I have lived at the La Risa going on 3 yrs. An in this time theres been Manny challenges put before me, an certain other tenets living here at la Risa, just the other day the manager here sent out a fist full of late fees to the people they claim were late on their rent, well I received one myself saying I owed 55 dollars for late fee, but the thing is I have never been late on rent, this place is so bad at the front office people quoting all the time, money orders coming up missing, its just real bad here, just two months ago they have two ladys quit together that did all the paper work , they were displeased the way they were treated so they left, in the mean time residents are being charged twice for their poor work habits, I wont be paying for something the office did, I always paid on time, this complex needs a new management here if la Risa is going to make it because this place is going down hill fast
You all that have bad experiences with anyone in affordable housing have options. You can get Free Legal Aid Attorney & also ask who they Contract with you can call them as well, also there is Tenants Council. All you have to do is Google to find the number or email. I am tired of hearing that people are being taken advantage of and no one to help us. I have been thru many managers that are horrible & have tried to steal from me & go into my apartment when they please. I figured out there is always someone higher & willing to listen. You can get help you just have to make calls. Ive had to call many places until someone heard me out and believe me there is good people out there still. Its sad that it has to get thus far but you do what you have to for your family. GoodLuck
Ive been a part of Prospera properties at the Montabella Pointe apartments for 8 years and just signed my ninth lease and my experience has been: It was wonderful when I moved in everything was being kept up but it appears as new properties are opening up for prospera less attention and money is spent on the older properties, I cant get cooperation from corporate and yes it had to elevate to corporate because office managers can only do so much and now I cant even get corporate to respond. My concern is dont forget about the loyal people who have been residents with you for years because we feel forgotten and neglected. We currently have needs that have yet to be met .
I’ve lived at the Starling Apartments for almost 3 years now. I can honestly say I loved it regardless of how many times management was changed. All of the office managers have been kind. Joe is currently the office manager and he came determined and motivated to better our complex, Which is great although nothing much has changed. Here are my complaints.The pool had never been open (due to COVID) and although he finally got approval to re open it it was pointless bc the water was green and it was only open for a short period of time.The hallways are never cleaned or washed anymore. Myself along with other residents have complained about how disgusting these walkways are and joes response was it was the trash.. & to take a picture of whoever has trash out….The dumpster has always been an issue due to laziness of residents but it looks worse with furniture and trash on top.The gym was my favorite thing. Especially it being 24/7 I completely agree with safety and security and am aware a couple of months ago someone tried to break in. This was before our key locks and now that we have more security I don’t understand why the hours changed. Joe said it’s Gloria (His boss)This is what really bothers me.I was on the waiting list for a 3 bedroom just to find out I wasn’t.I found out after 6 months of waiting that I was never on the waiting list.This gentleman (not joe) had put me on the waiting list. After that I was calling frequently asking about the status. About a month ago I was told I was next and when a unit opened up I could apply. THIS BEING ALMOST A YEAR OF WAITING. Just so Joe could tell me it was for an 811 whatever that means. When asked why I wasn’t notified he said he just found out today and that he would talk to Gloria.Our phone call seemed rushed and said he was wrapping things up at work and could call me Monday.Joes never been rude but today seemed off. Not sure what’s going on but I’m over it.Things need to change.I wanted to speak w corporate but nobody seems to answer so sadly I’ve got to write this out publicly.I have pictures of the pool, walkway and dumpster.I’m aware of how sketchy things have been in the passed with these apartments and wish not for things to be complicated but resolved.Please contact me and I can explain everything further. If you want peace of mind and peaceful safe living, this is not the place for you. I have been threatened, spat at, and had my plants destroyed multiple times. I have been threatened by my upstairs neighbor and her friends multiple times. I have called the police, talked to management, sent emails to corporate. Nothing happens to her other than she gets to keep treating me the way she does. If you can livid somewhere else please do, this place is aweful.
Horrible they never answer your call for complaints! Been having problems since I moved in !!!
The starling apartments have the most difficult staff to deal with, every since the new manager and new maintenance got on the property they been harassing tenants, not making sure that they complete their job on a timely matter or doesnt want to do their job, very disrespectful and wont listen to the tenants needs but always talking over tenants and calling their tenants liars in their face and want to spy in tenants apartments. But be quick to want to see if you have anyone your own apartment so they can threaten to throw the tenants out on the streets if they see anyone in there, if anyone looking to find a place to live starling is not the place. I am thinking about looking for another place to live because Im tired of the harassment I have to endured while living here and being spy on.
Crystal has made it so hard to move in. Ive seen her yell at maintenance she will postpone your move in to the extreme. Give you the run around, lose your paperwork and be rude to you degrade you. Corporate Mrs. Gloria and KC will ignore you. Maintenance is leaving due to Crystal screwing him over with his bonus and more obvious reasons. And Crystal will throw you under the bus so much to save her self. Told another resident about how her father is a successful pot smoker so that there is nothing wrong with smoking in the apartments. Prospera ought to be a shamed defending this woman. You lost so many people and maintenance in Guild Park. And prospera will lose more if you ignore whats being said especially if youve answered the phone and failed to listen when it was hard to get a hold of youll in the first place.
Sutton Square Duplex is an ok place to live, they are always changing management on us. The manager we got now Latoya is not a nice person she not very helpful, can we getAnother manager. We have Roaches, mold, duks areSo dirty makes sick with allergies and asthma.
Been here since 2011 in the last 3 there has been No consideration for the people who live in your apartment complexes you keep sending back the same angry maintenance man who screams it everyone the second things dont go his way hes been in confrontations with dozens of residences and frankly we cant take it anymore I am only one of 14 residents who have been together we have a 155 page packet that we will be taking to Kens 5 to expose Montebello point and all of prospera for the slumlord company that cares nothing for renters
Prospera provides such an important service to our community needing not only housing assistance but assistance with all of the necessities in improving the quality of our familys lives. Grateful this organization exists in San Antonio and Corpus Christi.
Janel Zamora, Leasing Agent, and Giselle Gillis, Resident Services Manager, really made my friends first day at La Risa Apts. great! They were both so helpful and supportive--my friend was nervous about moving, but these ladies made her feel right at home and secure in the knowledge that she has the help she needs to move forward with her life in a safe place. Kudos and thanks to both of these housing professionals who do an outstanding job of helping others--with a lot of heart---they are top-notch!!
Prospera Housing Property, New Braunfels Village Circle complex, are a JOKE!The regional office is the MAIN JOKE of all. They do not tend to their residents. Shame on you! Marta, Sylvia, Dorothy....
This corporate office is very unprofessional they do not contact you back when making complaints about their properties...OAK MANOR APARTMENTS IS ONE of THEIR PROPERTIES AND THEY STEAL MONEY FROM RESIDENTS..they will put a damage fee bill as a late fee for your rent then later send another damage fee bill..they have eraser pens and will erase your information then lie...do not trust management at these apartments they will try to steal everything you got...as well as corporate
