I have lived here for 4 years now and I can strongly say that this is a great community with great office staff. It is located close to many restaurants and shopping. My needs have all been met even in high stress times when maintenance is busy. In the summertime my air-conditioning broke and the guys were there to fix it the same day. All of my neighbors have been nice and it’s a relatively quiet apartment complex. Also weekly landscapers come by and keep the property well maintained. I would recommend if you like a quiet nice place to live.

If you like having running water dont move in. They turn the water off for maintenance regularly without any form of notice. Has happened twice in less than a week.As well there is hardly any light at night here. Walking outside at night best you can hope is a neighbor left their porch light on so you can see where you are going plenty of lamp posts but hardly any work.

We are moving out at the beginning of the year and I honestly could not be more excited.Living at Maxwell the past two years has been an absolute nightmare. Between the apartment flooding 3 times, the A/C going out for weeks, the infestation of roaches and the constant neglect from staff, our living here has been a non-stop disaster.The staff seems like its always changing and it feels like in the past 2 years theres been multiple new managers and owners to constantly shift the blame on each other. Getting ahold of anyone from the front office is literally impossible. Ive sent multiple emails and am always ignored. Calling the emergency maintenance number is a complete joke. Each time out apartment flooded the first floor it took a minimum of 8 hours for someone to come help us.Our dishwasher went out almost a year ago and even after multiple submitted requests to get it looked at, nobody ever came out and its still broken. (Im sure well be charged for that 🙄) Ive had them close out maintenance requests without anyone even coming to look at what was broken, including when we got a leak in our ceiling that started getting mold. I submitted the request twice and it still took months before someone came to fix it. Same thing with our washer, which kept pouring water into the floor anytime it was ran, they closed out the maintenance request without coming out to look at it and we ended up fixing the washer ourselves.Also, dont expect staff to keep you informed about any maintenance being done, they will simply show up whenever they feel like it, if they even show up at all.The bugs are a major problem that you have to beg for them to fix. We had to have the entire apartment fumigated only to be told by the pest control guy that the roaches would more than likely come back because the entire building was infested with them, but not everyone was getting fumigated. They came back a few months later.People do not leash their dogs, they just open the front door and let them run out to do their business and then do not clean up after them. Our dog has been approached multiple times by strangers dogs while we have her leashed and it feels very unsafe.Also, they tested for Radon recently, but didnt really tell anyone why or what the test results came back with. It was very strange and felt like something youd probably want to keep your tenants informed about.I dont recommend anyone live here.Rent is very expensive and they keep raising it even without providing anything that makes it worth living here.

Terrible staff. had my car broken in. they refused to fix lighting outside. trash was always overflowing. pest constantly. dogs barking at all hours of the day and night. air condition flooded downstairs would only get to 75degres. they use the term under new management to get out of any issue. please look around before renting here so many nice places that are cheaper and cleaner

I have been stopping by since July 2024. I had the pleasure in July to speak with Riley who was and still is very pleasant with me. I was able to make contact last week with Jessica Cortes who happened to answer the phone after my 3rd attempt. The answering service is horrendous and they hang up on you and don’t actually help Maxwell Townhomes’ image. Just the same, I finally went for my tour today after applying last week for a 2 bedroom. Jessica assisted me and she is super nice, great, and cared about my needs. Riley answered some of my questions via Jessica. I am so looking forward to moving there and just waiting to be approved which Jessica is “on it”. I have read all reviews, but folks, try searching for a better community with the prices Maxwell offers, AND YOU WON’T EVEN COME CLOSE. I know since I have been searching since July. The office staff stays busy and I mean busy, but a smile, persistence, and a kind attitude when you walk in is all you need. I am not there yet, but trust me, you cannot beat this place all the way around. So please give the staff a break and I promise you, you won’t regret it.Yes, I have worked with three other people there, one who moved to another property and he was attentive. One of the other two was slammed but she still answered my question. The other, well you can’t have perfect. My guess is that they will eventually catch on to her. Just the same, do not let one bruised apple make your decision as 1 out of 6, now 5 staff members I have encountered, does not make them all a bruised apples.Thank you, Riley and Ms. Jessica; appreciate you both! I have lived on property for 2 years.I’m upgrading to a new unit for my 3rd year.I have zero bugs in my unit, my A/C is always working and has never given me any issues.Front office and manager have never rubbed me the wrong way. It’s a shame that the only reviews are coming from people who have bad experiences.Personally I think the property is very nice and overall I enjoy living here.Iv been in much worse.If you are looking to move in , I’d definitely recommend it! Just understand you are living in an apartment complex. Things won’t be 100% perfect all the time. Be kind and curious to the staff about issues you have and it will be taken care of (:

Our family moved out of their complex on 10/21/2021- the date our lease expired. We, as much as we tried, left the place in good standing as the pictures indicate. We vacuumed the carpet, swept and mopped all the floors, and we cleaned the countertops and kitchen appliances. The keys were dropped off at the front door of their office as instructed by management. Before my wife finished sprucing the place up, she took a video of the place just in case. No one from the front office or their management team did a final walk through with us, so it was best if we had evidence that we left the place in good standing. They later sent us a bill for several bogus charges which are:Access Cards/Keys $4.06These we turned into the front as per management. It is not a big charge, and honestly, it is the least of my worries.Vinyl Damages $225There was one hole in the cheap vinyl that the rear leg of our couch dug into, but it only managed to “damage” 2 planks at the most.There was also a stain that was in the washing machine room that was caused by a leaky valve that we reported to them to come fix. We tried our best to soak up as much of the water that was coming out of that very old valve, but it did leave a water mark. Even though we reported it immediately, they still took their time to come and repair it.Holes in Wall $100There might have been several holes less than a quarter inch big that we made when we hung picture frames or decorations. There was a stain left on the wall caused by a candle we left on overnight during the 2021 Freeze, but honestly that couldve been painted over.Cleaning $75WE CLEANED EVERYTHING. As the pictures indicate, the floors are clean, you can see the carpets still have vacuum marks, and the whole kitchen looks spotless (even the counters have a reflection).Carpet $447.34The carpet was left better than when we received it (they nor the previous tenants cleaned the place). It was vacuumed thoroughly and at no time did we ever leave stains or damage it. Wow this one is crazy. I honestly do not know where they are getting this from.It is sickening that they can charge this to people and get away with it. My wife and I worked tirelessly trying to leave the place in good standing to avoid this kind of trouble, and we had never had this problem before at any other rental property. We talked to a person by the name of Dorian Pennington Obispo who works for Greystar, the company that owns the townhomes. He said he would get together with the people from management to verify our disputes and that he would soon get back to us because they were switching companies or management? He never did get back to us. That was back in November 2021. Now the bill is showing up in our credit report under Genesis Credit Management. The man my wife spoke to, Royce, said our video is not proof enough and demanded we pay the full amount. So, now this is on our credit. Then they want to tell you that they are under new management as if that makes anything better? These apartments are old and obviously need renovating. It just sucks that they have to make their tenants pay for it. This is what youll have to deal with.

Save yourself the trouble and listen to the reviews. Been living here for a month, our apartment wasn’t ready on move in day. They submitted maintenance requests for everything the day we moved in (or so I thought). No one has came to fix it. Our heater was out during the cold front (it’s been a week and no one’s came). Now that it’s warm again our ac stopped working. The office staff hasn’t helped at all. Everything seemed great until we moved in. There’s a roach problem, the upstairs rail is so loose it’s scary, the carpet isn’t even fully put down, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned when we moved in, dog poop everywhere in the complex, the front gate JUST got fixed after being broken for three weeks. Mailboxes are all busted up. The unit you tour will look amazing, but don’t expect to get what you’re looking at. It’s not worth what you’re paying for it

Absolutely terrible experience, I have never paid so much money to have so many issues and disrespect from management. They do not care at all about the quality of living for their tenants. I have a child in the home and we have had roaches, a major leak, mold, flooded laundry room, and our ac does not function properly and it is almost 80 degrees in our apartment at all times. Reilly is incredibly rude and will literally just gaslight you and dismiss you. The way she treats and talks to tenants is disgusting. I have gone through hell since I’ve been here in just 3 months. No one should have to jump through so many hoops to make sure management does their job. Save your money and your mental health and look somewhere else. Looking at the other reviews I can see that the owner will respond and tell me to email the company email to discuss but let me just say to stop before you’re ahead because I have already emailed several times literally over a week ago and NO response. They NEVER respond. Seriously, run. Find somewhere else to live.

First of all these apartments are not what you see online. The staff shows you their newly renovated model which looks great and then when you get your apartment it looks nothing like it. The staff is rude. The community is not safe DEA and cops filled the parking lot two weeks ago. I have had to submit service requests everyday since I’ve moved in and they still have done nothing about it. I haven’t even been In my apartment for 2 months! Then my washer has been throwing water out filling my wash room up with water. The office had the audacity to tell us to switch our detergent as if our choice of detergent was causing the flooding!!! I’m so upset. I can’t wait to move out. I do not recommend this place for anyone. Oh, did I mention the amenities they offer broken, dirty and filthy. Hope this helps anyone interested in moving here. Can’t forget about a roach infestation!

I know this place has a lot of questionable reviews but I’ve actually had great luck with them. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, my place had a roach problem and they took care of it pretty quickly and have been very flexible when it comes to payments. Had a water leak emergency on this Saturday evening at 8:30pm. Called to submit an emergency ticket and they showed up in about 25min to take care of the issue. I was very appreciative for the urgency in response to my call. Thank you for you help maintenance team! 👏🏽

DO NOT LIVE HERE!I recently moved out with my boyfriend and let me tell you this is the worst apartment I’ve ever lived! The front office and management are the worst! If you ever have to call the front office good luck bc they never answer the phone even if you get ahold of someone they will act like you are bothering them and give you attitude, don’t even bother with management bc they won’t fix any of your problems either! Thanks Reilly and Lorraine.Maintenance is the worst they take forever to get things done, we had our a/c break 3 different times hitting at 80-85 and was told by front office that it wasn’t an emergency and couldn’t even do anything to make us comfortable in our home. Our drain had broke and it took them over a month just to get it fixed and even when they did fix it they didn’t do it right making my kitchen flood!This place is so dirty has so many roaches and trash everywhere! I had to be extra careful walking my dog he had gotten attacked 2 different times bc no one leashes their dogs.This place is so unsafe the gate breaks at least every week having weird people show up and yell all hours of the night and not to mention our mail keeps getting stolen.Move out has been a nightmare we cleaned and just for it to not matter bc they just add fees to get more money.I wish i would have listened to the reviews I’ve never spent so much money to have so many problems!

