Valley Ranch is one of the great community in San Antonio where you can still find affordable homes built by Dr Horton. This community offers resort like amenities such as Olympic size pools, 24 hr fitness club, catch and release fishing. Dr Horton offers a variety of floor plans to choose from. I work with Megan Wallace a lot in this community. She has awesome communication skills and she’s been there for many years. I love working with DR Horton and they welcome Realtors there and they’re easy to work with. If you’re looking for a place to live in I hope you consider working with Megan and myself!

Horrible Horrible experience! The foreman and sales team lack communication skills, accountability, and professionalism. I closed on my home and Im still fighting to get basic repairs done that were suppose to be completed prior to closing. I recommend running for thr hills and purchasing at a different location if you have to use DR Horton.

Had a great experience with Antonio and the rest of the team getting my client into his first home. Antonio was timely and honest and did an excellent job assisting through minor set backs that arose as well as providing my client with the best incentives available. Looking forward to working with Antonio and the D.R. Horton team in the future.

As a Realtor here in San Antonio, my experience with DR Horton has always been great. This last transaction, my clients and I worked with Mike Martinez. He is by far, the best construction manager Ive worked with at DR Horton. He followed through on his promises to my clients, and produced a home they are proud of. He went above and beyond and made DR Horton shine!

Overall great experience from the beginning until the end. Even after closing in the house the team continues to check to ensure everything on the house was okay. Tony, Dawn, Mike and Francis provided extraordinary customer service. I would buy a home from D.R.Horton again.

We are scheduled to close a house built in Valley Ranch by DR Horton (original close date 3 months ago). It has been the worst new home build experience that I have every built. We did a walk through for inspection last week. There were broken windows, broken stove, most of the sinks were leaking, human waste permeating the house, molding not completed, columns built at a slant, trim no done, cabinets broken. I walked back through today and nothing has changed. They also told us they were delaying our closing again to next week because we requested so many repairs. Had they actually been monitoring the progress closely, they could have repaired these major things as they went along. No one is going to buy a new construction with broken cabinets and windows. And yes, the human waste is still in the house not cleaned up!! Our sales agent essentially said that the construction standards they have right now are low because it is hard to find help. Do not waste your time with this builder!

The only thing positive i have to say is that the lifestyle manager Austin is wonderful and does a tremendous job putting on events for the neighborhood. However, I pay around $1k a year in HOA fees and you know what that gets me? Broken gym equipment, a pool that is so packed they wont let you in. They just keep building houses and never planned on expanding or building another community center for the huge addition of people moving in. Also if there is such a huge influx of houses being bought then why is the fees still 1k? This place is sad and Ill be happy when my kids leave the school so we can go somewhere else.

This neighborhood is quickly growing and is located in quickly-developing area of San Antonio. The amenities are outstanding: resort-style pool and water slides, gym, basketball courts, tennis courts, playground, and an on-site community manager with a lifestyle director. The buying process was straightforward with the builders still on site. Within a few years, I expect the home prices in this area to go up a lot, so buy now when you have the chance to get in at an affordable price.

I am new homeowner at Texas! I recently closed Friday after three months trying to buy what is finally our dream home. We moved Saturday and unfortunately since we got here the a/c unit has not been working properly! A technician came on Saturday to try to fix the unit, yesterday had to come back because being in the house was unbearable due to the high temperature inside. Today I contacted Airtron because we still have the same issue and guess what?! The lady that answered the phone said there was no one available to come to check our unit. I called a second time, same lady answered the phone, I requested to speak to a Supervisor, she said that no one was available and that she was going to place me on a waiting list but it was not until tomorrow that someone could come. I think this is unacceptable!! We bought a new house and we havent been able to enjoy being in the house due to this situation! Not to mention that I have a minor that has a skin condition!! Customer Service after you buy the house is definitely not a five star rate!!

Mike Martinez (superintendent) is amezing. He was good at listening, kind and respectful toward my parents who speaks broken English. He also made sure that majority of the repairs get done mentioned in the inspection report before we closed.

This is a very community center. It’s still pretty new, but you can also tell it’s been kept up very well. Their cleaning policy sees to that. The space is a great size for parties and the large kitchen area is excellent for organizing food preparation, buffet style serving and storing decorations.

I have lived in Valley Ranch for 4 years and the amount of homes built has overcrowded the amenities. Valley Ranch isnt what it once was. I cringe everytime I see a family walk into the sales office, because I remember the tour they gave and the pool was amazing. I remember how excited I was to live here and pictured myself at the pool with my family enjoying our sunny days. Fast-forward to today, its too over crowded due to the amount of houses DR Horton is pushing in this community. If you look at DR Hortons page all of their amenity centers look awesome, but I wonder how many of their communities are having the same over crowding issue. Attempts by VR residents to the HOA for a 2nd pool has fell on deaf ears. Hopefully, honest reviews by residents who live in DR Horton communities could be addressed by DR Horton, since DR Horton is still building & selling the homes here. Let it be known that overcrowded pool is a real problem at Valley Ranch community and DR Horton has an opportunity and time to remedy the issue by putting in a 2nd pool to help with the overflow. Please do not respond, for me to address concerns with HOA, because to my understanding, its not in the plans to build a 2nd pool, please show the people that bought your product (DR Horton home, in a DR Horton Community) that you stand by your product of DR Horton Communities and you care enough to fix the over crowded amenities by building a 2nd pool. Right now it feels like a bait & switch, we were baited in with the idea of a wonderful community amenities and amazing pool and the switch part is we cant enjoy any of them because of how overcrowded they are due to the amount of houses that have to share 1 pool.

We have been leaving in our house for 2 years now. It is a community that stands together. Very helpful and caring neighbors. But it’s getting out of control. Talking about how crowded it’s getting. It’s impossible to use amenities, and DRH refuses to build more amenities and we still pay the same amount for HOA. It’s sad that we do not get to enjoy everything our community has and promises to all the home buyers.

We recently purchased a home here, which is beautiful, however-delay after delay. We sold our house out of state, drove 3 days to get here and we have no home to move into. Poor communication and no commitment to timelines or responsibility for delays. They could care less that because of their delays my family will but have a place to stay we continue waiting to move into our home. This is costing us a fortune in air Bnb’s and because of the last moment extensions to the closing dates we’re now going to be homeless with our 5 year old, 3 dogs and a cat. They don’t care. They have houses to stay so they can sell and finish at their leisure. Btw-we work from home as well...

Valley Ranch is great neighborhood, but our house was poorly built. We bought a DR Horton Express Home in March. Ive already had bricks torn out of the front of the house due to the wall being over 2 inches off, ceiling ripped out, walls ripped out, shower made creaking and popping noise every time we stepped in it, and now I have a musty smell in my bathroom. I have a whole list along with picture on what is wrong with our house. I havent been able to enjoy my home because we found so many things wrong due to poor craftsmanship right away. They send out handyman people to make repairs that just try to do patch work to cover up the imperfections instead of doing the job right. DR Horton s philosophy of superior craftsmanship is stated on their website, however, I have yet to see the truth in that statement. My next step if things do not get fixed correctly is to contact an attorney.

D.R. Horton is exploiting the area and home buyers.Community is severely overcrowded with no proper infrastructure to support it and with no interest in adapting it. The amount of car crashed Im around the area is astounding for a residential area.VERY POOR quality houses built by cutting corners resulting in added costs to the homeowner.D.R. Horton does not respond to Warranty service requests.HOA fee is 750$ a year plus 187.50$ quarterly fees. Resulting in a true HOA fee of about 1500$.
