I visited the tool rental center and got outstanding assistance from Vontrell, Kyle, and Maddy. They truly went above and beyond to support me with my small personal project and were very knowledgeable. If youre at this Home Depot and need help or tools to rent, be sure to ask for one of them. They didn’t match my paint at all to the old can I gave them and took the old can so I have to now paint the entire room instead of an edge job. Now the new flooring doesn’t look good with this light green paint. Was supposed to be fossil grey.Plus they don’t enforce masks or customers to distance. Several employees had mask below their nose.
I am a Home Depot loyalist, but two bad experiences at the Helotes Home Depot has me willing to battle traffic and drive further down the road to the local Lowes. My first bad experience was about a year ago when I went to the store and they had closed early. Not a good experience when you are installing a water heater and need last minute parts. If you are changing the store hours, make sure to update the hours you have posted online. My latest experience was with a 2 panel framed solid wood door I had ordered online. I received my confirmation email that the door had arrived, but when I went to pick up the door they could not locate it. My package paperwork was attached to the incorrect crate, so the thought is my door was given to the wrong customer. I requested that a new door be reordered and shipped to my house with free delivery, but was told this could not be done through online order. All in all, not a big deal I guess, loss of a little over an hour of my Saturday and have to push the project back 3 weeks until a new door arrives. Felt compelled to write this review as I am disappointed as I have never had a bad experience at any other HD.
I walked in to purchase boxes of tile. A young man working the area was just finishing up an install & was speaking to 2 white ladies. The ladies left the area as I had located what I was looking for. The boxes of tile were heavy & he saw me struggling with it & decided to ask me if I needed help ONLY AFTER I had finished getting the box in the cart with help from my daughter. Guess he didnt think a Hispanic woman had money to spend in that store!
They have changed the register design at the contractor check out to self serve options (I think?) Sometimes a cashier will help you. It is kind of confusing and I dont know why they did it. The cashiers are always really nice and helpful people though so no real complaint.
You need it. They got it. They dont got it... theyll order it. Went in for special-order item received it one day ahead of schedule. Email notification and call picked it up and installed it same night with an excellent outcome.
