They have always been quick to respond to any outreach and are super helpful with answering any questions. Decided to visit Lockaway Storage this morning after reading the reviews online. When I entered the establishment, I noticed how clean the front office was. The nice lady behind the counter greeting me and my husband. I asked her a few questions regarding units, payments, and she was very informative and polite. I asked if we could see a few units to gage size and she happily complied. After making our decision we did the paperwork. She explained everything in detail and made sure I understood the leasing agreement. I would definitely recommend this place. Thanks Crissy for all your knowledge and help!!

Had issues securing a unit over the weekend. Chrissy called me first thing the following Monday morning and helped me get it squared away. Just moved in and this facility is much more modern and clean than my previous facility.

Had to get a storage due to downsizing home. Went in and was helped quickly by a girl name Chrissy I believe. I am sorry, I do not remember your name. She was very accommodating and answered all questions I had which was a ton. She had a very lengthy conversation with me and informed me on every last detail. Would highly recommend this facility due to her knowledge and expertise in her field. Hope to work with her again if I ever need anything further!! 10/10 on customer service which is EXTREMELY hard to find nowadays.

Ive been using this location for several years and its been a great experience. Theyre professionally ran, the property is kept quite clean and theyre very accessible. My one complaint is they seem to get more and more costly...Ive gone from 3 units to 2 and soon I may will be forced to go to 1. Their deals are qreat but once theyre gone...bam. I havent price them but Im sure theyre comparable to others. Its just rising cost of everything, but being a long standing customer doesnt mean much when that special expires...

Had a wonderful and speedy process! Chrissy Gutierrez answered all my questions & was upbeat and diligent throughout the whole process. If youre looking for a good, honest storage facility, youve found it. Staff is super friendly and attentative. The complex itself is modern, secure, and clean. Easy entry / exit and bill pay via the app. What more could you ask for? Wish Id have rented a unit years ago!

Best customer service I’ve ever had when dealing with a storage facility. I had moved out a few days (2) after payment was drawn. Yet helped me and refunded the full amount back. When they didn’t have too, per contract agreement. And always helpful when I was there. Place is clean and friendly.

Reserving a storage unit was a breeze, called in Sunday afternoon and following morning walked into office and in ten minutes had a clean, climate controlled storage unit. Ive rented quite a few storage units in my life but by far this was the best experience I have ever had.

Convenient for granting access to someone in your group and more importantly adds greater security to my business and property in storage.I have been there over four years. Grounds are always well kept. Good customer service. I like their new flex units for store fronts. Great new concept.

Excellent well lit and climate controlled facilities with good security and 24/7 access. I had a unit with them for the better part of 8 years and had very few issues and none since the new management took over. Theyre also super convenient just about all the local apartment complexes and they have struck thats available rent at a discounted rate if you have a unit with them.

Great service from start to finishing. Someone was there at the front when we first got there and it was a quick process getting a large unit. Easily accesible with drive up to unit option. Great security for your lockers! Was able to leave a uhaul there overnight when loaded and wasnt worried about it being broken into. Cameras to secure your items and unit.

Just finished my time at lockaway storage and rented one of their trucks. it was easy, affordable, and the manager was great to work with! definitely would recommend for anyone needing a truck on a budget. easy location to access as well. 10/10! definitely coming back to Lockaway Storage !

Were glad we chose lockaway storage over others because we have never had a problem with the facility or staff. Its always clean and maintained and Damien is always helpful in making sure we get the best deal for our storage needs. We would recommend this location to anyone looking for a unit.

The employees were great! Super easy to work with and payment was easy to make. Price is reasonable. The one thing that has me rattled is they back up to an apartment complex and the fence is missing boards or has loose ones. My unit was broken into and there was footage of them breaking in however no facial recognition was captured leaving the thieves unapprehended. This was not the first break-in there so I can imagine it won’t be the last.

I rented 5 units for over a period of 3 years, initially contracted under previous management. Not only are the facilities in great condition, but I would also like to acknowledge the caring & professional manner of Site Manager. She demonstrated that she supports her customers even after the units are rented. I strongly recommend this facility for all your storage needs.

Lockaway Storage has changed my perception of what storage spaces should be like. I was always skeptical of storage spaces in general, after hearing nightmares from family and friends. After retiring and moving across country, I needed a place that really cared for my entire household temporarily. I was able to find the perfect storage place that met my needs. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, plus the property and storages are very clean and maintained. I highly recommend Lockaway storage!

