Avita Alamo Heights Apartments is my “heaven on earth” after visiting many residential communities in San Antonio I chose them and haven’t regretted it one day. None of the other residential apartments I visited equalled to Avita in service, location, convenience, clientele and above all management. The leasing team is professional, consistent and super nice! You can count on them to be proactive and responsive to your every need. The Facilities (gym, pool, garages) are always well kept and pleasant. The Community areas (lobby, welcome room, mailroom and conference room) are always beautiful and appealing. Extra activities such food truck visits and exercising pool classes are sometimes available for residents to enjoy. Love to go to the front office just to say hello. Always am greeted by my name and with a pleasant smile full of welcome! Thank you Avita Alamo Heights team for being (virtually) my heaven on earth. From here to eternity (literally)! NR. … (photo is sunset from Avita parking lot).
Despite having a little rough start with getting our key fobs and accounts setup the first day, everything else so far has been great. The interior is spacious and high quality while being affordable between two people. The parking garage is very convenient being able to park on your own floor and makes bringing in groceries easier. Staff has been friendly and quick to respond to comments and concerns. Maintenance is also very quick to respond to requests and are friendly. Past recent reviews do seem worrisome but I can’t make judgement until I’m here longer and like I said earlier, things are great so far.
The amenities at this place are for “show and tell”, ONLY. The dog wash station hasn’t worked for weeks. (Maintenance and office staff were advised and it still doesn’t work.) The coffee machine hasn’t made an actual cup of coffee since I moved in. The lights around the fire pit (near the pool) are out, and several grills on the property are “out of order”. Yet, the $25 amenities charge continues to show up on my payment ledger. If you are considering making Avita your home & you like nice things, check out the amenities to see if they actually work. That’ll help w/ decision making. Happy Hunting!
Ive been living at Avita Alamo Heights for the past six months, and I couldnt be happier with my experience. The maintenance team is exceptional — any issues are addressed promptly, and they always keep everything in top shape. It’s so reassuring to know that the property is well taken care of.The community here is incredibly welcoming. The neighbors are friendly and respectful, creating a warm and positive atmosphere. The staff at Avita Alamo Heights are fantastic as well — always approachable, professional, and helpful. They really go the extra mile to ensure residents feel comfortable and valued. One of the highlights for me has been the community events, especially the monthly pet contest! My two pugs have not only made some furry friends but also won the contest, which was such a fun and proud moment! It’s these small details that make living here so special. The food truck schedule is another great perk — there’s always something delicious available, and it’s so convenient. Avita really does a great job of fostering a sense of community while offering top-tier amenities. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a vibrant, pet-friendly, and well-maintained home!
Every time this place has offered financial incentives for us to offer referrals, I think how I wouldnt even offer a referral to the person I like least in San Antonio. This place has lost all of its appeal over the years. We have lived here since 2021, and the ONLY reason we didnt move this past year is because our rent didnt increase. Here are the FUN issues weve had to deal with:--Car break ins. When it was our turn, that cost us $500. When I called to report it to the front office so that we could acquire the video footage for the detective, there was zero empathy about the entire incident. It became the norm for a bit to be driving into or out of the garage and see a car with a smashed window and shards of glass everywhere.--The trash area is gross. It is almost always overrun with trash. It has been over a year and this is still a problem. I do not know why they dont invest in expanding the trash area with another dumpster. We have lived here for close to 4 years, and I saw my first roach inside our apartment last summer. We have NEVER had roaches!--The parking lines are barely visible, which means you either A) have to repeatedly adjust your car to ensure youre within the lines or B) end up with someone who doesnt care enough to bother and parks in the middle of two spaces, making an already overcrowded parking garage short spaces because its never just ONE person who does this. Its multiple. They sent out an email last year that they were finally addressing the issue. Not even 25% of the parking garage got new lines sprayed. Our floor was not one of them.--The first year we got our renewal, we noticed the apartment next door to us - which is the exact same floor plan - was available to rent for $300 less than our apartment. THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS PER MONTH LESS. When I asked for our rent to be matched, they said the only way they could do that was for us to move into that apartment. Somehow, in the year 2022, it was impossible to change the rent for our apartment to match an apartment literally right next door. Three hundred dollars a month is a lot of money for us, so we moved our entire freaking apartment next door. That should have been our sign to peace out of this place but up to that point, everything else Ive mentioned had not happened, yet.--When we first moved into our new apartment, I noticed the patio door was missing some of the protective lining at the bottom. I told maintenance I would open a ticket if it became a problem. It has become a problem. I started to notice last year these little beetles and rolly pollies in our apartment. I finally noticed something crawling through the bottom of the damaged part of the patio door. I opened a ticket in November. Maintenance showed up, looked at the door, and said a part would need to be ordered to weather proof the door. He said hed let the front office know. One whole month later, I reached out to check the status. They claimed there was not a ticket and that I would need to open a new one. No apology, no empathy. I asked them to check if the original ticket had been closed. After a lot of back and forth, the ticket was found and I was told they would get back to me. It is now 2.24.25. I reached out to check on it again, 2 months from the last time I asked and 3 months from its original existence. They cant find it. They said for me to open another ticket. I DONT UNDERSTAND. I sent screenshots of my already going on this merry go round ride with them.--This place used to power wash twice a year because a lot of birds take up residence here and so does their feces. When I asked about it, they said there isnt proper drainage and it could be unsafe. Everyone seems to have survived without incident when the last owners would do it. Im curious to see how theyre going to handle properly cleaning the floors and walls. I attached a photo of a wall that had a lot of bird poop. It looks like someone tried to clean it, but only made it worse as the feces is now spread even more. There are MANY walls like this.
Great customer service, treats residents well. Everything in my unit works and maintenance upkeep is consistent. Staff is friendly and kind. Trash valet is great. Free places to park in garage as long as its not numbered (unless you pay for a spot) keeps your car safe from elements. Garage connects to multiple levels so you dont have to take the stairs if your moving in or out.Fantastic apartment complex. Units are updated and modern. I have no cons or negatives. Sometimes the gates break down but the maintenance on it and regular posts regarding gate issues is consistent and the issue is usually resolved within the same week.
After a three-year tenure at Avita Alamo Heights, formerly Lantower, I can confidently assert that it is an excellent apartment complex, albeit with certain drawbacks.Regrettably, there is a persistent issue with residents’ dogs using the bathrooms in the breezeways and other areas. While the primary responsibility lies with the pet owners, management and the company must also be held accountable for not providing sufficient staffing and resources to enable the team to conduct thorough deep cleaning of the complex on a regular basis. This lack of regular cleaning has, at times, rendered living conditions quite challenging due to the persistent state of the apartment.Maintenance requests are addressed promptly, and the maintenance staff is exceptional. However, the washers and dryers in the units are subpar, and I encountered numerous issues with them, receiving only temporary fixes without addressing the underlying causes. This is an area that the apartment complex should prioritize to enhance the living experience. The apartment’s location is superb, with everything conveniently accessible within the Alamo Heights area, eliminating the need to venture out. The pool is adequate, though it is often crowded, preventing residents from fully enjoying it. Similarly, the gym is not particularly noteworthy. Safety within the complex is generally satisfactory, although the frequent car break-ins are somewhat tiresome, as the gates are often damaged due to individuals ramming them. These issues are also addressed with temporary fixes rather than implementing permanent solutions. In conclusion, Avita Alamo Heights is a commendable apartment complex. Nevertheless, it is advisable to explore other options and carefully weigh the pros against the cons.
Excellent management team. Proactive, attentive professionals. Quiet, peaceful neighbors, convenient to the Alamo Quary. Facilities well kept. Great Amenities.
The Avita Alamo Heights complex is exceptional, offering a well-maintained and inviting environment that truly feels like home. The staff is professional, always going above and beyond to ensure that residents needs are met with efficiency and care. Their friendly demeanor and attention to detail make living here a seamless and enjoyable experience. Overall, this is a place where both the management and community shine.💯
Beware If You Rely on AC!**I’ve been living in this apartment for two months, and I have to say, if you value air conditioning, look elsewhere! Our AC has not worked consistently since we moved in. The maintenance team has visited multiple times, but all they seem to do is check the thermostat and claim they’ve added Freon. Unfortunately, that hasn’t solved the problem. It gets unbearably hot, to the point where our counters and floors become moist. It’s incredibly uncomfortable, and I’m frustrated with the lack of a proper solution. How long does it actually take to fix an AC unit? On a positive note, I’ve noticed that writing a review seems to get the job done quicker, and the maintenance staff becomes more attentive. So, if you choose to live here, consider sharing your experiences to get the attention you need! If you love staying cool in your home, I highly recommend finding a different place to live! These living conditions aren’t safe and uncomfortable and if it doesn’t get fix we will report it !
They acted fast with any repair requests usually within a business day.Fairly safe, no stolen packages and reoccurring trash/pest service is on time.Could use more signs though since delivery drivers keep getting lost. The in-unit appliances were good quality and fairly newOverall a good experience.