I’ve been having problems with my AC. I currently have a newborn baby, my apartment gets as hot as 83 degrees. We got a doctors note due to my baby’s medical condition. it states the temperature needs to be set between 68-72 degrees to MAINTIAN HIS HEALTH. My husband went and showed this to the manager, she showed no sympathy at all to this matter & pretty much said the note doesn’t matter and didn’t apply to them. I’ve had issues with my AC since I moved in here but recently again. We (including my husband, & 2 children) are needing to stay somewhere else to maintain my baby’s health & yet we still pay our rent. We pay over $1400 of rent each month, and we can’t even enjoy it. I just want out of my lease. I’ve made complaints when we first moved in in October, and that caused the manager and I to go back in forth in emails. This time, I emailed her once when I came home from the hospital with my newborn and her response was pretty much stating that the AC was working the way it was supposed to. I have never lived anywhere where they say it’s okay to hit over 80 degrees in your apartment/house. After I received this email I chose not to respond because I didn’t want to go back and forth with her like last time. This is the most horrible place I’ve lived in. Currently looking for an attorney to see what next steps we can take.

I’m gunna keep it real with ya’ll, this place SUCKS! The staff, maintenance and especially management is horrible. Making a maintenance request is a 50/50, half the time you’re not gunna hear back from them, half the time your problem won’t even be fixed, either way, you’re losing. If you yourself are a handy man and plan on fixing everything yourself, this is probably your ideal living situation. I was without AC for 2 months straight, 80 degrees at the lowest point, couldn’t stand in my unit without sweating, extremely uncomfortable living, especially in this Texas heat. I had to call and call and bug the office every other day and all they could tell me was that “it wasn’t an emergency so it’s not a priority” thanks for the help Kianna! You’re a prime example of what makes this place horrible. After the 2 month period, it was finally fixed, only to break down again 2 weeks later. Then having to wait another month (if I’m lucky) till they come back around to service my unit after their endless backlog of other residents with the same issue. I feel as if the amount I pay in rent doesn’t reflect my living situation, You’d think AC would be among the most basic of amenities when it comes to renting, I guess not here atleast. The office HATES answering the phone, and when they do manage to answer (1 in 10 chance) they are extremely rude and unhelpful every time. When you ask to speak with management they are always “busy” or “not there.” The few times I actually did speak with Reilly or Loraine, I couldn’t believe these people were the people in charge. Zero help! Makes me wonder what these people even get paid to do. The place is extremely dirty, trash everywhere, dumpsters get overfilled, furniture on the side of the road, no one picks up after their dogs, so many people who don’t even bother putting a leash on their dogs, I had to take extra caution when walking my pets, they were attacked twice at this property. This might sound mean but also, the people who live here are genuinely SO WEIRD! Everyone makes me so uncomfortable. I’ve had to live with people outside screaming at each other, all hours of the night. The cops being across my unit at the neighbors atleast twice once a month, if not, more. You can’t walk to your car without people stopping and staring at you. Cars will just park in the middle of the road and turn on their hazards as if that means they can just block you from driving through??? I don’t know man… the actual unit was nice and all but EVERYTHING else makes this place garbage. What’a shame!

I have 7 days with the damaged a/c reported as an emergency with a hellish temperature, the technician calls me back and tells me that he does not work at night because they can take away his license and that this is not an emergency, the technician comes on Monday it does not last even 5 minutes and says that it is ready that he checks it again and when I review the order it comes out closed as resolved, I put the order back in and I have to call the office again upset because I had 4 days paying for hotel, a week buying food because the hot doesnt let you do anything in the house, they send the technician again, he couldnt be in the house of the hot guy who was, at the same time he tells me that he is going to come back to see if it works, Hours passed and I had to call again and they tell me that they are going to bring a portable air to a room, an air with a bad smell and full of cockroaches, I go to the office today and they tell me to call emergency, I called 2 times the hours go by and nothing I go to the office and the young lady from the office tells me Calm me down, that she only works in the office, that the manager doesnt answer, the maintenance guy comes in when she tells me again to call the emergency but the technician says that I already called 2 times and that he cant fix it, and the young lady in the office tells me that I should wait for Tuesday, My kids and dog are here desperate, I missed a day of work yesterday, my son also missed a day of work waiting for them, I spent money for hotel 4 nights, Im spending money to buy food because I cant cook because of the heat and she says I should wait until Tuesday as if I requested service for a damaged washing machine, The temperature all week has been hellish and today its 101 with a wind chill of 109 and I have to wait, thats inhumane, animals arent even treated like that.Today 05/28/24 I went to the office and the manager, treated me like a dog and took me out of the office like an animal because she doesnt speak Spanish and told me that I have to wait, when the temperatures are hellish and I havent been able to be at home, but Im paying for hotel and food because of them, 9 days today no response. I thought about renewing my contract but I wont, the staff I was there when I moved in was very different from these who treat people like cheers.and the maintenance guys sitting in the office with air while I cant be in a house that I pay rent, extreme temperatures are an emergency, but they dont care, theyre not professional and they treat people like trash.I have never complained the floor is damaged since the first month I moved in because of a water leak which is their problem and I never complained now because the weather is inhumane they treat me worse than a dog

I would do 0 stars if I could. Our AC doesn’t work. they’ve come & “fixed” it once, they didn’t let us know they were coming and nothing changed. It is constantly freezing up even though we don’t keep the temperature less than 71. When it freezes up, we have to turn the heat on and let it thaw out (in 100 degree weather). We have changed the filter 5 times because it gets disgusting quickly. We have to empty the water out of the pan with a cup and a bowl and the floor has flooded, that’s what they had come and cleaned up rather than fix the AC. It’s so disgusting, filled with dirt & Mold. We find roaches and bugs in our stuff, pest control comes out rarely, if you go to the pool after dark it’s like every roach in san antonio comes out and hangs there, they swarm the ground.this place is nasty, me my kids mom & my 2 year old kid are subjected to this & our kid is consistently overheating so we have to take him elsewhere and stay outside the apartment we pay $1800 a month for.DO NOT MOVE HERE, it’s GROSS, DIRTY & management doesn’t care about you.

This is by far the nastiest trashiest place I’ve ever lived in.We moved in on March 28th, everything was broken. We had doors that weren’t properly on hinges and couldn’t open closets. Our dryer has NEVER worked properly, and the dishwasher hasn’t worked since move in. My toddler went into an empty cabinet upon move in and ate BORIC ACID (put there to kill roaches we were unaware of) and I had to call poison control to figure out what to do. The A/C unit consistently freezes up and we have to leave it off to let it thaw, and we have been putting in nearly daily maintenance requests that have not been completed. It also leaks dirty filthy water everywhere.We never had any type of deadbolt when we moved in (that’s ILLEGAL) and it took them over a month to come in and install one after several work orders, despite having a 2 year old that can open and close doors. They also tried telling me they didn’t have to install one (false) and that if the door was deadbolted and maintenance needed to come in the could break the door or window to do so and it would be our problem. state law says after a reasonable time frame (it says 3-7 days) they should be able to install one snd I should’ve reported them but I didn’t.We have found roaches, flies, and most recently a giant scorpion in our apartment. We have a TODDLER who plays on the floor and for so many other reviews to be complaining about the bugs and y’all not to do anything is SICK.Maintenance ALLEGEDLY comes in and “fixes things” they don’t call, you come home and find a paper slip. It’s also the only apartment complex I’ve ever been in where maintenance doesn’t give you a heads up about coming, so I don’t know if they’re actually working on things or not.We had a hole in the wall due to us moving furniture in the hallway and they did come and reasonably fix the thermostat since it get knocked out of place BUT they left a larger hole we had to end up filling ourselves BECAUSE WE HEARD RATS MOVING AND SCREECHING IN THE WALLS.We pay $30 to take our own trash to the dumpster that is located 25 feet out our front door, we pay $8 for “amenities” that consist of a gym with a broken AC unit (it’s about 110 degrees in there, not safe), a pool that is infested with MASSIVE roaches, and a basketball hoop that’s shattered. We pay $55 for a washer and dryer fee but the dryer doesn’t work right and we have to dry clothing 6 times (not an exaggeration literally 6 times) for it to become only slight damp enough that it won’t mold and we can take it out. They also tacked on a random $100 water fee from two months ago with no valid explanation.We moved back after living in dallas texas the past year paying $1500 + utilities a month for our rent and hearing gunshots outside on the daily and I wholeheartedly miss that place so much because at least they’d come and fix the issues we had inside. It’s so disgusting here, we are currently saving money to break the lease because this is by far the most unsafe and unpleasant I’ve experienced.Our rent by the way is now over $1850 a month for this garbage. I used to pay less when living at the luxury apartments across from the JW Marriott (The View at TPC) so if y’all can afford this dump I’d recommend looking there instead!

Save yourself the trouble and do NOT stay here. I really enjoyed this property for the first 7 months. Even though we had a big roach problem when we first moved in. I requested pest control, they did nothing so I bought my own spray and took care of the pest myself. It’s a nice quiet area with an easy commute to work. Now I have my first major maintenance issue. My dryer will not get hot anymore to dry my clothes. We pay $50/ month to rent the washer and dryer that came with the unit. We’ve been waiting a month so far and still no response from maintenance. I’ve gone to the office about this and emailed the property manager. All they tell me is the maintenance workers are going down the list of request they have. I asked if the $50 fee could be waived since I can’t use the machine and all the manager said was maybe the lint trap is full. Now the water in my bathtub is leaking and I’m wondering how long before they get to that problem. The only reason I still live here is because I want to buy a house and don’t want a broken lease to stop that. I definately won’t be renewing my lease here though when it ends. The new property team do not care at all. They’re too busy having ice cream parties to actually fix any issues the residents are having.

Homey townhome, it is an older complex, not everything is perfect, there is room for growth, but it adds quirky character. Staff has been nice to me. I have been here a few weeks, and am excited to make this a home for me and my husband. The location is great, beautiful trees everywhere. Gatewise app is super cool to get in and out of the complex, gym, and package room.

If I could give zero stars I would. Been here for a little bit and about to be moved out in a few days. Well not to long ago I had submitted a maintenance request for the tub that just happened to get a hole in it which in the picture you can see below the faucet which is a metal circle there is a gap there which I guess over time filled with water and eventually made a whole in the tub. Well I was told different things, maintenance was going to fix it and now I have to pay 1700 (more than the rent itself) for this tub. As you can see there’s no proper ventilation due to the swelling walls in the tub and moisture pockets above the tub. Now tell me how that would be my fault and why I would put in a maintenance request to get this fixed to prevent further damage. The woman at the front office gave me a harsh time and was extremely in professional and kept saying I had to pay for a whole new tub that I can’t enjoy and cost more than my rent and utilities combined!! Note to self if you’re moving out of the complex and have some kind of damage, they will probably just blame you and make you pay. They do not care about their residents and do not recommend! Not happy about what I have to pay its ridiculous, hopefully a lawyer could help in this situation and a outside inspector can evaluate the apartment itself to write down what caused the issues and take it from there. Oh and mold galore

Absolutely infested with roaches and management lies. Any food goes into ziploc bags and stays in the fridge because you dont want even unopened cereal in the pantry...roaches even in those boxes. I spray EVERY morning and before laying down, blocked every drain... Still kill tiny roaches every day... I hate this place. Pay for pest control but Ive not seen them even once. You will regret moving here, do not do it.

