DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!! BEWARE!!! If I could give them zero stars I would at this point. They will try to charge you $800 for carpet that was worn when you already moved in. If had I know that I would’ve asked for new carpet in the apartment but coming from another state I was not able to tour the apartment before I moved in. They pretty much want me to pay for damage to the carpet that was done by the tenants who previously lived in the apartment. They had an animal I could tell because of the scratches in the tub and on the bathroom door. There’s no telling how long the people really lived there before I moved in but they say that they replace the carpet every two years. I only live here for a year and they want me to foot the bill. I will see them in court before they see another penny from me. Then the assistant manager tried to gloss it over like $800 is nothing to give up and then added in the extra if you don’t pay, it go on your credit… yea ok. She really had some nerve. For the record, my 12 year old daughter and I were the only two people who lived in the apartment (no pets or babies). I had large area rugs and we didn’t even walk on the carpet with shoes on. If they want to replace the carpet they should just do that not try to charge their tenants for stuff that should have been fixed BEFORE they moved in. The assistant manager said that they were only charging me for 80 percent of the damages when 100 percent of the damages was there when I moved in. Then I let them keep my little $250 deposit for the express clean which was supposed to cover the carpet. Because like I said we did not damage the carpet.Any who I’ve contacted the corporate office and I will get this issue handled. On another note the apartment was extremely humid inside I had mold growing on the windows (they spray some stuff over it). That explains why I was always congested. I had to have the flapper in the toilet replaced multiple times because the toilet would start running. At random the ac would just not cool the apartment and it would get to almost 90 degrees in the apartment. Parking for building 3,4,5 sucked there was almost never any parking in that area. People would leave their trash cans out and sometimes it stunk and would look a mess (building 4). They replaced the counter tops in the bathroom when I first moved in and didn’t make sure the sink was installed properly. Water leaked in my guest bathroom for days before I realized what was going on. Needless to say the cabinets soaked up all of the water and they didn’t want to replace it.Other than that I really didn’t have any problems. The location is great not too far from the inner city. You will hit traffic coming off 151 almost everyday and leaving out of the apartment. The gym is small but functional. Nicole was great when she worked there. Maintenance team was amazing if I put a work order in they fixed it right away. Also, they move people into the apartment in less than a week turnaround I moved out on the 16th and someone else was moved in by the 20th. Maybe that’s why they would just rather have the tenants pay for things that was messed up before they moved in.
I am a new resident of MAA Alamo Ranch. I am also a former happy MAA Legacy Pines (Houston) resident.I am still currently moving in but would like to write a review on the process thus far. From my initial walk-in interest, Donna Hicks has helped me every step of the way.We set up a tour where she walked me through the complex and showed me all of the amenities from the full gym business center, dog bath area pool and grills, secure mail center, etc along with a few apartment homes that were vacant for showing. Then we went through all of the availability dates and found what would work best for me as a move-in and were able to secure the perfect home location right next to two available garages I was able to rent as well.I cant stress how professional, and responsive Donna has been throughout the whole process with all of the paperwork from financial information, signing documents, and even guiding me through getting my ESA letter information with my healthcare provider submitted. On top of all of that, Donna is simply a kind-hearted and fun person to work with.I will certainly update this as time goes on but cannot wait to get fully moved in and start enjoying my residency here!
After a short notice to move from NC to TX, picking this place to stay in San Antonio was the best decision. Norma Martinez went above and beyond to make my move smoothly. She is a 5 🌟 at the office, I was kind of scared to book an apartment online, but this place is better than what the google picture shows, and it is a safe and clean area. You will not regret it.
This review is for the one and only Norma. Relocating from Philadelphia she has been nothing but exceptional in an already stressful move. From the start Norma has taken her time to answer any questions I had and went above and beyond to make me feel at home here. The apartment was leased site unseen and I can’t be more happy. Maintenance Laura is also very good at what she does and responds to any request super fast. If your looking to lease in a great neighborhood with exceptional staff please ask for Norma!
Worked with Donna to tour and lease my new apartment. It was a super seamless experience, she was super nice, knowledgeable, and made my move in experience super easy. There were some items that had to be addressed upon move in and maintenance took care of them right away. Super happy with my move in and living experience so far!
Norma at MAA San Antonio is outstanding! Her professionalism, prompt communication, and genuine dedication to helping residents stand out. She goes above and beyond to ensure every detail is handled with care, making the process seamless and stress-free. Truly a pleasure to work with someone who values customer satisfaction so highly. Thank you, Norma!
I came to visit my sister , we went on the pool . Although the pool is really pretty, the second you got in you could tell what was wrong with it. The pool not only smells bad .but It’s very visibly dirty and it has many leaves inside and so much green dirty algae covering the walls and floors. and there’s no lifeguards on deck and it’s green all around. The pool is not maintained at all. I got an eye infection. very painfully and bad experience.at least clean your pool!!!👎🏼
Came looking for a new place to call home today and NORMA was just the best. Excellent customer service and was able to help us out. Thanks to Norma I think we found the one. Hopefully I’ll be applying real soon.
We came to MAA looking for a potential new home home and with the assistance of Donna Hicks and the MAA team we were able to successfully get our first apartment. They are very friendly and helpful staff!!
Norma was extremely helpful during my apartment search here at MAA. Not only was she kind, but very informative on the application process, floor plans, etc. She makes you feel at home before even signing your lease. 5 stars for Norma!
I moved in two days ago and I’m glad I did. The apartments are well maintained, they have plenty of floor plans to fit my needs, and the amenities are great! They have valet trash service, 24 hour gym, and a pool. Norma Martinez was incredibly helpful during the application process and even personally showed me two different floor plans to help me decide on my next apartment. Thanks again!
2 stars sadly. I like the complex but what is the point of having emergency maintenance if no one shows up. The other night my ac went out and I have an infant who was SWEATING the highest the temperature went up to was 91 in the apartment and then back to 88 .. we were extremely hot due to the humidity as well. I spoke to someone just for someone not to even show up. I had to take my family somewhere else for the night so the baby doesn’t get over heated. They still haven’t came so I am really disappointed. But I’m glad the ac went back down on its own.The toilets have mold it in.There is bad rust on the bathtub that I can’t scrub off. This is not a luxury apartment and the pay isn’t worth it.
