I was nervous about dealing with a management company as I’m used to dealing directly with a landlord when renting. Its a little more expensive with the fees but I have had such a great experience using Liberty management! Worth every penny and it’s nice knowing you can’t get stuck with a bad landlord. Communication has been awesome and usually responds quick. The fence needed to be fixed as we were moving in and they handled all the scheduling and got it fixed within days. (Was not their fault it was damaged) Their online portal is awesome and has everything you need from paying rent, lease information, reporting repairs, etc.They do require you having your pets go through an online pet screening but don’t let that scare you off. Most places require it now and it’s simple to set up. Definitely recommend!
I’ve had a great experience with Liberty Management and all the staff Vincent, Ammari and Melanie. They are very professional, responsive, and always address concerns in a timely manner. Their attention to detail and commitment to tenant satisfaction make them an excellent property manager. Highly recommended! 👍
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Liberty Management. During my last interaction with them, I was spoken to in a condescending manner and felt gaslighted. According to the move-out statement, we were charged $320 for paint touch-ups, which included wall paint touch-ups. While I fully acknowledge the oil stains in the pantry and take responsibility for those, the charge for wall paint touch-ups should not have applied. I had specifically followed their move-out instructions, which stated not to touch up or spackle the walls. Despite providing evidence of this, they refused to remove the charge and continued to insist that I was responsible for it.Additionally, communication with Vincent was incredibly difficult throughout our lease, and my final interaction with him was very negative. I am deeply disappointed with the way this company operates and am sharing this review as a warning to current and future renters and homeowners. Be sure to clarify everything in writing and be cautious when dealing with Liberty Management.
Liberty Managment is hands down the best, Ive experienced in the last 15years of renting, Mr Patrick Casey adds a personal touch by meeting with the tenant and showing the home,Thank you sir this adds a personal touch and a better feel for the type of renter your company wants, We were impress with The AWESOME Communication from the Leasing Manager (Ammari Ortega) with the application info, and utility assistant info, also equally impressed with the quick turnaround time from the Maintenance Manager (Patty Gonzalez) on the move in repairs before and after move in . To top it off This Team made our transition into the home over the holiday weekend seamless, when most places would say they are closed. Liberty Management is a great property management company. We have been renting from them for 3 years and this is our third property since 2021. Theyre always prompt in responding to maintenance requests. We look forward to the advantage of their buyers program for owning our own home in the future.
This is the worst management company! They do not communicate, do repairs without consenting us on things in the contract that we are not required to repair that were in total above the owner repair reserve and I know that were in perfect working order as they had been repaired less than a month from us leaving the property. Then they told us the tenants had resigned the contract for a year and they hadnt! So we were unexpectedly paying the full mortgage payment! Avoid!!!

Notice so many of these good reviews are from homeowners not the renters. If youre looking to rent do not use Liberty. Constant rudeness, abusive rules that only benefit them. They like to threaten renters with non dispargment clauses they included in leases that they try to enforce with legal action, meaning renters cant talk bad about them or risk getting sued. Abusive move out fees, you will NEVER get your deposit back even if house left in better condition than when moved in. Inspections all the time and will charge you for violations with pictures that they post on the internet for anyone to see. Stay away!Reply to owner:Are you claiming you did not have a non dispargment clause in my contract? When I moved out and left a bad review your lawyer contacted me, pointed out the clause in your contract and forced me to remove it or face a lawsuit!Furthermore you charged me for some old green carpet that was obviously dated from 80s or 90s. I had filled out a move in checklist with many damages existing before i moved in noting how old and tattered it was in multiple spots... How convenient that you lost the checklist and expected me to provide a copy to prove it. Grimy! Crazy high costs involved that they pass on to renters to keep all deposit. We lived there for what?... 5 or 6 years, always paid on time and you treated us like garbage when we moved out.You did indeed take photos and post them on the internet. You came for your inspection, took pictures of everything in our house and posted them online to rent the place. You put a lockbox on our door so the realtors had access to show the house while were still living there. I had to throw a fit so youd move the lockbox off the ftont door and onto the hose bib. Wife and I work so you did multiple showings with minimal notice and couple times neither of us were able to be there to watch our belongings.This guy trying to sugarcoat his bad habits with tenants... well you burned this bridge long ago when you threatened a lawsuit over a review. I remembered and left this review now that shouldve been posted in 2016.

If I could choose 0, I would. This is a warning to future tenants. The staff is consistently rude, dismissive and unprofessional. I have been a tenant for 3 years. Payments are timely and the home is well maintained. The AC has broken 6 times- almost 2 times/year- during the hottest months of the year. During one such event, the house did not have AC for several days. They had 2 separate companies evaluate the problem and chose the one that would take the longest. I am in a home with children and it is unconscionable to allow almost a week to pass before remedying the situation. The temp in the house was >90 degrees. There was little communication, no sympathy and no effort to make amends for allowing this to happen.Bottom line: Beware as a tenant if you will be moving into a property managed by this company. Consider continuing your search elsewhere. I would never use them again as a tenant or property owner.

