Avoid This Place – Unresponsive, Unfair Charges, and Infested with RoachesI had an extremely frustrating experience with Cornerstone at the Overlook. They refuse to return my security deposit and have ignored all my calls and emails. Their lack of professionalism is unacceptable.To make things worse, they are trying to charge me for supposedly not giving proper notice before ending my lease, even though I followed all the required procedures and notified them on time. It’s clear they are just looking for excuses to keep my money ($2000).On top of that, the apartments are old, poorly maintained, and full of cockroaches. No matter how clean you keep your unit, the infestation is unavoidable because management does nothing to fix the issue.If you’re thinking of moving here, stay away! The management is unresponsive, the buildings are in terrible condition, and you’ll end up dealing with unnecessary stress and unfair charges. Not worth it!👎🏼
Ive been here for 2 weeks and I hate it. Getting the apartment was difficult, we had to constantly call the office to ask for instructions and they would often claim they didnt receive our emails. Once we got here, we found we were on the 3rd floor, after I had specifically asked that we have a first or second floor apartment. I get that you cant always get what you want, but a heads up wouldve been nice. The apartment didnt seem properly cleaned, it smelled like milk and the carpet had crunchy spots when we showed up. Theres still nails in the ceiling I found a few dead bugs in some drawers. At night I often hear people yelling outside my window, people dont pick up after their dogs, and even avoiding the grass doesnt help as theres feces on the sidewalk and even in the road. We were never told where to do laundry so I tried to call the office, but of course, no answer. I called them over and over this morning and finally got an answer. The laundry room was disgusting, I complained and the excuse I got was that its been raining and we just had a 3 day weekend. That was NOT a 3 day mess - there were spider webs in every wall corner and window sill. Additionally, I was never told about having to use an app for laundry, so I sat around for 15 mins downloading it in a room with no A/C. I honestly feel like the people in the office dont really care about residents, they just want money. Its the cheapest place in the area because its so low quality. One of the gates are left open and the system of using the app, and not having a gate code makes it easy for someone to just wait for the gate to get opened. I really would not reccomend living here if you have any standards for living.
I recently had the pleasure of living in this apartment complex, and I cant recommend it highly enough! The management team is exceptional—always responsive, friendly, and proactive in addressing any concerns. The maintenance staff is prompt and efficient, ensuring that everything is in perfect working order. The complex itself is beautifully maintained, with lush landscaping and well-kept common areas. The amenities, like the pool and fitness center, are top-notch and perfect for relaxation and recreation. The sense of community here is strong, with regular events that bring residents together. Location-wise, it’s convenient to shops, restaurants, and parks, making it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. Overall, this apartment complex provides a wonderful living experience, combining a supportive management team with a welcoming environment. Five stars all the way!
Maintenance review: They are fast and usually get my work orders done within a day. Raul does most of ours and he is always tentative and on top of things. When we first moved in we had 10 work orders and he finished most of them in one day. The other maintenance staff is always super friendly and wave when they pass by.

Between the water backing up, roaches, and Desiree’s poor attitude it’s not worth it. Came home from work to find sewage had backed up into my building. No one called to let me know. I tried calling the office 3 times to let them know and no answer. Walked up there and the doors were locked but it was open. As I was speaking with Desiree she turned and walked away from me. This is the 4th time that water/sewage has backed up into my apartment since I moved in on Feb 2023. As I tried to explain this to her and ask if they were going to get a remediation company to come out and clean it as its sewage, she just talked over me to tell me a professional plumbing company was coming out in 4-6 hours and that she doesn’t know. It’s level 3 water it is supposed to be professionally cleaned. It’s sewage. I will be reaching out to the area manager along with emailing their corporate partners. My shoes are ruined, my towels are ruined, my suitcases and duffle bags in my closest are ruined, and my bath mats.
PLEASE READ THIS !!!I was planning on waiting for my lease to expire before writing a lengthy review on my experience here at cornerstone, but i find that my concerns have not been heard or cared about and I am desperate for help here and if i can prevent even one person from living here then its worth it.I will first tell you how awful of a process moving in was. We came to the office after seeing the prices listed and when we asked about an apartment they raised the rent by quite the substantial amount. As well as when we signed a lease, which we made sure was at least 3 months in advance. We did all the paperwork paid everything we needed to just for us to luckily feel the need to check the status of our lease and it was discontinued a month before moving in. They had given our apartment away. In a panic we called and they gave us a different apartment, and at this point we were just happy to have somewhere to live.My second issue here was the fact that the gate is constantly open or broken, so within the first two weeks someone stole the fender flares off my car. We also have had federal officers in my parking lot as someone had apparently stolen a car which has since then made me extremely paranoid for our safety. I’ve seen many people here get their tires stolen off their vehicles. There have been many nights where i’m hearing concerning screams or loud thuds against my walls.Thirdly and quite possibly my biggest concern is the roaches. I have never in my life seen such an extensive roach infestation and i am ashamed to live here. Pest control will not come unless we put in an order but they will make sure you get charged every month for it. I have no way of knowing they actually are treating the problem and i am almost certain they are not. We are putting in pest control request almost every single week, and I am going through raid bottles every single week. Everyday i’m killing at least 15+ in my home. I’m scared to sit in my living room, Im scared to cook. I’m scared to use the bathroom, and i’m writing this review at 4:40am because I can’t even sleep here anymore because of the roaches around. They finally sent someone and he pulled my fridge forward exposing the 30+ roaches living behind my fridge. Confirming the level of infestation in my home. He told us we desperately needed to have our apartment smoked out with a treatment. I immediately went to my office to tell them i wanted the treatment done as soon as possible because I was having family over in a week for thanksgiving. They said they would call me with a follow up and never did. I keep going to the office and they never have an update for me. My family stayed with us for one night before leaving to find a hotel because they agreed living here is inhumane. For now i am trying to clean the roach droppings which has just been making me on and off sick.Maintenance is a complete problem here if it wasnt obvious enough. When we moved here we immediately started experiencing allergies come to find out our “refurbished” apartment had a moldy air filter in it. When we asked for a new clean one they gave us the wrong size and we had to amazon one. Our kitchen light wasnt working, some of our outlets were literally put in upside down or the cover was nailed on the wall and there wasnt even an outlet there. Our fan was broken. The water is constantly being shut off. We recently had our sink leaking into my down stairs neighbor’s apartment which took three days to have fixed and it was not a weekend. Due to this problem we were unable to do our dishes and because of the roach problem we can not have dishes in the sink for longer than an hr before the roaches come out. So within those three days the problem accelerated substantially.My family and loved ones are concerned for our health here agreeing that it is not live able here. Because of the mold and the roaches I use my inhaler, which i wasn’t using for years, almost everyday now. Please don’t live here. They don’t care about residents.
Do not move here. Maintenance robbed my apartment and office staff is covering for them. I’ve called multiple times saying I’m still there but they still put an abandonment letter on my apartment window and took my belongings. I don’t what time they put the letter but I called the same day they placed it and that’s when I saw my apartment had been ran through. Stuff where I never have it bags and drawers open my tools and some of my kids belongings missing. The office said they don’t know anything about that and maybe they don’t but someone with a key went in and took my stuff. They changed my key when they put the notice of abandonment and I had to get the key from the office to go into my apartment. There was no forced entry. Maintenance even came the next morning before office was opened and luckily I had my brother there and they argued with my brother for being in my apartment. I had no work order or anything for them to go to my apartment and this was literally the next morning after I reported my apartment being robbed. Don’t move here.
Im currently a resident of Cornerstone At Overlook Apartments, San Antonio Tx,78230. This is a formal complaint. I have a lease that is set to expire at the end of 12/24. Ive received offers via email to renew my lease as well as leaflets left near my door from the leasing office. The original email had renewal offers with the expiration date of 1/8/2025 as reflected in a note left on my door.11/15/24 there was a notice on my door dated 11/15/2024 reminder, reflecting the lease renewal rates and pricing with an expiration date of 1/8/25. 11/19/24 there was another Second Reminder notice placed on my door dated 10/10/24 with the same leasing offers but with an offer expiration date of 11/22/24. I went to the leasing office for an explanation of how a second notice is dated before the first reminder as well as an explanation of how the expiration dates abruptly changed. I was given the run around and told I can change dates as I please,its on the letters we left. Which it clearly isnt. This is a clear attempt to force me to sign a lease by changing the expiration date. I wish to sign before the expiration per original email at my discretion which is my choice. I do not wish to be rushed into signing a new just because they Say So. The office manager is very rude,unprofessional and have zero communication/people skills.
I absolutely hate living here and i can’t wait for my lease to expire. i will NOT BE RENEWING!!!it should’ve been a huge red flag when the first unit i toured was moldy and gross 🙄 i told the tourer “um EW!!!” and he showed me another “cleaner” unit (or so i thought) so i signed which is just so silly of me in hindsight and completely my fault. apart from all the pet remains everywhere (people! pick up after your pets!) and the homeless people just chilling in the laundry rooms (i was straight up harassed the other day by one), today is the second time that i’ve come back to my door being locked that i left open. how can maintenance come, walk through my open front door, and lock it behind themselves?? are they crazy?!? and guess why they’re in my house while i’m not there anyway! because i’ve been struggling with them to CONTROL THE PESTS!!! UGH! i’ve been basically calling them every week and it’s always something but it’s never resolved! also i’m BEYOND sick and tired of little miss at the front desk’s TERRIBLE ATTITUDE! anytime i try to confront her about anything, like these things listed here (ESPECIALLY MY LOCKED FRONT DOOR 🤬), she always has something to say but it’s never an apology! if you don’t mind these types of quality issues, just go ahead and move into a dumpster behind a gas station. you’d get the same thing, save yourself the money AND you won’t have to deal with attitudes for things that you should be getting HELP FOR!! 😖 literally whatever you do, do not live here.
Scam! Never go there! NOT Even for a tour, they lie all the time.We’ve been trying to apply since Thursday 25 of April. Every step or information they needed we had to call them back and ask them, what’s the next step? What’s the next step?Desiree showed us the apartment on Thursday 25th, she said the apartment B1 was 100% ready to use we just had to apply for it, sent documents between Thursday and Friday, I had problems on the website at 2pm on Friday and called them to let them know about it, the guy who picked up the call told me to call back Hillary (the manager) I kept calling her during the next 3 hours until 5:30pm and NEVER picked up my call.I called back on Saturday from 10am to 5pm and NO ONE picked up the phone.We continued calling on Monday and Hilary (the manager) said they had everything right on the system and that we had to wait until they had the response ready for me and my husband. Later they told us we needed a letter from our ex renter.Tuesday:Went back in the morning to leave the letter and they said everything was correct, we just had to wait.Wednesday morning:Desiree told us to come up to their office because the application didn’t go through and that she didn’t know why.Got there 20mins later and spoke with Anabelle, she didn’t know anything about our case and she started asking us why we didn’t get through the process which was absurd because we came up there to find out what happened. At the end of the appointment with Anabelle Desiree showed up saying the apartment was not ready (6 days after she said it was ready) Anabelle was very argumentative and didn’t listen to what we were saying, she was rude and the most incompetent representative I have ever met in my life.
Ihavehad no problems, Raul just fixed my water heater in a timely fashion. These guys are awesome and they take good care of me. 5 star treatment.
Worst apartments ever. they bombard you for rent payment but when you want to pay they want to lock up the office. they aren’t very good at getting any work orders done you have to constantly beg them.they are racist and will do anything for you to not get your payment in on time
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Cornerstone at Overlook. My apartment has been infested with roaches regardless of clean I keep it and despite numerous complaints, the management has done nothing effective to address the issue. The first picture is what I killed in one day which has been almost everyday for the past few weeks. When asked about pest control thats included in rent, you are required to submit a service request and wait the follow week for treatment. No written confirmation that treatment has been completed, as they are taking the word of the pest control company (Worldwide Pest Control). The presence of mold is another serious problem, which has not been properly dealt with despite repeated requests for repairs. Multiple homeless people roaming complex. Additionally, the management shows a blatant disregard for tenant concerns and maintenance requests. The lack of care and maintenance here is unacceptable, and I would strongly advise potential renters to look elsewhere.
Anabel and the staff here were great! They were super informative. I trust this management team to handle and future questions or concerns promptly! Looking forward to applying when our lease is up!
LIVE HERE IF YOU WANT YOUR CAR STOLEN!!Apart from many other issues I have had with this complex, the most unfortunate and confusing issue is that my car has been stolen, not once, but TWICE. I had to get a new car after the first went missing and not even a month later my new car is gone.The complex is a gated community and yet the front gate has been open to let anyone come in and out for months now.I urge you to reconsider moving here if you care about the safety of your vehicle.If you need a few other reasons to look elsewhere- consider roaches, unfixed AC units, a pool that never opens, MOLD… that’s just the beginning of all the amenities included with your rent. I strongly encourage you to find another place to live.UPDATE**** I received notification from the “apartment manager” that the gates had been fixed! Attached are pictures of the gate this morning at 5:30 am. WIDE OPEN! :) Can you show me where they’ve been fixed? It’s one thing to ignore an issue, but to be blatantly dishonest with tenants? Very professional.
Only reason why I’m putting 5 starts is because of the maintenance guy Cory. He’s always there when we have a problem or an issue. He’s always quick to answer and help! We appreciate that so much because management tends not to cares as much as our maintenance guy.
Was looking for a good settling space and the reviews are so abundant with their negative feedback that I’m now positive they are the truth. And listing units for cheap then fee stacking is worse than a Craigslist bait and switch! Completely turned me off from this location! Trust the reviews. I am on to better options!
Overall, the time Ive lived here has been pleasant. The recent issues with lease renewals, the front gate being open 24/7 as well as exit gates are what has it dropped from a 4 to 3 star review.The maintenance has always been hit and miss, although it has been improving under the new management. I would say if the front office could be consistent, and the issues with lease renewals fixed it, and the gates issues resolved, there would be a much better rating!No major issues with bugs/roaches, no issues with other residents, everyone looks out for each other. Great community! The landscaping and overall aesthetics could use some help. Although siding was replaced there are some places up higher that werent and need repair to prevent long term damage. Safe/good place to live overall.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! You will not be pying the low rent price seen on listings for these apartments. This complex raised the initially quoted rent amount the day I signed my contract on an apartment which has outdated appliances many shoddy repairs. What’s more, your packages and mail will be rejected or returned if not outright stolen here. Whenever I have tried raising these concerns to management, I have been treated rudely and dismissed.New management hasn’t changed anything. I can’t wait for their response to this telling me to contact the same rude individuals as before.Save yourself the peace of mind and money. If you’re looking for a place, DON’T MOVE here!!!
Phase 1 building 9 apartment 913 has been turned into the health department. This apartment has been growing black mold due to water damage that hasn’t been no concern of anyone in the office. The mold and mildew makes you sick and everything smells like it.Pictures and videos have been taken as well as samples of the black mold.I had to give a 1 star to post this ! 😳As of 8/7/2024They now want another 51.46 after everything that has happened in this apartment?! How about you pay for all the stress and suffering from the black mold and mildew?
Great price for the area, and the people in the management office have always been good to me. Heck the maintenance was so good in getting things done for me I bbq for them. It’s quiet and I’ve had nothing but a good experience in my time staying here.
WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX EVER!!!Living here is the worst nightmare imaginable. If I could leave zero stars I would. Management could care less about their residents. They are rude, don’t respond, and they certainly don’t help improve the place they care more about making money than fixing it! There’s a tremendous amount of mold that takes over every apartment; you can’t get rid of it as the ventilation is terrible and makes you sick. You always have to be aware of an infestation because although you pay for pest control they never come, and this place is roach central. Maintenance never responds and will ghost you; if they do help they leave a mess. They talk about amenities but the pool is always closed and green. Cars will get broken into because the gates are always broken and are always opened.
I have had so many packages returned to sender, held at the post office, or straight up stolen at this complex. Anytime I try bringing up the issue to office staff, I am treated rudely or given empty promises about how to make it better.If you’re looking for a place, please move somewhere else! I can assure you that you will find a better apartment complex for the jacked up rent they charge here.
Not a good place to live. Management can be difficult to communicate with. Our unit, and the unit above ours had black mold for almost 9 months before management did anything about it. The management towed our vehicles on accident and made us pay to get them back. They tack on random fees and charges that they expect you to pay without question, if you question it they just say, that’s the way it is. The pools are always under maintenance or disgustingly dirty. If you have a choice of where to live, choose somewhere else.
I give 5 star to the employee Raul. he is a brilliant and a hard working person who makes all the difference. he is always there to help and makes sure everything is in working order. he is the best. thank you to all the staff. I highly recommend cornerstone at overlook.
A beautiful spot in a great area! Management is open and very friendly, they did everything they could to get us into the apartment we wanted. Apartment was in perfect working order on move in day. Can’t recommend it enough.
This review is for 2 maintenance workers here, Andre and Chris. They always complete my work orders quick and are so nice. I work nights so they are always mindful of noise in case Im sleeping. They always clean up after themselves and make sure they dont leave any dirt or trash in my apartment. I often see them around the apartment complex when walking my dog and they are always kind and answer any questions I have about maintenance issues.
Hot days, pool never open. Been green like this for years. Don’t even get me started on maintenance issues completely bad, ignoring residents…. That goes for office people as well. New set of management and still not good.
I was really interested in moving here. I’m not sure if the office staff is just extremely lazy or they just don’t take their jobs seriously. Whoever hires them, needs to get a staff that is organized and more professional. I got to “tour” once 3 weeks ago and it was so bad. I was waiting in the office with one staff member and she took about 45min to finally start the tour. She was just laughing, telling me about some personal things she had going on, and talking to everyone in the room. Anyway, she takes me to see a classic unit then back to the office. I really wanted to see the renovated ones but she said she would take pictures and send them the next day. It’s been 3 weeks! I called twice each week and got told they would call me back, nothing. I called a few days ago and finally get told that they are out of 1 bedrooms. When they had several when I first reached out. I never leave reviews for apartments, but after all that, I felt the need to return the respect. :)
I was going to move but under the new management things are much better. Work orders get a prompt response, the grounds look nice, pools are clean and staff is very courtious and helpful. The rent is reasonable considering the area we are in. Its also quiet at nights. I am renewing my lease.
If I could give this property a 0 I would . I’m never the type to leave reviews but the experience I had with these people have been ridiculous. I applied for a unit on 1/28 and move in date was set for 2/14 . I got approved for the unit on 1/29 , so I called the office since they never reached out about my approval . Spoke with everyone in the office and everyone kept telling me they would get back to me and never did . After 3 maybe 4 days of calling and emailing I finally got ahold of the “property manager” and let her know my frustration and she seemed to be concerned and promised better communication and apologized for the inconvenience. Moving forward I kept calling to see what information they needed and they still never got back to me. I live 6 hours away and told them I needed to know something soon . I left voicemails and STILL NOTHING. Today 2/15/24 they ARE BARLEY CALLING ME ABOUT MY UNIT ! Don’t waste your time here if I am having this much trouble trying to get my unit situated after already being approved I can just imagine how they take care of their residents ! Hillary rod jones Melanie could have easily just called and communicated something with me as they knew I was moving down and was stressing about my unit and nothing . Very unprofessional
If I could give zero stars, I would. I was scheduled for an 11:30 AM showing. They messaged me at least three times making sure I was going to show up. When I showed up the first thing, the office lease tells me is it’s going to be a while till I get to you. A gentleman was sitting in the lobby and he ended up letting me know that he’s been there since 11 o’clock, at this time it was 1130.The gentleman let me know that two of the tenants here came in and complained that the emergency maintenance did not answer, and that the carpets were molding.I immediately walked out, I would not consider this apartments at all. They wasted my time and my gas . Very disappointed