I love these apartments. Never had any issue with service orders, no bugs in the apartment EVER which is a huge deal for me as I have a 2 year old daughter. Big shout out to Kayle Phillips for helping me re-lease. Loving the new unit even more! 10/10
Ive been at Avita apartments for 14 months. I have to change my review. The breeze way looks awful and dirty. I said something to the managers and leasing agent and they said they would try to do something about it. That was back in November. A spill from months ago is still on the floor. Its starting to get noisy during quiet hours of people blasting music, slamming doors, and hard foot steps. The constant smell of Marijuana is sickening. The elevators look nasty and make unsafe sounds. The maintenance are awesome. They try to do their best, thats the plus.
Several things are not working inside the apartment, making it very difficult to live here. I initially requested maintenance in May 2024, but nothing has been addressed. Despite multiple follow-ups, no action has been taken, and it is now December 2024.
Very disappointing to see this place running down since the new administration took over. We’ve had issues with the trash since the past 2 months, and I appreciate admin keep us “updated” with tons of emails saying that they are working on it. But what we need are solutions. We need you guys to fix the issue, waste management will make the cut for other apartments around the area and businesses, but not for this place, do not normalize this. What’s going on?
Would give zero stars!!!! Terrible property management with no communication or consideration for the tenants. Valet trash service is a required monthly fee, however, it is often not picked up and management blames the tenants for the overflow of dumpsters when in reality it failure to maintain the most simple coordination with trash services. On top of that, management sent an email stating they will now fine residents that don’t follow they trash pickup policies (must be in bin, cardboard must be tied, etc.) though none of this is detailed in the lease. Illegal fees for tenants by creating post lease agreement fee adjustments with no addenda or gained agreement signatures. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT MOVE HERE FOR YOUR OWN BENEFIT! Gated community yet the gates are always broken, poor upkeep of dog park, broken safety exit signage in the parking garages with exposed wiring. Pool was not available for a large portion of the summer do to poor upkeep and unsafe chemical levels.
Staff has always been very helpful and maintenance team is awesome! Couldn’t have found a better place. Great location too.
Do not move in here unless you want your vehicles vandalized or being hit by other guests who do hit and run, and on top of that the apartments didn’t want to show us the cameras because supposedly they say they don’t belong to them, so who do they belong to? Not even the police can see them either what a joke. Also the guy who picks up the trash keeps charging me for violating the valet trash rules, when the neighbors do it everyday and they don’t get charged. Also the office staff is very rude they have a really bad attitude, they call this place fancy when it’s not, this a really ghetto place packages being stolen from other guests and a bunch of other things, might as well go rent somewhere cheaper because this is what the place is showing. Now I have to pay damages for my new truck and feel unsafe in this place for another year. And the one to blame for all of this is the poor management!!!
This picture is the pool. It closed on 7/11 and is still not open. I called on 7/13 and was told it should be fixed by the weekend pending a pump repair. 3 full weekends later- it is just becoming a green slime pool. The property management (There have been 2 firms since 2021 but both did not keep pool operational.) has no incentive to expedite this. Also, summer 2021 the pool was closed in July and never reopened until 2022 summer. When living in Texas, a pool is an amenity many desire. Do not live here if you care about the pool access. The comments about the gate being broken and car/mailroom break-ins are also accurate, but this happens in many apartment buildings. Also, the gate is not any security- one can easily follow someone inside, and I have had probably 5+ incidents of needing my fob recoded. Gate more trouble than it is worth.Update 8/8: They emailed about new nondescript upgrades happening to the clubhouse but alas the pool is still closed. But we can now access our mailroom outside of the very limited Lantower business hours.
I am a new resident here. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They are also very organized. On move in day, they had a folder prepared for me that included everything I needed to know as a new resident. Then Kim walked me to my new apartment which had a red ribbon/bow around the door. She took a video of me as I cut the ribbon. This made move-in day extra special. Oh, and there was a welcome bag with snacks and helpful items for my new apartment. The apartment was cleaned very well before my move-in day. I like how quiet it is here.
Moved here for the location, spaciousness, the modernity and the pool/club. Now super unhappy with management (revolving assortment of rude and under-knowledgeable staff) add to that they hired a parking company to scan our guests and CHARGE them to park in our garage when they come visit, the $$$ goes to Avita while the ParKing co. get their $$ from the towing company?? I like the extra security but why charge money? My guests will have to pay to come visit me?? They also started to charge us to use the clubroom for private events! which was marketed at the beginning as a free amenity... Whats next? we will get charged to use our pool?
It has been 11 days since I moved in, and we still do not have a properly functioning AC unit. Despite multiple promises from the maintenance team to fix it and provide us with a portable AC as a temporary solution, nothing has been done so far. Every time I call the management office to inquire about the status of the repairs, I am met with reassurances that the issue will be resolved promptly. However, these promises never materialize, and I continue to suffer in the unbearable heat. To make matters worse, the management team keeps claiming that they are looking for ways to compensate me for the inconvenience caused. However, no compensation has been provided or even discussed in concrete terms. It is frustrating to constantly hear empty promises without any action to back them up.Another major concern is the lack of emergency maintenance services. In a situation like this, where the AC is essential for our well-being, it is shocking to learn that there is no provision for emergency maintenance. This shows a lack of care and consideration for the residents comfort and safety.Overall, my experience at this apartment complex has been nothing short of a nightmare. The absence of a functioning AC, broken promises from the maintenance team, and the failure of management to provide any meaningful compensation have made my stay unbearable. I would strongly advise anyone considering renting here to look for alternatives that prioritize their residents comfort and well-being.
Money hungry, lack empathy, just plain selfish. Economy sucks and companies are laying off people left right and center but if I want to buyout a lease for a $1275 apartment I have to pay $4700. $4700!!!! Despite knowing we needed to move 30+ days in advance they made 0 effort to help us find a tenant to take over the lease because they wanted to take our money and get another tenant in to double dip. We’re paying rent and light at an apartment we don’t even live in anymore. Won’t even mention the terrible mandatory valet trash service, the terrible new management that has done everything they can to ruin the place. Thank God for a good maintenance team at least. Management went from great when I moved in March 2023 to terrible a year later with this new management. I would leave 0 stars if I could honestly. Never been more happy to leave a complex in my life. Just terrible.
If there were negative stars I would leave them.Absolute nightmare of a year living at Lantower (now Avita). Our cars were broken into several times, and finally, one of my vehicles was stolen from the garage (the gates never function).Loitering activities are absolutely disgusting. Non-residents breaking through the fence, partying on the grounds all night, leaving alcohol bottles everywhere. No sense of safety or security. I have lived in less desirable situations and felt more secure. The management is first class rude. Non communicative, unless they want something from you.Best thing we did was leave. We were timely paying tenants that followed the rules and accommodated anything the staff needed.DO NOT MOVE HERE. It looks lovely, and the layouts are in fact fantastic-however you will not be able to enjoy a moment.God bless the maintenance staff. They are incredible despite being overworked and understaffed.Oh, and if you want even a cent of your deposit back, start by not initiating a contract to begin with. Anything you do get returned, do not expect to be refunded in a timely manner.
Really bad repair response from the management. When you take your tour make sure you ask how long the roof and eves have been torn up at the parking garage. I took this picture and requested a repair May 23. Ask how long the secure parking gate has been wide open 24/7 and not able to close. The correct answer is most of the time for the last 5 months. Cars have been broken into. Ask how long anyone could walk in and out the broken east gate 24/7. Repairs take SEVERAL MONTHS if ever to happen and the response is always 2 weeks - the Pool?!?!? Find some other place that takes pride in their property.
We moved to Avita 3 months ago and are very pleased with our living experience. Our apartment is in great condition, is very nice, and feels like a home! Maintenance responds quickly within 24 hours for non-emergency issues. We rarely need to place work orders which is a nice bonus! Management communicates well to the residents. As apartment renters in AHISD, Avita is our favorite!
Would advise against moving here, plain and simple. They try to milk every dollar out of their tenants and find every reason to steal from you. Most recently they charged us for house keeping and carpet cleaning when we moved out, the apartment was spotless when we moved out. Good riddance to them though, never again.
I feel very lucky that I ended up at Avita Alamo Heights apartments. I moved from out of state and not knowing much about the area I was a little nervous to say the least. The staff has been very considerate about my feelings and guided me through the move in process with ease. When I arrived everything was perfect. The apartment was beautiful and clean. I love all the amities and the staff has been professional and courteous every time I have had questions or concerns. The maintenance crew has been helpful, timely, and courteous. The surrounding area has everything available and very convenient. I couldn’t ask for a better place to call home.
I love living here. Its such a nice, clean, quite place to live. Great location to grocery stores and the interstate. Maintenance is quick when putting in a work order. Office staff is great to work with also and very friendly. I would recommend anyone to check them out and stay there. Definitely, the best apartment I stayed in.
