Very nice hotel, good location. We were there for 5 nights and slept very well. We had an issue with our reservation and Stephanie, at the front desk, was a superstar! She helped us with some other minor issues and always had a big smile and radiated positivity. Stephanies customer service is outstanding!

What an AMAZING team! From J in Valet, Stephanie at check in and Asia and Violet at the concierge desk, we were blown away at the knowledge and kindness we received. We truly felt like family!!!! Weve visited many of the properties and hands down this will be our favorite! The 2 bedroom 2 bath we had was beautiful! The property was amazing and we were close enough to everything we could walk! We cant wait to return and see our new Wyndham family!! Thank you all so much for making our 9th Wedding Anniversary a blessed time!!The Bakers

We Stayed at La Cascada at the end of January. At arrival, we were told that parking would be $25 a day with include day of arrival and departure for a total of $150 for 5 days.We mentioned that we were planning to go to Big Bend National Park therefore we were leaving town for about 36 hours .They still wanted $150. What a ripoff! We ended up paying $12 x 4 at the public parking down the street. Then they said they would wave the parking if we attend a presentation. They Then charge us $111 for housekeeping which we are not normally charge as Wyndham owners even if we booked thru RCI.Then again they would wave it if we accepted to attend the presentation. We had a busy schedule and had no time, no wishes to attend a presentation which have became more annoying over the last 16 years of ownership. We have no intention of returning to La Cascada which house a training Center for Talent Transformation. We feel that we were punished financially for refusing to attend!

I went for Time share presentation. The workers were nice for certain. But they want $95,000 for 300,000 travel points. After each time I declined, they offered discounts. The last offer was $4,000 for 400,000 points. Seriously. The gave me 2 $20 off vouchers for use a specific expensive restaurant s downtown San antonio. They offered a free cruise that you have to pay $150. Upfront to register and $150 per person as part of your travel before fees. Of and a free hotel stay with them that you have to pay for. It was a waste

I really liked this Club Wyndham. Bianca and Ominique at the concierge were super helpful in getting activity tickets. The roof top deck with pool and grills was very modern, but you have to wear sunblock up there. The daily activities were every day, but the activities they had planned were fun. The room furniture was somewhat worn, but I understand that the hotel is undergoing refurbishment soon. They have a vending machine and nitro coffee, but they also have free coffee/tea in the lobby every morning. My only complaint is that there are only two elevators, and it sometimes took up to 15 minutes for one to stop on our floor. Its two blocks off 6th St, so its relatively quiet (no loud music venues very close). The location makes it somewhat away from the tourist attractions on 6th Street or Congress, but it is walking distance (including steep inclines).

We didnt stay there as Club Wyndham didnt book us there even though we are Club owners. First they sent us to Gunter Hotel but it was being renovated but we werent told. Then, when we got there to Gunter and found out, there was no way to check in, and we called to what happened with our room. They said we were switched us to LA Quinta at another area, so we had to Uber again to it. Very disappointed 😞Nothing to do with CW La Casada just Club Wyndham failed to accommodate us where we had a meeting the next day at La Casada....weak!Reply to LA Casada on how to improve:I wouldnt know as I never was booked there to stay, though I am a Club Wyndham member and was to have a meeting there with Club Wyndham. If a Club Wyndham member is booked to have a meeting with Club Wyndham, I suggest that they are booked at the hotel where they are scheduled for meeting instead of several blocks away. which, to me, is extremely frustrating and disrespectful. Not that my stay was paid by Club Wyndham so why booked somewhere else to inconvenient the Club Wyndham member 🤔 Extremely disappointed to say the least!

I personally reserve making a 5💫 showing on most any review simply because I am difficult to impress.... with that said, my ratings for stay-cations are usually poor because of location, activities, and eateries.Well, I must admit that a 2 day stay didnt allow much with outdoor experience, which actually drives this review. In short, after traveling to several Club Wyndham resorts since 2018, Ive had good and bad experiences with customer service, but this location in San Antonio, Texas, has, per my experiences, the greatest customer service PROFESSIONALS Ive ever seen displayed off movie screen. And heres the kicker... they all behave as though they really Love being at work Working!! This group of CS providers cant wait to assist you!!! And Im talking about all shifts, including valet services. They even refer you to each other depending on your needs or questions on local places and todos...This is a must stay if ever youre in town!!!

