The staff at the Baldwin have always been top notch. Adina, Sophie, Marissa, & Renee especially. For the two years I’ve lived there, they made the place feel like a community. I really enjoyed their presence for that.
My vehicle has been broken in 4 times now. The lack of security is horrible in the garage. I was told that the property owners did not want to spend money on overnight security 7 days a week. Many other vehicles have been broken in as well and some have been stolen. It doesnt help that the security gates up front and in the 3rd level have not been operating about 2 months now. I had to be alias so the front office wont dislike me... Something needs to be done!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGHHHHHH
UPDATE: I have spoke with management and they are aware of the situation. They have put in place weekend security as well as nightly patrol. They are also looking at putting cameras on all levels that would be monitored 24/7. Glad to see they are taking action to combat theft.Great apartment complex but parking garage lacks security. My truck was broken into 6 days ago, then another vehicle had the window smashed and broken into the next day. Just this morning YET another vehicle with a busted window right next to the other car, reported it immediately with SAPD. Talked with a fellow resident to learn their vehicle was broken into a month ago as well. Gates are constantly broken and there are no cameras in the garage expect for the main entrance. Cameras need to placed on ALL levels to help prevent theft and there needs to be nightly security hired to patrol the garage. If nothing is done this is just gonna become a recurring thing.
UPDATED ON 4/22/22Josh has left the premises and Alexis and Gina have taken over. Ever since the girls have been primarily in charge, everything has been seamless. They are so quick to respond, they get things done so fast, and they truly care about everyones experience here on the property. I have never lived anywhere that made me feel like management cares about me, but these girls have done that. Alexis helps make the quality of life better by setting up events and getting food trucks and trying to set up any request that you send in. Gina is also quick to make sure the property stays safe by sending out updates, making sure the property is clean, setting up nightly patrol and sending requests up the ladder.Ive been very happy with my experience dealing with them. I hope they go far in this industry because they are the best at what they do.POST HAS BEEN UPDATED ON 1/21/22 to show photos from our THIRD break in since our 8 months of living here.This complex would be great if they cared more about security. A few months ago my boyfriends back window on his car was broken and when we let the front office know, they did nothing about it. It happened inside our garage. There was no action taken and nobody ever followed up like they said they would. Last night I opened my car door and everything from my center console was in my drivers seat. Our gate leading into our section of the garage has been broken for the last few days so it could have been someone who came off the street. Its so frustrating that these incidents keep happening. I am hoping that with this review and with the email that I sent, management will realize that they need to do something so people dont keep getting away with these things. There are no cameras so we will never know who did these things. I hope management takes action after this.Updated to say that I just had the absolute worst interaction with the manager who basically had nothing good to say about this situation. He told me that if we all locked our doors then people wouldnt come here to break in to our cars... but my boyfriends window was busted? He also said if they put cameras in the garage that we still wouldnt find the person who did it because there are two million people in San Antonio.Josh is the manager and he hasnt been of any help in the past and I dont expect him to be of any help in the future. I would steer clear from this place until new management is put in place who actually cares about their tenants and is willing to go above and beyond to help them.
I recently visited The Baldwin for a tour and was extremely disappointed by the treatment I received. As an active duty military member with 21 years of service, I was taken back by the refusal to allow me to tour the facility because I only have a Florida drivers license extension and a military ID due to living overseas for 13 years and finally having the chance to be back in America. The employee claimed my ID was fraudulent and refused to provide any assistance or escalate the matter to a manager.It’s disheartening that an apartment complex in San Antonio, a city largely made up of military personnel, would treat a service member in this manner. I have never encountered such a dismissive and uncaring attitude in all my years of service and travels. My military ID is a legitimate form of identification, and to have it called into question and be denied service was both insulting and frustrating. I toured 12 other apartments with the same system, and was not turned away by anyone.This experience left me feeling deeply disrespected and unwelcome. I hope this review will make others aware of the way military personnel are treated at the Baldwin and encourage the management to address this issue promptly. No one, especially those who serve and protect our country, should have to endure such poor treatment

This is a great place to live! Love the location and how quiet it is. Only been here a little while but I am very happy with the choice we made. Our view of downtown is amazing too. The staff is friendly and are always helpful.
