I would like to express how amazing this place has been to me and my husband, we moved in and it was the easiest process. It was the best 2 years, it was bittersweet leaving this amazing place. I would recommend living here to any person any time. The front office is amazing thank you for everything you all and maintenance did for us.
I would probably have to say this is one of the smoothest move-ins I’ve had in a while. All the staff have been very helpful and great with communicating throughout our move-in process. Marisela remained patient while answering all of our questions. Our apartment had a few minor repairs but the maintenance staff were quick to respond and fixed everything within two days. We really look forward to living in our new home!
Ventana staff & management is very unprofessional. Lack integrity and judgement-gave permission to a stranger to enter my apartment who is a Violent Felon in turn I was assaulted and embezzled from. Skyrocketed fees for a safe and gated community is a LIE!!! Ventana management basically threw up their hands when my Rights as a lease holder was questioned by said attacker! Ive never had to call 911 or Police assistance in my life - til that day Ventana chose NOT to protect me as a citizen and lease holder.
I very much enjoyed my time living here! Amazing apartments and even better ladies at the front desk. Marisela was the best and always helped me with whatever I needed! Loved the random activities and the food trucks most Thursday were very fun :)
Just had the best experience. I’ve looked at so many apartments and have, I would say a decent experience with most, but Ariel, hands down had the best demeanor and really took the time to listen. I went in as support and a second opinion for my friend. I was quite impressed because she took the time to get to know both of us and figure out exactly what she wanted before just taking us to a random apartment. She was patient with all our questions (including mine). She showed us all of the amenities which were extremely clean. I think my friend will be extremely happy living here and will be well taken care of!
Some of these complaints about Ventana are just ridiculous. I’ve lived here for 6 years and could not be happier. When new management took over a few years back this place got BETTER! The staff does a great job of upkeep. The updates have been wonderful and you can’t beat the location! Yes, my rent has gone up, but that’s the price for the wonderful area. People don’t complain when home & property values go up!! Why complain here? Great place to live, take it from someone who has been here for 6 years.
Dropped my 5 stars to a 1.I’ve been disappointed with my experience at this apartment complex recently. The biggest issue is the lack of enforcement regarding pet policies. Tenants are frequently allowing their dogs to relieve themselves in the entrance area of the building, creating an unsanitary and unpleasant environment. Its been ongoing for months now and continues till today. Despite multiple complaints, management has not taken effective action to address this problem. It’s become a major inconvenience and has significantly affected my quality of living here. I would not recommend this place until they address these cleanliness and management issues.
Nice apartment, responsive maintenance, kind of dangerous area. My wife’s car got broken into 3 times, two of these times being successfully stolen, have seen two different residents have their wheels stolen, and saw three men with guns two weeks ago breaking into a nice sports car right outside my bedroom window. All within one year. With a courtesy officer, I’d give this apartment 5 Stars; however being that they are aware of these things yet don’t make a change, I will have to deduct a few stars.
Marisela R. took me on a tour and expressed all the amenities and perks the apartment came with! I have never felt so welcomed and safe inside of an apartment complex, her and her team have done a fabulous job with making the apartments look amazing and worth living! Moved in back in April and haven’t had any complaints. Compared to our last apartment this is a dream! Maintenance requests? They get done within 2 days! The community is very quiet and friendly. Marisela is the best!! She was so welcoming and supportive of our move and made sure everything ran smoothly for us.The application process was very easy and fast, everything was taken care of online so that was nice. We love our 2bd apartment there’s so much space and our view from our balcony is the best!
I’ve had an amazing experience living at Ventana. The apartments are fantastic, especially with the washer and dryer connections that make life so much easier. Every room having a walk-in closet is a huge plus! The manager, Teresa, is incredibly helpful and always ensures everything runs smoothly. Highly recommend!
I have lived here for over a year and I would truly never recommend anyone to this place. The first year was fine with minimal issues. But the truth of the matter is that these buildings are old as dirt but Ventana rents them out as if they were brand new because they are refurbished.The pictures you see below are my lovely apartment ceiling. For $1,039 a month you can have a ceiling that has not one, but two leaks! A steal for sure. You can also go down to the front desk, email them these exact pictures, and receive no calls, emails or anything about the status of when this will be fixed. I understand the girls at the front desk are basically just messengers who wont check an email unless I walk down there and ask. They dont give out a way to contact the person in charge which I get but SOMEONE needs to contact me and tell me whats going on and when this is planning to be fixed.So far Ive been told that the contractors cant fix the ceiling anyway until the roof is dry. As of right now, it is a beautiful sunny day and the roof has not seen a drop of rain all day. I think the roof is completely dry. I also did not appreciate the old guy in the office saying that the leak is fine and hes been in the construction industry for 40 years. Sir, I truly do not care, my ceiling is leaking. Unless you want to fix it with all your experience, I dont need your opinion.The girl at the front desk is clearly tired of hearing from me since this started but its going to continue until she gets her manager (who Im not allowed to contact) to speak with me. Tell management that no one wants a monthly party in the front office, we want the apartments to stop falling apart, the dog issues to be fixed, and the hallways to be clean. If you are looking for an apartment in this area I would recommend the nice brand new place next door called The Mark. Its not much more, its brand new and Ill be moving there when my lease is up.I have no way to contact management other than in reviews so I look forward to hearing from management shortly after I post this.
This is my second time living here. I shouldn’t have left in the first place. Anyway, I love it here. Management is great and her awesome leadership rubs off on her staff. The maintenance guys are the best. They’re always willing to help when I need something done in my apartment. I’m so glad to be living here again.
Living here was the best part of my time in San Antonio. The staff works with you, maintenance is super fast and kind, and the location is perfect. Im definitely grateful for my time at this apartment complex!
I recently moved in and I couldnt be happier. Special thanks to Divinity who handled my entire move-in process like a pro. Moving from Canada to Texas can be a bit challenging but the entire staff was really welcoming, accommodating and just wonderful. The community is great and there are so many wonderful places to walk to. Super pet friendly!
I absolutely love living at Ventana Apartments, it’s been almost 3 months now and I nothing but amazing things to say! Wanna give a huge shout to one of their leasing consultants working there, Marisela! She has the most wonderful and professional customer service I’ve seen, shown me all the different floor plans available at the time, gave me details about the place, and shown me all around the complex when I first started looking! The area is nice, clean, and quiet and has a beautiful swimming area. I can definitely see myself living here for awhile!

My review has dropped, as when it was time for me to move in on the 1st, the apt was nowhere near acceptable to move in. With all the work that stills needs to be done, I am not able to currently live in what was supposed to be my new home.In my search for a new place to live, Marisela Rodriguez was very helpful in finding a unit that met all my needs, without having to compromise. I look forward to making this my new home.
I recently returned to San Antonio after being out of state for 8 years. I grew up in this area and remember when Ventana was being built! I didnt expect Id ever being living here, but I am so glad that I decided on Ventana. Not only do I love my apartment, but the management and the maintenance team are excellent! All of my maintenance requests have been handled within a few hours of submitting my request!! I have never had a response like that anywhere else I have lived.The location is ideal. I have easy access to I-10, and 1604, and I can get almost anywhere in the city in no more than 25 minutes....even downtown!The grounds are beautiful, neighbors are respectful and friendly. It is a quiet complex and very peaceful.I would definitely recommend Ventana to anyone!
Terrible apartment complex. I cannot recommend enough to stay away from this place. The management is terrible. They would take forever to get back with you about an issue and at all cost will make this issue your fault and yours to deal with. Specifically Lily in the office was horrible to interact with.Apartments have mold and standing water in the ceilings from the freezes the past few years. Animal fieces and odors got out of hand and I would have to cover my face when walking to my car. One of the residents was feeding animals there so there were all kind of stray cats, racoons, and cayotes on a daily basis.I did not feel safe living here. The car theft was terrible and security was non existent. Residents were not friendly. Someone was even shot and killed in the parking lot.
Ive lived here at Ventana for a month now and I cant say enough good things about living here. From the beginning Divinity made the leasing process a breeze. I cant thank her enough for going above and beyond to make sure the move-in process and first month was stress free. Any minor maintenance request I put in got handled the next day. That has never been my experience in any other apartment Ive ever lived in. The complex is clean, quiet and feels like home.
Almost every week they have something in the front live music food and more! Apt wise is pretty good cant really complain! Some areas of parking are rough but great place to live!
First and foremost, I would like to thank Lily and Nazareth, for being such excellent host, and helping me in my moving transition! I accepted the B-3 Floorplan and it was the perfect choice for what I need! And with all the extra amenities, this is a perfect place to live. Thank you To all the staff with such great hospitality! I feel like I made the perfect choice for my new home.
Do NOT move here. Unless you want to be done dirty by management, and your bathtub to be rusted. Also, if you want to sleep, you better get the top floor, because you can hear every step your neighbors and their dogs take, and management cant do anything about it really.Teresa Heeney(from management)- please just quit. Obviously you dont care for your tenants as you should with your however many years in the industry you have. Let someone who does take your place.
Dont make the same mistake as me and read the regulations about dogs carefully. I just moved in and I am disappointed in these apartments there are fleas and ticks and an extreme dog smell. The carpet smell is unbearable. The whole apartment smells like dog pee and poop. If you have a dog you must prepare for this rule 👉 here it is prohibited to have dogs on the Balcony unless you leave the balcony door open 24/7 so that the dogs can come and go, risking a 🐀 entering and also the flies and mosquitoes. I have a dog and my pet enjoys being outside looking at nature, the light and the squirrels 🐿️ but now he lives locked in a dark apartment with many limitations. I really dont know how Ill do it when I have to go to work or have a doctors appointment, or I want to go out to a restaurant or theres a storm and its raining and my apartment has the balcony door open, or the other option is to close your balcony door and Leave the dogs alone inside and when you arrive your dog will greet you with many surprises in your apartment, like a destroyed sofa 🛋️ or a lot of pee and poop all over the apartment. And finally, the apartment is not what they promised me, they promised me a completely renovated apartment and when I entered it was a semi-renovated apartment with a very different kitchen than the one they showed me.
We love living at Ventana. The staff is amazing and every time we need something, they take great care of us. Divinity is always so helpful and friendly. She goes out her way to make sure our experience here is great.
I was looking for an apartment to move to San Antonio from Austin, and this was my first time moving on my own and I got the best help ever here! From the moment I applied online to when I went for an in-person tour, I was always treated with the most kindness and understanding ever! Lori was great to me and helped me navigate the whole process. I’ve now signed my contract and ready to move in 2 months. I cannot wait to live here since i’ve heard great things about this place and loved it when I toured it.