This was my first time visiting this location, and unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience. From the moment I arrived, things were off. I was greeted by an employee wearing sunglasses, who didn’t even offer a simple “Good afternoon” or ask how I was. The sunglasses made it impossible to read his expression, which came across as unwelcoming.Once I got past the initial check-in, things briefly improved. The lady at the front desk was very nice, but the rest of my stay was disappointing. I had a neighbor who was vaping in the hallway, which was incredibly frustrating. I had to call the front desk to complain, but the issue persisted.Additionally, I requested towels twice on two different days and never received them. To top it off, the rude employee continued to be unpleasant during my stay, particularly when dealing with valet parking. On the positive side, the location is excellent if you’re looking to explore downtown, and the rooms are quite nice. We stayed in a presidential suite, which was very comfortable. However, between the unprofessional staff and the inconsiderate guests, I was left unimpressed and cannot recommend this place.

Overall the room was fine. The furniture was worn and could use replacing. We were disappointed that the hot tub was broken. The kitchen had everything we needed for basic cooking. The hotel location is fabulous. It is truly on the river walk. Pretty much anything you want to do is walkable for those who are able. Be sure to enjoy the river walk both day and night. We found the staff to be awesome. They were friendly and very responsive to any request. The hotel has activities daily that are quite nice as well. Pay attention as who doesnt appreciate a free cocktail or snack? All in all, a great place to stay in a great city.

Room and area was nice. Service was horrible. We left behind a very expensive lamb skin woman’s jacket. I called them when at airport 30 min after I left room. They would not send someone to our room to retrieve jacket. Instead they said we had to report on their website and wait for maid service to go into room. I asked for a managers name but was denied and told that a manager would call me. Three hours later no call yet. Was thinking about joining club Wyndham membership. If this is the service I should expect that would be a big no. I will be sure to tell everyone I know about this horrible experience and more than likely having to buy my wife another very expensive jacket to replace the one that was lost. Reps that I talked to on the phone showed no concern or humility. All this could have been avoided if someone would have just went to the room to retrieve jacket which would have taken 5 minutes. Extremely disappointing and disturbing the way they treat their guest.UPDATE: talked to Rose at front desk. No help at all. Said house keeping is gone for the day and won’t be in till tomorrow. No jacket was reported. These guys stole our jacket!! This could of been avoided if they would of took the time earlier and went to the room when we called. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and calling corporate. FYI no one has called us once. We have had to call them.Final update. So management never called us back. We finally called back 36 hours later to be told maid service did not find it. We are 100% absolutely sure we left it draped over kitchen chair. If front desk would of taken 5 min out of their day to go retrieve jacket from room when we called which was 30 min after we checked out this would not of happened. Our expensive leather jacket was stolen and all we will get is the robotic generic response to this complaint that they give all of them. Stay away from these guys. I will continue to complain on every social platform I can think of.FYI one year later and never heard back from these clowns. Thiefs.

I’ll start with the good… Location. Very close to downtown and river walk (walking distance) and there is a grocery store 5 min away. An area shuttle and they have valet. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious. However there were a few things I didn’t like. My wife knows a timeshare owner and we were gifted a weekend stay. The staff insisted we go on a timeshare. We were there just over 2 hours and had to say no a 1000 times. I also didn’t like the fact that there were no dining options or bar on site. The only parking is valet and although prompt, the wait times can be a little long. There’s more but overall it was an ok stay. I will not stay here again because I won’t be purchasing a timeshare and I also prefer a resort with more resort amenities.

Terrible Experience!!Stay Away!!Does not deserve even one star!My husband and I flew to San Antonio for our Anniversary and we paid for a vacation package via Jet blue Vacations 2 months prior. When we had arrived to check in we were told by Miguel at the front desk that they gave our room away and we were rerouted to another hotel. He did nothing to to help us! Club Wyndham made no effort to contact me prior to our arrival, they waited until I paid for a cab and was standing in their lobby to then be dismissed. Miguel gave me a number to call and after 40 min they said they couldn’t help us and Club Wyndham gave our room away the same day we were traveling. We then called Jet Blue and it took an additional 2 hours to be placed in a hotel!I will never stay at any Wyndham! What kind of company would do this!!!I should have read all of the negative reviews, Im not the 1st person to have this experience.

