I recently moved in and love my apartment the location is fantastic.My online application and move-in process was incredibly easy, and the office team was communicative and patient, answering all my questions. Ive continued to receive excellent customer service, and Im very happy and satisfied.

I moved in a few months ago and so far I am very pleased. Location is everything! Amenities are great. The management staff is always very friendly and helpful. The application process was smooth and easy. A few minor maintenance requests that were addressed right away. I see myself living at Encore SoFlo for a long time.

Unsafe for tenants, not good for guests. Dont use their airbnb apartments. I lived here in 2020 and staff was great. Now in 2025 I took my kids to stay at the converted airbnb units and now they have staff that tries to charge for cheap hair dryers weeks and weeks later. Also, I should have remembered how much the other tenants and I did not feel safe with the airbnb guests allowed to just come into our space. No background checks, no safety.

The staff has been excellent since the first time i called looking for an apt in the downtown area. Have been speaking withGina and she has gone above and beyond to answering all my questions. I went to go look at them and Kat was amazing. Overall, they have been great and I’m moving in.

Well I will be honest we haven’t moved in yet but we get waived our application fee to give a 5 star review. We were surprised despite our credit scores not being the best that we were approved it was a bit of a higher deposit. But in our situation we are grateful for location a bit cheaper than most since you are not DIRECTLY by the riverwalk but it is LITERALLY a 3 minute walk away.My current criticism from what I experience is just no one is constantly available to answer calls and call backs are almost non existent but the worker Gena herself is very sweet, maybe understaffed or improper system to make things efficient. My only complaint is we wished to see the apartment before move in date which is the day as I am posting this. If anything changes will edit with further notice.

I would not recommend living here at all. The rent is too expensive for the negligence and lack of upkeep on the property. Firstly, I think a lot of the 5 star ratings are from having AT&T fiber being installed, the installer promised me a $100 gift card if I gave a 5 star review, never got it.In regards to negligence of the property, the trash would build up on every floor for weeks, it looked and smelled disgusting. Security was useless, my car got broken into and my AirPods were stolen. When I complained to management they told me to use FindMyPhone (???) and were very unhelpful in the situation.The door to the elevator was shattered for months. This was concerning for safety too because why was the door shattered in the first place??? Looked like someone threw a rock to try to break in. The door handle was broken for several days so anyone was able to have access inside the property.Maintenance left a key inside my door after finishing a service. They left the key in the lock while I was away at work so anyone to have access to my apartment. I went to management the next day and they did not care they just asked for the key back.Lastly, I could not get a hold of a property management to end my lease so I had to reach out to valiant (the owners of the property) to get the documentation. Super unprofessional, negligent and dirty.

Sept/Oct. 2024.Great customer service, very knowledgeable; I would ask a question, Kat would answer it and then confirm it on the computer. It was always the same answer so I wasn’t waiting around while they looked at everything and pulled numbers, availability, etc. The building is clean, including the parking garage, gym, resident lobby area. The pool area was clean and quiet. We were outside for 5-10min talking about the location, nearby parks etc. there was 1 dog barking so I got a good idea about noise levels on an average day. The elevators had handprints but otherwise were clean and functional. Kat gave us space to look around the unit without drilling information about the unit; she waited until w were done and then asked us what we thought. And then provided more info. No questions were left unanswered.

I moved in three weeks ago, so far I am very pleased with my apartment and amenities.It is right in downtown and by the river walk so a lot to do.The level of noise is 0 from where my Apt is, which is facing the inside, I only hear the ‘waterfall’ from the pool but is like an asmr sound, this was life changing because my previous Apt faced the street and couldn’t sleep well because of the sound of cars.I’m really pleased with everything so far.The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because my application process took to long and there were some issues like the price at the lease agreement was not the same as discussed (happened twice but it was respected at the end) and I was first doing a lease agreement for an apt for which I was told at the end it was no longer available after 2 weeks of process and about to sign, was handed another option of apt which I took and process took another 2 weeks.I’m not blaming the leasing office, I don’t really know who’s fault was that the process was tedious, but at the end leasing office was able to provide solutions.

At 2 pm today I finally walked up & told him it’s time to go. Handed him water in the Starbucks cup from the business center, and he left nicely. This building has no security whatsoever. How many vehicles are yet to be stollen & vandalized. How many “strays” could be lingering?

