The worst maintenance team ever. They close work orders without even completing them. Moved in on Nov 12 2024 and the apartment wasn’t fully finished. Jorge the staff that I worked with said it would be ready by the Nov 11 2024 and it wasn’t. Till now the work order that has been submitted hasn’t been taken care of or completed. The management team is horrible at handling and responding to tenants.Responding to the feedback, I’m still a resident at the complex and no one has bothered to fix any issues at my apartment 🤬
I’ve been living here for 6 months now, I had an electrical issue in my apartment and put a work order in. Near instantly Sebastian came in and checked out the issue without hesitation. He got his manager James to come take a look at some of the problems and they were both able to get it done easily in only a few minutes. The apartment is quiet and peaceful and we never have any issues. The front office has always been transparent and very helpful to provide us with everything we need!
I moved in July of this year and Ive seen turnover of 3 property managers. My apartment was not move-in ready, management and maintenance were not responsive to this. Recently, James has taken over as property manager and has hired new staff that are taking care of the residents needs. I finally have maintenance responding to my work orders from move-in. Sebastian is respectful, fast, and thorough. I really appreciate James and Sebastians help. James follows up with work orders once theyre complete to ensure youre satisfied. Sebastian returns to complete jobs as promised. Couldnt ask for better management and maintenance (: Theyve definitely changed my opinion on the complex and I hope theyre here to stay!
Sebastian is the first maintenance worker that actually takes the time to fix my work orders. I have been at these apartments going on 10 years now and I usually get the runaround or temporary fixes, but he actually makes sure to fix the problem and provides helpful feedback.
I have to say, its been a great experience overall living here . The office staff is always friendly . Maintenance is top-notch too—any issues Ive had have been handled quickly and efficiently. Overall, its a peaceful community and I feel well taken care of.
This property is truly exceptional! The gym is well-equipped and spacious, the basketball court is top-notch, and the pool is absolutely stunning. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, making every visit an enjoyable experience!
Ive been a resident of Broadstone Colonnade for over five years and have consistently paid my rent on time. Due to financial hardships in November, I was late on rent. I explained my situation to Jorge Juarez, the property manager, who informed me that nothing could be done since an eviction had already been filed. He also stated that partial payments could not be accepted and that payments must be made in certified funds. I accepted that no issue.Once I was able to gather the full amount, including eviction fees, I went to the office with a certified check to resolve the balance. However, my payment was refused because, according to Jorge Juarez, I needed to pay not only the past-due amount but also 75% of January’s rent. Nowhere in my lease agreement does it state that future rent must be paid as a condition for resolving past-due balances. These practices are shady and unethical. Coupled with ongoing issues such as mailbox vandalism and car thefts in the community, I cannot recommend this property to anyone considering living here. Please think twice before moving to Broadstone Colonnade.
They have overall great & speedy seevice. Management is very attentive. Ray is amazing, she is very passionate and takes pride in what she does. The apartments are so clea, nice gym and pool. The pool is cleaned out everyday. They fixed my appliances and sink right away. The maintence is great. They came right away to fix all the things that needed to be fixed. They are full transparent with what they do. Sebastian is a very friendly and makes sure he gets all the request done in a timely manner, and efficiently. He fixed my sink, shower head, ceiling fans and my electricity issues within the first week of me being here. He’s fully transparent with me and is very respectful. I give these apartments a 10/10 so far despite it not being fully ready when I moved in.they have come around exceeding my expectations and then some.
If I could give lower I would. Im not even going to go into detail about how bad the apartments themselves are. I lived there over a year ago and moved out like normal. Turned keys in, gave notice and was even out a week before the move out date. Come a month later and they send an email and ask for that months rent. We call and tell them we dont even live there and they say oh oops, it auto put you on a month by month. We will take care of it. I see the charges are gone and I assume everything has been taken care of.Boy was I wrong. Over a year later I get a notice in the mail from debt collectors that this new company that took over decided they could earn a little extra cash by sending our unpaid month or rent to collections. Ive called over 30 times since and every single time I call its as though its a brand new story to them. Im always told theres nothing notated on my account even though Im ensured that notes are put on my account. Ive been told by the property manager multiple times that the district manager is on the case and theyll email them again but I have received no communication once from them. It is always me who has to reach out to them.If you unfortunately decide to live here make sure they cant scam you cause theyll do whatever it takes to squeez more money out of you years later.
Broadstone Colonnade’s property management consistently creates and enforces rules that seem to violate tenants’ rights. The mailbox area is constantly broken into and damaged—an issue that has persisted for a long time with no apparent effort to implement preventive measures. This complex is a known hotspot for criminal activity, including car break-ins and theft, yet the management does nothing to assist residents. There are no security cameras, and the gate breaks down every 2–3 months, leaving the property vulnerable to crime.Additionally, the maintenance team takes an average of two months to complete work orders, with the property manager deflecting blame instead of addressing the delays. If you’re considering moving here, be warned: Broadstone Colonnade fails to provide a safe or supportive living environment. I notice after any bad review a resident miracously uploads a positive interaction with the office staff the same day. Im not saying reviews are fake but I have uploaded photos of what you will be renting. Emails of the constant excuses you will be receiving. I challenge previous commentors to do the same since their purpose was to undermine my review . It took maintenance 2 months to check outlets in my apartment. In a productive work week it took maintenance 2 weeks to close a ticket even with correspondance with the leasing office so Im confused on how Marcus (the commentor before mines) was able to get his issue resolved instantly. Please respond to this post at your earliest convenience James.