The slew of negative reviews have already said it all (roaches, dirty, trash everywhere, frequent water shut offs with little warning, stolen mail, filthy upon move-in, etc), but what really got me were maintenance issues.My downstairs toilet didn’t work properly the entire year I lived there despite maintenance coming out again and again and again to “fix” it. When I stated this, amongst MANY other reasons, was why I chose not to renew my lease, the community manager offered to “upgrade and replace the toilet with a new one if [I] wanted to stick around”… Seriously? You only offer to finally replace something that hadn’t been functioning properly for a year if I agree to continue living there? Completely unhinged behavior.

We’re ending week 3 with no heating or AC. We have been in contact with the office and have submitted maintenance requests, but have not received any follow up communication and there has been no resolution. We had a visit and someone did come out to take a look at our outdoor unit and left wires exposed. The front office let us know the maintenance team is working on work orders as they come in. We have also been told our situation is not an emergency nor a priority. Understandable —it’s a large property. However, it also leaves me to wonder how many others are also without AC if there is such a long work order list. We would just appreciate a comfortable living space especially for our toddler and puppies.

Ok so an honest reviewWeve been here for about two years, our first unit was nice, no real complaints aside from there being roaches, not an uncommon thing, but obviously an annoyance. We moved units mainly because we wanted a bigger space, but also due to the roachs. The next unit had a handful of issues, but management was patient with us and helped a lot. Maybe 4 months in to the new lease we decided to change units again due to the issues we were having. Again, management was more than understanding and helped us into a new unit. Reilly was super helpful, they saved us money and the new unit even though they didnt have to, they were understanding even when we were taking our frustrations out on them. The place isnt perfect, I think its a luck thing with the roaches, our first unit had them but that hasnt been an issue with the other units, I think you have them or you dont, which sucks, but its kinda just is what it is. The complex is old, but theres been significant efforts to improve the loving quality here. Overall, like I said its not perfect, but, even through some of our struggles here I still recommend this place to people, its nice here for the most part, its a nice area, the people are friendly.

My brother lived there for a year. He now has stage 4 liver cancer and placed on hospice. Now has had to be moved to a nursing facility. Our family and his Church family hurriedly moved everything out of the apartment. My wife and I went to turn the keys in.Never did they ask how he was doing. All they care about is the money 💰. Took forever to take care of leaks, roaches. Terrible people. Very Sad!

My husband and I moved into Maxwell in the beginning of January 2023. When we moved in the complex front office was very helpful. The complex was relatively clean and the amenities were awesome.Since then however, everything has gone downhill.Theres trash everywhere and nobody picks up after their dogsWe have been fighting a pest problem for the last few months. The pest people would come out and not really do anything. It wasnt until recently we had someone come in and take us seriously. The only problem being that communication on time of treatment has been handled unprofessionally. I was never given a time frame on time of fogging, aside from sometime today This has made it very difficult to plan around, because we have to keep our dog out of the house during treatment.Our second problem is much more recent. We put in a work order a few days ago that our A/C unit was making a horrible loud noise and late Sunday it went completely out. I understand that there is a waiting list and lot of people whos A/Cs have not properly maintained, but a general time frame would be nice. Our apartment is 89 degrees and rising.Our apartment has also flooded 3 times from different causes, to the point most of our downstairs was full of standing water that damaged some of our things. It took hours for anyone to come out to help us, even after calling the emergency line.Our washer is leaking water. Ive made multiple requests for them to fix it, and nobody came out. Ive been fighting this for weeks and when I checked the recent request it showed it was cancelled, but nobody actually came out to look at it. This was even after I spoke with one of the maintenance guys and he said hed look at it the next day.This has been a long battle, and we were hoping to renew our lease in January, but unless they are able to resolve the issues, we will be forced to rent somewhere else.

Mold in the units, trash everywhere & roach infested like a dump yard. Ok. Let me preface with this.....The last time I tried to write a review, it was removed. We arent going to do this again because I have some very special people on speed dial. So, lets keep this review up.Second, I know how complexes work. All these good reviews, one behind the other look very forced. Lets not lie folks. Now, onward to my review.Lets start with the office......when I first walked in, there was a stench. It smelled more like it was from a person than just an unclean office smell. Please get that remedied and make sure your workers are bathing because that’s unnatural. Next, lets get to the property management. Reilly is not to be trusted honestly. She plays nice in your face when you move in, but once youre in, her demeanor changes. Apparently no one knew I walked in because there was a lot of talking and commotion going on.I overheard an agent asking Reilly to fix something because the people were moving in soon. Reilly flat out said Im not doing it. Its not that serious. This explains why when I moved in my apartment, things were not together. The drawers were hanging crooked when I moved in, the counters were not clean at all, the dishwasher was DIRTY, and....THE BABY ROACHES! There were quite a few of baby roaches that showed up very quickly. We all know when you see multiple babies, theres an infestation. Talking to other residents had me find out Im not the only one with this issue. As I looked through the apartment more, I saw more roaches. I just signed the lease and didnt want a broken lease. I got stuff to try to take care of the roaches and it only kept them at bay for a little while. This past summer was very brutal. My AC unit decided to stop working and my indoor thermostat was reading almost 90° inside. I had some smaller indoor thermostats and those were reading 97º. This issue never got fixed. I had to sweat the entire summer in my unit that I now feel I was overpaying for. I called immediately and they said that they had many work orders but this was going to get fixed quick. It was never fixed. I had to keep calling to get them to put it as an emergency. They had me in the HEAT. I was spoken to like I was nobody by Reilly. How do you treat your residents like this? Reilly is rude, incompetent, and only cares about herself when it comes to being personable with the residents. Upper management needs to take a look in to her because if this is who you have running your properties, your business will never flourish. One thing I can say about the office staff is that the ladies, I believe Kasey and Kayla, were so sweet and nice. They were absolute peaches when I moved in. I went back there just to say hello to those ladies because they really took care of me and to my surprise, they were both gone. Im hoping it was onward to bigger and better opportunities because they seemed to be too good to work at this place. I can now see why there was a news crew there and no one lied about how residents are treated. If my review is removed, I will be contacting KSAT, NEWS4, Kens5, and others for an interview and bring them to the property and let them know everything. These reviews are for you to improve your business. So, Ill say it again, if its removed, Ill be contacting new stations and Im pretty sure no one wants that attention. DO BETTER.You won’t see a Jessica A because I’m an old resident and I REFUSE to put my real name on here with y’all because I won’t be talked crazy to, or harassed because I told the truth. Lived here for 9 months and loved the location. Felt like I was near everything. Front office staff were very friendly and welcoming as well. The buildings are pretty old and I did noticed when I requested a maintenance issue it would be fixed temporarily. Then I’d call again for the temp fix to be fixed.Lived in Building W-1 and noticed our upstairs neighbors always letting their dogs loose near our patio and never picking up their dogs feces which resulted in a lot of flies, and a bad smell anytime I had to laundry (laundry room is outside on patio). Walls are thin too so would always hear pets walking around and playing or howling at night.Also noticed A LOT of cockroaches coming through as well. Killed about 14-20 roaches in one day. I requested an exterminator which didn’t do much unfortunately. The only thing that really helped were closing up the sinks after each use. These roaches were HUGE. Pretty sure the building was infested but didn’t really do much investigating haha.Another con was Parking. If you don’t pay for reserved spots you’re screwed in finding parking at least near building W-1There were pros and cons but overall, it was decent! Not decent enough to renew my lease though.

Office manager Rylee is rude and very unprofessional. Had a water issues last week after they turned off the water for two days straight during business hours. We complied with it, then the time comes when we can use our water and everything started flooding sewer water. Call the emergency line and say they’ll come in the morning or last Friday. No one came, someone shows up at 3pm and says I can’t use my washer but they fixed my sink. Said they’ll be back Monday or Tuesday still haven’t came. Maintenance people told her they came to my place Wednesday I have a ring doorbell so they lied said they were denied entry but I was home all day. She continues to have their back when she knows they obviously lied. Told her we need the washer my son is special needs and has a lot of accidents so she continues to say we lied and says she was going to take all our work orders down and not have anyone come today or Friday. Then says are issues we are having isn’t an emergency or that important than other people. But yet we are paying for the washer dryer and other appliances that suck. They can’t even fix the cabinets because the apartments are “old”. Just put wood to hold them up which is crazy. She was angry with us for being upset but wouldn’t you be upset if this happened to you? Also threatens us to violate our lease because the way I was talking. She shouldn’t be manager if she’s going to be acting like a petty person.

I am a current resident and this is the first property I have ever encountered that doesn’t open residents doors if you get locked after hours. I had my keys stolen and I didn’t have access to my vehicle or my apartment, I have two small children and at 6 pm they refused to have maintenance come, I would’ve been ok with a fee as that would be expected. But no, they simply say it’s not their problem, so we had to pay to have the door lock removed so my babies wouldn’t have to stay out in the rain. This is what pushed us over the edge and we will not be renewing.Maintenance here is hell, the complex is very old and the “renovations” are so cheap and badly done, then they try to upcharge you for everything. From the first week we moved in we had maintenance issues and to this day some of them still haven’t been taken care of. The office staff has different people every 2 months, the front gates break monthly, cars get towed for no reason, and don’t get me started on the massive piles of trash that accumulates by the dumpster because people throw bags all over the floor in that area. Just save yourself the trouble, it’s not a nice place to live, it doesn’t feel safe, it’s not comfortable. For this price you can get much much much better.Edit: UPDATEMail boxes have been broken into and packages are being stolen. The office refuses to fix the broken mail boxes and claim that WE as residents need to directly contact USPS to have the mailboxes fixed. So they basically want us residents to do their job for them. To make everything worse, their response is condescending and not empathetic at all. DO NOT waste your hard earned money in this dump, the management is what’s the issue here. In my 15 years of property management I’ve never experienced such bad service to a property.EDIT UPDATE mar 2024:The lock to the master bedroom broke and locked us out of the bedroom, of course as expected maintenance doesn’t come out for “lock outs” and we have been trying to open it ourselves without breaking it without luck. Now we will be late to work because we have no access to our bed room, we will have to sleep on the floor because we only have one small couch, no blankets because they’re in the bedroom, no pjs, no cellphone because it’s charging next to the bed…NO nothing. Now we are forced once again to pay someone to come and open it for us. BEWARE! This is the only place I’ve ever known of that doesn’t take care of this type of emergencies!!!!