My overall experience has been wonderful. Ive been a tenant for about 2 years with Liberty Management and theyve helped guide me through the whole process of renting my first home in Texas. Whenever I had any issue with the home or had any questions Patty Gonzalez was right there making sure that all situations big or small were taken care of in an effective and efficient manner. 10 out of 10.
We recently finished a 12 month lease with a property managed by liberty management. Our condo was the only unit in the building managed by liberty management, the other units in the building were either independent owners or other management companies. We went the first roughly 6 months without hot water in our guest bathroom, and then when they finally selected a technician to repair the shower, they cut out a large square hole in the wall between our living room and bathroom for about 2 weeks. It was also nearly impossible to get a mail key for our condo as it was a communal mail box, and Liberty had no clue how to get the key. There are serious foundation issues in the property leading to doors not closing correctly, water main breaks, and other major structural issues. We had to beg and plead to get any kind of repair done, and they would often close out our repair requests without taking any actions to actually fix the problems. I wouldn’t trust Liberty to manage a property again after our abysmal leasing term. The only reason anything ever got done was we eventually had to threaten to withhold our lease payments until repairs were made to the unit. Vincent with Liberty management was usually pretty helpful, but when you have two broken showers and have to shower at the gym across the street, something is very wrong. We also endured a rat infestation during our leasing period, and pest control killed and removed over 30 rats from our attic. This was due to large holes on the outside of the unit that never got sealed. Liberty management was informed about the holes and failed to seal them. The lease also mentioned that the property had a pool, but failed to mention that it has been closed and will remain closed. Along with personal encounters with homeless people in the mail and bathroom area. My families health and safety was often at risk living in that condo. Beware of these issues, and make sure to take a close look at any Liberty properties to ensure they aren’t as bad as ours was. 6100 Woodlake Parkway, unit 706. I hope they fix the major issues both with the unit and the actual company.
I have had such a great experience with liberty management! They have always been really quick to reply and helped us get into a home within a week. Very open communication. Even living now in our home, putting in a maintenance request, I got our request checked the next day and completed in 2 days of putting in our request. Definitely would recommend and refer others to rent with them or see what they have to offer
Working with Liberty has been a stress free experience. Communication with their staff has been stellar. I appreciate that if I need to call them, they have a dedicated receptionist ready to help you. They are transparent with the few maintenance issues I’ve had with the home and throughout the repair process. The holiday tenant gift card is a great idea and I’m thankful they offer that personal touch to improve tenant/ management company relationships. So far nothing but good things.

Never had any issues. I paid on time for 8 years. They took care of any items that needed to be repaired. They communicated when they needed to. I had a great owner that owned the home. It was a mutual respected relationship. I felt like I did my part and they did theres. I was happy with them for the duration of my time in my rental home. I moved on to a new home. I took care of the list they gave me when I moved out to the best of my ability. Everything wasnt perfect when I left. I had been there 8 years. They gave me a reasonable amount of my deposit back. I understood the terms. End of story. Thank you for being there for me and family while we were there.
I chose Liberty Management for 2 reasons. Patrick and Patty.Patrick was amazing and very friendly. He had someone in the property almost immediately. He also gave me lots of tips to save costs with things I could do myself, and then went above and beyond to ensure the property showed well.Patty has a lot of great reviews so I specifically asked that Patty management my property. All the positive reviews are spot on. We are currently on year #2 and she has been very responsive and professional. Im not always the easiest to get ahold of but she makes sure to communicate with me on multiple platforms and consistently follows up. I would be very shocked if the tenants were unhappy with her response time and service. I am very pleased with her service.