Donna was so helpful and nice. I really enjoyed dealing with the rental office. They are some of the most professional and caring people I’ve ever met
Outstanding customer service provided by Norma Martinez! Thank you, Norma, for your time and great assistance with attention to details! Highly recommend this great professional leasing consultant!
I scheduled a tour at the property and was not disappointed! Norma was our tour guide, and she was so welcoming and very nice. She answered all of my questions and gave the tour very well. If the apartment she showed us is still available at our move time we will defiantly be applying here! The property was clean and the fitness center was great! Thanks Norma!!
I had a great, smooth experience with applying and moving in. Norma was a fantastic help throughout the entire process and made the process as seamless as possible. The apartment was exactly as expected upon move in and every request I’ve had so far has been taken care of immediately. Love MAA!
**Update**:After relocating for a job and moving into my apartment in April 2024, two weeks later the job ghosted me and stopped responding to my emails. I eventually contacted unemployment to see what my options were(while stressing out during the long process). I was told I would have to file it with the last employer I worked for, so I did. I communicated all issues with the complex and they were not concerned. The only person who showed me compassion and provided me with resources since I knew nothing about the state of Texas was Faye (one of the office managers). My unemployment was approved on May 20, 2024, but did not receive my first payment until May 31st (which I let the complex know as well), but they would not allow me to make a payment and stated, We do not accept partial payments and now you will have to pay May and June together or vacate the premises because we have already filed eviction on you. This was very upsetting because I have never been in this situation before and I was also a victim of identity theft 4 times. I also had to file an order of protection from abuse on my ex for abusing my child and there was also no compassion from the complex on this matter. So now I am working with the Attorney Generals Office to help me because it is EXTREMELY clear that this complex is only worried about money and putting people out on the streets after you have exhausted your emotions, dignity, and funds. MAA is wonderful only if you do not fall short of giving them what they want and when they want it. They do not display humanity nor compassion. This is my experience with themFYI: I will be vacating the premises this month (June)with an eviction judgement on my credit and only a total of 85 days living in the apartment.Sadly I would have never moved here nor to Texas if I knew I was going to go through this._________________________________MAA ALAMO is wonderful. I really appreciate Nicole in every step of the moving process, she is amazing. I was a little nervous throughout the process because relocating can be scary, but I feel so good about it now it makes me excited to a part of this community. I have nothing but great things to say about this location. Thank you so much!
Great community and a very good and clean property and whenever you come here ask for Norma very nice and helpful she made us feel so welcome
The property was well maintained and any maintenance request handled promptly. Staff courteous and helpful. Amenities satisfied my needs. Pleasant experience and Im only leaving because of a job transfer. If I ever come back to the SA office I will definitely try to get back into this property. Highly recommend Alamo Ranch.
Shout out!!!!!Alamo Ranch maintenance team is “spot on”.Always busy making things right. We are eternally grateful to the team of three!!Mike Slaughter
I went by today with my boyfriend and spoke with Norma Martinez, looking for our first apartment. She made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. She didn’t let us down with the experience we got today. Very happy with what I saw and hoping to live here soon.
All of the staff there are really great! Shout out to Laura in maintenance for answering my work order request and fixing my door within an hour. Truly fantastic. I highly recommend living there.
I really don’t recommend living here !!!we found so much stuff here and we are trying to get out of here as soon as possible !we found a big poisonous spider 🕷️ in our sons room he’s only 10 months … we found a string hanging out our carpet and i almost tripped over it . our washer and dryer doesn’t work well . our stove is broken everytime they come repaired it it still breaks !! our sinks clog up and we take a bath with flooded water so we’re basically taking a bath with dirty water even my baby .. when we first moved in the light bulb wasn’t working outside i had reported it and they never came and i had to remind them again .. and our front door battery lock thing kept dying and they took forever to come fix the battery .. we found a screw in my sons carpet and a tooth in my cabinet where my hairbrush was !!!!
I recently put an application in, paying $120 for 2 applicants. I had spoke to someone before this asking about the criteria because it’s not on their website. I was told as long as you make 2x the rent it will be sufficient. I contemplated for a few hours before deciding I was ready. I went ahead and applied and not even 5 minutes later I get an email that my application was denied. The office calls me and as I was trying to ask the lady why didn’t she tell me it goes by credit points she was rude and kept interrupting me. So, now I’m out the money for being deceived and they have not a care in the world. Before applying, make sure you make 2x the rent, have 800+ credit and the means to throw money away. Very disappointed in the lack of communication and information on the website. It is deceiving.
Hi All! 👋 Thank you for the welcome! Personally Im quite content & satisfied with my apartment home & living arrangements. Staff is top notch & efficient! (Dog owners should be more responsible for their pets!!) Otherwise 👍👌
Called in on the phone to schedule an appointment very professional and nice over the phone. when I came in I spoke with a very nice lady Ms.Norma who explained all options for apartments in my price range. Went to see the first unit and asked questions on it she explained everything asked. Did the application same day and got move in details the following day. Also talked to Ms Nichole and Ms Faye who is also very kind and professional. Im already recommending many people to come to this complex nothing but a great experience and friendly smiles !
I just moved to San Antonio and I went on 11 apartment tours. My last one I went to was here at the MMA Ranch. My Guide, Mary Alice, was AMAZING! Best customer service I’ve seen so far and I enjoyed talking to her. She gives off a great vibe and made me see what great service the MMA Ranch provides. She was very informative of everything on and around the apartment and its community and made it felt like I found the one.The apartment I viewed was so perfect that I had to apply. Fingers crossed, I get the apartment.Update: Living here & everything been great! 😌
Not sure if they have a new pest control company or whatever but it sucks! Can’t wait until the lease is up.
Took my money for deposit and never gave it back. When speaking to both the office and manager, not helpful or understanding in my situation. They held the apartment for 2 days over the weekend and refused to give my deposit back “since it was over 48 hours” even though they were closed one of those days and couldn’t be reached. Don’t try to move in with them, they will make it difficult and take your money.