BEWAREThere is only two reasons why they get one star, one because I can’t give zero, and two because the maintenance staff does a good job. But management is horrible. They are constantly having people either quit, be fired or transferred. This means there is never any consistency. The only way to get anything done from management is to complain for 2 months and then get furious and either leave bad reviews or go down in person. My dog has been attacked two times and they tried blaming me for entering the dog play ground (I wasn’t in the dog play ground), my car got broken into and when I tried to see the security footage to make a police report they asked if a I had a warrant (as if I’m the government, probably meant a subpoena), packages got misdelivered and we tried to give the package to the front office but they wouldn’t take it so we had to deliver it ourselves. There is frequent criminal activity such as stolen packages, broken in cars, and drug use. Additionally, they are now not responding to multiple service requests and emails and calls to fix the AC issue in our apartment for the past 2 months. And to top it all off if you do get ahold of the manager she interrupts and assumes what you were going to say (wrongly) and then blames you.Only have had bad experiences with management.UPDATE:This is an unsafe apartment complex. The front gate has been broken for over 6 months. Cars have been broken into. Now the security cameras were spray painted black. I called to see what was being done and they said maintenance was scraping of the paint. When asked if they knew who did it and if they have reviewed the security footage, the answer was well we think the people would not have shown their face. You think? So I asked again, did you review the security footage? Honestly maam, no we have not.I asked if they called the police and made a report. They answered no.I asked if they were going to notify residents of this intentional act that may put their property at risk or their own safety and life. They said they would have to talk to their attorney and see what they were required to do.I ask if they would add a security guard or any additional security measures would be taken, they said the apartment complex cannot guarantee anyones safety, but you can call the curtesy officer or police. But even the police cant guarantee your safety. I dont think anyone is asking for a guarantee but we do expect to be notified when there are unsafe conditions in or around our home and something to be done other than scraping paint off.
Love the vibe of these apartments! Pool is awesome and there’s a nice gym, and lounge area! Shout out to Kayle for being super helpful! ☺️
Nice apartment. Great parking. Love our courtyard!
I’ve had a really good experience thus far at Lantower Alamo Heights. The staff are very friendly and on top of anything you need help with. The staff put together events each month at the complex for all residents to join. The amenities are nice and kept clean. If you need maintenance on your apartment, they are quick to fix whatever issue you may have. The apartment complex itself is very quiet and I rarely ever hear any of my neighbors. The apartments are nice inside and overall I have enjoyed my stay so far.
Ewwwww! They don’t replace the carpets after previous tenant lived there over 4yrs. They just take the deposit and charge an $85 carpet cleaning fee. Gross! Do not move here. This is just one of many disgusting practices you will experience living under management of Regency. Oh and BTW, you aren’t able to contact Regency via email to address any of your concerns. The front office just lies through their teeth with a smile on their face stating, there is no way to contact property management only the Avita front office email is available. So glad my 4yrs is up and I served my time there!
This place was pretty decent before the new management team came in they are extremely rude and very unwelcoming when you walk into the office they are always on their phones and constantly wear revealing clothing like we dont have kids or elderly people on this property… when they came to replace the old management team I knew it was time to move …. So that’s what I did. I recently just moved out. I currently still have access to my apartment as my lease doesn’t end till end of month I had them do a walk through before I moved out they didnt do one after I moved out but I took video to cover my end and I spoke with two of the girls a taller one (I don’t remember her name) and Kimberly I told them both I know Rent is due on the third. However I let Kimberly Serros know on the 29th that I would pay my rent on the fifth and I understand it is due on the third.however my check hits on the 5th Her reply was OK. It’s no problem. It’s really close that shouldn’t be a problem. And I replied so do I have to sign anything she said no it will be fine then I went to pay my rent on the 5th like I said i would and . I see that they added all these extra fees that I’ve never even heard of before. Like a tenant income miscellaneous fee of $35 and A late charge of $157 and some change .When in my lease that I signed says . I will be charged $100 if late I drove from Dallas back down to SA to finish my move and hand my keys even though I still technically have the apartment until end if month and when I went back and walked in I see a notice on the inside of my apartment door meaning they came in with out notice as the apartment is still mine .. so i go to talk to kim I told her you entered my apartment to put an eviction notice on the inside of the door the very day after Rent was due in which technically is still my place even though i moved my belongings out she said rent is due on the third and on the fourth. We have to put an eviction notice on the door…. absolutely insane once I went to talk to her. About the fees. And how we already spoke she said yes, when you’re late, there’s fees. This is our protocol when it was my absolute last months rent. I’ve never had a problem with rent never been late never went to complain about anybody never caused any problems two days behind on my rent they could have worked something out I mean I did tell Kim ahead of time and not once did she say anything about any of the fees just yes it will not be a problem… like I said they’re not very friendly and not very welcoming at all. It wouldn’t be such a bad place if management wasn’t so nasty.maybe replace management with some more professional individuals would help cause good customer service from the last team was why i chose to rent there in the first place ..very sad I wanted to renew until this management team took over absolutely horrible and I know im not getting my deposit back as they never even discussed my deposit just telling me about all the fees for the clean up that are also mandatory
We moved here in the middle of August 2022. We originally were going to move into a little larger 2 bedroom on the third floor, but my wife had been experiencing some knee pain climbing up to our 2nd story, old apartment and we ask Brittany, our leasing agent, if we could change to a two bedroom on the first floor. She found us an apartment in building 1 that was perfect for us. She even got us the special that was in effect at the time which saved us $500 off our first months rent. Our apartment looks out on the pool (which is a terrific amenity). We love the location and the apartment is modern with a huge, open kitchen and stainless appliances. Maintenance and the managers are very responsive and Brittany is a wonderful leasing agent. Yes, living in the Alamo Heights area is more expensive, but the premium we pay is worth it (the rent is consistent with current market rates). So far, we love living here.
Caprice and Jeanette came together as a dream team and processed me through a lease (cold walk in to keys in hand) in a couple hours. I had a situation where I needed to move in fast and they took care of me. Previous email interactions with them have been pleasant and quick to respond. Caprice tailored the perfect apartment arrangement together for me in my situation. Im happy about management and feel like they are a breath of fresh air compared to other apartments Ive seen in the past. The apartment itself is very nice. It was built in 2015 so everything is fairly new and built well and it feels that way. I am happy with the way everything looks and functions. Cant wait to see the brand new pool theyre putting in, it finishes in Jan 2022.
There is a terrible issue with the trash. The smell in the left side of the building is pretty bad.The community gates stop working at least once a week.Went to the clubhouse/ gym in the morning at 6am and bumped to a homeless walking around speaking to himself.Security of residents is definitely not a priority for this apartment complex. With the raise of break ins at the property.
The new management team is amazing in comparison to the previous team. Kim, the assistant manager has been a pleasure to work with. She is responsive, friendly and worked with us to ensure our relocation was quick & easy.
I have to say, this by far has been the best staff and place I’ve ever lived in. I moved in last July didn’t want to write a review until I was ready to resign/leave. And man, what a great decision it has been.Nothing beats the staff, especially one in particular stood out, Rachel Schlinke’s with her professionalism and work ethic. She was my leasing agent and you can tell this employee just genuinely cares. She’ll go the extra mile for you even when you’ve already moved in, she always has a contagious smile on her face and helps you with any issues or delivery’s you had.As far as the place goes:Great pool, only recommendation is I wish they regulated water temp for the winter swimmers that don’t mind the cold.Amenities and everything else exceeded expectations like the staff.Besides my dishwasher not working to it’s capacity, that’s literally the only complaint I have about the place.Super modern apartments for the right price. Neighbors never bothered me, no odd odors, unusual activity. If you’re young and single, this place is great
Just moved in and it is one of the cleanest and most put-together apartment complexes I’ve rented with. The office staff are super friendly and always in the office during open hours to help out and they even have a mobile app to keep residents up to date with announcements, like an online bulletin board. 5/5 keep it up lantower!!EDIT 11/17/2020: I have left the apartment complex. The staff (Rachel, Elizabeth esp.) are great. But the building is woefully unsecured (we had our car broken into in the middle of the attached garage, entrance gate is always broken & open), our neighbors called security at the slightest noise (we had 3 guests over for poker one night...no fun allowed), our AC unit couldn’t keep our inside cooler than 85degrees and they refused to fix. For the money it costs to rent here, it’s incredibly lacking. Dropping my 5 stars to 2.
I could not be happier. The maintenance service is spot on. The people in the Leasing Office are absolutely wonderful. They take the time to get to know their neighbors. Ive lived here a year now, and just signed another two-year lease. The location is PERFECT. The complex is clean, quiet, and beautifully landscaped. I strongly recommend Lantower Alamo Heights (formerly, 327 W. Sunset Apartments) to anyone looking for a new place to rent. Erin, Rachel, Amy, and Elizabeth each go out of their way to make sure those who call this home, are made to feel like family.
I moved here in March of this year and from the start this has been a great experience. The front staff are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and the maintenance crew is top-notch and has been quick to fix the issues that Ive had. The complex itself is very quiet and the apartments are super nice - I love the size of the kitchen!