Sebastian has been a kind and very helpful person. He came and fixed all of my work orders in no time. Even doubled back on his work to make sure there was no problems!
My elderly relative came to visit, the AC broke, we called the emergency maintenance line, no one showed up. We had to call EMS after she suffered heat related illness. No one had repaired our ac unit after multiple requests. I work from home, and have been sitting in 92 degree weather inside waiting for maintenance. This is on top of having our mail stolen on a regular basis. Who do we have to contact to receive help?
It’s only been a few weeks since Shippy Properties took over and the rate at which they’re running the property into the ground is almost impressive. I feel bad for all the kids who haven’t been able to swim in weeks as a result of this company’s unwillingness and/or inability to keep up with the bare minimum levels of maintenance required of them.Myself and a number of my neighbors have also been dealing with unwarranted extra charges on our accounts and ongoing repair issues and have found the new leasing office staff to be incompetent, unprofessional, and completely disorganized so far. Here are some pictures of our pool this morning compared to the way it looked before Shippy took over-a perfect visual representation of their overall performance as a property management group :)EDIT 5/25/24: after the issues mentioned above continued, almost daily vehicle break-ins, permanently broken security gates, our mailboxes being broken into multiple times (during tax return season, and management never let the residents know some of us had to hear it directly from the mailman and spread the word), and dog poop and trash all over the grounds I decided to pay thousands to get out of my lease early over a year ago now. Never heard back about my security deposit despite multiple attempts to contact them but have decided it isn’t worth the stress to continue to chase these people down. Shippy is completely inept and ruined what used to be an awesome apartment community, I feel bad for anyone still renting there but so grateful that I got out when I did!
This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived. I have been here almost 2 months, Ive met 3 managers already. I moved in to an apartment they told me it was ready to move in. Wellllll the apartment wasnt ready. Im missing light fixtures, drawers handles, back door dont lock, the water heater shoclks you when you touch it, one of my restroom in the room dont flush, my fridge dont cool. I have sent emails, gone to the office so many times and they dont do nothing. The maintenance guys just driving around chilling in the golf cart. I have pictures, videos. Ohhhh and few hours later I moved in somebody crossed my balcony and stole my sons bike. Dont come rent here you will regret it...if I could give negative stars I would
I was a resident at Broadstone C 2022-March 2023. I had multiple issues and poor experiences during my stay at Broadstone Colonnade. I signed my contract while BC had Lincoln Properties under management. No issues during that timeframe. Shortly thereafter the complex was under new management (Shippy Properties now Quantum Leap). I had the following experiences:1. Infestation of fleas- multiple fumigation treatments needed.2. Fire ants throughout complex especially the parking lot which caused damage to the wiring system in my vehicle.3. Gate issues, broken gym equipment pictured, broken thermostat pictured, and lack of security with broken doors/locks as pictured.Fast forward, contract ends March 2023. 60-day notice given in January as required, pro-rated amount of rent paid for March 2023 as per contract, forwarding address provided, and keys dropped off. August 2024, receive a collection notice for unpaid rent April & May of 2023 totaling above 3K. After providing the office Manager Sylvia this information along with all my statements, leasing contract, 60-day notice, copy of last month pro-rated receipt, CPS utility notice of where my account transferred to new forwarding address.... Nothing has been done to correct this issue. No sense of urgency from Regional Manager Paul (Quantum Leap Management) or Broadstone Colonnade Manager Sylvia.-AH10/6/24As of today, 10/6, the account has not been updated as indicated by Paul Meza, Regional Manager for Quantum Leap. His email to me on 9/6 stated he would notify and update after this reviewwas left. I have not received a call from the office Manager Sylvia (dismissive approach). Contacted the BBB and they have not received a response either.Your response is generic and still doesnt resolve my issue. RESOLVE THE ISSUE.10/7/24Account hits credit. DO NOT RENT HERE. These are fraudulent charges- I am being charged for rent during a time that I did not live there. I will post the email correspondence indicating that account would be updated. Avoid this from happening to you or for them to take advantage of someone else. Keep your documentation.
I’ve lived here nearly 2 months now and am super happy. The new manager Sylvia is taking great strides to improve the cleanliness, resident rule adherence, and overall appearance of the property. I referred my friend who moves in soon! Overall a peaceful, quiet, lovely complex in a prime location.
This might change since I am still living here and if it actually improves, Ill edit. Otherwise, Ill provide a compiled list of details with dates & photos at the end of my lease. As it stands now: listen to the reviews. This was financially my only option, and I trusted my first impression when I visited before signing, and if I could go back, I would tell myself to search harder elsewhere. Private account because I dont trust there not to be some kind of retaliation not to be done for leaving a poor review while still living here.H.U.D. hotline (800) 669-9777TWC Hotline 800-939-6631Tenants Rights Hotline (888) 495-8020Edited: Added are pictures of the mail room and the state its been in for over 2 months now.
New management started in June 2022. The gates have been broken this entire time. They havent cleaned the pool the entire month of June when its the summer and the kids have time to swim and play. The old management would pick up trash and clean the pool on a daily basis. NOT OK!!
This place is awesome! Not only is the staff helpful but they took the time to help me find a great apartment to move to. Im moving to move in December and they still help me when others told me to call when the date gets closer to the time you want to move. and the best thing about it .. its next to eaterys and HEB! Ill be back soon!
These units looks sooo pretty!!! 🤩 I especially live the pool area and laundry in resident center always so clean!! The staff is on point!!!
