I dont even know where to start with this complex. First off, my car was stolen from here.....twice, after the 2nd time I was told they would set up a meeting with the property manager. That never happened, not one person got back to me, and the other times I mentioned it while filling out my moving out paperwork they sounded like they didnt care one bit. They always sound like they dont care at all when you call with concerns. Its always just a sucks to be you attitude. One weekend I came home from work and noticed a big pile of glass where my neighbors park and their car was stolen, along with like 3 other piles of glass that same night when I went to my mailbox. This place is heavily targeted it seems so if you choose to live here make sure you have EXTRA security for your car. As a fun little send off gift someone gave me a nice windshield crack a week before I moved.The buildings and everything inside it are old..... very very old and dated. There are MAJOR foundation issues, one of the beams that connects to the floor part of my outside porch was completely disconnected (pictures included) The outdoor storage area was completely falling apart, including the door which instead of replacing you can tell they poorly tried to nail it back together (pictures included) The front door never shut correctly, at one point of moving out while in the office I heard a maintenance man telling this to the manager about someone elses door and she just casually was like yeah its the foundation. On very windy days I could feel the whole building shake, I lived in Florida for years and went thru quite a few hurricanes and never felt the building shake like these. I wouldnt be surprised to hear that those places start falling apart soon. There was constant water issues causing the water to be shut off so many times I lost count. Many times without notice, I had to call out of work quite a bit due to not being able to shower. The apartment below me was the one with the major issues and at one point they used chemicals that were so strong my entire apartment smelled horrible, these are chemicals that no one should be breathing in for long periods of time. When I called to voice my concern because I have asthma, the office once again didnt have a care in the world, told me to open my doors and windows that I would be fine. Nevermind that it was the middle of winter and cold outside. It took MONTHS for them to fix whatever was happening down there and theres still a big hole in the wall outside(picture included)Roaches...... lots of roaches, no matter how much I cleaned and how much bug spray I used I would always find roaches in the pantry, probably because the floor was all torn up right where the water heater is (also why is the water heater in the food pantry, I dont think thats a great place for it at all)People never pick up after their dogs.... EVER... its gross, and the people that work on the lawn will just work around the piles.Im sure theres more I could write but you get the hint, these places are cheap for a reason. Nothing is updated they just keep adding layers of paint to the old cabinets and drawers that are completely crooked (pictures included, excuse the mess I was packing) And again the office workers always have that attitude of not giving one care in the world as long as they are getting the rent money.

I live above a tenant that is growing marijuana in his apartment. I have called the police, office and property manager requesting to be moved or released from my contract. The police told me this is between me and the property manager. No one will respond to me. Aside from this issue, I have had nothing but roaches and maintenance problems. Despite how often I have them spray and treat, the bugs don’t go away. And the wor orders to request fixing items, they close without repairing. I would not recommend. I hope to get out of these apartments asap.

This is an Urgent appeal to look in a different direction for a place to reside. Regrettably, I have been a resident at this complex for the past three months, and my living experience here has since been an ongoing horror. The roaches are Real and will co habitat with you. And because of which, I had the S.A Public Health Department visit my apartment. Dripping faucets and black mold health risks will continue to be an ongoing health threat. The management is absolutely Useless and do not care about their residents in any capacity, so your voice will never be heard. They are Unprofessional, Rude, and beyond Disrespectful. So do not think that your plea for help will make a difference. All they are concerned about is getting your money to facilitate their needs, and not yours. So please take heed to the reviews, and do not become a victim of living under poor, unhealthy and stressful conditions. I didnt pay attention to the reviews, and as a consequence, I am now living in a Rot.I would post a minus zero star if I could.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I lived here from 10/21-10/23 and I regret it. Roach infested, maintenance took FOREVER to come and fix anything broken. A/C was leaking and cause cracks in the ceiling of my kids’ closet, claimed that it wasn’t mold growing in there. A/C continued to leak because no one would come fix it and ceiling in dining room/living room was cracking and just dripping water into carpet. Now I’m being charged $2000 in collections for these “damages” and also for moving out before giving a 2 months notice. Mailboxes were never fixed after being broken into so I would have to go out of my way to go to the post office. Ridiculous and complete BS.

This complex has been aware of an animal abuse situation that has police reports attached to it, and the complex refuses to hold the owner accountable. The dog is kept on a freezing cold cement patio with a short leash and a muzzle. Police had the dog brought in and shortly after, he was back out there.

THE LOW-ISH RENT IS NOT WORTH ITNo one here cares about you. Maitanance is nice enough but theyre slow pretty often. No one in the office cares If your AC doesnt work. No one in the office cares if your car gets broken into. They only recently got the gate to work for longer than a week. But it had been broken for years before that. This complex has been made aware of a blatant animal abuse case of a little dog that’s kept chained, muzzled, without water and food on a porch. Police reports have been made and they won’t do anything and neither will the complex to the owner (a male who drives a white dodge challenger). Gross mismanagement and lack of ethical concerns. Don’t live here

Would give 0 stars if I could.I just want to say that this complex has zero respect for their tenants, the person in “charge” is always in a bad mood, she and her secretaries have a “I don’t care” attitude. I put several maintenance work orders in the 1 year I lived there, you have to call them DAILY to keep track of the work orders, they do not give updates or keep track of anything.Also, we had an extremely unpleasant experience as a military family (my husband is the service member). Anyone knows that the military does not provide orders to PCS in a timely manner to do anything with enough time to plan appropriately. My husband didn’t received orders to PCS until 2 weeks before moving, we handed these orders the same day he received them, so we could break the lease. The manager kept our whole monthly payment even though we only stayed there until the 5th of the month, claiming that we didn’t give them a whole month notice. HOW CAN WE GIVE A WHOLE MONTH NOTICE IF THEY WONT BREAK OUR LEASE WITHOUT ORDERS?!?! (And they wouldn’t accept a notice without orders).Very unpleasant experience, the only good thing was that our cars didn’t got damaged or stolen, and our apartment didn’t have bug infestation like others. The bar is so low that basic amenities are a plus.I forgot to mentioned that the maintenance guys barged into our apartment without notice and without a work order, IN MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. Very unsafe and unprofessional, I did complained to the leasing office and they basically laughed at my face for asking them not to let themselves inside my apartment. If you plan to live here, get a ring camera and inside cameras, these people can’t be trusted.