We love the location and spaciousness of our apartment. After being here for a year, we decided to upsize for our growing family and stay longer. The staff have been so sweet especially Maricela and Teresa in helping us get settled into our home. Maintenance is on point and we love the pool for super hot days!
Ive lived at Ventana for almost 4 years and have very little to complain about. Its in a great location. Its quiet and management is great! Do I wish it was more updated, yes but what you see is what you get. For me the most important thing about living in an apartment is how responsive they are to maintenance requests. Ventana has the best maintenance team. EVERY request I have placed has been handled as if I were the only tenant. Arturo and Henry are so kind and know what they are doing and work hard! I could move to a bougie apartment but I choose to stay here because of the service they provide.
I had a great experience at Ventana! I originally moved in June 2020 and was new to San Antonio. However, I quickly realized this was a stellar community in a great area! Ventana also has great lighting at night and a welcoming community feel to it. The entire maintenance team is always hard at work, very friendly and most importantly, serviced my apartment in a timely manner. The pool was kept in good condition and was one of the best things of living there. The office staff were always great too! Teresa and Jennifer are both there from when I moved in and always greeted me with a smile. The rest of the leasing staff has changed but all three of them (Chelsey, Lizet, and Sandra) are amazing at their job. I would recommend anyone to live at Ventana if you want an above and beyond experience!
I love living here! Moved in about 4 months ago and Im so happy I did. The day before I moved in, they told me that the previous tenant had left the carpet & floors a mess, so they renovated the whole units flooring--without increasing my rent! Maintenance takes care of my requests promptly and the office staff is very helpful whenever I call. Parking is frustrating sometimes. Definitely an older apartment complex, but kept up very well aside from usual wear and tear. I have a huge balcony and a great floor plan for a reasonable price in a very convenient location. The pool is really nice, the gym is kind of limited but still has the basics for a quick workout. Its just what I needed.Updated to add: I ended up living here for two years and was so sad to leave when I moved out of town. I still miss it. Staff was always so helpful and friendly, from the front office to the maintenance crew! Super safe and well-located community. The living experience here was totally different (in the best way) from living in other apartments in San Antonio. Theyre awesome.
I love living at Ventana! During my apartment search, Lizet and the rest of the leasing staff were incredibly helpful and kind. They were patient and helped me find the right unit for my needs and made the move-in process super smooth. This is a quiet, peaceful community to be a part of. The apartments are older than some others nearby, but they’re cozy and have interesting layouts. The neighbors I’ve met have been very welcoming, and the maintenance staff has gone above and beyond to help me get settled and make small fixes here and there. Also, the modern amenities are great and you can’t beat the location, with quick access to food, bars, shopping, and the interstate. Highly recommend!
Moved in about 2 weeks ago. When we toured, Lisa P was amazing! She listened to our wants/needs and found us an apartment that was perfect for us. The application process was easy, and Lisa continually contacted us throughout the process.Our move-in went pretty well. Originally supposed to have carpet in our unit, but due to what I assume was damage/smells from the previous tenants, they replaced everything to laminate. Greatly appreciate this!! All of our initial maintenance requests were answered/resolved within 48 hours. Super happy with the overall complex layout, amenities, bark-park, and weekly food trucks!
I have been living here for almost a year. Anytime I have ever had a problem, they are here fixing it. I had my AC go out once and they brought me a window unit until it was fixed. (My other apartment did not do that!) The people who work here are very nice, and the maintenance people are also super sweet. I really like it here. There are a ton of trees and birds. Dont forget they allow 3 pets! I never have problems with bugs. The inside of my apartment is super nice. When we moved in, it was super clean and smelled great. I also never hear my neighbors. Pools are nice as well, I dont visit them often but they are always clean when I do go.This is a really nice place to live. Kinda pricey but I think its worth it.
I lived at Ventana for roughly 5 years in 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units while in the area. I loved the convenient location, the property, setting, and trees. The office staff and maintenance crew are very inviting and kind. Maintenance was always quick to show on rare occasions I had maintenance issues. They were courteous, efficient, truly seemed to enjoy their jobs, and took pride in the property. I had not lived in an apartment community for about 20 years and was very happy with my choice. It became home and not just a place to live. There are many long time residents and staff. Social or not, it was nice to see familiar faces and feel a sense of community. I miss Ventana and SA and would most likely choose to live at Ventana again if I returned.
I would give zero stars if I could, I lived here for 2 years. This place is an absolute joke, office staff will be very nice with you during your “touring phase” but afterwards forget it. You’re just a number to their paycheck. We had so many problems with our neighbor, but staff doesn’t care because they don’t deal with it.When they were redoing the roof there was a water leak and it came through to one of our rooms. The carpet was saturated with water and mold grew, all maintenance did was spray some mold killer and put a fan to dry. But of course the mold grew right back. All they do is bandage the problems, but never actually fix it.This apartment also has a serious roach infestation. If you don’t have a garage, good luck finding parking after 5pm or anytime on a weekend.
My girlfriend and I are currently in the market for a new place, our representative is Melissa Murray. She was very nice, patient and knowledgeable of the apartment complex. While were still looking over our options we feel very comfortable letting people know to ask for Melissa so you too will have a better understanding of what Ventana has to offer.Teresa, the manager was also helpful who we know through a personal reference. Her work ethic and eye for detail shows through the quality of the property as well as the amazing staff.
The maintenance staff here is phenomenal. They do quite a bit of work to ensure that the grounds are usually spotless. They work tirelessly to take calls whenever we need anything in our apartment fixed, however, they can only do so much with what they have to work with.The apartments are dated, to be sure. There are stairs in my building that look like they are one step away from falling apart and becoming dangerous. I can only leave from one side of the building due to this. There are patches all over my wall that look like poor patch jobs from previous residents that no one bothered to fix.When I first moved in, I felt lied to because the apartment itself was filthy, and the AC was broken. We went for three weeks without AC, though they gave us a small window unit. It was not enough to cool the entire apartment. It was out during a time when it was quite hot in the area. I thought this would be the first and last time I would be let down by staff, but I was very wrong.Recently, there have been people leaving notes on cars, and the staff here refuses to acknowledge it. They ask that residents fill out surveys, but I imagine they cherry pick to find ones that make their residence look good so that they can get more people to stay here. Today, another note with foul language was left on my partner’s vehicle regarding his parking. Mind you, the parking spaces themselves are poorly drawn in that they are too thin. We are forced to squeeze in because of this.On top of that, I had a bed delivered recently. Myself and another resident ordered two different sized beds. Mine was the larger of the two. The delivery people went to try to get my bed at the house that it was misdelivered to, and the person did not answer their door thereafter. This was minutes after my bed was delivered to them. I know that the staff couldn’t do much, but they also did not offer to help nor did they seem empathetic in any way.I regret having chosen to live here. The community itself is gorgeous, and walking here is lovely, but the office staff doesn’t seem to care quite as much once you’re moved in. They will apologize to placate you, but they will do nothing substantial about your complaints. I am still waiting for them to live up to their reputation in offering exceptional customer service. I truly hope that once they see this they will at least offer some sort of solution to the many problems around their beautiful apartment complex. I do genuinely still want to live here just because it’s such a good location, but the problems are just starting to become almost too much.Update: Jennifer from the front office contacted me regarding my concerns. They will be addressed, and for that I am grateful. I do feel that when I contacted regarding some of the issues in the past I was dismissed, but I am deeply appreciative that my concerns are being heard, so thank you again.
I preferred to tour this apartment mainly for the location and the cheap rent. I visited from a far off place, I did mention to the agent.1. They allowed online appointment booking. But your was denied(mainly because the agent was not happy to get around)But the agents at the leasing office made my day so bad, and they were so unkind and exhibited inequal behavior(dont judge someone by looks, you never know what and who they are)They werent happy to have a evening tour.2. It was so hot and sultry, though they have a battery car in which they could have toured me, they didnt.I am being courteous and not mentioning the name of the office assistant.But it was very unwelcoming and humiliating experience.If the management really cares, they can reach out to me to know more details
I’ve lived at Ventana for 2 years now and it’s been wonderful. The office staff is amazing and they address any of my issues promptly and professionally. Plus, the location is AMAZING! Would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone looking in the area.
My boyfriend and I just moved there. The staff is so helpful and really does anything in their power to make sure your happy. We worked with Lexi! Shes amazing! My apartment wasnt done being renovated when our move in date came around. They felt so bad and I was so stressed out so they offered us a bigger apartment for the same price. or we could move in while its still being renovated. Ive lived at apartment complexes that will just push back your move in date and not compensate you at all. Im very impressed with how nice the place is. Even though our apartment isnt finished Im sure its going to be beautiful.Update: When they renovated they left a lot of spots unpainted or have a weird color on the wall, but its still pretty nice. ALSO they never answer the phone in the office, so if you ever need to get a hold of them email or come into the office, but I find that kinda annoying. I changed my rating.
We moved in a few months ago. We love living here! Our apartment is nice, quiet and the property is clean and well maintained. The management is always on top of things when we need something. Any issue weve had gets addressed right away usually same day. We have had zero problems with any rodents or roaches which is a huge deal for me. The only thing thats not great is the parking so I suggest reserving a covered parking spot or a unit with a garage. Location is great. Rent is reasonable.
So far so good! Moved in about 3 weeks ago. Lisa and Melissa in the front office were amazing. My father got sick right before I was scheduled to move in and I was able to push back my move with no problems. They were so accommodating and helpful to what we needed. The complex is so perfect in its location and so far very safe and friendly. Overall, very happy with our choice!
Recently located to SA and secured a unit after a virtual tour while residing in another state. Upon arrival, we scheduled an in-person tour of the unit we signed the lease for and saw a few things that didn’t meet our standards, so Lisa P not only stepped in to find us another unit that suited our needs but took the time to listen/understand why we were not impressed. Our previous lease was voided, and we were transferred into a new unit where Lisa assured that anything not to our liking would be taken care of by maintenance in addition to cosmetic requests shed like worked on as well. She was a lifesaver and extremely professional with making sure we as new tenants were taken care of properly. Greatly appreciated Lisa!!
I have lived here for just about a year and by far the best apartments I have resided at. I have lived in fancy apartments and they were ok. But what makes this place very unique is the staff both office and maintenance. I have never had to wait long for any maintenance request to be fulfilled. The office staff is super nice and always ready to assist you with what ever you need. And I have a big shout out to the property manager. Super caring and understanding she bent over backwards to make my situation better. I really cant say enough good things about this place. Even my neighbors are pretty cool. If you want a great place to live the Ventanas is a great choice.
All I can say is WOW, my partner and I went on a in person tour today and Lisa was amazing. She kept us entertained and was very informative as well. We loved the friendly atmosphere and many amenities they had. We won’t be moving until next March but I definitely think we found our next home , can’t wait! The other lady we didn’t her name but she was awesome as well.
Living at Ventana has been wonderful Lisa in the office is a rock star ! The apartments are amazing the staff always makes sure anything you need is taken care of ASAP . The pool is amazing as well . They have amazon lockers so you never lose a package . Lots of food trucks and social events . This place rocks ! we are moving due to buying a home and will miss everyone here . Thank you for the memories , they are not even making me give notice but will automatically move me to month to month just fantastic ! Can not stress enough how great this place is to call home .
The staff has been absolutely amazing from the day I toured, to the day I moved in. The day I took a tour, I was so frustrated feeling like every complex I had visited didn’t want to waste their time on me. Chelsey very quickly turned that around and made me feel more than welcomed. Even after I’ve moved in, she has taken the time to check in and see if I need anything. The office staff has been so friendly and even the maintence team has been quick and attentive. Arturo noticed a few of my light bulbs in the bathroom were out and changed them without me even mentioning it. Thank you to everyone at Ventana for being so warm and welcoming!!
My family has lived at Ventana for 4 years. Weve had no major issues here. If I contacted the office about anything, theyve always been great with helping me get my situation taken care of in a timely manner. The office staff and maintenence staff has always been great. I really hate that we are parting ways. I wish we could stay but we have to be off to new adventures. I am really going to miss coming home at Ventana. Thank you to all of the staff for treating our family so well.
I absolutely love these apartments and the staff. I’ve lived here for two and a half years and have never had any issues with my apartment that weren’t remedied right away. The maintenance team is amazing and that is VERY important when choosing an apartment to live in. The manager Teresa is amazing and all her staff as well. We lived at Ventana Apartments for 2 years. The staff is professional and always available when needed. I would like to recognize Prianca whom has always been exceptional in assisting us. The maintenance crew is very responsive, polite and efficient. The grounds are very well kept and maintained daily, especially the pool area. Overall Ventana has been a great place to live and highly recommended. Its convenience to shopping centers and restaurants is a added bonus. Me and my family really enjoyed living at Ventana. Toured the property on a rainy, Saturday afternoon but it didn’t matter the Lisa, the leasing agent! She was so amazing. She took her time & showed me all the great features of the community. The 2 pools, dog park, the package area, the gym (amazing!!) and even shared a bit of the history behind the property. I can’t wait to move in this Summer.