*This review is updated regularly throughout stay and reflects current confitions.*6 month update: Rating increase. Maintenance is more responsive.15 week update: so after my last update I was hopeful as the office now had a key made to my unit and I was going to be out for 2 weeks so they could have free reign to do maintenance. If this was all just a misunderstanding it could now be solved and I could upgrade their rating on this review. Well it turned out when I got back to my unit, that nothing was done and the key they had made actually still didn’t work. 15 weeks with not a single work order completed. I’ll give credit though, the pest control people came while I was there on Veterans Day after that experience last week. They let me know that after months of me putting in work orders and pest control requests, the last order they had received from the office was only 3 weeks ago.(which couldn’t be done because the office didn’t have a key after assuring me they did when I offered mine).Update after more than 3 months: the work order has apparently disappeared again, and it turned out the apartment never even had a key to my unit so past pest control and routine maintenance that they said was done, was never actually done and I was just lied to. Aside from running into a polite maintenance guy early on and getting some major things fixed on the spot, I have not had a single work order completed after months here. That is with management and corporate seeing and acknowledging this review. Dropping the review back to 1 star from 2 after I had raised it in hopes of improvement.Update after a few months: Turns out the work order I had in place for a lot of these things was closed before any of the work was actually done so I just put in another one.Update after 21 days: I contacted the email in the owner reply to this review and never got a response.Any issues below that were fixed were because i ran into the maintenance guy in the hallway and he knocked it out immediately. The staff up front would say every day “we’ll have someone out there tomorrow” and it would never happen.Review:I moved here due to the proximity to downtown and I was excited to get a 2 month rent special. Communication with leasing staff and management was pretty bad. Calls and emails took days to answer for a prospective tenant, so I figured it wouldn’t be any better once I move in. It was not.Other issues:-Key to door did not fit lock(fixed same day)-Key to mailbox key did not fit mailbox(fixed after 23 days)-Washer did not work(fixed after a week)-Doors in unit all stick closed badly(not fixed, very embarrassing to tell guests they have to fight the bathroom door open and closed)-Disposal under sink did not work(fixed after a week)-Fridge came with no water filter(fixed after a week)-Parking garage door didn’t work(fixed after 3 weeks, broken again after a couple weeks fixed)-main elevator from parking garage doesn’t work(not fixed)-Internet pre wired into closet, but no plug in closet to plug it into!?!?(not fixed, maybe just a really annoying oversight)-Toilet kinda sucks and takes 2 flushes to actually fully flush itself out which is not pleasant(apparently by design to be water efficient?)-hot water only lasts like 15 minutes(fixed after 5 months)-due to proximity to garage and trash area, the courtyard with the water feature and teardrop shaped relaxation pods just smells like garbage much of the time(haven’t noticed as much as of a few months into lease)-carpet coming up on edges in bedroom(not fixed)-microwave/stovetop light doesn’t work(fixed after 5 months)-locks on doors into the building often time broken or propped open(lack of security not fixed, management informed residents it’s being worked on)- mail room was broken into and all mailboxes were accessed.(update, packages get stolen if you don’t get them fast enough.)

I have truly enjoyed living here for the past two years. The office staff is always so kind and professional, and they greet me warmly every time I visit the office. Since the new team took over, things have improved significantly, especially in terms of communication, which was lacking with the previous team. Its been a great experience overall!

I’ve lived here for 13 months, the first few months were great but now things are going from bad to worse. The parking garage sliding door didn’t work until a few weeks ago, they finally fixed it and we had to get like 4 different fobs because they weren’t opening the garage. The trash is ridiculous and there are so many gnats in the trash room due to the excessive amount of trash and now the gnats are in the hallways and inside the apartments. The hallways smell disgusting, there is always pee or poop due to the pets in the building and no one cleans it up. THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS AND DONT PICK UP WHEN YOU CALL. Maintenance has let themselves in multiple times without letting us know leaving a mess in the shower, another time I was sick and maintenance came into my apartment and walked inside my room while I was sleeping I emailed them about this and got NO RESPONSE! (ring camera was proof) it’s funny how they will respond to reviews on here but not email back or pick up the phone. The elevators stay broken haven’t been working since new years, door handles have been broken to get into the apartment and it’s been weeks, still hasn’t been fixed. This is ridiculous, paying so much on rent and they don’t keep up with anything in this place. The pool is always dirty, the bbq areas haven’t been cleaned. They leave your packages in the mailroom unsupervised so anyone can steal your packages (already happened to me) and they just email you to go pick up your packages. Mind you there’s lockers besides our mailbox where they can be placed at.

Though we have not moved in yet, my wife and I are insanely excited to be part of the soflo flow lol. Staff was incredibly kind the amenities are to die for. Mainly I felt a sense of relief and calm when I entered that building. I saw myself sitting on the rooftop terrace enjoying some coffee as the cool weather sets in. I saw myself grilling watching my family hang out in the pool. I felt home, thank you Soflo for allowing me that comfort for however long we may be here. I’m sure it will be a long while :)

Unfortunately I have to update my review as the condions at this building have gone downhill over the last year. The ceiling in our unit has been leaking for months. Weve put in multiple tickets with no follow up. They send someone up to look and we never hear from them again. You can see signs of water damage in the hallways also.As others have stated, many doors have broken locks and the garage is always open. The building is not secure. Maintenance and care for the building is really lacking.

Lived here for a few years, still do. Amenities break often and take a long time to be repaired. Vehicles stolen and vandalized (happened to me twice in 2 years) in the parking lot, little to no security. The office staff has been cordial and the location is great. Maintenance is usually fast. We like our apartment. But the high rate of crime and inaction from management makes it hard to want to continue living here.Update: More crime. Stolen vehicles, stolen bicycles, stolen packages. You and your property are not safe if you live here.

Ive been living in my apartment for six months now, and I absolutely love it. The new staff has made a significant positive impact, making the community even better. The manager, in particular, has been fantastic, responding quickly and efficiently to any issues Ive had. Her prompt attention to my concerns has made living here a truly pleasant experience. Absolutely terrible experience. The building was dirty, everything constantly broken (door locks, garage gates, elevators, even shattered glass doors). Poetic that we showed up at 10 am to turn in our keys today and the office was empty. We waited 15 minutes. Homeless people live in the building due to no security. Unsafe and disgusting. We also had packages stolen, which management took zero responsibility for, despite the fact that their mailroom is not functional. Packages are left on top of the mailboxes instead of placed in the package lockers. Too many issues over three years to list. The apartment itself was nice, but everything outside is falling apart.