We lived in a property managed by liberty for the last 2 years and I can attest to a lot of these other bad reviews being truthful.Watch out for them upon moving out. No matter if you use their “approved” vendors for cleaning they will find another reason to charge you.You’re told not to cover up marks on walls or fill in holes from hanging things but be assured they WILL charge you $900 for painting over those marks. Not only did we dish out $500 for they’re recommended and approved cleaners but then charged $900 for painting over wall markings, $140 for blinds, $65 for a water softener that was full when moving out. So say goodbye to your security deposit no matter how well you take care of the property.These home owners are looking for cheap property management and that is Liberty Management, we get what they pay for. Yay.They’re bogus liars and it would be in your best interest not to rent from them.
Patty Gonzalez was honestly great. We did have some issues with Liberty and, we think, the owners a few times (I wish I could review the owners, they let us live with a broken AC for over 6 months) but Patty was always there to help us, update us, always available, and always very friendly and understanding. She always responded within 24 hours, she always had someone contacted about issues within 24 hours, we never had to wait on her. She was our property manager for 3.5 years and we never had any complaints about her. If Liberty is managing your property, cross your fingers you get Patty because we loved having her as our property manager. She earned all 5 stars, while Liberty earned 4 and the owners earned 2. We were working with Patrick Casey, and I cannot recommend anyone else that is better at his job. After we found a rental listing, he was incredibly responsive about the house we were interested in. Within a matter of two hours from speaking with him for the first time on the phone, we had a rental application in all because Patrick was able to inform me of the necessary forms and documentation prior to submitting. He followed up after each step and even made sure we were informed of all the local listings that he knew could be a good fit for us. We are very happy with the staff and service that we decided to continue to rent a home with them again. I definitely recommend working with Liberty Management for a nice rental home for your family. My family was in a time crunch and needed a rental home quickly. We were able to work with our own Realtor and at first worried if that was going to be an issue. Liberty Management was nothing but professional to both my husband and I and also to our realtor. Quick application processing and good communication along the way. Key turn over process was as described and instructions were emailed before the deadline. Highly recommend that you take a look at Liberty Management.

The application process was fast and straightforward. They did everything humanly possible to ensure that we were able to move in on the date and time we requested. Rentals Information was listed in detailed with step by step information to follow. Even-though there are few things that went wrong along the way after we moved in, but like I said, they make sure we got all the repairs and solved all the problems with ran into. I have rented with Liberty for six years and in that time have moved twice. The moves were due to my childs schooling. In both moves I had no problems with getting my full deposit back. There very clear on how to check the home before you move in and how to clean the home before you leave. There staff Patty Gonzales who over seen the last house I rented was always available and took my calls every time I had questions. Patty is very helpful, kind and very people friendly but most of all really knows her job which made things very easy for me. Thank you Patty Gonzales for a great renters relationship. The maintenance, plumbing, electrical, AC and the people who came to take yearly pictures were all so kind, friendly which made it so nice when they were sent out to fix things. Patty Gonzalez has provided phenomenal service to my husband and I since we moved in. She is relatable and approachable and ensures that all service request are completed and updates with status. If you rent with Liberty Management I hope you are able to get Ms. Patty. She cares about her tenants which is a big deal these days.
My relationship with Liberty Management was promising at first as a property owner: I worked with Maria Fee and Dennise, who were both great with communicating and getting my property advertised. Over the years however, I began getting transferred to other property managers without even being told about it. My last property manager, Jesse Sandoval, was a nice person, but terrible with communication and hard to get in touch with. After my last tenant moved out, I wasnt kept in the loop at all and had a hard time getting in touch with Jesse. Ive thought about switching to the much acclaimed Patty Gonzalez, but just decided to move on. Ive been a much happier camper since doing so.

We have lived in a leased home in San Antonio TX that Liberty has managed for at least 4 years now. They have been consistent in their inspections of the property, which I know the owners really appreciate as much as we do, and have been very responsive to our request for needed repairs or appliance replacements. Our experience with their associated vendors that do the work has also been exceptional. They have been very responsive and courteous to our repair requests and have taken the time to stop by and evaluate the problems even when they have been booked up for a week or more. Ive been leasing with Liberty Management for about a year and some change and have been very pleased thus far especially with the property manager Patty. She really goes above and beyond and is the reason I am submitting a review. When it comes to resolving any of our maintenance issues, and weve had a handful already but they get assigned/scheduled within, literally minutes after the request is submitted thru the portal and i know its due to her attentiveness. I would highly recommend and refer leasing thru this management company. They even mailed us a Christmas card last year which is very thoughtful and much appreciated now a days 👍🏻👍🏻. Patty Gonzalez has been my property manager for the last year and she is great. I have been with Liberty Management for almost 10 years and I would highly recommend them. Repairs have never gone more than 1 week before being repaired. I wouldnt trust anyone else to manage my property. They also have reliable contractors and affordable management fees.
Not just the worst property management company I have ever dealt with but, by far, the worst company I have ever dealt with. Period. I give them 1-star because there is not an option for 0 stars.They lie about the lease agreement and your rights within the agreement towards early termination. They will “waive the early termination fee” and you can move out early. Which we did because we were building a house and after almost two years it was finally completed. They will not put the house on the market in a timely fashion after move out. You will have to repeatedly leave messages to ask them to do this. And when they put it on the market, they will jack the rental price up by hundreds of dollars in a bloated market. When the house never rents and your lease end date hits, they will lower the rental price to below what you were paying for it in the first place.They do not consistently respond to phone calls and messages. They circumvent communication by sporadically texting you and then you can’t respond to the original texted message after a couple days.They will not walk through the house with you upon move out but will compare pics that aren’t even the same to the move in and move out dates. In this way, they control how much of your deposit that is refunded leaving you no recourse to dispute. They tell you the only way to dispute is through email and that they will not talk to you on the phone or in person.If you move out early, they will take the keys and tell you no more access to the house while then charging you monthly for rent and then also take the landscaping fees out of your deposit when you have no access to mow the lawn or trim the bushes.They will make you pay for blinds that stopped functioning properly due to normal wear and tear and were installed 18 years prior. Again, you don’t get a walk through with them to help them understand this.If you have a stove that does not work, it will take them a full month to act upon replacement even after repeated requests to fix.They will treat you like a child by forcing themselves upon you and telling you they are showing up at a certain day and time to take photos every few months. It doesn’t matter if you work from home, aren’t there, are sick or have your kids home from school. They’re coming and you better have your house in perfect shape.They will lie, cheat and steal for every penny they can get. They cost my family over $7500 through their lies, lack of communication, refusal to act and general malaise toward treating you like anything resembling a valued customer. Stay far away from this poorly run excuse for a company.

