job. There was an occasion that a staff member was pretty rude to my wife because she needed to do a tour, when all she wanted to do was use the printer which just so happens didnt work anyways. More then half of the cardio equipment in the gym doesnt work. The two gas grills by the pool were shut off by the new management because they considered them a fire hazard and they have no plan in getting them fixed any time soon...*quoted* So GOOD LUCK Grilling by the pool during the summer!! These are just a few of the reasons we decided not to renew our lease. The apartments are still nice. The prices are still reasonable but, we were just able to find a place that was more accommodating, friendlier staff, bigger space, awesome social community, newer, better priced and better amenities. Overall the community here is still nice and quite, very dog friendly. You gotta take the good with the bad if you decide to move here.

I had a pretty bad experience living at Boardwalk Medcenter. I was very excited when I moved in because a friend of mine lived there and loved it and said management was great. Unfortunately, management changed about 2 weeks after I moved in and it has been problem after problem since. All of the employees that work in the office (with the exception of Jill) were rude to me and caused issues time after time. I was fined for stuff that was not in my lease and given less than 24 hours to pay the fine before I was threatened within another fine. I lived in a one bedroom alone and am a female, so I was very upset when an older maintenance man let himself into my apartment without any request from me or notice to let me know that he would be coming into my apartment which made me very uncomfortable. The great amenities that they claim to have hardly ever worked. The car wash station hose and dog wash station never worked while I was there and the dog park has fences that any dog under 30 pounds can easily fit through. The machines in the fitness center were also frequently out of order. As someone who lived here, I would not recommend it. Ive heard good things about other apartment complexes in the medical center if youre looking for a dog friendly place, but I just wasnt satisfied with my time at this location.

Ive lived on this property since early 2013. First in a two bedroom then I downsized to a one bedroom. I was very happy under the old management. They were nice and polite. The new office manager gave me some attitude when I went asking her for some paperwork recently. It was around time of me lease renewal and I had questions for her about rent and fees and she basically said she didnt know. How are you going to be an office manager and not know what youre charging the tenants? Ive probably had a total of maybe three work orders in the time Ive lived here and before the new management every thing always went smoothly. This last time it was an after hours call that had to do with my fridge going out. The maintenance man pretty much gave me attitude and told me I should have called it in during work hours. I didnt know I was supposed to anticipate a maintenance problem. I like that this community is dog friendly but people walk around all day with their dogs off their leashes. Some people cant even control their dogs. They dont clean up after them either so theres dog poop everywhere. I miss the good ole days off this place. I didnt think I was going to leave here for a long time but well, here we are.

This is not a good place to live. When I first moved in and it was a greystar community, things were great. Over the summer of 2021, tricon bought the property and the management staff was replaced and things went downhill fast. The gate is broken often and sometimes for months at a time. My kitchen drawers broke and after a month of not receiving them back, I was told that I was no longer welcome in the community. I called four times over months and my toilet was never fixed. The complex is always covered in dog waste and sometimes people leave full bags of trash in the parking lot. There are feral cats everywhere.Management tried illegally forcing me out of my apartment and would not complete maintenance orders, but would let themselves into my home without notice or invitation. When maintenance did come, it was typically followed by mansplaining and no actual response to my question. Maintenance went to the wrong apartment and tried letting themselves into my home and then got mad when I was inside because they went to the wrong apartment and tried to blame me.Cars have been left on cider blocks under tricon management, cars have been broken into and cars have been completely stolen out of the parking lot.Upon moving out, Carmen in the office, went into my apartment, without notice, and seeing that I was in the process of moving, falsified a child protect services report.I feel so much safer not living here. Save your money and find a different complex, its not worth your time.

My family has lived here for 3 years and plan on continuing our lease at least another year!We lived in a phase II one-bedroom (very modern and well-designed) for the first 2 years until we found out we were pregnant. We were mid-lease and wanted to upgrade to a two-bedroom and the Boardwalk staff were very helpful in helping that transition happen as smoothly as possible. In fact, the weekend we were supposed to switch apartments was when we had hurricane spin-off storms and they worked with us to change our move-in date so that it could be more safe for my family to move. I can genuinely say that the staff here are my friends and they are quite positive and have our best interest in mind.Helpful amenities my family has enjoyed include covered parking, valet trash, and the beautiful pool and fire pit. Raising a family here has been a joy thus far-- we even have resort views! Finally, and most importantly, we have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our neighbors and forming a community here. We have dog-sat for our next door neighbor and he has passed down his medical books to my husband. This complex is diverse and includes medical students, UTSA students, families with kids, and retired couples. We feel safe and right at home here. It is our favorite place in San Antonio.