Please do not move here I moved here in December 2021.From another state first and foremost I asked for washer dryer unit no carpet come in they give me a unit with the hook up then say they are out of washer and dryer’s but I can rent from listed companies near by while never returning the fee for the washer and dryer. Apartment had carpet no counter plus the fridge did not work didn’t get a new one for 2 months my heater was broken and the panel from A/C fell on my work computer and I was out of work for 2 weeks due to this and it happened twice while living here. I was given what they call and updated unit which I did not ask for no where on the contract do they tell you that it’s extra $175. The second time my computer broke I was out of work for about the same amount of time.but it got worse the apartment is old so for months before leaving I was dealing with leaks it’s so bad the water was coming out of the walls and ceiling was caving in they came out caulking that’s it. The laundry door was patched together after living here almost two years it gave out. Our car was stolen and. And to top it all off I was signed out of the portal and the excuse is I cannot make partial payments anymore was never an issue before. The maintenance women Courtney came to my door and told me that I needed to leave the unit and sheriffs will be by later to proceed with eviction. I call and was then told that I was given a notice on august 24 which was a lie I never got a notice to leave I got a late notice letter which I still have.I went to go take some items I sold on Facebook marketplace I came back and locks are changed. Call office and let them know what they did is illegal I have possession until September 24 they refused to let me back im even though I still had WiFi and lights set up and they added $690 charge to my account for what idk. And they maitnace woman laughed at the fact that I have no family here and no where to go untill the 23.please save yourself. They steal cars here, steal money, lie and do everything illegally. Heartless place and please believe all the bad reviews my neighbors apartment has been leaking for 2 months also and they just shut off his water from time to time without notice.
Leasing here was the worst decision. only live there 6 months and one of the pools never opened because it is green (we were told when we saw the place for the first time that they just needed to clean it.) obviously that never happened, the laundry rooms are way too small only 4 dryers and 4 washers and they are always broken making you pay for half washed or dried clothes. The maintenance people are nice but they never fix anything. We were never helped when we reported issues and they would say they went (even tho I had a ring camera) it was just ridiculous. They charge you for using the amazon dropping lockers which is inside the main pool area that is only open during business hours. Living there was hell, as a responsible dog owner it was ridiculous the amount of feces around the complex, other people never pick up after their pets and it is mainly because all the baggy stations are always empty. Think of it twice before moving here. Also gate is always broken, there is always homeless crossing through the property to get to the shopping center in the back of the apartments, the main manager seems like she hates working there, and on top of everything I asked if I could get acces to the apartment Monday since I forgot a 300 dollar Kitchen Aid after leaving the unit nice and clean Saturday (last day of lease) first they told me they would call me back, and when they did they said the apartment was cleared out and everything left was trashed.... (Even tho ghe only day that passed was a Sunday, which they are close) It is very upsetting because in the six month that I lived there I saw they took forever to clear out other neighbors apartments.DO NOT RENT HERE

When I first was looking into this property I thought the location was great and the area looked cute. I should have realized when the office staff called me 3 times in one day after applying asking me who was the person that actually helped me. Felt like they just wanted the commission.Im suppose to be in an upgrades unit and have the separate charge added but they pushed back my move in date due to the renovation. On move in day they made me sign the lease before going to the unit because they were still cleaning the apartment. Once there I realized why.It was obvious there was not much cleaning done. The windows were covered in paint (some I still can’t get off), scratches on the vinyl floors. The toilet seat is broken and wobbles. There was not hot water, cabinet doors missing (which they informed me and I was fine with), the bedroom door had a large hole in it, the ac cover was taken from another old unit because someone threw this one away, pealing popcorn ceiling, peeling paint in the bathroom, the disposal didn’t work, the dishwasher was not mounted to the cabinets, and water was looking under the sink. All documented and notified.The office refused to offer any compensation other then to open another unit down the way for me to shower (two days after notified). The water heater still does not work well, I get 10 minutes of hot water before it turns cold and it’s not up to code with the emergency valve attached.Water was leaking into the bedroom from upstairs and after four days I had to go into the office to get any help because no one responded to maintenance requests or voicemails.Bugs are spotted regularly despite the pest control.The girls in the office all try to avoid talking with me, they hurry me out and off the phone when I call. They say they will inform you or keep you up to date but don’t. You have to call multiple times and hope someone answers.It’s suppose to be gated but the gates have not worked for over a month.Trash is everywhere on the grounds.An oven was left out front of a unit for a month, even after a new tenant moved in.I will say them maintenance crew is very nice when you get to see them. I have never had a bad interaction with them.