We stopped in on a Saturday without an appointment. Caprice offered us water and told us we would be next. She showed the apartment next to the one we were thinking about renting and it was nice - ground floor and the move in date would work without having too much overlap between the apartment we would be leaving and the new apartment. The new pool was beautiful and the property looked nice. We ended up renting a great 1st floor apartment.
I drove from Orlando Florida to San Antonio, Texas after seeing 2 apartments on opposite sides of town and after the customer the poor customer service I experienced from each each complex I kind of felt like maybe San Antonio wasn’t a place for me however, I then pulled into this complex”AVITA” just to see a two bedroom apartment and a lady by the name of Brittany came around the corner and said I will gladly show you around, asked what we were looking for and my wife and i told her and she showed us a couple of the beautiful apartments on a gorgeous property. She did give us the heads up that it’s all new management and they’re doing a slight turnaround for the better and her customer service and her hospitality was absolutely amazing. I’ve never experience hospitality to that level from any apartment office ever I’m 1,000,000% sure. I want make AVITA my home in San Antonio.cause of the hospitality from Brittany set an amazing person I have in the office
Avita Alamo heights apartments is a comfortable living area, friendly people, affordable rent, and a beautiful view. Avita brings in networking opportunities, resources, and different mix and mingle activities with free luncheons. I love it here! The pool is amazing always kept clean!
I moved here in May 2020, right in the middle of COVID. Personally, I have not had any negative experiences and I love this place. The apartment itself looks amazing and has a lot of nice finishes. The amenities are great, and the maintenance staff is seriously top notch. Anything I have asked for gets done the next day. Location is amazing as well.At first, many of the things that classify the property as luxury were not being attended to the way they should. Hard to tell if this was COVID related or not. The new manager Andrea has been amazing at organizing fun resident events and making sure the property gets the attention that it should. Overall, I highly recommend Lantower.
Avita is so awesome! The office staff is so friendly, willing to help anyway they can, explain things in detail and that, I appreciate! Even when I have issues I feel the response times are exceptional and very professional. Im impressed.I also have seen they are adding new things and upgrading the property, so Im excited to see how it can be even better than it already is?! Thank you for all you do and happy to be a part of the community!
I am absolutely and completely satisfied with the service and special treatment I have received from Elizabeth Castillo since the first time I moved in. I was welcomed and she immediately made me feel at home. The first time I lived here for year, Elizabeth and Erin were always been attentive and always so nice each and every time I stopped by the office. Never had any issues and always felt safe and at home. I moved out for personal reasons and for the same had to start looking for a place again. Although my heart wanted to come back I still gave myself the opportunity to look around but the top treatment and experience I had with Elizabeth was definitely hard to find. Doesn’t exist. I am back and was again welcomed with open arms and am absolutely 110% happy and satisfied. Thank you so much Elizabeth Castillo and also Erin for being so awesome and amazing!!!
I waited for month 10 of my 13 month lease to write this review. Needless to say we will not be renewing. You pay for luxury apartments here but the only luxury thing is the name Alamo Heights. Only reason I gave 2 stars was for the location. Perfect for just about anything. From the beginning of our lease we had problems with office staff. We were told we would be getting a walk in shower and when we arrived we had a garden tub, so we wanted to see about switching units since it was day 1 and nothing was in our unit yet. The office staff girl Kym who is no longer there said, well do you have it in writing that I said your unit has a walk in shower. With that rude help we were stuck in our unit with no apologizes or assistance given. Fast forward to today, you still cant get ahold of office staff. They dont reply to their own system messages, and with covid going on Im not sure how to go about with my issues. For instance, there is a feral cat problem. Not so lovely residents will feed these things and they go around knocking over the valet trash cans or poop on door mats. Twice this week Ive come out to poop so I would like to speak with them but there is no easy way to do so.The property: Dog park is okay! The buildings are 5 years old. Never have I seen a pest control person but we pay for it, and there are spider webs and other crawlers in our hallways. Gates are never working properly. My boyfriends car has been broken into, he walked out when the guy just busted the window... thief sped off and went out the gates just fine because they were open and not working properly. Had they been my boyfriend wouldve caught up to him to at least get a plate #. Cameras have gone up in parking garage, because of the number of thefts. From windows like ours being broken to actually vehicles leaving the property and not returning. However, now with their packages left on your doorstep policy more people are being exposed to the crime when their own personals are stolen at their door. Sketchy people are all around this complex. As I walked my dog I was approached to buy a mans vibrator, which he proceeds to raise up and show me. As a girl who does walk her dog frequently it would feel nice to feel safe around the whole complex but I dont. Very small parts I do, dont get me wrong but I have to have protection on me!For the amount of money we pay this doesnt feel luxurious at all.
My boyfriend and I love this apartment complex so much for a variety of reasons. The staff at the front office and the maintenance crew are all very attentive to your needs. Your concerns will always be addressed in a timely manner. The parking garage is our favorite amenity and the apartment itself is just beautiful! We really enjoy living here and could not be more pleased with choosing Lantower Alamo Heights as our home.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! The dogs bark constantly! There has been a dog locked on its balcony 2249 for the last 2 weeks that has been barking day and night. I called the management and nothing has been done. Not sure how you are supposed to sleep when there is a dog barking till 3am. Cant wait to move out!
5 star experience! From the touring process all the way through the move in process, the Avita team makes it professionally easy! Kim and Kaylie are very attentive and have really good communication skills!
LOVE THIS PLACE!The leasing office staff is AWESOME. So personable and helpful. Maintenance here is quick on completing repairs. The grounds are always clean. My apartment is the perfect amount of space and I am highly satisfied with every aspect of it. Truly an awesome complex with awesome people.Update -3yr anniversaryI used to really enjoy this property. But since Lantower has taken over its been down hill. My two main reasons for living here has been stripped from me, the pool and security of belongings. Its sad when other communities provide disinfectant supplies for the common areas and Lantower just shut ours down. Nothing, for the most used room in the entire property (mail room). If you were really were concerned for our health then why arent there any sanitation supplies for our use in the mail room entry? More people go there than the pool or the grills.Anyways, the amenities are what bring you here but they are taken away just as fast. I really would like to be here long term but my truck has been broken into 3 times now and this last time i had over 4k of tools stolen. The gate should be taken off because its been broken literally 90% of the time Ive been here. Save some money there and get a security guard.Dont think im just venting, i really think this place could be The Pinnacle here in Alamo heights. Ive been active with the past managers, so much that i actually have control of the lock for the patio lights in building two. I would go out and turn them off when left on late at night.I use the business center regularly and the pool for my back rehab, I have 5 herniated discs. Now that Lantower arrived, that access has been denied to me. This change has increased the pain to my back and me needing steroid injections.Besides the above its really been disappointing when i see the pile of trash overflowing onto the steps by the dumpster, every sat, really? So as of right now i would say my home has the best of both worlds, the look of class but the goings on of the hood. At over 1,100 a month plus the 4k in stolen tools, Im starting to question my heart and loyalties.
Liked living there for the most part - nice amenities in the apartment and its a good construction, could never hear my neighbors. Office management was nice while I was there, but after moving out there were charges that I was not properly notified about before they submitted it as a late payment to collections. I did not receive any mail, email, or a call from 327 Sunset letting me know there was a move out balance, and had no idea about the charges until I got a late notice from collections. Very upset that I was not contacted at least via email or phone about the remaining balance.
I love the staff they are amazing. The apartments are OK definitely not worth the high price. We are basically paying for the area. The things that I love are. It is very quiet you really never ever see other people, the club house and pool area is very pretty. The things that I do not like..... There is not an elevator for every section, I have to walk down 4 levels of the parking garage if I have to take my baby with me to the gym or to check the mail if I have to take her stroller. Definitely not safe at all because people drive crazy through the parking garage. I also do not like the the washer and dryer that come In the units i never see any kids, probably because there is no where for them to play nothing for them to do so that sucks. If I choose to renew my lease it would be because if the amazing staff.
Just Moved in. Caprice was and is excellent to work with. She showed us the apartment , gave us a guided tour and we were hooked! We applied months ago and have been communicating back and forth with caprice. Over all experience is very good. Office staff are very attentive and friendly. We are loving our new home!Esteban S.
I highly recommend this place. The quarry, 281 hwy, the airport and Grocery stores close by. My apartment is great, love that they come with a washer and a dryer. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. Amy, Erin, Elizabeth and Rachel are wonderful. Been living here for a while now and have enjoyed it and will plan on renewing my lease. The only problem is the front gate keeps having issues. Thanks to the Idiots that constantly hit it. Over all, this place is amazing.
I have lived at 327 Sunset for over a year and have been very pleased. Location is ideal, the community is the best/newest in the area, and the management is great. The new management throws numerous events and has spent a lot of time making sure we feel welcome. Response times are immediate. The amenities are the best in Alamo Heights and the apartments are the most modern around. Our apartment came with a Nest thermostat and an Amazon Echo. Very convenient.Solid gym, cool indoor/outdoor kitchen area, and a parking garage.Definitely recommend 327 Sunset.