Look. When it comes to catering to their tenants, it gets no better than the 3 gentleman Ive met! Above and Beyond gives a new name to Jamal, Caleb, and Paul!!!As if taking care of minor maintenance requests within 24 hours wasnt enough, they saved our first Baby Shower and truly made it magical! The lounge/conference room was the perfect background for our Summer Baby! Paul was tremendous and poise with resolving dilemmas during the event, and did so with a welcoming smile. Jamal & Caleb shown excellent communication and were more than accommodating to the idea. Im touched; I feel like we had the best Baby Shower Ever!You see the other positive reviews, this place is the real deal! Excellent location with a more excellent staff. A true downtown experience. Encore SoFlo offers modern amenities, flexible floor plans and attractive pricing for its excellent location. No other downtown (or near downtown) property is as close to a grocery store as SoFlo. The HEB Flores market is conveniently across the street! Not only can you take care of your weekly grocery shopping, you can also make it a happy hour experience with made to order pizzas and draft beer. And also last minute trips for items you forget! The apartment staff has been incredible! They are very receptive to feedback and quick to respond. Excellent pool, bbq, and social spaces are located around the property plus an awesome rooftop deck overlooking downtown. I highly recommend this property for those making the move downtown or looking for a change up from north downtown. Access to I-35 and I-10 is one stoplight away which makes cross town commutes a breeze.

Do not rent here unless you like stained hallway carpets, non locking entrances and exits, theft of items from your vehicles, appliances that regularly go out, work orders that go unanswered for weeks, trash that piles up in trash areas, small annoying flying bugs, and overall just an un maintained building. The place is literally falling apart sometimes the only thing that gets people here is the area surrounding here is somewhat “downtown.”

I been here for 2 years and honestly everything has been getting so much better.Not only are the gates fixed!! The trash chutes are clean! Idk why everyone kept just throwing trash on top of other bags and not down the chute smh. Plus they finally through a party for us which I had a lot of fun at. I honestly didn’t know about the new staff in the office till I saw them at the event but I definitely see all the great changes happening since they arrived. Very happy!

I toured here recently and though I chose to renew where I’m currently at, I have to say the office staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming!I spoke with Paul who helped me through all of my options and was proactive in meeting my needs. While I was on tour, the manager, Amanda stepped in to introduce herself and was so sweet and bubbly! I also met Caleb who was very kind and made sure I had all the information I needed.I loved the vibe of this place, the amenities were well kept, clean and so spacious.I would absolutely lease here in the future and am definitely keeping them in mind!

I have applied to this place and supposedly have been approved but every time I call no one answers the phone I have to get in my car and drive down there to talk to anyone. Having changed my mind about what apartment I wish to rent I have sent four 4Emails asking them questions about this. I get absolutely noResponse at all. Im assuming this is how they treat their residents; ignore them, dont answer the phone and dont respond. Not a good relationship so farUPDATE: Amanda has been amazing. She has solved the problems of the communication. She has been professional and attentive. She is proving that mistakes can be overcome.I am adjusting my star review

I stopped by and they said only by appointment on Thursday at 4:30 then made an appointment and the guy seemed annoyed by my presence. Looks like a nice complex and the apartment was nice. I never got the email with the quote and the papers given had no info about the price and I forgot the price. I go online and see the so many fees to move in lol set up for Parqking towing company, why does the renter need to pay for something the complex makes money off, they dont need to set up anything. After reading all the reviews doesn’t seem worth it.

Units are nice, and maintenance is very fast when fixing things.there is no garage security, and people cars are often broken into. I had a shattered passenger window a couple weeks ago and this seems to be a very common issue for people after talking with management.Hallways/stairways/garage are pretty gross. Stains, garbage and overflowing trash rooms.Office staff is pretty aloof with current residents. I was getting double charged for trash and pest control services for the entirety of my lease despite me telling them every month.Delivery services have no access to the building, and if there is no one in the leasing office (which is often, despite their working hours), they are unable to deliver your package.Homeless people are often sleeping on benches around the building.Overall, the rent is expensive and other than the units, this place is not worth the price.

I’m not even a resident. I scheduled an appointment ahead of time as I was interested in possibly becoming a resident. Everything was going good until we showed up for the appointment. One of the things I hate about apartments is that once you sign the lease, management blows you off. Encore SoFlo, we weren’t even residents yet, and the employee completely blew us off unprofessionally when we showed up to the appointment. The staff clearly wasn’t wanting to be there andas an excuse blew us off. He made it clear that he did not want to show us around the facility nor did he want to provide us with any information. Very unprofessional.

DO NOT LIVE THERE! My car got broken into while living there, there is overflowing trash everywhere in the facility, and there is a HUGE COCKROACH INFESTATION throughout the entire building due to lack of maintenance and cleaning. Having initially enjoyed our residence, our experience over the last year has led us to reconsider our five-star rating. The managements inability to address ongoing issues like roof leaks, broken locks, and delayed security responses has significantly diminished our living experience. The presence of homeless individuals in common areas and accumulating trash are also concerning. Given these unresolved issues, we no longer feel this apartment complex merits a luxury designation and are considering relocating. Future tenants should be aware that the current state of the complex does not reflect the high standards one might expect.