Ive posted before as I have been a long time customer at Lock away and have seen many faces come and go including staff. Service seems to have suffered a bit after Damian the old manager left to teach at UTSA, I was worried that I might have to move my small business operation elsewhere. Now a new experienced manager took over and things just changed for the better. Crissyhas made changes that reflect a proffessional is in charge, a leader that from day one made changes like better lighting, smart security system, maintenance, property cleanliness to a welcome smile and wave as you enter the gate. You can see a strong but caring person who takes the job seriously for example, While I was working late putting together veterans equipment, I observed Crissy go door to door making sure customers belongings were secure and making sure the dumpster had room usually the trash would really pile up Ive never seen that area so clean now. So anyway, I dont get paid for this I just thought Id post this letting the public know we need more people like this, so if you want great customer service with a person that goes above and beyond look no further than Crissy at Lock away Storage on Dezavala. I was in a bind where I needed a storage immediately. I went to Lockaway Storage and was greeted by Grace, the manager on site. Grace turned my stressful situation into a pleasant one. Grace was able to accommodate my needs by finding me the storage I was looking for. Grace was extremely professional, immediately acknowledged every customer who walked in the door and was great at multi-tasking. I will definitely recommend Lockaway Storage to friends and family, because of the exceptional customer service I received from Grace.

I’ve been at this place since 2010. Used to be called premier STORAGE.Alan, Eddie, and Brittany were the originals at this location. Best people ever. There has been a few others worth noting. Damien, Grace and Mauricio. Everyone between them past and present were the worst.Probably in the last 4 or 5 years they’ve gone through so many managers at this location. With that there has been countless problems as well.False promises of keypads at the doors.On going homeless people problems.Apartments behind the property has major problems with its tenants. So much so. One of them used several of the outside rollup doors as target practice a couple years back. Damaging someone’s vehicle that he was being stored there.December 1st 2018, I was attacked by a homeless guy. There was a police report filed. Damien did the best he could. Don the owner did not care. Turning several 10x30s into smaller units were more important than the tenants safety.Damien had left, that’s when Mauricio took over.Mauricio said the owners were going to be revamping the entire security system.The 24hr live monitoring was a total joke.They’ve had countless homeless people problems.Never felt safe unless I was carrying.Convenience, price and location is what kept me there.March of 2021 Mauricio was fired.Well all of the codes and 24hr access were disabled.I was locked until 2am.The fire department had to come and let me out. There was no one available to let me out. None of the staff for the store were available.Even the 24hr monitoring people said it had been canceled for several months.That’s when Andrew with the company reached out to me. Apologizing up and down. Especially for me losing over a thousand dollars in sales that night. All be offered todo was “comp me” for the month of April.He assured me that going forward I would have 24hr access. No charge for that. Even texted me little after 11pm confirming my code worked past 10pm.Then in June my rate went up with out warning or anything 16 dollars. Usually I get a price bump in January or February and its a 10 dollar increase.Back when the whole “no key” system went in. I was told by Chris that “any existing customers that have been there over 24 months will get charged 150.00 plus the cost to cut off the old lock. He said depending on if the tenants were present or not and they could remove their current lock. That way they could come and install the new “mandatory” no key latches on the units.”I Originally asked Krissy at the beginning of the month of December 2021 what the 5x10s costed in building A were going to be. She said nothing was available. I had previously walked through and saw a few. Having been here for 12 years I knew where they were. Plus the website said there was some available. I blew it off. That’s when I found out my 24hr access was revoked.Attempted to show Krissy what Andrew had texted me, and she disregarded it. I asked her to reach out to Andrew and she said my access wouldn’t be reinstated with out a 15.00 fee.I told “chris” at the de Zavala location 2 weeks ago that i was going to be moving out.I followed up with Krissy last weekend. She said he didn’t make note of it nor did he mention it to her. Awesome.I tried reaching out to Andrew several times. But he didnt answer. Or return my calls. Communication seems to be a huge issue amongst these people “in charge”.Before moving out I told Krissy that I had just a couple trash bags to throw away. She said “no problem, come get me and I’ll unlock the dumpster”During my move out. She declined me from being able to throw what I needed to throw out. Said it was for the other office tenants. Fine.Another tenant was going to take the work bench that was in my unit. She again at first didn’t care that I was going to leave it for another tenant to grab.Come move out. She refused to move me out of the system until “everything” was out of the unit.So I was stuck there until another tenant decided he was going to get my old unit and wanted that work bench.

