I booked a free consultation regarding foundation issues in our home, and the experience was excellent. Mr. Grubbs provided great advice and gave me clear homework to complete in the meantime. The office was very professional and prompt in scheduling my consultation, making the process seamless.I felt that Mr. Grubbs was sincere and thoughtful in addressing our situation, presenting a solid plan of action to move forward after the retainer fee is paid. Update as of February 14, 2025. We are filing a State Bar of Texas Ethics Grievance against Attorney E. Grubbs for a number of alleged violations of the Texas Disciplinary Code of Professional Conduct by Attorney Grubbs over a two year time period.Please count the number of negative reviews Attorney Ken Grubbs has amassed since FY 2016. In our opinion, his negative reviews are alarming. Check out the AVVO Attorney Review website that delineates additional negative reviews. Negative reviews cumulative over a decade. AVVO is a consumer review website for Attorneys in the San Antonio, Texas region.Attorney Ken Grubbs asserts we did not pay our legal services bill. First, he failed to submit a current invoice for over 28 months after we retained him. We repeatedly asked for an update. No luck. Second, as noted by other similar situated former client(s), Attorney Grubbs tried to double bill us. We have gathered all of our payment receipts for our forthcoming State Bar of Texas Ethics Grievance against Esquire Grubbs whom we alleged Flubbed our case by his repeated alleged lack of follow-up. We promptly fired Attorney Grubbs when he refused to discuss his erroneous invoice at his Forum Bldg. Suite 740, San Antonio, Texas. We directed he withdraw from our case upon his termination. We informed the Court of his termination for alleged malpractice. He failed to set a court trial docket date but billed us for the service. He failed to timely file our lawsuit and had to re- accomplish his poorly drafted pleadings. He has an alleged high turnover of staff ( read his reviews on the IndeedPlacement Services website. Indeed we believe he has issues.); and, he has garnered a litany of multiple complaints by other former clients on Yelp, AVVO, Better Business Bureau, and Goggle website Review Services. Attorney Grubbs has alleged multiple complaints from former clients. We are informing the State Bar of Texas of his threats to sue us if we file a State Bar of Texas Ethics Grievance. We believe that threat is not in consonance with the Texas State Bar policy. He sigged his daughter on us. She is employed as an Associate Attorney in his office.While Attorney Grubbs is considered innocent at this juncture, of any violations of the Texas Disciplinary Rules, please consider reviewing Attorney Grubbs former Clients alleged negative reviews on Avvo.com; Yelp.com; and here. Attorney Grubbs often has a terse alleged fabricated response showing alleged disdain for his former clients.Again, based on Attorney Grubbs alleged sloppy record keeping, Attorney Grubbs tried to double bill us for legal fees we previously paid. This appears to be an alleged pattern and practice. Then he refused to meet with us to discuss discrepancies in his only invoice he provided after 28 months since we first hired Attorney Kenneth Ernest Grubbs.This information, along with receipts proving invoice payment, will be part of our Texas State Bar Ethics Grievance against Attorney Kenneth E. Grubbs.Consumers be diligent.

I have been working with Kenneth Grubbs for the past several years to fix a mess associated with my divorce and property dispute. The legal system is a lengthy one unfortunately but he is taking care of it and in the correct manner! I am very thankful he is my real estate lawyer and getting things done to reveal the truth of this dispute!!

If there were negative stars, that’s what I would give this company. Absolutely terrible. No communication, no follow through, no integrity and then had the nerve to tell me I would need to pay another 5k to speak to him??? When he never called me back to update me like I was told?? DO NOT PAY THIS MAN OR THIS LAW FIRM ANY MONEY FOR ANY SERVICES!

He will always do his due diligence in any case he represents to insure you are protected and represented in the highest manner possible in the courtrooms. He will fight for you. This is the most unprofessional group in San Antonio. What a disgrace of representation. Maybe their attorneys are decent, but good luck getting past whoever is answering the phone. There was no way to become a client with the lack of courtesy provided by their receptionist on the phone. Interesting that the receptionist has to make a claim that it is a client problem instead of accepting responsibility for not keeping a schedule for professional attorneys. Instead of accepting responsibility for their actions, they prefer to lash out and make false claims about others to hide their lack of respect. You can feel the hostility in their uncaring and uneducated response to my review. Not a care in the world for anyone other than themselves.

WIthout a doubt one of the best law firms I have dealt with to date. Mr. Grubbs and his team handled my case(s) with the utmost professionalism. Ken exceeded my expectations with his experience both in and out of court. Communication was top notch and I was informed with haste in regards to any new updates my case(s). Highly reccomended!

I am not exaggerating when I say that I had consulted with over 10 lawyers and they all told me that I had no options, that I was stuck with my current situation. My situation was one that created an undue financial responsibility and the amount was just getting larger and larger so you can imagine the enormous stress it caused on the family. Mr. Grubbs was going to be my last option-if he told me the same as all the other 10+ lawyers, I was just going to hold on tight until I had to resolve my situation-which someone else was getting me into.Mr. Grubbs, was able to not only fix my situation, he even offered 2 different ways we could do this! When the opposing attorneys tried to intimidate me, Mr. Grubbs fired off some emails to them and I never heard from them again.I cannot tell you how appreciative my family and I are of Mr. Grubbs for helping us get peace of mind. Im sorry, thought it was supposed to be a free consultation. Only said what we already knew; that we had to get someone by to check out how serious the damage is or could be in our new home. Then to pay $750. out of pocket, call a person referred for $1700. then another referral for God knows how much. ( Hasnt called me back yet) There should be something in place or someone you can talk to/go to to get help from being victimized by builders/contractors that take advantage of first time home buyers and hold them accountable for their actions or lack of. These people are allowed to do subpar to shady work and get away with it. Youve just bought a house that you havent been in a year yet; where does the money come from to pay a lawyer to get builders/contractors to do what they should have done right the first time. I feel like everyone is just out for the money and not about helping people anymore or even doing the right thing!

I hired Mr. Grubbs for an HOA dispute, and I was very happy with the outcome. He is straightforward and has reasonable fees. He got the case resolved in very little time. I would recommend him to anyone, especially for HOA related cases.