Liberty has managed our property in the Hill Country for the past two years. It has been a very good experience. Vincent Mareno our personal property manager has been great to work with, he is professional,responsive, friendly and takes care of us, our property, and our tenants efficiently and with care. I would definitely recommend Liberty property management as your property manager.

Patty Gonzalez is my new property manager, and she responds quickly to my questions/concerns and addresses them fully. Im an anxious mess about my house, but my property manager, Dennise Acosta, is quick to respond to my concerns and patient when I pepper her with questions. There have been a couple very minor hiccups, which she promptly remedied. Ive no complaints with the company either as the fees are fair and comparable to what I was quoted elsewhere. The income/expenses are itemized for you, and all of the statements are available on the owners portal. Its been a good experience so far!

Liberty Management was my property management company in San Antonio for the last five years. I just sold my home in San Antonio and I will choose them again if I have any properties in their area of operation that need management.I was literally halfway around the world during the time they managed my property and they truly turned out to be a trusted agent through the years.I had three tenants over the course of five years and Liberty did an excellent job vetting everytime. There were zero missed or late rent payments over a five year period.Also, over the past five years the longest single stretch of vacancy was less than a month.They send very detailed annual property condition reports and they are very responsive and communicative in addressing maintenance issues identified by the tenants.Bottom line, theyre a very good company that can be trusted to professionally manage your property for the long haul.
My experience with Liberty Management was great.. We rented a home for a year & just moved out... Patty Gonzalez, the rental property manager was extremely helpful and incredibly patient with all of my questions and concerns through out the year... She answered every question I had up to the last day.. Patty was prompt and knowledgeable. She made our living a very comfortable one cuz when we had any issues with the house she was fast to react to, and the vendors that she would send out would do a quick and great job.... Thank u!!!!
DO NOT RENT... if Liberty Management is managing. I have rented houses now for 5 + years and have never had so much trouble getting things fixed or even at this point being overcharged for move out. I would wait days even more than a week to get issues fixed. Then they send out multiple Handy persons to get a job fixed to save money and not done correctly, causing mold to be affixed thru the ceiling into my kitchen. I also had to live with that mold for the last 3-4 months living there. The leasing office staff is sweet and nice but the property managers they have are not courteous or great at customer service. The year I lived there I also was never able to utilize the swimming pool or amenities with the HOA because they have not submitted a delegation of rights, the HOA manager even tried getting ahold of them with no response. Ive never had any trouble at my other rentals. Now at move out, they tried to charge me for things that were noted and then they found those took them off but came with extra upcharges for cleaning. I paid a cleaning person to clean and they posted pics of specs of a lil dust, Also a pic of the manual books of all their appliances that they left in the same order (not my trash).Ummm wheres the mold on the ceiling, the hole in the upstairs bathroom that was never fixed??? The rude customer service or delay of fixing items. Stay clear away if this management co is their leasing go to!!

Her work representing our interests was excellent through a few trying times during the marketing and sale of our house and she was superb at taking care of us and keeping us informed at all times. She stayed in constant contact with your Owner Tenant Coordinators and your Senior Property Supervisor to make sure our house received the best care during the 6 months it has been on the market. She is a consummate professional and if I am ever in need of a realtor or asked for a recommendation for one in the San Antonio area I will recommend Debbie without hesitation. She truly has done a terrific job and has been a pleasure to work with. She is a valuable asset to the Liberty Management team.

My husband and I rented a home through liberty management for 3 years. First of all I would like to say that their maintenance service is great. The most recent incident I can remember is when I submitted a maintenance request for my AC unit through the online portal. Not even an hour had passed when I received a call scheduling he technician to come out and fix my unit. Theyre good with giving you heads up for any site surveys, notices, and even detailed explanation on what to do when moving out. Lulu Vargas was our property manager and she was always extremely professional and helpful. Whenever we had questions and showed up at the office unannounced she made time for us. Not only that but she promptly responds to emails. Thank you Lulu and thank you liberty management. Would rent through them again.