Based off of all the reviews I read we decided to stop by the complex and see if we could get information. From the moment we walked in Norma was so kind and welcoming! We told her what we were looking for and she was so helpful! She was able to show us two out of the three 1 bed units but told us as when the third was available we could just stop by and she would show us that one as well. The grounds were beautiful with all the trees around. It felt homey and private with all kinds of top notch amenities. The community seems really great! We’re hopeful that this is where we would like to call home!
I was referred to MAA Apartments by friends and co workers, given the situation I was in, it’s hard enough finding a home where they allow specific dog breeds like German Shepherds. Well, upon walking to the leasing agents desk, Norma, a warm welcome and smile not only helped me through the process of finding a home but assured me that my 4 legged companion was welcomed. I was already sold that my German Shepherd was welcomed, especially since it’s close to my place of work and school, but still wanted to get a feel for the apartment complex. Did not feel rushed, all my questions were answered, I got a feel of what I wanted, originally was wanting to move in during mid year, instead, moving in sooner than expected. I want to give a shoutout to Norma for taking time to show me the layout, the process, explaining the fees and overall making me feel at home. I cannot wait till I officially move in.
Best team ever, yes unfortunately we didn’t stay for long, even though you guys where so amazing!Nicholas acron we wish you a bright future in your journey brother.
Lord if I can give Ms.Nicole a hug right now I would! She been such a blessing to me in so many ways ! I would recommend her to anybody. She so nice and wonderful and good at her job. She’s willing to help anyone. Thank you Ms.Nicole ! ❤️Update: 12/10/2023 This apartment is a nice apartment but they do not accpet Partial payments even if you have half of your rent. They will not try to work with you at all. They will send you to court and stil will not work with you even if the judge ask if they can set up a payment plan. Even when they know that you have Partial of the rent. These folks are money hungry and doesnt care about others but themselves. when they put an eviction out the will email you like crazy saying to surrender your apartment so you wont have to go to court or have an apartment on your credit... How can you basically bully someone out of their home without seeing if they have the full amount first in order to stop the eviction. Even if you have the full amount they still want their property back because 9/10 they already rented it out to another person/family. SO IF YOU CAN HANDLE THEIR FOOLISHNESS THEN GO RIGHT AHEAD TO EACH ITS OWN.
Norma is incredible! From the moment i walked in she was super transparent, friendly, sweet! She took great care of me!The move in process was very smooth!Excited to begin my new beginnings!Thank you Alamo Ranch Apartments
The best place to live!! Everybody is so nice and takes good care of whatever I may need. Mary Alice always greets me with a big smile and makes sure that we feel at home! I love being a part of the Alamo Ranch community.
Nicole made us feel so comfortable! She was welcoming, sweet and was really helpful when giving us information. I would definitely recommend speaking to her if you’re interested in these apartments!
I have had the best experience being here so far. I moved here from New Hampshire, so I did everything online and through phone calls with the office. They made my move out here extremely easy and helpful. When I arrived here and I first saw my apartment I was so pleased and so happy! The community is beautifully taken care of, the pool is amazing the gym is great the staff is super friendly and wonderful especially the maintenance person JT. I couldn’t have picked a better place to move to, when moving back to San Antonio.
I visited with the Manager, Mary Alice Trueba and she gave me a tour of the facility. Her professionalism was amazing and she made me feel very comfortable throughout the touring experience. I would definitely recommend anyone thinking about moving around this area to consider the same tour.
Nicole, a leasing staff member, was so helpful and responsive throughout the whole leasing process! She was very patient and informative with all my questions! Highly recommend this complex and their staff!
First apartment tour in San antonio Nicole was awesome and very friendly and very informative. The apartment she should us was very nice. The pool looks awesome and the gym is open 24 hours.
Norma was so sweet & a gave a very good tour. Me & my boyfriend loved the apartments she showed us. We will most definitely contact her when we move in!
If you didn’t feel like you had a 5-star experience it’s because you didn’t have Nicholas (Nick) as your leasing consultant. My experience overall would have probably have been 4-stars but Nick’s customer service and drive for excellence really pushed it over the edge. This place definitely deserves more than a 3-star rating and it isn’t a place you should be weary to move into. Some people just can’t be pleased and it seems like most of the complaints are from people who don’t like living in an apartment complex in general. I never see pests, my neighbors don’t make a sound (can’t hear any noise at night), the maintenance staff are respectful, courteous, and resolve matters promptly. The Alamo Ranch area is a growing so the main road can be a bit loud through night but that’s living in a city.I see a lot of people have issues with being charged when moving out. You are responsible for your lease contract and it is your responsibility to document things so you’re not charged when leaving. My only advise to you is to document everything before moving in and have it addressed before signing your lease. I will update my review in a few months if things change.
I love the property it’s very clean and well kept! Love the floor plans also! Nicole is a great leasing agent. She is very welcoming with a wonderful personality!
We been leaving at MAA apartments for almost a year. Norma has been the go to person . Very helpful and always going above and beyond for us. Thank you Norma we really appreciate your help.
I lived here for a year and a half. My first building was badly hit during Snowpocalypse 2021/flooded and had to relocate to a different building. They were accommodating and handled it the best they could. It was a crazy Texas storm after all. The walls are thin, so sometimes you can hear your neighbors. Floors are thin, so if you have stomping ogres above you, you will hear them and their dogs sliding and stomping around. Most of the staff is alright, some way more helpful than others. Gates are constantly broken or being maintained, so sometimes that was a drag to wait on someone to exit so you can get inside the complex. But maintenance is super nice and helpful and great. I had a small roach problem but they came and sprayed but little critters will get in if you’re on the first floor. These apartments served their purpose for me, though. I had nice views from my porch on both buildings, and I like the kitchen and bath tubs. Traffic is bad during bad traffic times on Alamo parkway but wild pine is easier to get out of. That’s all I can think of, if you are considering this location, just consider these relatively normal/common probs of apartment living and I don’t think you’ll be hugely disappointed. They will move you in fast. Just know what you want before you sign anything or put any money down.
I love the location. I love the staff. Denise was really helpful to me when I first got here, the entire staff is great though. I had a few issues during my stay with all of the craziness of 2020 going on, but they did work with me and I do appreciate that. I like the way that the leasing office communicates issues with the tenants and the measures that theyve taken in response to everything thats happened this year. I didnt really take advantage of all of the amenities that this place has as much as I couldve, but there are plenty for those that will. Overall good stay, good experience.