This is a great place to live except in the summer. From my master bedroom I can hear the music blaring from the pool area and this is during the day ! It gets worse at night, especially weekend nights, and the pool hour rules are not enforced. If you go north during the summer, live here, otherwise it may be not so good an idea.
While there are a few things that are not my favorite about this place, I will say that, the current management has shown true improvement and dedication to provide a solution based result to my custom experience.
I’ve lived at this apartment since November and have had a great experience with Elizabeth and the staff. They have quickly addressed any issue that I had and were professional in all aspects. The amenities are great and the apartment living quarters are upscale. Great location from downtown. I personally like that the garage is attached to the apartment on each level, very convenient.
I lived at this place for a year. I should have known it would have been a terrible experience. After my first day of moving in and the leasing agent didn’t know if they’re units had tubs or not. But I forgave them since it was a temp. They moved me units to give me what I wanted but jacked up the price. After living there almost a year I noticed my water bill was extra high anywhere from 60-100 dollars. They gave me a discount and I thought all was good. But guess what I received a final bill after month of being out of there. Since I moved out of there before my final day, since I found a new place. And guess what my water bill was over $80 dollars when I lived there for 10 days the last month. This place just wants all your money.UPDATE: Erin has reached out to me about some of the issues I place on my review for Lantower Alamo Heights. They realized their mistake with my water bill and fixed it. And they wanted to listen to more of my concerns so they can improve. I have to say Erin, Amy and Rachel are wonderful people who truly care about theyre tenants to be happy. I have adjusted my review from 1 star to 3 stars since for those 3 ladies who truly care about it.
Update! Now that Ive been here a few months I am changing my review to 2 stars. My bike was stolen. Weve had ongoing issues with neighbors leaving trash bags out without the bin or overnight which results in animals creating messes in the hallways. The pool seems to be closed often during the week for cleaning, photos. broken glass.... There should be a published schedule for maintenance and it shouldnt take half or full day. Perhaps Mondays from 8am-10am or 8-10pm is a good time so those who want day use arent affected. My bicyle was stolen. Very upsetting since the day before I reported some conspicuous people hanging around the parking garage and bike area and the management didnt take any action - they emailed a response about a week later apologizing they didnt respond. Erin the mgr said she requested the upper mgt to refund me for the loss bike but was denied. I was also denied commission when I am a REALTOR with an apartment locating business but was told by Upper Management that they dont pay on tenants who represent themselves. I think the girls in the office are trying. I think the Upper Management is not doing everything they can do to make this place safe.I love this place - both for the property and the management. I lived here previously with Roscoe as management and was let out due to some bad choices they made to increase occupancy. Now, with Lantower self-managing and oddly enough with the same staff, these gals (including Ms. Elizabeth Castillo) are making it a true joy to live here. The communication is clear and frequent. They team is cheerful and efficient. The property is being updated and I truly appreciate the cleanliness. Ive been here for only a few weeks after a 1. 5 year gap. I am hoping I will be writing a new review when Ive been here a few months with even more improvements & as they said, social events back on the calendar.
These are by far the nicest apartments Ive ever lived in. The quality is phenomenal. I feel very safe and the management at the office is top notch. Amy is Great. Shes very friendly and always seems to make everyone smile in the main office. Love these apartments and plan on living here for as long as they will have me.
I am so overwhelmed with the level of customer service we have received from Rachel, Kym and Erin. They have been so helpful and understanding, throughout our recent transfer. They made the process so much more pleasant than expected, as this was an already very stressful time for my family. I dont want to leave out how attentive the maintenance staff has been when we have needed repairs, which is also a huge reason why we appreciate Lantower Alamo Heights so much!!
Really Enjoying My Stay!!... These luxury apartment are very pleasing to the eye... not to mention, the amenities, are definitely above and beyond. The pool, workout facility, coffee machine and grill area, are just a few of my favorite things about this place. I have been here for already (4) months and the apartment staff have been Great!! The multiple activities that they put together on a monthly bases, are well thought of & enjoyable... I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone & everyone!!
I just moved into this apartment complex and I am in love!! I love that there’s a gym and an area to hang out with friends. I love the storage space in the apartment unit itself (especially in the bathroom). I love the counter space in the kitchen, it makes meal prepping so much easier!!! I recommend this place because you get your money’s worth with the amenities Lantower offers.
I had my bank account hacked and the management here were very understanding. They are absolutely the most caring professional property management Ive ever seen. Amy is awesome! I also like the modern open concept livingroom, the property is very beautiful, Im from Ohio and everything is new for me here. The property is very safe and clean! Your property ranks right up with what Ive grown to be accustom to!
Save yourself the stress and avoid this place completely.327 Sunset is the most tragic example of management and customer service skills in San Antonio and the place is drastically overpriced. The apartments are beautiful, but superficially so. The quality is terrible and the service is worse. Ive only lived there 6 months, and have had to place 17 (yes, 17) work orders for maintenance and service-related issues.Issues have been consistent and ill-handled. Fire alarms went off in the middle of the night for 2-3 hours at a time, I plugged in my dryer the first day there and it shorted out the apartment (that alone should have been a sign), weve had wasps come out of the air vents in the apartment and even after telling the staff how allergic I am I still got this response, We apologize for the inconvenience. Our pest control will be out sometime this week or next week. The builders ran our cable connection in the living room into the floor and after 3 months of consistently attempting to get a resolution, we ended up cutting open part of the wall and fixing it ourselves. Not to mention the fact that our A/C has gone out for days at a time and the only answer I got after calling the emergency maintenance line TWICE, putting in a work order myself, and asking for a window unit to get us by was the staff telling me Were sorry, the A/C company cannot come out until Monday. That would have been great to know when I called the first time to report the issue and-you guessed it-NEVER GOT THE WINDOW UNIT. Same situation earlier this year when we had 100 degree weather. Baseboards underneath the kitchen cabinets can fall off at any time, had a leak in our restroom above the tub that permanently stained it....you know, the usual. Ah, I forgot to mention, it doesnt seem to matter what the issue is or how urgent, every work request I have put in has taken 3-4 days (if not longer) to complete.Mix all this fun in with the nonchalant and complacent attitude of the office and youve got yourself someone who will never refer someone to these facilities, nor renew their lease.
Moved here back in June of 21. Ive been impressed with the leasing and maintenance team here at Lantower. Quick to respond, and they look for ways to improve the community. If looking to be near Alamo Heights at a fair price, keep Lantower on your radar!
Portico Property Management obtained management of 327 Sunset Alamo Heights in April 2017. We know this community has received many very poor reviews and we are working diligently to make improvements based on the feedback provided. As Portico Property Management, we assure you that our commitment is to our residents, and we are dedicated to providing outstanding quality, service, and value. We work hard every day to provide the best living experience for our residents. We even honor this with our 30-day guarantee. If you are not satisfied for any reason within the first 30 days of living with us, we will let you out of your lease, no questions asked. Portico Property Management has an overall resident satisfaction score of 8.0 out of 10. This is .66% higher than the national average, and we are consistently striving to reach that perfect 10 mark.
327 Sunset, now Lantower Alamo Heights was a great choice. Elizabeth from the very beginning has been so helpful and will convince you to lease with them. She’s so great and helpful!Josh from maintenance has gone above and beyond to fix our apt needs. He is so friendly and kind. We really are happy with choosing this location.
My husband and I have been touring apartments all week in San Antonio and we made our final stop at Lantower Alamo Heights.Where we had the pleasure of meeting Jeanette. She did an amazing job giving us a tour and assisting us with all the applications process. We are looking forward our new apartment. Thank you Jeanette for making us feel welcome. My rate : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
DO NOT LIVE HERE. If you are looking for an honest, professional and reliable apartment complex, this is not your choice! Here’s a quick rundown of our experience at Lantower Alamo Heights thus far:On move in day, the A/C was BROKEN. Yes, broken. We called the front desk and a staff member stated “sorry at the moment we cannot do anything, the maintenance is not on call today, plus we can only call them if it’s an emergency. An emergency is classified as the temperature of the apartment being 80 degrees”. Our room was at 79 degrees so clearly, we did not require attention. Not too long ago, Elizabeth told us the fee to mount a satellite was $500.00. Upon review of our contract we saw that is was actually $200.00. We confronted the staff and they apologized for the confusion, claiming Liz did not know what the fees were. Liz was the individual who leased the apartment to us and reviewed the contract. Clearly we were deceived. On several occasions I have heard loud music playing from someone next door. I am not one to complain, so I did not mention it until today. Liz replies “it is not within quiet hours, therefore there is nothing much I can do”. I argued that it is not polite to have music playing that loud, lacking consideration for nearby neighbors. Elizabeth laughed. If I can hear the music clearly through the walls and as I walk by their front door, clearly the noise level is above average. The staff will be as friendly as can be, prior to moving in, but as soon as you sign that contract you become another resident, they have no regard for.Do not live here. For the amount of rent we pay monthly, we expect certain standards. Believe me, these standards are not met. Search elsewhere, this is not a place you can call home. Most importantly there are dishonest, rude, and inconsiderate staff members.