If you want a quiet place to live, move to Broadstone. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Gorge, he is very kind and ready to help you.
Moving in: was scheduled to move in March 3rd of 2023. I called and let them know we would be delayed and the office said that was okay and that everything would be ready when we got there. Once my husband and I showed up after moving from Iowa they said the apartment wasn’t ready and that they would have to find us something different. After multiple hours we were moved to a new floor plan. Due to the delay we had to sit outside with a U-Haul holding all of our belongings and our cats had to continue to sit in the car for 3-4 hours. Very frustrating first interaction after they knew we weren’t even going to arrive until after our actual move in date. Then when we did finally move in and were doing an inspection and taking photos, we realized the apartment was very over priced, borders were missing, walls were chipped, the front lock wasn’t aligned, an outlet was removed from the kitchen wall, along with other issues. At this point we just didn’t want to be homeless and moved in taking photos of everything.Amenities: we moved in in March and were informed we would receive a clicker for the gym and front gate in March, July, October, and December. Finally got one in December shortly before we ended up moving out and never was able to use the gym. Also mail was horrible, the mail room would often not be secured inside and you would be able to completely open a whole wall of mail and anyone who was in the mail room could access your mail. As well as for any large packages, you got to pay a nonrefundable fee to obtain a locker!Employees: employees do not help with issues unless you call and email and text and follow up at least 2-3 times. They are almost never in the actual office and leave multiple times through to day for showings, staff seemed understaffed, unknowledgable, and just not helpful overall.Moving out: apartment does not take normal wear and tear into consideration, should’ve taken more and more photos as soon as we moved in as we did not receive our deposit and was expected to pay close to $100 due to a stove and oven that had staining as well as the bathtub peeling (due to cheap materials and paint used) peeled within the first week of moving in. We left the apartment cleaner than when we arrived and still owed so much.Management changed multiple times through our lease, the front gate was broken half the time, neighbors are loud and disrespectful during night hours. Overall not a good apartment or experience and my husband and I were very happy to move out at the end of our lease.
James and Sebastian from the Maintenance Team were awesome, professional and courteous they came in and took care of the issue quickly and without problems. I’d rate hire if I could.!
This property is not kept very clean in many ways. Scroll through some of the reviews here to see. The mail area is never clean, the gym is always dirty, the pool is usually another story. Currently we have trash outside our door for a week that was pulled out of the apartments next to us and left to rot out in the heat by the maintenance team. It’s an entire trail of trash including, furniture, a bed and boxes that smell even worse now after a week right in front of our door all the way down the hallway. We contacted the management team more than once to please have this removed from our door and what was told to us is that they have a “waiting period” when someone is evicted- where they have to leave their stuff out and “hold it” before being able to throw it away. If this is the case then why do the tenants have to pay for this? Why is there not an area other than our front door where these items can be kept? There are storage units here from the property so why can this not be put away properly by management? We do not pay the amount of rent we do for excuses like this. If by law you need to keep someone else’s belongings then management should have a place to keep those things or even move them away from our door. Making your tenants deal with trash all over the hallway that stinks and doing nothing about it, is unprofessional not to mention a health and safety issue. The fact we are being subjected for a week with someone else’s belongings and are being told we just need to live with it until the waiting period is over is beyond us, would you like to live like that? The management also does not send out emails letting us know announcements like: when third party vendors will be banging on walls and repairing things, when emergencies happen like our water being cut off due to an emergency (which just happened a few weeks ago), or anything at all unless we call complaining. The maintenance orders just pile up even after complaining and we have had to go in person in order for maintenance orders to even be printed out in the first place. I’m placing this review because we have spoken to management quite a few times over the phone and in person about these issues and are not happy with the results. We have lived here for 9 months and continue to see it declining as the months go by and are not happy with the way things are going at all.
Their good for a second chance option but there is a lack of communication between the leasing agents and the manager, make sure everything you agreed on is in writing and unfortunately they have a slow response time for maintenance issues. Other than that my apt is nice but they have 2 more issues that shouldve been handled prior to move in ***editing*** this is a very bad complex there is absolutely no communication the excuse is their too busy they cant remember, smh , they bait and switch you, they switch the blame on whoever is convenient, no accountability, I gave them plenty of chances but subpar management the only other issue with the pool is the lights dont work and come out of their hole so it might be a safety issue the complex has a long way to go to get to where they need to be
Ive lived here for over 5 years now, and there is good reason to that. In my experience, its been great! The complex is safe, the amenities are nice, maintenance requests are usually handled same-day. The neighborhood is lively with quick access to I-10. East and West bound. There has been an ownership change, and with that comes a few hiccups here and there. But Paul and staff work to address any issues I may have in a timely and understanding manner. Ive enjoyed my time here.
Horrible place to live. Besides everything being broken all the time (pool, gym equip, mail room), maintenance requests never getting completed, lack of communication between management, staff, and tenants, trash and poop all around the property, and the grassy areas being infested with FLEAS!! This place was horrible. To top it off, 1 year after being done and moved out, I get a call from a creditor saying I owe money for an unpaid month and a half AFTER I had moved out. I emailed, called, and showed up 60 days early before me lease ended to make sure that I was not going to be charged for any days after my lease ended. Apparently management never put in my request!?!? I also called and called to ask about me getting my security deposit back and never received even a call back. Save yourself the trouble and dont rent from here.