They are mean for no reason. Melany in the office has a bad attitude and she has been so awful to me that I felt it necessary to write this review. For the past year we’ve been living in the most roach infested apartment I’ve ever been (& I’ve been in property management for 10 years). The mailboxes have been broken for a year and the post office is now returning mail to sender but the community refuses to fix them even though this is against federal law and it’s breaking the lease contract. Which they refuse to release to me (I’m not on the lease but my boyfriend is and has requested they release it and offered to email in writing permission but they still refuse). The appliances are always breaking and we went without heat for two months this winter because they didn’t send anyone to fix it. They closed their office at random one Saturday, which was the last day to pay rent and didn’t send communication to residents but put a sign on the door. We took a picture of it and the dates money order but we’re still charged $180.00 in late fees and they refused to help even though we never pay rent late. She said she didn’t have the authority to do anything about it. Honestly this is probably the worst community experience I’ve had personally and professionally. It is impossible to reach the management company or owners which leaves you to deal with the unfriendly office staff. They are the type of leasing. Professionals that cause violence in the industry because of the way they actually make your day worse for no reason it’s insane. This could be a beautiful place to live but it appears they are probably under budget and staff is too spiteful to do anything positive for the residents. They should be ashamed of the way they treat people. I highly recommend you avoid this place at all cost.

The community is beautiful and quiet. The pools are nice and blue. I recently met with Christina who was very professional and answered all my questions. I had a great experience. Definitely at the top of my list when considering new home!. If youre in the market for an apartment; make this community your first stop.

Can someone else on this review confirm if this office steals peoples packages? I been noticing a lot of missing mail lately. The office says they do not accept packages, however the delivery mail man says he handed it to them. Someone is lying, my advice to anyone is dont move here, cause these people are shady, eitherway, if the mailman messed up he isnt admitting it. This area of town doesnt have trust worthy people. A lot of the mail boxes are broken, please keep an eye out. There was a note by postal services left by the mailbox stating We will be returning mail back to the postal office until the landlord fixes all these mailboxes, so they arent working with each other, and the residents have to suffer. Also hugeeeeee bug problem, and the Pest Control guy hardly comes out when they say he will. No one ever knocks on the door to come by. Someone is usually home too. No matter what we do to clean, the bug issue doesnt seem to go away. The rent here is too high for what you get.UPDATE: The bug problem is getting out of hand.. roaches everywhereee. we tried everything to get rid of them!! At this point its the apartment that needs to be reconstructed. The pest is endless and keeps coming back. We see SEVERAL DAILY.GUYS PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HEREEEEETHE OFFICE PPL ARE INCOMPETENTNO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY’RE DOING. ROACHES ARE EVERYWHERE. I would give zero stars if possible. In 4 mo the of living here I have had my lock drilled out and replaced without being notified and then the office left with no way of getting me a key after getting home from work to find out I was locked out. Then the gate was fixed after four years and no gate code provided to anyone that lives in the complex, so second time I was denied access to the apartment I pay for. They turn off utilities without notice and sometime forget to turn them back on till the next day. But the greatest problem is that the mailboxes are broken into daily and they refuse to do anything about it telling people to call the police for it. They are cheap apartments, but at what cost. They care nothing about the people that live there and only want money and will be the only thing they chase. Also you cant leave anything, even coins, in your car without it being broken into and again they say just call the police. I will be gone as soon as I can afford it.

Would give this apartment complex zero stars if I could. Lived here for 4 years and moved out 2 months before my lease which ended March 31st 2023. as I took another job which is with the federal government. it required me to move out of state. I was forced to still pay the ridiculous rent amount for the 2 months I was not present, plus electric. Maintenance is terrible they never get things done within a reasonable amount of time. staff all together at this apartment is unprofessional.Would NOT recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a place to live. Glad to be out of this disgusting place. They charge what some might call luxury apartment prices of 900 plus. And this place is only worth like 150 or less as they do not properly maintain the property.

I would give this apartment complex a zero star rating ! The roach infestation is horrendous and nothing is ever done to fix the problem. Apartments are so outdated and when I moved in my stove was electrical tapped together took 6 months for them to replace it had to call office and cause a fuss multiple times. My ac went out and I had small children in the apartment . They never once brought me the window unit( which they told me ever hour I called that maintenance would be there shortly with it ). Then the gave me a 2nd notice about the ac unit that I had 24hrs to take it down or eviction process would start. I never even got a first notice. Called office states I would not be taking it out until my ac was fixed. It was still not fixed when I moved out on the 18th of Aug. office people are extremely rude and hard to talk to let alone get ahold of . Would never recommend anyone getting an apartment here even if the price is right . The units are so out of date and they reused to update anything. The bathroom ceiling gets moldy in the blink of an eyes. Maintenance changes every other week and are super lazy when it comes to fixing issues in the unit . The staff also does not take care of the pool in the back part regularly. It wasn’t available until the middle of summer.