Overall I had a very pleasant experience living at 327 Sunset. Management is excellent in being responsive and willing to work with you to resolve any issues. The community itself is great for family or single minded residents and they provide a plethora of fun events that you can partake in throughout the year. Parking garage is convenient and easily accessible.
Be sure to read this before you rent!!!Weve been here for 7 months and what has made us want to live here was the location (being in alamo heights), back then they had a lot of community events and classes, hard floor in the living area, and a nice clubhouse. We did not get to see the actual apartment because back then maintenance could not keep up with their workload and the apartment was never ready. This floorplan was hardly available and not having the elevator in building two I had to sign the lease without seeing the unit. I regret this till this day because when we first moved in I noticed this house gets no sunlight AT ALL. I didnt know you can build a house that gets no sunlight.. So before you sign your contract make sure you see your unit. There are the goods and bads for every apartment but this community is not worth what you pay for. The rent is so high to be paying for POORLY built apartment. Our biggest complain is the noise. We live on the first floor and we can literally hear our neighbours conversation (not kidding), upstairs footsteps, furniture dragging, running... and if that isnt enough we can here the hallway door slamming and when its time for valet trash we hear their cart wheels when they are upstairs and on our floor. We had sooooo many sleepless nights because of these noises. We feel so sorry for the courtesy officer just imagining how many noise complains hell get. The good new is once we report to the courtesy officer, the noise clams down. I also feel sorry for the neighbours being asked to quite down when they were just talking in their house because the apartment walls are so THIN!!! Its bizarre.... Also our ceiling lights blink when upstair neighbour walks...Our bathrooms... We would have random days when out bathroom will be filled up with skunk like and weed like odour. We had back then maintenance come by to check and they could not find what was wrong and told me to call when the smell came back. It always happened over the weekend and maintenance was gone. After living with this stinky odour for 7 months the new maintenance came by and bleached & cleaned out the drain saying that should fix the problem. That was about a month ago and we havent had a problem yet but it happened randomly so the smell might come back...The gate... Gate is always broken and I hate the bar that they have. Our car roof has been hit by the bar because it only give few second for you to pass and does not have any sensor. They say it is to not tailgate and if they are so concerned about security, why is the gate always broken and open?I wasnt affected by this but I did notice one of the elevator in building one was down for about couple of months.. I know it was more than 2 (maybe for about 4 months?)and I heard some of the residents that lived in building 1 complain so much about this.Of course there are pros of living here. Id say the maintenance is pretty prompt and every staff is nice. We just had a new management and they are all nice. But you dont want to be living here because the ppl at the office are nice. The most important thing is the home you live in and the people that work at the office change often. Im not complaining about the managements work. The problem is beyond managements capability because the apartment is poorly built. I did enjoy communities yoga classes and their events, nice coffee machine, clubhouse, and sunset has many grills through the community. So its always available. The location is nice no doubt but we did have a incident where a car was broken into and one of residents garage was broken-in too.We are not noise sensitive because we had families and friends stayed our house and they all have complained about the noise. So if you cant stand upstairs footstep noise and hearing your neighbours laugh singing talking and still want to live at sunset, get top floor with no neighbours attached. I cant wait to move out. The apartment is definitely not worth the high rent and will not definitely refer sunset to anyone.Just look at google review
Being a new apartment complex, there will be some kinks that will get fixed. With the new management company coming, I have a positive outlook on whats to come. These apartments are luxury and thats why their expensive. I love my new apartment and plan on staying here. People will always complain when something bad happens- but never comment when things are good! Keep that in mind and lease at 327 Sunset!!!
Rude and unprofessional staff. Not sure if it was Sophia or Ericka we spoke with.. but they need a refresher on how to speak to people on the phone.
I’m relocating to San Antonio and these apartments came out on my apartment locator’s listing. I’ve tried for two days to get ahold the apartment complex via their office number, left two voicemails, and had my locator send them an email. They have yet to return my calls or my locator’s email.I would definitely not recommend living here if they are this hard to get ahold of. I can’t imagine what their tenants would have to go through just to have resident concerns taken care of.
Updating my review. Last night, 3.12.2021 I attended a wine tasting event organized by Andrea Klyn, new manager, her staff and Josh Schwencke, Gastonomy LIve Events. It was a fun and interactive event and many residents attended. Im sad to say that these positive changes and improvements are happening as Im moving to a condo I purchased. Andrea lives on-site and is implementing positive changes to return Lantower Apartments to the Luxury Complex is called. My experience has been overall a positive and enjoyable one and I highly recommend that you visit Lantower Luxury Apartments should you be looking for an awesome location in Alamo Heights, walking distance to the Alamo Quarry, many restaurants, pubs and medical facilities. Some of my favorite times were meeting folks at the awesome pool, the parking garage, the elevator in the main building, the apartment itself on the 4th floor, the friendly maintenance guys, Lou, Josh & Johnny whom have been here 2-3 years and their quick response to apartment repairs.
TL/DR Id recommend taking any reviews prior to April 2017 with a grain of salt, this is a good place to live.Im a longtime resident and have seen the management change twice at 327 Sunset. The old management treated treated the front office like musical chairs and issues never got fixed. Since Portico took over in April things are much better. Arik, Elizabeth, Melissa, Amy, Shana and the rest of the full-time staff do a great job of taking care of residents and common areas. Theyve made a lot of positive changes at this property and its been a great place to live since they took over. It actually feels like a home again.
Our residency began in Feb. 2022 at Lantower Alamo Heights. Since we’ve been here we have had great experience from Leasing Staff and Manager along with maintenance staff. Everyone is very courteous and prompt to any requests we’ve made. Great living!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We have made a mistake signing the lease here and definitely not renewing. We signed here because it is close to work and also close to shopping and other things. Ever since the new management had taken over, this plane is the worst. They ignore all maintenance request and will fix nothing. If you go to the front office to follow up, the property manager is indifferent and does not acknowledge the issue and says we are New and learning the process, just bear with us. It is not worth paying $2k in rent for a dump like this.
I‘ve lived at Lantower Alamo Heights for 5 years with no intentions of leaving. Property manager and staff are exceptional. Maintenance works with a sense of urgency. This is home for myself and my family.
Dont lease in 327 Sunset Alamo Heights Apartments. There is NO LUXURY in this building and is really expensive. First, many of the the A/C compressors are installed in the roof, top floors are not an option because the noise in unbearable and you cant sleep. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets are not installed properly, they used poor materials and there is no attention to detail (lots of gaps in the back-splash in the kitchen, in bathroom and kitchen cabinets, in baseboards and other areas, etc). If you are living facing the pool area, there is music ALL DAY (24/7) and you cant sleep either and when there is a party it gets worse. The landscaping and green areas are covered in dog poo even though theres pet stations (not enough, actually) because residents are too lazy to pick up after their dogs and if you make a complaint to Management (Roscoe Properties) they will apologize but they dont even try to fix the problem. Hallways and stairwells are dirty all the time (you can find bird poo and lots of dead bugs in hallways). NO maintenance in this building at all. The parking lot is so tight and there is lots of blind spots that if you dont honk your horn you will have a car accident at some point. Disappointing!
The staff is fabulous. Amy, Erin, Elizabeth and Rachel are very kind, knowledgable and always ready to help. The maintenance team is very friendly. It is a great location. The units are beautiful. The grounds are well maintained.Highly recommend living here.
My rent is on Auto pay, as it always has been since moving in April 2022. Earlier this month we received email about a program called “SmartRent”. Disregard because my rent is on autopay, checked app and payment still setup for autopay.Much to our surprise, “SmartRent” means we’re going to change your locks and AC thermostat!!Returned home from work today, locked out of our own apartment and forced to download app to now enter and change thermostat!!
Great deals and move in values, no true issues since my family has lived in there and more than happy to respond to requests. When my wife had an emergency while Ive been overseas, they were more than happy to look in after the property and take care of our pup. Grade A guys and gals!
Was thinking of applying here, went in and toured the place, seemed nice. They told me if I applied they would waive the application and admin fee. Put some feelers out for other apartments and decided to go with another place. They ended up charging me the application and admin fee because I did not commit to their place.I understand its a business but quite the shady practice. Would not recommend this place purely on the customer service I received. Kitchen space was nice though.
The gates are always broken meaning its not actually a gated community. My personal property was stolen and managements response was the gates were working by the end of the day. They have no accountability or security measures.I wish the apartments were soundproofed better because theres not much I cant hear from my next door and upstairs neighbors (seriously every SINGLE step taken from my upstairs neighbor). I spend a lot of money each month for this luxury apartment, however it appears as if the luxury ends at the counter tops and cabinet fixtures. We pay an extra premium for valet trash Sun-Thurs, but there are no repercussions for leaving heaps of trash outside apartment doors all weekend so the hallways often smell and its not pleasant strolling past garbage every weekend. Maintenance does fix any issues I have inside of my apartment, but its no where near as timely as you would expect. In my opinion, it is not worth the amount that they are charging for these units. If prices go up once again then I am definitely moving.