I’ve been renting since 2015 and this was by far the best apartment living experience I’ve ever had. I also had the best move out experience, I really liked their hassle free move out option which you can pay for them to clean the apartment. All you have to do is worry about moving your belongings out as long as you didn’t leave any damages to the unit you will more than likely get your entire deposit back as I did. This was a first for me as other apartment complexes always managed to charge me some ridiculous fee for your average wear and tear of living there or for not “cleaning properly” for move out. In my opinion it’s the best option economically and you don’t have to worry about not meeting the complex’s expectations of how clean you’re suppose to leave the unit.
I love it here. After nearly 4 years in this apartment, I am moving out, and its incredibly bittersweet. The only reason Im moving is Im relocating cities. Living at the Baldwin has been such a joy - great location, wonderful management, nice amenities. The pool, gym and clubhouse are always clean and inviting. I feel safe once Im inside the parking garage/building. I have so many fond memories here. The staff go above and beyond. Any issues I ever had were dealt with promptly and professionally. The facilities team is fantastic. Gina the Community Manager is amazing. I could not ask for a better place to rent!!! Highly recommend.
Great amenities and location. Maintenance staff is friendly and always greeting me. I have lived here for 7 months and enjoying living in the St. Paul district and being downtown. The front office staff is attentive and communicates well with its tenants. Lexi is the best and so friendly. Pretty cool they are doing more community events at the complex. Highly recommend
When I first moved in a year ago I was awoken multiple nights in a row to what I found out to be someone drifting on the roof of the parking garage. Within the first few weeks, I had a weird feeling as to whether or not I remembered to lock my door at night. Shortly after going to sleep, I heard the door open, saw a phone flashlight turn on and someone walk towards me. Some guy walked into my room and said I had invited him over. He seemed drunk and confused and after the fact I was glad I did not use force against him. When moving out I was told my rent would be prorated for an additional 10 days I had added on. Of course they charged the full rent and I knew if I didn’t pay there would be a late fee as a few months before I had my account auto draft my rent amount but they had included an additional tax service fee so rather than withdraw what was scheduled the system did not withdraw anything and they charged me a late fee. It has been almost 2 months since I moved out and I still have not received my refund which was expected to take 30 days (already ridiculous to take that long). The front office really seems to have difficulty responding to emails in a timely manner. Aside from that I did like the amenities and the community events that were hosted. Lastly, I signed the apartment lease unseen as I had moved from Florida. They didn’t mention it was a handicap unit with a different floor plan, microwave, hand rails all over the shower and bathroom, etc.
We absolutely love our new home at The Baldwin!! The leasing staff was friendly and prompt with all questions during leasing, and always with a follow up from the Property Manager. We’ve been there since February and even through the city lock down, there’s been a strong sense of community. The leasing team has done a great job handling an unprecedented situation, keeping us informed and enforcing safety measures. The property speaks for itself with the upscale amenities and there is so much to enjoy in the city within walking distance or jumping on a scooter! We will definitely be staying here at least a couple of years.
I cannot recommend the Baldwin enough. Its a beautiful complex, and the apartments are nice. This complex is not immune from things that happen in every apartment. But what it has that other apartments dont is its staff. I have lived here for four years - I remember how friendly and helpful Gina was back then when I came to view the apartment. Four years later, and they still are so friendly and so helpful! I tried moving out, and had a HORRIBLE experience with the other complex. Lexi, Patti, and Gina did everything they could to help me apply and get settled into a new apartment in literal days. Maintenance request are always timely handled. Genuinely, I wont try moving out again. You wont find staff that care as much as the staff from here.
LOVE this place!!! People are super nice. The staff is AMAZING! VERY pleased and grateful to be a resident :) Never felt so safe living somewhere.
I have lived here for the past 11 months and it has been amazing. The maintenance is on top of it and any issues were addressed right away. Lexi (in the front office) is my go to gal and always answers any questions plus she organizes great social events. 10/10 recommend living here, they just replaced the pool furniture and cleaned the carpets thus you can see they are on TOP OF IT!