DO NOT APPLY AT THESE APARTMENT!!! maintenance is horrible. they can never seem to fix anything correctly the first time. been here a year and a half and ac/heater does not work right. they fix the heater then the a/c does not work, then they fix the A/C and the heater dont work. but they are quick to send rude notices to your door. and they are always switching employees. never the same one, ever!!! and the new ones they do hire are freaking rude and dont seem to care about the tenants. AND i am a good tenant! always on time with the rent never once late!!!!!

Maintenance never fixes anything right. The office staff laugh at you behind your back. They make you sign an addendum for the water so you have to split the water bill with your entire building. People break into mailboxes. Porch pirates are constant. Staff acts like they have no control. Roaches and gnats are everywhere. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!

This place discriminates against families and stay at home mothers.Granted I did not read the fine print, i gave them 100$ for a application fee intending to get a nice apartment for my family. We have great credits, no criminal history, and are good people. The only downfall- they wanted my girlfriend of 8 years whom I already consider my wife- to legally be married or have a job. It didn’t matter that I make 4x the rent, have amazing rental history, a great credit, no criminal background etc.They told my wife- be married or be a working woman since you’re over 18, if you’re not either of those, you can’t live here. Not even a exaggeration or lie, those are the rules.Like i mentioned I did not read the fine print and i did want to blame them at first, but they disclosed that they write it within the fine print. Losing my money was on me, but supporting a apartment that discriminates against hard working families and women is even worse.

I moved in about 3 months ago. Ive had nothing but positive experiences with staff, and positively LOVE my apartment. Its quiet here, I occasionally hear a neighbor, but such is the case in ANY apartment. Theres plentiful parking, theyve renovated most of the buildings, a few are still being worked on. Upkeep seems good. Ive made maintenance requests, and all were repaired very quickly, and Chris even called to confirm that the repairs were completed and to my liking. Im truly impressed! Yes SOME of the renters are VERY lazy in regards to picking up after their pets, but the lawns and whatnot are well maintained otherwise. I have NOT noticed any bugs. I have seen notices that there is a pest control company that treats in and around the buildings. So far, I love living here, and I am truly impressed with the staff and maintenance crew.

Iron horse was me and my spouses first apartments, the apartments are outdated but you can tell they are working on renovating them. the prices are good i had a 647 sq ft apartment and was paying about $600 which to me wasnt bad especially being young and with an apartment. maintenance was really good even if we would put the priority as low on the website they were always out the next day or following day. Chris the property manager was always admin about contacting us when the job was done or even if it was gong to be ongoing. the pools are nice and open usually all year round. the community was quiet and welcoming. pest control was out every Tuesday and you have to request then to come to your apartment but we never saw roaches or ants. definitely wouldnt mind moving back. had a great experience. hope this review helps!

Too many issues to write about, so I will only speak on the major ones. Currently have black mold in my bathroom and ventilation, found by maintenance this week after my bathroom tile wall fell in for the second time in 2 years. I have not heard anything from the office since the discovery even after several calls and emails. We also have a foundation issue which is causing our front door to warp, not shut or lock, cracking the walls on the outside of my sons room, and all throughout the living room. Previous issues with our ac took over 2 months to finally fix (replaced unit) after 4 additional months of getting the run around regarding the same issue. All the while constantly emailing and calling the office and property manager, as well as the management company Equimax with zero response from either, still to this day. I have finally broken down and reached out to code compliance,the health department, city of San Antonio, as well as written a letter to city council. Im hoping my story can save Many of you the grief. Please dont apply to live here, you really pay for the quality and these careless managers, and owners will take your money happily and continue on with their day without giving you so much as a thought or care no matter how bad your living situation in their complex is.

I lived here in December 2020 to November 2021. When I first got there had to remind bookkeeping that I had moved in on a special rate as they did not keep track of. Constantly had others residents giving out my personal information due to the relationship with management. Cristina, who allegedly works there knew all about these things and instead proposed that I not renew my lease as I was a hazard to other residents. Also still have not been refunded my security deposit since I left. Make your own decision with that. As of July 7 2022 they claimed they have given me my Sercurity deposit but have not. Yes I am going to leave an ugly review. Also the new Worker women Melony and Joce are so horrible liars. What is up with your hide hid games???

When we moved in three years ago everything was great. Then pandemic hit and it went to hell. Took almost 4 mos to get my A/C fixed. We cant get rid of the roaches. You call the office and they are always closed, and when you do get someone they are rude and dont seem to care. I love the actual apt but Im seriously thinking of moving when my lease is up.

My gma moved in over weekend with no problems apt is nice normal little problems u would expect living in apts. Ladies in office gave us no problem with her application process always called and communicated with us. So far everything has been good.

Unprofessional, we applied to this place for a 2 bed & 2 bath and told us we got approved and we are good to move in 6/24/2022. Then they give us a call Monday 6/13/2022 that they declined our application without telling us why? and not mentioning hey we will also refund your money which is the deposit fee. We paid for the application fee, deposit fee, and was a little over $300. We are a family of 3, and expecting baby #4. WHAT THEY DID WAS UNFAIR, UNPROFESSIONAL, SELFISH, AND UGLY. You dont tell a family you get approved then a few days later get declined!!!!! DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCAMMED, AND ROBBED. We been calling the front office to speak the manager and she is unprofessional, and ugly for getting a family high hopes and dropping the bomb about being declined to move in. Even when they answer they always mention manager is in a meeting when they said that a week ago. how many meetings do you need? are you avoiding a customer concerns? UNPROFESSIONAL.