I really thought this hotel was great. Its downtown but not exactly in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. Its a couple of blocks off the main drag with about a 10-15 minute walk to the river center mall. You can take the riverwalk right out of the hotel or you can cross a couple of parking lots and a couple of streets and youre back where all the action is. I felt topside was faster but if you wanna sight see and stroll, the river walk is probably better. Rooms were set up as all inclusive. From washer & dryer to dishes and cutlery. We didnt lack a thing. Pool & BBQ area was gorgeous with a great view of downtown and the river. Staff was super friendly and the resort made it a point to host daily guest events. I felt right at home and will definitely be back.

I wanted to share our experience from first entering the doors at La Cascada Cinco de miyo weekend, we arrived at 3 pm, prior to calling to confirm our room with a front desk rep named George confirming our room April 11th our room was booked and paid in advance a month earlier. He confirmed my one bedroom for three days we had planned because we fly in out of state. I was greeted in a way I never thought, I was disrespected by the manager after Jessie the rep at the desk said my room was over sold, I asked for the Manager of the timeshare her name is Linasia- I asked again about our room we just landed off our plane to visit our daughter she said it’s over booked we have your room away to VIP, and I said how is that she disrespectfully said mam this isn’t a hotel, knowing very well I’ve sat for timeshare meetings in Las Vegas stayed at Big bear timeshare and Las Vegas desert twice, and others around California, she was definitely disqualifying me as if I was not educated on the timeshare instead of sincerely apologizing to us for giving are paid room, I will be following up with the general manager. Beware of this time share selling your rooms off even if you call to confirm seriously disappointing.

We actually stayed at the Riverside suites. The main reason for the 1 star is for Michael, so called Manager over sales attitude. We were brought over to Cascadas for an Owner Education. On our way out, as we were walking away, Michael decided it was necessary to give us attitude and be rude. He was very determined to give us a piece of his mind. Keep in mind never cross paths with him before, he could of just be a decent human being and let us go on our way.

We were gifted this stay by our friends who are owners, and the facility itself was fantastic, right on the riverwalk (on the backside of the building) and the place was very spacious. However, on check-in we were whisked over to the sales desk to get our Free gifts. We were told that we would be in and out of a timeshare presentation in maybe 30-35 minutes, even though she wasnt supposed to tell us that. Unfortunately, we agreed.Really, we know better. Weve done this thing before and have always regretted it. We were told it would be a conversation, and they knew we didnt plan to buy anything.Every cheesey sales tactic in the book was used, from shutting us off site (not necessary) to weird awkward small talk from the sales gal, and low pressure ridiculous questions and answers that went on and on and on - it took everything I had to not yell NO!!! And walk out. After a two hour ordeal, we left feeling angry, accosted, and swearing NEVER AGAIN for the free gifts this time for REAL. It honestly ruined our day.The Valet guys were very nice and friendly. The desk staff didnt seem to care if we came or went.I would definitely recommend this place if youre already an owner or booked it through a 3rd party. But otherwise, JUST SAY NO to the free gifts unless youre okay with being mis-lead and pressured.

We are Wyndham owners and we use to love this resort. Unfortunately our last stay wasn’t what we are use to here. We stayed in a 2 bedroom presidential and the view was great. The space was also great. The room was not thoroughly cleaned as we would have expected; stuff on the walls in the bathrooms and kitchen, baseboards dirty with hair and dust, the shower in the master did not turn on at all, both bathrooms were missing the towel bars, and the upstairs neighbors made noise all night until 3am our last night ( we did complain). It appears the suite was renovated but very poorly done. We have a reservation for a four bedroom presidential in January for our birthdays hopefully that will be a better experience. We were a little disappointed in this stay but overall it was okay. The view was perfect from our room, the restaurants and shops were really nice. It’s very quiet right now on the streets but we loved that part. The river walk was peaceful, no boat rides but they do have carriage rides going on right now. On another bright note the sales people respected our no and were not pushy about going to the meeting. Thanks for that. The staff is also very nice, don’t forget to bring your mask. Start off by knowing this is a timeshare. We are Wyndham owners and have been time share owners for over 20 years. You can always say no to the owner update (if you are an owner) or to the sales presentation if you are new. They will pressure you into going, and depending on the situation you may be required to go, but just be firm if you are not interested in purchasing. I went to the owner update to get the valet parking for free and it was not high pressure, unlike some other ones I have been to. The staff was cordial and respectful of my families time. Now the resort/hotel/condo itself is what I rated here as 5 stars. I give the location a 4 because it could be closer to the main riverwalk area and it would be way more convenient for walking in the hot summers. As it is there is a free shuttle service provided, but it stops at 5 pm so you cant use it after going to dinner or to the bars. While we were there a dinner/night time uber from the riverwalk was about $7.50 and scooters would be about the same. There is valet parking with unlimited in-out privileges, but driving to the riverwalk to then pay $10-$25 to park a little closer is a waste. The part of the river it is on and the grounds are beautiful though, just not quite as convenient as it would be if it was 1 or 2 blocks farther north on the river. The accommodations were just above average for a Wyndham. We had a 2 bedroom presidential which had a king bed master suite, a double queen room, a second full bathroom, living room with pullout couch, and a nice kitchen and dining area. The presidential distinction means we got a balcony with a river and downtown view and possibly a slightly larger living area. We had no complaints with the room, but it is also not as new as some other Wyndhams. Not old either so it works great. The staff (not counting the sales/owner update) was always super friendly and they had special refreshments or food available almost every day we were there. We visited the other Wyndham timeshare that is right on the riverwalk and it smelled terrible outside the front door and the staff ignored us and even gave us some strange looks while we waited for the shuttle. The La Cascada staff was not like that at all. They always smiled, said hi, answered questions, and overall were great.