They do not fix issues that are submitted in the 48 hour move in resident inspection. The day I moved out everything reported on the notice was not fixed except for one minor item. The roaches are terrible despite good house cleaning. On top of that they DID NOT refund my $437.34 credit that they over charged me when I moved out. The staff is short and does not answer questions. They routinely hung the phone up on me and would not return my emails and voicemails. Highly DO NOT recommend this place.
Weve had so many problems since we moved in, the neighborhood isnt safe, the gates never work appliances keep breaking, if your apartment gets flooded good luck getting someone to come and actually fix the issue. We stayed because we thought it was a good idea to live here and we didnt want to break our lease, we got roped into doing a second year because they sent out the notices so late and got stuck living here, this last flood is the last straw, were leaving this place you guys can have nice office folks but you have to help your tenants!
Worst apartments ever. When we received our apartment I wrote down so many things that needed to be fixed. The switches didn’t even have switch covers and you can see all the wires. The pool and gym is only open when the office is open but of course they don’t tell you that. The pictures online is nothing close to how the apartment property actually looks. The apartment under us took 4 months before they even bothered clearing it out. I left for two days and left a $200 appliance under the sink I called and they were no help. Yes my fault for leaving the appliance, but they were rude for no reason to both me and my husband. They said it had already been cleared out. I know for a fact it had not because these apartments are too lazy and take weeks or months before fixing anything. On top of it, it was a weekend and they are closed Sunday so there is no way that they cleared out the apartment in 1 day. Nothing but liars and useless people in the office. I wish I had listened to the tenants at the apartment who told us to never live there. Ask all the neighbors nobody is happy to live there.
Ladies in the office are very nice but I waited weeks just to see an apartment put a down payment and it looked nothing like the one they showed me the first week of that month when I walked in after they called and said it was ready to move into . I saw new carpet but that was the only thing that was good toilet had mold and was leaking , walls had mold that they just painted over disposal didn’t work and to top it all off roaches and ants…. I talked to the groundskeepers and they straight up told me they probably weren’t gonna replace the walls I’m sure the staff here is forced to do this by the owner but to top it all off I asked for my deposit back and they told me they’d mail it to me I don’t make reviews but please save your time and money and STAY AWAY from this place.
This complex is beyond hazardous, unsafe, and completely ran down. my car was stolen a couple weeks ago, due to gates being left wide open, no cameras on property, and no safety measures. why have gates if they have never worked. not only does this complex have pest issues, asbestos and barely functional appliances, their maintenance man takes forever to complete work orders. i have filed a work order due to my ac being out a month ago, still has yet to be fixed, it has been outrageous living in a hot apartment and having to haggle with the office people for them to get someone to work on it. if you want a clean environment with the bare minimum this place is not for you, this place doesnt even offer bare minimum living.
I was enticed by the advertised price point, which was $620 in 2020 but came closer to $700 after extra fees were added. My first week or so was miserable because of a roach infestation. More than any Ive ever seen at any other apartment Ive lived in. I open the cabinet under the sink and saw that the wood had just kinda rotted away, leaving a big gap for pests to come through. It was quick to be fixed though I did attach pictures.Now on to daily life here. Even after that gap was fixed Id still see roaches often, but oddly enough, only tiny ones no bigger than a quarter. Never any adult sized ones. And this is coming from a total neat freak. There have been times when the AC stopped working during the summer and it was absolutely unbearable. Always took a while to get fixed and oftentimes, your maintenance work orders will be marked as complete even if nothing was done.The rent jumped and is now closer to 800. Theres washers and dryers on the property that usually work, though you may want to check the insides for any guests as the laundry areas look unkempt.IMPORTANTIf you have food or groceries delivered you ABSOLUTELY must give the driver detailed instructions, or else your items may be delivered to someone with your same apartment number. The property is divided into 2 sections; Phase One and Phase Two. There is someone with your same apartment number but lives in the other Phase. Although the two phases actually have different addresses, sometimes your delivery driver may slip up and deliver to the wrong apartment if youre not detailed enough. There have been many times in which I get a message that my order was delivered, then I look outside and see nothing on my doorstep and think Oh &$#@ and hurry to my sister apartment with the same number and hope I can swipe my items off of their doorstep.Id rate my experience as a whole here as a 6/10. Its not the worst, but if youre single and want your own place, its a start. I cant speak on the pricing for places that are more than one bedroom, but I pay a little under 800 which is actually among the cheaper rents in the city.
Everything Ive experienced here from the leasing process handled by KAREN DAVIS and the rest of the lovely people in the office to the maintenance staff being approachable and working quickly has been a pleasure. I highly recommend. The apartments are spacious and will laid out with plenty of plugs and lights. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED

The apartment complex is clean, peaceful and beautiful. The room is cozy! Thanks to karen she took her time to make sure that I had the the unit I needed, the maintenance was fast too, the entire staff are helpful. Superb customer service.

They don’t want to answer their phone the lady upfront is forgetful. And won’t call back or email you back. I’m not mad just annoyed they wasted my time.They have been beating around the bush and not answering my questions of what they need for me. They took my money but won’t callback when they say they will I’ve been going back and forth with them for 2 weeks and I’m 1 week from being homeless because they don’t want to communicate. I feel like I have to sit in the office all day to get a damn answer from them. Don’t move here.

Lived here for 3 years and loved it. I would recommend this place as long as you live on the top floor because you can hear EVERYTHING on the bottom floor. Also have your own washer and dryer because the laundry room has too many issues. The office staff is great though. They are always ready to help and super friendly. Ive lived here through many office staff and management changes but they always manage to be amazing. The only reason i left was because I outgrew this place and i wanted something different. The location around here is great and everything is so close. Its a very quiet complex and everyone keeps to themselves. I always felt really safe here as well.
I have lived at this property approximately two years now. There were some complications from transitioning from the old property management to new.PROS: Management and staff are friendly and helpful.Maintenance is kind and always completes work orders quickly.The property is overall quiet, peaceful and pleasant.Pool areas are clean and comfortable for use.There is a gym / hours of use could be better.Ease of paying rent or other expenses on the property app.CONS: The patio areas are not gated, however, I have never had issues with anyone entering.Frequent issues with the gate not opening. You might be better off investing in a remote which is $50 each.I did have some issues with the small German roaches, however management sent over fumigation very quickly.PLEASE read the lease carefully: Fees will be charged for any animal that visits that is NOT approved on your lease. This means even if a friend visits and they bring their pet or you are pet sitting for them you will be charged fees unless you give notice to management for approval.ALSO, management can enter your apartment at any time without written consent or notice.This place has been very nice to call home. I feel safe here with my family. My recent experience of very large fees on my account due to pet sitting has given me extreme anxiety. I didn’t receive notice for my charges, they appeared on my account. I nearly cried thinking that I wasn’t going to be able to pay the amount. I only wrote this review to prepare anyone moving here to follow protocol to avoid unexpected fees. I should have read my lease more carefully :/Overall, this is a pleasant and nice place to live. It is affordable and a nice size unit for the rent amount.Hope this helps :)
I used to live here. I am writing this to inform anyone trying to find their first or cheap apartment. This apartment complex is right across section-8 housing and because the gates do not always work, non residents just come and go as they please cause a lot of trouble and leave trash and destruction in their wake. My car had been broken and my boyfriends keys were inside, I personal went to the office the same day to request that the locks be changes the staff was women who was working was sweet and said she would put in the work order. A week past and the locks were never changed. Me and family got robbed at gun point in our unit, the police and my family noticed their was no damage to the door or the property(meaning they had a key). In collective goods we lost over $4,000 worth in electronics. Needless to say we moved immediately,but before we left the office personal tried to offer us another unit that was not only smaller but more then what we had been paying before!?! I agree that when management changed they had a lot to handle but this should have never happened. Please i know this place is cheap but its not worth your safety! The Units are below par too, and the gates always seem to be broken, the maintenance guys are sweet and try their best but it doesnt change the mediocrity of the complex,nor the area surrounding it. TERRIBLE PLACE. I went to move in. I was unloading the truck and putting everything in the apartment. I noticed that there were several roaches. German roaches. German roaches are the worst and most difficult ones to get rid of. Packed everything up back in the truck. I wrote an email to them asking if they can fix it. They began telling me these are the cleanest apartments around. That I was lying. I went in person with my pregnant girlfriend to talk with them. They were very rude to both of us. We got out of the lease. We were promised we would get a full refund. We never got that. I felt insulted with how everything was handled. Albert was the manager. I told everyone I knew to stay away. They said it was a very high end apartment. NO. STAY AWAY. KEEP YOUR MONEY. They wouldnt even help with anything. I had to keep the truck longer because of that. Which means I had to pay the extra money.
Moved in at the beginning of this year. Staff is extremely rude. Multiple maintenance issues. Maintenance NEVER answers. I’ve had to call multiple times and put in multiple requests to get someone out here. The emergency maintenance line is a joke. I had a water leak that completely flooded my closet and spread to the bedroom due to the water heater, it took them at least three days before anyone came out to fix it. Didn’t even send anyone to turn off the water. I haven’t had any hot water since the first few months of moving in. Maintenance comes in and resets it instead of fixing or replacing it. I gave up on requesting them to fix it. The water heater is also NOT on a pan, just right on top of carpet in the closet. My AC went out MULTIPLE times until they finally replaced it. It was hotter in the apartment than outside. I had to stay elsewhere because it was way too hot to stay here with my dog and baby. They do not salt walking areas when it freezes over, and it gets extremely slippery. When it rains, there is so much mud stacked near the curb when you walk to your car, making it a hazard. I slipped and fell in that mud and threatened to sue, so they cleaned up some. But it still gets very muddy, they need to remove all of that dirt against the curbs. The office staff rarely answers the phone. And when they do, they are rude.They are never apologetic for not properly handling situations. And they do not respond to messages sent through the portal. There are constant gate issues. It takes forever to get in and that’s when it actually does work. Sometimes the gates just don’t open regardless if you’re coming in or out. From the day I got my keys, I immediately found multiple roaches, informed them and they sent pest control. There were even roaches inside the empty fridge. But it’s worthless. I have had to be my own pest control because theirs isn’t helpful one bit. They had multiple potholes that they only fixed due to a corporate visit. Not worth the price. They do not care about the tenants. I guarantee they wouldn’t want to live here either. Highly do NOT recommend living here.
Roaches and get horrible leasing office!The entire front desk doesn’t know anything every time I call. Every time I put a work order it’s the worst work done. I have to redo it myself. We pay for exterminator whatever they are putting doesn’t work. This is the worst place I’ve ever lived.
I wanted to leave an updated review. My husband and I have been here for.8 years. Maintenance crew has never been that good. The Maintenance Crew they have now, they are awesome! They call you and keep you informed, they really go the extra mile. The lady named Hillary, very friendly and nice. Think she is apart of management. I had an package delivered to the lockers. Well, we cant access the locker, it is stuck and wont open. The older gentleman, ( with the glasses) and one.of the maintenence guys tries to help us get it open but had no luck. Hilary was supposed to be finding out how to fix the issue. There was a lady in there Thursday night,after business hours, maybe part of management, my husband asked her a question and she yelled at him and said Im not.working right now. We just had a question about the locker not opening. If you dont like people, you in the wrong field. This is why I gave 4 stars. She was very rude and unprofessional. Still havent got our package yet but hopefully someone will be able to help us with that.

Cool place to live in a nice area and very affordable. Office staff nice and willing to help... no noise complaints property kept clean... and you can pay your rent online which was great for me! Only thing I would say I didn’t like and why I gave 4 stars is maintenance doesn’t finish a job... things like my storage doors were suppose to be replaced when I moved in never done... the unit above had a leak and that was 3 months ago and still the area above tub in bathroom still not complete. Minor things that don’t stop you from living but just a little irritating. But aside from that the assistant manager Alfred is awesome very kind and respectful. Brandi the manager always kind and respectful really takes her role serious and try’s to help in anyway... very responsive to emails and anytime you go in the office you’re greeted with a smile. There are two other ladies in the front as well they are great! I would recommend this property for sure!!! Hope this review helps the next person find their home 😊
I went in with my daughter for a tour on Wednesday, Cynthia was patient, friendly and very helpful. The complex is very well taken care of, and the location in San Antonio is very convenient. Its a big transition when youre moving from another city as a single mom, so for me its important that the manager be open honest and provide great service and attention to detail. While the final decision will be my daughter, I am recommending you location.
Bait and switch. Be real cautious looking at the website and inquiring about apartment availability. We were looking for a 2bed 1 bath. The website said they had 1 available and a few coming up they were also advertised at $885 for rent. First time we went they had one but werent ready to move. Came in a month later got showed another apartment. After we filled out our application and left to go get a money order they called to tell us rent is now $1,035. Mind you this price is not advertised anywhere and were told the first time we were here that rent is $885. We then said we would wait and continue looking at it her complexes in the area, they had another 2 bed 1 bath on the site that said it would be available in a month. We asked if we could apply for that apartment but apparently the people were still living there and they can pull their moving notice up until the last day. Im not sure what administrator runs the site but they need to work on advertising accurate information. The woman Jordan in the office was real nice. She is the only reason why Im comfortable giving this complex 1 star.