These apartments are terrible. Ive had an issue with my guest bathtub for over a month that hasnt been fixed. The maintenance mgr keeps saying they have a lot of people ahead of me. Yet they want their rent money. Im days away from calling the news station to report them. Staff is lazy and careless. I wouldnt advise anyone to move out here. These apartments SUCK and the staff sucks too. I cant wait to move out of these sorry a** apartments

I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. For the past 4 months Ive been dealing with my neighbors above me smoking weed and everyday when I get home my apartment smells horrible. I spoke with the assistant manager more than once and he always says he will speak to his boss and I never hear back from him. When I respoke to him about the issue he said his hands were tied with the issue. When its time to renew my lease he said I can renew, but cant move units because i was late 2 times on my rent(if thats an issue why are they letting me renew). So sad how the management here only cares about money and not worried about the residents concerns. Now I have to move my family out due to the smell being unbearable and my lease isnt even up yet. But still have to pay the rent so I wont lose my deposit.

They lost the paperwork and deposit on my 2nd pet twice. After two years they still haven’t fixed the dishwasher issues I’ve had. I had to fix my own garbage disposal because they never got to it. Chris the manager never assessed the real issues like vandalism, constant fighting from neighbors down stairs, drug deals occurring out in the open, gate never actually working, etc. Chris never follows up on calls. Oh and don’t let me get started on the issues with water and plumbing. Water constantly comes out foggy and dirty. If your air conditioner goes out all they do is fix the filter and nothing more.

UPDATE 01/25/2022: After receiving an overdue call, my daughter was asked to meet with property manager, Kelly, on January 17. She apologized for the inconveniences experienced and even offered to make it right should she decide to stay the term of the lease. My daughter has tried numerous times, yet again, to reach Kelly by email for follow-up which is the way she suggested contacting her (because she always has access). No response! She has tried to reach her by phone. No response and no one in the office knows how to reach Kelly. At this point, there are issues that still need attention and Kelly, Iron Horse and Equimax Property Management has left a new tenant without a resolution. They have blocked her review and will likely block mine. The mishandling of customer service issues and subpar management throughout is unbelievable. Someone needs to be responsible for this property and for providing resolutions. Trying to contact Equimax produces the same results---NONE! Their published phone number does not even connect anywhere. These people are flat out crooks! Shame on you for not seeing this through, Kelly.One month to the day after my daughter moved in and shes put in 3 requests for the same kitchen plumbing leak. The maintenance team quick fixed the first two masking the problem. She submitted the 3rd request on Dec. 30 and as of the evening of Jan. 5, she still has no way of turning on the kitchen sink without the dishwasher flooding & overflowing onto the floor. Needless to say, the particle board the cabinet is made of us warped falling apart, and likely mold under the cabinet. The manager is out and apparently is the only one with access to the work order system so no one knew about the problem until today when she walked in to get an update after no response to her last request & email. Since she cant use the sink, she cant wash dishes if she cooks which means shes not cooking the food in her fridge which is now going bad. This apartment was obviously not ready for rental. Someone has to address this problem and make it right. Side note: Hana, the leasing representative at the office, is extremely kind and was as helpful as she could be but she is not kept in the loop of work order status updates. She should be since shes the only one available for tenants. We appreciate whatever assistance she was able to provide.Who owns this property? Id love to get this information but prefer to have this ongoing problem resolved so that my daughter can have a fully functioning kitchen. Extremely disappointed in the lack of responsibility and disregard in renting out a unit that was not at all ready for a tenant. Photo #3: water spills into the pantry. Do Not move in here. The appartment admin is atrocious. Weve lived here a year and seen five different leasing agents come in, work like a month then leave because they cant deal with the admin.Maintenance is terrible. I ended up fixing our faucet problems myself so we could have running water after a three week wait.The way they handle money and rent is unnacceptable. Multiple times Ive gone to the leasing office to pay rent and theyd simply left for the day. Then I get a late fee because they decided to ignore the posted hours.Crime is horrible here. Less than two months living here the neighbor below us had her door kicked in and and was robbed. You can literally hear gunfire every night.If I could give less than one star I would.

I went to check out the apartment and needed to use the restroom. I was told that there was no restroom and I needed to go to the nearest QT/ cornerstore. I took off and left my husband and daughter. While he was waiting to be helped, another patron asked to use a restroom and low and behold he was able to?? What?! So he was able to use the restroom and I had to drive to the nearest corner store. What excellent customer service! I wonder how they treat their residents?

I paid my application fee and my deposit fee for a one bedroom apartment. And they just cut all communications off with me. Nobody is answering the phone anymore and not answering my email. Like how you stole my money and think it cool. Me and my lawyer will be there Monday morning to get my money back

If you like to deal with incompetence, Iron Horse Apartment in San Antonio is your place to live. The staff of Iron Horse Apartments will lose track of your monthly payments and will try to evict you from your home, which will have you spending time to go back and show them the cancelled checks. They will lose your 2 month notice that you are leaving the apartment, will state that you are all paid up, months later charge you for the rest of the contract ($3500), and turn you over to the collection agency. When you try to resolve the issue, the assistant manager, manager are too busy to meet with you and turn it over to the corporate. When you ask for corporate’s number to resolve it, they cannot give you their phone number, its private. They can care less that they are affecting your credit due to their errors in paperwork, and don’t want to resolve it. The maintenance is also incompetent; they tried multiple times to fix the plumbing and toilet in the apartment, and still couldn’t fix the leak. When they came in apartment to fix it, would track in mud and charge me to clean the carpets. There are too many apartments who understand how to take care of their tenants before and after the contracts are up. Dealing with Iron Horse Apartments in San Antonio Texas displays they couldnt spell service if their business depended on it, and it does. Stay away at all costs.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. Price sounds nice, but when you move in you will instantly regret it. First week I moved in the AC went out and stayed that way for a month. There is mold everywhere & they dont change air filters EVER! The maintenance doesnt ever do their job. Had to threaten to call corporate before they let me borrow a window unit that was encrusted in mold and smelt of smoke and mildew. My downstairs neighbor grills on his patio and fills my house with horrendous smoke & the apts do nothing. Noisy neighbors who vandalize cars. First week I moved in my water heater wasnt working. There is a huge list of reasons you should not move in here! This is just the start. If I could give 0 stars I would. They also loose packages in the office.

