Want to purchase a home of you dreams but all you got was a home built with the cheapest materials and low skilled construction crews with the quality control standards that is on par with China? Then to top it all off, have a long drawn out and frustrating experience with the warrantee process where they only fix the easy stuff and refuse to fix crooked walls, huge bumps in the floors or replace trash upgraded flooring you paid extra for? Well, then bella vista homes are just for you. Proceed with extreme caution. Get absolutely everything in writing thru email. Inspect, photograph EVERYTHING you choose in your “custom home” i.e. paint colors, exterior, interior, carpets, and flooring materials, also note and photograph the ceiling height of the model home using measuring tape. Keep a sample of each material if you can, because it will not be what you get. Ask about everything so that when your house is constructed and it’s missing something they can’t tell you, oh that was add-on feature, you didn’t ask for it.
Home looked great at first. Been here a year and we have had numerous of problems. One main thing is our a/c I have gotten different companies to see is everything is good and they all said all is good except for the size of the units. Which if you look up, here in Texas 1500 to 1800sqft we should have a 3 to 4 ton. And we have a 2.5 ton. We had them do plenty of warranty fixes and still has not fixed our A/C problems and not to include the house was not properly sealed. Let’s not forget how long it takes them to respond. I will not be recommend legends home to anyone.
Horrible experience from day one of moving in. This builder cuts costs and corners in every way possible and it will show very quickly if you buy a house from them. Warranty managers are very unresponsive and I have been through 5 of them, including the Customer Service Manager who can’t even provide basic information to substantiate their claims in opposition to mine . Just today we had a plumber come out and he found multiple code violations just on the water heater alone. Vinyl flooring is repeatedly peeling up, floor boards are loose, numerous issues with water heating including rust already forming in the piping from using galvanized steel fittings instead of brass ones, water heater size is too small for the house (confirmed by a licensed plumbing company), nothing but one problem after another since the day we moved in. They patch one problem and two more crop up. Absolutely terrible build quality in these homes and they’ll be your best friend until you sign the papers and close. Then you’re in for nothing but headaches after that.
We purchased our home in Meadow Park in January 2020. In Dec 2020 we had a second inspection done and faxed in the results. We have spoke to 6 reps including Corporate Office regarding the 18 page inspection and getting our repairs done. It is now August and not one item has been addressed. We received one call back in February stating they were sending someone to check the windows. No one ever called or showed up. Beware of Bella Vista we are getting an attorney. Enough is enough.
Update:Very sad to say that the warranty part of Bella Vista is the worst Ive e er seen. They will schedule your appointment for basically 4 hours. Will not give ETA and then never show up. They blame the sub contractor. This has happened multiple times. Very unhappy customerDefinitely a listen to your customer kinda company. Thank you to James the division sales manger for taking the time to listen to me. Im glad that everything has been resolved.
I wish I could give them zero stars. We have had a horrible experience with Legend Homes; the sales rep, Chasmi, is UNPROFESSIONAL. Please stay away from Legend home by any means possible.
Ive bought 2 houses from this builder and will NEVER buy another one from them! In one ive had problem after problem, communication is atrocious! Quality is shotty to say the least, in one house the upstairs floor has already gone bad!! It seems they have no interest in satisfied customers! I wouldnt be surprised if the company goes under and they deserve to! DONT BUY FROM BELLA VISTA!!!!
No matter where you go or what home builder your talking to , just make sure you feel comfortable . Buying a home for many can and is a very stressful situation for anyone. Be prepared to have some pressure ; dont go in as a know it all, let the orientation happen. Even if youve been up this hill before. Let the new experience happen. You can read reviews, talk to friends. Fact is its gonna be your house . Not the Sales person, not your buddys , but yours. Give the walk through a chance , take notes. Understand your Warranty. You might find that this can make or brake a deal. Now there is a big difference in a typical track home, these are built as fast as possible with numbers in mind. Genuinely home builders have new Home Owners in their best interest. And no house is built perfect. Always something. Relax. Its not unusual. Always plan for extra time during the part of year for any build. This can lower the stress. Just talking with the folks at Bella Vista was good experience. And looking forward to a long lasting relationship.
Poor service on behalf of sales representative Cassidy Pfeifer, once she realized she made a sell, her level of customer service went out the door. I would never recommend to work with her. And if you do be sure to get everything she says in writing, because she doesnt follow through with her word. I believe that Bella Vista should really look into the type of employees they have working for them. When following up with Cassidy, she tells me Im harassing her, because Im following up on thing she told me she was working to get fixed. I must say I got mad, because she completely lied for no reason. I had to call cooperate in order to get information on how to properly request for things to get fixed. Which to me is the sales representatives job to make sure your buyer has all information needed. I shouldnt have to go that persons sales manger to get information or to inform them on how discomforting that rep made me feel. She made the day I got my keys horrible. Anyone that is getting into the home buying business or looking into there first home. I would definitely shop around before working with them, do your research! Not to mention, by the time I moved into my home my grass was dead, trees dead, and the walk through items were never completed. At this point, Im so over the entire process I rather deal with repairs myself so that I dont have to deal with them.