I would like to commend Damian for his professionalism. During my two years of rental he demonstrated great customer service, positive attitude and was extremely helpful in assisting me with what I needed. He is definitely a great asset to Lock Away

Management doesnt keep their word, or call/email you back....I had a large air conditioned storage unit with ALL of my furniture for probably about 5 years or longer, at this location. The price started out reasonable, but (at least) every other year had a pretty good increase. The first time I called about why it was going up, I was told something to the tune of the cost of doing business was going up. My bill went from the very low $100s (I believe it was ~$105 in the beginning) to $195/mo when I stopped.I am in school, have no job, and have to do a lot of travel for it. Before I left SA in Sept 2020, I went in and talked to Mauricio (the manager) due to seeing a similar (same size and AC controlled) unit being advertised for $105/mo. I told him that I have at-least 5 most years of school left and that $200/mo was too expensive and I really didnt want to move to another storage company. He agreed to work with me and said that he thinks he could get my price back down to $103/mo, since I have been with them for so long and that I should call him on Wednesday (It was a Saturday). I told him that I would be moving on Wednesday, but I would make sure to call.I called and left a message. No returned call. 2 weeks later, I emailed. No returned email. 1 week later, I called again and left a message with an employee who said that she would make sure that he got my message. I never got a call back.I ended up having to liquidate my storage via an estate sale (that took 50% of the profits), just to avoid the $195/month bill. In the end, the money I will be saving on storage, I will be able to replace everything that was in there. But, it also cost me a plane ticket (+parking) home to get important documents and photos out.Super disappointed that I had to sell everything and lose so much money, because I trusted that their customer service. I should have just moved companies before I left town. I will NOT be doing business with this company again.

Outstanding customer service when I moved in and when I moved out. The storage facility is very clean, well lit, and convenient. They even have Dollys so you can move your furniture, etc. easily. I highly recommend Lockaway Storage on De Zavala Road.

They saved the day! I needed an oversized drive in storage on short notice. The first location didn’t have what I was looking for so the girl there found one at another location & reserved it for me. Everyone I have dealt with has been so nice & accomodating!

On the day I began business with Lock Away Storage I visited different places, most seem like they werent interested or care whether they rented the place or not. When I walked in to Lockaway, I was immediately greeted by Damien who took the time to explain the different options I had, gave me some tips on square footage and throughout the rental process showed he cared about his customers. My business Vida Connect Independent Solutions in San Antonio, TX. now relies on this Lock Away location for storage, but wait it doesnt end there, after I signed my lease and on my third month now we still have a person with a great personality sitting behind the desk who will wave at you as you come in. Have been a customer of Lockaway storage De Zavala location for last four years and it has been a great experience. The staff is friendly and the location is well maintained. The units are very accessible and their hours suited my needs.

Friendly office staff, clean facilities and reasonable rates. The loaner box truck is convenient when you need it. My only issue is that the website sometimes freezes up when I am making a payment.

Damien was extremely helpful. He helped get me a better rate than one of his competitors that I was planning on going to and was extremely nice and patient. Highly recommend this place.

Damien went above and beyond to be helpful when i needed a second unit in an emergency. Outdoor garage units have much higher ceilings than nearby competitors (and other lockaway storages too), and the rates were very competitive. Would definitely recommend renting here!

At first I thought the same as everyone else I thought the staff was friendly and helpful, or maybe it was that I really needed something quick and didnt shop around. I received a free truck for a promo they had going on, when i returned the truck the manager made a big deal about milage when she had myself and brothers running back and forth to the gas station to fill up a truck that was already full, she insisted the tank was past the full line when we got it but it was right on it,and she made a huge deal about it, all to add 5 extra miles that she could charge me for.When I brought in my things the manager was in the front office but quickly made her way to where my storage was located I guess to see what I was storing, I thought that was very rude, and especially tacky of her and also very unprofessional. Honestly if it wasnt for the fact that i m right next door to this businesse, Id take my business else where.

Be cautious when reserving a unit with this company. One employee with this company will promise to reserve a unit for you for a future date, and then a different employee will call to inform you that the other employee was wrong. Its just very bad business when you do that to a potential customer.

Very friendly staff and quick service. Unfortunately they are now closed on Sundays and the call center was uninformed for the initial day of implementation. However, the staff at this location were apologetic and friendly.

It a clean well run storage. They have mini office/warehouse units along with climate controlled and standard storage units in many sizes.