Ive been a home owner in San Antonio since 2010. When military service took me overseas I had to leave my home behind and I turned to Liberty. Theyve done an excellent job since day 1. I always get my tax documents early, they do walk-throughs on regular basis, they ensure repairs and inspections happen on a schedule, and they are very responsive. Ive worked with a few different agents through the years but Vincent has done a great job when I had to change tenants; he aggressively showed my property and made sure all work was done to the house in timely manner, making sure the house didnt sit empty more than 3 weeks. Ive always been happy with Liberty and will keep doing business with them as long as they continue holding these high standards.

Weve used the services of Liberty Management for the management of our rental property since 2011, when we moved to Korea. It was the best decision we could have made! I am writing this on behalf of my father who is currently using Liberty Management for his rental property.We have roughly been using liberty for a few years. When we signed on, Maria was our leasing agent. She was absolutely wonderful; explained everything, gave us open communication, we were able to each out to her and know we would be heard and represented. This past year, we unexpectedly were given another agent, Vincent.Very sparse communication, having to go to the office to receive an answer numerous times, and now that we will not be using liberty management to lease our home, but rather list it for sale with our own personal agent, we have been ignored, told we would have a response on current tenants stand of whether they want to purchase the home, and have had no open communication.We have sent emails, phone calls, from both our agent, myself (daughter) and messages from my father stating we would like to know the tenants plans.I would recommend Liberty as a company, but not necessarily our current agent. We are on a time crunch and have expressed this to him. To which he does not return emails and phone calls from both our agent as well as us. At this point, we only have a few months left in our contract and we are trying to make plans with none set in motion because this is hindering us.
Mark and Maria Fee were truly a pleasure to work with throughout our home-buying process! They were extremely prompt at returning contact and very knowledgeable about the market and area. I only had two days to see homes in San Antonio and Mark cleared his schedule to ensure I could see everything I wanted. I ended up choosing a new build home and felt grateful to have an experienced realtors like Mark and Maria to help me arrange independent inspections and ensure our builder wasn’t cutting corners. On the blue tape walkthrough, Mark noticed flaws that were not obvious to me and even brought his own blue tape to be sure that each spot would be addressed. I wholeheartedly recommend Mark and Maria and know that if I ever purchase an investment property, I would definitely hire them again to help me choose the right property and manage it. We have been with liberty management for a couple of years, and they are better than the others we have had. They responded quickly and professionally whenever we needed. Patty Gonzalez has always been available whenever I have called, and if I leave a message, usually get a call back within an hour, even outside of normal time.

I had been intensely searching for a property to lease all month, with no success. It seemed as though I could never reach a live person to speak with after submitting numerous applications online from various property management companies. Id always come to find out that someone else had submitted their application before I did, after patiently waiting through the 3-5 day processing period. One day, I saw a property I was interested in on Liberty Managements website. I decided to call ahead of time to find out if anyone else had already applied before filling out an application. To my amazement, Elsa Delacruz answered within a few rings, & assisted with answering my questions & the application process. She booked an appointment to show me the property just a few hours after the initial call. Sadly, it turns out, that someone submitted their application literally minutes before I did, & consequently, I became the backup application for that particular property. The difference was that this information(being the backup) became available to me minutes after returning home from the showing with Elsa. Devastated, I was just about ready to throw in the towel, when Elsa sent me another property to checkout. I looked over it, became interested, & again, Elsa booked an appointment to view the property just hours after showing me the previous property. This property surpassed all others I had seen, & I am so fortunate to now call this my home! Elsas perseverance & determination was the critical key to securing this property. I am probably not the easiest person to work for, I hold people accountable. But I dont feel as if I need to micromanage this part of my life because they hold themselves accountable. I am extremely satisfied with Liberty Management. They are very thorough when it is time to prepare a house for rental, which in turn helped me to get tenants very quickly. Whenever I have a concern or question they respond within 24 hours (usually sooner). Since I currently live out-of-state I have great peace of mine knowing that my property is being managed so well.

DO NOT EVER RENT with Liberty Management. Worst mistake of my life! Denise sucks and we had to get switched over to Cynthia who in the end sucked just as bad. When we moved in with our 1 year old son, the house was infested with fleas and the heater was not connected properly and literally blowing gas into the home. My son’s bedroom was so saturated with dog urine we couldn’t let him sleep in there. I had to call them several times to get a response about this which was the first red flag. They didn’t care about the heater just said it was fixed and nothing happened (after I called a maintenance professional to fix it myself!). We had SEVERAL issues with the house and they couldn’t fix them the first time and forgot to roll the emergency lines over and then charged us for the repairs. I wrote a negative review when I lived there and then got contacted by a lawyer to remove it or I would be charged. When we had a leak in the AC, they charged us a fine and gave us a lease violation for a dirty filter. Just ridiculous! I hate liberty management and will advise anyone and everyone to stay far away!