I have called multiple times regarding some warranty items that have yet to be fixed at our home. I put in a some service requests a little before our warranty expired and then we had the project manager come to inspect the house. The main issue at our home is that water accumulates by our front door every single time it rains and we can’t get in the house without getting our feet wet. They never followed up after coming to the house, nor they sent someone out to fix it. I have contacted the corporate office multiple times and every time the receptionist tells me she’ll talk to the project manager and have him give us a call and it never happens. We just want the issue to be fixed, but we can’t seem to be able to get in contact with the right person. We’d really appreciate if someone would help us with this.
Construction department of belavista is horrible. I’ve had problems with our subdivisions construction supervisor since day one. He is very unprofessional, rude , and comes off as a know it all. If you ask for his supervisors information he ignores and tries to argue. I attempted to call the corporate office and left a message with a secretary two times now over the course of two weeks and have still not received a call back. The warranty process is absolutely horrendous. They can only come between 8-12 or 1-4. So if you work a 8-5 or 7-5 job forget about having warranties performed on your home unless you can take a day off to babysit or have someone babysit your home. Overall very dissatisfied with belavista.
I highly recommend to stay faw away from use Bella Vista as your home builder. They use to be a great builder in the past, but with the current housing market, they will cut costs at every opportunity, strategically wait for last minute for walk throughs, and they will change construction plans without communicating with the signed new owner. They will not honor building plans and although they will promise they will make all corrections, in the end, the area manager will disapprove and you will be forced to accept as is or walk away! Stay away!
I just wanted to send a huge thank you to Cassidy and team at the Hudson Reserve! I started the process back in April, and since the moment I walked in I have always felt appreciated and valued as a customer. Cassidy has walked me thru each step of the process. From helping me pick out that perfect lot, picking out my color palettes, to giving me suggestions on which options that i might like she has been great! For example, It took me almost a week to pick out my outside colors! She was understanding and patient with me the entire time. She has always been responsive to the little issues that come up during the build process, and she reaches out to me to keep me updated weekly. I would definately recommend bella vista to any friends and family that might be looking to build a house! Sincerely, from my family to yours... Thank you, Cassidy for helping me find the house I have always wanted! And, thank you Bella Vista for having someone like Cassidy that is so sincere and caring❤!
Wow is all I can say. Absolutely terrible company. Seems like every time they get a quality employee, they get chased off. Just had my water cut off because they dont communicate with you. You cant call or email them. Houses are built by cutting every corner possible. Supers dont check work. They use voids as trash cans. The poor warranty lady tried hard but is swamped
Bella Vista Reps get a 5 Star especially Rick C. He helped us from day one and has been great every step of the way. What gets the 1 star wohld be the building managment they have. We bought our housr did the blue tape walk through then the second blue tape walk through and things from the first walk through were still there un unfixed. Fast foward a few months later issues come up call the builder since we havr a 1 yr warrenty with builder to fix any issues. First time i text him get a timely response about the issue. Lets me know he will send a person next day. Three days later still no one. This would be the start of an irritating relationship. Coming up on our 1 yr I text him the other day and he still hasnt responded. Our light isnt working even though there is a new bulb in it and he still needs to answer for what happened to my new deck because its only 4mths old but after his repair people came out it looks likr its 2yrs old. Scuff marks everywhere and now looks dingy. His first answer guess your gonna have to restain it. My advice would be dont sign until every blue tape issue is repaired and when he doeant reapond to text or calls just fill out a complaint order that goes above him and forces him to address the issue. Lucky we are Military cause we had to sign quickly so we would have a place to live and start work otherwise we would have waited. Although i will say this isnt the location where we bought. Ours was 1604 and Marbach
Incredible new home builder with amazing homes and even better people. The home buying experience is unmatched throughout San Antonio. You wont buy a new home from any one else once youve met someone on the Bella Vista Homes team!
I called bella vista home office because my balcony railing inside my house one of the metal railings fell of in between the floor apparently it was only glued in place. the balcony is in the interior of my home and they have not called me back since I first reported it. This poses a grave danger to any child. A child can literally fall from the second floor to the first floor very disappointed.
Eric in Seguin community Swenson Heights was great. The process to getting a home the second time has been better than the first…
WARNING! ⚠️ ☠❌🚫🛑⛔DO NOT INVEST YOUR FAMILYS MENTAL HEALTH & HARD WORKING MONEY IN A BELLA VISTA OR PRINCETON HOME! I dont even know where to begin regarding our toxic experience, our neighbors, and strangers who own a Bella Vista or Princeton Home! So disappointed on every level!!!
Joe Pineda was awesome! We had an electrical issue and he sent 2 maintenance guys the same day to fix the issue. Thank you!
We are disappointed and would not recommend this builder . Two years now and we are still waiting for Jordans crew to come fix our crooked patio post. Also, finance people were a nightmare to deal with. Yuck! and double Yuck!
Excellent builder and the customer service rep in Highland Grove is always on time and very nice