Place is decent but maintaince sucks. I moved in 4 months ago and had 1 thing fix out of 3 and now more stuff had been added on and Mayne multiple work order, garage key is messed up and havent taken care of that either. Oh and didnt mention the fact they threw out everything in my garage due to my name not being down for that garage.I would only recommend if you can do the work orders yourself but it shouldnt even have to go that route. They had 5 guys when I moved in and now down to 2. This is ridiculous.Even told the Kristi about my last place that was horrible and now its the same thing all over again.Photo is just 1 of the things messed up
Rent here! The staff is so friendly. I have been here 5 years and whenever I have an issue the staff always take care of me. The maintenance guys are very helpful. I am so happy to be here.
This place sucks, you’re better off finding a different one. Gym is not well kept, none of the equipment works for starters. Mail room gate doesn’t work, the room itself has mail thrown all over the floor. Maintenance doesn’t bother responding to work orders. Pool is not clean. Management is the absolute worst, even one of the workers told me “damn this place is a mess”. Please don’t bother leasing here.
I’ve been here about 5 months. I really like it here. I’ve never had an issue with the mail boxes, They are gated and secured. I’ve never had an issue with my Amazon packages. The staff at the leasing office has always been pleasant and respectful towards me they are great. It’s pretty quiet and peaceful here. I love the location. 5/7 mins from the Rim/ La Cantera. There are of a bunch of restaurants that are walking distance and H-E-B is literally around the corner. I love the flooring and how updated everything is. The maintenance guys are nice and I’ve only had good experiences with them. There is a basket ball court which is alwys clean and I love the workout room!
Current Management Lousy, very unprofessional, Maintenance are great people but they depend on Management to approve everything. I had submitted 4 AC work orders and I still have issues with my AC, they dont reply emails, neither phone calls. Nemuel Rosas Apt. 7105, former Manager is a Pig, current Manager is a liar.
I’m going on all most 3 years with Broadstone Colonnade Apartments and just renewed my least not to long ago my experience here has been great absolutely no major issue and staff here are very helpful and friendly. Also want to shine some light on Management staff Jessica her professionalism and concern is amazing she will go the extra mile to accommodate your needs. I definitely recommend moving here. Thank you Broadstone Staff .
Part 2: DO NOT LIVE HERE THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE RESIDENTS ESPECIALLY WORK ORDERS MY SINK HAS BEEN BACKED UP FOR DAYS AND NO ONE WILL EVEN PROVIDE A TIME FRAME ON WHEN IT WILL GET FIXED FLIES ARE ACCUMULATING AROUND THE STANDING WATER AND THERES NO TELLING WHEN IT WILL GET FIXED!!!Part 1: Current resident of 2+ years here. I would not recommend moving in here the management turnover has been the worst thing to happen to this place. They have also made the decision to not put ANY carpet in the upstairs units so you will hear everything your upstairs neighbors do. And the quiet hours from 10pm-8am do not apply for people who ‘naturally’ walk heavy because they would hate to make their residents ‘uncomfortable in their own home’With the carpet this was not an issue.
Do not lease here. Management does not care & not to mention the leasing staff have the worst attitudes. For months there’s been car break ins & in our mailboxes as well. 4 times I’ve gone & ALL of the mailboxes have been open. Management does nothing about it. Our pool has been dirty for months & Our gates have been broken & opened for anyone to come In as well. All the doors to the gym, basketball court & hangout room are broken. This place is just so unorganized & it is not safe to live here. I’ve never felt the need to have to set up a camera for my apt & for this one I did. I cannot wait till my lease is over.
I just finished the application process and will be new resident. The office staff and management are amazing. Very informative and hospitable. I had my application finished in the morning and was approved that afternoon. Very fast and painless process. Overall a great experience. Thank you.
I just recently moved in and it has been a great experience from the app process to move in. Jackie has been nothing but helpful and very resourceful in answering all of my questions and concerns. The layout is amazing and itis so peaceful here. Really love it here and having Jackie in the office. A real delight.
I moved out in February 2023 and I still have not received my remaining security deposit. I cannot get ahold of the leasing office, and when I do, I get told that they will work on it and never hear anything else. I was told by email, Corporate had made a mistake on their end in June 2023, then was asked if I got my check yet. When I told them no, they told me it was going to be the final time they’d reach out for the status. I checked my account balance in August and they modified what I was actually supposed to get to something lower. This is so frustrating, I have not gotten actual help in over 10 months and y’all are keeping money that’s owed to me.
Avoid this place at ALL COSTS!! Since Shippy Properties took over its been a nightmare. Gates are ALWAYS OPEN. As a result, there have been multiple car break-ins. Its getting so common that residents have been catching thieves in BROAD DAYLIGHT! During summers heat, my AC went out, so I put a ticket in. Days went by and nothing- I went to the front office and they assured me it would be fixed, and again NOTHING. For the two weeks that it was out it would get close to 90 degrees in the apartment during the day and around 85 degrees at night- unlivable. After going down to the front office to complain not once; not twice; but THREE TIMES it was finally fixed. When I asked if they would refund the two weeks it was out they flat out REFUSED. After they fixed the AC the thermostat was not installed correctly causing the AC to go out randomly. So when I get home from work my apartment is at 80 degrees. This has caused my CPS bill to skyrocket. Ive put tickets in - Ive been down to the front office and nothing. Ive honestly given up. The other day they had the audacity to call and ask if there was anything they could do to get me to stay. I almost laughed. Im glad to be moving out of here. Hands down the worst apartment experience of my life. If youre thinking about making this your new home; DONT!!!To the owners of this property- I dont know why you let this rabble manage your investment. The last company did an exemplary job. All Im saying is these idiots are causing you to lose residents who pay early or on time.