I lived here for nearly 3 years before I bought my house, and my experience was nothing less than great. At a different point in my life now, Im contemplating moving back into the complex because of my prior experience. The formula for renting is so simple: pay on time, come at the management right and stop thinking youre entitled to Buckingham Palace.
These pictures are from when they said it was okay to move in. I told them a week before we moved in that there was an infestation of cockroaches and they informed me that they would have someone spray before we moved in. It was a Saturday when I told them about the infestation, they told me that the exterminator would be there on Tuesday, we waited until Monday to make sure it was safe to move in. It didnt seem like the apartment was cleaned. Behind the refrigerator, the washer/dryer, and under almost every cabinet had cockroach droppings and hair. We cancelled our lease and went else where.
I’ve been living here in October will be one year! I love it here! They always have events for the community to engage in!! The office management all around is amazing and very helpful and so approachable! Super dog friendly everyone here I kid you not has a dog, no matter where you go you can have your dog there’s so much green areas!I’ve lived at three other apartments in my life and I’m going to be here at Alamo ranch for awhile till I’m ready to buy a house! And the Maintenance team is so reliable I put in a request and the next day they are at the apartment that’s a lot to say because the other apartments I lived at I had to wait at least a few days to get my request done!Overall I feel like this apartment complex is doing something right because it feels like home!
0 star if I could. Living there is OK, but leaving, they are crooks. After paying for the last month, I agreed to pay the 250.00 for them to clean, and also when I moved in a year ago the apartment was very dirty. I had to clean it stove dishwasher carpet flooring, etc. Any way I got a bill for 1000.00 dollars because I didnt vacuum the carpet and was told that it had to be replaced. Because it was flat, by the door, where you had to walk in and out, go figure. Im at the point where I asked for the carpet after they removed it because I am in talks with a lawyer, and was told that they threw it away. But I talked with the maintenance guys and they said that the apartment had not been cleaned or carpet removed 🤔, if you have been taken advantage of by this apartment complex, contact us and lets sue them for all the wrong doing..I have read plenty of reviews about the same thing happening here. Please if youre looking for an apartment dont get one here. If you already live there, when you move out, take many pictures of everything from flooring to ceiling. Ps make sure you record all conversations and contacts. These people will change things around to make sure they get more money out of you 😒..
Such an easy process if youre looking for a place to live asap. Denise was the one who gave me a tour. She couldnt have been more welcoming. I had my kids with me and she was so great with my 3 yr old and even carried my baby bag while we climbed the stairs to check out the apartments. She is definitely one of the reasons we wanted to live here.
This place is awesome! The leasing staff know what they are doing especially Nick! They are all on top of their paperwork and work orders. They are all super nice and they are super organized! The pool is always clean, the work out area is as well. They go as far as passing out snacks to the kids at the pool! This place is great! We are going on our 3rd month here and couldn’t be happier!
I feel taken advantage of before we even got to sign our lease. We were doing as much as we could online cause we were moving from two hours away. Paid the 60 dollar application fee and almost immediately after 250 was taken from our account without permission. I guess that was to put it on hold. We got to San Antonio, our first time viewing the apartment was a couple days after the withdrawal of 250 from our account. 1500 dollars was our quote on paper the day of viewing for an apartment that was somewhat lackluster, carpet throughout, laminate counters no stainless steel appliances. The day after we saw it we told them we wanted to back out. They kept the 250 and wanted 60 more for the application fee. So that amounts to 370 for not moving in? Also, another kicker the leasing agent said 750 to move in is non refundable 1500 if its refundable over the phone.. got to San Antonio that story changed on paper 1500 to move in non refundable and 2500 refundable. We found a better apartment and moved in for 850 out the door, no game playing. These people are crooked. They are highly staffed and thats where most of the residents money seems to go, is towards fishing more unsuspecting people into this borderline ponzi scheme. My take away from all this is just because you can take advantage of someone doesnt mean you should. On a good note, I am loving San Antonio as a whole. Alamo Ranch was just a little bump in the road as far as Im concerned. Happy trails guys.
I was happy here.. But they absolute gouge you when you checkout. 7/ nail hole is insane. Also when we complained about mold growth around our bedroom window the solution was to bleach and paint. Then surprise only a few months later it was back and worse. The window was obviously leaking but they just do the easy cover up. Out AC went out frequently (it was leaking freon according to the maintenance guy) and the solution was to recharge periodically. So our CPS bill would shoot up and it be 85 in my apartment. The manager wanted to argue with me about how mold works and how it was just condensation. No that is beyond that... The window has an issue with the seal so hence the mold all around the edges and sill.I was having lots of issues with nose bleeds and thought it was just my allergies. Since moving to my new Home I have been 100% better. I truly believe it was the mold that was continuing to grow and they did nothing about. The level of tenants has also gone done significantly and the is no where near as nice as it used to be. People leave dog crap everywhere, trash in the halls and their patios are trashed. Parking was hard to get at my building, and many times I was awoken by loud neighbors. It is a shame, but Im glad Im done with apartment living and in my own home.Avoid this place if you want someplace nice to live.
Ive lived here for 3 months now and I absolutely love it. The management team is amazing. Nick helped me find the perfect apartment! He is super friendly and was able to answer all questions I had. Theyre very pet friendly and the pool is amazing! If theres ever an issue with maintenance, theyre very quick to fix the problem! Ive never had a bug problem and for me thats very important!!!I would definitely recommend this place!!
Norma has been very helpful and very pleasant.. had a lovely experience!!!
I love the apartment features (huge closets, garden tub, large patio) and the grounds are beautiful. Staff is always friendly and quick to help. My only complaint is that people dont pick up after their dogs and the dog park is sad and small. On the positive note, it forces me to walk my dog longer.Update: During the winter freeze our sprinkler lines broke and flooded many apartments. I had to stay in a hotel for a week. We went months without a proper fire alarm and workers were constantly in and out of the buildings without warning. The dog park constantly flooded and my car was broken into the last week I lived there because the gates were always broken. I left a month early expecting to pay the last month and was also charged all these outrageous items.