This is long but bare with me. I LOVE this place. I had been searching for apartments for over a year in preparation to move to Texas. I hadnt seen these apartments listed online so when I was visiting San Antonio and saw this building I knew I needed to check it out. I read the reviews and a few angry ones stuck out to me, but I figured I would check it out for myself. I called and Gina was able to meet with me that same day. Gina was an absolute dream to work with, she was always communicating with me and making sure I had what I needed to get this dream apartment. Now about the apartment itself: from the amenities to the apartment unit, I have never loved an apartment more than I do this one. In unit washer/dryer, gated & covered parking, high security, a concierge mail system, beautiful pool and outdoor areas, a dog park, close to downtown but still quiet & peaceful - these are just a few of the many amenities that make this place such a dream. Last but not least a special shout to Gina, she is always available and happy to help with whatever I may need. If youre considering moving here, do it!
From the phone call to the first meeting, Gina was truly a delight. She and Adam were so informative and professional, and it helped make my decision to live at the Baldwin very easy. After looking at many many places, we decided on the Baldwin for its convenience, amenities, and safety. I would and have recommended the Baldwin to anyone looking for a place to live. Now living there, I can honestly say, it was the best decision we made. We love living there and am thankful for Gina and Adam in helping us throughout the whole process!
Horrible customer service. The office staff is terrible. The apartments are nice…I was being to kind the management staff is so incompetent and lazy words can describe there behavior.They decided to charge me to replace the carpet instead of getting it cleaned. They were to lazy to let me know about the spot, it would have taken all of 5 minutes to clean it. The cleaning crews missed it, but this is par for the course. They have lied and done many other things. What a joke.
The Baldwin, a really nice place. But the staff VERY RUDE. No customer service skills. They need to train them how to better serve people. I’m a 15 year veteran and still active (CW2) in the Texas Army National Guard and I’m also a police officer. If anything the apt complex would benefit by having a police officer with a police car on premises, But I felt very alienated by the unprofessional treatment I got. Long story short, I applied for an apt that was deemed a special type rental that you have to make a maximum amount per year not to exceed 66k a year. No where is it mentioned when I applied. $75 application fee later. My application was never sent to the proper approving source. It was denied by the poor customer service rep (Soup Sandwich) they employe there. If I would have known that it is a special rent initiative, I wouldn’t have applied. And I would have saved my $75bucks. They should tell you this info on their application process. Now they have all my personal information.Hopefully the owners or supervisors improve what’s lacking customer service. I hate places like this that treat people poorly by the lack of people skills personal they employ.
I have been living at the Baldwin for a year now, and just recently upgraded from a studio to a 1 bed, 1 bath. I love living here! The entire leasing staff and custodial team are absolutely amazing and so accommodating. Gina assisted me with the transition to a bigger unit this time around and she couldn’t have made the process any smoother than it was! She truly goes above and beyond for the residents and I’m so grateful for all that she does! I highly recommend checking out the Baldwin for anyone looking to live in the downtown area!
Absolutely love!!! My husband and I have lived here seven months. We were relocated to San Antonio last minute for his job and the application and leasing process took less than two weeks. The leasing staff has been exceptional, especially compared to any apartment Ive lived at before. Our unit had never been lived in, so everything was nice and clean. I can hear the upstairs neighbors pretty well (although I think theyre extra noisy), but I cant hear our next-door neighbors at all. The area is very pet-friendly. We have a one-year old dog and hes made lots of friends. It may not be the best choice if you dont like animals.There are resident events each month, and the office occasionally gives away tickets to events around town. The apartment is walking distance from a lot of areas.Weve had no major maintenance issues, and any minor maintenance requests have been taken care of within two days. With any apartment, there are some residents that dont seem respectful of the shared spaces, but management takes cares of issues fairly quickly.I think its a great option for the location and the price! We have been truly satisfied with our experience here.
Very nice apartments and friendly staff! Never had a problem.. except with noisy neighbors which is expected when living in an apartment complex :/. But everything about the Baldwin is great! Some things I especially love... yoga every Saturday morning, nice lobby and conference room for studying, free parking garage. I’ve only been here since August, but best experience so far! I also feel very safe in this building which is a huge PLUS! :)

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about the Baldwin. I’ve been a resident for 15 months now and I’ve adored every day in this apartment. From everyone that works in the office, to the wonderful maintenance team - they’ve been an absolute dream. If you’re lucky enough to live here take a moment to get to know Adam and Gina - who are truly treasures that make every interaction amazing. They’re willing to help with all of my requests, no matter how truly annoying. They make it a point to know everyones names and make your home a pleasant place to be. Rene and Andre on the maintenance team deal with grumpy pups and are a delight to see in the hallways and always have a smile on their faces.I’ve honestly never heard a neighbor in their unit, not even a tiny peep. Package delivery is seamless and incredibly secure. The building is animal friendly and every tenant does their part to keep the grass clean. Every amenity is always spotless and well cared for. The dream!I truly have loved living here and I’m sure I’ll continue to love the rest of my time!