It was amazing we visited family in San Antonio area and they live at Lantower in Alamo Heights… the facility was immaculate, one of the best work out area’s super modern. Janie an employee approached us to make sure we had everything we needed or if she could assist us in anyway, very welcoming… seems like a great place to call home.
I am a current resident for almost a year. It was great when I started out but a lot of management changes made this into an unfriendly and lousy customer service. Valet trash does not get picked up and those loud fire alarms go off all the time. Elevator is out of service for almost 3 months. Office is closed or non responsive and they work bankers hours. Cant wait to get out but they played a bait and switch with my incentives. Not for professionals or families.
As a temporary resident, I wasnt expecting much when I signed a year-long lease with Lantower in regards to the quality of life and customer service I would receive. However, for the whopping price of rent this place charges, it is 100% not worth it. While Lantower looks nice on the outisde, it is very obvious that the materials used in the building are cheap. The walls in the building are so thin that its impossible to walk around in your room without alerting your nextdoor, downstairs, and upstairs neighbors. Apart from the walls, the rest of the amenities they provide are cheap and will break on you very frequently. Luckily, maintenance was competent, but the management that directed the maintenance team absolutely is not. Lantower just pisses me off because they charge so much money for such a mediocre product. If you are a fake person who likes fake materials and paying an absurd amount for that fakeness, Lantower is for you. if you want a reasonable price and management that will actually try to take care of your needs, I highly recommend you look elsewhere.
The best customer service Ive ever experienced as a renter at a large apartment complex. The few maintenance issues Ive had all were resolved the same day; the amenities (fitness center and pool) are second to none; and the location is ideal for Soldiers who are stationed at Fort Sam. I highly recommend this place.
Ive had a mixed time here. Issues with my lease renewal and promises made byManagers and people not responding to things that put my family at risk of health issues was hard to navigate with changing management. Loved the original managers I worked with but didn’t appreciate my lease agreement being changed with management without notice.
During our search for a new place, we narrowed it down to 327 Sunset and the Residences at La Cantera. We opted for 327 based on location, and are happy with the choice. There have been some hiccups, but the office staff and maintenance team have been quick to address our issues. While we dont participate in any of the activities offered, its nice to know theyre available, should we decide to join in the fun. The staff is good about email communication regarding upcoming community maintenence/service, so thats a plus. Theyre always nice when I go in, and helpful to address my needs. If it werent for the early-on issues, this would be a 5 star review. 10 months in, and we still like it.....thats pretty good if you ask me!
I’m so glad that I moved in to 327 Sunset! Ive spent all summer by the pool. Management is always friendly and when my AC went out last week, someone was out to fix it the same day. Definitely renewing my lease.
The fire alarm went off at midnight on Tuesday night and didnt get turned off until 1:00 am. This has happened several times this year. And then I receive this email from after supposedly having fixed the issue with the fire alarm months ago:Last night we had maintenance as well as the fire department on property trying to resolve an issue concerning the alarm systems going off. We apologize that this was an after-hours disturbance but we are working hard to resolve the issue. What was discovered was a water pressure drop causing the sprinkler system to send a faulty signal to the fire alarm system thinking there was a fire when in actuality there was no fire.Another issue that many may have come across when trying to contact the office was not getting through to the answering service, all calls were rerouted due to an overwhelming number of calls at the same time. We would also like to apologize for the inability to communicate to you at the moment of the issue, but we had a Maintenance staff member on property working with the Fire Team trying to resolve it as soon as they could. Unfortunately it took a bit longer than expected but we are trying to ensure the same issue does not occur again. Thank You.Thanks Roscoe Property management! Why are you just now discovering this issue after supposedly resolving all these issues with multiple inspections?
Hi,I am resident of lantower property since 2016 (327 W sunset RD, San antonio, Texas - 78209).On 31st Oct 2021 I moved out from the apartment #2277, After that On 4th Nov I had received the signed and all signature statement from Lantower stating the final account statement. But Later Lantower sent the another final statement which is having all disputed charges and I sent registered mail to Lantower property but no one is responsing. This is really bad soceity and no one from management is taking care of residents and at the time of leaving putting disputed charges on the residents. Its mentally harassments soceity.ThanksBhupesh Khurana
This place changes management and staff nearly as often as I buy groceries... Obviously a slight exaggeration, but not by much. The gates have been broken since most recent management has taken over and theres always some excuse why its not fixed, and I know it doesnt take nearly a year to fix some faulty gates and replace the sally port arms. Dont even get me started on their lack of enforcement of community policies, trash is left out in every hallway except the one from the management office to the model unit. They like to tow cars without warning and try to blame it on residents, but refuse to enforce the security thats advertised at lease signing while cars are vandalized left and right. Lastly, this is NOT luxury apartments... Spend a moment looking closely at the build quality, youll quickly see how EVERY corner was cut to build as fast as possible while saving as much money as possible, for goodness sake windows and walls are crooked, and you can hear your neighbor pull their shower curtain. Save yourself from this place while you can, hopefully youre lucky enough to read these reviews BEFORE you move in rather than after and youre only here to tell everyone how horrible your experience was.
I truly appreciated the professionalism of the leasing agent Rachel. She’s done a phenomenal job of providing me with the information I needed as a first time leaser. I look forward to having her and the rest of the staffs support during my tenure at Lantower!
AMENITIES, LOCATION, FRIENDLY STAFF!!!Going on my 5th month here at 327, and I LOVE it here...the amenities are top-notch, its a hop, skip and jump away from The Quarry, and the staff is always attentive to my needs (thanks Rodrigo for always making me feel like a VIP)...they even have functions for their residents such as: Movie Night; Painting-with-a-Twist; and Boot Camp/Water Aerobics...but the icing on the cake is the parking garage - perfect for those days when its 105 degrees outside...
Great place for first couple months but things quickly went downhill. Its a nice place to live dont get me wrong, but its absolutely not worth what I pay to live here. Im a current resident and cant wait for my lease to be up. The office ppl are all salesman and only care about getting a contract signed. Dont be fooled by the signing bonus and incentives.
Ive only been here for a short period of time, but since my move my vehicle was broken into including several other vehicles. You pay an outrageous amount and think you have left the ghetto. Unfortunately it finds you. We have asked the office to set up cameras in the parking garage since that is where a lot of us park but they dont. They say cameras are used for them not us. Inconveniently as I pay 1500 a month I no longer feel safe... This no longer feels like a home. I lived at the iron horse valley apartments and left because of stupid stuff like this. Over there it is expected, I never expected it here. And you would think the office would take care of their tenants and set up cameras to hopefully minimize the crime here. As Im typing this I am sitting in front of another victims vehicle. Black dodge challenger on blocks with a busted window. Yes on cinder blocks. They took his tires and broke into his vehicle.
The Best apartments around hands down. The Manager spoke with me personally and she is fantastic. Love the parking and the interior of the apartment is spectacular. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in a modern upscale experience.
I wanted to give absolute praise to Jeannette Solano at Lantower Alamo Heights! She has been such a breath of fresh air of taking care of anything and everything in a timely manner. Her gracious and friendly hospitality and sincerity reflects what she continues to bring to Lantower and I absolutely appreciate her hard work and communication on all fronts. Kudos Jeannette!
The property has undergone new management and I really love all the new initiatives theyve been rolling out. The leasing staff is great and they take care of you right away. Very happy I chose to live here!
The 5 stars reviews are Funny! I’m sure they gave them some type of special or gift card for leaving a 5 star review. The management here needs to get replaced , they are snakes. They act all friendly but always lying or making up excuses for their poor managing skills. Water heater is cheap and small. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to “enjoy a hot shower for 10-15min” The hot water lasts up to 5 minutes then starts to turn warm -cold . Break-ins are always happening here in thís “ luxury & safe community. “ I give some credit to Liz , she Acts genuine and acts like she actually cares about her job and us residents. had to revise my review, meant to say Elizebeth instead of Erin. Erin is rude.
Great property with an even better staff. Andrea has brought a level of service to the property that the residents and I all enjoy. Close to downtown and in the center of a lot of great shopping, golf and San Antonio attractions
I Love 327 Sunset. I want to talk about Rodrigo Perez and his presentation. He is AWESOME!!! He truly cares about the clients . He ask tons of questions about what you want ,He listens and then he gives you the best guided tour of why you should choose 327... He goes out of his way to make sure he has met all your needs... This is what we call A GREAT LEASING AGENT!!! You know once your done you have a place to call home...He is definitely a asset to 327 Sunset...Thank You Rodrigo:Diana
I have lived here about a year and really like it here. Management staff is friendly and helpful and Maintenance team always resolves my maintenance issues quickly. The property is clean and well taken care of.