The good: The staff was pleasant. They’ve always been polite and friendly whenever I’d talk to them. They’re upfront about mail break-ins and security issues. Before the pandemic, they’d hold social events. During the pandemic, they were very understanding when I asked to extend my lease and allowed me to pay my current rent on a monthly basis when I wasn’t sure when I’d be able to leave. I have also never felt unsafe walking around the complex at night. The bad: Beware the roaches. On the second day of my lease, the kitchen floor was crawling with roaches. I hadn’t brought any food into the apartment yet (and most of my stuff was still in my previous apartment). Management sent in extermination services. I bought roach bait and updated them constantly, kept my apartment clean, and always threw out my trash. The roaches would subside and come back with a vengeance. This roach problem continued even after management changed. Once I ran into an exterminator, who told me he was about to take care of several units in my building. Roaches may be an issue if you move into building 6. My other complaint is that I paid for a cleaning service, recommended by management itself, to do a move-out cleaning. The leasing office knew this since they gave the cleaning lady the key to my unit. Yet I was still charged for apartment cleaning as if it had not been cleaned at all.Overall, I liked my unit. It was in good condition except for a couple of superficial flaws, for which I’ve attached photos. I would have given this apartment 5 stars if not for the roaches and paying double for cleaning.
This is a great and affordable place to live. It’s very quiet neighborhood even though we are near I-10. There’s a lot of great places to eat near by and gyms aswell. Jackie especially has helped a lot and goes out of her way to help. I had a certain issue ..with someone that stole a key from me and offered to change my locks right away and by herself ! She is amazing !!
I like living here. However. I haven’t gotten the things fix since I move in, which was end of march. I can deal with them not fixing them. What I cant deal with is these $90-$100 water bill. I work all day, my dad is not home all day and my bill is so high. How is my water bill more the my light bill. Excuse was because it is summer time. Ughh hello summer time excuse would be a higher electricity bill not water bill. Unless you are all trying to compensate from some where else. I will be asking to see the breakdown and file a dispute for these charges.
I have lived here for 2 years and never had a complaint until JUNE 2022 when shippy management took over. They are inattentive and AWFUL at communication. They lost my rent for the month of June and still have not correct the issue. Forget about getting any maintenance issues fixed; it will take at least 2 weeks for easy issues. The dumpsters and Recycling bins are always over flowing with trash. Really wish i did not just renew my lease in June for another. Most likely will try to break my lease and leave this place before it gets any worse!! DONT MOVE HERE!!!!!
Great staff in leasing office. Jackie gave us our tour and was beyond resourceful and very kind and respectful over kind. Looking forward to signing our lease this week.
Just recently took a tour of a beautiful 3 bedroom/3 bathroom apartment. The cabinets and countertops have all been renovated and have a clean high end look. Lynsey was super informative and helpful when giving the tour and answering all of my questions. Can’t wait to move in and start my summer off right with their pool too.
Shippy took over this property in June of 2022 and its been a lot of growing pains and employee turnover. I just want to give some credit to two maintenance employees, Jose and Shane who both seem to care and want to make Broadstone great again. I been here 15 years and we need their help along with some good office staff. Keep up the good work guys and please dont leave!!!!
I lived there 1 year. I moved out, left the apt cleaner than when I moved in. Then Elsie trys to charge me a professional cleaning fee and carpet cleaning in the amount of $90. after emailing to Mrs Marie, ei. Broken gates, poor maintenance, and theft she told me I would get my complete deposit back. Then Elsie trys to send me $40.!!! Finally talked to Mrs Marie, After leaving 2 messages, (and no call back), they now say I will get my $150 back. I moved out on September 6th it is now November 19th and Ive yet to receive the check!!! I am entitled to 3x the deposit if not received in 30 days. Stay away from this place they will @&^% you around! * I was there for a job. I never hung a picture on the wall or moved any furniture in . No visitors, just an air bed and a folding table and chair. I asked for an itemized list of what was cleaned. They never could provide that.. shame on you Shippy.
I have been trying to get in contact with anybody in the leasing office but every time I call, there is no one to pick up the phone. I have been trying to resolve incorrect billing charges for 2 months with no resolution. I also recently received an email saying I applied to a new unit but I absolutely did not apply to this apartment again. I am extremely disappointed by their lack of communication via email and phone. I highly do NOT recommend this apartment.
I live hereAnd I like it here.I plan on renewing my lease as the management is nothing but friendly and helpful, better than the last company that took over. Their unwavering support and the amount of damage left by the last company that most of these people refuse to acknowledge because theyre mad at the problems the last company didnt want to fix and just found their scapegoat. I personally see no issue with them and I can tell and see that theyre trying really hard to get this property back to its grandness.
Updated review***Still a great place. We really love just about everything to it. Location, amenities, staff. All of which are and have been greatWill update my review accordingly. So far, so good! Great amenities and staff. They return emails, they seem to care, they keep up with the place and residents. Will be transferring here from next door (Colonnade Apartments) a place of which I also recommend. A great leasing company to be within. I look forward to seeing how the next lease plays out.
