Arcadia Ridge by Meritage Homes

I cannot speak to the quality of these homes BUT I can speak to the quality of life living next to this builder. They have no courtesy and start construction as early as 6AM on a SATURDAY morning. Unbelievable. Bright lights, honking and loud bangs - do yourself a favor and don’t buy a Meritage home.UPDATE- this same week they are now at it at 3am. This builder has no decency. If they could be quiet that’s one thing, but there is constant honking and loud machinery. Imagine being the house next door.

Solid builder to work with. They keep their homes clean and safe for everyone. The sales counselors are very friendly. I love working with Cynthia Nash. She knows her products and will work with you and your buyer to get the best deal. I love Meritage homes for its efficiency and look. They offer different floor plans. Caveat though each community may offer different plans so do your research. Your realtor can help guide you.

My experience with Meritage Homes has been nothing less than frustrating. I closed on my home in may 2022. The biggest pain points of my experience has been post closing. The lack of communication with the construction manager, the warranty coordinator, and warranty customer service has been horrible. No one responds or answers. When completing our final walkthrough we were told the list of incomplete items would be done that following week after we closed. It is now a month later and nothing has been fixed our garage has fallen off the track it is no longer functioning as it should be. The garage was never painted due to panels being dented during the home building process. Our master shower door glass was installed incorrectly- the glass company actually came out and just added a whole bunch of silicone instead of fixing the issue the individual shared with us that multiple work request were being completed in this community due to the same issue we now how different color finishes in the bathroom. The list goes on I’ve only shared a few examples of what we are dealing with. If you are looking to purchase a home with meritage be prepared for what you may have to deal with.

We built a Mertiage home in Arcadia Ridge in San Antonio and we still have open warranty claims from almost 2 years ago. We can’t even do laundry without our lights strobing the whole time. Our A/c has went out 4 times in 2 years also. And that just some of it. Do not buy from them. We keep getting the run around and no one answers.

The sales agent, Robert, is one of the most professional and considerate sales agents we’ve interacted with during our house hunting process. He really takes the time to understand your needs and will try to get you the best deal possible. The homes and the neighborhood are beautiful!

Do not buy a home from Meritage. Their homes are poorly built and they refuse to make any repairs even after admitting it was installed incorrectly. A lot of residents in the Harlach Farms neighborhood have having issues with their homes and Meritage refuses to make it right.

Looks clean and nice. Even the construction areas look well kept up with.