We cannot be happier. Lisa Plata made things so easy and was very professional assisting us on every step of the process as well as very patient explaining things to us, since we are new in town. The neighborhood is great, awesome location (Ventana Apartments - San Antonio), great amenities for a fair price. I have lived in this complex for many years, and have always felt safe and protected. I returned home after midnight on a Sunday when temperatures had reached 105, and the A/C was down (for the first time in the many years I have lived here). I called the office with an emergency maintenance request, and the gentleman on call came right out with all of his tools and fixed the unit immediately. He was so pleasant, as is everyone at this complex. The management has a well-oiled system going here, and it is so much appreciated!
This place has been great. Its a bit older and they do need to update my bathtub and some small things that are to be expected at an older place. I have an attached garage town-home style unit, so my experience is probably different than most. Its quiet, I never hear my neighbor (so I assume they cant hear me). I pull right up into my garage or the space right outside of it and never have a problem with parking. The office has always been nice and respectful to me. For the price you cant beat this place. I gave it 5 stars because this is the best you can realistically expect from apartments. Im relocating to a new city otherwise I would keep living here.
I have been living here for over 3 years and love it here. The staff are pleasant, accommodating and resourceful. The apartments and structure are always well maintained and inviting. But I think the staff are really what separate Ventana from other complexes. The cost is really good for what you get here. The only issue, particularly in colder months, can be parking after 8 pm or so weekday nights. The real plus is that I feel safe here. That said, I hope to be here for years to come.
Id been a resident of Ventana since summer 2020. The application just to get an apartment is more strict than the application I had to do to work in law enforcement. Maintenance is a joke. The office staff acts like they care, but the residents are nothing more than a number to them. Their only concern is to get people to commit to signing up and applying to become residents. Maintenance is overworked, understaffed, and unable to complete some of the repairs in a timely manner, if at all. I regret signing the lease here and was overjoyed when it expired, and was able to find somewhere else to stay. For the amount of money I spent every month here, I would have expected better. Lastly, Im fairly certain that the employees are writing all these positive reviews just to improve their star rating.