I had been living at The Baldwin’s for over a year. The maintenance guys were always so sweet and friendly, Gina in the office was AMAZING. She is so friendly and understanding, she makes the whole process very easy and she’s so organized. One thing I will remember is New Years, you can see the fireworks light up the sky from your balcony or the parking garage.

I had a seamless move from Houston to my apartment here without stepping a single foot into these apartments!They gave me everything I needed to quickly move in within just 7 days notice, and I got a virtual tour to see my apartment before I signed my lease (since Houston is 3 hours away I didn’t want to drive just to see the apartment).I pretty much got everything done online, it was extremely quick and easy.The staff is amazing, as well as these apartments. The pool area, game room area, gym, conference room for doing work, package concierge, valet trash — everything is great!I also love that the apartments are enclosed inside a building (as opposed to being outside like a motel). It feels a lot safer, the hallways are well-lit.Overall a great experience - if you want a modern apartment for a great price, this is the perfect place!

I lived here for over a year. Had to move due to location changes in life but I will say this place was hands down one of the best apartments I have ever lived in. From move in to move out everything was transparent and they worked with me. Gina, Leylah and Adam were amazing to work with. If you want to live downtown check this place out. For the price and the amenities and taking care of their residents it was well worth it.Oh and that gym is amazing too!
U guys knew I had knee surgery yet still didn’t renew my lease! Motorcycle stolen, homeless people sleeping on my balcony!! U guys have a lot to fix. Alarm constantly going off, no security at all. Access is easy throughout building!! I left this review and not one thing I said was a lie!! Then u guys called my family being disrespectful over my review!! That was very unprofessional!! Like I said if it wasn’t for Gina going the extra mile for me I would not have got the service I did!! From one Vet to another stay clear of this place. FYI I bet at least five doors to the garage are not functioning as we speak. Yet u had the audacity to call being rude!! Yes it’s your lively good and you should take pride in it, not cut corners and lie to get tenants! That’s why the turnover is what it is. Worst decision I made was living there!!
First off the staff is a class act. They are very genuine, helpful, and knowledgeable. The apartment complex sales itself and the value received with location to downtown is unbeatable. Its about a half mile away from the Riverwalk and Tower. Gina was my apartment rep. I could not thank her enough to help accommodate my timeline. The maintenance crew (Renee) helped me the first day with my smoke detector with no waiting. For a single person wanting a city lifestyle you cant beat the value of the Baldwin.
I just moved to the Baldwin from New York City and Im happy to report my experience was seamless, from leasing to furniture intake! Im on local neighborhood apps and can see the struggle within the hospitality or servicing of other apartment complexes and I can confidently express that we have received immediate response to any and all concerns within the leasing office and maintenance staff here. Such a relief! They are really exceptional.
Can’t beat the location and nice apartment complex! My husband & I walk our dog 3-4 times a day & the surrounding neighborhood is really quiet & safe. The complex stays clean and neighbors are friendly & everyone picks up their dog poop! The amenities are great; we use the grill & pool often.The management is on point! Gina was the one who gave us a tour & she sold us almost instantly! Adam & Leylah really friendly as well. The maintenance guys are awesome, when we need a work order done it’s typically done quickly. There’s also live in/on call courtesy officer who is great and responds in a timely manner.Needless to say, we moved in a few weeks ago & love the place!
I am currently in the process of leasing an apartment at the Baldwin at St. Paul Square and I would like to give Gina a shout out! She has been friendly and genuine with me throughout the whole process. She went above and beyond to help me find the perfect apartment. She answers all my questions honestly and gets back to me asap. I can honestly say I have gone to look at other complexes downtown and they do not compare with the customer service I have received at the Baldwins.
It has taken me too many months to write this review. My husband and I lived at the Baldwin for a year. Gena and Adam were GREAT!! the maintenance was also very friendly and helpful. We were there when the pandemic started and I feel they did a great job. Complaints were taken care of in a timely professional manner.