I paid my application fee $50.00 on 12/22/2021. I also paid my admin fee of $75.00 and deposit $250.00 which than came to a total of $400.00 dollars. An for some reason you didnt hold my unit that was requested. On Thursday the 12/23/2021. I picked my unit. Which was closes to the office and facing the parking lot. In which you also requested and received my admin fee and deposit for my unit the same day of the 12/23/2021. Which was your last day open before Christmas break. You also stayed that my unit was now being pulled and held for me. With the move in date scheduled for 01/21/2022. An then you sent me and email with additional forms to fill out for my dog and etc. An upon yesterday 12/27/2021 which was the first day back from your closing for Christmas break. Which you all was closed from 12/24/2021 until Monday 12/27/2021. A total of now four days later after requesting and receiving my admin fee and deposit through your online portal on 12/23/2021. You tell me that my unit was now taken. An no longer available to me. You also have yet to verify my employer. An as of today 12/28/2021 at this point you have my money of $400.00 and not the unit I requested and still have not completed my my employment verification. Which should have been done and completed before Hanna requested for the admin fee and the deposit. I asked what was the purpose of taking my security deposit if you havent already verified my employer, and that I make more than 3x times the rent. You stated because they have to hold the unit with the deposit in order to complete verification of my employer to ensure my unit. However, neither of the two have been done. I no longer want to move forward with this complex. Im requesting a full refund of all fees with a confirmation of the full refund of $400.00 dollars. Application fee, admin fee and security deposit included. This is a copy of the email that was sent to Hanna front desk clerk in which whom I was working with during the whole process. She didnt reply back to my email. I had to call her to confirm that she received my email. An she did! Also I requested confirmation for refund. I was then told that they dont do confirmation numbers for refund. Unacceptable! An however I should receive a check within four to six weeks. When it only took them thirty seconds to take my money through the online portal. Again Unacceptable! Requesting for corporate to reach out to me as soon as possible.

We scheduled an appointment last week for August 4 at 2:00PM for an apartment tour. We drove over 20 minutes to get to our appointment, and even arrived early. When we arrived there was this sign posted on the door. There was an associate inside of the office that saw us. Instead of coming to the door just for a second, she waved her hands no to sign that they were closed. Iron horse apartments has not left a good first impression. Unsure if we will still consider these apartments.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt but Chris the manager is very crooked. He acts like he wants to work with you and then gives you the run around. Chris has lied to me over and over about my deposit i have been out for a month and still havent received it. Chris also charged me a $140 out of my deposit supposedly for water for the first 2 and half months. Which were never on the portal or invoice. They are a inconsiderate, low budget complex, they dont care about your safety or business aspect right and wrong. Everyone that works there should be fired except for David. I read the reviews and everything before I moved in gave them the benefit of the doubt and I wish I never had.

My husband and I have been living here for about two years now. We have continued to have the same issues. Multiple work orders have been submitted and have spoken with Chris several times.Our AC blows hot air on and off.Dishwasher collects dirty water.And oven does not heat properly.Yes the prices are affordable. But Customer service is horrible. Ive had maintenance tell me Im lying about the AC not working. Ive expressed my anger towards Chris. Yet nothing continues to be done. Maintenance came to look at the AC said hell be back and has yet to come back. Speaking with Chris is like talking to wall. They dont listen and dont complete work orders.Beware ! And dont let the low prices fool you.

Its Horibble Here, I would NOT recommend anyone to move here... As Everyone Is Probleming With Maitance We Are Too, Our air conditioning has been out since we moved in September 2015, A maintace workee came and said our motor is going out and he will build a new one and have it on standby. 2 days later our air conditioning goes out again. He come back 2 weeks later, look at it. Say he will be right back. Doesnt come back that day, But comes knocking a week later wanting to fix it. At this point I told him no. We got an window unit just so we dont have to deal with the office anymore . I really hope one day this apartment complex gets under new management because they honestly suck. Roaches are a never ending problem. We been trying to treat themselves because once again, Maintace takes forever to come. Havent used dishwasher because it doesnt work either. Hasnt worked since we moved in. THIS IS A HORRIBLE PLACE . Cars get broken into, My car was vandalized and trashed. This is supposed to be a gated community as they advertised and they gate brakes every 2 days and then it stays broken for a long period of time.

I do not even know where to begin!! At this moment i feel like pulling my hair out!!! Since day one at least 7 months ago i had to take pictures of every issue that was in my apartment. Let me mind you, i made sure i told the apartment i was in no rush to move in. But of course they want their money so moved me in with many maintenance issues. Within time i had stuff fixed but it was more patch work than anything. My A.C has never been right and i have had to pay an arm and a leg in CPS bills. I have talked with Chris about this and basically laughs in my face and says he cant help. As i am writing this i have no A.C and the temperature outside is very humid. The small unit in my window helps nothing and there is slow water dripping from the ceiling inside. We called maintenace and they will not come out till tomorrow. I give KELLY AND CHRIS A THUMBS DOWN. The only one that has ever tried to help was DAVID. I have two more weeks here and let me tell you i cant wait to get out of here. Please do not lease here save your money and time

I only have one star because I had no choice. Ive never stayed in an apartment complex where they are so lazy. Nothing ever gets fixed and when maintenance does come they do horrible patch up wk my AC has been broken for a week and its 100 degrees out. Its leaking all in my closet and bedroom the carpet man came to extract the water and says its all molded. My mom has cancer and I have a 11month old baby, these ppl couldnt care less. Horrible experience. Worst place to live. If your thinking about it, think twice definitely not worth the headache these ppl are slumlords. Thats just a piece of the problem.