Ive had nothing but an amazing experience here at Alamo Ranch! This being my first apartment ever, Nick and the amazing staff at Alamo Ranch has made my move into San Antonio nothing but a pleasure. Maintenance is quick to responding to request and get the job done on the first visit. I also appreciate the complex following social-distancing rules and keeping everyone safe. I highly recommend living here. I will be staying here for the considerable future. :)
Nice apartmentsGates never work nor clickersThe staff is sorry and never does anything for residents maintence is the best here without them these apartments would be downhill..Nick in the front office is very rude , always has an attitude, and always flips the story around to make you seem like your doing wrong or has if he didn’t say the things you repeat back to him.Rent is super pricey for the quality we pay is not worth it so many little fees
Nick at the front office was always professional and very helpful! I lived here for 10 months and it was a great experience. For it being my first apartment after moving out of my parents, Nick made the moving in and moving out process very smooth.
This is a great place to live. I moved away for a few years and I moved back and I love Mary Alice and her crew. This has/is my absolutely favorite place to live. Highest of recommendations!!!!!!
Ditto from the last post! My washer in my apartment quite working and they had to order a replacement. They kept me updated and I got a personal call from maintenance that it was installed while I was at work. Also, he added that if I had questions or needed help with the new machine to just let the office know. What a great place to live!!!
It was great in the beginning I had a beautiful view by building 16 until construction started. The walls are thin and you can hear every word. You can also hear people walking/running above you. What frustrates me is that I have a miniature schnauzer that was attacked twice by big dogs such as German Shepherds. I notified them twice and they did nothing about it. The last time the owner lost control of her dog and I notified management they basically took up for her because she’s been a resident there for awhile. It doesn’t justify why my dog and I were attacked. If you have small dogs BE CAUTIOUS clearly management does not care about the safety of your pets. They could’ve put a notice out warning owners to be careful and enforce rules on having your dog on a leash at all times. I’ve lived there almost 3 years and they raised the rent every time! Yet there hasn’t been any renovations made to the apartments. The location is starting to get crowded due to more businesses being built.
I have lived at Alamo Ranch for almost a year and I have to say its the best experience I have had in apartment living. The staff is professional and friendly and is always available and responsive to our needs. They are always planning events, decorating the clubhouse depending on the season and keeping it festive and inviting. They make you feel at home and welcomed here always.Of course living in a big city things happen that are out of everyones control. The management makes a point to always keep the residents updated and informed as well as take all necessary precautions to lessen concerns on property.I cant say enough about Alamo Ranch and MAA. The management never changes which is a sign of stability and the maintenance team is one of the best in the business. I would recommend living at Alamo Ranch because compared to the competition their service and the quality is unmatched. Thank you Alamo Ranch team. I love my home.
Previously I was very happy with this Apartment Complex. Neighbors were great service issues not more than 1 day. The office staff is nice when it comes to basic stuff like helping you with your package delivery or of course signing the lease. In almost 2 years I had never been late with my payments. I logged in on the 1st to make my payment but the balance showed 0 and the make a payment button was not leading me to anything so i figured my fiancé paid it. I needed to pay it that day because I was going to be in a place with no cell service and out of town. I come back in to town and see that we are past due with a late charge. I called the office they said theyll check my account usage and say we see you logged in but did not have proof it showed 0 on the screen. The rep then tells me its out of her control and to speak to her account manager after basically implying Im a liar. Of course their account manager is not there so the rep says that shell call me back which she didnt. So I went the next day in person and the account manager was there. I let her know the situation and she says she will discuss with management. At that point I asked is the late charge on my statement the only late charge I have to pay and she says yes. Calls the next day and tells me that my waiver was denied also implying that I was lying stating that i have other methods of payment. I give up and decide to pay. I find out that after the initial late charge, Im being charge a daily late charge in addition to what was already charged. I call back again and she refused to waive the late charges and says she assumed I knew and it was my choice to not make the payment when as a courtesy she could have said hey theres a daily late charge why dont you pay now if you can and if your late fee removal is approved, then well reimburse you. But she didnt however she offered to waive 1 late charge but at that point I was like really. I was very upset and i cant wait until my lease is up so i can move since I dont feel at home here anymore. My advice enroll in auto payments if possible or if you find yourself in that situation like i did take a picture or screen shot.
This place is amazing, if I’ve had any issues they took care of them very promptly. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because after our lease was up, we were kinda bummed to hear that our rent would be going up after resigning. I wish rent would stay the same for existing customers, seems only fair. But it is what it is, very nice complex and Amy in the front office is a total sweet heart! Love the fact that food trucks come often, saves on gas having to go out on nights I don’t feel like cooking. It’s a very quiet place as well, my neighbors are pretty quiet and friendly. I’d totally recommend to anyone in the market looking for a new apartment.
It’s rare I even write reviews but I just have to because I didn’t believe most of the comments but this place is a scam & have unknowledgeable people working here! The are quick to take your money & add fees they supposedly know anything about which makes no sense. The manager Mary Alice can’t multitask nor care to have her associates being on top of things. She admitted she related messages to Norma but Norma was confused herself. It was a horrible process & I only did the application part I would get emails after business hours the first one was I got denied then the next day again after business hours I got a approved email. I’ve called several of times to try to talk to the manager and she will not get on the phone. She just related messages through Norma. Glad I’m not a residentDo your research & choose wisely I wouldn’t recommend them to ANYONE !!
The Alamo Ranch Apartments gets a big thumbs up from me. Priscilla my Leasing Agent was a true professional, and was very patient and helpful during my search. Everyone at Alamo Ranch has been extremely helpful, from the Office Staff to the to the Maintenance Staff. The biggest surprise came the first night I moved in and notice the incredible view of the complex at night. Wow! Well designed. Also, I must add that this area is one of the most quiet areas I have ever lived.
Loved living here for a year. It was my first apartment and my room mate and I both really liked it. We got a good rate in an excellent part of the complex and despite the large amount of construction happening next to the apartments this didn’t negatively impact the experience at all. Maintanence was excellent and work orders were often taken care of same day or next day at the latest and fixed the first time. Really wish I could actually stay here but the price to renew the lease is almost $100 more then we currently pay and that unfortunately falls outside of my budget now that I will be renting alone. That is the only reason why I cannot leave 5 stars. Rent prices are going up everywhere but the area within Alamo Ranch was excellent and I would 100% reccomend renting here if it fits your price range.