**DO NOT BUY INTO THE POINTS THEY ARE SELLING!***This rating is more for the entire points program and the lies that were told to us in San Antonio that got us to agree to buying points. This time last year, we upgraded from discovery to owners, and it has been nothing but hassles and lies since. We tried to book rooms at this location with the remainder of our discovery points, got the runaround, lost the room, and ended up staying at the resort on the Riverwalk after a month of gettingthe runaround. Dont waste your time with that location. We were told we would automatically get a free room upgrade for the first year, so we booked a trip to DC. We got there, and we were denied the room upgrade. We were told by the salesman it was automatically done. 1 lie.Once we go to the meeting they require you to do, we were told we need to finance another 50k to get us up to 300k points a year. When financing originally, we were told we were good with just 130k points a year, which turned out to be another lie. There has been nothing pleasant about any of the processes, considering they were based on lies.

Our experience was amazing, we had the best time and our room was so freaking perfect for our family of 4! We had the 2 bedroom suite, my kids each had their own bed and a seperate bathroom from ours. All very clean and stocked with everything youd need. Washer & dryer. Dishwasher. Our patio overlooked the pool, literally the best room ever. Freebies happen everyday from alcoholic beverages to ice cream Sundays ... the fitness area was clean and we utilized the poolside grill.. VALLET is a must. Save up 25 a day for it .. it was so easy and soooooo convenient. Riverwalk wasnt far away but far enough to not have crowds right outside your hotel space. Honestly we had the best time, you Can tell each employee truly cared for their role in making that place the best for their guests.

The rooms are beautiful and well kept or I should say suite the suite we were in was amazing so nice with all accommodations needed as if I was in my own home the pool is gorgeous and the view from the rooftop where pool n jacuzzi is so beautiful u can see all of downtown San Antonio while sunbathing pool side n enjoying a margarita. Overall I had an amazing special experience here and I want to go back and never leave lol I will definitely and I already have bragged about the amazing Wyndham la cascada . Perfect location where we were within walking distance from the Fiesta and the festivities and night parade . I give this hotel 1000 stars if that was an option thats how amazing it is !!! Beautiful hotel and lovely room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The valet service needs some work though. No real options besides to use that service and we waited for over an hour to retrieve our vehicle the first time and 35 min the second when we were told 10-15 min. Not a big deal just wished we would have been told they were running behind so we could plan accordingly. Not much fun with 3 children all ready to go and no car. Other than that it was perfect!

We had 4 suites for the weekend. When parking you can either park on the street or pay to use their valet service. Be wary, we used the Valet service, they damaged our vehicle and do not want to pay for the repairs. What a shame, valet service should be paying for the damage they caused, and Wyndham should take responsibility for the contractors they use.