Fleas & bed bugs will eat up your legs!You will literally see them jumping around in the carpets. Do not bring your pets.They do not change the carpets before you move in.The mold on the walls will make you feel so stuffy. Mold everywhere.Your mail will get stolen a few times.The mailboxes are not secure.Leaks. & constant construction outside.Living in these apartments is a waist of your money.Absolutely miserable.I feel so bad for maintenance, I bet they get complaints constantly.I hated living here.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR APPROVAL IN WRITING!!!!! I applied on August 23, 2019 in the office with David and was told by phone during the first week of September that I was approved and given a move in date of October 19, 2019. I was also given my address to set up CPS. I received a phone call on October 11, 2019 from Abby telling me my application was denied and to come in and pick up my deposit. Come to find out, conveniently, David is no longer with the company. They claimed the denial was due to negative rental history, which they equated to me being late twice in one year with rent on my current apartment. This is something that was never relayed before or during the application process. It is not on any paperwork. The only thing they have is they will deny for broken leases or evictions, which I have none. I know I fell on hard times and was late more than twice and would have not wasted their time nor mine, neither wasted $100 for the application fee. Even though I was late, I was never more than 15 days late and I paid all applicable fees. Honestly, I am not even upset that I was denied. I feel like I dodged a bullet after doing further research about the complex. I was upset they waited six weeks to change the decision and told me a week before I was to move in. I am writing this review so this will not happen to other prospective tenants. If they tell you that you are approved, please get it in writing. Also if you were late more than twice on your rent at your current place of residence, don’t waste your money on an application fee since you will be denied.

I can not believe how rude the front lady is! Me and my husband went in trying to rent our first apartment he whole time she is helping us she is talking super fast trying to rush us threw seeing the unit and app proces, bottom line ended up being we needed a co signer cool co signers have to make 5 times rent, what?! Anyways I am at work the next day and ask my mom who is stationed in Hawaii to be my co signer so she calls to see if thats aloud and if she would qualify the front lady flips the f out like How dare we even ask if this is how they treat possible tenants I hate to see how they treat actual tenets but its ok we rented else wear much nicer same price its possible dont waste your time here they dont care about you :)

Been here for awhile since 2021 everything was going smooth till July 2022 the leasing office decides to fill two more units on our side of the building and me coming back home from work the parking is full at night and it’s dark with less street lights and I have to park far I have to check my surroundings with my daughter. Ive lived all over America in my years, and this is absolutely the WORST place Ive ever lived. Even that may understatement to how bad this place really is, everything is old, broken, coming apart, or on its last limb. I had a closet door that was coming apart, all they did was put nails in it and it still came apart. After that I was told Id have a replacement door, NEVER got it. I dont suggest anyone to live here EVER, unless you just want a place and you a DESPERATE. They dont deserve your deposit. The manager is worthless, the workers are somewhat helpful, but the staff as a whole in effectiveness is F-. Theres a gate with a security code in my 6 months of living in this DUMP its been close maybe 2 days consecutively. I dont feel safe nor secure here, Im glad that Ill be moving out soon, this place need to be destroyed.

They are making HUGE improvements all over the complex. It’s an older place, so it is what it is, but I’m very impressed with how much work is being done.I see lots of new professional looking staff. And they are always moving, looking for opportunities for improvement. There has definitely been a change for the better in the office.All in all I feel like I can trust this complex and so can you.

Literally the worst experience ever. We lived there for six months. We had three different next door neighbors in that time. It was horrible. The first was a drug dealer that stole our car, the office did nothing about it. The second was a wife beater with 4 kids in a one bedroom apartment. RENTER BEWARE. Iron Horse Valley is a NIGHTMARE! The only positive experience was the maintenance man.

Wonderful place to call home! Unfortunately you can’t please everyone, I myself am happy to call myself a resident of Iron Horse Valley. The office personnel is great, caring and fast working and the complex itself is fantastic, clean beautiful pools, and laundry facilities very conveniently located and fully functioning. Honestly what else could you ask for?

I pay rent on time, every time, and the staff that works here purposely over charge you on your rent, even though you paid on time. I called and they say they can’t do anything that the money will keep adding until I pay so. I was told to do a money a order and I did, they told me the exact amount and then turn around and slap me with a notice that I had to pay extra because I was “ late “ when they don’t take out your money out of your account until the next day.

It sucks that you only get good treatment when youre a prospective lease. once youve been here for a while, and have to live with the troubles that a very old complex would have, youre looked at really ugly when you walk into the office to try and get some help. very disrespectful, I feel, I pay rent every month and dont deserve the treatment Ive gotten here, cant wait till my lease is over so I can go else where.

I have lived here for about 4 months and I CANNOT wait to move. Saw roaches on my first day and continue to see them here and there. People around me are very noisy at all hours of the day. Ive called and complained to the office multiple times and they tell me I have to call the police to file a complaint- PATHETIC. Vehicles around my building have also got their cars broken into and not one email from the office about the incident. Management is horrible. DO NOT SIGN HERE.

The tour I had was okay, I just felt so bad for the person who gave me the tour. You can tell she was extremely sick she kept blowing her nose and coughing the whole time. She didn’t even have a voice when she gave me the tour. I feel so bad for her, she was so sweet and her intentions were there. But what kind of place would have there employees work right now especially at a time like this? It was definitely a HUGE turn away and I won’t ever rent here.