A great place to call Home and very close to USAA office( 5 mins drive) , Entire staff is friendly and always welcomes with a smile.Facilities and premises are kept clean all time. And any maintenance issues are resolved on top priority.Security is another factor to live in, It has a good security system and any with the community/leasing people immediatelyI love the swimming pool and the resting chairs at the center of community which is great place to relax.I thought of moving to another place due to end of my lease but gladly I am now continuing to live in same community and enjoy the neighborhoodGreat Thanks to Kelly and Ryan, for making us comfortable with the long stay( 2 Years :) ). You guys are most welcoming and friendly people!!!😊👍🏻
The pool and the apartments themselves are very nice. The pool is rarely clean. The neighbors are a bit loud and there are lots of break ins. I didn’t mind the $850/mo rent for a 1 bedroom until new management took over. They were all 20-something and unprofessional. For months, my remote didn’t work and they refused to give me a new one. When I got it, one of the staff tossed it at my stomach instead of handing it to me. When I said they were being unprofessional- they said I was unprofessional..?I received an eviction notice even though they said my rent was paid on time. They tried charging me for moving my own chair off my patio after they said they would move it for me and charge me.Hopefully new management takes over because I have heard several people complain. I finally left and still dealing with these people that never sent me my security deposit or any explanation as to why within 30 days which they are supposed to do by law.
So far, I just moved it a few days ago and I’m disappointed they have a real bad bug problem. My neighbor is a maniac.Everything in my apartment is broken I’m just disappointed. I really had a high hopes for this place that I just moved into and so far it’s already let me down. Don’t get me wrong Jackie is amazing 😻 she pushed really hard for me getting into here and helped transition moving into here really easy but one’s really moving into hereIt’s really really horrible for me my experience. I’m experience a lot of bad stuff so far.I’m really ready to move already. I’ve only been here for almost a week and I’m seeing a lot of bugs everywhere. Everything in my apartment is either broken or really really dirty. It’s just really bad for me😩
Do not move into these apartments unless you want to walk into these kind of apt ready units according to their standards. According to these 86 different management companies that have been switched out since my husband signing his lease, its ok for them to tell you it will be ready to move in by a certain day and then when that time comes, they tell you its still not ready because they are still painting the unit, then the next day it was apparently ready. Apparently its ok with them for tenants to walk into a house with dust covering the entire unit top to bottom. I am talking about the vents, walls, ceilings and dust webs in corner of ceilings, fans, baseboards, blinds, light fixtures, cupboards, and floors. For someone who didnt have pets coming into this place, it was beyond disappointing and disgusting to walk in and see all of the animal hair left all over the apt and blinds. The blinds and fans especially caked in dust and animal hair. Apparently its ok with them for tenants to walk into an apt with walls filled with marks of dirt, food, and some sorts of writing utensils. Apparently its ok for tenants to walk into an apt where there is black mold built up through various parts of the bathroom showers and sinks. Not to mention all of the water damage spots from previous tenants that have made the counter tops bubble up. And lets not forget to mention all of the maintenance issues in just one unit mind you not even have gone through a years lease yet. A/c unit wasnt cooling, the washing machine had went off its tracks, the constant leaks from the fridge causing it to leak all in the fridge and floor, water will drip out of one of the bathroom shower ceilings, and the kitchen sink clogging non stop and leaking underneath and causing overflowing and water everywhere. Im too afraid and exhausted to keep going. What and absolute nightmare.
I’ve lived here 2 months now and am very happy with my experience so far! Staff is very friendly and always helpful! My AC went out on a Saturday night and from experiences before at other apartments I was expecting nothing to be done until Monday but I called the office and they sent someone immediately and they fixed it right away, the maintenance lady Debbie is awesome. Great people work here and they care.
UPDATE: San Antonio fire dept came out tonight because building 1s fire alarm went off then stopped ringing. I was informed that the fire panel shows a problem that someone battery or component needs a repair. SAFD has a note that theres a problem with the fire system and is awaiting a repair that is expecting to be repaired in two weeks. There is a company doing fire watch. I met their worker after SAFD showed up. Hes in uniform walking around. I felt the need to share this with you to keep us all safe since Shippy wont, and we all know how long repairs can take around here.ORIGINAL POST:Ever since Shippy Properties took over, the place become 💩ty... Repairs even simple ones take months to complete. Or they close out the repair even when it hasnt been completed. Theyre always cleaning house with staff. So many different managers and leasing staff in less than a year. Oh and the property is always a mess. I posted this on their Facebook page only to be blocked. Sorry the truth is what it is. The cans were emptied today but the leaves left the same.
Don’t rent here horrible service people don’t care about you it has Roaches and maintenance never do there job cat poop and bird poop everywhere
In the process of renewing my lease. Lynsey in the front office was super kind, professional, and knowledgeable about the new changes being implemented on the property. Will definitely recommend moving here to some of my friends.
Amazing service, renewing my lease. Lori has been awesome and super kind at helping me out with any questions or problems i have had. Also many positive changes in the community are noticiable! Thank you!
I like to thank our new management at Broadstone Colonnade for an excellent work, service and management. Elsie a great assistance, Jackie too and Shanae an excellent manager that is something our community needs. And last but not least lets not forget William the best maintenance ever, professional, polite and respectful.
Just went on a tour and even though the soonest we could get an apartment wasnt what we were looking for, the leasing agent was a very nice fellow who made us feel comfortable and was very friendly! thank you again christian g!
So far, I have enjoyed my stay at this apartment complex. The maintenance staff has been diligent when working on any maintenance requests Ive put in. When I first moved in, there was minimal work to bring the apartment up to speed. It was exceptionally clean and orderly.Additionally, the use of the LuxerOne system for packages is well thought out. The complex itself is orderly and neat, apart from the breezeways and buildings. I do not mind sweeping the immediate vicinity of my apartment; however, I believe an annual deep cleaning of either the breezeways or the buildings themselves would prove to be a well thought out investment.Lastly, the COVID-19 risk mitigations the staff take for both themselves and the tenants are implemented effectively. In short, the maintenance staff and package security system are fantastic. The only improvement Id like to see is the general cleanliness of the buildings and breezeways.