I have been here for a week and Brandie and her team have been awesome. They are getting ready to fix the gates and have the parking lots repaved. The new management really does care about the tenants well being and safety. I have never had an issue with the new staff. They are always polite and very friendly. They will go beyond the extra mile to help you out. Just wanted to say thanks to Brandie and her team. Yall are awesome! Thanks for getting my apartment ready in time for me to move in. Everything looks wonderful.
Angel is a good maintenance man and Cynthia has been helping me out when ever I have questions since I moved in. Other then that, I mean its cheap appartments and you get what you pay for.At the beginning of summer my a/c unit went out and suprisingly they were able to get me a new one in 1 month when theres an a/c unit shortage. But on the other end I have been asking to have the weathering strip to be repaired since I moved in and its apperently impossible without taking off the whole frame. A third of my outlets never worked. Im lucky my appartment never had german roaches but Ill get the occasional wood roach with extreme temperatures from the vents and have to kill them fast.Expect the trash to be a little more expensive cause idk how there is always furniture accumulating around the dumpsters but there is.
First of all, after moving in, I noticed the apartment would run out of hot water in 5-10 minutes. The dishwasher was leaking as well and maintenance would say they would come back to fix it after getting the proper tools but they would just mark the order as completed.Second of all, I had to leave due to domestic violence which I gave them the report for and the assistant manager tried to bully me into staying. I filled out a paperwork with the date that I was leaving and they ILLEGALLY changed the date after I had already signed it. I was already halfway across the country when they called me to tell me I couldn’t turn in the keys, and that I had to give them a 60 day notice when they know I couldn’t stay because I was in danger.They are the absolute worse and I’m still thinking of suing them.
They ignore repeated maintenance requests and try charging tenants for their lack of maintenance.For over two months I made maintenance requests for a leak w/ the laundry room pipe in my unit closet, and they never sent someone to fix it. During that two-month period wait for maintenance, I had to pay for their public laundry room, which has mostly broken washers -- going on over a month w/o being repaired.They habitually cancel maintenance tickets and/or mark them complete without doing repairs. After they ignored several online maintenance requests about the leaking pipe in my unit laundry closet, I called in and was assured that someone would arrive that day. Again, no one showed up. Then, inevitably the leak worsened. Apartment mgmt told me that I would be charged for the leak; YET, the only way they could fix a leak was by putting a metal pipe cap on it. Meaning there was nothing I could do to stop the leak because...*****Im not a maintenance guy with a metal laundry pipe cap lying around (see image). **********Since they had to put their own cap on it to stop the leak, it was obviously a mechanical issue with their poor pipe knobs, and whatever other undermaintained parts of the pipe system they have.******Leaking laundry pipes are a common issue with these apartments. Not surprising, considering they dont answer maintenance requests. Look at other reviews/complaints.NOTE: besides routinely ignoring maintenance requests, apt management has a tendency not to perform maintenance requests mid-month -- instead, they either wait until after they receive the next months rent; until 3 requests in the 30-day limit is reached w/o contact w/ tenant before a tenant can complain to SA Fair Housing; or, probably in my case, since I turned in my move out notice -- until people move out. Im still technically a resident during the period of the leak, but I believe theyre trying to charge me as a move out charge for the damage.I moved here while a student at UTSA. Both units I lived in were poorly maintained and not move-in ready. W/ both moves, I had to clear out prior tenants junk and I had chalk on the walls from a prior tenants kids, and so forth. Its the same issues throughout the complex, just look at the perpetual trash on the ground and lack of resolution to mailbox break-ins.
The Collection at Overlook has been amazing to me since I moved in. The new staff and new Manager Brandie have made my stay here that much better. New management added closed gates which has benefited the complex and parking has never been a problem. The new management has had a positive impact around the complex.The maintenance team is great and handles all situations professionally. My A/C was acting up and they fixed it the very next day. Working long hours I come home to a very quiet place and never have any problems with any of my neighbors. Management is tentative to my emails/calls. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great price,in an amazing spot in town to stop by and speak to one of the agents,that provide a warm family welcome.
***This review is my experience of almost signing a lease here***First and foremost Lily was an absolute BOSS in helping answer my questions about this complex. Had another apartment I had been considering not get back to me so soon, Id have 100% signed here. The unit I toured is definitely older as are the appliances, but I was already picturing myself a year in the unit. The 1x1 was spacious and more than enough room for just myself. The area in general was great and is nearby a good amount of places. If youre considering this place Id definitely recommend giving this place a look at least!
I signed my lease yesterday on the 5/23/2018. Turned out to be a big mistake. They gave me a crappy ass apartment that was most likely not even fixed after the last people who moved in. The counters are all covered with paint, beyond damaged and stained. The place was not even cleaned! It has dust everywhere, poorly pained and littered with holes from nails and tacks. Its disgusting really. Management refuses to help because I signed a lease. Youd think theyd want to lease something worth while. Guess not.Beside the crappy damaged counter tops, the lighting in the kitchen is held up by 3 nails. Completely horrid. Closet doors are backwards. Dishwasher and fridge are damaged.Honestly my advice dont rent here and if you do, your screwed, but makes sure the apartment is suitable for you. Dont make the mistake I did.Good luck.
I just moved in on Friday, October 22. I was supposed to move in on Tuesday, Oct. 19, but late in the afternoon on the 18th I was informed via email that the bathtub was being refinished. On Saturday, the 23rd I had my first full day in the apartment. I had been out with family all day. When I came in, the apartment was a sweltering 80 degrees and no air coming from the vents. The thermostat was set at 71 degrees. We tried calling and leaving messages. We also tried to enter a maintenance request on the resident portal. For some reason I can make a payment on the portal, but I cant make a maintenance request. I am very unhappy with my decision to move into Cornerstone at this point.
I just moved in to this apartment complex and so far have no complaints. I do agree that there is a bunch of kids running around and quite loud but they are just playing.. By night time it is pretty quiet. In my apartment we have a brand new dishwasher and fridge. I cant speak for other units. I had a complaint about the shower and within 2 days someone came out to fix the issue. The first day I moved in I noticed there was no shower rod. I called the office and the came the same day to deliver. The A/C works great. We can have it set to 80 and it is still comfortable inside. So far, so good. I have no complaints. I would recommend the property to someone in need. Especially because they were one of the only locations to help me even with a broken lease.
Ive lived here for years and am finally moving. For the 1st few years, I knew I got what I paid for. Semi-clean, poorly maintained, but affordable and relatively quiet. Now my rent has increased over $200/month, but nothing has changed. The outlets in my bathroom dont work and I dont have screens in my windows, but apparently my apartment is worth $970/month. It took over a month to fix the lock on my front door! The buildings exterior lights have been flickering on and off randomly throughout the night for about 6 months. Sometimes they stay on for days, then they turn off for 30 min, or theyll stay off 2 nights in a row...its unsafe.Last year they said the rent increase was to fix the gates, but only the exit gates close - the entrance gates stay open. What is the point of that?!And the bugs!! I never had a bug problem until this summer, but they were everywhere! When I asked the office to spray, they said they only do it quarterly and its probably just a dirty neighbor causing the problem. Tiny cockroaches all over my kitchen no matter how much bug spray, bleach, and detergents I used. I couldnt let a dirty dish sit for 5 minutes without being paranoid that it would bring yet another roach.If youre willing to pay $900+ for an apartment than there are definitely cleaner, safer places to live with more attentive staff. Or you could just head across the street and pay $750/month for similar accommodations without all the pretense and false advertising.

My husband and I werent able to find a new place and were forced to renew our lease and its just been one horrible experience after another. They will fine you for ANYTHING. The laundry rooms are almost always broken down, they just closed the gates and you have to pay $50 for a remote or drive all the way around the complex to go through a ridiculously inconvenient process to get it. Emergency maintenance is ZERO help. They left me locked out of my apartment overnight and I had to find another place to stay until my husband got home in the morning. Theres been black mold in my unit from a leak in another apartment and no one is fixing it despite the maintenance requests. There have been two separate accounts of attempted breaking ins to my unit. There are cops blocking the lots at least once a week. Management refuses to do anything about the illegal actions one of my neighbors does almost on a daily basis. Management is so rude and cold and hard to even get ahold of. Two of the three pools have been closed off most of our lease and renewal. There are roaches crawling around all over the sidewalk, in the drains, in the mail rooms. Weve noticed food and other possessions missing after maintenance finally decides to stop by and look at something. I could go on and on, just avoid moving here.
I have lived here for the last five years and not because I want to, but for personal reasons. This place is the worst! Especially since new management just took over. My apartment has been robbed once and cops are usually blocking entrances and roads on a monthly basis.I never get a notice about construction or water being shut off unless it is an excuse to fine me for either picking up someone elses cigarette butts, having a flag on my porch, or not taking down my holiday decorations the day after its passed. DO NOT LET NEW MANAGEMENT CONVINCE YOU TO MOVE HERE! They slide higher prices on monthly rent, they have done nothing to improve the complex except for their fancy glass office, and this place is not even gated. The gates havent worked the entire time that I have been here. Also, they refuse to make repairs or replace bulbs or filters. We even put work orders in sometimes and they write it off claiming that it has already been done. I look forward to moving out of this place! The staff has been completely ignorant in dealing with anything, and they are extremely rude! THEY DO NOT DESERVE YOUR INTEREST!
Horrible experience living here. The unit was decent and for the price it was enjoyable, but management was absolutely horrible and so frustrating. They did not take care of the property has there has been a large pothole on the property for like two years. They also do not have connections for washers and dryers in some of the units but for some reason did not maintain the washers and dryers in the laundry room as more often than not there was only one washer and dryer working. They charged me several hundred dollars than what was owed, and when I tried speaking with someone they refused to return my calls. I recently moved out and was hit with so many different fees that made no sense and am trying to pay my final bill but they deleted my account so now I cant. I have to call a third party collection service to pay my final bill because apparently they dont keep any records for whatever ridiculous reason. Do not move here, the cheap rates are not worth the head aches that management will give you.
I have 2 days with my toilet broken y called the office I dont know how many times and looks like the office personal dont care about tenants , I was told they were going to change the linoleum after a water leak after 2 years i am waiting still, one other thing they dont care about people walking their pit bulls dogs unleash also people with loud music at night , when ever I called the office they have only rude people with none customer skills . I pay my rent on time I would like to know why they treat their tenants like that?? in case you will put that my name is unknown I leave in apt#1111
I have literally been here for a week so far. I do like my studio apt. Its been renovated and perfect for me and my dog. Management really lacks customer service. My stove went out and have been patiently waiting for them to come fix it. You call over to the office and nobody ever answers the phone. Its really frustrating. Im glad I only signed a 9month lease. The only reason Im here is because of my pit bull. The no breed restrictions were the reason I decided to live here. Ill leave another review towards the end of my lease. :/
I have lived here close to six months. Management had been working on improving the outside as well as the apartments since I first moved in. The gate has been working since July and I have been thrilled because it is now quiet outside my apartment at night. I have a cute one bedroom apartment and have had no complaints. The other day I came home from work and found that my apartment lock wasnt working anymore and wouldnt lock. I called the office early in the morning before leaving for work and they didnt return my call. I work long hours during the day and Im not sure if they are here on Sundays. The next morning I caught maintenance while they were just getting on shift. The man was very nice and followed me to my apartment and got it fixed in minutes. Everyone has been nice and when I have had concerns I was always able to find someone to assist me.
I had a few questions and concerns about moving here and Cynthia really helped me out. I always appreciate good customer service and clear communication. Its a big transition when youre moving from another state. I wish came across more people with her honorable service and attention to detail
Terrible staffing, ladies in the front are always rude, never can get answers to anything. Basketball court, pool and gym were closed the whole 3 years living there, the washers and dryers around the whole complex were always broken, they never fixed anything ever and front ladies never knew anything but how to hang up on you. Got billed for pet damages when we moved out but paid a deposit and they took the deposit and never put the money towards the account and everyday for a month we called about it they never called us back and the manager was never in but then they tried to send the bill to collections still never putting the deposit towards our account. The price monthly here isn’t bad but honestly pay an extra $100 a month somewhere else and save the headaches
If you have residents living in an apartment complex 24/7, a maintenance staff should be available 24/7. Yet, we are going on Day 2 of 90 degree temperatures INSIDE because of our broken A/C at The Collection at Overlook, and no acknowledgement from staff of our maintenance requests or attempted communication yesterday and today. We didnt sleep here last night and we wont be able to sleep here again tonight. 😡 Can we send our hotel bills over to you?We have not had an entirely unpleasant stay here. However, the office girls asked us to lie to cover for them switching days off before we even signed a lease, the gate has not been working in weeks, my husbands motorcycle was stolen this past Wednesday (likely helped by the fact that the gate hasnt worked in weeks), the fitness center is closed indefinitely, and sometimes they decide clean the pool. There is no enforcement of community rules and we have had parties at the pool (which we live across from) going until 2am. Things havent been unlivable until our AC broke this weekend...actually, it broke last week, and they did a temporary fix, so now were sweating through our clothes again.Its not the worst place Ive ever lived, believe it or not...but Id keep looking if I were you.
I’ve always been a person of seeing things for myself! After reading reviews I was skeptical about the property but after going in and looking for myself I must say that the staff was friendly and super helpful I did see that they were making renovations and changes for the better! Will be looking into renting here, the area is super convenient and close to shops grocery stores and restaurants
I made the worst decision to move in these apartments. I havent been here 3 months, my ac has went out three times and there are no back up units available ; my stoves continues to go in and out whenever it wants to ; and they added a 50 utility service fee to my account after i provided them my cps information before i moved in.I provided them proof from email and no one will respond to me. I have called the corporate office and left 3 voicemail and still havent received a response and its been over 3 weeks. I wish i could get out of my lease agreement so bad!!!!!!!! Far from professional!!!!!
I am currently a tenant at this property the other day I had an my first encounter with the new management staff. This month the office decided to add an extra 50.00 to my rent and forced me to pay it for a washer and dryer rental I do not even have in my unit. The washer and dryer that I have is my own that I purchase. I spoke with the guy name Lyvon on Saturday who was very rude and not sensitive to the fact that I am a single mother and if I paid the extra 50.00 my son and I would not have groceries for the week since I budget everything I spend. I was told that the Manager would be in this morning at 9:00am so I attempted to call to see how I can get my money back I was brushed off once again by Lyvon saying that the Manager was not available. I have reached out to corporate regarding this matter. ***UPDATE*** On Monday I went into my office to speak with the Assistant Manager and the Manager regarding the 50.00 charge on my account at first it seemed like everyone in the office was a bit on edge but when the Assistant Manager, Manager and I started to talked about how I felt I was treated I did feel like I got sympathy from both which was a relief. I was able to express my concerns about the what I felt was the lack in customer service I received and they were able to explain to me the obstacles they have to deal with in taking over the property that was being ran the correct way by Roscoe Property (Previous Management Company). I was refunded back my 50.00 which is appreciated and what I was asking for and moving forward I was told by Brandie (Manager) if there is anything I need I can reach out to her and she will help me out. Being in a customer service field myself I do feel that the leasing agents would benefit from a little more customer service training and training on taking on initiative to handle and explain things as well as the managers did with me when I walked in on Monday. So I have updated my review and have given my property props for reaching out to me to fix the issue that I had with them.
If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. Ive had numerous issue since I moved in October 2018. Constant issues with leaks from the apartment upstairs. Multiple work orders submitted for the same issues, I dealt with the same reoccurring leak for over 6 months before it was resolved. During the winter storms the pipes in the apartment above me busted and while I can understand the flooding from the scenario the issue continued even after because while my apartment flooded in water and completely uninhabitable they decided to turn the water to the building back on without repairing the original issues so my apartment was flooded again by their negligence.
I literally feel like we were scammed because of how misleading this place is. The clubhouse and pictures online are gorgeous and modern- exactly what we’ve been looking for. The pricing did seem a bit too good to be true and boy were we right about that. Not only did we have to wait 25-30 minutes to get a tour, but when we finally went to see a 2 bed/2 bath, the truth was revealed. It was the worst “show room” apartment I have ever seen. There is no light/fan in any of the rooms, one of the counter tops was slanted so bad it looked like it was about to fall off, carpet was disgusting, it smelled horrible and the entire place was filthy. Absolutely no renovations or updates like they show in the pics. The restroom was the worst part. The toilet had urine/feces all over it and the bathtub was stained beyond repair. Any management company that would spend thousands fixing the clubhouse up to get peoples hopes up and any management company that would not only be okay with their apartments being this way, but be okay with their associates taking people on a tour of such a dirty apartment, is a management company I never want to deal with or pay a single penny to. Very disappointed with this property; save yourself the trip and the discomfort of walking into what has to be one of the worst health code violations.
It was a nice quiet place when i moved in. Renovations made it more appealing. Lately however it has gone down hill. Ive had my car broken into twice. I havent noticed a regular security guard on property. The police are here on average about 3 to 4x a week and have seen several arguments between tenants that often get violent. If they can restore peace in the complex this can be a great place to live. Would like to add maintenance is very prompt, friendly and professional.
I wouldn’t ever lease here again! I’ve had a ton of problems (bugs, AC not working, hot water not working up to 4 days at a time, dryer outlet wasn’t working, breaker box still trips, vent fan not working, doors don’t lock and the list goes on)since I moved in. Things never get fixed, only bandaids put on to “hold over.” The maintenance staff is a revolving door, in the year I’ve been at this apartment, I’ve literally met 6! The management company is does not know how to properly run a business. When a maintenance request is put in, no one leaves a note to explain what was done, there’s never any follow ups, and it takes months for corporate to order parts. I’ve had numerous conversations with maintenance staff and they are not happy employees, what does this tell you? I picked this place because of the gates but they never work. They say there’s 3 pools but only one is usually open and only about 75% of time during summer due to “issues.” Gym can only be accessed during office hours. Ugh, I would like to say more but I’m getting upset just thinking about all of this. Oh and not to mention, I tried getting out of my lease, they didn’t even think twice. I have a baby and I lived in these conditions for a year. Please do yourself a favor and DONT LEASE HERE! Or with any International Realty complex, which is the unprofessional management company.