I am posting this as a tenant dealing with Liberty Management on a rental home, I never write reviews but I am so displeased with the services that Liberty Management has provided that I feel my experience is worth sharing. The home itself had quite a few issues which happens when you rent but all in all it wasnt the home it was our property manager, Jesse. Anytime we contacted Jesse he never directly talks about the problem, this guy will talk in circles and circles to avoid the actual topic of conversation. He accused us of receiving two garage door openers when we only received one, Ive looked through all of our paperwork/lease and nothing states that we received two and of course this is going to come out of our deposit. I was never rude with him but I stood my ground firmly because we left that property in better condition than we recieved it just to lose out on something we have zero control over. The last conversation I had with him I was explaining this information to him in a very professional manner only to be interrupted by more senseless talking and then hung up on. Now as a business owner myself, customer service should be your top priority and I can see all the positive reviews that have been left by other clients of Liberty Management. With that being said I will say that this individual does not represent Liberty Management to the quality that I see is there. Other than Jessie, any other experience I had with their representatives were satisfactory but as a tenant, having Jesse as a property manager was an awful experience!

After renting 5 homes in the past 10 years, Liberty and Dennise Acosta have been by far the greatest company and property management to deal with. They are quick to fix issues as they arose while living in their property. Because of this when I decided my family and I needed a bigger house in a different location I called them first and once again found the perfect house for my family and I. Vincent Moreno has been great! I have had to do very little, he handles everything. He knows how much to ask for rent and how to market the property, and I never had to wait long to fill a house with renters at a reasonable rate. Highly recommended!
Be very wary renting from this management company. I moved in to an old home (about 30 years old) with several repairs needed, and I was very careful to send in maintenance requests. At first, repairs were handled in a timely manner, but I lived there 4 years and the last two years things changed. Some issues with the house the company did not address, like a broken fence that I requested repairs to since my dog was escaping. They never fixed it. Also, the bathtub above the kitchen was leaking through the ceiling onto my kitchen counter. It took 3 maintenance requests for it to get fixed properly, and when it was a hole was cut in the kitchen ceiling that stayed open for two months until we moved. Liberty Management never sent another repairman out to fix it.The worst thing was that my family and I spent several long hard days cleaning our house from top to bottom and after we moved out we got a notice (30 days later) that not only had our deposit been used up, we owed an additional $600. There were things we expected to get charged for, since the house was old, but some charges were ridiculous. For instance, they charged us $5.00 to clean a light switch in the garage. $12 for each A/C filter which I had replaced personally myself right before we moved out. If I had known they would take such an approach to assessing our deposit I would have taken pictures and documented our whole move out process so I could have fought back against the bogus charges. But I made the mistake of trusting them. Not only did they figure out a way to use up my complete deposit plus pet deposit, they added other charges to it.By the time we got the invoice we had been moved out a month already. I fully intended to pay the charges, but did not have the money available immediately. Liberty Management sent our account to collections after 30 days with no warning. I have never heard of an account being sent to collections so quickly or without the creditor making an attempt to work with the customer.These people are sharks. Do not be fooled by the lower rent on the homes they manage. They will find a way to get that money in the end. The worst part about the whole thing was I felt I had a good relationship with the management company because I paid my rent on time every month and I was careful to report any maintenance issues. They were always friendly with me....until I turned in my 30 day notice. Then I was treated like scum and in spite of all my efforts to be a responsible renter I was taken advantage of.Find another management company. Save yourself some money and trouble.

Vincent was absolutely amazing as our property manager. I believe the things not being done were do to a bad landlord. Whom we sadly had to deal with after Liberty no longer was managing the property. It’s funny that Mr. devadoss would post a review saying he had to give us our deposit back despite the house being in such awful condition. I would like to add we had 2 home inspections done after we signed our lease. Mr. d also made a complaint about oil stains in the driveway. To which we paid out of pocket to fix. When we moved in it was covered in mold and black. Sadly that was not a concern of his. He then tried to take our deposit for, the deck not being properly treated , stating a hole in the deck which was their upon move in, as well as the railing being loose. He also tried to charge again for the driveway. When we then did not park the work truck in the driveway. He harassed us about turning in the key the day before we were suppose to turn it over and continued to do so. Even tho technically we had until 11:59 pm may 20. He also harassed us about the key after we dropped it off. Then demanded we give him our mail key, which is super weird. We also paid over $200 dollars for a carpet cleaning. He also charged a monthly pet rent and $350 pet deposit in which he keeps. So I highly doubt he had to pay out of pocket for anything. And if he continues to bad mouth this company or us as tenants I will get a lawyer involved. I had to scrub that house when we moved In. I also have pictures of that. He did not keep the water or electric on but demanded that we do. When we moved In the AC did not even work. He also tried to not include photographs that were from move in with all of his poor work done. Like drawers being glued together and getting mad because it fell apart. So please do not take either of those reviews from him seriously. I have dealt with bad property management companies and Liberty is not that. The entire staff was always helpful and responsive. This landlord also said he did not want us as tenants anymore, had us served with papers to vacate, then changed his mind, and raised the rent over $500 which was excessive. To which he demanded we responded, after we had already been told to vacate. He does not know the laws and his house is not even up to rental code. So I would avoid.We are both business owners and are so disheartened how he treated us. He seems to have a bias.

