Verano At The Heights Apartments

Ive been living here a little under 2 years now and have been very happy with my experience. It seems whatever issues provoked bad reviews in past years have been much improved upon as Ive had no such issues. I started living here as a Trinity college student and it was a great option for me. The staff are friendly, personable, and responsive. Theyre very prompt about maintenance, and the maintenance guy is very chill. Not only has the price been affordable, but has stayed the same- no mysterious price hikes. Its also good location close to many things (target, discount tire, HEB, whataburger) while still having a bit of a cozy neighborhood feeling. Unless I plan to move out of town, I have felt no reason to leave this apartment building.

Since they got the new maintenance man, Patrick, things have really turned around here. It used to be that the water would be out almost every other week for several hours, now maybe once every couple months for a few minutes. Melonye, the manager, is also helpful and responsive. The major downfall of this apartment is that there is no laundry in the 1bds. I keep renewing my lease because I really cant find anything better for the price point.

Good reception, but building features and amenities are outdated.I posted the above review when the previous receptionist / building manager was there and I had recently moved in. The water from shower gets sandy, the place is mold infested. I signed 6 month lease twice with the agreement that they would fix the apartment which they never did. I was never able to use the 2nd toilet for the 1 year I was there. And also do not expect to get your full deposit back.

Been living here a couple of months and it really sucks. The staff is rude, can never find her, and has no idea about anything. The A/c has broken twice since weve been here. We received the apt with cracked tile, dirty tub, very cheap diy upgrades and the hot water is unreliable. They told me about the dog restrictions here and I was highly disappointed. Said No aggressive breeds. Well three different families here own dogs on the restriction list. If I knew that before I wouldnt have asked and gotten a pitbull anyway. The walls here are VERY thin. The apt vibrates when people walk up the stairs. I can hear planes, cars, chickens, and dogs CONSTANTLY! Resting here is very limited. I wouldnt advice anyone to live here. Constant disappointment.

Do NOT rent from these people. they are Huge scam artists. They will call vendors from Craigslist. They will ask us to do a basic clean for $75 and then get upset because they did not get a deep clean which costs $150!!! We then asked for payment and she refused because it wasnt DEEP cleaned when she did NOT pay for that. We will be leaving reviews on ALL the sites for this community. Shame on you Melanie. All calls are recorded and we WILL be sending the recordings to your superior where you asked for a basic clean and then the following call where you got upset because it wasnt deep cleaned. Theres a reason all the reviews for this community are awful and her name is Melanie. These reviews will be deleted when we are paid for the basic clean she ordered PLUS she got the inside fridge and baseboards scrubbed at no extra charge because she threw such a hissy fit

I would Not recommend this place to my worst enemy. It is a highly dangerous place to live. Vehicles get broken in frequently. Mold in the apartments , leaks , theres never hot water, maintainace dont have a clue how to fix anything!!!! Landlord dont follow up with requests I dont even know what the hell she does for work in this place other than to remind you of rent. They dont care about your safety or wellbeing whats so ever! Do t get fooled by these people!!! Dont say I didnt warn you.

I would not recommend this place at all. They made me pay for a damaged window I did not break, the apartments are full of ants, theres leaks in some apartments that will affect your rent. I dislike this place and I would never rent an apartment there anymore. There are better places for the amount youll be paying there.

My sister has lived here for several years. Its a nice quiet community and the units are spacious. If youre in the market for an apartment, I highly recommend.

Worst place Ive ever lived in ! Something is always wrong here!. The water stops running very freakently , the laundary washers dont work they dont dry well .its ridiculous ! I wouldnt recommend this place either.

Price was very affordable and the rental agent was very polite and attentive

Never had any problems with neighbors or the owners great place to live