Very slimy way to approach me. After numerous calls that I missed, I called the front desk to see who was calling - they told me that no one had called (even though it came up on called ID three times) When I got to the room, there was a note saying that I had a gift waiting for me. Went down to the desk to be greeted to a lady with very fake false eyelashes who told me I needed to come to a one hour presentation to unlock my gift. I asked her if it was a presentation for time share - she said no but I needed to come to it and get my free dinner coupons. Come on people - hire someone who tells the truth. This isnt my first rodeo. Be honest Have some integrity.....what a waste of time to deal with this lady

We had a great time at this Wyndham location. The staff was friendly and helpful, the common areas and our room were very clean we enjoyed the pool table and gaming table. The roof top pool in the 6th floor was awesome. It has two 3ft deep sides and the middle is about 4ft. The hot tub was great. They also have a small shallow pool on the side very private and great for little ones. They had daily things in the lobby like one day they had ice cream pops, chips, juices and sangria and the next day breakfast pastries and coffee. The location is great, it has direct access to the river walk. Its a nice walk, about 10 mins to get to the restaurants. My only con is the parking. The only option is Valet parking for $22 a night. You can come in and out as much as you want. My issue is that you have to wait for them to bring your car and if you leave something in your car again you have to wait. I just prefer to have access to my car at all times. But the valet employees were very nice. Overall we loved it and would.stay here again.

Nice hotel to stay right outside the main riverwalk but next to the river.Great for walking in the morning and evenings. You can walk to the main riverwalk and shops or away from the busy area and next to river thru nature. Loved doing both. There is construction around the hotel that makes it tough to follow maps blindly, but Google maps has been our good friend and we ignore our vehicle GPS.There are changes made to accommodate COVID19 and at times it feels burdensome. But its all good while we all go thru this pandemic. The staff are all very friendly. The sales process is a bit changed from what it used to be, but if you are an owner you should be familiar with it.There arent many units with River view but its a nice hotel with plenty of light and ventilation. The room service is outstanding work our needs but the reason we had to call room service multiple times is the reason for losing a 🌟 here.Overall we enjoyed our stay and sure to return in future.

We use our vehicle once out of valet during our stay. We walk everywhere else. On our check out day I ask valet to bring our SUV down. I walked around my vehicle and then we left. We got home and five days later I had our vehicle hand washed. They asked me if I noticed the damage on the top of the vehicle. I told them no our vehicle is a new vehicle with only 700 miles. Valet damaged our vehicle and they never let us know about it. We had to find out for ourselves. The damage was on the top like it was wedged under a blue pipe or sprinker. The damage had blue paint on it. We hope they take the responsibility and fix our vehicle.

Stayed in the 2 bedroom presidential suite. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The room is comfortable but slightly smaller than I thought. The jacuzzi tub is perfect after a long day. The customer service was excellent. I only have three complaints and it is because of the way the master bed room bathroom is designed. 1. There is only one sink. 2. The shower is way too small to be considered a presidential suite and 3. There is No door to the bathroom; which means when you step out of the shower or bath... youll freeze and you are fully exposed. However, there is a door for the toilet, which is nice.

I just stayed at this property. I am not an owner, just booked it at the nightly rate. Very nice room, nice pool area. The property is a little off from the main area of the Riverwalk, about a ten minute walk to the restaurants and boat rides. My main complaint is how hard the property is pushing timeshare sales. The concierge desk is just pushing you to attend a sales talk. They even called our room at least four times (when we were there) to try to get us to attend a sales talk. During the day the elevators were full of people taking tours. All of this was annoying. I would find a different place to stay next time.

Pros: Resort was gorgeous, well maintained, and clean. Rooms were large and up kept well. I would most certainly recommend this resort to anyone for those reasons. Staff was pleasant and always offered a hello or water every time we walked by.Cons: The sales staff pretty much ruined the experience and our vacation. Within the first three hours of landing and being at the resort, the sales called our room three times and even knocked on our door within the first three hours. They continuously kept calling OVER and OVER again daily until they chased us down when we were going out to dinner. When we told them we weren’t interested in a timeshare presentation they continued to push the subject for another five minutes. They even questioned why we couldn’t come to the presentation and wanted us to readjust our plans for the presentation. It was a terrible experience despite the gorgeous hotel. La cascada its self was wonderful. The valet however...we paid $25 per night for parking only for them to damage my sons car. Upon finding the damage we contacted valet and sent pics. We were told they were filling out the proper forms and would contact us in 7-10 business days after doing an investigation. Those days came and went with no contact so I called to follow up. After a couple hours they contacted my son to tell him they didnt do it therefore they werent responsible and to have a nice day. I called la cascadas front desk to express my dissatisfaction on how this was handled. They told me they would discuss it with a supervisor and get back with me only to call back and tell me because its another company they cant do anything but would talk again to valet on my behalf to try and get it taken care of. She said I would hear back from them that day to give me more information. Two days later and still no return phone call. Ive given them a chance to rectify this before leaving this review but now know nothing will be done. I wouldnt have pushed the issue of valet damaging my sons car if I didnt myself witness them drive over a curb in a customers suv, then back up over the same curb because they couldnt make the turn. Then while backing in that same suv almost hit a parked car in THEIR OWN parking lot. The owners of the suv were standing there waiting to get their suv and witnessed it also. They had to yell at the valet to stop before he hit the parked vehicle. I cannot believe Wyndham / LA Cascada would let a company they are associated with treat their guests this way. I paid for service and expected my car to be taken care of. Why did I pay for someone to damage my car and turn a blind eye. I will now avoid most Wyndham properties that require valet.