Do not live here; this complex is poorly managed and poorly maintained. While living here, there were multiple domestic disturbance calls, cars were being vandalized, but more importantly, the living conditions were deplorable.They have black mold growing in their units and the property management have failed to address these serious matters.Keep looking for other complexes that are managed correctly and offer their tenants a safe environment!

Roaches, fleas, bed bugs, residents and management that doesnt care about this place. The pic of the dog feces is something I have to wake up to everyday because people do not pick up after their dogs and management does not enforce picking up after your dog nor do they provide dog bags for the residence. Ohhhhh and dont forget about the beautiful landscaping that happens every weekend. Water was leaking over live wires and I ended up getting shocked 3 times. Called the after hours emergency number, management deemed it a non emergency and will deal with it in the morning. The hole has been in the ceiling for a month and a half...also a non emergency.

No one at the back half of the complex 2441 NE Loop 410 has been able to receive mail for about 3 months now because the post office asked the complex to fix our boxes and they did not. So the post office is now sending ALL our mail RETURN TO SENDER. THREE MONTHS!!!!

These apartments are absolutely horrible. They are roach infested and the only way they can get rid of these roaches is to tear down the apartments. No matter how clean you keep your home, the roaches just come and come. Theyre everywhere including the stove, doors and even the fridge. I clean everything from top to bottom with bleach and the problem is still persistent. Its hard battling roaches all day and night.

Oak trees are beautiful. Apartments roomy with high ceilings*New status* --- I just had a relative kick out of the Iron Horse apts., because of a pet they were taking care of for a friend of theirs. Management was made aware of it by this Caucasian maintenance guy,who works there,it was on a Friday, management wanted them out by Monday. Isnt there a Law,against that type of situation, allowing them to remain there for 30 days,theyve always been on time with the rent money, no formal complaints against them....*New Status* Unfair Iron Horse Apts, They should be ashamed of themselves, but not to worry,their next of kin, rose to the occasion, their well taken care of #mad#😤#kin#!!🤐😎😤

Fiancé lives here has been waiting for maintenance to come since he moved in 3 months ago. Issue is the stove ( which in my opinion is a fire hazard ) you ask maintenance to come look at stuff and service order is suddenly lost and they cant enter your apartment unless they have one. Towl rack falling off the fall least of his concerns. Cars parked that never move so creates no parking . Other than maintenance apartment is ok. Very spacious and nice floor plan

I lived there years ago and when I showed up with a truckload of furniture late at night, Amador - one of the leasing agents at the time, told me that he didnt have any more 6 month leases and all he had were 12 month leases, despite having promised a 6 month lease during our discussions. I was stuck so I had to sign it. 8 months later I had to move out and its now a blemish on my credit report. Dont trust them and dont move here. Theyre underhanded and despicable.

Kelly King does exist but is never ever on property. She claims she is able to manage the property by not actually being there. Unfortunately she is in charge of 3 properties and is not a regional manager, just a property manager and has zero ability to delegate tasks to her assistant managers who work onsite . For example at Iron Horse Valley, Chris is the assistant property manager but is not given any authority to make any decisions about the property even though he has worked there for 3 years and is always onsite and has personal experience of what is going on (technically his position allows him to share authority but Kelly will never allow that). She has zero first hand knowledge of what is happening at her properties because she works from home and in the car.

Love living here and is very quiet. Maintenance is quick to respond to work orders or emergency’s. Office personal are very polite and always greet you professional and make you feel welcomed. If your looking for a place to live, I would recommend living here.

These apartments are terrible I have a friend that put in a work order for them to fix her front door. She was raped due to not being able to lock her door, code compliance has been there and to them to fix it that was a month ago, This is bull, her dishwasher doesnt work, back door does lock, the front door pulls away from the wall LITERALLY!!! You should know the Apartment number

Im only giving the 5 star to Eddie maintenance technician. In certain situations I understand you can do all that you can. Well Eddie went beyond for me and Im really glad he was able to help because Im a certified licensed HVAC technician myself and I know how difficult it could be especially apt complex. Eddie your good in my book keep grindin great things come to wait... With that being said 5 star to Eddie now far as the property manager WE NEED TO DO BETTER IN ALL DUE RESPECT. Chris the asst manager actually the only one that reached out to me on my concerns thank you.

The rude staff really needs courses in customer service. They constantly over talk you without letting you get a word in edgewise. Glad things didnt work out for me to get an apartment here. Found another property where things are done more professional. I see why there is a 2.4 rating.

The office people sucked and didnt seem to care about the people who lived there as long as they got your money, maintance crew was bad, hardly got anything fixed, been there nearly 5 years and thankfully just over a year ago moved out and bought a home, also lost a phone due to poor upkeep, had water poor down from the upstairs neighbors. I hated being there, and still to this day hate this place.. if I could give them negitive stars I would they dont deserve and stars that are good!!!

This place is absolutely disgusting my sister used to live here and she had mold all in her hallway closet from TOP TO BOTTOM literately! They fixed it by painting over it! They gave her a apartment that had a water leak when the ac came on so the whole apartment was pretty much filled with buckets of water...Im telling you DONT NOT MOVE HERE...very sucky and the maintenece people are lazy and fat! And dont really fix nothing. My boyfriend mom still live here too and she never gets the things fixed that she asks to get fixed...they come to fix her sliding door screen and it still hasnt been fixed right!! I was thinking of moving here and I said oh hell no I wouldve been miserable..Ugh I hate this place and the Adams lady is rude as hell. DO NOT MOVE HERE...worse choice youll ever make.