Tiana the lady in the front office is very unprofessional she gives you dirty looks like your annoying or slow and is very short with you and makes you feel unwelcomed and as if she doesn’t want to help. I got denied but I honestly feel like it was a blessing in disguise I would never want to rent at a place that the staff makes me feel unwelcomed before even getting in there. Management is very important because these are the people I have to turn to and rely on throughout my lease I would not recommend anyone to rent here as long as she’s working there.

They did not know any information about the apartment I was supposed to see today. I was talked down to like i didnt matter. The apartment is not available until may 31st. Bad experience for me. We have been without ac working well since Monday after noon in 100 degree heat. We have a serious pest issue. Every maintenance request takes weeks to be filled. I keep calling to get an eta for the ac and no one can give me anything. No offers for hotel or to take money off the rent. They are very quick to charge when they see your dog got out or anything. I will not renew my lease here. The apartment living is supposed to be low maintenance that is not the case here.

While the apartments are not in 100% perfect condition right now, the new property manager, Mrs. Jamie Garza, is working very hard to remodel and make everything look wonderful! On top of that, all of the staff are very attentive and pay mind to any questions and concerns we may have. We mentioned not having a dog waste station closer to our apartment ONE time, and the very next week, she had one up! We feel heard and tended to in these apartments, and they do lots to keep things entertaining for their community. Everyone is very kind, there’s a lovely park, a dog park, and TWO pools that are kept very clean, a tennis court, basketball court, and beautiful scenery. It certainly is a very peaceful and lovely place to be living

This is absolutely the WORST property I have ever lived in! The management does NOTHING about complaints, our unit was not even ready upon move in. They do MULTIPLE water shut offs, horrible roach problems, and take MONTHS to complete a work order. I am a disabled veteran & we had a hole in our ceiling directly underneath the bathroom upstairs. This was a complete safety hazard as I am already disabled, I will be suing!! Listen to these reviews and don’t waste your time considering this as a place to live

If I could give them a 0 I would. 2021-2023 was the worst 2 years of my life because of them, if you thinking about maxwell run! Please don’t let the new pavement and exterior paint fool you it’s not worth the price. Sorry it’s long but multiple examples (not all of the examples) of bad/rude management. 1st our home was around 80 degrees on a normal basis. for a year we complained since summer 2022 maintenance would never come, so I had to go to corporate for them to even come out. I stated multiple times that the air flow can’t be correct I have to keep 4 fans on constantly even with blackout curtains in the room and it was still unbearably hot we couldn’t even be upstairs comfortably until after 12am. Their response was they put a piece of paper to the vent and said see it’s air coming out(I didn’t see the paper move at all) just keep the room door open to circulate air. This was right around the time our first year was ending so we didn’t have time to find somewhere else and they promised the new owners/management would be better. They also promised to clean our carpets free of charge but never did even after I asked. Our tub floor was ripping and we asked for it to be replaced they said okay and after a month with an attitude they finally called a contractor to come out. Then we had a leak coming from the water heater and I called and was yelled at for not calling the emergency line but they would come out. once the leak spread across the floor I called the emergency line just for them not to come for 2days to “fix it” then not even 24 hours later it leaked again. They came out 2-3 times before it was ever fixed. Then we had a ceiling leak during the week long rain the beginning of the summer and it took them 3 days to come out even though I told them it was spreading across the ceiling. We were told a contractor would have to come out. After a week we called back and they said oh we didn’t know (clearly forgot) we will have them come out the end of the week. The last issue we had the microwave went out and they took 4 weeks to replace it because “emergency request come first” which is crazy when my past emergency requests were never treated like an emergency. I understand short staff with maintenance but when I called for updates or issues I’m always rushed off the phone as if im a bother. When it was time to move out we gave them the 60 day notice then never heard from them. I had to reach out myself to ask what the process was, what the prorated rent was and if they had a move out check list? They told me no they don’t have a checklist and I have to do the math myself for prorated rent. Now on to today we received an email that we owe almost a thousand dollars to them. When my fiancé called they stated it was for carpet cleaning and water bill even though we paid the prorated amount for water and they never cleaned the carpet like they stated they would for us the year prior and there was not 900 worth of carpet damage. When my fiancé asked for clarification he was told ”I will not go back and forth with you” These people are the rudest management company I have ever dealt with and for your own piece of mind stay away!! If you think it’s just me, note that majority of my neighbors have or in the process of moving out for similar reasons.**UPDATE**After reaching out to corporate I was contacted my maxwells manager Riley who used to be the manager for a short time a year ago but is back. We had a pleasant conversation and I was able to ask questions about my chargers and get my current issue resolved. I believe if she was never transferred from maxwell my last year would not have been so difficult. I’m glad for current residents that she is back and that she validated my concerns which I felt like happened for the first time. I’m glad to get my moving issue resolved and close this chapter.

**BLACK MOLD, COCHROACH INFESTATION, NO MAINTENANCE REPAIRS, DOES NOT HEAT OR COOL PROPERLY, NO SECURITY PERIMETER FENCE, POOR MAINTENTENCE**Just the tip of the iceberg:Avoid falling victim to the Updated apartment bait-and-switch tactic. My experience living in this townhome has been extremely unpleasant, prompting me to take legal action to expedite my departure. The apartment they initially showcase appears to be in impeccable condition. However, as numerous reviews have pointed out, the actual apartments fall far short of this standard, and maintenance issues remain unaddressed. Rather than hiring professional contractors, sub-par maintenance personnel merely apply temporary fixes, often resulting in more damage.Since the day I moved in, my toilets have not functioned correctly. It took six months for someone to attempt a Repair, which ended up causing sewage to leak directly into my kitchen, covering my countertops, dishes, and everything else. This occurred over a month ago, and I still have a substantial hole in my ceiling, covered haphazardly with a trash bag. Numerous other maintenance requests have gone unanswered, leaving me paying $1800 per month for an apartment that is quite literally falling apart.As others have stated, the A/C does not heat or cool the house correctly. Upstairs one room is freezing, the other is over 80 degrees and cant be used, the downstairs will not go below 75 even with blackout curtains. In the winter it is the same, it is unbearably hot in one room and freezing in all of the others (the same room).Reilly, the manager, is an absolute nightmare to deal with. When I approached her to clarify some concerns, she continually talked over me, raised her voice, and essentially bullied me out of her office. This happened despite my legitimate security worries regarding the property. Instead of maintaining a professional demeanor, she chose to deflect the situation and dismiss my inquiries as insignificant inconveniences to her day. This isnt the first time she reacted that way so I made sure to record the interaction this time around.I sought her assistance regarding a broken lock at the back of the property, where I had witnessed a disgruntled homeless individual entering and forcibly shutting the gate while I was out walking. Approximately three weeks later, I brought up the issue of the broken security gate once more. She started off her lie by telling me the woman didnt come through that gate despite the fact that I SAW HER with my own two eyes enter through the gate. To my astonishment, she lied again, claiming, We REMOVED the lock to grant our residents access to the walking trails behind the property. When I pointed out that the lock hadnt been removed, the gate was physically broken, and there were no walking trails behind the property, but rather a steep drop-off to a creek bed, direct access to train-tracks, and numerous NO TRESPASSING signs, she became irate and banned me from her office indefinitely.In addition to my personal concerns, there is trash all over the property. Sadly, most of it is from the maintenance staff including things like pallets and old appliances or debris from repairs. The few trash cans on the property are persistently overflowing leaving an awful smell, flies everywhere, and the biggest roaches you have ever seen in your life. Just wait until the sun goes down and you will see the infestation. All these roaches inevitably make their way into the apartments, regardless how clean you are and if you spray. It is out of control. Everything in the common area is broken: Picknick tables, basketball hoop, tennis court, the net, the soccer goals, everything. There is dog poop everywhere, which is fair since there is only one dog-poop disposal place in the park. There are stray cats galore, more than you have ever seen in your life. Overall, there isnt a single positive thing I have to say about this property. It is a shame because there is so much potential here, but the management team and maintenance staff just cant get it together.

Unfortunately, I have had an ongoing maintenance issue for the past 5 months, which has only worsened. Management has not resolved the problem despite submitting countless requests, calling the office, emailing, and going in person. My primary issue is managements lack of communication and transparency when I attempt to check-in on the issue. We have been left with only 1 working bathroom and maintenance hasnt check in on the issue for over 6 weeks. I sent an email to management addressing my concerns on August 31st and nothing has changed. My last check-in email has gone with no response.

I have lived in this complex for almost 5 years now, and the current management has made so many positive improvements to the property.The maintenance staff handles problems really efficiently. Absolutely terrible experience! When I first called and spoke to kianna she was sweet as pie! However.. over the course of 2 weeks and counting I have had nothing but aggravation! Her demeanor changed when I would speak to her about the status. She had a bit of an attitude like I was inconveniencing her! Submitted documents and then was asked for additional documentation ! Absurd amount of paperwork! I have 3 emails stating that she would have an answer for me by the end of the day over several days and nothing and I had to follow up as to the status and still.. over 2 weeks.. no answer on approval. I am getting the runaround! Not a place that I want to live or do business with. Guess I dodged this bait and switch complex!

My family and I have lived here for a little over month. While my husband was able to take an initial tour, I had to handle everything virtually from 300 miles away, ultimately moving in sight unseen. No matter how many times I called or emailed, they handled each question I had gracefully, not once giving the impression I was a bother. They even gave me a video tour of our unit the week of move in since we were unable to schedule a final walk through due to the holiday. Our unit is much nicer than I anticipated too, even for a classic unit. Day 2 of moving in, we had to put in a maintenance request and it was handled promptly and professionally, despite the weekend. During the artic blast, there was a pipe burst 2 doors down and they STILL had someone come to clean up the water in our neighbors units not only late in the night but also on Christmas, the one day of the year one would expect no one to be available. Ive even had a payment issue that was entirely my mistake and they still treated me so kind and respectfully, again, not giving even an inkling of annoyance or making me feel any more embarrassed than I already was.When I moved here, I left behind my hometown, with all my family and nearly everyone I know. This was a very nerve-wracking move. While searching for an apartment, I rejected more than I can count, many of them just based off of their reviews. We had not rented an apartment in over 5 years, and Id heard so many horror stories about bad property managers and leasing agents that I was overwhelmed with anxiety by this move. The team managing Maxwell Townhomes have been such a dream and made this big life transition for me so much easier. There just isnt much to complain about. Sure, its an older complex, and, my goodness, so many speed bumps, but in the grand scheme of apartment woes, these are insignificant. They way things are now, we plan to stay for a while.

San Antonio is home, it is where I grew up, I had no idea the Maxwell complex was so massive.Pretty decent playground, its surprisingly easy to drive around, once you figure out the proper flow. There is an app for the gate, which is nice.This is an older complex, do not go look at an apartment/townhouse with the idea the place is going to be perfectly updated and all shiny, it is not. But it really isnt bad at all.