Went for a tour and the guy seemed forced to have to do the tour. I had to ask all the questions for basic stuff. I was shown the model unit and that was it. He didn’t offer to show the amenities or tell me about any fees it felt like I had to force it out of him. If this is how the tour is I don’t want to imagine what it’s like living here. I strongly advise against considering this apartment complex for your next home. During my time living there, I experienced a number of significant issues that made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable. One of the most alarming issues was the frequent presence of homeless individuals in the hallways and parking garage. Despite the gated parking garage, the gate was often non-functional, leaving residents cars vulnerable to break-ins. My own car was broken into twice during my time there.The valet trash service, which is supposed to be a convenience for residents, was a complete scam. Frequently, the trash service did not show up. Additionally, the trash rooms would frequently overflow into the garage, and it would be seemingly ignored by management. This created an unsanitary and unpleasant living environment. Even if the management was doing something about any of the complex’s many issues, they were horrible at communicating with the residents, a simple email explaining what they are doing to fix the issue would have been satisfactory.Maintenance staff was also a major issue at this complex. Simple tasks like replacing air filters were not done correctly, which is unacceptable for an apartment complex charging premium rent. I also reported a serious issue with a sewage gas smell leaking into my apartment shortly after moving in. Despite multiple work orders and requests for professional help, management seemingly did not take the issue seriously. After much persistence, they finally had plumbers assess the issue, but ultimately chose not to fix the problem. This was unacceptable, and I ultimately had to break my lease due to the health risks posed by the gas leak.To make matters worse, when I moved out, I saw that the apartment complex had listed my former unit on their website as available for rent. Given that they were unable to fix the sewage gas leak during my ten months living there, I highly doubt they would be able to fix it quickly for the next tenant. This is a serious health risk that should not be taken lightly.Overall, I cannot recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a safe and healthy living environment. The issues with safety, maintenance, and management were simply too significant to overlook. I strongly advise looking elsewhere for your next home.Update (2024):The resident after me found me on Facebook and told me the issue of the sewage gas leak/ horrible smell was still occurring. Looks like they never fixed the issue just like I had assumed they would not.I also just received a utility bill for the month of May 2024…. I haven’t lived there since March 2023.

Ive been living here for 6 months, and so far Ive had a great experience. I love how central my apartment is to everything in SA. The pool and gym are both clean. It even has a pretty cool view of downtown from the rooftop deck. No issues with management, unlike my last place. Theyre always friendly and helpful. Plus, they host fun little events for residents like Mimosa Brunches or Pride Pool Parties.

I locked in a corner unit with an AMAZING view of downtown. I was spectacle about parking in a DT apartment but encore soflo comes with its own garage to park in! Makes it so much easier that they have elevators in there too so I don’t have to worry about carrying my groceries up the stairs. UPDATE: At our daughter’s request, we gave this apartment complex another try. And WOW… what a major shift. The same gentleman was there but he was very welcoming and also apologetic for not making the last appointment. The place is phenomenal. Period. The H‑E‑B market across the street! The style of the apartments and common areas. The fitness area, pool, clubhouse, everything was great. Thank you for making this experience much better than the last one.If you are interested in living here, be aware, the leasing office is HORRIBLE at customer service. Zero compassion. Completely uncaring of your time. Could not care less about any inconvenience they have put on you. Very arrogant and apparently does not know how to pick up a phone or send an email to cancel or reschedule appointments. Some people are very far from this area so it makes common sense to communicate any changes to appointments. First impressions are everything and if this man is the face of Encore Soflo, I’m not interested in living here.

I wish the maintenance and security were of high quality. Neither are acceptable. Security: gates into garage inoperable; some doors no longer securely lock; package stolen in hallway from door. Maintenance: the garage doors; inoperable elevator from garage; debris unswept in hallway from garage; key fob reader on one door not working; stained hallway carpet. The small gym is very adequate. The pool, although very shallow is pleasant enough but it’s hard to swim laps. The apartments, themselves, are nicely laid out with inner atria that provide an interior view to the outside.

Fantastic location and a great property management team. They really made everything easy during my time renting there. The only serious flaw I can point out is that building community can leave a bit to be desired; more than a few irresponsible pet owners and during summer time people can get pretty noisy at the pool. Those issues aside, I was very happy with my time at Encore SoFlor.

If you are about to move in 3065, please don’t. The upstairs neighbor has no regard to quiet environment and has been stomping since about a year ago when I moved in. My reports to the building management team have fallen on deaf ears. And my request to be moved as detailed in the contract has completely been ignored for six month. Things will not get done in this building due to the astonishing incompetence of the management team. Other common tactics utilized against tenants are negligence and gaslighting. Even though quiet enjoyment is a tenant’s right in Texas, there isn’t a tenant lawyer in San Antonio that would represent a non-commercial renter. The unkindness of the neighbors and lack of competency in management make this place a terrible place to stay, especially considering the rent. If I could rate it as a 0 star for this comment to publish, I would.

