Honestly, this is the first home I purchased and am not happy. I just completed one year of living here, and did the inspection to submit to the warranty and basically found out the quality of my house is terrible. So let’s start with that. You can tell that they probably hired the cheapest labor around because both my showers missing grout, The caulking everywhere is horrible, There’s dents in the shingles from the roofers, putting their ladders, wherever, pieces of trim that were left unpainted outside. Driveway is already cracked in several places and it literally looks like they just dumped cement on most of the sidewalks as well. I like To take my dogs out on walks, and you can just tell that the sidewalks were made really shoddy as well as the streets, cracking everywhere. They added trees to the streets, but towards the back, the trees are very flimsy, and I guess they didn’t have enough money to put trees all the way down. I could write an essay about all the things wrong with my house but let’s talk about the amenities. The pool has damage that has not been fixed since I moved in last year in January, Missing tiles that if you’re not careful, you can cut yourself on. They hire lifeguards during the summer and on busier days that don’t attempt in any way to stop all the kids horse playing around or fighting in the pool and I mean fighting as in fist fighting so if you have a little ones be careful. There’s also kids that will come to the pool be there all day and then start trying to hustle you for pizza money or for the snacks you brought. The gym is a joke. There’s probably like six machines in there and I try to use the gym but it was either being hogged by somebody the whole time or there’s kids in there horseplay. You’ll have parents that bring their kids because they don’t have a babysitter and have a whole stroller parked in there next to the weights and then complain when you’re trying to bypass them to get to the equipment. Don’t get me started on the park that barely began to get maintenance because of all the residents here complaining. For the whole year that I lived here, the fence didn’t cover it completely. There was a huge gap on the bottom where your dog could escape the grass was never cut, so it was very long, and there was nobody coming to maintain and clean it. It’s literally an enclosed field. I have lived in apartments with better dog parks, pools and gyms and we have to pay a $200 HOA fee quarterly so keep that in mind. Unfortunately, I feel like we were swindled by our sales people and Realtor during the red tag sale where we were literally given that one day to decide if we wanted to put the down payment on the house and we are first time homebuyers so we fell for it. Buyers beware. Especially if you get one of the plans that have a one car garage I feel like these houses are the worst. Remember that glimmer isn’t gold.

I’ll begin my review by stating that I will NEVER purchase another DR Horrible Home ever again. This was my very first home purchase and little did I know the issues that would arise and the money I would have to spend to fix a brand new home!!Let’s start with the fences, they are horrible! It would be helpful to know, prior to signing, that the fences are made with cheap wood and wood that is not pressure treated or the correct wood for fences.Be prepared to spend more money than you should when purchasing a brand new home from DR Horrible! The HOA? Although the office staff is very kind and respectful, they can only do what is in their reach. The pool is overcrowded!!! There are way too many people in the subdivision for one pool, one fitness center with unattended children playing in there, smoking weed, and breaking equipment. The common areas are trash!!! Literally trash throughout the neighborhood for several days before it’s being cleaned up.The ponds are always polluted with trash. The splash pad is broken quite a bit, and I’m truly unsure what the HOA fees actually go towards. CCMC needs to do a better job at doing as they expect residents to do.

Ross and Derek are so fantastic. I am always at ease when sending clients to them because I know that they will provide first class service! They are both so knowledgeable about their homes that I feel extremely comfortable asking any questions. I appreciate their hard work and commitment to my clients.

So let’s start off with the bad and finish with the good. Builder is not responsive. Lack of care is very evident. First issue, A/C. Mind you this is a brand new home. My family just moved in last month (June 2023). My A/C hasn’t worked since the day after closing, I reached out to the office and explained that it was 85 degrees in my home and the humidity was 74. Was told the builder would reach out. Waited two days nothing. So I called the hvac company and had it handled on my own. Found out the builder/installer put the unit in wrong and messed up the cooling line. Cool it’s under warranty so it’s free. Just my family roasting for 2 weeks but it’s fixed. Then I check the irrigation line (that was mentioned to be broken during the blue tape walk through) and guess what. It’s still broken. Water spewing flooding my back yard on the right side. I call the irrigation company to set up the Wi-Fi so I can make sure which sprinkler it is. Welp that isn’t happening because the builder didn’t install the machine properly so now I have to wait for the irrigation company to send a tech out. Water spewing everywhere let me call the water company to inform them (plus I need to water my front grass more since it’s newly placed sod) okay cool. Call the water company and I need to know the irrigation permit# and the timeline set how much water comes from the system per drip/bubbler zone. So I asked “where do I get this information” the response from The water company was “the builder” great. Cause getting in touch with him has been so easy. Let me say this. My wife and I love our home. We really do. But the lack of care from the builder. Honestly makes me caution future home buyers. Maybe Dr Horton is NOT the right choice for you.

ALCON,DR Horton in Texas does not use professional builders to build the their houses. They do not use the best material!!! If you can back out of the house you plan on buying, do it. Also, with express homes you can not change the floor plan at all. If you want hardwood flooring throughout the house the answer is no. DR Horton warranty employees don’t want to help you. They will come to your house and try to find reasons not to fix the problem they created. Their Customer service is terrible. They especially like to go after military members for their VA loan. I purchased a home from them and they had to constantly come out to fix something. They rather use cheap labor that produce poor quality, rather than employing experienced construction workers who will do a quality job. I’m going to contact the VA office and ask how the inspector didn’t see these issue. DR Horton is robbing Americans. Don’t believe the random post that don’t go into detail but say the houses are great. They are most likely people who work for DR Horton.

I would never recommend anybody buying a house from here first of all. I been here for about 2 years I still have not heard from anybody about my carpet being replaced and that’s been when we first moved in. The Warranty guy named Stephen said oh well replace it but never Made his promise. There was a lot of promises made when we bought this house and nobody ever follow through with it even the guy we closed on Scott said I will fix this and fix that never that’s why I would never recommend anybody buying a house from here ever again. I even tried to call corporate and they keep hanging up on me and the new warranty guy now Gilbert I can’t ever get a hold of him. Our floor is coming up our master bedroom carpet is has not been replaced.

We drove by with no appointment, Chris was a available to show us some models and lots. Absolutely no sales pressure at all. Was able to answer all of questions easily and understood our non- negotiables. Would recommend this development if you are in the market for a new build house.

I absolutely love living here! I started to build in 2018 & I did have a few bumps in the road and closed in January 2019. My neighbors are amazing, and it’s a great community for children! Amenities are awesome and we use them quite frequently! Stephen did address one small inquiry and took care of it immediately! Thank you Stephen & Gilbert!!

Neighborhood music is way to loud during the late night ours between 11pm and 3am on multiple night not just the weekends. The dogs.. people just leave their dogs out barking for literally 40 to 50 minutes...not just one dog but multiple neighbors dogs. I would move if I didnt buy my house.

Just browsing site to get idea of current new home designs and construction costs. Three stars because lot, garage and home are smaller for the price. Also the HOA costs are too high for the amenities provided.

Just bought my home here and both Derrick and Ross that work here are amazing at what they do. They helped my wife and I find an amazing new home we are looking forward to and did everything they could to help us sort financing out without unnecessary jargon that can be confusing and extremely stressing for any home buyer