Very friendly staff. We love it here. It definitely feels like home. Im editing my review. The place has gone to hell. The front gates have been broken for months. The manager is rude. Our A/C was out for over 3 weeks. Its still 90 plus degrees upstairs. We had a leak from our upstairs bathroom that they started working on almost a month ago. Its still not done. The walls are full of mold and mildew. The laundry room cabinet is falling apart. My whole family including 6 kids are getting sick. The trash piles up at the dumpsters. There is a roach infestation and pest control sucks. I personally would not recommend living here!

The whole place is a disgusting place to live at: They have all these great “ amenities that we never were able to use. They were always broken into, dirty as well. The pools were disgusting! The property is always dirty with furniture and trash, people walking their dogs and leaving feces all over the grass, even when there’s dog stations everywhere. Ghetto to its finest! The new management is horrible! That lady Reiily is the worst . She is the rudest manager in history! They don’t maintain their property, there is mold in the vents to which I got respiratory infection a couple times, I fell on my stairway and hurt my back cause the stairway step was lose under the carpet, Maintenance do not do their job right and we personally have to fix ourselves. Not to mention the crimes in the property! Got my car broken into TWICE! How would they not steal if they have all their street lamps out! Reported it and they never got fixed so it’s always dark and easy for our cars to be broken into. This manager always had excuses to everything that happened in that property.

I am highly disappointed with this property. The idea of a town home apartment was very attractive, however, after moving in I immediately regretted my decision to lease with this place. The units are not newly remodeled. The cabinets are the old ones just wrapped to look new with new hardware. My biggest issue though is the ROACHES! I have never experienced a roach problem in all my time renting. I have rented at older properties before and never had this issue. One or two I could handle, but in the matter of 3 months I have had at least 15. i did my own pest control along with the one they provide so they come in dead but still. This is not a way to live and I do not feel comfortable in my own home and wish there was a way to get out of this lease. I can say the staff is nice and maintenance can take awhile only because there are only 2 maintenance man, and for such a HUGE property that is unfortunate. I am typically not a person who writes reviews but I feel this one was something i had to share for future potential tenants.

Excellent! Just moved in to new town home. We love our new place. The staff are the nicest that I have ever met (anywhere) and very friendly. It seems like maintenance is completely responsive and on top of their game! Great start and the property is great! LySandra was great from the beginning of our move from the East Coast until the time that we arrived. We have been here for more than six months and have been more than happy with the service and amenities.Update to my previous review... Maxwell Townhomes has such a caring staff. Drew and Brook are very helpful. When we went to tour it, we got Drew, a leasing agent and he was so helpful and knowledgeable about the property. He went out of his way to show us exactly what we needed. He takes genuine pride in the property and he talked about how he loves living on the property. It gave us all a sense of comfort in choosing the 3 bedroom town home. He took care of us from start to finish and made sure we got the special which is the rest of the month free. The application process was seamless, thanks to Drew. I really appreciated his professionalism.A week later I sent friends not knowing they needed an appointment and they got Brooke. Even though they did not have an appointment she showed them a video and answered their questions. My friend said the place was buzzing with people completing applications and waiting for a tour. Brooke was patient and so kind.You can definitely count on Drew and Brooke for professionalism and excellent service.

They’ll leave you without AC in the middle of summer for over a week, continuously lie and tell you that someone will be by to fix it that day and no one ever shows up only to repeat the process. The day of move in, they said the unit was unavailable and they could not disclose why. Frustrating experience before moving in. This place definitely doesn’t care about their residents. Maintenance will never come fix any of your requests unless you literally beg even if they’re urgent and once they come after begging they do a lazy job and end up leaving the problem worse or the same. They barely had a paint job on the street lines after a long time and before you couldn’t see fire lanes and there was no parking because the lines to the parking spaces where faint or not there at all so cars would get towed all the time and management doesn’t care even though fire lanes are supposed to be noticeable red not pink and with the words “FIRE LANE” by law but none of that was in the parking lot until recently. There is little space to open some doors, drawers, cabinets, etc. you can tell they did a bad job at thinking about storage and space in the floorplans of these apartments. Whatever you do, look for an apartment elsewhere and don’t choose this place. You could be paying the same for a much better place that actually cares about their residents than here.

Maxwell townhomes by far has been the worst apartment complex I have EVER lived in. Please do NOT move here. Not only did my apartment flood back in December which they did nothing about and still went inside my apartment, put my things in the bathtub, and DID NOT call, text, or email me about it. My AC has been broken for now a week with it being 82F in my apartment and 105F outside. They refuse to let me know what’s going on and keep blowing me off day after day after day. This is completely UNACCEPTABLE and INHUMANE. If you care about yourself and your well being please DO NOT move here

Went to go tour, the girl was very sweet. I forgot her name, started with a K. The townhome we were shown is the one plastered on their website, brochures and anywhere they can advertise. However the actual townhomes themselves come with a small patio that you have to look right across maybe 2ft apart from the next townhome. For the price you’d expect what you saw on the picture, however the spaces between the homes are non existent and there’s like 3 trashes amongst the 40+ homes and minimal parking near yours. I only fell in love with the one shown but don’t expect it to look like that. Hope to change this review in time, will keep looking elsewhere for now.

Lived here for 5 months so far and its been a great experience! Samantha and all the front office staff has always been friendly, accommodating, quick to handle issues when they come up, from move-in to regular maintenance.A lot of reviews on here are about maintenance and facilities. If you have maintenance requests, just stay on top of it and send an email to the front office at the same time you put in a request through the app. This is a big complex and things can fall through the cracks, but every time Ive talked to someone from the office about an open request, Ive seen quick fixes. If you dont mind staying on top of those and following up when needed, you wont have any issues with maintenance here.For example, when we first moved in in July, the AC went out. I called the front office and they had a big portable unit installed within 20 minutes and a brand new outdoor unit ordered, delivered, and installed within 3 days - been running great ever since!Id definitely recommend Maxwell!

Great Location.We have been staying here for a few months now and absolutely love the environment. Walking distance from the library and accessibility to highways make this a desirable HQ. Beautiful trees surrounding the community offer fresh air, visual ambience, and shade for your home. The roots have been an issue for some of the plumbing but never for more than an hour and lets face it, mother nature can be quite unpredictable. The management has been quick to take action before more disastrous problems occur but most people only see the hour water cut-off time. Not a big deal since the management informs us days if not a week in advance to plan accordingly. We had a few minor issues with the unit we were in but the staff sent out technicians to solve every problem swiftly.Theres not much you can do about people in the community (or anywhere for that matter) if they choose not to obey the rules and guidelines other than contact the management or police, if necessary. The pool has been out of commission due to kids pulling out the light. It is back up and running but please, parents watch your kids and dont let them run rampant without supervision. Kids are mischievous by nature, this isnt news. I love the BBQ area next to the pool and Bark Park.Keep up the good work guys.

Ive been living here for a year and renewed my lease for another 10 months. Its a safe complex which is what is most important to me. The majority of tenants are all families. Buildings are a little old and the pools arent the best but not too bad for the price. Customer service at the leasing office is a hit or miss depending on who attends you, but luckily I hardly ever have to contact them as there is a convenient online portal to pay rent or place maintenance requests.Maintenance is usually quick to respond to requests or will at least give you a courtesy call to schedule something within 2-3 days, depending on the urgency of the service request- although there have been a couple of instances where I had to call to follow up on a request. Not surprising though with how big the complex is. I consider myself a needy tenant so I let that slide since the numerous requests prior to that were taken care of immediately. Aside from that, no big issues with maintenance.I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a safe and affordable apartment in a great location.

First off the staff here are very good at lying to your face. They will tell you over the phone that they do not go off credit scores so you dont need a cosigner. When you give them money orders to process your application, they will also tell you that they will have the others in the office take care of possible new clients so they can get your stuff done that day. Two minutes later. You will see them riding around on their golf carts with other people. At the end of the day they told us we needed a cosigner. They let our cosigner write a check for the application fee. They put their golf carts up 30 minutes before closing and take their time coming back to the office. They didnt get our stuff done that day. So round #2 the next day. They said we needed a money for cosigner application. After that we finally got in. The first day in our apartment, we woke up to no water. They said they didnt have our ail on file, even though they are on our applications, to notify us the water would be off from 10am-4pm everyday that whole week. They said they would have our 2nd key and mailbox keys that first week also. So second week here we got a transfer notice from work. We asked what we could do since we just signed lease. We get an email congratulating us on a promotion,because they obviously are not smart enough to know the difference between the two, and said we would have to pay the fees. It is the end of the second week and we just got our keys to everything. Their excuse was they had a lot of keys cut and none were labeled for 2 weeks. Of all the years I have rented, this is the worst place imaginable. They are unorganized, unprofessional, lazy, and liars! They dont answer their messages and if you ail them, they wont even know they have it! I will be so glad to get out of this place even though I will have to pay them from my Promotion.

Ive been living here for 5 months and I must say that the place is really good. Firstable the leasing ladies are really nice and help you out, specially Lysandra, she was guiding me from the begging and cleared all my doubts, she was really patient and was willing to show me different apartments with all the patience of the world. I havent had any issue, I always feel welcome and whenever I have any inquiries, she listens carefully and help me out, same for the other ladies but I have interacted more with her.Overall the living experience has been really good. They recently updated the mini golf course and my kids loves to play on the kids place. The lighting could be better in the afternoon (specially the basketball and tennis one).Maintenance is really good as well, sometimes you have to give some reminders but overall they are really nice and helpful. I havent had any big issues or complains.

My girlfriend and I lived here for roughly a year and only moved out to go to college in a different area. During this year, I never had a bad experience with management. This is the only place Ive ever lived where management has been superb. There are occasional (maybe once a month) water shut-offs for routine maintenance, but the office always informs you of this at least a few days in advance and the repairs are always completed in a few hours. During my time here, I found that these shut-offs had no effect on my daily life. Though Ive seen online complaints about bugs and other pests, I never saw any myself (besides the occasional roach, which is to be expected wherever you go). Any maintenance requests I submitted were always filled in what I found to be a timely manner. I applaud Maxwell Townhomes for their superb staff, which has made my experience infinitely easier than anywhere else Ive ever lived. Thank you all for your time and dedication.

We have lived here for 2 years now the first year was amazing no complaints at all. We decided to stay since things were great but needed a bigger unit so we upgraded to a 3bd room for the 2nd year, then it turned to a absolutely nightmare. First few weeks had no cooling during the hottest moths of summer. Every door has fallen off the henges a few have even fallen on our small children. The draining system is old and they say just don’t let anything bump it. Our hot water heater went out and they confirmed 2 coils were damaged and went multiple days with no update on when it would get fixed. Now we have no cheat due to bad wiring in the middle of a cold front. It’s always the waiting game with getting things fixed. No reason to be paying as much as we do for a broken home. This place is absolutely trash.