Pest control is free in most places. Not here. Trash is $5 monthly in most places. Not here.This place used to be great. New management took over and just wanted to make money. Brandy informed us before we moved in, new management was taking over and changes were being made. And it has been 2 months and I have seen nothing but evidence of change. We have spoken to just about every office staff and have not had an issue with any of them or anything . Our unit was move in ready and the issues we have faced have been handled within 24 to 48 hours. I have heard the negative but it seems that new management are doing the best they can to make the changes that will benefit the property. So far so good for my family and I
Worst apartments I have ever lived in !!!! Would not recommend to ANYONE if you are looking to lease here run AWAY! First off horriable properties I think there trying to upgrade the appearance on these apartments but there still sh** . They should probley fix the gates first then be so worried about the ugly outside. I had multiple wasp nests on my patio for months was never able to go out there. When it got too windy my closet doors would open outside not to mention those are the only closets you have besides the ugly one in the apartment! Way over priced and not even no amenities there was never a gym here like they promised they use it for storage for maintenance cause there trash. Front office always has an attitude except one I believe she might be the manager shes actually really nice and does try to help but the other girls there horrible. I can not wait for my lease to be up !!! Never will I rent from these properties and I dont recommend to anyone !!! Plenty of other apartments on this side KEEP LOOKING!!!
Okay i have never written a review before and usually am very patient person but its not the case here. This is the worst management i have ever seen. I have atleast 5 broken things in my apartment to be fixed and its been 8 days nobody has come to fix it and one of those things is my dishwasher which spills water everywhere in kitchen when i use it. Previously maintenance team took 3 months to replace the florescent light fixture in my kitchen because it kept breaking up every week and i remember that maintenance guy didnt seem very happy.I called at front desk and girl at front told me team is busy with other stuff. I understand that they are busy but if you are short handed HIRE MORE STAFF. I hope someone comes and fix stuff.
This place is terrible. I have a one bedroom apartment there are no cabinets at all in the bathroom. Just a sink and a toilet. No cabinets underneath the kitchen sink either just a big empty space. This is very inconvenient and makes an already small space even smaller. Water rarely gets hot and have experienced leaks from the ceiling. Unfortunately I had to renew my lease due to lack of options but when this one is over I will without a doubt be leaving this place.
**warning*** this complex preys on low income families who may be unaware of their rights or finances.Our side of the apartment flooded a week ago after the upstairs neighbors pipe burst and these clowns still haven’t done anything. We have no fire alarms, ni lights in the restroom, closet smells horrendous which is sinking into our clothes. This same thing happened a month ago and when we found mold they told us we were liable for it and to just spray bleach on it. Had to put in multiple work orders to get them to come out for it.All they do is try to push everything on your insurance company and they take no responsibility. It’s super sketchy how they wait for something to happen and then want to completely demo and remodel on your insurances dime. While the two front office girls are really nice and polite, the “manager” (more like assistant as the complex doesn’t have a manager so major decisions can’t be made) is like the female version of Simple Jack. Completely rude and incompetent. I get it, this is cheaper housing and some of the residents may live paycheck to paycheck or may not have a higher education, but that doesn’t mean take advantage of them like this lady does.If you move here, read your lease, and know how to fight back. Learn laws that empower the resident because you’re going to need it!Update** still nothing done about previous issue despite multiple tickets. The old management company got canned an new one re-instated but everytime they do this it’s at the expense of the resident as it wipes all records. Recently got a notice that we had pets not on the lease, and when we went to see what was going on—as we had paid all our fees—they said that there weren’t any pets on our lease. Now they want to charge us more for them plus possibly backdate is. This is absurd. Just because these imbociles can’t do their job professionally means it comes at the expense of the resident? I don’t thing so. I’m not paying a single dime, and it’s a good thing I close on my home soon. To think they had the audacity to ask me to remove my review.
I give this place for two out of five. The price for what you’re getting is pretty good, I have three people living in my apartment and that’s a really good price for two bedroom two bath however the issues with this apartment comes in with the amenities and little things. Like one , our pools are never open. I don’t know if it’s because they’re trying to keep other people out but we pay rent and we can only use one pool by the office I don’t want to people in the office seeing me swim that’s weird, two we have new gates right, sounds good but it’s not , the only way you can get in is the one by the office unless you pay for a $50 remote which they don’t give you one for free and the other gates you can only leave one & th other one does open but you have to purchase the remote in order to get into the gate because they REMOVED the keypad... The gate that does have the keypad makes you call a resident to open the fence BUT they don’t ask which number is best, they just choose... i go to bed early and my phone doesn’t wake me up so my roommates who also pay rent can’t get in unless someone else is or unless someone is leaving, inconvenient. they have you come to the office & do things that are not needed like, stickers for your car even though anyone can come in & Park anywhere, we don’t have reserved parking and we don’t tow or anything so why take up my time doing irrelevant things? & when you ask them , NO ANSWER lol they don’t even know why. Most of the staff is endurable but they ( Not including the two males ) act as if you’re dumb for asking questions , like, “How do i opérate the fence” because the CODE THEY MADE US MAKE DOESNT LET YOU IN THE FENCE & they don’t explain how to use the keypad until you ask.... The washer & dryer areas break down & you don’t get a refund , also, Inwas told at move in time “If you don’t take the washers and dryers no don’t ask later” wow , ok... i couldn’t afford it then but I can now and it doesn’t matter... & I emailed about losing money to a broken down washer, but never received an email back with how to get my money back; because they don’t put signs up when the machines are down, which means no one is checking... I’m sure someone has had the issue before me. The area is pretty ok , some people say they’ve been robbed and so on but so far I’ve had no issues with those things or haven’t heard that from anyone around me & my neighbors are amazing, overall, the issues come in at working on unnecessary things & attitude. I haven’t experienced this but 3 or 4 of my neighbors told me they won’t renew their leases & not give them an explanation.... not sure why but I’ve heard this a lot this past month. One lady in particular in the office is rude, or maybe she doesn’t have good customer service but she makes you feel like you’re bothering her with anything , whether it’s a question or whatever. The lady who i believe is the manager isn’t rude but stern, which I expect but my run ins with her have not been bad, she was very nice in explaining the charges & registering my dog. The man in the office is always nice to me & smiles whenever he sees me so I do appreciate that, he’s also very helpful when i have questions.Overall, they do have rules to do what they are doing, however, maybe just come off a little friendlier since it’s an inconvenience to us . Would i renew here ? Yes, but I’d look at other places first because of the inconveniences, but even with those , they’re just really inconvenient because it’s summer, we wanna swim, we should get a curtousy remote, 1 for each apartment & if we want additional pay OR a pad should be put back on the middle gate since our complex is kind of big, I shouldn’t have to literally ride around the entire complex because I don’t want to spend $50 when there was a pad on there right before they closed it. Their fees are ridiculous, a violation for trash is $100 but the trash can is always overflowing& trash is everywhere, it smells disgusting & looks bad, expect us to keep up but not them? Sounds bad to me.
I waited to write this review after living here for 6 months. So far its been a great experience. The office staff is very communicative and always greet me with a smile when I go down. There were a few small repairs needed when I moved in but they were fixed quickly. If youre looking for a place thats fairly inexpensive compared to others in the area, I would recommend Collection.
Just found out that they are charging $5 per package that you have delivered. The gates Never work. The neighboorhood is dangereous as well. There was a drive by shooting a little over a month ago right in front of the complex. Their utilities are terrible. A/C and heaters are constantly breaking. In order to get maintenance to come out you jave to call them everyday or else they will conveniently forget about it because they have emergancies 365 days of the year. The rent is inexpensive but they are starting to nickel and dime everyone for whatever they can. Like charging $5 for each package. Save yourself a headache and live somewhere else!
DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! I use to live here before the new management took over. I enjoyed my stay & with all the renovations I thought I would go back. I read the review and figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt. The management is a joke. First off they dont know what inventory they have. We worked with Lyvon who told us it was his last day there & he was clueless about the property. Manager there was having to drive to different buildings to check to see what he had. To be honest I dont think he checked. Lyvon saw we had our money order in hand and he told us he had an apartment to show us with everything we wanted. Carpet only in room and ceiling fans (pictures on website are not how they look). When we get back to the office he said that there was a person that applied for it but wasnt responding so they would give it to us. So we put in our application and handed over our money order. We ask how long before we would hear anything and he said in a couple of hours. So me and my partner decided to wait around by the pool. After hours of waiting he said everything looked great it just needed to be signed off by the property manager that would be there tomorrow. He welcomed us to the property and congratulated us. I called the next day around noon to speak to the property manager and she was on her way back from a conference, I was told to call back in a hour or so. 3 hours later I call back and she is out to lunch. Ok so I called back around 4:45p to be told that they needed copy of my partners SS card (fair housing act prohibits taking a copy). So after we leave work we rush over there because its true what the reviews say the property manager never comes to the phone. It was only til we got there and my partner was upset because we were told they gave our apartment away, that the property manager came out of her office. We asked for our money order back & they refused because Lyvon was no longer there and we signed something stating it was non-refundable. They went back on their promises and used Lyvon not being their as their way out. As I sat there and my partner was in the office a tenant came in and was upset about a balance he already paid.The property manager was being so rude. Stay away. The reviews are right. They take advantage of people. They have multiple complaints on the BBB website. We never even moved it & it was nightmare. I also dont want a generic response from management stating to contact them to work it out because when we were face to face you did nothing but argue your point and not fix the fact that you broke many promises and took our money.2nd Response to Community Manager Brandie:Hello Brandie, this is Tomas. The issues you had with my social security # is because either you or one of your employees entered my SSN incorrectly. The day you told me my SSN belonged to a Deceased Person I asked for my application to verify my SSN, which in fact it was correct. You never rectified the error that guys made on yalls behalf by entering my SSN correctly in your system. Instead you gave me the run around, AGAIN for an error you guys made. Not only the leasing agent but also your assistant manager guaranteed us that unit. Only to be told the very next day that the apartment was given to someone else and they were moving in that day. We were also told that the leasing agent that helped us no longer worked there. Anything he told us or guaranteed us, you could not verify. So all in all No we have no desire to move back. The only reason we wanted to move back because of the management that was there before (we had no issues). We moved onto the Valencia @ 410 woth no issues at all and approved in literally 2 mins not 48 to 72hours.
Stayed here while I was in the military and left because I was relocating. I provided them with various documents and in the process of doing so they had the audacity to question my documents and tried saying I wasn’t in the military WHILE I WAS WEARING MY UNIFORM. They tried saying my documents were fake and tried making me pay for the rest of my lease there. On top of that I was in an abusive relationship with a “boy” called Mario Hernandez and I told them that I needed them to hurry up because I was concerned for my safety. They knew what was going on and after a long tedious process they finally decided to let me go. fast forward two years later they decided to call collections on me. Last time I checked if you were in the military and are relocating the apartment complex has to terminate your lease. They said they had done that but apparently not. Please do not stay here especially if you are in the military.
Such an amazing experience! As soon as you drive in it’s beautiful and well kept! The staff is the friendliest and made it super easy and fast to apply and get me into an apartment! It’s hard to find a place that makes you feel welcomed and also good presentation and they had it all! If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would!
I have been living here for 4 years, seriously since it was called Place at Overlook and that place needed a 1 star. We had our truck broken into and a trailer stolen, yes we are still here after all that but they changed management. And I have lived at many different apartments here in san antonio and out of town, honestly I love the new management that they have now. And the maintenence men are awesome and always have been. I had a busted water heater a few months back and the new maintenance manager gave me his personal number and it was totally fixed in days. Which is fast and awesome. Im a stay at home home and didnt feel uncomfortable with them inside. The ppl in office are always smiling and Bambi(the office manager) is always so helpful and caring. Our lease was up this month and we signed again!
I have never dealt with a more heartless unprofessional place in my life. The company managing this place is greedy and scum bags. Specifically the assistant manager Sky Powell. My daughter lost her job and worked with them to pay her rent last month in which she did. They are now charging her court fees and late fees that way exceed her normal rent. My daughter has zero family in the area so has no place to go. She can cover this months rent and the late fee but they will not take a partial payment for court fees or provide a receipt that they were even filed in the first place. Because she couldnt cover the so called court fee she refused my daughters rent. I was told that judges in San Antonio will evict a 20yr old that can pay the contracted rent and late fee if she doesnt pay the court fee now. No arrangement will be made and they refused her entire rent payment and said she will be in court before Christmas. The sad part is my daughter told them three weeks ago that her next paycheck wouldnt be until the 4th and asked if she could pay then. This Sky person says NO we will evict you. I have never heard of a place that would rather get zero money than actually working to retain their tenants. This is the worst place I have ever encountered EVER. STAY AWAY
I have lived here 18 months...My car has been broken into twice, my girlfriends tires were stolen in the middle of the night. My dog was stolen while I was unloading groceries.I put up reward posters and my dog was returned.The new management charged my pet deposit twice (450.00), so I was threatened with an eviction on my history if not paid.I was fined 100.00 for a grill on my deck,100.00 for some trash violation Im not even certain of why.100.00 fine for a little bowl of water on my porch for a stray cat (Im an avid animal lover, sorry), its hot in Texas. Every month the rent changes for pest control, trash fees, rental insurance......My daughter is scared to go outside after dark, and I dont blame her.....These apartments are not a safe environment for anybody, or there things....My downstairs neighbor has been robbed twice in two months time.....The new management told me since my girlfriend wasnt on the lease she isnt allowed there....Im an adult and cant have anybody over? Wow, she has her own house, only comes a few days a week......why dont they worry about all the theft, or cockroaches, or maintenance issues, all the overpiling trash in the lot? I suggest if your thinking about moving there, take your time, drive through the parking lot, and ask just one person in the parking lot that lives there what they think about Collection at Overlook Apartments....Bet they dont have anything better to say then I do.....I have found a rental house, and in the process of moving now thank GOD....
Courtney and Karen are the best I actually moved a few years ago due to a bad breakup but I loved cornerstone so much I wanted to come back they are so professional and nice they helped with everything I have NO issue with my unit I’m just really happy with the new staff
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! This place is horrible! I moved in and our stair railing was on the floor. There was also a unit that flooded above our apartment and as you can imagine the water was leaking all over into our apartment from the ceiling vents, lights etc. They took forever to come fix the unit above, and did not bother to help me clean up my flooded apartment. FEES, there are always secret fees!! They will find every way to add on a random fee. The units are old, the boiler is in your closet FYI, if you have children this is very dangerous. Our neighbors pulled out a machete and chased another person with it in front of our unit in the parking lot. NOT SAFE! You will hear cops, EMS, car crashes etc all night! I can go on and on, but the point is dont move here.
Honestly Ive been here almost a year and this had been the worst apartments I have ever lived in. The staff is Un organized and rude they dont care about your problems. My ac went out in the summer time and let the staff know they didnt fix it til almost a week later... shelving in closets are poorly made and with almost no weight just collapsed on me.. appliances are crap and way out dated n to used up. Dog crap everywhere.. and not to mention FLEAS! everywhere! I have never had a flea problem with my dogs until I came to live in this place... they say they treat the grass n plants for fleas but they really dont!... the laundry facilities are absolutely filthy!!! There are people who leave clothes in the machines for more than 2 weeks! And the floors in the laundry facility are disgusting with clothes dirt lint and trash everywhere!.. I would definitely not recommend these apartments to anyone!!
I went in for a tour today--absolutely lovely! Cynthia was friendly and warm and very helpful. The complex is very well taken care of, and the location in San Antonio is very convenient. The renovations are gorgeous! Submitted my application as quickly as I could!
Ive lived here for over 2 years and I can honestly say there is little chance Ill stay a third.The staff are apathetic to any of the problems that you report. Once the problems are reported, the work orders take forever for even the most basic problems to be resolved. Dont let the pictures fool you, the apartments were built in the 80s and havent been updated (besides for the flooring) once. The cabinets, refrigerator, stove, & dish washer are from the same era. Where this really becomes an issue is the basic things that should be updated, like the windows for example are drafty. This has been a issue with both of the apartments Ive lived in this complex. All apartments show signs of this from the looks of their windows & window seals. This really has a large effect on the electric bill which you are fully responsible for. The combination of these issues makes these apartments no place to live for long!
I moved in just a little over two weeks ago, and so far my experience has been wonderful. The management is very friendly and prompt to respond to emails, concerns, etc. The complex is quiet, yet close to all the major highways and shopping centers. This is truly a hidden gem. I feel safe here, and have had no issues. Its definitely worth the tour!
Amazing apartment complex!! Staff is amazing. Specifically Estela!! Very helpful in finding me the perfect apartment to live in. As a single mother of 2 it is difficult to find something that suites my needs but Estela was very attentive and respectful and took the time to show me around and help me in finding somewhere to put a roof over myself and my childrens heads! Anyone looking for an apartment should go here!!! Thank you everyone at Cornerstone!
I am from New Orleans, more specifically the 9th ward of New Orleans. Which is one of the worst neighborhoods in not only Louisiana but the United States as a whole. I felt safer there than here. Since I lived here in just 11 months, there has been 4 vehicles stolen including my own. Whats worse is the response. I first waited nearly an hour just to TALK to the property manager about the theft. After watching her joke about the night before and warm up and proceed to EAT HER BREAKFAST before even acknowledging me, she finally comes over to let us know that theyre no cameras on the property and theres nothing they could do. This was in September and they have done nothing to the property to ensure this not happening again...no cameras, no gates, no increase in patrol, no security, nothing. Good news is the car was found IN THE SAME COMPLEX over a month later but by that point my insurance had already paid for a new car. The gates have worked for a TOTAL of 27 days out of the 319 days I have stayed here. Neighbors from across the street at an apparently much less affluent property constantly migrating to the property to swim and/or play basketball. The property has aged 10-15 years in less than a year. Also theres these large trash containers just randomly placed taking up several parking spots. When I first moved in we were at peak capacity, now I have at least 20% less neighbors than I used to. My rent is $900 for a 2 bdr, 1 1.5 bath, which is good for the area, but its like we live in a great area, but in the worse apartment complex for miles. Theres so much more, extremely slow maintenance, only one of the 2 basketball goals are even there (I personally purchased the existing basketball goal there, in which they took $75 off my first months rent), the gym equipment is either inoperable or outdated, the dog poop is rampant, the quality of people theyve moved in recently is more/less just to fill a space, theres cars on flat tires or no tires at all, Pools are not cleaned daily, The pool house is never open, Ive seen 3 property managers, and 2 different owners in just 2 years (notice it used to be The Place at Overlook,) Police dont even patrol anymore, etc, etc, etc... This place is for people who may be coming from a bad part of town and want to live in a better place, someone starting over, or maybe someone whos just starting out; However, If you are single woman stay far away. If you ave a nice car, stay far away, if you dont like loud music, stay far away, if you want a nice looking property, stay far away...pretty much anyone that has any other options, you should choose the other option. This is the worse apartment complex Ive ever lived in, and I have only one more month left on my sentence1
This place has been the worst place Ive lived so far in San Antonio. The office staff is extremely rude and make it seem like you are bothering them each time you come in. As well as being rude, they are completely unorganized. I never once received a lease even after multiple times of asking throughout the time living there. The move in conditions that we received were carpets that wreaked of animal urine, one bedroom without any source of lighting or fan, and a shared bathroom that had black mold covering the walls and ceilings. Nothing was ever done about these issues, one temp girl in the office could only offer to replace the carpets if we signed for a longer lease. The place is crawling with screaming children and loud music that places constantly at all times. And last but certainly not least the Property Manager was inappropriate with one of his clients who lived in the apartments while being married! Well there you go, hope this saves you some time and grief!
Should you live here.... let’s take a look. Entire property management and staff take ZERO accountability for anything. While these are only 2 of many incidents I hope that you have no issues at all cause the second you do, your no longer a resident but the enemy. It’s really quite astonishing Managements lack of responsibility for anything concerns that are not their own. My AC was broken for 5 days and when I continued to follow up as to why it hadn’t been fixed the answer was that this was not an emergency but a mild discomfort for me. THIS IS TEXAS 100 degree HEAT!!! Then Water was turned off due to “pipe burst unexpectedly”, however it was noticeable to everyone living here this pipe had been noticeably leaking for over a week. However of course this was not resolved until the whole thing busted, shutting down the water for entire buildings. Staff said it will be fixed when it’s fixed and there’s nothing to do until then. When asked about preventive measures or why weren’t residents at least aware of this as I was in the middle of a shower she stated she was the only one working and would not be able to inform people all of her own and stated she also lived in the complex and would have to deal with it when she got home so that should reassure me. There seems to be a lot of terrible excuses and reasonings for issues to be not be resolved. MTG refuses to accepted any responsibility for anything. They have completely forgotten how to handle or speak with people at all. As you can also see from past responses to comments and feedback (on google), MTG will lash out and have rude and aggressive responses. No ones seems to have any other answer other than it is what it is. I fully intend to have some kind of Repercussions or indirect Aggression or “if you have any problems come address them with me” type of attitude. Which is really only to speak over you, not actually address your concern and somehow find a way to blame the resident for issues within the apartment. LONG STORY SHORT, SAVE YOURSELF TIME, MONEY, & many many HEADACHES AND DO NOT LIVE HERE. This property has a long way to go and should start by rehiring almost all office MTG except Alfred and new hire.Oh and if you are looking to speak at all with the “Community Director” aka property MTG good luck. You will get the standard she is out and when she finally is in, good luck in trying to get in any words in at all as she will attempt to betlittle, be aggressive and dismissive or any issues you may have.Please do not offer any apologies or standard responses you use on everyone as anyone who has ever met Brandi in person will understand and hear her insecurity and sarcasm, rather spend your time more wisely has in the company needs to review their employees and hiring methods.
Ive been renting for now 3 months. My one bedroom apt is pretty big and spacious for a low cost buuuut there is 2 down sides soon far. 1) I have a broken AC unit. My apt NEVER cools down and now that we are in the triple digits me and my little girl are going to sweat just being home. My apt stays feeling 86 degrees. Ive put in my request to have fixed but no fix. Ive had to invest in a couple of fans. 2) Major gnat problem which also wont get fixed. Ive asked to either fix the problem of my AC unit or let me out of my lease since Im paying for rent which comes with maintenance. Brandy the property manager is very unprofessional when speaking to paying residents. I got her on recording so I can take it higher up, saying to me NO ONE WANTS TO DEAL WITH ME CUZ I DONT KNOW HOW TO TALK TO PPL. Once I told her ok no problem I have u on recording of this conversation her WHOLE attitude changed and my AC was fixed within the week after being broken for 2 MONTHS. Im only here at these Apts cuz I have a broken lease so Im backed into a corner. Update: 1/2/2020 new management is great so far. Im giving this place 4stars instead is 2
If I could give no stars I would. This place is absolute garbage! The appliances are old and gross and super noisy. The fridge sounds like its going to break down at any time. I also have to wake up wondering if Im going to have to take a cold shower. Say they fixed it and it works for about a week or 2 and then its right back to no hot water. Its problem after problem over here. They would rather spend money fixing the office and mail room than fix the peoples apartments that pay their rent. Stay away from this place.
Can you give ZERO stars? This place has been the worst experience. I moved into an apartment with holes EVERYWHERE. Under the sink, in-between the tub and baseboard, and every border in and outside the house. Cockroaches were EVERYWHERE. In my tub, on my walls, above my bed. This place is terrible. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE IN.
There is very poor communication with management. Ive been here for several years and have only had 2 maintenance issues. First the external door to my water heater had almost completely broken down, and fell off of the hinges due to water damage (came from condensation line from upstairs floor), it took 3 weeks for someone to look at it. Currently the AC is out at my apartment, has been for 5 days, and I have to call daily to monitor for updates. They dont call, I suppose its because they dont have good news for me. It took 2 days to get a professional to evaluate the unit, and they did. Now they cant fix it because of the rain. And guess what? Its supposed to rain all week. Disappointed to say the least.
I wish I could give a lower rating, but one star is the lowest. I was a former resident and I had a bad experience. If you were convicted of a crime and are trying to turn your life around, dont come to the Collection. They will discriminate against you. You are not allowed to barbecue or to have barbecue grills. The managers raise the rent to an unreasonable price, they are very impatient in receiving rent, they call the police at the drop of a hat, they dont do repairs, I heard maintenance will steal things and the managers are incredibly rude. The police will block entrances and they will use police to intimidate you. This apartment complex is something I would not recommend to my most dreaded enemy. Find another apartment complex, avoid the collection at overlook, because they will overlook you.
The staff is friendly, very professional, and hard-working. They were able to work with my personal needs and get me moved in soon. I was pleased with my apartment. No bugs or anything major wrong with it. The community is quiet, which is also nice. Great location.
Run, Run, Run from this place....been living here since 2013 and it s been worse and worse. Today I find out they towed my RX8 sportscar.....30,000.00. The problem was that I moved 50 yards away to another unit. Stupidity, I felt my car wAs safe since it was listed on the lease.....WRONG!!!!!! They towed away my car without letting me know and now I need a little under 1000.00 to get it back. I called 50 times then finally went into the office. I was mad. They told me Too bad...and we both called the cops. They filed criminal trespassing charges against me. I can t afford to get my car back. They just stood around laughing as the cops told me to never come back. Theyre horrible, heartless and Satanic....please keep your Family away....They stole my car.....Vengeance is The Lords....
Wow. Would give no stars if possible. I have lived here, moved away, and come back. I have lived in three units here before. An efficiency, a one bedroom, and now a two bedroom. Literally the only reason is because of location and how cheap it is. About every 6 months or so it is bought and sold. Well folks, it has finally hit a point of intolerable. Wow, where to begin. First, they illegally towed my car that is clearly listed on the lease. There is no assigned parking, and the gate is broken. Instead of being apologetic they had the udacity to call the cops and file a restraining order simply because I wanted an explanation, an apology, and the $600 reimbursement for THEIR MISTAKE. So now, I am not able to ever call or go in there. But I live here... so what do they so then? Well, they start charging me $70 extra for having a renovated unit that I have been living in since August and never had to pay extra for. In fact, the whole lure of staying was the renovated unit at posted market value. So they completely changed the contract? Yup. And well, I can call or go in to dispute it. So too bad. Also, they added a $50 washer dryer rental fee, when these are very much my own machines. And as if that wasnt enough, they went back in time apparently to tack on these fees to last month too, to make it seem as if my account is delinquent. Let me tell you people, there is no way to pay only part of your rent through their resident portal. If that were true, last months rent wouldnt have been paid either. But the amount posted was the amount paid and now they are committing an act fraud. Nevermind the pest control fees that are a complete joke. Never once in all of the time these people took over have I ever witnessed even one person spraying for pests. Dog feces everywhere. But who knew that would be the least of my complaints? Now, how to fix this? No idea. Because you have a better chance of getting Jesus Christ himself on the phone than the corporate office. Give it a try before you sign that joke of a lease. Try to get through to them so you can see how impossible it really is BEFORE you actually Need to. I am getting out of here just as soon as humanly possible. Like I said, this place was kinda dumpy before but I always came back to it because of the price... but now, wow, just wow. This is THE ABSOLUTE WORST GROUP OF UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF THAT HAS EVER PLAUGED THIS COMPLEX. I truly pity anyone who falls into this trap. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
I don’t even know where to start. First of all I have never been so humiliated in my life by anyone. Especially from a manager not to mention the staff is rude (Lilly and Jordan). I came to these apartments thinking this was the place I wanted to make my home being that I’m not from the area people that were from the area recommended that I didn’t move there I went ahead and still gave it a chance but after speaking with the staff apparently I dont make enough which I do make that plus! So I asked to speak to the manager, and she just came out yelling not knowing who I was being very disrespectful in front of the staff and others that were trying to lease saying that I just didnt qualify because I didnt make enough. I have worked in customer service for 5 years and I recently got promoted to manager and I would never speak to a customer the way Brandi spoke to me she didnt even give me a chance to speak! Right away she started to judge me with out knowing me! Im so glad I wont be living in a place with such horrible staff members BE AWARE! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU!? I came from Chicago and Cynthia, the leasing consultant, was very helpful in making my move to San Antonio very smooth. She provided me with good information around the area and is overall just a nice and friendly person.
The moment I stepped on the property and just the interactions alone from the folks in the office(Brandie, Jordan, Alfred, and destiny), I knew I’d be calling this place home. By far one of the most pleasant experiences from the showing to the application process to the quick response on any issues or questions concerning the property or even the unit itself are answered in a timely manner with some of the most outstanding customer service I’ve yet to see moving here to San Antonio. Being in the hospitality business for the last decade i encounter ppl all over the world and believe me 10 minutes with these folks and you’re ready to make friends and take on a new chapter in your new home they found just for you. You can’t go wrong choosing this establishment. If I could give 10 stars i would. It’s quiet and well kept, my little dog approved the moment he saw how much space there was to explore. I haven’t had any problems with my unit both cosmetically or internally (maintenance wise) it’s been a great fit. I’m glad I found this place by accident and even more so that it was so welcoming.
We broke our lease because of these incompetent employees, although the apartment was nice everything else was garbage just like the so called director or whatever she claims to be. You think charging us 3× more than you should will validate your actions and agony you put my family thru? Cant believe you still have a job just a complete joke and I will fight your fabricated charges .
I lived for a year here the first thing is that they have the buildings with the same apartment number twice. In my case I rarely received letters, all my biles as light, the internet never arrived, I always paid for them online and if I asked for something online or the article arrived (maybe they would give it to the other apartment with the same #) . There cockroaches in his apartment. My husband was robbed of the car! And they did absolutely nothing, the case was in the police when we went to say if we could move because the one who stole the car had the viper and the apartment key told us that we had to pay almost $ 3,000 for not fulfilling the contract! and we only had 3 months to complete it. They do not care about anything just that you pay the monthly payment every month. And the pool above during the year I lived was NEVER open, they always had it with chains and padlock. FIND ANOTHER APARTMENT WHERE TO LIVE.Viví durante un año aquí lo primero es que tienen los edificios con el mismo número de apartamento dos veces. En mi caso rara vez que me llegaran cartas, todos mis biles como luz, internet nunca llegaban siempre las pague por internet y si pedía algo por internet ni me llegaba el artículo (a lo mejor se lo entregaban al otro apartamento con el mismo #). Ahí cucarachas en él apartamento. A mi esposo le robaron el carro! Y ellos no hicieron absolutamente nada, el caso estaba en la policia cuando fuimos a decir si podíamos movernos de ya que el que se robó el carro tenía el viper y la llave del apartamento nos dijeron que teníamos que pagar casi $3,000 por no cumplir contrato ! y solo nos faltaban 3 meses para completarlo. No les importa nada solo que pagues la mensualidad cada mes. Y la piscina de arriba durante el año que viví NUNCA estuvo abierta siempre la han tenido con cadenas y candado. BUSQUE OTRO APARTAMENTO EN DONDE VIVIR.
I definitely love living here,With the Management changing and getting rid of the old and unprofessional crew, I can confidently say this is a great place to live :)Especially since the property is changing! There at the office the New group is so helpful and always welcoming, they make certain my needs are always met.A huge Thank You to them!
I lived here back in 2017 when it was owned by another company gates did not work staff was decent. Towrds the end of 2017 the new company took over and the manager Brandie enforced the rules and tunred the place around. Gates worked pools clean and opened. Work orders getting done. Why i moved to be closer to work but regretted my choic . My boyfriend and roommate moved in july 2019 and its a whole new property all under the management of Brandi. The staff is on point work orders done willing to help. Brandie is extremely well balanced she makes sure all rules and policies are kept in place. Amazing place. Trust me.
Moved in recently and I love it! Jordan made sure everything was taken care of and I just sat back and ate cookies. I couldn’t be happier with her help and my apartment! Never had such a smooth experience with an apartment complex!