Renting an apartment while living out of state, without ever seeing the place in person, could have been a very daunting task.However, Paul made the process super simple! He helped me with keeping my furniture and packages safe, assisted with getting my utilities connected, and made himself available for all the questions and favors I asked along the way. Worst place I have ever lived they towed my registrated car without reasons and they said they are going to reimburse me which is about 200dollars and I moved out August never gave me prorated rents and never gave me back for the deposits. And when I visited office there is no management and they told me they cannot do anything and call corporate but the number that they gave was the toyota car rental company!! Ridiculous! I have first two year with good experiences ever since the management changed I have all bad experiences… don’t recommend this place be careful about these issues. I hope no body will be harmed and have problems like me ..

Eddie was nice and professional throughout the process and also all the rest of the staff.The complex is beautiful and new, the amenities are perfect!And it’s always a great bonus to be the first to live in your apartment.But it’s really annoying that they have a lot of small stuff they find to charge you like a 100 dollar fee to register your vehicle, or 30 for a piece of plastic to recognise the car. and other small fees that you expect won’t be there if you pay so much anyway every month.But that on the management and not on the staff that does a great job overall.

I was a resident from October 2021 until January 2022. I can provide evidence unlike some of these comments, they are a bit suspicious. Ill keep reposting this review if it gets deleted.Things I didnt like.1. Management does not have a lease transfer system in place. So, lets say you live in unit A, and want to move to unit B. Then you must relinquish the renewal of your lease on unit A, and apply to unit B. However, this process does not lock unit B for you, so anyone can come and take it before you. At the same time, anyone can come and take unit A. So, it is very possible to end up without a place. This happened to me, two weeks before my lease renewal. Management suggested I applied to this other unit. I ended up having to take off time from work and apartment shop. No consideration.2. The complex corridors have carpet. You will find all sorts of smells and visuals on them. Especially if you live on the first floor where there is more traffic. Get rid of the carpet, especially when people dont care to pick after their pets. I cant see how the cleaning cost justify having them.3. Dont bother cleaning when you leave, management will still charge you a full cleaning fee, they will also charge a full paint job.4. During summer time, the smell from the dog park is really foul, I almost throw up. You can smell it very strongly from the garage. Clean this area more often.5. Management is not liable if you, a resident, have your car tow on the property. Finding parking is very hard, and if you live on the first floor, you may find yourself having to park on 6 and 7. Apparently, levels 1-5 are for residents, and the rest for guests.6. Breakers trip at time if you have too many appliances running.7. The fire alarm misfired at 3 AM during a workday, and the south east section of the building was evacuated. We never got an apology or an explanation from management.8. The property is not very guest friendly. You are limited in the number of people you can host at the common areas. So forget about hosting parties, but Ive seen people do them.9. Management uses a third party service to do valet trash, and you cannot opt out of it. At times, the third party provider forgets to pick the trash at the property. Whats even the point of having them if they are not reliable. At that point, I was just taking my own trash.10. The building has Airbnbs, I personally dont have a problem with that; however, the Airbnbs guest have complete disregard for the residents and the property. Use a different platform or have a vetting system as strict as the residents that live here.Things to know, neutral.1. Many things break, the package lockers, the fobs, the garage door, the elevators. Although this is no fault of management, just be aware.2. Rent increases if you renew, but mine only increased by $20. I had a conversation with a staff one time about it, and they said that its a case by case basis how large of an increase you may get. I suppose it depends on promotions.3. Water ran around $40-$50, and electricity was between $70-$100 for two people. We ran the dishwasher every day, washed clothes once a week, made homemade food 90% of the time. I had my work computer, and tv on for most of the day. The AC was kept around 70º, and off in temperate days. Your mileage may vary.4. Insurance is not required, but I recommend it. Management has liability insurance that will cover damages outside of your control. However, I saw that a resident on the first floor had a broken window. Im not sure who was liable, so better be safe than sorry later.5. I never felt unsafe in the area.The property itself is not bad. Close proximity to the Riverwalk, Mission Trails, San Pedro Creek newest expansion, the ATT center, Southtown. If you are able, you can even get to the Pearl area without a car. The appliances are modern, great diversity of unit designs, lots of storage inside the apartment. However, as competition increases in the area, well see how it goes. There are a lot of options in the area.

It’s a really great property for the most part, it took them a whole year to fix the gate to the garage and I don’t even think it’s fixed again. I think it broke the very next day and the door on the floor that I lived in going into the building from the garage was unlocked the whole time I lived there, now we’re trying to call about the deposit and they don’t ever answer the phone or emails which is very odd considering I know they’re in the office don’t know if they have ID and they’re just ignoring or if they’re just unprofessional and or not Or returning emails so if you’re reading this please get back to The resident who was in and just moved out of 5063 thank you

If you want to live here, DO NOT live off of Flores street. The buildings make everything echo and with the commissary across the street, large trucks start coming in at out at around 5 am and its very loud. Also, since its downtown, at random hours of the night people will be yelling outside and fighting and that also echos and is super loud! Also, when people hang out on their balcony talking until 2 am, you guessed it, its super loud. Our car got towed from the garage within in 30 minutes of our moving day however, the complex did reimburse us for that so that was nice. It was still unnecessary added stress. The amenities are in covid hours so the gym doesnt even open till 10am. So for those of us that have a job, we cant workout before which is really annoying. The staff in charge of repairs is really nice and theyre pretty responsive. And the location is awesome. If I could do it again I would definitely choose an apartment on a different side of the building!

Nice, clean, and well run facility at a great location! The whole staff, Paul especially, have been superbly helpful.The HEB market across the street is very convenient. Location is close and accessible to downtown and the highway, but not loud or overly busy. Amenities are great, and the units have good finishings and appliances. Very glad we choose to live here!