Wonderful experience with Alamo. Nicole was very helpful and a pleasure to speak with. She answered all of my questions and was very pleasant throughout the whole process. 10/10 recommend
Faye, was of great help! We were able to figure out a solution to issues I had when it came to moving out as a Military member! Fantastic service!
Loud Neighbors after hours and management would not do anything.Car break-ins 2-3 times a month (hilarious when you see the safe sign out front)Then on move out they charged me for a new carpet, but did not provide proof that the carpet was in fact damaged. I have asked for proof, but they have not responded to my request.I guess once they have what they want (your money), they dont feel they need to deal with you any more.
I’ve been here since June ‘18 and can’t wait until my lease is up. Paper thin walls, I’m currently listening to the drama of my upstairs neighbors at 3am, which enticed me to write this review. I have called the security line, no help. I live by the dog park and have to walk through poop and trash every day that the other tenants leave. There’s been a chicken parmigiana dish outside for 4 days. However, not everything is bad. The leasing office is always pleasant and takes time to listen to concerns. The problem is with your neighbors. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.Update! Chicken parm was thrown away!
Great customer service provided by Norma Martinez! Very professional, polite and caring! Thank you, Norma!
After two years of a perfect record with this complex, despite the constant complaints and problems that were constantly left unhandle. I was transfered with my job to another city. Even though state laws require a lease to give a buy out when your employment transfers you, this company would not comply. They charged us every charge they could come up with equally thousands of dollars when I gave notice. we took pictures of the apartment condition upon leaving, and they still came after us with fees for damage they are claiming that was not in the apartment when we left. Danielle was extremely rude and unworkable. Had an attitude through the entire process.Very much regret our decision to ever lease from this complex!
Absolutely love these apartments. They do so many things to make this place feel like a community such as parties, bbqs, bouncy houses etc. They also really care about the landscaping and cleaniness of the complex. They are constantly sending out notices making sure residents know to clean up after themselves and reminders on certain rules like cleaning up after your dog and dont leave junk on your patio. For me, I like that because I prefer a clean good looking community. Maintenance is also great. They have always responded within 24 hrs of submitting a request. Its a safe place, good schools and great for families. Highly recommended it.
The front staff is amazing, any issue and they always take care of it. The best crew always so friendly and willing to get to know you and make your apartment a home. I’ve enjoyed living here.
I have appreciate the customer service support - shout out to Denise and staff!! Nothing but professional compassionate service! I moved in during the holidays and the Christmas decoration with free gift wrapping made me feel very welcomed.I love the support to the small business community each month a different delicious food truck ! Early morning surprise breakfast!! Alamo Ranch ROCKS!!!
Highly disappointed with the way my last several months of living here ended up. Neighbors would leave trash out in our breezeway for days at time, attracting wildlife such as raccoons. The mess left after the coons was never cleaned up, leaving a horrid scent for days. Upon move-out, the office staff misinformed me on several different items and the manager refused to work with me to resolve a few small issues. Parking was also an issue the last two months or so of my lease. I ended up having to park several buildings away from my unit. This was all in addition to the fact that the gate was broken on and off for months. The gate literally had the keypad hanging off several times and the remotes had to be replaced frequently in order to get the gate to open. I wish that the last part of my lease would have been as enjoyable as my first several months there. It was sad to see such a negative change with new management on site.
The maintenance staff is professional, knowledgeable and respond quickly. This team perform preventative maintenance quick to respond to maintenance requests. This property is very well maintained. 💯💯💯
It was nice in the beginning but as time went on it became very very poor. Staff was very accmodating. As time went on that changed. It was a constant pain because of construction in area newer building 14 to 16 were dust bowl and was almost impossible to keep clean. If you wanted to raise your windows for fresh air it reeked of dog poop! Walls in the units are very very thin and you can hear everything I mean everything including conversation and fights word for word. And weird things started to happen missing mail missing packages and other things. It finally came down to a shady, dishonest property management who could not remember what they told you or agreed upon from one day to the next who stooped so low as to create untrue lease violations and lie to attorney. I would not rent there besides that no special offers were giving upon lease renewals!
Nicole was very friendly and extremely helpful! She was able to answer all of my questions over the phone. You can tell she knows her stuff. I would recommend giving Alamo Ranch a look.
This is by far the worst apartment management I’ve ever experienced! I lived here for a year and had multiple issues. I’m in the military and was activated to help in Houston with the hurricane and was given notice that my pay was going to be late. When I spoke with management they told me they don’t give special treatment to tenants and if I couldn’t pay rent by the 10th I would be served with an eviction notice so I had to end up borrowing money to make rent. I spoke with them several times about ants and although they did have someone come out and spray it didn’t fix the issue and they were not responsive after that. They even threw out the AT&T modem I forgot was in the closet and told me it wasn’t their responsibility to hang onto other people’s property. There is so much more I could say and if I could give zero stars I would! Stay away from this place....it’s awful!
It only took a couple days after signing a 13 month lease to realize these apartments are trash. There is dust everywhere no matter how many times you clean or change the air filters. There is mold along every window and door and in the bathrooms that I had to constantly clean, then would grow back by the next day. I was pregnant and while living here I was always sick. After 12 months of living here when I was 9 months pregnant I Was having complications and decided I needed to move out to something more suitable for me and my soon newborn. The apartment staff had no sympathy. The property manager said I could move out and pay a 1,600 fee or she would be reporting to my credit. Dog crap everywhere, (around buildings 8,9,10 specifically) pool is always closed , gates are always broken and had to replace my remote more than once and maintenance will enter your apartment whenever they feel like it and not at the scheduled time, you pay $25 for your trash pick up and it gets left there for days, I couldnt ever find parking and would have to park far almost everyday. Not worth the price and i wouldnt recommend anyone live here.
Im here on my second month at Alamo Ranch and so far, my stay had been very pleasant. The noise is minimal. I asked Denise Bingham to help with me with broken mailbox and she did! Now my mailbox is fixed and she gave me new keys. I also asked that my bathroom countertop be replaced due to hard water stain on it and ta da! Today, I have brand new countertop in the bathroom. I am very happy with this apartment. Thank you Denise for taking care of my concerns. You deserve all the 5 stars!