PASS THIS PLACE BY, LOOK ELSEWHERE !!!!!!This has to be by far the worst apartment I stayed in . I put in work order for maintenance burner on stove doesnt work , fire place leaks water when it rains , water stains on sealing in master bedroom , mold in the bathroom on sealing , tiles falling off from around the bathroom tub , AC leaks water in to tub from over flow . Thats just maintenance ! Mail box was broken into my mail opened in trash can and scattered on the ground . I asked to have my key replaced because it broke off inside the lock , been giving me the run around about waiting for new locks to come in . So that mean my mail in stuck in the box. Domestic disputes cops called in .

Had to put 1 star..deserves nothing but neg...I been here 3 months and this place is hell..yeah the rent is cheap they are trying to fell their apts up cause its alot that are empty here....your car will be broken into..people next door to me sells and smoke weed everyday so my apt smells like Im smoking weed too..walls are thin so you hear every word during their auguements..the girls boyfriend kicks in the door hits the walls so many times that your stuff fells off the wall..she throws his stuff down the stairs at 2-3 clock in the morning..police comes and assistant manager Chris sits their and listen but does nothing.. She will come knocking on the door wanting to use your phone.. If she puts something out that is valuable then it comes up missing she will assume that you took it..pretty much if you do all of this you will not be evicted even though it states on the lease that all of this is grounds for eviction but here nope so you can sell and do drugs here cause its ok. But if you are 5 days late Chris will not accept your rent you will be evicted. Long story short iron horse valley is the place to sell and deal drugs here....manager does not care......

Ongoing rat infestation! The office thinks having pest control out one time to put a bait box is enough. They have not came to inspect the apartment to look into how the rodents are getting in. These are not mice they are big rats!

WORST PLACE EVER!!!!! Never ever ever pay to live here, AC is always breaking, they never come to fix it. Its been out for so long now, we have toddlers and its SUMMER!! We had a tour with Criss and Just from walking the apartments you can tell they were maintained and kept up with. Criss had amazing service and she was very informative! She even helped with the application process over the phone . Definitely recommend!

A couple of weeks ago we transferred to a different apartment and we had major problems(hot-water heater, stove & breaker box) we put in for maintenance and in walked Christopher, he had problems with a few things at first but he never gave up (and got everything working)👍🏼Thanks Christopher

Dont ever move here Analise is so rude and they never fix anything properly, I have had a mold spot in my ceiling for longer then a year!! They fixed it once by spaying it with white spray paint!!! They have ants everywhere...I just am so upset with this place...No hot water to wash clothes!! uggghh I want to cry im so upset!!

I had read some Google reviews before moving into this place but just ASSUMED that the reviews were just made by people that didnt get what they wanted when they wanted. I was wrong for making that assumption, my list of complaints are like everyone elses- 1) the roaches, 2) unsecured mailboxes, 3) ac always braking down, etc. I cant wait for my lease to be up

I want to give a HUGE shout out to Eddie the maintenance worker. He has really gone above and beyond with helping me this morning with my toilet overflowing and flooding my entire bathroom. Thank you so much Eddie!!! I love living here!!

This lady Blanca who works at the front desk has never been of any help. Ive visited the property three times now and she always seems uninterested, unwilling to help, making up excuses of why she cant do so and so (i.e. were about to close when its 30 minutes left for them to close the property). Terrible service.

IF I COULD RATE IT ZERO STARS I WOULD. Not even a week into and there is an infestation of cockroaches. The management team has done nothing to fix the issue. The staff has been rude and offers no solutions.

I have lived at this apartment complex for 11 1/2 years and have been through changes in the office and maintenance staff several times and the staff they have now are by far the best Ive seen. They are very friendly and helpful and especially during this time of the pandemic it is so greatly appreciated.

I love this place! It’s in a great location and the property is clean. Not to mention, the staff is awesome! I appreciate Roger and Hannah for a great experience upon move in. They are professional, informative and the move in process was seamless! Thanks again:)

Ive been without AC with small children and its steady getting hot Ive called 6 times about it and all the manager said was we cant come til tomorrow well its tomorrow and they still have yet to come Ive continued calling amd they keep saying they will call and get back to me still nothing dont bother calling the emergency line Ive only ever used it 2 times in the almost year Ive been here and they didnt show up either time I had feces water all over my bathroom floor and coming into my bedroom they showed up 12 hours after the fact now the AC thing

Overall nice experience for my second aparment. It looks nice, and its quiet, only issues are, maintenance is always tied up, and too many damb speed bumps

The police are always here, my mailbox was torn from the wall and sat on the ground for almost a month, mgmt is horrible, maintenance half ass works on your work orders. Im so ready to move

Worst customer service on the phone....Chris the so called manager is so unprofessional along with all the ladies that work there....no wonder this place has only 1 1/2 stars probably would have less if I could choose nothing!!!!! I feel really sorry for the residents that live there

These people are no better than comman street criminals they will steal your deposit even though your application was never proceed avoid these crimnals there ate better apts out there and not ran by criminal

Air went out and reported it on a sunday, maintenance came and fixed it immediately, he went over and beyonder to find the needed parts to get the job done.

Ive been here for 2 months now and I regret every minute of living here, PLEASE DONT MOVE IN HERE. The money may sound good but you get what you pay for, save yourself the headache dont do it.

These apartments are cheap but they dont respond to a maintenance call quick at all you have to wait over a month to get anything done not worth it.

I recommend not living here because there is a opening towards the gate where people can get in and steel your items so people please dont come and live here

I went to visit a friend and there was Noticeable property damages to building n parking areas. There was a vehicle burglarized

My grandma lives here the place is quiet and quaint. The area is beautiful and well kept