I have always enjoyed living at boardwalk, recently when my lease was up for renewal I was considering relocating because of the need for a yard, before signing at another place, I checked with Nick and Jennifer, and thankfully an apartment was available. The management team made my transfer easy and stress free, completing a walk through with me prior to moveout, and prior to move in to the current apartment, maintenance staff was great during the whole move, offering assistance and asking multiple times if everything was up to my liking, and that if I needed anything or noticed any repairs needed to let them know, I moved in with no issues and the transfer process was seamless. So glad I get to stay here for the 3rd year in a row! Management is great about hosting gatherings and resident events and have always been willing to help!

I would NOT recommend moving here. When we toured and signed our lease, there was a different management company that was very professional and helpful whenever you went into the office. Once Tricon took over, the quality of the whole property went WAY downhill. The gate was broken for at least 4 months with no note to the residents or signs of it getting fixed. It took over 3 weeks to get someone to fix my dryer that was completely broken and a month to get someone to look at my freezer that was making loud noises despite consistent calls, emails, and trips to the office requesting help. When we moved out, they tried to hit us with carpet cleaning and other misc fees on our deposit despite us living there for about 7 months, cleaning everything before move out, and barely being there in the first place. Not only that, but they didnt send us our deposit back for over a month after our move out date (which is against the law in TX). I wish the first management company was still around.

My husband and I have LOVED our experience here at Boardwalk Med Center. We came from out of state which presented some difficulties with move in and we were moving into the apartment sight unseen. Needless to say, I was a bit worried. From the first time I called the complex, the leasing staff was kind, understanding, and patient. When we arrived at our apartment, it was absolutely spotless with new carpet and everything in working order. The grounds were (and continue to be) very clean and free of trash. The pool and gym are very well maintained. Maintence responds to our requests within 12-48 hours and always fixes the problem. We given free air filters and lightbulbs as well as new batteries for the smoke detectors. We have had some issues but the leasing office has worked quickly to help us resolve them in a timely manner. The complex is quiet and is truly a place of peace for us in a city that can be quite hectic. We love our home! (Contrary to some reviews, we were not paid to write this in any way. Also, upon move out, this review will be updated)

I recently leased at Boardwalk Apartments and I was impressed with the apartments I was shown. I leased a Goliad floor-plan and liked it. Terry was the manager that showed me around and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the community. She answered every question without hesitation. Terry also introduced me to the maintenance team and they were also polite and helpful. I feel like the maintenance team has a very important impact on the property, being that if something in your apartment needs attention they are the ones responsible to take action. Laziness was the issue at my previous complex. The community here at boardwalk was very clean and quiet. I have never leased on the spot, but I felt this was the right decision. I was looking all day and didnt receive the CUSTOMER SERVICE I did there and Im excited for my move! I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful and friendly place to live.

Considerations for pet owners at BMC:While my dog is not winning any blue ribbons for her intelligence, it is important to note a couple of things you may not consider during a walk through of these apartments. The barred gates surrounding the entire complex and particularly the dog park BEND and easily move. My 60lb, broad-shouldered labrador can easily make it through this fence, which means just about any dog allowed into this complex can easily end up on a very busy and dangerous road. The short (maybe 3 foot) fence around the dog park within the complex can be easily cleared, so there are occasionally loose dogs in the complex. These are potentially dangerous considerations for bringing a dog into this complex. Many reviewers mention the stray cats but I think theyre missing a big point, which is not just that the cats are welcomed in this community but that management has not pursued any form of TNR to ensure that these cats are not breeding within the community. Last year, we rehomed a mother and 4 kittens born in our bushes, which was a major expense.I have really liked calling BMC home for the last 2 years. There have been 3 property management companies over that time, some better than others, some that will film you and your family during inspections (did NOT love that). The maintenance guys are wonderful and there are a lot of sweet neighbors. But if I could change anything, I would really hope that management will consider improving the fencing around the dog park so that no one will have to see their beloved family members get hurt in a busy street.

