My initial lender, who assured me I’d get approved, backed-out on me 15 days before the closing date. I pivoted to a second lender who wasn’t able to get me approved either. This was the first time I had ever tried to buy a home. I was really upset and was ready to give up and lose my $5,000 of earnest money plus option, inspection & appraisal fees. Luckily, I mentioned this to my boss, who happens to be married to a really knowledgeable realtor, and she told me to call Joel Comp at Gold Financial. I was reluctant to call him at this stage of the process because I felt like I’d just be wasting his time, but she insisted, so I did. It was a life-changing phone call. Joel Comp used his years of experience, skill and “loan know-how” to find a way to get me approved when other lenders couldn’t. He personally contacted the seller’s agent, and got them to extend the closing date by 2 days, at no additional cost. My case was not an easy one. Well, first of all, i never had much vocal contact with Walter, but he did not seem to keep up with paperwork very well. He often had us signing thing last minute and in a hurry, as if he had forgotten. Plus sometimes i would submit things to the app and then they wouldnt even access them, almost as if they didnt know how to use their own app. My mother also told me that he acted rudely to her in an interaction when she tried to communicate her complaints, which reflects very poorly on the business as a whole. I think things could have been handled much better then they were.

Gold Financial Services, and Joel Comp, were very communicative and replied quickly to any and all my concerns. From the beginning they were straight forward and honest with me, but also encouraging and warm. When normally frustrating points in the home buying process arose, this team was always there to help me through them, and when I was worried I would have to walk away from the deal, they worked tirelessly to make sure they could find a solution I was comfortable with.

We had such a great experience working with Holden and Gold Financial Services. Our situation was a bit complicated but Holden still made the entire process go so smoothly. He went above and beyond to make sure we got our loan and into our house.

I’m just amazed at how other people had such a grand and wonderful experience. I don’t recall my family receiving the same treatment from Joel and his team. Let me share my personal experience you guys. First of all, I would never recommend this company for any mortgage or refinancing loan services. The Gold Financial Services team especially the loan officer Brian that handled my case breached his fiduciary duties which lead to not being properly informed about all services provided and full disclosures of ALL policies. They were not very helpful, and they waited until the last minute to give us the news of a denied loan after the fact. Then, they tried to offer a different loan with extremely ridiculous terms that almost seemed impossible to reach at the last minute. The denied loan could have been avoided if we had been properly informed in a timely manner. The closing was not successful, because of all the hidden conditions. We had to jump through unnecessary hoops which created anxiety and stress. The delivery and services were not handled well which put my family in a financial hardship because of their lack of communication and cooperation. This company has no compassion for their clients, and they lack empathy.

I cant say enough about our experience with Marissa Mcka! This young lady goes above & beyond to help her clients! My wife & I have tried multiple times in our 31 year marriage to purchase a home, only to get excuses as to why we couldnt until we talked to Marissa. If youre a vet trying to purchase a home RUN AWAY! Im a vet using the VA loan. There are easier ways to waste your money than doing business with individuals like Maurice Matthews from Gold Financial Services.This organization lied to me, ghosted me, and started sharing my personal loan information with other individuals even when I couldnt get them to take my calls. This is the most shameful and unprofessional conduct I have ever seen in my adult life. I made huge financial decisions based on the guarantees of this organization. Decisions that would have made me just another homeless vet if I didnt have the support system I have. Maurice Matthews is inept at communicating in meaningful ways. I was told at various points that my closing cost was going to be $5,000>>$11,000>>$1,000>>$19,000 and finally that I shouldnt have ever been given a pre-approval letter. Mind you, a lot of this was not being communicated directly to me.Read some of the 1 star reviews. My experience is not unique. They will suck you in with lies then try to scam you out of money.

OMG! I WAS friends with the president of this company and did a lot of work for them. We decided to buy a new home. Jason Knapp, the president, said that he put the best Loan Office with us. This guy knew nothing about loans at all. Gave us 3 different down payment amounts and was off by 10k. He didnt know at all what he was doing. He told us to transfer a certain amount to an account for the down payment and was off by 17k. We had to do a $50 one day wire cause he didnt know how much to put down on the loan. Had to hire another team to recheck their work. Paid double the amount. If you get Chris Gunnels watch out. I think he was Jasons friend that he hired. He has no knowledge of loans. He also provided us with an Agent. She knew more than Chris about loans but was no better at her job. Maybe Covid did this but geez. Cmon guys. Know how to do a job before doing it. Never once got any numbers right. Had to send every document to my brother in law to look over and tell Chris errors that he made. If someone is reading this from HR then he needs retraining of some sort before this happens to someone else.

I called Gold Financial requesting to receive a pre-approval for a VA loan. In the beginning everyone seemed to be very nice. Terrence was very informative and eager to assist me. However, my file was delegated to Sonia. After turning in all paperwork that was requested by Sonia, I never heard back from her or anyone else. Sonia was/is very difficult to get ahold of. I know this is a great company but I feel as though Sonia doesnt want to provide me with a pre-approval. Ive left multiple messages with no call back. Im very disappointed in this whole process and feel as though Ive been overly patient. Im willing to discuss this situation to hopefully resolve this issue.

Working with Danny Palmer and Rebecca Garcia went smoothly. There were a couple times I had to get with another agency to get necessary information but that was only because I was the only one allowed to ask and receive the information needed. Other then that, Danny and Rebecca handled everything and did an amazing job. Danny even continued working with via cell phone while he was on vacation with family. Both Danny and Rebecca also worked weekends when needed to get everything done so as to close on the day of closing.