Love this property. Gorgeous trees and quiet community. The amenities are upgraded and they look great. The office staff is friendly and professional. Maintenance crew are top notch, happy and quick to complete the work orders. I love all of the nice treats they provide to the residents. I dont use the fitness equipment but it looks nice. Walking distance to shopping, cocktails and entertainment. Just off the highway without all the noise and the hassle.
I recently moved into the Ventana apartments on Huebner Oaks. I wanted to reach out because I have to compliment Ms Chelsey Hoadley in the front office. She is one of the most friendly, professional people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and definitely THE friendliest and most professional out of all the different apartment staff in San Antonio. This is my first time having to find an apartment and living in one, and Chelsey made it the most simple and pleasant process ever. She eased all of my concerns, never turned down a phone call, and even sold my older sister on the property with all the safety features she was able to point out! I am a nurse and am extremely busy, and she helped me through the whole process and was so understanding of my crazy schedule. She is truly an experience leader and I am just so grateful for her throughout this whole process. She went above and beyond for me. Further, all the ladies in the front office at Ventana are so kind and welcoming! They were so helpful during my move in day and following up on all my maintenance requests. Chelsey specifically made sure one maintenance request got fixed because it was difficult to resolve. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences since stepping foot on Ventana property and I am so glad it was the apartment I chose! Please reward Chelsey for all her amazing efforts. She is truly a gem on your staff.
My husband and I were looking for a place to live back in December and this was the first place we went to look at. We fell in love with how spacious the rooms were and how professional the staff was. Lizet was the individual that took us on the took and made us feel comfortable asking questions. After the tour we decided to lease right then and there. Ever since we moved in she has been amazing with responding to emails quickly and making sure we are good. Love this place and the lizet is amazing!!!

MOLD! MOLD! MOLD! MOLD! MOLD!I don’t care what good reviews you see, DO NOT BE FOOLED!!!Ventana has taken a turn for the worse after a management change.There is mold everywhere my tub and toilet were completely covered by the time we moved out, it was uncontrollable, when we called maintenance they told my husband and I quote “ Yeah man, we know it’s bad but management says until some one comes forward with a health problem there isn’t anything we can do”…. WHAT?!?!?? We found out a friend lived on the complete opposite end of the complex and guess what, major mold problem as well.Then WE get charged a $100 resurfacing fee because of the work they were going to have to do on the tub?!?! But you know it’s “standard” so that must make it ok.This complex is old and run down. They have done their best to cover things up but really take a good look before you move in!!!The exit gate in the front was basically broken the entire time we lived there. Their solution to “stay on top of things” was to send out an email alerting renters that TikTok has a trend making it easy to steal certain brands of cars and to be on the look out….Like that would have prevented a lawsuit 🤦♀️Our neighbors downstairs were 8 year tenants never even thought about moving out until this new management took over.And last but not least, we get an email saying “We have listened to your requests, what can we do to make living at Ventana even better than it is now … NEW PLANTS… we are going to completely refresh the landscaping blah blah blah” how about finishing the resurfacing of the parking lot that was never finished or maybe FIXING THE GATE, perhaps deep cleaning the gym so it doesn’t smell like old socks or maybe some new equipment??, or I don’t know maybe work on the MOLD problem that they are clearly aware of!!! Oh, and to top it all off lol right after they finished this amazing landscaping that everyone was apparently begging for one last deep freeze hit and killed all the freshly planted flowers. 🤦♀️Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere it’s a rainbows and butterflies until you sign that lease.

We’ve rented apartments from two different Venterra properties in the state and lived in the Ventana apartments for the last three years and love this property and the staff.The front office staff of Evelyn, Priyanka and Cassie are the best. Whenever we’ve had an issue with anything or anyone in the complex, they’ve been so attentive, helpful and caring. No matter the concern, these ladies have been on top of it.The Management staff of Teresa and Jennifer go out of their way to make this community safe, comfortable and fun.They take the time to really listen to the resident’s needs and offer individualized solutions.When we’ve had any parking or maintenance issues or noise complaints, Jennifer has resolved it and gotten back to us immediately.At the end of our contract, we needed a different style apartment closer to our child’s school but really didn’t want to leave this community. Teresa sat down with us and offered a few different apartment plans available at the Ventana then informed me that there is a school bus pick up:drop off location on site. Now we’re living in an apartment which is perfect for us!There are so many different events organized for the resident’s benefit such as birthday celebrations, breakfast tacos at the gate, holiday celebrations and my favorite event this year, the Haunted House. I loved how all of the staff all took part in it and managed to make it a scary, yet family friendly event. I still laugh thinking about how Aaron and the maintenance team scared everyone.The maintenance team cannot be overlooked in this review. These apartments are not brand new, therefore things need to be replaced or fixed every once in a while, as expected. Whenever something breaks, stops working or needs to be investigated, these guys work to resolve it until it is fixed or replaced. Aaron, Henry, Joseph and the rest of the staff are caring, hardworking and quick in resolving any issue the comes up and are always so polite and pleasant.The Ventana is one of the most comfortable communities we’ve experienced in the last several years. It is affordable, comfortable, safe and quiet, with a wonderful staff whom we value tremendously.
Lisa rocks! Was in a hurry to move, she made it easy!Update after 1.5 years living here: dropped to 2 starsr b/c these apartments are old and need lots of thing replaced and not band aid repaired… showers are old and moldy. Also, they only give you a small refrigerator/freezer. So small it does not even fit into the space..Freezer is so tiny. If you like to cook, don’t depend on fitting much into the fridge or freezer.Floors looks decent, but there is no padding under the the linoleum and the linoleum is so think…it is just super glued straight to the concrete floor. Have to wear slippers at all times.Thankfully Maintenance staff is good, so a positive, but they are handcuffed and have to repair when things need replacing.Ants everywhere. The pest control company they use do not treat anything. If you ask for pest control in your apartment, be prepared for them coming out and doing the minimal. Every morning I get into my car and there are ants in the car because of the huge ant problem in the parking lot and around the community. had to hire my own pest control for my apartment and to treat around the parking lot where I park and my wife’s parking space that we reserved and pay monthly for.Floors are also old and creek a lot. If you live on floor 1 or 2 be prepared to hear everything from your upstairs neighbor including regular walking. I have to play heavy rain on my phone at full blast in order to get a good night of sleep w/o hearing the creeking of my upstairs neighbor(not their fault).In all, for nearly $1700 for a small 2 bedroom(keep raising rates) apartment, not worth it(3 bedroom is more ridiculous at $2400). Should be $1200 max monthly rent for what you get…they have taken advantage of the Covid situation and now the inflation/bad economy high home prices and have raised their rates 30-40% in 3-4 years. The previous upstairs neighbor who moved out after 7 years said the were only paying $1200 but was told their price would go up to 1600 to renew…Update 03/23:Now changed to 4 stars.Looks like they are getting into a 3 bedroom for nearly the same price, but have to pay about $1k in fees to do the transfer. That is okay as the rent payment on 3 bedroom vs current 2 bedroom is only $100 more per month and I get a garage. I put in the request yesterday, hopefully they get it all done so we can transfer on 03/24/23!New apartment is so much better shape than the one I’m currently in.
Ive been living at Ventana for some months now, but there has been recent problems with cars being constantly broken into near building 20. If there could be some protection added to the broken wooden fences by the parking lot, that would lessen a lot of residents troubles!! Occasionally it feels unsafe seeing broken glass multiple in parking spots
The location is great to shopping, the theatre, other trendy retail outlets and nice restaurants. But more importantly the staff is warm, kind, friendly, and very helpful. You couldn’t ask for a better staff to interact with from the manager on down to the groundskeepers. The complex has pretty much stayed kept up, but has had some modern improvements that only enhances the property overall.My only slight complaint is the amount of pet owners who don’t pick up after their pets but this is no reflection of the staff itself. Also there has been a tremendous amount of pet owners that have moved to Ventana in the last couple of years and some of the dogs are sometimes unruly with constant barking. Otherwise a great property to live at. I highly recommend Ventana to anyone who is looking for a new apartment home!
Been apartment hunting for a few months and this is my number one choice when I move. Lisa was very friendly and gave plenty of information throughout our tour. The apartments were clean and it’s a nice neighborhood. Definitely worth looking into