This place is very poorly ran. Its dirty, the parking/driving areas are filled with potholes. The main gate is broken with no intention on being fixed. People leave trash outside the dumpsters even when the dumpster is completely empty. I would not recommend anyone moving here. They handled the storm above and beyond to make sure their residents were okay. Heres the truth about these so called luxury townhomes. They are old and renovations are terrible. It may look okay, but once you move in you notice the mismatched paint in the kitchen. The cabinet doors are new, but the cabinets are just painted over a horrible brown color.The plumbing is terrible. You will constantly have overflow from the upstairs and downstairs toilets, kitchen sink backing up into the dishwasher, and you will spend a lot of time and money to clean it up.If you live in certain low areas of the apartments, be prepared for flooding when there is heavy rains.Your electric bill will be sky high. Especially if you are in a townhome that has an ac unit too small for the size of the apartment. This leads to if the unit just happens to be big enough...it runs non stop to try to keep the townhomes cool. Remember heat rises.The parking is a nightmare because visitors take the resident parking. There are no parking stickers so good luck finding a spot especially on the weekends.The dumpsters are constantly overflowing with furniture and trash, because people move in and out so quickly here.The rent is way too high for the age of these apartments. The move in specials are tricks to make you pay way over what the rents should be for the condition this place is in.The office people are nice when you are leasing, but dont let that fool you into renting at this bug infested nightmare. There are too many nicer places that you can rent for the same price.I cannot wait until my lease ends. Just remember if they are running a great move in special, its because the place has too many people moving out! Trust me! Im moving to a much nicer condo in the medical center for less than I pay here.

Our move from Denver to San Antonio has been a breeze thanks to Brooke. Communication was outstanding and on point immediately answering any questions i had/still have. In past reviews people have mentioned cockroaches but i believe if you keep the place clean, food concealed, and pest control comes once a month there shouldnt be a problem. Havent seen the whole property yet but im excited to take my dog to the dog park when its not so hot. Also shout out to Anthony helping me get our internet and cable setup with spectrum. Mellisa took us to every unit we wanted to see and spent ample amount of time with us and was happy to do so! She really took the time to make sure I was happy with the unit, its location and features! Brandy was AMAZING on the day that I moved in and made sure everything went smoothly. My husband and I just moved here from Denver about three weeks ago and we didn’t know what to expect. We found these apartments online and went ahead, signed up, and hoped for the best. It was definitely the best. Melissa took the initiative to help us from the moment we were interested in this property until now and have has been outstanding! We were able to do the application process online, see pictures of the apartments and she helped us decide which one was right for us. We felt she was super patient with us and did not rush us into something we weren’t sure of. The thing I loved and appreciated the most was that as soon as we walked in for our keys we were presented with a “Things To Do” list in San Antonio since we were fairly new to the city. If you are having financial issues due to job loss during the pandemic they will ask you to move out when your lease is up, during the pandemic, even if you always get caught up.I received two eviction notices, was emailed a notice, and then asked to move out at the end of my lease in June all within three days this week. I am consideted high risk, so being told I have to move during a pandemic with a mutating virus is very stressful and concerning about the lack of soul of the company.As for office personnel, Kat is an amazing leasing agent, and Samantha, the assistant manager, is fabulous. They were and have been a delight to deal with and made mymove in process easy and a great experience.The noise here lately and the clientele moving in has been less than favorable. I would assume it would be better to keep residents that do not cause problems in lieu of asking them to move out, but thats obviously not the case.As far as the units, Ive loved my townhome and will miss it so very much when I am forced to move at the end of my lease.If you are positive you will not have any financial mishaps, then definitely move here! If you might hit some snags, then you wont be allowed to live here when your lease ends so I would find somewhere else. I just say this because of fair housing. If Im being asked to move, then anyone before me or after me that has had the same issues must be treated the same way. This is how I know you will not be able to stay. You will however be happy until you have to move.

This is the worst place I have ever lived in. The air conditioning never works, 80 degrees in my apartment as I type this. FINALLY after calling multiple times and leaving voicemails we had maintenance come over. He said he was too busy to do anything today and would return tomorrow afternoon. Which I highly doubt is going to happen. The hot water only lasts 5 minutes max. The worst part though is the front office just ordered all new doors for all their offices, the air conditioning in there is amazing, and you can just tell by the smell in there that mostly everything is new. Do NOT move here. I promise you will be more than dissatisfied.P.S. I haven’t even been living here for a month yet.

Especially since people broke into my apartment anyway!-Management is horrible, and obviously hate their jobs, and it shows with their work ethic. After continuous issues with the property management and my unit I will explain my experience here.I rented in a hurry I am a busy mom and am going to work and school. I quickly gave my deposit before reading up on this property. I asked well in advance to tour the unit I would lease and instead was given the run around. I wasnt able to view my unit until move in day. It was a bait and switch. I was given a unit that was unimaginably different from what I was expecting. Trash, debris, dog feces inside and out, water damage, broken fixtures, lighting... on move in day I was angry...I complained and was given a remodeled unit instead along with many excuses but not one apology.On move in inventory I notated many things amiss with my new unit broken windows/ shattered glass doors,missing screens, faulty lights, plumbing, missing sliding door locks, broken light fixtures to name a few. These items took over three months from move in inventory to fix. I immediately noticed a roach problem among other issues about the property and was immediately shocked again with how unprofessionally the manager of this property was at handling my concerns in a prompt and reasonable manner.Within the first month my wiring in my unit fried due to electrical wiring issues and I lost the contents of my fridge . I had two leaks, busted water heater, and scary noisy plumbing problems again all in my first month.They did everything possible to avoid calling a professional and instead offered their maintenance manager who felt the need to ask me personal questions about my job, age, and marital status... leaving me feeling extremely uncomfortable with being alone with him in my home.These different plumbing issues lasted 4 months and I still have scary noisy plumbing at times...The maintenance line is terrible at ensuring response and the front office does not always know why.. I have pest problems still, many roach varieties plague my unit.. and a gaping hole above my ac, broken vinyl flooring from the leaks/maintenance workers moving appliances, a broken floor cabinet, partical board debris where the roaches hide from a terrible rehab job, and somehow whenever my neighbor smokes inside their home I smell it directly in mine... I suspect mold from all the leaks as my sons been having more asthma issues lately but Im sure the roaches and the smoke dont help... hes allergic to that as well.Perhaps someday they might come back to finish fixing my problems but I highly doubt it no one has returned my emails or phone calls.Ive written to the regional manager of resource residential several times and it has done nothing to help... they obviously dont care...My honest opinion is that this place needs an overhaul from an adequately trained management team. My hope is that someone will take it from me and steer clear of this place.

I currently live in these apartments for year. Every time Ive had an issue I have put in a work ticket and it was worked in a timely fashion. I love the location as is close to I10 and you can get to shopping in 10 min, plus the High School is Clark rated in the top 10 High School in all of San Antonio. The ladies in the office are very pleasant Ive never had an issue with them and the maintenance guys are great as well. Im reading the reviews and I have never seen the cops called and Ive lived on both sides of the property, again when I had an issue management fixed it right away and I was moved. They are not upfront with the fees and every single month there is a new fee! Roaches everywhere. Pest is out of control. Maintenance takes forever to fix anything! The place has mold and is falling apart. I regret my decision to move here tremendously! All I can say is stay far away from this place! The woman named Brooke at the front desk lied and said my deposit $200 was refundable, did not mention anything about it only being refundable if it was not approved. When I asked for it to be sent back, she told me I cannot because I was approved for the apartment. I applied for a 2 bedroom which is what the deposit was put down for, Which I was denied. I asked about the one bedroom instead and was approved, but I never said yes I want the one bedroom because I WAS TRYING TO SUBMIT ADDITIONAL INCOME SO I CAN GET APPROVAL FOR THE 2 BEDROOM. Ladies in the front office are supper nice! However our town home not so much... have not been able to use upstairs bathroom due to leak in wall. Now we have holes in ceiling in the kitchen and the cabinets in the kitchen which already do not work properly. It has been 9 days with the holes and over 3 weeks without being able to use the upstairs bathroom and no one has updated us since the holes were cut... as we were told a plumber would have to come repair it. Downstairs bedroom/study is hot as they have not got the fans in that they have ordered since the downstair fans only go one speed. Lol I bet they are quicker at reaching out or adding a late fee if rent is late but they are slow about getting the 2nd bathroom to work.

Its cheap for a reason, lots of crime started to occur within the first few months of us living here, us and two or three other neighbors had their car broken into and we had screws put into our tires. This type thing kept happening and they said they were working on it yet nothing was actually done. The day we moved in there was a screen missing, and two screens with giant holes in them and paint splattered everywhere and it was a complete mess, it was unbelievable that they thought it was good enough to move into, that was my first clue as to the quality of this place. Not to mention my poor excuse of a backyard with holes in the fence. They sent pictures of our unit which became apparent after moving in was their model home. They turn the water off every other week and notify you via a not they put on the door the night before (no knocking to see if youre home first, so if youre home by 4 and dont leave the rest of the night you have no idea the water will be turned off by 8 AM). Maintenance is nice but doesnt actually do much except fix the problem for a week and then theyre back in our apartment. They dont replace stuff that clearly needs to be replaced. The office staff is rude and talks about the tenants. They list the gym as an amenity yet you have to pay for the faub in order to get into the gym. Cockroaches everywhere all the time even after they had the exterminator fix it. We asked multiple times for them to fix the paint and the sink that had peeled yet nothing got done. The neighbors would have 20+ People over constantly and party and nothing was done. The other neighbor would have her yappy dogs out at all hours. Cops were there at least 5 times within a 6 month period, and that was on the small half of the complex. The neighbors we were friends with were so jealous that we got to leave. One of the neighbors had a one year old and had been trying to get the patio fence put back in that had previously been ripped out so that their child could safely play on the patio and nothing was done. On 07/01/17 I reported that there was a leaking in my shower. The water was coming out from the shower handler and I just requested the get the shower handler replaced: NOTHING GOT FIXED. On 07/4/17 the leaking was getting bigger and the roof was damaged because of the water, NOTHING GOT FIXED. On 07/05/17 My son woke up and the roof fel down and there were pieces of wood all around my kitchen, I reported the problem AGAIN and I finally got the shower handler replaced, but I have a hole in my kitchen roof and the water is still coming out from my shower. I dont know how long do I need to wait to get this problem fixed. I dont know if you are waiting until the damage is bigger because if you dont stop the leaking Im afraid the bath tub is going to fall as well.I hope you take better care of the residents, this is a beautiful complex but the maintenance people is not as good as we expected.