I want to thank everyone at The Baldwin for a great moving experience to a new city. Gina, you were so patient and helpful with the process. I wanted to wait a month + (Honeymoon phase) before writing how much we appreciate all of the team at the Baldwin and how impressed we are with the up keep and professionalism of the property. Our line of work keeps us moving every couple years to new cities and we are thrilled to have found such a great place to live!!!
They do so many fun things! We are having a pumpkin decorating competition this week and it feels like there is something new all the time. The staff is extremely helpful and my apartment is a smaller square foot unit but all the space is utilized very well! I would suggest The Baldwin to anyone looking to live close to all the fun things to do in downtown San Antonio! Best Apartment I have ever lived in.
Lived there 1 year and 8 months. I was very disappointed with my experience at the Baldwin. Literally the first night there, there was a false fire alarm at around midnight. Since then, it was almost a weekly, or monthly experience, each time blamed on something different. Last year, there was a fire alarm that happened overnight and went off no less than six times. By the end, no one took the alarm seriously and Baldwin staff did NOTHING to fix this issue, but provide various excuses (wiring, an tenant unplugging their fire alarm, system reset…) The gates were frequently down or not operational, and locks were down often as well. Break ins were rampant the last few months. The staff never responded to emails, until I sent follow-ups. When I turned my keys in on Tuesday, I wasn’t given any acknowledgement of my tenure there, just an “Alright, what apartment number?” Overall, horrible experience, wouldn’t and haven’t been recommending this spot to anyone.
My girlfriend and I had been apartment hunting for about a month before we decided to stop by The Baldwin and check things out. Alexis took care of us throughout the entire process and was really the difference maker between the Baldwin and the other complexes we had visited. She was very professional, very kind, and had an answer for all of our questions. WE love our new place here, at the Baldwin and were super grateful for all of Alexis help. 😊
I had a tour and I really loved everything about it. The apartment was beautiful and the hallways were nice and quiet. I planned on moving in here in december until I was informed that any visitors (my daughter) I would have would have to pay $1.00 per hour to park in the garage OR my guests could leave their vehicles out on Commerce street overnight between 5pm-8am without a ticket. That was the only reason I looked into other properties and settled on 1 for my December move. The property was very clean and I very much enjoyed my tour.
The Baldwin is one of the most highly rated new properties in the downtown area. It is because of the excellent service delivery and the client experience. I am an apartment locator and real estate agent and Iknow first hand that the manager, Adam, and leasing agent, Gina, take real pride and ownership. They are professional and very knowledgeable. When you lease at The Baldwin, you get real value. If you are looking for the industrial look, there is no better place. The ambiance is peaceful and yet a very active environment. The apartments are spacious with distinct floor plans. It is meticulously landscaped with three lovely courtyards and the maintenance team is on top of things. All the clients I place there are very happy and give me excellent feedback. When a client asks me for the downtown area, The Baldwin at St. Paul Square is FIRST on my list. Leasing an apartment has never been this wonderful!! Everyone in the office had been so kind, helpful, caring, and just all aroud amazing... especially Gina!! They really give everything a personal touch and you feel as though you are becoming part of a family / community. They always call you back, answer any questions you might have, and are upfront about everything! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!!
Have lived at The Baldwin for almost three months and thus far am pleased with the decision.Pros:-Awesome administrative staff provides excellent service-Maintenance workers respond quickly to requests-Location within easy walking distance of the River Walk and St. Paul Square-Amenities (particularly the pool and gym) are top-notch and well maintained-Weekly resident activities (such as free snacks/drinks, workout classes)-Secured parking garage-Modern units-Generally friendly neighbors (have made a number of friends throughout the building)-The building has some character to it (cool appearance and brickwork) which I enjoyCons:-Train noise can be an issue depending on the location of your unit. Horns seem to be blown entirely too frequently for a designated quiet zone.-Occasional disruptions (several days the key fobs to access the building, gym, etc. havent been functional) but these issues are typically remedied fairly quickly-Cars zip around the corners of the parking garage, there may be benefit to adding speed bumps-Pet fees (particularly the non-refundable deposit) seem a little excessive however in comparison to other pet-friendly apartment buildings appear to be around the average.No apartment is 100% perfect but The Baldwin has been a great spot to start life in San Antonio.