Room was amazing. Beds were comfy. That is where the good stuff ended. No matter what they say, valet parking is manditory and you cant go to your car without a valet guy. Also, I should have known with the word club that there would be a presentation. If you do not wanna know about the sales presentation stop reading here. The lady at the hotel promised the presentation would be an hour at the most. She even wrote it down and signed it! Also. There would be a grab-n-go breakfast. She told us to get all the fruit juices and drinks we wanted. Those are for you!!! She also talked about what wonderful lattes they had! Breakfast was one small, not good breakfast taco with a small bottle of water... no other drink. Noooo latte. The salesman Jorge assured us he was not like the other salesmen, and wed be out in a few minutes. An hour in to his presentation I told him the hotel lady promised one hour. I said Ive been here an hour and have no idea how much this costs. I said, you have 5 minutes to tell me what it costs. Well that did it. He drew a red line, told me to sign and I could go. This is the oldest trick in a salesmans arsenal. It is a manipulative little fit designed to make you feel bad and sayno no thats ok, i didnt mean to offend you. I just signed the paper. He became quite angry. Well that confirmed I was doing the right thing. I am not intimidated about the manipulative practices of sketchy sales people. For an hour I looked at his family pics and heard him talk about the joys of travelling the world. I did get a glimpse of the paperwork he had and I saw the words, amount financed $17,500.00 - he never mentioned the price but he Said it was a special deal just for me since they put me in as an owners friend. Blah blah. But we never got to the price. I had to answer questions from another guy as to why I was leaving. I answered because I was getting 2 nights free parking and 5 tickets to the river boats! Facility was amazing but Ill never go back. I like to relax on vacations. And I do not appreciate liars who try to manipulate me . I could go on. There is more but you get the idea. Be warned. I felt like I was in a bad remake of Soilant Green, lol. Why cant people just explain the program and let you go???

I would give this hotel a better rating if we had not been pressured by the sales lady to attend their sales presentation, we somehow were talked into a 30 minute presentation, but we had to give a $20 deposit, in order to get a $50 gift card to pay for parking...we were told we would get the $20 back. We ended up not being able to attend because of Hurricane Irma. We needed to get going on our last day earlier than planned to beat the storm. All in all they kept the $20.00. The room itself was nice and clean. The beds were firm. If we had known about the sales pitch we would have chosen a different hotel. Our time is more important!!!

This is just an ok place. The bldg renovation long ago was not good. Ikea grade cabinets and terrible paint work. The toilet didnt work most of our stay and the engineer could not get it fixed. We had 2 rooms so we made it work. The beds are the hardest beds Ive ever tried to sleep on so much so that we cut our trip short by a day cause they were that bad. Rooms were clean for the most part except for the kitchens. Just look on top of the fridge when you go inside. There is nothing close to this place to do. No bars or restaurants within walking distance.

This kind of customer service is what will make it easy to choose to stay at this hotel. Thank you Terrence for your excellent customer service and making the difference.

My wife and I were tricked and lied into visiting this Hotel so to get a tour of their facilities. I exchange they would give us some gifts. Juan also told us that the tour would not last longer than 1 1/2 hours. What Juan failed to say was that this would be a timeshare presentation that lasted almost 4 hours and ate into our get away weekend. We hated every moment we were there including the hotel tour. It was not nice and it smelled horrible. I wouldnt stay there regardless of the timeshare scam. You have to be a special breed to have the heart to try to scam people out of their hard earned money.CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!Update: Wyndham answered my review asking me to contact them. They gave me a bogus email to do so. Basically just pretending they care just to give those reading their response the illusion of them trying to fix the problem.

We had the sales people talking to us for like 4 hours all our day was gone :(. It is a very stressful situation because even though you tell them you dont want the time share they continued to push you into it. They get upset. I noticed the ladys face when we declined the time shares. I felt terrible I figured get some share plan because of the pressure and then went home feeling I had obtained another debt during this pandemic period which I am only working part time. Luckily I read all the contract and was able to cancel my membership. I do wish to stay in this hotel it is just that I can not afford to pay 800 plus monthly specially now that my hours were cut.