I am deeply saddened and disappointed with the experience I just had with the office. I have lived here for two years through two different managements and never had a problem with the staff until Tricon took over. After voicing my concerns and confusion about a particular process the lady in the front office got very loud, rude, and unprofessional instead of showing any type of compassion or understanding. I know everyone has bad days but this interaction was completely unacceptable. This is also after I have had several issues with attitude every time I ask for a new gate clicker because mine constantly stops working; mind you a clicker is something we pay for. The office definitely lacks patience and kindness these days.Side note: this does not include their maintenance team they are absolutely amazing and kind! Not sure why the office seems to fall short in that area.

Ive lived in these apartments for a year and a half now. I started in a one bedroom, on the third floor. Was great, but a little small, and after half a year they let me switch to a two bedroom.Thats where the problems started.First, the company that laid the flooring for my apartment didnt do it correctly, or the last tenet did something to cause it to come up. Ill be the first to say that this isnt Boardwalks fault. Someone somewhere screwed up, and they were left awkwardly holding the bill. What annoyed me about the whole situation is how long it took to get the situation straightened out. I had been living in my apartment for almost 3 months before they finally just came in and replaced the floor. Now I have matte flooring, which I dont mind, and floor glue on some of the boards that I cant seem to get off, which I do mind. All the same, its tolerable and livable. Then we get to my upstairs neighbor.I have the absolute worst neighbor. She listens to this god-awful music, all hours of the day and often times into the night. It rumbles my bedroom ceiling, and echoes throughout my apartment, making it an inescapable noise while Im at home. Its enough to drive anyone insane. I moved into these apartments because I was under the impression that were all adults here; respectful, professional people that have some understanding that we all have to get along with each other.Apparently, not according to the arrogant, self serving tripe I live below.I have complained to the management, repeatedly, and have been told theyve done all they can. So I get to have my right to peace and privacy violated because some guttersnipe wants to listen to her crap music all day and night.Again, not Boardwalks fault, but for all their talk of having a peaceful community, there are VERY clearly exceptions to that generalization. For the next occupier of my apartment, beware; the person you will live below is rude and disrespectful and any effort to communicate with them will be met with their accusing YOU of harassing them because you asked them to do something that affects their lifestyle. What a joke.Where the office staff themselves are concerned, other than my obvious frustration at a lack of response to the issue, theyve been wonderful and attentive. Theyre always warm, welcoming, and willing to lend an ear if you need someone to talk to. Maintenance is quick at responding, the apartments are beautiful, and for the most part people are friendly. Theres been a bit of a pet waste issue, but theyre working on fixing that issue.Overall, I love living here. Except for the neighbor.

We did not renew our 3 year lease because, my husband and I were NOT pleased with How the staff was managing the community, they were rarely communicative to us in regard to coordinating maintenance issues. They recommend you set up a “pre inspection” walk before your move out and don’t follow through. The ONLY positive review I can give is to the new maintenance person, he is good and responsive! I have looked at between 30-34 apartments. They start to all look the same and its tiring! I toured with Vanessa at Boardwalk MedCenter. I am really picky when it comes to apartments. I want the dog park far away. I like wood flooring throughout because i love the wood style but hate living first floor. It is HARD finding wood flooring in the top floors in SA. I want my apartment to face a certain direction based on the interior, mostly for lighting purposes. The amenities like the carwash area was different. The manager came out and greeted me while I was with Vanessa. I didnt look important. I was dressed down with my night cap on. I think they always do that which made me think they really care about their guests and residents regardless of what they look like. Overall it was nice and welcoming.