I’ve lived here for 5 weeks now and am in love with the relaxed atmosphere! The units are all brand-new yet feel cozy and warm. I literally never want to leave my house. But there are SO many great things going on downstairs - a clean, full-stocked gym; a residents clubhouse with tons of couches and a game area/pool table/giant Scrabble; and beautiful outdoor courtyards with tons of seating, outdoor grills, TVs, fire pits (hello s’mores), a quiet pool, string lights that look gorgeous at night...you name it. There’s also constant social events for residents like Wine Wednesdays, group yoga, movie nights, occasional breakfast tacos, etc.You can hardly hear neighbors - I honestly thought we were the only ones in our hallway for a while. If it’s very quiet you can sometimes hear the water running for your adjacent neighbors’ washing machines, MAYBE your upstairs neighbor if they’re heavy-footed, and the occasional doors opening/closing/locking if you’re near your own front door. But this is nothing like the “paper-thin walls” experience I’ve had in other apartments, where you can hear every sound your neighbor says, sings, yells, or watches on their tv.Our leasing and move-in process was made very easy by the staff. We started applying in April and couldn’t move until August, but Gina and Adam stayed in contact any time there were construction or paperwork updates that needed our attention. Overall, the apartments are very pet-friendly, are in a GREAT location (two blocks from downtown), and are beautiful. I’m so genuinely happy that this is my husband’s and my first home together.
It’s been fun two years! Gina has always been great to work with. It’s not perfect. It’s downtown and there’s smoke BBQ down the street, so you will hear drunk people at night on weekends, depending on which side you live on. But otherwise well maintained for the most part and fun to live at.
Five star reviews are outdated and misleading. Management has gotten worse over time and the quality of the Baldwin reflects that. Certain people in management really don’t care. Regular break-ins throughout the years, broken elevators and doors, broken garage gates, malfunctioning fire alarms, poor construction, lack of security and lighting, and snippy management are just a few examples of the quality here. The maintenance staff always try their best to upkeep the place despite lack of support from management and corporate offices. Just see the conversations by residents about ongoing issues. The corporate offices (and management) have a clear issues in their “luxury” apartments and they have failed to address and the residents are the ones who suffer. Shame on them. I am giving the property a 4 star rating mostly due to the parking garage, and late night outers in the courtyard after 10 PM. Otherwise the property management team is so AWESOME especially ADAM and GINA.This property is also located in prime location to Downtown, River Center Mall, Sunset Station, and the Alamo Dome. You will need to walk or travel out of the area to have some bar scene fun. Unfortunately due to Covid the small mom and pop bars in the St. Paul area never re-opened.Overall, you cant go wrong with this fairly new property and the many floor plans to choose from.
I was stressing about the whole process of finding a new place, finding it at a great price with the amenities I was looking for. We found The Baldwin apartments and i was BLOWN away with the quality of apartments and the customer support I received from the staff (I love Gina and Adam!!)I am extremely happy with how responsive and helpful they are with our questions and what we need for the application and move in process.I would highly recommend The Baldwin apartments!
Never have I ever not felt welcomed anywhere in San Antonio, but thanks to Gina I no longer feel that way. I was denied once alone then once again with a consigner who’s credit was above 800, so no reason for denial, I met all criteria as well. THEY (The Baldwin) told me they had no control over who gets denied or approved that it was up to the 3rd party company so I asked for them to send me the information for the company that does control the decision. After asking 5+ times for the denial letter Gina never sent it! Adam was very nice and sent it over immediately when asked, but upon calling the 3rd party company, they said they had no control over if I had got denied or approved! So basically I’ve been getting the run around trying to find out why I didn’t get the apartment. Normally I wouldn’t complain but she left me for 2-3 weeks wondering if I was going to get the unit or not , and I’m expecting a baby so I needed the unit immediately. My guess is since the apartment I was going to get was on special for 893$ For only 3 more days, is that she just kept me to the side till the special ended and she could get a better commission off the unit.I had got approved at 2 other of their sister properties for NRP Group so I know I met all criteria. The complex is beautiful, but for future residents the beauty may end right at the front office.P.S Fake Profile is the name of my Email to avoid scams
I love living here. Its a beautiful complex, very clean. Wonderful friendly staff. Maintenance is right on point. They work to make everyone feel like community here. Community events are fun and great way to meet other residents. Those who take pride in their home would be a great fit here.