Great experience with Chelsey! When I first moved in I had some issues with the floor and carpet. Chelsey was amazing to work with through the issues I was having and really went to bat for me. She was able to get me a full floor replacement for my apartment the very next day. Chelsey had great communication and was extremely professional. 10/10 Chelsey rocks!
I recently moved from one complex to this one & the differences are really night & day. During my walk-through, I noticed a few issues & documented them on my checklist. Maintenance showed up the very next day - my previous complex could take days to weeks to resolve maintenance issues. Chelsey has also been super helpful in addressing my concerns quickly & with courtesy. I feel safer & I love the ambience here.
This is my 3rd year living at Ventana Apartments and I love it! The staff is very friendly, helpful, and easy to get a hold of, either at the office or email. Maintenance requests are fulfilled very quickly. It’s in a great location and it’s easy to walk to the restaurants, shops, and movie theater right across the street. It is the best apartment I have lived at in San Antonio.
I am absolutely overjoyed with the experience we have had at Ventana! This is our first time apartment hunting and after many months of searching, Ventana sold us! Lisa is the most incredible agent and has been so considerate and patient with us. Always there to help us in any way! Beautiful property too and many amenities.
When we first moved in to Ventana we found that the staff and maintenance were exceptional. We could not have asked for better management and service moving into our first apartment. However, when we moved in, we found inconsistencies in the apartment: There was mold in our bathroom and kitchen cabinets even though the apartment was just renovated. The bathtub had a lot of grime, rust, and mold throughout the crevices and on the wall. Paint was also chipped off from the cabinets. The air filter for the bathroom made screeching noises (maintenance came by to fix it later on). The light switches have dark, green mold within the crevices. The ceilings also have black and brown stains as well as rust. For paying about a grand a month, the condition of the apartment could have been a lot better. A few months after our move in, we found our apartment was infested with rats. We had asked pest control to come by but they took days to come by and by that time we had caught the rats ourselves. Finally, maintenance had found where the rats were coming from and told us that they could not seal the wall fully (since it was behind the fridge) so that meant the rats could possibly come back. Each summer we experienced a manifestation of ants crawling from our bedroom window into the apartment. Keep in mind I am a neat freak and NEVER allowed food or drinks (only water) into the bedroom. Pest control came by when we asked, however, the ants returned every summer.On top of the inconsistencies of the apartment, the staff had gotten more rude throughout time. When we first moved in we had exceptional service. However, as time had gone by we hated calling into the office due to many rude interactions we had with the staff. If you are not a new client or customer they will treat you with no regard to customer service. Just today I called in and the person who answered treated me if I was a nuisance. Being a student and brand new to apartment leasing, a lot of the staff are very rude when I ask questions about my monthly payment or renewing my lease.I 10/10 do NOT recommend anyone moving here. The prices are way too high for the customer service that you are given, uncleanliness of the apartment, and the outdated apartment building. The only good part about the apartment are the maintenance who do an exceptional job and are always friendly.Will insert pictures of apartment soon.
I have lived her for almost 3 years. I love the girls in the front office. They are the sweetest and very professional. The maintenance guys come in asap when you follow protocol and put in a request online. The complex is really nice and quiet. Everyone is friendly. I love living at Ventana.
Ive been a tenant here for almost a year now, and my roommate and I have just renewed for another 5 months. We most likely will be moving out after that time period purely for logistical reasons. Overall, weve loved this apartment complex, the amenities are great (aside from the gym, which could use a little more ventilation), and the maintenance is prompt. Theres 5 days a week pickup for recycling. The only issues I could concern myself with is that our garage door has been faulty for the longest time, and we still have not gotten that fixed, and parking can sometimes be limited. Other than that, a great location, close to many places I can walk to as well. :)
I’ve never had such a great experience living in an apartment complex. The staff is so helpful and caring. The maintenance team is amazing and friendly. I definitely recommend this place to someone who wants to feel like they are home.
As soon as I went in to check these apartments out, I was sold. Great price, great look. Apartments have an extremely cozy feel and are updated despite the complex being a bit older. Shows that management actually has invested in their units to keep them working and relevant. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly which I find very rare when it comes to apartment complexes. Great management from Teresa and assistance from Cassie/Natoya!

Cons1)Poorly lit hallways2)A pungent smell(like that of the unused buildings occupied by bats)3) The fitness center and pool are similar to a single family home size, no more than 3 people can comfortably occupy at a time4) Building is too old to withstand any weather5)Noisy thermostat systems(similar to factories)6)The gap between doors and walls is so big that you can insert a small bunch of papers through the gap even if the door is locked. Obviously this gap will not keep your home in a normal temperature.7) Appliances are too old and rusted, not even better than some highway motels8)The gardens/tree areas never seem to be clean9)Uneven flooring in the common areaCons -Location - Opposite to Regal cinemas, Food outlets
The experience and service we received from Lisa was a breath of fresh air. After struggling to find an apartment in the area from out of state, Lisa helped us with her prompt and clear communication, which allowed us to transition smoothly. Of all the things to worry about in a cross-country move, having our apartment situation handled was not one of them because Lisa assisted us so diligently.
My fiancé and I have been searching for a place to call home for the next year. Ventana apartments is a beautiful place and I have nothing but great things to say about the leasing office. Lisa has been nothing short of helpful and patient with us , and we are so excited to be living in this complex for the next year!