Nicole was super helpful with my entire move-in process! Answered my many questions quickly and with great empathy and kindness.
Worst living experience ever! Will definitely let anyone looking for an apartment not to look at Alamo Ranch Apartments. We have had horrible experiences since day one. These past two months are our last and our power has turned off a total of about 8 times. Even after the breaker was “replaced” our power twitches. We have an infant at home while all of this is going on. On top of that we had to wait a month to get a return call from the office manager A MONTH! I can keep going but just typing is making me upset if I can give a ZERO star rating I would.
Thank you Alamo Ranch Apartments for housing my family. for year 2021 going into 2022 today was my last day in the apartment reason why i wanted to leave a review is because my Journey started here i moved from California to San Antonio they really made the process easy while i was still in California when i got here ,I was handed the keys a very smooth transition throughout my stay the office staff was helpful with answering my questions and getting any maintenance things done in my unit a clean and worry free environment, super inviting again thank you Alamo Ranch Team
The staff is very responsive and friendly! I have never been in a complex that works so hard to bring activities, food trucks, and overall fun for all. Great place to live and in the six months I have been here no problems. Highly recommend the property.
It mentions its dog friendly but that is a lie. The dog park doesnt even have grass and there are trees everywhere which doesnt give my dog access to run, really plus its pretty small and my dog doesnt even want to stay in there and thats when you know its bad. There have been several people that LIVE here that are not dog people complain about my dog. Why live here if you dont like dogs? And why take in people that dont like dogs in a place like this? For the money I guess.
If I could give 0 stars I would. The management team can care less about you or your concerns and smirk because they know you cant do anything about it. The fees to move out are ridiculous and they will tell you there is noone to talk to and yet the regional who reaches out laughs and says Im sorry u didnt read or understand your lease. They will down talk you and make you feel stupid. But trust me when its time to move in they will treat u like its all about you. You pay for trash pickup that wont get picked up and dogs get into it and you have to clean it up. You can finish your lease but because you work and didnt remember to give 60 day notice they assume you wanna stay and pay triple rent for month to month. There emails and calls are vague acting like they just want to talk about renewing and never reminding u they need a 60 day notice so you wont get screwed and pay rent for an apt u dont live in!! Please people really read these reviews and if you value your hard earned money sont stay here. Corporate you need to really look into these reviews and realize their is something wrong with this location all the way up to the regional.
The worst apartments in San Antonio. They constantly have excuses for why things dont go the way they are supposed to. Then moving out of this place is a joke. They give you this ridiculous list of things that MUST be done before you move out or you can pay them to do it for you. Well I did everything on that list, including scrubbing the carpet clean, only to be charged to clean and replace the carpet. Then when you try to call them, they dont answer the phone and dont return calls. Absolutely the most poorly managed apartment complex.
Alamo Ranch has amazing customer service really helpful ladies and the one that helped us a lot with translating with Spanish that was tremendously great help her name was Norma. She’s amazing and also Nicole thank u for ur great help
The location is perfect for Alamo Ranch. Move-in was smooth and Denise, MaryAlice, and JT took great care of my needs and made sure we were happy and satisfied. Hard to beat this place with so much hospitality. Maintenance is quicker than you can believe. Glad we picked this spot!
Lovely place to live. The pool is very relaxing, the gym has lots of equipment to use, laundry room looks like a whole different building, and best yet, maintenance is quick and good at what they do!
If I could give them negative stars I would. If you choose to live here dont ever plan to move out! Cause they are completely non understanding and will charge all these ridiculous costs. My husband recently got honorably separated from the military, which is protected in the military Claus which terminates any lease. He got orders and we literally moved the next day, so it was impossible to give a 30 days notice. We had to move to Oklahoma with family so we could look for jobs. They made us pay a whole months rent when we didnt even live there, now they are trying to charge us for the month free rent advertisement which was the only reason we chose these apartments they shouldnt advertise free rent if they are going to make you pay it in the long run. DO NOT MOVE HERE! Also if you move here expect to pay over $100 more for rent from all the little charges that they add.
Great location. Excellent customer service. Very family orientated free activities on a regular basis. Fast response to maintainance issues. Brilliant apartment to apartment on location transfers. Can only assume bad reviews come from bad renters. Never had an issue here.
One maintenance guy made himself available on a Saturday for an emergency call and we had an issue with our fire alarm and he came out and took care of it that day, adding it to his tasks. That was much appreciated.
Great Staff. Upon move in I had a few issues but the management office did everything to fix it and make sure I was satisfied. You cannot beat the location and convience of the Alamo Ranch area. The community is nice and quiet after hours and makes for a comfortable place to call home.
Had a great experience overall during my one year stay. Maintenance requests were addressed in a promptly manner and representatives in leasing office were always cordial and professional. Great community!
They are awesome. No delay when you call and they dont stop until completed. Thank you. :) :)
Love it love it!!! The community is great, staff is friendly and they go above and beyond. Location is perfect. Everything is within a few miles, restaurants, shopping, schools, grocery stores and movie theaters. Easy access to highway. Price is great, especially for location.
I am disappointed that virtually no one picks up after their pets! Also, the grounds have a lot of trash on them. Yard men were blowing hallways with their loud blowers at 8 am yesterday, and just blowing more trash out on the lawns.
Military members beware!!! If you are PCSd, even w/ orders, they will charge you a termination fee, ignore the military clause, and will charge you after you have vacated the premise. (Which is illegal) Unfortunetly even after receiving a certified letter of intent of legal action, they do not care about those of us who serve our country. The managment team was indifferent and showed lack of empathy. When PCSing, I dont have a choice. They made my move extremly stressful. All I have to say, take pictures of the apartment before and after, or they will charge you for everything.
Terrible experience there. Things were stolen and damaged on my porch and they charge extra for literally everything possible to raise your rent including $4 just for the paper bill. They are very shady when it comes to their business practices. They do not like to do initial walk through inspections, so I documented and showed them pictures of damages before I left. They said it was not an issue, but went around my back and reported $1044 in damages (which there were none) to my credit report and sent it to collections even though we provided them with a forwarding address (I never received any form of notification).