Janie Abou-Hossa is a great asset to your company! She work’s at a beautiful apartment complex at Alamo heights in San Antonio.Janie showed us two different apartments and the pool area was beautiful. We asked her if she knew about the Lantowers located in Austin Tx. She used to work in Austin at the Lantowers first before moving to San Antonio. Janie was very informative about the 3 locations in Austin. I am so glad she helped us! Thank you Ms.Abou-Hossa
Came by to check out the complex w/ my son & daughter in-law… Janie was very nice & made us feel welcomed! She gave us a tour of the complex & answered all our questions & concerns. Looks like my son & daughter in-law will be calling this place home for a while. Thank you Janie for your hospitality & we’ll see you soon!
Lantower Alamo Heights is a great place to live. The amenities are great and the places around the area are convenient, even for college students like me. The staff members like Elizabeth are very kind and helpful. Very recommended!
I’ve enjoyed my lease term at these apartments, Elizabeth in the leasing office has always made me feel welcome and has made me feel comfortable about my choice to live at Lantower apartments. Overall the staff is great, location is wonderful, and I’m very pleased with my experience, Thank you.
Just moved in and quite honestly I have no complaints. The management team is super helpful when resolving issues as a whole. The maintenance team is remarkable in terms of service and tasks are completed quickly.
Property management needs to take care of building two and surroundings. Hallways are dirty, need cleaning and repainting.Pool water fountain has been broken for over a year.
Wow, just wow! In love with the style here. No complaints here. Usually people only go online to leave negative reviews but Im so happy with my experience so far that Im going out of my way to let the world know. Love the Vallet Trash Pickup. The only other thing I would like to see is maybe a food truck occasionally. Ive seen that done in other places and its nice. If you make that possible Ill give you a sixth star.
Absolutely love this property and the management is great! Jeannette was super helpful and gave me a wonderful tour, and very helpful information. She made me feel like it was home and gave me great rates I was looking for in my budget. Definitely recommend!
I recently moved in and the washers are terrible I call the office to have a technician fixed it but he couldn’t do anything about it washer doesn’t fill all the way I can’t even wash my bed blankets because the washers won’t do the heavy load so I have to go to a public laundry just to wash them when I’m paying my rent water and everything that’s not ok I would like to have the washer from my apartment replaced please
The staff are are very friendly especiallyJeannette as she was great to work with and helped me through the paperwork portion with ease as well as taking care of my ever need or question. I would highly recommend going through the staff if your looking for a great place to live as well as friendly environment.
Met with Janie Anouhosa and she showed me around the property, she was very professional and thorough. Hopefully I will get my new position in San Antonio and definitely will move to Lantower Apts ....Thanks Janie
Amazing place would def recommend clean property quite for the most part. Erin and her team are amazing always so helpful and available to listen! One of the best property management places I’ve lived at.
Love leasing this property! The staff is amazing and love the location! Def a must see if you are 👀 looking for a downtown or Alamo lease. Thanks for always taking care of my clients! Y’all Rock!!!
Appartment is beautiful, we had a great experience with all the staff. From manager to sales rep. Janie was so awesome and will love to work with her again.
It is a wonderful place to live in. The aprtments are fresh and modern. Maintenance works on the orders during the same day and our leasing agent Obi is just the very best!
Absolutely love the staff! Walked in and was immediately greeted and helped out. I didn’t have to look at another apartment because the moment I spoke with Elizabeth she steered me in the right direction! Thank y’all so much for the hospitality!!
I love the positive encounters , I get every-time , always helpful , always inviting us out to events . Keeping the residents up to date & inform . The staff is great ..
Elizabeth has made the entire leasing process very wonderful for me. She is beyond helpful and Im pleased with my decision to go with Lantower.
Great place to call home. Awesome staff and wonderful amenities . Andrea in particular is very warm and welcoming. Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a new place to call home. Great area.
Dog poop in the halls, walking areas, grass, ecty. Pool was very dirty. Not a very luxurious living experience at all! Final straw was being robbed ! Our storage unit was broken into!
My family and I are relocating to San Antonio from Out of state, Janie Abouhossa went above and beyond and zoom called me and showed me the property and gave me all the info. She made this process much easier than it could have been and I am very grateful for her help.
I have to say this is one of my favorite place I lived in. I like the management team they are always on top of everything you ask for. If I didn’t move to Austin I would stay here longer.
Great location and friendly staff!
Me and my husband took a tour of the complex and the staff is very welcoming.so welcoming that we plan on moving in once our current lease is up
One of the worst experiences ever they claim to have control when the doors are always open and they constantly brake down several brake ins at there parking lots and they always happen on weekends and they always come up with something to charge you when you end your lease they don’t care if it’s a regular wear and tear like paint or a scratch on the floor they will make you pay they don’t notify you when you move that will appear in collections on your credit report poor management practice and I have it a star cause I had no other choice.
Hundred percent Five Stars for Lantower Alamo Heights Apartments! People are so nice here. Highly recommended.
Bait and switch to get you to fill out application then from there its all downhill. Office staff become rude and they tell you different things from when you first went in there. Worst customer service from a apartment complex that I ever gotten from Liz.
Over two years living here 👌🏻
Really peaceful and quiet community. Really good if you have a dog with the dog park right in here.
I loved 327 When I was there. Everyone is really nice and helpful. I never had any problems with my neighbors its really quiet.
I enjoy the apartment community, its safe, makes an effort to bring a sense of community and provides all the amenities that makes this place great to live in!
Love living here, its chill spot and its centralized if you wanna get to anywhere in SA fast. 😊
Covered multi level parking, well lit. Apartments appeared nice. Property was clean and quiet.
Good location, most staff are nice. There is one rude member of staff, management aware, yet nothing done about it. Swimming pool area is nice.
We love our home here at Lantower Alamo Heights. Beautiful Apartments with all the luxury amenities!
Really nice but expensive for a shoebox size of a room it does include washer and driver and it was gonna be on a side where there was construction being done at the neighbors lot and to see that everyday ugh nkv
I absolutely loved my stay at Sunset! The employees were great and so was everyone that lived there.
We lived there for over a year. We loved every moment of it. The staff was wonderful and always took care of everything that we needed.
I love living here. The place has changed over the past few months as the company has started to make some upgrades to the place. Keep it up!
Everything about this place is phenomenal! They make you feel like family, would recommend this place to ANYONE! The office staff is very helpful and amazing.
Entered 3 maintenance requests and each request was done same day!!!! I received very fast and efficient maintenance service and I couldn’t be happier!!!!!
A good friend stays at these apartments, shes on the 4th floor and the elevator is constantly out of service. Not to mention overpriced.
I’ve been a resident here for almost a year and I love this property. The assistant manager Jeannette is super amazing always helpful.
Elegant living with beautiful layouts, great maintenance, and the staff of always friendly. Highly recommend this property.
Extremely professional and knowledgeableOutgoing personalityTakes ample time to explain availabilitiesGood listener....A PLEASURE TO WORK WITHWILL RECCOMEND HER TO MY FRIENDS ANDAQUAINTANCES....
There have been some issues, but it is a new property. The new management is starting to get things in shape. Eh...
The WORST PLACE you can pay that much for living.super rude staff and always dirty. We used to beg for them to clean the hallways.so glad we moved out.The manager Erin is so rude and disrespectful and never lets you finish your sentence!!Do NOT move to this complex or you will regret it.
This place is great! great front office staff and caprice was amazing helping me move in!!
Straight up rude customer service. Not even renting there yet and the front desk representative was sarcastic. Ill take my business elsewhere.
Outstanding staff! They have worked hard on many different improvements to the complex. Couldnt be happier!
Dont waste your time. I lived there for a year and dreaded it. Moving in was a mess, and moving out even worse.
New management is own it and shout-out to Andrea, Caprice and Janie! Thank you for all you do!
I have friends that live here that say these apartments are nice but pricy
Beautiful place, reasonable prices and nice staff.
Love these apartments and the staff is amazing ! Thank you Janie !
Very nice apartments, in a great central location.
Friendly staff, clean complex!
I dont hate it I LOVED IT! CLOSE TO EVERYTHING I NEED 5 MINUTES FROM MY JOB
This place is a bit confusing to find the right entrance but I did . My friend loved living there. 🙃
Really good looking apartments close to downtown & shopping.
Love this place :) Thank you for making me feel at home right away!
I just moved in and so far everything has been great!
Nice apartment complex that has Airbnb available!
Very nice but rent is too high for me
Great staff willing to work with you as long as you do what you say
Love the location, and the service has been great!
Love this place! Elizabeth is awesome!
Janie is amazing 💕💕
Elizabeth is the best!
They hit my truck worth more than 70 thousand dollars and they didnt show me the videos, so dont waste your time trying to file a complaint because they wont help you with anything, they hide behind themselves by saying that they are not responsible and that they dont have the cameras working. of the place so avoid renting here