I just moved in 1 week ago. My apartment smells like cigarette since day 1. I have a 6 month old baby and the management did not inform me when I move to the apartment that my apartment smells like cigarette despite of having the policy of “Strictly prohibited smoking in the apartment units”. I talk to the manager and she sent someone to clean the A/C and carpets, initially they cover the cigarette smell with a strong scent but once the scent went away the smell is still there. I have to keep my baby in her bedroom as every time I take her to the living room, she starts coughing. I bought an air purifier, activated charcoal, candles and air fresheners but the smell does not goes away, this is very unpleasant as nobody in our family smokes. Te AQI which is basically how healthy is the air in the apartment should be 0-50 , our is indicating 155. The answer from the management is “there’s nothing else I can do” or “you can move to another building as we dont have any units available” but I already invested thousand of dollars moving from South Carolina to San Antonio and already unpacked everything as I thought they will solve the issue. Im very disappointed and frustrated as ENCORE SOFLO supposed to be a luxury apartment complex AND FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY IM PAYING I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS.

New tenant here. So far my experience with encore has been pretty solid. I’m new to the SA/downtown area so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I will say that Paul Osorio, the leasing agent who helped me was definitely a difference maker. He walked me through all the details of my move and different aspects of the property. It’s made all the difference, to have all my questions answered timely and accurately. The quality ‘customer service’ was not unnoticed and it makes me look forward to the rest of my time here at encore.

I am current resident here at Encore. This has been the best place to live since Ive moved here to San Antonio with my husband. It has beautiful, well kept facilities and very pet friendly. Not only that, but its a close walk to the HEB and the Riverwalk, plus other places nearby so there is always something to do. To top it all off, the leasing and maintenance staff are always so kind and professional whenever we see them and are very quick to address any concerns that may come up. Definitely move here if you have the chance!

Loved this place!! The staff was very nice, accommodating, and understanding when my mom and I spent over 1 hour looking at the same apartment. I cant wait to live here!!!EDIT: After living here for a little over a year, we did not renew our lease. We paid $1420 for a one bedroom apartment in the middle of COVID, when most amenities were not available to us. Parking became horrible as there were no spots available, sometimes forcing us to park on the 7th floor when we lived on the 2nd. Staff and maintenance were always nice. People would steal packages from in front of doors often. It was ok living here.

A team that truly cares is what you will find here at Encore SoFlo. I could not find my key ring which held the key fob that accesses the entire building and the parking garage. Knowing that I had to make a phone call to the after hours number to get the key fob disabled, I was not sure what to expect, as my experience with an after hours situation has not been the best at other apartments (people not knowing what the policies are, not returning calls, giving the that is is your fault, you name it). I do not exaggerate saying that within one minute of having left a message, the maintenance supervisor, Jose, contacted me and stated exactly what would take place. It took no more than twenty minutes for him and the apartments general manager, Mercy, to show up with a new fob and preparation to change my locks (the key chain also held keys). For many, that may seem like staff doing their job, but for me, I was mortified that I had called someone away from their families at 9 p.m. They never once appeared to be upset or bothered. As a matter of fact, they went out of their way to search the amenities area of the entire apartment in case I overlooked something. To my humiliation, Mercy actually found my keys in a location that I completely forgot that I visited earlier that evening. I will always be thankful to them for not only making me feel at ease, but for also going above and beyond. The whole staff has always been like this, though--caring and willing. That should inform any prospective renter that the environment here at Encore is fostered by can-do attitudes and great management, transcending a fantastic living experience.

A great place to live if you want to be in Downtown! Less than a 5 minute walk to HEB and great food/bars in the area. The San Antonio river is also nearby where you can run or bike to the blue star arts complex and the missions. The apartment complex itself provides all the amenities you can ask for and more, including a gym, pool, rooftop lounge, pet park, and outdoor grills. All the staff are very friendly and are responsive to request and inquires. Even during COVID, they strive to connect to their residents and make you feel special. My girlfriend and I will definitely be renewing our lease for another year!

Initially, super excited for our new lease here. Great first impression.However, my opinion has swayed since after signing the lease. As we had a rough start to moving in at the end of February. As there was no one available in the office, so we could pick up our keys for move in day. Mind you, we already had our moving trucks waiting outside. We waited well into 45 minutes before anyone showed up at the office.Besides the “hiccup” I thought this complex would be a perfect fit to stay for the next few years, as we hate moving frequently. I was hoping this was just a rough patch and we could look forward to enjoying our new place. Especially since we love our unit.Another week after moving in, I was having trouble with my key fob and went to the front office to fix it. I was asked if I was an Airbnb guest... which was confusing, as I had just signed the lease. However, I understand it’s a large complex, but it was an off putting comment.In addition , as many people have mentioned, this property is not guest friendly. Supposedly we can start having 2 guest for amenities, if they are wearing guest wristbands. But starting May 3rd guest parking will be paid parking... so not guest friendly. Completely different policy from just a few months ago. Even at that, their system is faulty and will tow guest parked in designated guest parking, even if registered. So rack on an additional $240 if you plan on having a guest over.On top of that, several reports of car break ins, stolen cars and motorcycles in our gated garage. Most likely due to their faulty systems. As key fobs to get into the building have also gone out on several occasions, preventing residents from coming in. And allowing opportunities for criminals to come in as well, as they have to keep the garage gates open when the system is down. They haven’t offered much solution to how they will be securing the property, except to not keep valuable items locked in your car. So hopefully, I won’t walk out to a missing car one day.It’s downtown, so expect noise. We don’t mind it so much, since we anticipated it with choosing to live downtown. Unit appliances are nice, they use whirlpool. Closets are somewhat small. But they do provide several storage spaces, to make storing items work.Hallways are carpet, but they do shampoo them which is nice. Two courtyards, one with the pool. They have a fairly well equipped gym, a little smaller than other complexes.They also have a well sized rooftop hangout area. Another nice feature.Based on our experience so far, we won’t be renewing our lease here.

