Peerless Appraisals

Extremely disappointed… This appraisal company has held up my closing for nearly 2 weeks now because they are impossible to get ahold of... Whitney gave me a card with her “info” but it’s been 2 weeks, i’ve called, emailed, texted and left a voicemail… email and text kick back saying they’re not in service. Appraisal companies like this make purchasing a house such a nightmare.

We got our house appraised by this group back in 2022 and I still think about how undervalued they appraised our house at when we bought it. They left out over 3 relevant comps in the area. Our taxes for that year were 15K over what they evaluated it at, and then the following year it was a 40K difference. Typically the bank you buy your loan through picks the appraisal group so your hands might be tied, but I still wanted to share our experience. Our loan was purchased through BNC Bank at the time.