Beautiful facility with gorgeous views. We enjoyed our stay here. I was a little disappointed with my experience with some if the concierge staff. Debbie was wonderful and worked with us on our options in this area, she recommended Mi Tierra and it was delicious. Another member of that team was not so pleasant. In his quest to try to convince me to attend their presentation, he would not accept no for an answer. He went so far as to try to play on my sympathies by telling me that this will affect their commission at the end of the week, because we wouldnt attend. When that didnt work, he made a rude comment about my husband. The management was very kind and spoke with us about our stay, they gave us wrist bands to ride the shuttle. The only activities planned were tied to attending a presenation, so that was disappointing.

This review is not for the hotel itself, but for the sales department that pushes you to get the time shares. It was stated very clearly during and after the presentation that we were not interested in time share. It just was not ideal for our lifestyle. We didnt even know we going to be seeing a presentation about time shares. We were told we were helping out the hotel by doing a tour because they do not have much traffic because of the location. I felt the whole set-up was misleading to certain people who are new to the area. They lure you in with deals, specials and gifts. After thinking about it I asked to cancel before the tour but I was told we could only do it at the hotel. Against my better judgment by the time we got there they were setting my sister up for a session. All was fine until Patrick continued to push the sale. My sister even gave out her information not knowing they running her credit. She even asked why he needed the information and he did not explain it was to run her credit to see if she qualified for the time share. I must admit they caught us off guard because we were tired and not thinking at our best. But even after that we were approached by the lady with the boot on who was PUSHY and RUDE! I directly declined all the offers and so did my sister, but she was not happy at all and she showed it. My thing is a NO is a NO. People come to enjoy a vacation, not to be mislead in receiving gifts and promotions for their time. It is a lesson learned. Wyndham sales representatives should respect the No of people and they should not use tactics that are not clear to prospects. I understand sales and marketing and their methods are tacky and extremely disappointing.

I don’t mind being asked once or even twice, but I had to tell the same person no five or six times. I just want to show up and enjoy my getaway with my wife. Later in the day today when I walked back in the lobby, they hassled me again. I valet my car and I called down to have it brought to the front. They told me it would be about 10 minutes. My wife and I sat in the lobby for close to 30 minutes and again we were hassled trying to get us to sit through a presentation and buy something. I again had to tell the representative several times I’m not interested. Finally I got sick of waiting for my car and I asked for it and they said oh I didn’t have your number my radio must not be working. Instead of asking us why we were sitting there they were trying to sell us on buying more. If you come here don’t expect a hassle free relaxing stay. And this was just my first day here.....

The front desk staff helped in finding another room however there was no compensation. When I asked for my valet to be covered due to the fact there were ROACHES the supervisor only said they can pay for one night of valet! Thankfully the front desk understood my circumstance and I did not pay for valet. I am very disappointed in management because I NEVER saw them, they did not try and make the stay better. I have been here more than once. The standards have dropped tremendously! The rugs throughout Resort were dingy, and the rooms rugs were the same. The TV has very few channels and most are documentaries! In order to watch something, a cost of $19.99 per movie is the cost. I have been Presidential Reserve for years. It appears that the standard has dropped to a money making empire, without the GREAT CUSTOMER AND FAMILY orientation Wyndham used to possess. Parking is $20.00 nightly. Its not the money thats the concern. The standard has diminished tremendously. I dont think I will be going back again.