LOVE the location! Leasing staff is super helpful as well! Gina rocks and is so welcoming. The gym and common area are unbelievable. Would highly recommend making this your new home!
Negatives--Snobby staff and neighbors-Gates regularly broken-Elevators down often-Security is not good for the location-Water leak in apartment above-Charges that aren’t justified-Payment system regularly down and then charged for being late on rent-noise complaints for normal noises- lame amenity hours- packages taken- charged $670 for a small bedroom carpet- charged for extra days that I wasn’t in an apartment- homeless people asking for money right outside the complex- coffee machine always brokenPositives-- maintenance staff and cleaning staff ALWAYS friendly.- pool is pretty
I absolutely love the location and amenities The Baldwin has to offer. Everyone of the staff members have been great with me. I feel comfortable with everyone and have never even gotten a bad vibe. Overall a wonderful place to live.
Do not live here no matter what. Plenty of better options for the same price.-constant construction outside the apartment starting in the early morning.-security is extremely lax. The lock on the door from the lobby to the complex is installed backwards, allowing people to enter the complex freely but requiring a key to get out. My door has been knocked on by homeless people several times who wont leave for a while if you dont answer, and one has entered my residence while the door was unlocked. Gate to garage routinely breaks allowing anyone to come into the resident garage with no security cameras. The entire complex can also be entered without a key from the resident portion of the garage. Many of the doors requiring keys are broken and will either not open when the key is applied or will open with no key at all.- elevator down for weeks at a time- fire alarm system goes off about once a month, causing evacuation of the building. Once everyone is inside about 15 minutes later it will go off again. Every time, always late at night.- walls are paper thin, I can hear casual conversation from my neighbors very clearly.- hallways are loud and rowdy late night on weekends- neighborhood is very rough for the price. Do not let the proximity to downtown fool you. I walk guests back to their cars because many feel unsafe walking alone the 100 yards to street parking.- Guests require wristbands to access the pool, and you only get a max of 2. Kind of a small thing but still annoying.- Washer and dryer hookups were done incorrectly in my apartment, leading to a leak and a non functional dryer.- Street parking is very limited, no visitor parking in garage. They use the lower levels as a paid garage by the hour.- Poor pest control: I find about 3 bugs a day in the apartment. Lots of roaches by the dumpster next to a door that is usually propped open.- Several doormats have been stolen or moved as a prank- low quality build- cabinets misaligned, appliances dented or broken, paint on the floor, cheap building material. All in a brand new apartment. My front door has also warped to the point that the deadbolt and key lock can not be engaged at the same time- fuses blow about once a month, causing a blackout of part or all of the apartment. Invest in a backup battery and surge protector for any electronics you dont want suddenly shutting off.- payment system routinely fails, causing you to get a call two weeks into the month that you will be evicted if you dont pay immediately with no prior warning. Payment options become extremely inconvenient when your rent is past due through no fault of your own
Have been living here since 2019! We really appreciate the management staff, especially Gina! She has always gone above and beyond and is very kind and professional! Also the maintenance staff is so amazing, they are so quick and kind! We love the amenities, responsiveness and location!
The maintenance is wonderful, quick and super friendly. The community staff are nice but did not respond to important conversations for weeks, not allowing us to be present for a walk-thru or to hire someone to clean. We moved due to a general dissatisfaction with security, parking, cleanliness of the floors and neighbors.
My wife’s 0 star review keeps getting removed. Do not love here. Your car Will get broken into. Your key Fob WILL stop working and you will locked out. The office will not help you and give you charges with no explanation. Two managers were fired in the 6 months I lived here. Avoid this place at all costs.
I am not a resident, but my boyfriend and I were seriously looking at moving to the Baldwin if it was available. Went to check it out and the leasing agents seemed bothered that we came in to request info and a tour. When it came down to pricing we said we are looking at downsizing and paying anything less then what our current rent is. The agent through out a high number It felt as intimidation. When we asked for a tour he seemed annoyed trying to pass us off to the next agent. When she didn’t offer to help he then said he’d give us the tour and that it’s a busy day. We had an express tour. Overall experience was horrible. It was a very judgmental setting. Would not recommend coming here.
