I came to visit the Chesmar Homes at Rose Hill and James Torres was the most accommodating. He remembered a conversation from over a year ago and showed me around the neighborhood. He also did a great job at designing the homes with the most unique finishes. Thank you for the great experience!

My wife and I had an amazing experience working with Josh Hyde when looking for a home at Stillwater Ranch Townsquare. I am active duty Air Force and was told I was PCS’ing to San Antonio, so we did research on new home builders and couldn’t find any companies that could compete with Chesmar Homes in our price range. Josh helped work with us being 1,200 miles away and helped us secure the Omar floor plan we wanted at a great price. He was always available for anything we needed and he made the whole process extremely easy for us, he even helped my wife look for jobs in the area. Unfortunately, my orders did not follow through and we are no longer moving to San Antonio, but I can’t thank Josh and the Chesmar team enough for making this such an enjoyable process. We are extremely disappointed that we won’t be able to work with move in to one of their homes, but they were so understanding of our situation and had no hard feelings when we broke the bad news to them. I would recommend Chesmar Homes, Josh Hyde or their mortgage lender Tony Halstead to anyone looking to buy a home in San Antonio. Top notch service.

We were the first family to move into Mesa Western. While there were a few minor speed bumps and headaches along the way, Chesmar was nothing short of outstanding during the construction of our home. Staci was very responsive and Chesmar addressed or answered every single concern we had along the way. Would highly recommend Chesmar to anyone looking to build a new home!!

Weve been here for over a year. As with all new houses, issues are expected given the number of contractors that are involved in the process. What distinguishes Chesmar is the excellent service they have provided AFTER we moved in. Tammy from the warranty department is outstanding and on top of all of our warranties. As soon as I submit it, she responds same day or next morning. Jasmien, the development manager has been instrumental in ensuring all of our service requests are followed through with and personally contacts the warranty contractors to expedite our service. She works long hours but is always reachable when we need her. Thank you Tammy and Jasmien!

If given the choice I would only ever trust Chesmar to build my homes. The level of detailed knowledge that MJ possesses is unmatched when compared to any other home sales person in town ( I know because I think I grilled every one of them!). We looked at at least 50 homes and were not satisfied until we found Chesmar. Their service goes beyond sales and they make you feel like family. Other builders want you to buy their plans but Chesmar really wanted to build us a home that would fit our needs. Waterford is a wonderful quiet neighborhood with good people and beautiful homes.

We just wanted to let you know that whoever did your electrical work did a very shoddy job with the work in our home. Over the past 3 years we have experienced various issues with our circuit breaker box, plugs not being wired correctly, having to pay for service visits from the extended warranty to fix issues that were not done correctly when the home was built. Each time we have to get someone out here, it costs us more money out of our pocket to get things fixed either through warranty or out of pocket. This has just left a sour taste in our mouth in the reliability and quality of Chesmar Homes for the future. We cannot in good faith recommend Chesmar Homes to future friends and family in the market for new homes if this is the type of quality to be expected from future builds. We have had additional issues with things, such as insulation in the attic, the type or duct or system not being the proper size for the type of home. Some rooms suffering from cooling/heating imbalance, just to name a few. For the promised quality and service we were promised, Chesmar homes has failed to deliver on several levels. We have now had to put in another request for 2-10 warranty to come and check our circuit breaker, and will probably have to pay them more out of pocket to inspect all possible plugs and sockets to make sure all wiring was done correctly. Also, our fire alarms are also randomly going off and resetting with the circuit not properly testing as well. Overall, we are disappointed in Chesmar Homes and all of its failed promises for such a pricey purchase.

Ive had a Chesmar home since 2021 along with 40+ warranty tickets to deal with since....and still dealing with in 2023. Run, dont walk, to a different builder! This is not my first new home so I know this type of quality is not normal! And almost every problem has led to a new issue.The warranty department has an immature tech system to report issues and the project person assigned to my community is the worst with communication and coordination - Jeff Schneider.It is exhausting trying to coordinate work to be completed and many times inspectors and/or workers show up and dont know what needs to be done. Jeff argues with vendor recommendations and prefers to bandaid the problem vs fixing it. He doesnt show up for inspections so everyone knows what needs to be done. This causes work to be rescheduled and/or redone. Jeff is careless and has no empathy for the fact that he is dealing with our homes and personal/work schedules.I have contacted the CEO and COO, but upon call back from the COO it felt like he was scolding me for calling about all of the issues and lack of service because they are fixing everything.No one at Cheamar cares about what happens once you close is the message Im getting. They promise quality homes but do not deliver on the expectation.

“Setting a higher standard” is their motto, but couldn’t be further from the truth!!! I would recommend Chesmar Homes, if you want to go through stress and very frustrating situations. We closed on our home 2 weeks ago, prior to that we did our final walk through, we noticed incomplete things in the house and were told that everything would be completed before we closed. Closing day: we walk into the home and nothing was done, projects were STILL left half done, nothing was done as promised. We are now 2 weeks later and the front door that we were told was on back order, finally arrived but was the WRONG door!!! How many more times do we have to repeat this cycle before it’s done right?!? There is no sense of Urgency to get anything done, of course because we gave them our money for closing! Chesmar delivers false promises and definitely does not live up to the standards and quality they speak about. We filled out a survey about the experience at closing, after this experience we should have waited to fill it out. So my recommendation is, if you are wanting more stress and you are looking for a nightmare, Chesmar homes is right for you!

Stephen and Julie were so helpful in choosing a floor plan and design options after we were under contract. I highly recommend them and Chesmar Homes!

If you are looking to build a home, go and check out Chesmar Homes in Stillwater Ranch. Martha, Jimmy, Megan and Tana are very knowledgeable and always willing to help. They have made our experience very comfortable. Check them out, you will not regret it.

My wife and I went into contract to purchase a Chesmar home in Madera at Cibolo Canyons in January of 2020. The homesites in Madera are some of the best in the city. All the builders there are excellent and I would say with some bias that Chesmar Homes leads the way. That is because the team of Sales Agent Hunter Weakley and Builder Jose Hernandez as well as Administrative Assistant Nadja Chatelain are caring, trustworthy, professional and very skilled people in the Home Building Industry. Both Hunter and Joses vast experience was evidenced throughout the home buying and construction process. Nadja kept us up to date weekly throughout the entire undertaking. Honestly, building a house can be a stressful ordeal and there is no such thing as the perfect home but the Chesmar team at Madera knows what theyre doing and they made the experience a pleasurable one.