Grant was the best agent we could have ever asked for while look for our new home. My wife and I have never tried looking for a house before always lived in apartments. Mr. Bowman took his time in showing several house even changing plans on him mid stream didnt upset or frustrate him. Our experience with both Grant and liberty managment have been awesome.
Liberty Management has worked with us since the beginning when we were moving back from overseas. After picking up our keys, which were accidentally the wrong ones, Vincent Moreno brought them out to us personally that same evening. He has been quick to respond and work with us for any work orders that have had to be placed.
Terrible management company. No sense of urgency, allowed us to move into a unliveable house with at the time a newborn baby. Mold, AC problems, roof leaks, etc. Takes 2 weeks to about a month and half to resolve any maintenance. Most of the time cant even get ahold of any body except maintenance department. Only time they want to email or talk to you is right before rent is due. Our lawyers even said liberty has bad reviews all over. Dont trust.
Patty is always so responsive and great to work with. Ever since my account has transitioned to her, I have had no issues. She is very communicative and helpful whenever I have a maintenance issue. Every vendor that is sent is easy to work with and quick to respond.

So we moved from Hawaii and we would of like to have a better welcoming in person and a physical walk through of the rental house property to make sure we knew and how everything works... plus if we had any questions it would be answered right on the spot. When we first walked into the home, there was a strong wet dog odor that made our stomachs and nose cringe. We had contacted liberty about the smell and after a few back and forth they finally agreed along with the property owners that the carpets be professionally cleaned. Later we found out that the carpets was professionally cleaned 3 times already and this was going to be the 4th. We had asked before if the smell dont go away what is the next step.. immediately we were told that the owners will not replaced the carpets. So knowing that, we felt that the only solution is in hopes that being professionally cleaned again would do the job. Well it didnt and the carpet guy who cleaned it already knew that it wasnt going to go away. His recommendation is to get it replaced if it continues. So we are living with a oder that we have to try to mask and spray almost every other day. As for all the other minor issues on the house ... the management team was quick to get it resolved. The only main issue we have is the smell from the carpets which the tenants prior to us had two big boxers.
I had two problems at my home. One was a clogged dryer vent and the other was a problem with our gate due to the ground settling after the winter storm. Patty Gonzales was able to find contractors to come out right away to repair the problems. She is always friendly and helpful.

Mark Fee was GREAT helping us with the process and getting our home rented out quickly. We are a military couple and this was our first time working with a management company/renting out a home. The photos and video tour Mark generates are excellent tools to help get a property advertised. Our home had a renter secured in about a week. It was a huge relief having that settled before we even moved out. He was really patient and informative, so we understood each step in the process. Highly recommend Liberty Mgmt.

Mark Fee took us from start to finish, with expert help from Linda Luna, to include: assisting the transition for the previous tenants, inspecting the property (really cool the way they delivered an Excel spreadsheet with all their findings plus a 27 minute YouTube video showing the items), finding and vetting the new tenants and closing the deal. The team approach insured the process occurred in a timely manner. We are very pleased with the outcome.
I first met Kevin Knight of Liberty Management in 2006. At that time he was President of the San Antonio chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM). Since then Ive come to know him as a kind, helpful man with a penchant for technology and organization. Never have I seen a company as dedicated to innovation as Liberty Management. Kevin is constantly looking for new ways to make his business more efficient. Ive been to his office a few times and have seen his systems. Day to day operations are completely controlled and monitored centrally so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. If I ever decide to stop managing my personal rental property Liberty Management would be a company I would seriously consider to take over.