I have been here for two months now and have had to call the leasing office four separate times for the same issue. The issue being that the person that lives above me stomps on the floor, jumps up and down, and just a very inconsiderate person. Every time I speak with them they say they will contact them and thats the last I hear about it. Theyve never followed up with me to see if this problem has kept going. I work from home like a lot of people have to do these days so it is next to impossible to concentrate with this obnoxious neighbor. Im all out of options at this point and I am seriously considering breaking my lease and moving to a different place.
Beautiful downtown apartment complex. I lived there for 14 months. Only moved due to moving to another city. It’s a great location and walkable to downtown San Antonio events. Staff was always very helpful. I would live there again.
Outstanding experience in my tour. Overall one of the best in the city. Unfortunately there was no inventory available for what I was looking for now and the larger apartments, which I really did not need, were not on sale. Location is iffy but overall, one of the most contemporary and upgraded properties I toured.
Gina is amazing (great management makes a big difference)! The apts design is well thought out; great quality overall. Feel very secure, too (scan key is needed to get in). Mx people are awesome.
The staff and especially the property manager is very responsive. The facility is always clean and quiet. This location downtown is great for anyone wanting to be close to downtown but not have to deal with downtown parking or traffic.
I have lived in a few luxury apartments in San Antonio and by far I have to say The Baldwin is the best complex I have lived in. Leylah the property manger is awesome. Her staff and her are supe friendly, polite and knowledgeable. If you are looking for downtown urban living this is your spot! I looked at 7 properties before calling the Baldwin home. Thank you Leylah and staff!!
I moved into the Baldwin towards the end of June 2018 right after the building opened. In September 2018, I experieced a few leaks in my bedroom. While I was out of town, the office staff informed me that the leak had been fixed. A week later, I notice that my ceiling is leaking again. This time the leak was flowing significantly more. I immediately called emergency maintenance and had to leave a voicemail. When my call was returned, I was told I would need to wait until the morning and since the rain stopped I should be fine. Previously, the property manager told me the water was coming from my upstairs neightbors so I am unaware of who to believe. The community has only been open for a few months and the building is beginning to detiorate. You will find this happens with most of NRP properties due to poor construction standards. If you are looking to move here, I would recommend avoiding.
Extremely rude staff, and poor customer service. As a young woman I am disappointed in this new complex. The leasing manager Leylah was verbally condescending and rude over the phone and in person, and she left highly unprofessional voicemails. Her colleague Adam would gave me false information, and then change the requirements all of a sudden. I filled out and paid for an app, passed, and still encountered prejudice based on my age & appearance. I cant imagine how they would treat minority or low income applicants. Better to just lease at one of the other new complexes downtown. I have no desire to live in a place with such rude leasing agents.

Adam has been nothing short of amazing, funny, professional and caring, he has gone over and beyond as a specialist, to even now as the Assistant Manager at The Baldwin, thank you Adam...fast forward to my introduction to Gina, who has also exemplified professionalism, along with a welcoming personality, thank you Gina for all that you do, and our talks. Being one of the first move-ins when the property was still under construction and establishing itself, I recall Gina making my move-in seamless, she, Adam, and Leylah (who was the manager at the time)went over and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of, thank you for showing genuine interest in your residents, I appreciate you all!

Absolutely amazing property! Some of the best staff in the city as well. They are friendly and super responsive. This place has the relaxing hotel type vibe which is perfect for the Downtown location. Can’t wait for move in day
This property is so nice...the staff is extremely friendly and helpful...leylah was very helpful to all the questions I had and did an amazing job taking the time and showing the whole property and all the amazing amanities they have here..glad I choose the balwin apartments..walking distance from everything..amazing view..and very safe to live here. I give this property and staff 5 stars for sure.
I’m a new resident but I’ve known someone who lived here about a year-ish. The ladies are so nice and on top of things it’s always a pleasure stopping by the office. Thanks to Gina and Layla for always being so sweet.

PROSPECTIVE RENTERS BEWARE!! This leasing company will send you to collections for looking at their units, I didnt even get a notice from them that they thought I owed them money for looking at their apartment. They sent me to collections with out contacting me one time. They will deceive you and ask you to fill out their paperwork and without even knowing theres a problem they send you to collections for admin fees WHAT A BUNCH OF CROOKS STAY AWAY AND DONT FILL OUT ANY PAPERWORK UNLESS YOU ARE SURE YOU WANT TO THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY WITH THESE CRIMINALS!! Cheers!!THIS IS STILL ON MY CREDIT...................................