Lived here from 01/2020-02/2021Not even two weeks into my lease, they asked me constantly to write a review on their complex & if I had, I would’ve probably given them 5 stars. Obviously, that’s not the case now.Overall, my experience here was good except for a few things that concerned me. Right off the bat when I moved in, I noticed how rushed everything was to be built & leased off. It was a brand new building when i moved in & there was paint splatter on the floors, some cracks on the wall, scrapes on the wood floors, wood that was not properly placed or sanded down enough, doors that wouldn’t shut properly, etc. It was still a comfortable place to live so I stayed.The complex is very quiet & I had no issues with noises from my neighbors, except of course the downtown noise (trucks loading/unloading, construction everyday, etc.)I only had to bring in maintenance twice & they resolved my issues on the same day which I appreciated.All the amenities were shut down for a while during COVID, but they’re open now & it’s great.A big con is the safety of the property. You can only access the garage & entrances with a key fob, yet the garage doors would break down so often that there was bikes being stolen, cars broken into, etc. This was still a problem when I moved out. Another thing is that there are no accessible entrances for guests/deliveries, so you have to physically go to the first floor to meet them or open up the garage for them. The elevators were frequently out of service so I would have to walk up & down flights of stairs (not fun when you live on the 5th floor)Lastly, the moving out process. What a nightmare! There was so much miscommunication between the office staff. I turned in my keys to a manager on the end date of my lease thinking I was done. I got a call two days later from Jenna asking if I was coming in to turn in my keys which I already had. She gave me different information on my lease & was giving me info on things I owed. I told her the correct information and she said she’d call back the next day. Never did.About a week later, I get a final bill from Addie that was overcharging me for a day of rent when I turned in my keys in time. She said she’d go back over my information and get back to me which didn’t happen till a week later. They never answer their phones when I called so it was just a big mess & I’m glad I’m out of there!

3.5 stars is fairer.Pros:I love the apartment unit itself, pool and grills! The chairs in the pool are the most relaxing spot! Maintenance is fast to respond and EVERYONE who works here is super friendly! In fact, they justify the cost of the unit! Valet trash is ALWAYS picked up (Of course, you pay for it, but we love that). The rooftop is great for hanging out with friends at a time when you dont want anyone within 6 ft of you!Cons:However, the hand sanitizer is ALWAYS out, The grill upstairs is often out of gas, the construction starts at 4am and it is pretty loud (Im a heavy sleeper so not a huge issue, but bulldozers have woken me up). We were told the construction would be over in April and its now November. The biggest Question mark is that the parking lot is constantly getting robbed. A car has gone missing, several cars broken into, a motorcycle has been stolen as well as several bicycles. I wish that they offered bike storage like another very similar complex around here. Such a cute idea! Lastly, they tow EVERYONES car, so just add $350 to your budget when you move in. You will use it for yourself, a family member or a friend. They towed my car even though I live here and have a valid pass bc I forgot to change the license plate. I had JUST lost someone to Covid & drove her car down here. But unlike ALL other complexes they do not call to make sure it isnt you, your rental car or a guest/disabled individual, so thats weirdEdit: Construction is done! No longer noisy! Also, No parking included for guests as of May 3rd. Also, the pest problem on the rooftop and near the pool is getting out of control. I spoke to a horticulturist here in SA and she said that it sounds like they have a predatory form of Aphids or No-see-thems. They are the SMALLEST skin-toned biting insects. So strange. I have never seen anything like them, but they really kill the vibe. All of my guests now mention the bugs. Mosquitos JUST happen, especially so close to the riverwalk, but she mentioned that these can easily be controlled with insecticides, so I dont know what the deal is

Very happy to be living here in downtown/southtown! First, Clarissa, and all the girls in the office are extremely helpful and nice. The boutique HEB is literally across the street, I can walk my dog at the river walk which is only a five minute walk away, and walk to SouthTown restaurants only ten minutes away! The gym has everything you need, and everything is brand new. Very happy to be living at Encore!