Wildly frustrating living experience. The management is unprofessional and lacks capacity to communicate clearly and directly. The management is inflexible and unaccommodating, yet pleads for residents to be understanding and patient. The buildings and appliances are out of date and not well maintained. The grounds are riddled with fecal matter from the pets, and the feral cats that live on property - this has been consistent for the past two years of my residency. This is a short list, and I exclude the 2am physical fight between two drunk females on a random Tuesday night, and the gym which is laughable. I would not recommend this complex to working professionals.Positive note: the maintenance team is very helpful, pleasant and informative.Update: Under new mgmt. Carmen was very helpful. We have nothing against the one maintenance guy, he is kind and works very hard, but he is all by himself and very overworked. So, for the next 8 months, I lived in fear that the same incident, or something worse would happen again. I found out later, that my exact same apartment had been broken into twice before. These are great apartments. Some have a yard, which is great for a pet. The staff up front is very nice, but they are severely understaffed. To get anything done you almost have to be rude to them, not because they are lazy... but because they are so understaffed most things arent done with urgency. When I started here I was told there was no trash fee, pest fee and water was included. That girl has since moved to the other residence (the newer ones off I10) and now they charge me for those things. The apartments are very nice with faux wood floors and granite countertops. There is usually enough parking and its very safe. It has a dog park. Be warned this complex has a lot of dogs, so there is going to be barking you can hear from the hallway at times. Most unites have a Washer and Dryer in the unit. I loved this apartment prior to the management change. Post management change, I have had several problems and I would NOT recommend moving into this complex. The office staff is incompetent and fails to follow through on issues. Firstly, I informed the office staff that the float in the master toilet was going out. They did not fix it. As a result the toilet overflowed soaking the carpet. The complex sent someone out to fix the problem, but all they did was rip the carpet up exposing a tack strip. I have been to the office several times and Jarod has dropped the ball to the point where the tack strip has been exposed for 5 days. I have a small child in the apartment, and I am scared that she will step on the strip and a tack will go through her foot. ER here we come. DO NOT move into this complex!! I am eagerly awaiting the leases end date.

I have lived in this community for 2 years. I started out in the smallest one bedroom available, located by Huebner Rd but facing the parking lot. For 655 sq. feet, the layout made it seem much larger inside. It was very quiet. The only sound I ever heard (besides parking lot noise like any other complex) was the toilet flushing upstairs. Very peaceful. The complex is only a few years old (3 at this point), and everything seems pretty much brand new. No bugs whatsoever. I liked it so much that when my lease was up, I upgraded to a second story apartment facing the pool, and it was even better. At 787 sq. feet, again, it seems like alot more once you are inside.Pet deposit is very reasonable...300 for the first pet, 200 for the second, and NO PET RENT. There is an issue with a few people not picking up dog poop (there is a dog poop station RIGHT THERE!), but there isnt a whole lot anyone can do about it. Ive never seen the culprit(s). The staff send out frequent reminders about cleaning up after your pets, and only once have I seen the pet stations empty of bags for any length of time.Ive had a few work orders placed with maintenance (small things that were my fault), and the maintenance staff were pretty quick in getting to these non-emergencies, it makes me feel that if it was something important, that they would snap to it. Juan is the guy who usually completes my work orders, and he does a great job.Being by the pool, you would expect alot of noise, but there really isnt much. In the summer, there were pretty constant pool parties but only on Friday nights and Saturdays, and whoever played the latin music every weekend had it semi-loud, but not too bad. During the week, it was quiet. Now that school is back in session, the weekend parties at the pool are rare, so if you have kids, noise wont be much of an issue. Im not a fan of propane grills but I simply decided to bring my own little grill down to the pool and problem solved! There is a gym thats well maintained, dog park, car wash/pet wash station, pool thats alot better maintained than most others around town, and a fire pit with a waterfall around it that is a favorite of any guests that I bring over. Cooking smores down there for a friend of mines kids was a huge hit this past summer. The office staff are definitely the best Ive ever had, especially Salaie. Best way to describe her is a bright ray of sunshine. She always brings a smile to my face. Mary the manager is very nice also. All of them are courteous, friendly, and eager to help. I had some personal problems last year, and I felt that they went out of their way to watch out for me, and were supportive. All in all, this is a complex for professionals, and most people keep to themselves and are friendly and respectful, so if you are looking for a quiet complex, check it out. There are alot of positives about living here, and very few negatives, which is why I signed my third lease a few weeks back.