Ive lived here for two years and am about to resign for my third year. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, they even carried my new mattress up three flights of stairs yesterday because it was too heavy for me. I didnt even have to ask, they just offered. The water shut offs are inconvenient, but the management have been much better about emailing and giving everyone a heads up before it happens. The area is close to everything, right in the heart of the north side, only a 15 min drive from downtown. I am so glad I found this place! Its decently priced, the service is good and anyone Ive met in the complex has been extremely nice, I love my neighbors! I would recommend this place to anyone!
We went to have a tour with Mrs Liza. When I say she was the most helpful and sweet person I mean it! We ended up looking at a few other places but with all the help and information we were given we decided to sign here. Lisa gave us all the information we needed, pricing, giving us the tour, as well as printing it all out so we could see the breakdown of costs, etc. We are so excited to move in this April!
Ive been looking to move for months, but something about this place did it for me - the search is over! Lisa was an amazing help and I had fun on my tour with her :) The people here are so genuine its a little shocking! I just signed my lease and Ill hopefully be updating this review in a few months, but seeing as how everyone has had a pretty great experience, I expect to just post more good things about it. We dont have 0 star option hence gave 1 star.I lived here for almost 2 years and believe me, it’s not worth at all. These OLD apartments are highly over priced for what you get. The price should really be $600 - $800 for a one bedroom, not ~$1000 - $1,200 for 1 Bedroom (675 Sq. ft). You can find something of much better quality for the same price in that same area.Reasons I will not recommend Ventana to anyone1. They charged 557 dollars for Gas stove. They think after staying for 2 years, Gas stove will stay as if it was on day1. Horrible. I was new to states and they asked heavy deposit initially. I think management don’t want to return deposit and they charged for Gas stove. Management has DOES NOT care attitude. They genuinely do not care about you once you leave. This is after we have paid heavy rent and with month on month extension @1350 for last month.2. Parking is worst here. I always struggled to get parking for my car after 6pm. If you go out even for 10-15 minutes, you must park outside in Future residents parking (Even though you are current resident)3. Water and electricity turns off whenever without notice4. Don’t believe on Management words, take everything in written from them. When we moved in we paid a deposit for a gate remote. We wrote a check and were assured it would be refunded 50% when we moved out. On final settlement, they just simple denied and said it was Fee and not deposit. Theyll make promises and wont keep their word.5. You must pay for valet trash and they dont pick up every day.6. The A/C units makes lot of noise.We never had any issues with maintenance.DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY and Look elsewhere!
I cant say enough about Ventana. I have lived here for almost 10 years and am in my 3rd unit. The office staff has always been so helpful, welcoming and fun. Jennifer and Teresa know me by name and always engage me in conversation. Pre-COVID, when my little nephew would come stay with me for the day, he would always ask to go to my office because the ladies would always give him snacks. A variety of food trucks are out in front of the office on a weekly basis. Recently, the office celebrated National Margarita Day, offering free beverages to the tenants. They have also been known to hand out breakfast tacos in the morning at the front and back gates as you head to work. Maintenance is on top of things! If you put in a request, the longest youll wait is 24 hours, but most of the time they are there within the day. Additionally, the location cannot be beat! You are just minutes from access to I-10, Regal Cinema is right across the street (just re-opened) and there are a lot of shops and restaurants in Huebner Oaks which is within walking distance. If you like Farmers Markets, Huebner Oaks hosts a large one every Saturday. Just a great place to live!UPDATE: What apartment complex do you know that will graciously gift you Southwest Airlines gift cards simply for being a valued tenant? Ventana of course! Thanks to their generous gift, me, my sister, and roommate spent 6 lovely days on the coast of Maui, Hawaii in November. Im not saying that everyone that lives here will receive airline gift cards, but what this does show is how much they love their tenants. Thank you so much to the Ventana management and office staff!
Horrible Staff. The place started off nice but went down hill from there due to cost cutting measures like lack of maintenance. My apartment flooded due to the drains not being maintained. The staff did not want to let me move to an unoccupied unit despite the fact that the carpet and walls were completely soaked. They were also completely rude during the time that we were having to deal with this problem. I had to get a lawyer involved and talk to corporate in order to get to a different unit. When we moved out of the unit the staff tried to keep my entire deposit plus several hundred dollars in charges. I asked for an itemized list of the charges they believed they were owed and they produced an inaccurate statement of charges. I contacted them and asked for an accurate statement they said they could but only if they reported me to collections. I told them that was fine but, according to Texas law, they are required to provide an accurate itemized statement within 30 days of moving out. They never produced the accurate itemized statement. Do not move here, the staff are cheats and liars and the place has gone to crap.
IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT LIVING HERE, DO IT.A friend/coworker moved here and recommended it to my boyfriend and I whenever our old lease was about to be up. We loved everything we saw online but knew sometimes looks can be deceiving so we wanted to do an in-person walk through. The units are exactly as pictured online. You can tell its an older apartment complex but with the recent renovations theres no complaints here. We signed our lease that day. rent is definitely appealing and location is perfect (close to gas stations, Jims, bar across the street, HEB, etc.). We will be renewing our lease here until we buy a house.
I have read these post and some are true and others were flat out lies, rude and mean.First off, the staff is very helpful. I saw that Lexi was mentioned on one of the post and might I say that she is the total opposite of what that post described. Since weve moved in she has helped us through out the entire process. She has gone above and beyond and is always willing to help. Kelly is very well informed and very helpful. She always has the right answer for us. I really havent dealt with the only guy that works there,so I cant comment on that.Secondly, the place is older, but I have personally seen the upgraded units and might I add, they look awesome. I am looking into moving into some in the summer. This place is a great place to live and the morning brunch once a month is a realy nice gesture. Most of the other apartments that I visited around the area were either run down and expensive or extremely expensive and very small. Ventana has turned out be just right. The location is great and there is a small shopping plaza in front with a movie theatre within walking distance. The prices are just right for the location and I couldnt be happier!
I have lived here going on 2 years and plan on renewing for a 3rd. The grounds here are beautiful, clean and well maintained. You get the feel of an actual community not an apartment complex. So many bars, restaurants and a huge Regal movie theater withing minutes of walking. I understand that some residents have issues and leave bad reviews....but I have had ZERO issues with my apartment or the Ventana staff. Always curtious and professional. Highly recommended!Also....if you DONT ACTUALLY LIVE HERE...DONT LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW.....stop being a Keyboard Karen!
This apartment is in an amazing location, which was the main reason we got it. It is across from bars and restaurants, and is very close to grocery shopping and other amenities.Overall, our apartment has been nice. Its not the highest quality materials, but it is nice enough. It was renovated before we moved in, and they did a good job with the floors, carpets, etc. We have a 2b/2b with a garage, and it is plenty of space.Overall, the staff is very professional and kind (Priyanka is amazing!) and the maintenance staff are quick and polite.There are a couple small things I would change ....First, for common areas to be fixed (eg, maintenance or upkeep to the gym or fixing the gates), it takes a couple tries to the point of nagging. Its a large community, though, and some of those may not be a priority above making sure the residents homes are up to par.It is also pretty expensive. I wouldnt say its overpriced, but it definitely isnt a good deal. There are extra fees, too, like the valet trash, which I would prefer not to pay, but are included in the price regardless.Last, a lot of non-residents seem to roam the area, which can get noisy at night sometimes. Besides the noise, it is bothersome because some of the non-residents use the gym and pools.Overall, it has been a good renting experience. We will live here until we move again or until we know were staying long enough to buy, as buying is on par price-wise with renting in the SA area.

They genuinely do not care about you.2) The complex is over 20 years old so each floor plan is outdated and obsolete. If the location suits you then consider the apartments next to it. They were recently built in 2017-2018. Dont be fooled by the renovations and new appliances, its a pig with lipstick.3) Roaches, roaches, and more roaches.4) The price for this old complex is not worth your hard earned money. You can find something of much better quality for the same price in that same area.5) My apartment was flooded on several occasions, to the point where the paint and wood were erroding. Guess what they did to fix it? Painted over it.6) Save yourself time and money and find something other than this place. For some their experiences were fine because nothing went wrong. However, do you want peace of mind that if something does go wrong youll have the support and reliability of your complex? If your answer is yes, then steer far from this place. You have been warned.

Ventana Apts are very well maintained with beautiful trees and grounds. It is a peaceful and tranquil place with a No-nonsense attitude. The entire staff is very friendly, helpful and DOG friendly. I have been here 2 1/2 years and hope to stay for many more......
I would love to give Ventana Apartments a better rating because it was a good, decent home for two years, but I cant because I feel cheated out of money due to me. When we moved in we paid a deposit for a gate remote. We wrote a check and were assured it would be refunded when we moved out. We handed in our keys and the gate remote upon moving out and asked when we would be refunded for the gate remote deposit. We were told that management had changed and they were no longer refunding the deposits, but that she would talk to the manager, Theresa, and see about it. She added that Theresa had been refunded some of them recently. We called Ventana today to follow-up, and we were told that it was not a deposit we paid, but instead it was a fee for the gate remote, and that it would not be refunded. I would not have paid a fee for the gate key two years ago had I known we would not get our money back as promised. I feel swindled.
Office staff is amazing and very informative. complex is super clean and looking great with all the trees!
This community is very welcoming with great hospitality especially from their manager Teresa. She was very informative, honest and professional. The community is well kept and seems they always have events going on. Highly recommend it here and if you need help ask for Teresa!
Just moved into these apartments and so far none of the promises from the apartment itself have been kept. My roommates and I signed a lease a month ago which allows access to a pool and a 24 hour gym. So far the pool has been closed for ”cleaning” every day and the gym isn’t open. We were also told that the front gate would have a magnetic strip to automatically open the gates and that it would be two weeks before they were up and running but here we are a month later and nothing has been done. My apartment is about 25 feet from the second gate but it doesn’t open so we have to drive around the entire complex just to get home every day. The people in the front office have lied to our faces about their promises and looking through the other reviews this is apparently very common. While we were in the office to sign some papers we were told the gates were being fixed at that very moment but still nothing. I went to use the gym today and got kicked out as soon as I got there because they have to lock the doors to the “24 hour gym”. If I had any Idea how bad these apartments were I never would’ve moved here but they did a good enough job covering their lies and now I’m contractually stuck here for a year. Can’t wait for my lease to end.