I love my apartment and this community. Everyone is so nice and polite. I hate to say this but one day I left some stuff by my car one night and I totally forgot about it and when I went to my car the next morning it was still there. Actually someone moved it to the top of my car. Especially with everything going on. I love it. Maintenance crew are so awesome as well. I love how Jessica and Ryan are always on top of things. They have the biggest hearts too. Thank you for all you’ll do.....
My stay at the apartment complex was great. Close to numerous areas, close to 1604. Parking and some individuals picking up after their pets were the only thing that I had issues with. I would recommend the place to anyone.Updated: Moved out of the apartments mid February and still dealing with issues of billing. Have been going back and forth with the complex now. This has changed my view of the apartment, should not still be dealing with this, No longer recommending the apartments to friends or family because of this issue.
I had a great experience here from Jan 13 to Jan 14. The apartment interior is very nice and updated. The amenities like pool, workout room and laundry room were always working properly and in good shape. The location is incredibly convenient right in the middle of the city. If you work downtown there is never traffic on i10 and the exit for this apt comes up right as the traffic to get far north starts building up in afternoons. Treat the office staff kindly and they will move mountains for you. Maintenance issues were always handled immediately and I promptly received a hefty deposit back after move out. The building 7 side always has parking.Try to find out as much as possible about your potential neighbors before hand. They will largely impact your experience. If you see trash in any halls or building avoid that room. It will likely continue. Our neighbors threw trash in halls and balcony in first building of 7. If there are still vans and trailers parked outside that part of the building you may ask to go elsewhere. Shady operation seemed to be going on... This place has more of a demographic mix than it did when I first leased. If youre looking for a more affluent crowd look at La Cantera or Southtown.
For a tour in James was there to help me was amazing thank you so much
AWFUL doesnt begin to explain it. Apartments were nice and friendly in the beginning, about 3 years ago. Demographics started changing and office staff. I dont have real complaints on office staff; however before our move out date, the apartments authorized people to come into our LEASED apartment and throw everything away!! Yes, everything was bagged and tossed even though everyone in office knew our lease wasnt up for another week. We never had any late payments on our end or complaints. However after this incident (1 1/2 months as of today) we are still dealing with corporate to get us, an incredible under valued compensation check for our things and to deal with the TWC modem they threw away. They have treated us, for their mistake, slowly, incompetently, and completely without any bit of kindness.
It would be hard to find a worse place to live than Broadstone Colonnade. AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE! There are many reasons, but Ill put them in order of importance.1. 6 months after I moved away I heard from a collections agency that not only were they not going to refund my deposit, but I owed them about $400 on top of it. Basically they determined that they needed to replace all the flooring in my apartment, my shower/bath tub, and my oven, among other things. I am a mid-20s young professional, I wasnt throwing parties and punching holes in walls or anything. Theyve done this to EVERY person Ive known who ever lived there. Despite the fact that they had my phone number and my new address, they made no attempt to contact me about this. I heard first from the collections agency.2. Someone smashed my window and broke into my car to steal my gym bag. My neighbor also had her window smashed and things stolen out of her car. My friend got his WHOLE CAR stolen out of that parking lot about a year earlier. The gates are always broken and they take weeks to fix them, which means either theyre stuck open and anyone can come in, or theyre stuck closed and you have to drive way out of your way to get out. Id say they were broken about 30-50% of the 1+yrs I lived there.3. They have a terrible bug problem. There were ants in my apartment the day I moved in. I continued to have perpetual and and cockroach problems the entire time I lived there, despite the fact that I NEVER leave food out. After about 7 months in my house I have not had a single bug. They also kept saying theyd come spray for bugs and never did. It got the the point that I had to do it myself, even though they will charge you for pest control every month.4. The people that work there were nice. That is the only positive. Save yourself the trouble. ANYWHERE would be a better place to live than here.
My fiancé and I have lived here for almost a year now and we must have shown up after a staff overhaul because I think this place is pretty good! The office staff has always been nice to me and handled any issues promptly. I only had one maitenence issue that took awhile to resolve (leaking dishwasher) because the maitenence guy who ordered the part was let go and my order got lost in the switch. When I finally asked the office about it (2-3 weeks later)they were very embarrassed about it and maitenence was at the apartment within minutes. Ive never seen a roach and only had ants once. Again, prompt response by maitenence.Parking does suck by my building. I will say that. Im parked outside the complex most days. The carpets were in bad shape when I moved in and cant seemed to be fixed no matter how often I or the office steam clean.Ive only swam in the pool twice but it was very well maintained and super cute! Work out facilities are ok. Ive used them a few times. The gates are often broken but thats because of jerk residents who break them. It pisses me off. Ive seen people literally run into the gates with their bodies because they were drunk and had forgotten their clicker. Maitenence is ALWAYS out there fixing the gates. My neighbors are very quiet. Ive never had a noise issue but that could just be a lucky break on my part.Overall we really like it here!
This apartment is terrible, the maintenance here will take forever to get to any issue. The front desk will lie and tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to sign. Highly do not recommend.