This apartment complex is over priced. For 700+ sq Ft you pay $1300 and every year it goes up. Go buy a house for that money. Secondly, there is water damage in huge amounts to include the back door into the yard if you live on the first floor. And their response is “oh yea that happens.” Which is fine that it does happen, not fine that they refuse to do anything about it. Thirdly the apartment is dirty, there’s bird droppings everywhere and stains on the concrete from oil spills or something. The fourth thing I noticed, is that there is massive amounts of dog droppings and no one picks it up. There are stray cats as well that like to sleep on your vehicle and scratch it up. Definitely not worth it. The cabinets are not aligned correctly, there’s cracks in the walls, and the floor boards are warped. The walls are falling apart from the rain season, and the only way to fix it is for you to pay more money. Don’t by into this.

Let me start by saying this apartment complex is not professional. We were moving from Boise Idaho and our move in date was set for August 8 as stated in our lease. Carmen, the manager called and told us we were not able to move in because the office will be closed. After explaining to her the difficulties of driving long hours just to not be able to move in was truly a disadvantage. She came to an agreement to meet my mother to collect payment and give the keys. Just after reaching a resolution Carmen then calls back and gives the same story of how the office is closed on Sunday. From a customer standpoint, this is completely unprofessional, especially after reaching a resolution. Fast forward to now. Tricon Residential sends a letter in the mail stating options if COVID-19 caused hardships that residents are able to terminate the lease without penalties. I accepted a positions to work the frontline of COVID elsewhere and my fiance is unemployed because of COVID and Carmen has the audacity to tell us that this does not apply to us, when she does not know about our personal financial struggles. As stated in the print, this applies to those who are affected by COVID-19. We are currently in contact with corporate because this manager does not know how to honor whats written by her own company. There are plenty of complexes nearby that have superior customer service and honor what they send their residents. I would look elsewhere to save yourself time and frustrations.****UPDATE****Management and Tricon Residential are honoring the info they emailed to their residents. It took some self advocating but they are honoring what was stated in their email. I hope the next person who may be in a financial struggle gets the help they need right away without any difficulty, Thanks Boardwalk for resolving this situation.

They tried telling us we didn’t pay for certain things when we have documentation that we did. They don’t apologize they just shrug and say “That’s just the way things are.” I miss the old management (especially Jaclyn) who was wonderful and remembered us every time we came in and actually worked on helping us when she said she would. She’s the reason we moved in at the time. This new management just cannot be bothered, it seems. All they care about is jacking up costs and fees and getting your information wrong. We called to ask when our lease ended so we could know when to start looking for a house with our realtor. We were told a date 2 MONTHS later than it was. If I didn’t have the the gut feeling to go and find the information on my own, it would have severely derailed our house buying process. I mean how difficult is it to just look at the computer screen and read? There were many other instances like that. I would just say that if you decide to live here don’t take anybody’s word on anything in the front office. They’re not there to help you, they’re there to work a 9-5 and go home. Get everything they tell you in writing and signed or you’ll be screwed over later.

Corie and Jill are big liars. They will try to entice you in a lease. This place sucks so bad that you will bleed a lot once you decide to leave. PLS pls pls dont even think of living or signing any lease in this place. I got the entire house cleaned before leaving but they overcharged me and I was treated so bad i cant even tell. As a responsible citizen of this country who alway paid the dues before the due date , I was so shocked what they did to me. They lied all the time and initially i thougt they might have some work ethics.Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. You will regret it big time specially when you move out. Horrible Experience - Liar Management and horrible move out experience. They made me pay for valet trash extra monthly charge and over charged me even when I agreed with move out minimum notice of 60d. Ultimately they Charged me $400 extra in all as penalty and most charges (at move out) which were totally illogical. My friends who are lawyers told me to press a case but the fee and ordeal would not have been worth my time and effort.I had to pay because they theatened to spoil my credit history by sending those bills to collectors. You will always lose if you live in this place and will regret it forever.

The office management never follow through with their calls when they say that theyll look into your application and give you a follow up phone call.We had to go in person after 2 weeks of waiting to be told in the most snarky tone from Vivian Didnt I already tell you it was denied? and they wont look into the reason why nor will they tell you so you can fix the problem. The application fee we spent is also nonrefundable, which we have gotten those back before from previous applications, so now we lose out on $400 which we could have used elsewhere.Waste of time and money.