This community is extremely beautiful, well kept and peaceful community.The manager Teresa and staff are always very professional and helpful. The management team is always having different vendors and events for the residents.
Lived here for over 4 years now and the new owners are WAY better than the old (they actually seem to care). Still some issues, though.PROSOffice staff is almost always amazingly nice and helpful!Maintenance staff is prompt and also nice :)Locks on the mail house.Has a small dog park on premise.Surrounded by natural greenery. This is a HUGE plus! They are like the only apartment complex in the area for which this is true. The new complex next door is concretetopia, who the heck wants to just live surrounded by concrete and asphalt?Because they have actual vegetation, you get to see some cool wildlife. Ive seen possums, snakes, skunks, owls (they are super cool to hear occasionally at night), cardinals, doves, other various birds, and even a deer once.Good communication about water shut-offsPretty chill attitude overall.Parking right next to your apartment can sometimes be tricky if you get in late, but Ive personally never had to walk more than one or two buildings over and I frankly like that theres no dedicated visitor parking so folks visiting dont need to panic about it. If youre really concerned, you can pay a bit extra for a garage or protected spot.CONSRent price keeps increasing.Some problems they never fix. My sisters window has leaked ever since shes been here for 6 years. Shes repeatedly requested, both for the old owners and the new, to have it fixed. Sent official letters and everything. It still is not fixed.Some maintenance guys tore some wood off the building and the shards ended up literally spearing one of my sisters plants outside on our porch. We were given no warning about this work occurring beforehand. They hurt the one plant and broke one of her pots. The office said they would cover the cost for a new flower pot. They still have not several months later.Some problems they fix, but not completely. Had a tile fall off the wall in my bathroom. Asked to get it put back. They came and put it back quickly, but didnt reseal the horizontal sides (just the vertical sides). This means there is an opening between the tiles, so water can get back there and will likely lead to it falling back off soon/mold.Theyre not so great about communicating certain things. How they handled the parking lot repaint was pretty poor and could have been fixed by softening the language and giving more advanced notice.Lots of dog owners here do NOT clean up after their dogs. We live on a bottom floor below a staircase. Many owners let their dogs poop above next to our apartment, probably because its next to a wooded path and not another building. This means it stinks to high heaven when going up and down the stairs to get to the parking lot after it rains. Management has sent out letters about this, but not really driven home to the owners that they need to pick up after their dogs EVERYWHERE on-site, even if it is in one of the wooded areas (stress on wooded areas). They also never list the penalties for not doing so, so folks keep abusing this.Lots of dog owners also let their dogs off their leases. Small dog owners seem to think that if its small, its no big deal if it barks and runs at you. That is aggressive behavior and it needs to be on a lease if it does that! Even if your dog is genuinely friendly, if it rushes people and you cant verbally prevent it from doing so, keep it on a lease. Many owners dont seem to get this. And have ignored the emails from management.Traffic to get anywhere outside of the complex is absolutely miserable during rush hour times (4:30PM - 6:30PM). And with the new apartment complex opening up next door, this is only going to get worse. Absolute nightmare.The locks on the mail house seem to break fairly often.Walls are pretty darned thin. It is an older complex, but even so, can occasionally have issues hearing loud music and people coming and going or just using the shower.They are a little obsessed reminding you that you have to have your pool pass now to access the pool (the pool pass never used to be a thing, which I preferred)
Ventana is a beautiful place! Clean, nice pool and amenities. Lisa Plata toured us and she was amazing! Payed special attention to detail. She is very funny, easy going and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. If you’re looking for a home where the office staff cares, call Lisa at Ventana!
Weve only been here about a month but our experience has been very pleasant. The price is amazing for the quality of management and staffing. The maintenance team is fast and efficient. The community is quiet but friendly. Our dogs have even made some new great friends at the dog park.
The service was amazing and Lisa in particular. She was extremely helpful, professional and courteous. She helped me complete all the necessary task in such a timely fashion and was so welcoming that the entire experience was one of the least stressful moving experiences I have ever had. Thanks Lisa!
Ventana... ventana...ventanaIt means Windows in Spanish, windows is what the apartment has, the place is nice, the area is even better, ventana places You at a nice junction at huebner oaks.The two pools are rarely used and always clean.Maintenance is hands down, one of the best turn around times Ive had.The place is beautiful, I am surrounded by nature. Theres is a group of Foxes that wonder about.The place is Iconic and it rivals a lot of other different apartment in this area at the price range.But alas, some things so have to be fixed for a 100 satisfaction experience.Parking, honestly parking sucks... Too many people, not enough spaces. The issue starts with random people showing up and leaving their cars on a spot for 2-6 days.The business office not being 24/7 ( like really ? )Honestly, the place is quiet and nice. People are friendly.No weird groups, I guess the car people. Theres a lot of Subarus out here, like these dudes will weld on a muffler during the rain type of Subaru owners.And we got A random Porsche, that gets worked on by this young kid.And then theres a Maserati guy, that washes his car every other day.The place is nice, its actually the most fun I had in a facility like this, I feel accomplished and successful just from my surroundings. No dog barking, no Loud music, No fights, No drugs. The area is good.TL/DR : Its worth the money for the experience and quality.

Welcoming and wonderful staff and community. Chelsey was amazing answering all my questions promptly before and after my move in. Maintenance response is phenomenal, I have not had to wait on anything once a request is submitted. Beautiful and quiet atmosphere, very well kept, and people friendly!
I just received a job offer and was looking for apartments. On such short notice they were able to assist me in finding a place to live; having an opening soon, they were able to assist in the application process. It was fast and easy. Frankly, living here in our Ventana apartment has more than met our every need. When something goes haywire, which isn’t often, it is quickly taken care of by the friendly and competent staff. Reasonably priced and right in the middle of everywhere, I love living at Ventana Apartments. Its so close to shopping centers, superstores, movie theaters and supermarkets. You name it, its close to everything. Its even easy to hop on I 10 to go to loop 410 or to loop 1604. The complex is nicely surrounded by tall trees so it will seem private and secluded. Fixtures arent the newest , maintenance might require a reminder call, and the recycling is sometimes spotty (not Ventanas fault though) - I still enjoy living here. What really impresses me are the office staff. They are absolutely wonderful and professional and they try their best to help you. I definitely recommend you give this place a look.
I refuse to live here more than this one year. This place has never been called home. Its the apartment or nightmare. For the last year weve delt with a number of issues. 1st our apartment flooded the first night we were there. It again flooded a week later in the same area. Parking.... I come home later like in the am my apartment is in the very back corner. Ive had to park at the theater. There is a red car that has been sitting in the same spot since before we moved in. We were told as long as it has an update registration there was nothing they could do. It expired in June. We were told they were getting reserved parking spots and because of all our trouble we would get the first month free. Those spots never happened why???? They needed more handicap spots. No extra spots were put in and when we questioned it suddenly they found a space in a port. Out of the year we have lived here the gate has been broken at least half of it. A huge crack appeared in the master bedroom and let in all sorts of ants. We were told dont worry well fix it when you move out. We hadnt decided to move til we were told that. The worse yet the dog upstairs. Always barking and crying. We learned to sleep with headphones on. Nothings been done. Weve gone to the office to complain several times. We were told there was no deposit on the dog and it was a restricted breed that shouldnt be there. Its still there. We dont like being in the apartment because of that. As I said this has not been home . I encourage anyone thinking of renting this apartment think long and hard your are going to be paying for a home. Will you really get it here? We didnt.
I have been living here for over three years! One thing I can say is I feel safe and at home! Anytime I have a issue the office and maintenance is helping out ASAP! I had to experience upstairs neighbors being loud and just annoying and the office worked with me and helped me with the issue! I am happy living here and I am sure you will be too!!And the office staff is amazing!!!!! 😀
Lived here since 2012 and its been great!! my FAV about it is the location to all the shopping and restaurants (walking distance). Staff has been great with issues, maintenance guys have been quick for repairs. Property could use some upgrades (they have started). Typical Friday night for my wife and I, Walk to a restaurant for dinner, walk to watch a movie and finish at the flying saucer for drinks. Fun place to live!!
If I could give this apartment complex negative stars I would my apartment flooded due to the fact that their foundation is flawed water came up through my floor through the foundation almost 3 inches we were told it was an act of God even though it was due to the negligence of the company so we were not compensated for moving we were not compensated for lodging we were told if we needed somewhere to stay while our apartment was flooded we would have to pay for it ourselves the front office staff lied to my insurance adjuster and told her it was a backed up drain inside our apartment and treated us like absolute dirt Teresa is the worst property manager and their front office staff is just atrocious all the girls are snobby and rude and could care less about any of the problems you have all they want to do is give you attitude . Every time it rains the water came in through my windows down the walls , there are ants and roaches everywhere and none of the back sliding doors lock . This place maybe in a great location and look great from the outside but its absolutely disgusting on the inside and the management staff pushes it over the top absolutely horrible I would never recommend this apartment to anyone not even my worst enemy
Touring your apartments was a pleasant experience. The agent, Lisa was very informative and a pure delight. She was very professional and friendly when my daughter and I toured.
Living here has me spoiled. The amenities here are above and beyond. Accessibility to stores, restaurants, movie theater, and more in walking distance.It is quite, clean, and cozy. Trash and recycling picked up at your doorstep. The office staff is ALWAYS treating us with breakfast, lunch, barbecue, ice cream, pizza, birthday celebration monthly, I could go on and on. To sum it up, I love it here!!! ❤
I have lived here for over five years and I love the location. Shopping, dining, and even a theater are all within walking distance. There are two HEBs less than a 5 minute drive away, and so much more.
Ive lived here for over 5 years. Never had any real problems. Any maintenance issues have always been quickly resolved, new staff members are really nice. Easy access to I-10, shops, restaurants, movies. I would recommend to anyone.
I never even moved into this apartment complex and I can tell you don’t even waste your time. The leasing agents are misinformed and the manager did not even have the decency to call me back. So, please look for an apartment place elsewhere or else your time and money will be wasted. And fair warning reptiles are NOT allowed.UPDATE: The manager called me back and apologized for the whole situation. She also gave me a number for a an apartment hunter.
Low grade accommodations for premium prices. This complex is hot garbage. Theres little to no hot water. Some genius decided to install a cleanout vent above the shower so during your showers you have icy cold water dripping on you. If that wasnt enough the cleanout drip eventually caused the bath tub to rust. The parking is a joke, the spaces are nowhere near big enough. About 95% of the time I have to park in handicap spots. The landscaping is an illusion, theres dog excrement everywhere you step. The walls are paper thin, I constantly get woken up by people above me and below me. They use cheap hinges on doors which cause them to slam. Laundry room has highly outdated equipment and is over priced. The water is Super Hard. Calcium build up and water deposits on everything! I went through multiple gate clickers. A $5 fob that they charge you $50 for. The gate commonly breaks and remains broken for weeks at a time. Maintenance team shows up late and leaves early.I implore anyone looking for an apartment to cross this one off your list. Its not worth the headache. The location is really the only thing that is even remotely appealing, that is if you like traffic jams. Big THUMBS DOWN to Ventana 👎
I been renting for the last 16 years , had a home but sold to move from my home town and found this as the very best expierence ever , ease , and no suprises. Any time we submit a work order taken care right away. The amenties are great, gym , dog park, and love the apartment.