I personally have mixed feelings, I have moved in less then a week ago, to have my truck broken into, and attempted theft of my vehicle. With that negative being said, the postive side is that the office staff are absolutley incredible they were a major help with getting me set up here and they are, from the short time Ive been here have made things easy as well as have made renovations to the complex in order to make it a much more respectable area.
Been here for a year and a half. the gates just got fixed and Im getting ready to move. im not too sure about the front office staff; for starters only one person has been there the entire time i have lived here. there is no continuity for that fact either; in other words, you have to stay on them about unit issue or they will take forever to get done. Ive only had my A\C filter replaced once since i been here, the units are misleading, as I was an out of town move and was basically stuck with his apartment. oh well, i got over it. NO ONE acknowledges property rules and law out here so bass is bumping at 1, 2 even 3AM IN THE MORNING, tenants and non-tenants alike frequent the pool well past 10pm, even though the gates are up and running the property is not secure, there is a gate door that stays unlocked and another that has its lock removed completely. There has been at least one break-in and i believe 3 known complaints of vehicular vandalism. there is no system on parking so make sure you find a spot to park in before 9pm.Aside from all that, these apartments are basically off in the middle of nowhere in the heart of san antonio traffic hell. on one side of woodstone dr there is huebner, which is on dead in the wee hours of the morning and on the other side dezavala....yea right. the interstate IS right there, and so is HEB and Walmart, even USAA but a 2- 3 minute errand will turn ino a 15 minute drive, just to go 2 miles. oh yea, the entire time ive lived here, the wooden stairs outside my unit, have become, IMO, unsafe to walk on; bolts and nails are incorrectly held in place, wood is soft and pliable. They have got people all around here painting the gates and stairs but repairing.....yea ok.