I cannot wait to get out of this i highly recommend that you keep searching because these are the worst apartments i have ever lived in. Upon moving in we were showed the model and we requested the exact floor plan. It is my fault that i didnt request slto see the apartment before signing the lease but the second i got the keys and walked in it was completely different from what we had agreed upon. I then looked at reviews and learned this was not the first time that they had pulled a bait and switch on residents. For the first fewonths we had no issues until suddenly around 6 months in things just started coming apart. All the drawers in the kitchen are completely broken and off the track as well as the flooring has started to peel and come up. Our ac has broken on multiple occasions and even though we put in maintenance request the way we are supposed to and constantly call to check on the status we have gone days without anything being done until i go into the office and make a scene. I will never ever refer anyone to this place and will not be looking back once my lease is up.

Upon first glance prior to move-in the place looked ok. Upon further inspection the cabinet bottoms were caved in, there was a hole in the bathroom floor. Many things were not functional.The water was turned off almost as much as it was on. We had workers entering when we werent home without notice to us and damaging our property. Not to mention all the noise from construction workers. The staff is beligerant and unable to solve problems. Your water is based on the whole communities usage, so for us being 2 peoplewe were making up the difference of a large family. Also upon move out we were told your water bill is in arrears for 2 months so you are actually paying the previous renters water bill. We are being accused of damage to blinds that were already broke and falling apart. The kitchen was so dirty I didnt feel I cook or do anything in it. I didnt even want to put my dishes in it. We never received a readable lease, they gave us one in minute print. We requested repairs and a legible copy of the lease and upon move out after 3 months received nothing and repairs were not done. We had a 3 month lease thankfully but didnt live there really after 2. Felt the better option was to pay to have 2 places than stay there. Thought not braking the lease would alleviate headaches with moving out but that wasnt the case. They wont give us info on damages or security deposits. They dont return phone calls. They have an answering service but was told they never pick up their messages. The carpet was filthy. The furnace shook the walls. My place looked nothing like the ones pictured on the web. If it did I would have been happy. I believe they are misrepresenting the property with the pictures they are showing. They may have one property that looks like that but I never seen it. Upon move in our patio door would not slide and the lock was broken. My husband fixed the sliding part but the lock was never fixed after 3 months. I had to put my cane in the door to lock it. I think it is not legal to rent a place withour the locks in place. They have an antiquated system of putting notices on your door, where the fast food places put there flyers for when you owe money or have a problem but when they want to enter to do repairs or change the furnace the notice disappears, even though they say they put one there. I would suggest you be very careful and make sure everything is written in detail before signing anything. Verbal promises are not kept.

Excellent so far!!! I am moving across country and have been looking for the perfect community. Prior to Finding Maxwell, I called several places, but found no where near the customer service that this team has provided. Lysandra was great and very quick to respond an e-mail conversation to get us through the process. After providing all documents, she got my approval the same day, with my requested move-in date. If the property is half as nice as the staff, It will be a great experience. Will post again after moving in July! Note: I did not get a discount for giving a 5 start review, that is just not true.

Well, I have read a lot of the reviews here dating back 3 years . First of all this is my second year here as i moved in 2017 .We came here to SA from Egypt and stayed in a hotel for over 11 days and searched for apts ,lots of them. We found Maxwell and loved it so we signed up the paper work . We thought about it and decided not to take the place so i called and canceled the application and moved in temporarily to a trailer and was horrified at finding scorpions in the sink and on the floor i was scared to sleep that night and the next day i called Maxwell and told them i had a change of mind and wanted to go ahead with the lease plans and we moved in 2 days later. Sure there are cockroach problems and spiders and centipedes heck i even had a skunk that visited my patio lol and a possum as well as i get a few cats come by now and then. Maxwell has the pest control come out every month as it states on the lease and if you need them inside the house they come and also spray inside, people need to realize that SA is a very very humid area so there will be roach problems (we had issues like this in Egypt as well ) so these are pest that are everywhere not just at Maxwell . I ofc take care of this issue on a better and more personal level than just the pest ppl do as i use more natural methods that take care of the bug issues and it has as i do not see much of a bug problem only when the seasons start so its time to refresh my home made concoction to control it . My apt was not the most luxurious but it does feel like a mini home so i am comfy living here, i like my neighbors with the exception of some loud noises at times. The maintenance guys are super awesome and friendly all my issues get taken care off to 100% satisfaction and when they see me outside they ask me if all is going good with what they fixed. As for the water yes, the timely manor of letting you know was not good but management has changed since i moved in and they have been great at emailing me about the water (ofc there are emergency issues ) where it was late to let anyone know, otherwise we get the emails its up to us to read our emails several times a day (we need to do our part ) its our home. Take care of your home as well and not just depend on maintenance to do the work for u all the time that you can honestly take care of yourself if possible. (some ppl always sayits not my job) well then know that you are not the only one leasing and not the only one with issues that need to be handled so do your best to not let things go so bad that it will effect not only your health but your stressed out. i love living here a and i did go out and looked at other apts a few months ago and i prefer to live here than anywhere else i searched at. Seems all apt complexes have bad ratings and some may be very legetimant but the majority are because people refuse to take care of some of these issues that are not hard to do.Now for the office people (WHAT CAN I SAY ) i love them all as they are super duper in my book starting with Melissa. Tricia is also awesome and always makes time from her office to either come out or shout out a hello to me and ask how are we doing. Samantha and Brandy are very awesome employees as well and do a great job at making sure higher personal knows about our issues. otherwise i have to say i will be staying here a little longer cause i love the place and i know its not going to be heaven anywhere i live at but this is in between. btw water issues of being turned off happens in all apt complexes to my understanding as there is one that shuts down several times a day every day basically.P.S i do not go out to the park or pool but i have seen it and it is great area also the grounds are well kept its ppl that throw out trash or do not dispose of there magazines in the mail that end up flying everywhere its not the fault of the maintenance or office as they strive to keep the complex clean.people where you live is what you help make of it do not contribute to destroying it. want trashy then be trashy. Please do not move here. Ive recently left these properties and have come up with a 750 dollar bill. They where charging me cleaning service, which I cleaned, vacuumed, & mopped from the get go. I had various mold problem to no avail and had various maintenance issues. I understand they might be low on personnel but thats what workload sharing is about. im totally not ok with the personell painting over mold in order to cover up bathtub stains. Yes they painted over mold. I had pest issues and administracion was not helpful at all. When I spoke to them about the bill they told me they would send photos the apartment, they never did. When I called back to discuss it they abruptly shut me up and say well I cant help you at all so just pay then. Theyhave been the least professional people ive encountered. I do not wish this on othr tenants. Found better apts 2 blocks down way cheaper and recently built.

Worst complex ever lived in. Water was constantly shut off without notice, they told you one thing when touring and applying, then once you signed your lease, theyd suddenly change what was promised. The plumbing was terrible, my apartment also leaked when it rained and they never went to fix it (probably why they required renters insurance, so they wouldnt have to be held responsible if any of your property was damaged). Walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbors yelling. Entire complex was unsafe, cops constantly getting called, you can hear people fighting at all hours of the night, multiple car and apartment break ins, and front office staff were unprofessional, brushed everything off and just didnt care. Those gates are a joke, false sense of security since theyre always open, broken, or people just drive thru. Biggest regret was ever moving to this place.

Can not find enough words to show my satisfaction with my new home! Their new appliances, high ceilings, and wood-like floors give my new place a contemporary feel! This specific floor plan is not only quite spacious, but it even comes with my own little back yard to enjoy the serene, relaxing evenings. The gym, the two swimming pools, doggy park, basketball court, tennis court, walk area and even benches to soak in the ambiance are simply icing on the cake. The staff is very professional, friendly, attentive, and courteous. I do wish they had a clubhouse, but other than that theyve exceeded all expectations!

Worst place I have ever lived in and I grew up in a mobile home. My fiance moved here bc of work and ended up staying for a year and a half because we were not sure if job was going to move again. The bait and switch is no lie, they tell you what the monthly rent will be and then add on all the fees that they dont mention. In the winter and spring months they turn off the water every other Tuesday. They say it is to fix pipes to their new system, but the reviews before we moved in said that was a problem too. The Cockroach problem is no joke. The exterminators would come by every week but every night you see giant cockroaches and milipedes. There was mold growing from the a.c. vent and when they came out to fix it they said it was rust. The rust continued to grow on the walls... rust doesnt grow on walls. When moving in, the backyard was trashed with glass everywhere and moving materials. Obviously we told them but nothing happened. When moving out we paid for professional carpet cleaning and a cleaning service for final move out which is in the move out clause. 9 days later they said there were stains under the carpet and that we didnt clean the oven. Do not trust the reviews that give over 2 stars, those are just friends and family of the employees that work there.

We lived here for a year and a half, and it was the worst year and a half of our lives. The upstairs toilet leaked the entire stay, they attempted to fix it by replacing a wax ring on a rotten out floor. When the toilet leaked it had ruined to ceiling in the kitchen and one of the cabinets, took them about a year to fix the ceiling at which point contractors came int our apartment without permission while we were gone, the never fixed the cabinet and my husband had to do it himself. The answers from the owners on here say to contact corporate, but we did monthly and never got a response. These are just a few of the issues we had while living there, and IF we could get ahold of management they would lie and ignore us, all they care about is getting your money.

This place is really bad. Its not a good place to live. The service is terrible. The staff lie all the time. There are no real resolutions until its too late and youve broken your last straw. Its just very fake. No one does their job at the office. Just do what you promise. The water is always getting turned off. I was also late for a payment just a few days. Instead of sending out a kind reminder they gave me a Vacate Notice come on I thought I setup an automatic payment online. All she replied was legally we have to do that worst place I have ever live.Owners please take in consideration these comments and change something. Dont just make a cordial comment and forget about it and act like things never happened. Be more genuine and actually care about peoples lives. Change procedures if needed. I’ve lived here for five days and am already experiencing issues with management and office personnel. They towed my car without notice and gave me and my boyfriend the run around when we were asking questions. There’s no indication that the space wasn’t a parking spot and there are no other places to park because everything else is a fire lane. I’m a young female and I work extremely late hours and I’m not exactly looking to walk a far distance alone in the dark. There’s not enough parking and the girls in the office are sweet, but absolutely no help. All they could tell me was “those parking spots are kind of old” and that I should’ve parked across what I thought were three parking spaces, instead of parking in one space. Not to mention we’ve already found dead bugs all over the place.

A few months ago after living here since August 2018, I gave this place a five star review. After being here a few more months I can see where all of the negative reviews came from! Trash everywhere for days and no one is cleaning it up! The office never answers the phones for customer service, the recording is on from the time the office opens up to the end of the day! If you go inside the office, they are sitting at their desks having conversations about whatever! Management should be fired in my opinion, I will surely be researching how to get in contact with their corporate office..I know for sure that I pay too much monthly to have to live in these conditions! The front gate on the “R” side stayed broken for two whole entire weeks, I pay to live in a gated community! Today is February 19, 2019. I had a great experience and I can tell she cares for her residents, she was alone when I came and you can tell as residents came she called them by name. I also noticed the property grounds are well kept and the landscape and all the amenities the property has are great. They never take ownership of their mistakes. Its always tenants fault. Example, I have always paid my rent before hand and got a notice of late rent. When I brought it up to them, they never apologized for it. Several times I have heard the management team talk down about the tenants. Leaks all over the place. The tile floor was not professionally installed. It looks like it was just cut and layed down. My biggest beef with this complex is the Property Manager! I have friends that know this property manager from another complex she worked in and they say the same thing. She is nasty.