The women in the office are profession powerhouses. They are friendly and informative. The maintenance crew is also led by some exceptional leaders. Ever since Lincoln took over and replaced the staff, the level of service has changed for the better. This includes parking concerns, pool cleaning, etc.
Eight months into lease our toilet flooded on its own. The office people said it was our fault and we ended up having to pay out of pocket $750. Be warned, if something like this happens they will not bare responsibility and will charge you and they only give you one month to pay.
I’ve lived here for over a year and the previous property manager did a good job on taking care of the property. But since the new owners took over they don’t care about their property. They don’t water the plants and they don’t clean the pool. Its very disappointing to see the negligence of this apartment complex.
Very high crime rate! Every couple of weeks something is stolen. From trucks taken, bikes, tires on cars, domestic abuse, even a prostitution ring. New management got rid of security patrol & parking is ridiculous. By the way-obviously no breed restrictions even though they claim there is. They should just allow all breeds because they seem to turn their cheek when being questioned about it. They need cameras but dont seem to get that. Trust me when I say your stuff will be taken. I didnt listen to reviews and it happened to us!
I was given false into about moving out and money due by the office staff. I followed directions as given, and now I owe thousands of dollars, and my account has been sent to collections. They use the previous owners as justification to do this. I would highly advise not to move here, as they care nothing about the tenants they lord over.
I was helped by Miss Mayra, very kind, very good person, she helped me a lot with my paperwork and they are very good apartments. Thank you, Miss Mayra.
I just love this place! The location is prime, which is a plus. The grounds are beautiful with an outdoor fireplace and patio area with outdoor tv. I love that this complex has a basketball and a workout gym! What?! Great place for a family. Definitely recommend.
It was amazing 2 years ago, but now the scariest people live there. I have witnessed a lot of break-ins, cars being broken into, and car windows being bashed. The pool has scary people as well. Friends of mine were attacked and the police had to come. (The staff didnt not care) Please be smart and look elsewhere! Everything about it is ghetto.
I just learned that they put a $150 cleaning fee on my credit after I had disputed it with management years ago when I moved out and they agreed not to charge me. Stary clear of this place management lies to you.
I just renewed my lease. Thanks to lori for great customer service. She has answered any questions or concerns ive had. And i am loving the new changes around here 🫶🏽
Overall, these apartments are very comfortable, great atmosphere, and great amenities. I stayed here over summer 2017 and I really enjoyed living here in San Antonio. Management is great and I recommend these apartments to anyone!
I finally got my work order done after idk how long… this new mgmnt might actually be doing something.
Loved these apartments and staff. Grocery store, Gas, restaurants and even bars are all less than a mile away. The leasing agent Brittany is the BEST!! I would highly recommend these apartments!
Sebastian with maintenance helped a lot. 5 stars
I had a good experience living here. The apartments and floor plans are nice. Jackie was always friendly and helpful.
I recently went in for information and the staff was very helpful. Lori was very professional and answered all my questions. Will definitely be going back to sign a lease!
The manger Paul has been great anytime I need something he gets me taken care of with no issues
Live here for the summer. Overall nice place. Was going to be a 5 star until monday when they went into my apartment to change the light bulbs without notice.
The new manager is amazing, nice and getting stuff done!! It’s about time!!
Pool green and disgusting. Gate broken for 2 weeks. New management company going to turn this into another one of their ghetto properties in their portfolio.
The complex was good until this new management came on. They are very unprofessional, lazy, and rude. Do not waste your money by living there; they will never help you with anything you may need.
Highly recommend this complex. The staff here really bends over backwards to meet any issues you may have. I have lived here over a month now and they have not disappointed me yet.
Good complex, great location..... but the staff is lacking and half the time they tell you wrong or misleading information. The outdoor areas could use a good cleaning and bug spray.
It was tough getting into this place because of the new owners but the girls at the front especially Jackie went far out of their way to get me though the crazy transition.
Vector the maintenance guy is super nice. He took care of couple issues when he was around. Definently deserves some appreciation.
**update ***THANK you managment- we appreciate you all Jessica, Ryan and Kelly handle our situation. I cant express how much we are grateful for sll your help.Love this place so very peacful and quite.
The leasing agents did a great job assisting me. Loved the customer service !!
The team in the office is really just the best. They were so attentive to me and my cousin .
Car has been broken into THREE TIMES, loud neighbors, gates are always an issue and unfriendly staff except for Crystal/Krystal, takes DAYS for maintenance to come fix anything in your apt, avoid this place.
Elsie was great help! Welcoming environment felt like home ❤️
Christin g. Is the best person to ask for help he will help you with anything
Beautiful on the outside but too overpriced for the inside. Youre paying for commodities. But very well maintained. #nice2geekyou
Great prices for quality apartments and the facilities are all state of the art.
Friendly staff, work orders efficiently completed, spacious apartments
Brittany was so nice and informative. She offers solutions and does what she can to help you out
Its okay has roaches in some if the bldgs, neighbors not respectful with noise/music
Fantastic amenities, friendly staff, and same day maintenance service! You cant beat that!
Love it here! Great experience nice and quiet!
The office team is absolutely amazing here
Real pretty from the outside
Nice property and great location!
My only complaint is the parking!
No one answers the phone, E V E R
Don’t do it.
Really nice.
Nice apts.
Sebastian did an amazing job. my work order was handled very prompt and swift. ty
A great place to live, the area is very quiet, the apartments are well-kept and in very good condition, the office staff is always attentive and willing to help, the application process is simple and fast, they accept pets. Highly recommended.
Excellent service from the office
I love living here it is very nice and safe