Overall we had a good time. Wallie and Martha were great drivers. Unfortunately, I agreed to a 15 minute survey and paid $20 for them to come to our room... we were not told both my spouse and I had to be present to answer a couple quick questions, when we met up the next day 15 minutes turned into over an hour along with being told indirectly that we need to change our loan once again. After polity letting the member know multiple times we were not going to do anything, seems how we get no updates, have no one (and will never have anyone unless we pour in more money) assigned to assist us, always end up being told it looks like we were “overlooked” but because of our situation they should make an exception to still give us the great deal. After requesting the only assistance being to upgrade one of our Wyndham credit cards the following day, I went downstairs to meet the member... after 13 minutes of waiting after our appointment time, I reached out to him and told him I was going back to my room, he asked if anyone helped me (um no, I was specifically waiting on you seems how we had an appointment and even confirmed earlier in the morning). I received a phone call just to be told someone else would be calling in regards to helping with getting our military orders turned in to lower our interest rate, Cody was very rude and demeaning, after thanking him for his time after being told Wyndham would not help us out at all, I hung up, never to hear back from the first member, never to receive my $20 back, nor my guaranteed gift card, nor the time taken away from my family and vacation.Being told that this resort only makes money off of valet parking and raising maintenance fees was not something that should be shared to members or potential members.Being told that if we want to stay where we are at (owning here) and throwing away our money then good for us but he would start all over and get the loan through someone other than Wyndham cause they are super high in rates is not something that should be told to members or potential members.Being told that after 10 years doing it his way we will have no maintenance fees ever again, (and then when called out on the reality of that statement he got very defensive) is something that should not be told to members or potential members. Not receiving a return call, follow up, action requested and told I would receive, an acceptance of our answer on where we stand with our loan, anything special or above the norm for being loyal VIP members for over 13 years has made this trip frustrating. On another positive note, Tay and Joey were great at the front desk, other that real lose door handles in the rooms and on tub, we had no complaints on our room or the resort property.

What can I say. Typical Wyndham experience. This is one of the nicer ones but as an owner they are just a turn off in general. They werent pushy this time or anything but I just feel the service should be top notch. No maid or turn down service unless youre there a full week. No bar, restaurant, food, room service, spa etc. Theres only a vending machine, billiards table, valet, pool, hot tub & gym to redeem them. Theres lots of children around & they take over most of those very minimal amenities. We checked in late after 11pm & had to wait 30 minutes for them to chat to us & to give us our welcoming gift. I wont even get into all that.As an owner I cant believe Im paying valet everyday to park my car. This should be a customary service if youre an owner. The rooms are nice & large but put together almost haphazardly with poor paint jobs & weak fixtures. Caulking around shower doors just not visually pleasing. We stayed in room 409. If Im going to own it needs to be as nice or nicer than my own home. The employees were nice but nothing special & we were definitely not treated the way we were sold we would be treated at our sales pitch to become owners. We were told while there that they were closing 8 of their most large & popular resorts. Why?And why are you telling me this? And why are you calling these resorts? Theres nothing resort about any Wyndham. Maybe she was trying to help out so wed get out of this ownership fiasco. Do not buy with Wyndham. They are going downhill not up as they like to exclaim. Other Wyndham owned hotels weve been to have been horrible (talking to you, Microtel) & dont even know or recognize points. Youve got to get a special type credit card for that or something crazy. Its just ridiculous. So your options are very limited. Not worth it at all. That said, San Antonio is fabulous & this is one of the better Wyndhams we have experienced.

I have very mixed feelings about this property. I have stayed at fabulous properties in New York City and Austin but this one fell short. It feels dated and there were things in our room that didn’t work properly. We had to yank on the handles to get the shower started and it feels like we would pull them off. 3/4 of the fans in our room didn’t work properly and didnt reach full speed. The AC unit was very confusing to work and it was either freezing or too warm. The concierge staff was overly friendly and seemed disappointed and upset we were only staying one night and when we explained that one night was all that the property had available they made it sound like that the property being booked up and us only staying one night was unacceptable. The valet is very expensive but the staff working it are friendly and helpful. The location is wonderful and close to the riverwalk. The quality of the towels in our suite was horrendous!!!! I’d expect higher quality linens in a property like this. The sales staff are extremely aggressive and pushy and do not take no for an answer. The “breakfast” they offered were room temp breakfast tacos that had been sitting out for some time and had already been picked over. Not worth the time or hassle at all. I don’t think I’d want to return to this property nor would I recommend it to my friends who are owners.

Club wyndham is a beautiful resort. The rooms are amazing. You can walk to Riverwalk! Alot activities to do at the resort and on Riverwalk. The only problem I had was at pool. A other guest who lives locally brought his whole family of 30 members. Who not staying at Wyndham. There no chair to sit on . Because whole family put their beach towels on every chair .There was only 15 people at pool with 30 chair with beach towels on them. Some people went lobby to get snow cones. Who was gone over a hour. You had family members holding chairs for people who not at pool. There only one person who was staying at the resort. 29 other people didnt have room at resort. I went to lobby and complained to check in counter. They did nothing. Most wyndham resort you can bring two guests to pool. So if you wanted to throw family reunion at wyndham La Cascadia resort at pool. They be ok with. I would stay away from pool. The rest of resort was great!