I have lived in this community for over a year. My AC went out last Friday, I have called every single day multiple times a day trying to get them to fix my AC. They came out once prior to Friday, let it thaw and turned it back on stating it was fixed. Only for it to freeze again. Please please don’t rent here. It is 100% NOT worth it. All of the negative reviews are right so listen to them and RUN!! You will end up leaving this place and hiring a lawyer. They will show you a “model unit” that looks nothing like the actual unit and refuse to show you the actual unit until a day before you move in. They claimed it was because they were cleaning it but we went inside and there was still TRASH EVERYWHERE!! It smelt horrible like smoke it was so strong. There is mold covered up by years and years of paint over and over again. There is broken trim that needs to be painted, there is stuff in the sink (I don’t even know what it is) they do not bother making it move in ready at all. So disappointing! Moved in the 1st of November and unfortunately have had more problems in this 1 month than I have encountered in the past 10 years of living on my own. Our unit was just remodeled with new appliances, new floors, nice countertops and cabinets.. aesthetically pleasing, but living here is the worst!* our porch light hasnt been fixed in a month*ac unit did not work*heater currently does not work*hot water works when it wants to ( reported it to our 24 hour maintenance at 9pm one night and maintenance came next day at 3 with a work order that stated our water was not working at all.. obviously no sense of urgency there) currently no hot water!*pea trap under sink was clogged so when we used our garbage disposal for the 1st time the water in the dishwasher flooded our kitchen. ( fortunely I know how to fix this I would have hated to see how long it took maintenance to get here)*tub was painted white and after living here a month the paint is fading and black is showing which looks dirtyThis isnt even all of our problems but I wouldnt even recommend this place to my worst enemy!

This place is the worst. Why is there no zero star option. I havent even been here a month and ive seen countless spiders and a centipede and some other weird bugs! When i moved in my kitchen counter wasnt glued down there was huge writing on one of the closet walls, how do you not see that!? The A/C was broken so we were sweating for days. The floors were extremely dirty and there was spider webs in what is now my kids room. My son has been bit by bugs at night already an i wake with bites all over my legs!. I called that number and it was a non working number with area code from pennsylvania after she told me corporate is in houston. I have been lied to and overall not cared for. As im typing this my roof is leaking as it is raining. The water was splashing onto my 6MONTH olds face while he was sleeping, who knows what could have happened if i hadnt woken up! I do not want my children here anymore. Health and fire indpectors will be called as i still dont have a smoke alarm and there is a broken pipe with human feces pouring all over the street as of today.

I dont think the pool was available for more than a week or two at a time while I lived there. Management is horrible. My downstairs toilet did not work for about a year and a half (put in multiple maintenance request, however new management eventually fixed it). Had a leaky roof that to this day has not been completely fixed even with the new management (mold started growing where the leak was coming from. The wall that had water on it was mushy and you could put your hand through it if you wanted to. A/C didnt work for several months and a variety of other problems with the unit that sometimes took a long time to fix. My neighbors unit was being renovated and in August of 2014 when I got home I could not be inside my unit because of the chemical fumes that were coming from the unit. While trying to air out the unit and calling their emergency line many times (which kept telling me the lines were down) I ended up blacking out due to how strong the fumes were. I thankfully woke up the next day but my vision was spotty (seeing black spots). I had to go to the doctor to get breathing treatments. After investigating it turns out the neighbors pipes were joined to my unit. The doctor diagnosed me with lacquer poisoning, With the new management it happened again in September 2015 (twice), even though I had warned them about the pipe issue. Thankfully I was able to call the fire department which aired out the unit. They found lacquer can(s) opened open without any ventilation and other chemicals. Due to the new exposure I ended up in the hospital for about a week. I was diagnosed with meningitis. The doctors stated that this came from my immune system being weakened due to the lacquer poisoning and the medications that were helping me treat the condition. Now I have a bunch of medical bills which are affecting my credit and have to be on inhalers and other medications. To this day Ive yet to get any money back due everything that happened.

Worst drug infested place in the area. I’ve witnessed several drug deals, I’ve filed complaints about minors smoking weed in the backyard while my son is out there and nothing is being done. I have confronted the parents of the minors because I do not appreciate my son being so prematurely exposed to their nonsense. I don’t care what other people do as long as it doesn’t involve my children. Once I spoke to the parents the kid came over to my place banging on the door cursing me out making verbal threats. My car was broken into last weekend, I filed a police report called to the office to notify them, someone just took my name and number down and said they would let management know and they would get back with me. No one has called back, they couldn’t careless. All the positive reviews are about previous management. It seemed like from one day to the next we had three new people, they got rid of the best part about this place.

We lived at Maxwell for 3 years and will be sad to say goodbye. The staff and maintenance went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met over the duration of our time there. Our townhome was very spacious and as our family grew we even transferred to a larger floorpan while searching for a home to purchase. Overall experience was a positive one.

Dont rent here. They will bait and switch you on the apartment you agree to rent. Management is rude and talk badly about the tenants while you are in the office. The water is shut off 75% of the time, but your water bill is sky high. Property looks nice, but looks can be decieving.

!!DON’T LIVE HERE!!-AC been broken for months and no one comes to fix it so it’s always on 80 degrees-the ceiling was leaking and no one came so it eventually made the roof collapse-our microwave has been out for months and no one came after we continuously called (we had to just buy a whole new microwave so now we have two taking up space)-they never attend to the occupants needs but they’re real strict and tow cars like crazy- new porch lights are super dim (center areas of the complex are DARK)

I just spoke to Tammy. She was very rude. I just asked if she how many times i have requesed for it too be fixed and how many times they said it was fixed. Tammy hung up on me. I have had a leak in my kids roof since I moved here 2 years ago. They have told me its been fixed 4 times. Bought my daughter a new bed and now they want me to put it on MY insurance. I dont think its my responsibility. They told me it was fixed 4 times!¡! Dont talk to Tammy, she is not informative...cannot give you any information and then will hang up on you.

At first the leasing office staff were not professional nor very welcoming. Then there were staffing changes and the office has new faces and are very welcoming. The office sent out a community newsletter it was great - full of information and very positive. It was the first time I felt welcome.

Worst place to live do not move here!! Was promised a functioning backyard for our dogs and it was full of holes and broken pieces of fence so the dogs could get out. Whenever it rained the backyard would flood. Submitted multiple work orders and they finally fixed the backyard a month before we left. There were also cockroaches both kinds!!! The large ones and the german roaches. Save your money and keep looking.

They kept adding more fees on the rent every mouth didnt fix the roof on one of the bed rooms stuff falling off moved out with 2 mouths to go couldnt take it no more office never picks up the phone gates didnt work. Ive lived at other Apartments and this is by far the best one Ive stayed at so far. The management has always been friendly to me and the maintenance workers here are exactly the same. The location is great and never had a problem here. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Do not move here, place is disgusting with roaches everywhere. You have to constantly call the office just to get ahold of them for things that should have been taken care of, no one in the office knows what is going on and that goes for the so called managers as well. Make sure you dont just sign the lease but go over it before you do, for things like third party service and your term for the lease. Save you money and look elsewhere.

HUGE SAFETY CONCERN. I got injured while viewing an apartment. I made an appointment 3 weeks ago and called to confirm, only to find out the person I was meeting with wont be there so I had to reschedule--- red flag #1. I went to go look at the unit and FELL THROUGH THE STAIRS to the backyard. I stepped on the first step and, without any hesitation, just went through the stairs and scratched up my leg and elbow. When I took my leg out of the staircase, I could clearly see that the rest of the wood was rotted away. Had anyone even inspected this for someone to look at????? This was completely unacceptable and couldve resulted in a major injury for someone older.

**** stay away from this people krista the assistant manager hangs up on me because I was asking her things that they hide when we moved here and on the response they say talk to us.. The assistant manager threatened us to call police because we wanted to talk to her.Its a lie they are bad people dont move here...Bad customer service...Do not move here...I wish the corporate would be reading this and removed that people and fix everything and we are the customers and paying for the service,terrible management very poor customer service.. Water shutdown on and off. Even when they have your correct email they dont send you warnings. I really hate this place they lie a lot and us as residents are never right to them. Please dont move here they will put a nice face at first but next day you move in and the bathroom dont work and you call them they will tell you to you use the other bathroom even when you just moved in and you are paying for both....You dont have your own parking and people park and leave their car for weeks, months and you cant get a parking but you are paying, they dont care... In the beginning you see this big place, but wait until you libe here. This place is infested with humongous cockaroaches, centipedes, and fire ants. Every day I encounter a big cockaroach or a centipedes. Another upsetting thing is that is packed with families who seemed dysfunctional because their children are unsupervise. Just the other day, I was walking my dog and this girl was walking on her own pitbull dog. She seemed to have no control of it. I was fearing that I was going to be attack or my dog. Not only that, You also have teenangers destroying the picnic areas. A couple of days some teenagers got inside the gym and turn the lights off and tag the place. So if they were able to do that plus other damages, what could be next????... I complaint several times encountering teenagers in the gym, but they provide no solutions to your complaints.Overall, It has been a nightmare to live here.

So I’ve lived here for a while and I cannot speak highly enough about Maxwell Townhomes. From the staff and grounds to the amenities provided, I’m completely awe struck. I have to give a shoutout to the maintenance lead Bobby, he has been nothing but friendly, helpful, and specifically goes above and beyond to make residents feel cared for. I cannot think of one bad thing to say about the complex. 10/10 would recommend.

This place is a complete nightmare. I could not live here. I had an ongoing flea problem and I didnt even own a pet, am very clean, and had the place exterminated several times with zero improvement. I could not take it, I had to move. My daughter and I were being bit all the time.

Its been months since the winter storm an still have a hole in the laundry room ceiling the dishwasher still half way out and to make it worse we had rain an the water was getting inside the townhouse now to make it even better the air conditioner isnt working and they gave us two one for the bottom floor and one for upstairs and the one upstairs dont work and using these ones that they gave us to use while they wait for parts is amking the power go in an out at random my family has been more than patient through out this process I had items stolen off the porch and now they gave us a list of items that can no longer be on the porch cause thats the solution they kicked people out when units were not liveable and when we asked to move into a different unit we had to sign a new contract an pay more money than what this place is worth 1300 in rent and these are the conditions you live in and Im making sure we are keeping record of everything that has been going on since the beginning the pictures and videos that I have Im keeping my own records of all these incidents and probably will be taking them in soon cause now Im to my boiling point with these units that are costing more than what they are worth