I just moved out in November and first off they had mold in the air ducts giving me breathing and health issues they didn’t do anything for 3 weeks once we reported it (they should check before exposing people to that sort of thing)The apartments were decent but had structure issues doors wouldn’t stay open and the a/c went out for two weeks and nothing was done in the meantime nor were we offered a window unit (85 degree inside apt temp). Maintenance was nice and responsive but didn’t seem to want to really fix anything just band aid it over till it falls in the next guys lap. I’m only giving a 1 bc of the black mold they exposed me to for who knows how long probably then entire time otherwise I’d give a 3.
I was not impressed with this complex. The prices are outrageous for what you actually get. You could live at the RIM for the same price. I have two dogs, an Australian Shepherd and a rescue mut. The leasing agent proceeded to advise me my Aussie was not permitted to be on the property! REALLY?!?!?! Australian Shepherds are the best dogs. So I asked to see her list of breed restrictions, guess what breed was not on there. My Australian Shepherd was not on the list but the Australian Cattle dog was! Two COMPLETELY different dogs. She proceeded to argue with me that they were both Australian and not allowed but she could ask her property manager about it. I got up and walked out. I would not to live somewhere that the front office staff is that dumb! Do your research before you argue with me
Lisa was very helpful and nice to me and my girlfriend. The property was beautiful and looked like it’s kept pretty clean. It’s definitely a strong possibility for a place for us to live. Thanks again Lisa!
I lived there for 6 years and everything was great until the property was sold and a new management company took over. The property is old so there would be problem with water, electricity. etc but none on them were handled well. Reporting issues into the ticket system was problematic. But once the maintenance staff go to work they were great. The office staff never seemed to follow through.
I came and looked at apartments and toured with Lizet. She was very friendly and answered every question I had. I had a brief conversation with the other girls inside the office as well and they were all were extremely inviting and nice.
DO NOT MOVE HERE....Constantly having issues. Was in the shower today and water was suddenly turned off. I had to rinse off with bottled water...thank god i had some. Come to find out another apartment in another building was having water issues so they turn off the water to the ENTIRE complex!!! Ridiculous. This is the 5th time it has happened in a year. Last time the water was off for 8 hours....8 HOURS!! So far today its been off for 5.5 hrs and all youll get from the office is sorry....not a discount for the inconvenience. Not having water to drink, bathe or being able to flush a toilet is more than an INCONVENIENCE!! You should not have to pay full rent if you have to drive to the gas station to use the bathroom!!! Only a ghetto apartment complex has to turn off the water to 30 buildings to fix ONE APARTMENT SHOWER!! This in addition to losing electricity when it sprinkles, dog poop everywhere and little to no parking after 5pm.
Lisa is a wonderful leasing consultant. We couldn’t find anything in our budget within our move in date but she kindly gave us all the information we needed. I hope to lease here in the future. :))
I would have to agree with everything Derek Ellis said in his review and in addition add to it:The pet policies state you must clean up after your pets and people consistently do not clean up after the pets and there seems to be NO course of action to fix this issue. Multiple times myself or my dogs have accidentally walked through someone elses dog poop because there are no lights in most of the grassy areas and its disgusting. I also see several tenants letting their dogs out without a leash, just standing by their door until their dog is done and then not picking up the dogs poop. As a responsible pet owner I find this very frustrating and rude. Its not only gross, but its a safety issue to have your dog outside without a leash. I dont know what kind of behavior anyones elses dog is capable of, nor do they know my dogs behavior. It makes it unsafe due to the risk of a potential dog fight.I would also like to say, that with the exception of Priyanka (she is always so nice) the office staff is very rude. Always seems to bother them if you go in to pick up a package or call them about any issues.Speaking of packages, I rarely get any notifications when I have a package in the office.
Amazing staff, beautiful apartments. if you want go see in apartment ask for Tomas. He is amazing and super super nice and very understandable, professional, I love working with this guy. Definitely referring anyone to him.
I had a tour of the apartments with Lizet and she was amazing. She showed me corner to corner of the apartment and the apartment was beautiful. She was so informative and patience with all the questions and concerns I had.
Ive been living here for nearly a year and Im definitely planning to stick around longer. The staff has been incredible, the maintenance crew is nice and respond quickly, and the apartment itself is dope.

Nice location with pathatic staff, I had repair staff come in and ran away with some of my wifes jewellery, to add to the matter the response from Office Managment was rude and pathatic. We managed to survive their for an year until once again the staff ran away with my bike parked right outside the door. Guess what!! To my surprise I found the bike at a pawn shop a mile away from complex. Wont recomend to anyone but would suggest to avoid living their

Great apartment complex with wonderful staff. My wife and I were unexpectedly gifted a bunch of baby clothes, toys, and books by the apartment complex staff. It was so unexpected and we felt so at home in this community. Great apartment complex!!

The parking situation was a complete mess. Mail theft was a frequent issue here and the front office was completely unresponsive to it. I had a jury summons stolen straight out of my mailbox the front office tried to blame the Post Office. I asked family members who had worked for USPS if this was the responsibility of the Post Office or my landlord, and they confirmed it was the landlord who was being negligent.
Ventana is a very beautiful community with great scenery. Chelsey was very helpful in answering all my questions. Overall great experience. Would definitely recommend coming here and talking to Chelsey!

The water is off every week because they don’t get plumbers to fix old pipes only make the maintenance ppl do it. Last time a huge broken pipe that made water and mud that smells all over the lot and they still don’t clean up the mess or fell the hole. I have to walk thru it. Nasty!! Every apt’s water was off from 3:00 PM ~ 9:20PM on that day. Omg today again. What’s wrong this time?Update: The water off all today not back on at 1PM like promised. Now she says 5pm max but it’s after 5PM. None of the office ppl care that we can’t shower or go to the bathroom in our homes all day long. No discounts for we don’t have water.

This is has been a good place to live. The staff is friendly and quick to answer any problems or requests. The property is well kept and its quiet. The location is greatly positioned near shopping, parks, a library and multiple HEBs.
Hey, I’m trying to tell everyone! Go out to Ventana Apt’s and check Teresa Heeney out! She is the best apartment manager in CENTEX and she will make all then other property managers around CENTEX look raggedy. I give her ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ just because her managerial skills are on fleek!
I so enjoy all interactions with the office staff, especially with Priyanka, Jennifer & Evelyn! They are all a big part of why my husband and I love being a part of this community.
Staff are great and very willing to help. Location is great. Rent is reasonable. Parking can be a bit tight depending on where you live . My fav are those very old trees meaning ample shade at summer times.

Very unorganized ladies in the front office dont know anything about any information I am trying to find a place and they keep giving me different kinds of information. Very unprofessional . Completely waste of time. Over priced for a tiny apartment

My time here so far has been great! Maintenance requests are always answered very promptly. Parking can be frustrating but overall I love it here.
Everyone knows, ventana is Spanish for window. What you may not know is, its Latin for not my problem, a value that staff makes very clear at every interaction. Then they respond to my complaint with a excuse for the one short coming they can blame on a holiday.

Its like any other apartments, subject to rising housing costs and lower quality of housing. Its somewhere to live and be. Thankfully its located near everything an average person would need.

Called about an apt and had to go through a million questions wait and wait all so the guy could tell me they dont have what Im looking for. Why ask me all those questions if you know you dont have what Im looking for. So annoying!