John Garcia has managed my properties for several years. During all that time he has always been extremely professional, kind and patient beyond words. It can sometimes be difficult having properties in another state . Finding someone with an impeccable work ethic that you can trust isnt always easy. John is that person. It has been a pleasant experience working with the property manager, Linda Luna. She has been a key player in helping me start and complete all work orders submitted to my company. In this business, there are always changes when arriving at tenants properties and new things pop up unexpectedly needing immediate attention. Ms. Luna always responds to immediate needs by answering and returning calls 7 days a week. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. She has definitely helped me get jobs completed within allotted deadlines.
As a property manager, and being aware of Liberty Managements professional reputation, I was interested in visiting their offices. Kevin and his professional team were very gracious to share their experience, and allow me to observe the practices and procedures they have in place. It was easy to see how and why Liberty Management has earned the respect and trust of the investors they represent, as well as the tenants they work with. Jennifer Bowman has done an amazing job in assessing properties that meet all of our criteria. Not only is she working with us to find our retirement home, shes also helping to find a house for my aging parents who are relocating to San Antonio from Florida. Ive seen a lot of negative reviews for Liberty Management, so I wanted to share my recent, very positive experience. I received word on April 24th that the air conditioner in my rental property was not cooling the house. My manager, Patty Gonzalez, had immediately contacted my home warranty company to have a technician come out and diagnose the problem. Patty was just great, keeping the lines of communication going between me, Liberty, the warranty company, the A/C service company, and the tenant. The faulty unit was replaced on May 1st -- within a weeks time.Let me also say that I had a rental property managed by a different company in another state, so Im familiar with bad property management. A repairman who fudges receipts and cant ever seem to fix anything, an accounting department that accidentally charges extra fees, and a receptionist who always sounds angry on the phone. They made me appreciate Liberty all the more, and how Ive never had to worry about how my house is being run while Im out of state. Thanks Patty, and thanks Liberty!
Due to a business change, we needed to relocate to SA quickly. Jennifer Bowman helped us find the perfect rental home for our picky family. She is extremely professional, and clearly loves what she does. When our out-of-state home sells and our lease is up, there is only one realtor well be calling - Jennifer Bowman! I highly recommend her.
I have a positive experience with Liberty Management. Our contact, Dennise Acosta, has been very helpful and responsive with our inquiries and in coordinating rental matters with tenants. My emails and phone calls to the property management office are answered promptly and politely.
I don’t normally write reviews but this is one that needed to be written. My family and I moved to San Antonio about a year ago and rented a house that was being managed by Liberty Management. The property manager was Vincent Moreno. Needless to say, the lack of communication was extremely frustrating and while non of the maintenance wasn’t super emergent, the fact that it took several days to a week to hear back at all was what ultimately led us to decide to purchase a home and move out. We were desperate to get our and our realtor tried to talk to Vincent. It took several days of her calling and emailing him with no answer to ask about the procedures of getting out of our lease agreement early. He never picked up until she pretended to be someone else to talk to him about a sale. He told us the procedures which included an early termination fee equal to a month of rent, as well as payment of rent and utilities for the months the property remained vacant essentially making us responsible for finding new tenants. We decided to just stay but to move our things to our new place slowly since regardless we’d have to pay rent only not breaking our lease would mean not having to pay an early termination fee. After all this, the owners decided to switch rental/property management companies and thank heavens the did. We actually met the owners and they asked us our opinion of Liberty Management and Vincent. We told him communication was bad as well as all the issues we’d reported about the house. We also told them we had been fully out of the house for about 2 months. Turns out Vincent never communicated to them any of the reported issues we’d emailed to him and they didn’t know we had been fully out of the house. In other words, had they known, they would have let us out of the lease early because they wanted to have some more time to work on the house and us moving our earlier would have allowed them to list the house at the best time of year for the housing market. This was actually something our realtor mentioned to Vincent hoping they would be lenient about breaking the lease early but it didn’t matter. All in all, communication was terrible and in turn screwed us over because instead of being able to save up those couple of months before having to pay our mortgage, we were paying rent and mortgage. The owners would have let us out of our lease if they had know but again, there was complete lack of communication of Vincent’s part.My Response:For some reason I cant see to respond to Libertys response to my review but here it is.In reference to the painters being there to fix up a terrible paint job from the owners painters, I find that hard to believe because I watched your painter paint, it was terrible. There was paint under the baseboard on the upstairs half wall in the same area he was painting and I showed that to the owner.We accepted the conditions of us wanting to break the lease which obviously is why we chose to just finish out the lease rather than fight it and pay that extra fee but again we were under the impression he had talked to the owners about us wanting to move out. We spoke to them and they werent aware that we wanted to completely move out two months earlier prior to the close of our lease. Had they known they were more than happy to prorate our rent.When we spoke to the owners and told them our experience and the things that happened in the house, they were unaware of some of the issues. The only things they had any recollection of was when we requested pest control for carpenter ants. Unless you are saying they lied to us about everything?As for being unaware of our unhappiness with the company and Vincent, It was more towards the end when we heard that nothing was fully communicated especially since it could have benefited us financially and the owners so that they could have had more time to work on the house. Yes we were frustrated throughout but it wasnt til we met the owners and found out things from them and the new rental/property company that led me to write this review.