This has been the most horrible experience. My AC has been broken second time in Five weeks. Because its Sunday I sit in the heat because no weekend staff. Look at these pictures of my place. I have video of water dripping from upstairs because my upstairs neighbor flooded toilet too.. My toilet had overflowed three tones. My shower rod just literally fell. They let me love in with mold in my unit.
UPDATE - 1. Unlike what is stated in the management reply, I was not told of a higher price-point unit as an option. I was told my unit would like like the one that was shown to me when I toured the apartment (new cabinet finishes, not damaged) after applying; no additional price was conveyed to me. Thats also a standard question I asked other properties I toured before choosing this one.Besides, future tenants arent told that their apartment will come with leftover belongings, piss on the toilet, stains in the tub, scratches on counters, holes in the walls, and food product in the sink from previous tenants.2. Make-ready work and repairs from damages of previous tenants is standard at all apartments. The state of my apartment is the way it was left from previous tenants.3. I was given a tour of a newer unit after applying. I was only shown my unit after signing papers, and that is also when I began stating my concerns about the state of the unit (as pictured). Just some advice to the management, which they should know, to make more money and not go bankrupt or be sued, etc, due to negative reviews and the condition of their units, get a handle on basic maintenance and keep up with the basic standards of all other apartments in San Antonio. People are coming from out of state and theyll shame this property even further than the current reviews because the standards are far below new developments coming into SA.Practically no make ready was done for a new resident1. Online images are completely false.2. Filth and numerous items from previous resident littered the bathroom and washer/dryer area. I had to trash a kids book, a womans boot, bobby pins, clean piss stains from toilet, and clean the tub (which still has stains - a boot stain, oddly).3. Roaches and insect eggs line the walls.4. Walls either have holes in them, odd reddish and dried dripping paint spills, or holes along the entire bottom of wall.5. The dishwasher comes out of its place in the counter as it is opened -- along with critters that live inside the counter.6. The $50 gate remote does not work.7. Make-ready team left screws, nails, and dirty boot marks all over apartment; they also left an entire cabinet off the hinge w/ screws of different and wrong sizes attempting to hold it in place. I had to fix this myself.8. The side cabinet in bathroom was installed crooked; theres no fix, other than to create a whole new straight hole in the wall to install it correctly.9. Counters have scratches where faux marble is supposed to be, and cabinets have scratches that have destroyed their outdated, 1980s yellow wood finish.Things that arent as advertised online and not conveyed to me prior to move in that online images are either false or only certain units, etc:1. I have a yellow fridge from the 1980s, along with a dishwasher and cabinets from the same era. Online the cabinets are sleek and white.2. The flooring is a sleek gray. In reality, the flooring is old, brown tape-on stuff with yellow, hole-ridden caulking lining it around the walls.I dont know if all the units are this bad, or whether I rubbed the management the wrong way and the stuck me in the most decrepit, insect-filled unit they had. In the 10yrs Ive lived in SA, Ive never seen an apartment in such bad shape upon move-in, and Ive never moved in a place where make-ready was not completed.Ive had to do my own attempted make-ready work to make the place livable, but the more I see, the more serious I notice the issues are (such as insect eggs and a dishwasher w/ an exposed gaping hole to the kitchen counter plumbing and whatnot).
The property is beautiful and the staff speciffically Karen and Lauren are amazing(Also beautiful themselves) they were very helpful and friendly they made the application process almost fun i would 100% recommend this property for anyone looking to move into a beautiful clean space theres no pests the spaces are newly renovated with beautiful stoves two pools nice gym very affordable prices couldnt ask for more.
If I could post a negative stars, I would. The ac is constantly going out, complaining since move in date. Spoke with the new manager about 3 weeks ago, ac has now gone out and they have no idea when it will be fixed. They dont care about their tenants at all, they just tell you bullshit to make you leave them alone.
I love this place it has 3 pools so my son always has something to do in this texas heat and a basketball court as well. Also the office staff have always been extremely helpful kind and sweet to me and my son. Its a great place to live and the neighbors here are so nice and kind i will definitely be here for a good long time.
‼️UPDATE: This is my FIRST review, Brandi obviously misread, I was referring to a previous review. 2nd of all, if its stated in the lease, why are the fees NEVER consistent?? Always either high or super high fees.3rd of all, the OWNER (NOT BRANDI) needs to look into finding NEW management...AGAIN! Unfortunately it feels like the residents & the staff are at war instead of working together...Lastly, please ALSO acknowledge the leaving of sensitive documents at ones door with no type of protection. They literally just have a clip, how cheap & ghetto looking....AND I WILL NOT BE REACHING OUT. There is nothing to discuss (Collection at Overlook just has more excuses). I stated my concerns now its up to Collection at Overlook & what actions if any will be taken.Where to start....1st of all Im assuming they saw the review about the disgusting buildings & sidewalks needing power washing SOOOO Collection at Overlooks solution was to PARTLY power wash the buildings & sidewalks. Yes, thats correct, PARTLY!!!They ONLY washed the sections in front of the residents doors, & ONLY the buildings on the perimeter of the property. Why? Because thats what potential residents see first but if you go in thro the gates that dont even work & walk around youll see the rest of the dirty & POS of property.BUT they DID power wash the ENTIRE sidewalk area thats by the office!! Shows how much they dont care about not even just the residents but also shows how much they lack care & maintenance on their own property. Disappointing. When my guests 1st came over, they couldnt help but notice the HALF DONE job & sharing it on social media, & I dont blame them, this is absurd.I asked the guys doing the power washing why they were only doing HALF the job & they said its because its more expensive to do all of it, so after all the hidden fees this complex has & seeing how they havent done a powerwashing properly EVER when they FINALLY do get to it, ITS HALF DONE!! Sounds like a joke as I type this but thats Collection Overlook.---I have attached pictures showing this half done job & other things on the property, they are all from this past month & have been like this for AT LEAST a year for sure because thats how long I have lived here. I WILL NOT BE RENEWING.---Oh & they leave important documents from the office, not even in an envelope outside your door for everyone to see!!
I had went in for a tour and to see the pricing of the apartments. As we got into the office they did not greet us nor make eye contact. The two ladies in there had nasty attitudes. They eventually helped us and she talked very low and remained snarky. Horrible service.
The staff are very friendly and professional. Such a beautiful community, great location. Cynthia has been helping me out when ever I have questions since I moved in. Also my mom don’t speak english but the language was not a problem because Cynthia can speak both, spanish and english 😁
My sister Latoria Jefferson had applied for these apartments last week. The assistant manager reviewed her application and said that she was approved but she an ID. Well she had her temporary drivers license from Kansas and its valid but the manager wouldnt take it wow lol. The manager said that she needed a Texas ID. They took my sisters money and denied her, this place is a scam I wouldnt recommend nobody to rent here.
Ooooh boy where to start... me and my wife move here April last year and let me tell you the apartment smelled so bad like cigarettes and weed was dirty, the shower full of mold, appliances way to old for the price they charge you !!! The atmosphere is so ghetto, all the time you see people from the other apartments entering the complex since the doors have no locks, mailboxes are completely broken my apartment was full of german roaches i swear DAILY i have to killed 2 to 4 roaches literally daily believe it or not thats on you uneven sidewalks gate majority of the time broken,even on our own laundry section got stole socks and sneakers (not management fault) but you get the point of the atmosphere, and for last (i may forgot other things) when you get to the laundry area the complex provided on the building 6 phase #1 you see at night (between 10pm or midnight) a guy either smocking weed or sleeping the guy even had the balls to tell you (hey man close the door) Really !!!!!????? It is terrible and the worst experience of my life. People if the apartment have 2.7 stars (last year having 2.1) is for a reason !!!!!! Not for a joke i would not recommended at all this place save your time and your money.. So sad...
If i could put 0 stars i would. They are scam artist. They will hit you with multiple fees that they dont tell you about, and just show up on your monthly rent. And even after looking thru my lease there is no fine print about these fees and after talking with the front office the answer I get is it has already posted to your rent so it has to be paid horrible service. Not willing to work with you on it.
It’s been around 2 years since I lived here but I had to break the lease due to roommate getting into drugs. One month left before the lease was supposed to be done but broke the lease. A few months later I get my credit report from credit karma and supposedly I have a 11 THOUSAND DOLLAR collection from the complex. I put in the dispute because that’s seems a little obscured... not sure if the old management is there anymore but I remember the name of Brandi
Im sure that is one of the bases you have to make sure you hit, to say you called, but I have never received a call or a Voicemail from your office. All the calls to your office in my phone are out going. After not hearing anything from your office I did a little research on your company, on the BBB website there are many complaints where customers of yours comment on how they are being taken advantage of and being over charged, there are even cases like mine. I am currently living at The Collection at Overlook. We live on the 1st floor, and the 2nd floor unit had a pipe burst. The flooding occurred in our Master Bedroom, bathroom, closet and part of our living room. This event happened a week ago and we are still living with the damages that have not been touched. We have spoken to the office, corporate and maintenance. I think it may be a violation of the fire marshal to have a broken smoke detector, but this is currently happening.SO to recap, if you dont mind living in a unit that youre paying full price for, but only able to use the kitchen, this may be the place for you. If you have mold allergies, you can totally live here as long as breathing is not your thing.
They send back your mail after 7 days. Who does that ? If your hard at work or on vacation they send your mail back. Woman in the front is rude as hell. On the phone for 5 mins before I was achnowledged at the door. Thats how they treat residents after 3 years. If I didnt like living here I would move. Hire good staff!!
Old appliances, old carpet, uneven drive way, gates for display, hidden charges, frequent apartment flooding and dirty surroundings. If you like all that move here!Roaches, Roaches and Roaches plus charges you wouldnt believe. Dealing with office personnel is a nightmare. I think they thrive in making peoples lives as miserable as possible.
Called in for info today on availability. I spoke to Nikki and she was very pleasant and had excellent service and answered all of my questions. Definitely looking forward at leasing here within the next few months.
I have been behind in my rent due to the fact that i had a serious stroke, plus i have cancer. I had all my things packed and ready to go. But i had a stroke again on thursday. On monday evening when i got out they had me locked out. I had no shoes to wear nor clothes. They would not ket me in. Then i callled tuesday but the manager was not there so today i went with a police officer, they said my things were in the dumpster. So i asked if i ciuld get them and the maintance guy said please do. I went and dug for 2 hours .nothing that was worth anything. No shoes, noclothes no jackets. My moms angel thats about 3 ft os not there and it goes to her grave site. Ive been writing about book about how she died for abot a yr and half all gone.but i was told they were hiding iur things. This us against the law. What horrible people they are.
They say they’ll take care of it but this is our life here. They don’t care about their tenants here whatsoever.
Maintenance is horrible and office staff does not stick to their word. We have an ongoing issue that has not been resolved in over a month. We were told it was going to be fixed the second week but nothing happened. They promised to contact us the same day to update us on the new refrigerator but havent heard anything back a week later.
I moved in about 3 months ago and I really enjoy it here, the only real complaint I have about the place is that whoever painted it did a terrible job. Other than that, its really nice, quiet, the bedroom is huge, the kitchen is bit small but for someone living alone its great.
Literally a different problem here every week. For the longest, the laundry room has only had 1 working washing machine and now, none of them work. after i have called the office several times to report this issue, they could not even give me an estimated time period on when this problem would be fixed. Will not be staying here again.
Cant have little get together for example kids bday party even though pool and BBQ areas are ALWAYS EMPTY. laundry room is always filthy. Mgmt sucks. Only 2 guest per apartment. Yes rent is cheap and this is what you get for it. This place is basically somewhere to sleep and shower!
Absolutely terrible. Their gate has been broken for some time now and my friend has gotten her car stolen TWICE within one month! They arent doing anything to push getting their gate fixed.
Nice staff and good area but the photos are extremely deceptive. The photos they show are no what the apartments look like. They are still rocking the extremely old ugly yellow appliance and repainted cabinets from the 90s.
Unfortunately 0 start is not an option. The apartment staff never help you whit anything, I leave the apartment 3 month before the lease end, I reach them 1 month before so they can help me, they only give me 2 options 1 pay the rest of the months and end the lease, option 2 is to pay a fee of 600 and one more month and because my lease have a promotion I have to pay the difference of all the months. That is not helping me at all. They just give me to option that are terrible.
*update* if you want to live in a safe neighborhood and apartment staff that actually care then save money and go else where. They changed management 3 times within being here for a year and a half, and if that doesn’t tell you anything...try living here for yourself you’ll definitely see why it’s so easy to find parking here.
I love my new home! The apartments are very quiet my neighbors are very friendly and animal friendly apartments. Anytime I put in a maintenance request they come and fix’s it right away. The staff is very nice and helpful .. 🤩
Like beyond amazing. Customer service is stupendous, just amazing people that work there with great hearts and genuine care for these apartments and the applicants. Bulit a very loving family type home
Maintenence is slow they cant fix a light that has been out since I moved in, there have been at least 3 water leaks, my account doesnt work right then I have people above where the bf is beating his gf. u can hear them fighting and her hit the floor. this is bs. Im going to break my lease
Come back to apartment after work, they leave paper on everyone door. Saying no cars parked in your parking lot tomorrow or get towed at owners expense.Why you dont give more than 12 hour notice? This not right. You have more time to give than a one day notice. Im leaving.