These are beautiful apartments, parking spaces are well distributed, very quiet area, nice pool, I feel safe here for the most part, and the staff is very friendly, they even have events for residents which is something very thoughtful. I will say that they don’t sweep the staircase, which sucks, and their gate is almost always busted so it’s very easy for any car to come in. Overall, the good outweighs the bad

I LOVED living here. I lived in one of the buildings facing Huebner Rd. My neighbors were quiet, there was never any loud music or people arguing (like at my old apts). You CAN hear the traffic since the building is so close to Huebner Rd but its not that bad. Only thing I didnt like was I wasnt told about the admin or trash fee that was added to my rent.

Do not move here. After the staff change, we were counting down the days until we could move out. The staff here do not understand the basics of customer service. They are all condescending and perpetually confused (especially Jill). There are many, many other great places to call your home; unfortunately, this is not one of them.Edit: Apparently, people are being offered money to write positive reviews, so please take what you read with a grain of salt.

BEWARE! AVOID AT ALL COST! Apartments are uninhabitable! Carpets emit a sickening moldy odor, and the kitchen drain produces a nauseating stench. I am currently in the process of consulting a lawyer to sue for breach of Health and Safety requirements. In spite of multiple complaints over several weeks, management is only willing to expose the carpets to ozone gas, instead of replacing them, even though the Environmental Protection Agencys website warns against the use of ozone gas for these purposes.Your health is in jeopardy if you rent here!

I don’t know where to begin to be honest, it was one of the apartments I really liked living there but after what I have encountered after moving out I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, when we first moved to the Boardwalk, Jennifer Daffinee was the manager and she was quite welcoming and we were sold when we saw the model apartment, the apartment we moved into was nice except the carpet was not replaced, it was just cleaned so I asked one of the people that was working there and his name was Andrew and he told me that their policy is that if the carpet is good, they will just clean it , they won’t replace it , so I brought that issue to Jennifer back then and how I didn’t want to be charged for replacing the carpet, she promised me that they won’t charge me and now that we moved they sure did charge me $230 to replace the carpet, so I went to the leasing office trying to talk to the manager thinking Jennifer was still there and found out that she moved to Austin with the management company I guess and the new manager is just full of himself, didn’t want to try to work something instead all he said that “I won’t talk to you because your name is not on the lease”, mind you that we had spoken to Jennifer back then to put my name on the lease and she swore to us that she already put my name on it and now the new manager told me that my name was not on the lease and I have no right to speak to him about the carpet charge, I told him that every month rent was paid through my bank that has my name on it. He was just ignorant and no matter what I said about the carpet situation he wouldn’t even think about it because even the lady in the leasing office her name is Vanessa told me that they replace apartment carpet every 5 years if its in good condition so my argument was why should I get charged for it if somebody before me messed it up, it was just cleaned when I moved in so I just vacuumed it when I moved out and now they want to charge me to replace the whole thing , it’s a rip-off and I totally don’t recommend this place anymore because they will rip you off one way or the other

And inlight of all these recent crime I would like to know what are you going to do about the safety of not only your tenants but your property and investment as well...and about our poor trash mans truck who is a hard worker, and i cant even remember i know of a night that he doesnt show up gor worker he deserves more and so do we the residents that have never missed or had a late payment or a complaint about because we are the ones you as a company should value....

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I lived here for four years during professional school and since management has changed this place has become complete garbage. The gates are always broken, cars are constantly broken into (including my own) or expect it to end up on blocks after people steal your tires, there are small cockroaches everywhere, tons of annoying ferral cats roaming around, and management REFUSES to do anything about these issues and wont claim any responsibility. When I finally moved out, I paid for a professional cleaning service that THEY recommended and was promised there would be NO cleaning charges but yet again ANOTHER LIE! Please just save your money and live somewhere else because that is all this company wants from you.

If you are looking for a safe place to live THIS is NOT IT. Keep looking. You are better off living at the park under a tree.Vehicle breaks ins are becoming very common. Management is doing nothing. Not even a camera. There was a break into an apartment. Last night there were six vehicle break ins. They won’t let you break your lease bc apparently this is not considered a safety issue.Families live here. The least they can do is ensure their protection.
