Weve owned a house for a bit over 2 years and while the purchasing process was great, home ownership not so much. Over the years Ive spotted several shortcuts theyve taken and if I had a choice again, I wouldnt buy another house from this builder.The most recent issue is from incorrect shower installation. This caused a slow leak over the years and it just became noticeable from downstairs. This was the same problem that was spotted during inspection and we were told it was fixed. Just now realizing it was cheaply fixed. Tried to contact the builder through email, voicemails, and someone telling us theyll call us back, but we havent heard anything back.Few other issues we had worth mentioning were they put less nails and screws upstairs so the floors were squeaky after few months. This was true for 2 of our neighbors as well. We had warranty at the time so they came back to put in more screws. My neighbor had roofing and window leak issues as well. Oh and we found empty spaces in 2 rooms that could have been used as a small closets but were just covered with drywall. Anyways, if you have an option, go with a different builder.

Lizette is a fantastic representation of Starlight homes, she is very knowledgeable of her product and knew how to answer all my clients questions. Edit: After a long wait and lots of calls we were able to reach an agreement with them and thats why I will add one more star to this review. Hopefully after this we dont have any issues with the purchase of our house.Do not believe on any promises they do and make sure you have everything in writing because if not they will take it back and take advantage of you. Very disappointed on them. They lied to us two times through the process of closing. Definitely not recommending to anyone.

Do not buy from this company. They stole our earnest money knowing we didnt have enough cash to close to start with. Paulina Peña led us into believing that we wouldnt have to pay more than the $10,000 we had in our bank account for closing cost, which we disclosed with her prior to signing any agreement, just to later find out we have to pay over $15,000 just for closing cost alone, not including the down payment. We couldn’t proceed since we didn’t have the cash, and now they are not returning our $3000 earnest money. We ended up buying from LGI homes, closing costs are covered by the builder, and the interest rate is lower as well. Never dealing with this companyagain.

We bought the house late November 2021 and the first thing that stood out was the landscape. The sod was laid too far apart and it had pieces of concrete and rock under it. I have twisted my ankle once and tried reaching out to the front office by phone, in person and through emails, but no response. I spoken to one of the inspectors to which he responded very unprofessional.