This complex is the Wrost ! Office staff & lady manager are So RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THERE RENTERS ! THEY CHARGE for EVERYTHING!WE HAVE LIVED HERE for 2 MONTHS and since Day 1 PROBLEMS AFTER PROBLEMS ESPECIALLY with RATS & ROACHES ! PAYING $50 EXTRA for washer & dryer but Washer makes LOUD NOISES WHEN YOU WASH CLOTHES & THEY HAVENT FIXED IT EITHER!BROKEN PROMISES MADE ! NOT SAFE TO LIVE !
Place is horrible!! We lived here for a year or so and had about 3 different managers in the office and always new people up front to help you never the same ones!! We have had problem in the apartment and it takes them forever to come and fix the problems! Drug issues over there everywhere, cops over there all the time!! Crazy people!
I actually knew the leasing agents from a previous resident that I moved from! Of all the places I looked, this property offered the best price! Its all the more great since I already personally know everyone :)
WARNING!!!! Worst management staff ever. Besides being incompetent, rude, they don’t bother listening to you. They can’t explain their fees properly and can’t control their temper. They hate their job and will take it out on you. You will regret moving here. Their “new management” is the same bad dog and pony show of bad management and service.
Been living here for a couple of months and absolutely love it. Brandie, the manager takes care of issues in a timely manner. The staff is also very friendly. Would definitely recommend this property to others.

Located in a very convenient location. No problems at all living here. Front office is very friendly, and everything has been better than expected. I would definitely recommend living here.
New management came in and lost my contract.. then added charges I paid and asked them is that everything I need to pay and they said yes and the next month I payed all of my charges online and they added more charges after I cleared it I told them ok I get payed two weeks I will pay it and the manager herself said she will work with me.. the very next day I get an eviction notice ...I moved out the beginning of January glad because laundry room always breaking and there is poop everywhere surprise maintenance doesnt clean it up..

I just moved in the place is real nice , but just a few things need work ac making crazy sounds , bedroom door needs to be painted right the office lady our really sweet .but I just want things to be fix , fix the problems before it gets wores.if things get done this place wouldnt be so bad .i understand its a big propertie but come on take care of it .two weeks in and Ive seen two people move out asked why and both said to my mom good luck 😳
I moved to San Antonio a year ago, I moved into a 1 bd here at collection overlook when I got here, I never had a problem with the apt, it was perfect if I ever needed maintenance, they were quick to come and fix anything, I recently transferred to a 2 bd and I love my new apt it’s great Brittany handled my application she is great, awesome customer service, management changed and they have done changes with the girls in the office but they are all awesome, they are all helpful (Jena,Brittany,Laura) I love it here no regrets thanks to collection overlook my experience this past yr here has been awesome.

The new managements already closed the gates and we residents have to buy a $50 remote to get inside the property from the outside. This is ridiculous, thank god Im leaving within two weeks.

I have been living here at Cornerstone for about a month and have been very pleased with the apt at first. But as the weeks go on I am noticing alot of things that need huge improvements .

I know them they lied to us and i know it bad rent they lied to us they want more money to up $350 that not correct that why wrong people ask people to working job they can know us from working it not right both re deaf know than them and i dont like it i desagree her.

After a paid all my expenses and moved out i was shocked to see a collection in my credit report even i never received any notice about that i know may be its cleaning fees but they should call me first and a send me a letter because i do have the money to pay it well after having a good credit now my credit looks horrible thats not professional at all
These apartments are terrible.. they showed me an apartment that I wasnt even getting. The apartment the woman shpwed me wasnt cleaned, and something was wrong with the AC.