Clarrissa explains it all! I had been looking to move back to the Pearl/River North area after a one year stint at Rivera on Broadway and then a very unfortunate 1 year stay in Castle Hills. I decided to check out this downtown (but really, Southtown) location on a whim. After touring 3 different “luxury” apartments, this one won me over immediately. Clarrissa patiently showed me 4 different layouts, and I kept falling in love with each one, more and more. I hadn’t checked out the amenities and simply based on the apartment units I viewed, I had already made a decision in my head that THIS would be my new home. It’s simply fantastic. Then I saw the amenities. The gym is HUGE and has everything you would find at any nice local gym. The pool is so beautiful and LARGE. I decided on a courtyard/pool view, top 5th floor - from there I am able to see the top of the Hemisfair tower and the Tower Life Building. (Very excited to see the NYE fireworks from my balcony!) The layouts just make sense and there are many different ones to choose from. This is a brand new complex and some of the wings are still under construction but it is a very large complex - so you wouldn’t even know that. They have a secured 5-6 story parking garage that leads to every unit level. The South Flores boutique HEB with a gas station is one block away. Sure, I may have to take a trip or two to a larger HEB or Central Market on occasion, but the ease of an HEB (within walking distance) and with the basics, gas pumps, and some high end items is a huge plus! Let’s not forget to mention that you’re in the north end of Southtown. Finally, given the location and current lease specials, this play is a STEAL compared to some other places directly on the river walk. But you get what you pay for and I feel totally okay spending my money on a fantastic and unbeatable living environment. Safe, quiet, new, beautiful. You can’t beat it. I mentioned Clarrissa earlier who stayed after hours to help me find the perfect unit. She never once seemed rushed and never made me feel hurried. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. You’d be missing out to not check this place out. So very much looking forward to making this place my new home!

My friend recently move in here and every time I parked here he would check me in. The most recent time I stopped by he had forgotten and in the span of an hour they had my car towed and in doing so the tow company damaged the heat shield on my exhaust. It cost me $225 to get my car out of the tow yard. My car was only there for an hour and was parked on the 5th floor in the designated guest parking area which was mostly empty. When he emailed them about the situation they ignored him just saying that now theyll be charging guests $5 dollars to park now which is unheard of. If this is how this facility treats their guests, I dont even wanna know whatever greedy and abhorrent tactics they might use against their residents. STAY AWAY.

After the new property management took over, we were not properly informed about parking issues in our garage. As residents, we are at risk of being towed and incurring associated fees and inconveniences because they refuse to accept responsibility.Since December 17th, 2021, when Valiant took over Encore SoFlo, the new property management has not been using the hang tags as proof of valid parking for EncoreSoFlo residents. We were not told about the tags on our cars, so many of us still have them on them. As a result of being towed, I found out that my tag was no longer valid.They have sent out emails reminding us to check the Parqking system that our vehicle is registered, but they have not communicated that the tags have not been valid since December 17th 2021 and that, if your Parqking information is not correct, you will be towed if you just rely on your previous tag registration from before Valient took over.Their system erased or did not transfer my information. My tag was properly registered as evidenced by a paper trail presented to them. They dont accept any responsibility. Make sure your windscreen has a tag, and if it does, make sure your Parqking registration is intact and correct. If you are unaware of this miscommunication with EncoreSoflos former residents, you will suffer much discomfort, as I did.

Poor security and limited, if any, accesses for emergency personnel for apartment entry. The management team has refused to provide security despite multiple thefts of resident property, ie bikes, cars, motorcycles. All stolen from “secure” parking garage. If we call EMS they would not be able to enter. We have called police twice and they couldn’t get in unless we went to meet them at the door. The fire dept has been seen waiting for someone to let them in and we have witnessed another police call waiting in front for someone to let them in. After numerous complaints they have made minimal changes. Random people have knocked on my door in the middle of the night who are not residents looking for their resident friends. A bike and motorcycle of mine have been stolen after only months of residency. Our neighbors have had both their bikes stolen and car which were locked. Please look up police reports before signing your lease. Amenities are useless as they are only available during the hottest times of the day which are the hours of the lease agents. They refuse to adjust their schedules or hire staff to accommodate the residents. We are trying our best to get out of this lease. FIND ANOTHER APT COMPLEX!

I am current tenant at this apartment complex. The customer service is very poor and the staff is rude and condescending. Once you have signed a lease here, do not expect to be treated well. The luxury amenities are also subpar. This is an overpriced apartment complex that I will look forward to leaving at my first opportunity.

BEWARE BEFORE LEASING! There are several airbnb units throughout the complex. Just take a stroll around the outside perimeter and you will notice all the lock boxes for keys outside the patio units. Also just look up on airbnb itself as the property has multiple active listings. In my experience true luxury apartment/condo properties usually ban airbnb so major red flag. Just look across the street at heritage plaza apartments.....In the end living here will be you having to compete with tourists and guests when wanting to use the pool or gym pretty much all the time, with it being worst on the weekends or holidays. If you are concerned about covid keep this in mind as there are guests coming and going frequently using the amenities. Is that what you want your community to be? This has ruined my experience living here and would not recommend it for anyone. I will def recommend people to stay as guests in an airbnb tho!!

We lived near this complex and often passed by when we went to HEB. When the lease contract in our current place ended, we decided to go in and look at the options. We then liked the price/quality ratio and decided to sign a contract. Unfortunately, we were not qualified for their special, but the staff kindly provided special partially. Super safe accessible place, the new administration has done many positive things, fixing the parking lot doors and maintenance work if there is a response, they also have the initiative to hold events for the tenants, they also enabled the gym bathrooms, the cleaning is punctual in the areas do a good job, there are always some aspects to improve such as the garbage in the warehouses and not removing the sweets from the reception, keeping the coffee machine good. And ensuring better order in access to the pool is everything.

The apartments are very nice, they are in a good area, very central. The new manager is really making changes to the property and many of the issues mentioned have already been resolved.