If I could give half a star gates are always out of order leading to cars getting stolen or broken in to. Cameras dont work. When maintenance employees come to check out problems theyre mean and vague in replying and solving problems (never fix anything correctly) if youre from a Latino Spanish speaking household. People get robbed of their money for what for administration not to care if your vehicle got stolen or broken into cause if they did care about the safety of their residents cameras would work as well as gates always closed and up running.
MAA gave me a warm welcome and helped me throughout the entire process with good energy and a willingness to help. I believe I have made a great choice selecting Alamo Ranch Apartments
Great place, great staff! very professional even when it’s not in their favor!
Nicole did an excellent job explaining the layout and living experience of Alamo Ranch. Definitely at the top of our list
Nicole, Norma, Faye and Mary Alice were all so pleasant to speak with when I visited the property.
Pretty disappointed with the lack of security this place provides. Two gated entrances have lead to a break in and another vehicle of mine being stolen. Management doesn’t seem to care either as there has been an increase in community posts the past couple months. Wouldn’t recommend an apartment here if you care about your personal belongings or safety of others.
Nicole was very helpful and answered any questions I had in a timely manner during the leasing process.
I have to say while they are nice, and clean, and big and in a great shopping area, they have one major design flaw. After living here almost a year I have found that you can here eeeverrryyything through the walls. I can actually hear my neighbors conversation in the apartment next door.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Gorgeous home of Alamo Ranch, great location! Gym, pool sand volleyball court. Nearby shopping area and school. Definitely recommend
Ms. Nichole is the sweetest, and most pleasant woman! She didn’t hesitate to help with with everything I needed
The staff was AWESOME with my move in! My apartment home was clean and functional. I’m happy I chose Alamo Ranch 😊
Norma in the front office was amazing!! She made us feel right at home and gave an excellent tour!!
Lady (very skinny with long dark hair) sharece showing the apartments is really rude I waited for about 15 min before she even acknowledged me then when she did she didnt even apologize for making me wait so long she just said what can I help you with then when she was showing the apartment she seemed to be in a rush (walking and driving the cart really fast) and I even had to ask her if she can show us the pool and gym and about other amenities the service I got from her just made the apartments seem ugly to me which I was very excited when I first got there but after I left it didnt feel like a good fit for me
The management staff at Alamo Ranch are wonderful. Nick is a great asset to the team and is always willing to help.
Everyone in the office is so sweet! They always go above and beyond with activities and the holiday events! Norma is the best!!!
Even though I submitted the maintenance request on the portal, still need to call them to ask them to call me about when the service personnel is coming. Then still comes unannounced.
Amazing place to live in, the prices are hard to beat for the location, my wife and I could not be happier this is our second year here and in her words “the free food is amazing”. The staff is really nice and cooperative with you
Helped us through the whole move in process without any issue and was really quick with responses when we needed assistance!! Highly recommend! Thank you so much Nicole!
If you are a veteran who wants fluctuating rent then this is the place for you. My experience was horrible with this place and a negative five stars is my rating. I will never rent an apartment again in my life. Slum lords!!!!!!!!!!
I am so happy with Alamo Ranch Apartments! It’s conveniently located with lots of shopping and restaurants around. The staff is super and maintenance team is phenomenal.
We had a great experience with Norma’s service. She was very helpful we really appreciate her
Terrible customer service here and a staff full of drama and unprofessionals. They charge a arm and a leg here for unserviceable dishwashers and being woken up 3x out the week to loud weed wackers at your window. Currently looking at other places to stay.
Nicole was a great leasing agent and helped with all my questions, much love
High turn over rate on employees, maintenance staff over worked under paid , work orders never addressed. Office staff lazy , gossiping in front office about residents. This is not an A property. Unsatisfied residents
Before I moved in April Nicolas help me out with all the information I needed to make my decision to choose Alamo Ranch Apartment to be my new home he was really helpful and Professional and I love my new home very Quiet And I would recommend this Apartment to anybody
Mary Alice is the sweetest!! Super friendly and helpful staff and beautifully kept property.
Ms Nicole was amazing she answered every question I had and made me feel super comfortable
Best staff in San Antonio (Mary Alice, Danielle, J.T., Denise and Nick) are top notch. Thank you all for an amazing experience.
Loved the patience of Nicole Prewitt thank you so very much for showing us around.
Great community, awesome staff, and beautiful apartments! Maintenance is always prompt and gets the job done right.
Just moved in last month. All the reviews were right. Denise has been wonderful in all our needs and has taken great care of us.
I love living here, never had any problems with neighbors or anything. The two ladies in the office are so nice!
We lived here for about one year. The staff were friendly enough however there were constant issues with ants as well as the ac units never operating properly.
Ive been through here several times, nice apartments, they have a good view of Helotes which has beyond nice hills.
Nicole was such a great help and she made the touring experience great !
Not a good experience overall. Staff is nice but not empowered to truly be advocates for tenants when it comes to important issues.
Worst apartments dont feel safe my car got broken into other cars get broken into and leasing office just say get police report, one of the gates dont work stays open and dog crap on the grass patches so look where you walk, it feels ghetto and renting a place thats like $1,200 a month you expect better
Great tour , love the area & the apartments, Thank you Norma !
The maintenance team does a great job. And the work is done faster
Wow they are crooks beware when you move out they try and stick you for every little thing ....my carpet just need a light shampoo in living room and they replaced it and charged 400$ said the whole thing needed replacement lies ....BEWARE!!
Dont listen to previous posts. Very clean. Great office staff. Nice pool. Maintenence very good.
Horrible customer service I’ve called several times and they pick up and hang up so I drove down there and when I arrived I saw that they were talking and decorating a Christmas tree please be more considerate of POSSIBLE future customers ..
Nichole was very knowledgeable! She went above and beyond
Nice staff and maintenance guy was nice and helpful. Property is really clean and nice.
I went on a tour! Great service! Nice complex
Nichole was very helpful and nice!! Thank you so much!
Living here is great! The staff is super friendly and helpful.
Gym is filthy. Never gets cleaned by users or apartment complex.
The agent Nicole was very helpful.
Norma M was great and very informative!
A great place to live. Management deserves high praise.
