Unfortunately very poor service. I wouldnt recommend a Toll Brothers home due to lack of communication. Also, once they get their hands on your earnest money they use that as leverage and do as they please. I should have read all the comments before committing to Toll Brothers. Suprisingly they stay in business!
TL; DR- beware of this company. Bad communication, no timelines, and they won’t do anything to make it right. This was a pretty unpleasant experience and almost two years of my life I won’t get back. Signed a contract in Feb 2021 on a house at Hillside at Landa. Told the process takes about 6-9 months. Great! Then nothing happens until Summer 2021. Construction starts and is slow but figure it’s permits, etc. We get weekly updates, things are happening, great. Then we get an email that they’ll no longer be providing estimates on when the house will be done per the VP of the company. Not awesome, but supply chain and labor shortages abound so, fair. Then more sitting and waiting. I start to notice other homes in other neighborhoods are progressing and are getting done, so why is our builder experiencing issues that others aren’t? Start asking questions, no straight answers. Interest rates are climbing. Decide to start looking at other houses. Talk to the VP of Rialto who actually says that they’ll give the earnest money back if we decide to go elsewhere, which I think is really kind. Then talk to the mortgage lender to get estimates on other houses found. Oh, did I mention that the preferred lender is the wife of the VP and that wasn’t disclosed? She talks us out of buying an existing home on the market and convinces to stay with Rialto. We stay the course for a bit and then interest rates start climbing. We ask for an estimate on when the house will be done. Don’t get one. Decide to just cancel the contract and this time no earnest money refund is offered. Also during all of this, Rialto is acquired by Toll Brothers. Rumors are that they were cash strapped and not paying subs on time and that is why houses were slow to progress. Not sure if that is true but would explain the delays that others didn’t seem to experience. Do not recommend giving this company any $$. You won’t get timelines and you’ll be annoyed and stressed. Life is too short, find someone else.
Very deceitful company, please beware!!!! The companies owner will only sign contracts from one specific lender. The lender they prefer is his common law wife (which is a major conflict of interest). So you will never get the best deal, even though you have been funded from your own lender. They throw their realtors under the bus, constantly! All of the realtors Ive met are very good at getting back to you, but whenever you need a specific answer from construction foreman or owner he will not answer any questions and the realtor is left taking the brunt of customers frustrations.I was working with a fantastic realtor. She was awesome, answering questions when we had them and walked us through everything. She is one of the best realtors in San Antonio with the highest sales!Come to find out, the company fired her under the guise that she was not contacting clients which is not true. She is a beautiful, in her late 60s African American woman and fired her because of age and race. Then a year later, they did the same thing to another African American realtor in the company and refused to pay them the commission for the sale on our house.Do your diligence and shop around for a different custom home builder. I would like to save anyone from bad behavior and bad business.
Expect to never be given an official completion date so they can just drag the process as long as possible. During the acquisition of Rialto by Toll brothers, the house just sat for many months with no progress. We hired an third party inspector at the pre-drywall phase, there were some major things that were ignored.
My wife and I have built a handful of homes in our lives and our experience with Rialto homes has by far been the best yet.The entire Rialto team, Sharon Walker (sales manger), Daniel Loren (project manager) Krissy Moore (design consultant) and countless others have exceeded our home building expectations. If you are considering building or buying a new home, I would highly recommend Rialto Homes!!!!
They sign contracts will less price and increase later where the price of other place increase by then which is the statergy to get extra money from home buyer, they are very safe in writing contracts just mentioning delay which from the builder site delaying purposefully and impose charge on the home buyers.
My son had a very very bad experience with them. If I could give them zero rating I would!!!
Great customer service and quality of their homes! Highly Recommend
They scam you horrible company
