My favorite place on the Riverwalk. There isn’t a pool but can use the one at the sister hotel further down the Riverwalk. Location, location, location! Right in the heart of so much, easily walkable or drivable to the Majestic Theatre, Riverwalk, parking garages, food, bars, bakeries, drug stores, and super easy drive to the Pearl District, Japanese Sunken Gardens, San Antonio Zoo, and the Frost Bank Center. Light sleepers be warned you will hear outside sounds (you are in the Riverwalk and downtown. Earplugs are provided but I honestly never used them; the sounds didn’t bother me at all. Spacious rooms, fridge, freezer, cook top, microwave, coffee maker, no oven. The aroma of the bath amenities is so tranquil, I prefer them over my own lol. Patio/deck area on the 3rd floor with beautiful views of the Riverwalk.
The greatest strength of this place is also its greatest weakness: proximity to the Riverwalk. You go out the front door and around the corner are the steps down to the Riverwalk. But, be warned that if your room faces the Riverwalk, you wont be able to get to sleep until the wee hours of the morning due to the night life nearby. Its like trying to sleep next to a disco. Wyndham does provide earplugs, but they are less than adequate. The place seems to be well maintained for the most part especially considering its in an old building thats gone through multiple incarnations over the years. The odd thing is that the front door is on College Street, which at that point is essentially a back alley with a bunch of dumpsters and a constant parade of trucks that are loading and unloading. On the postive side, the front desk staff is excellent, particularly Sydney and James! The parking at the City Garage down the street works out really well, and the outside patio on the 3rd floor is a great place to hang out, especially at night. This is the place to be if you want to be right on the Riverwalk.
Small hotel but well kept and extremely friendly staff...not in the greatest of locations but the rooms and view of theriverwalk more than makeup for the location
Great location and nice resort. Older smaller rooms but very nice. Only downside is it can get noisy on the weekends.
Avoid Club Wyndam like the plague. They will try to entice you with good deals, but honestly none of it is worth it. It was a completely waste of two hours when all I wanted was a boat ride on the RiverWalk. We were told it would be a tour of a hotel but instead it was a presentation for purchasing a timeshare. They can not take NO for an answer. Its clear theyre desperate for money as theyre underwent several lawsuits and are currently in one regarding deceptive practices. Always read the fine print people!
This place was most excellent! Super easy check-in & very kind, attentive staff. They assisted us by helping with our parking needs & gave us a complimentary welcome pkg complete with plenty of Eclipse glasses for our group! The suite was actually pretty big w/ a full bedroom plus sleeper, full bath, & complete kitchen w/ full size fridge/freezer, & also very clean & well stocked. We had a blast & would definitely return for fun or a little R&R on the San Antonio Riverfront :)
Fantastic location, we had a beautiful window view of the Riverwalk. Friendly staff, and the rooms were clean, very comfortable beds and pillows.
Here now everything is great, except the bar next door. Had we been warned it would have been one thing, but showing up and not knowing is entirely a different story. Very disappointed that our entire bed is bouncing at 12:19 am from the bars music. We had no clue as we checked in and headed out for dinner, came back and hear it then realized that leave ear plugs in the room so you can drown thw noise out.... I do not come on vacation to sleep with ear plugs in my ears! Guess the bar is open till 2am....
The apartment was great. We had a one bedroom one bath unit. Its on the river and close to many restaurants and shops. The only downside is the noise that comes from the street and the bar next door. If youre sensitive to noise or a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. They do provide ear plugs so thats a plus. Otherwise this place is great!
Definitely would consider this my least preferred Wyndham Resort/Hotel/whatever-one-may-call.Our room was ok, with the wooden floor extra damp and sticky. The phone in the room never worked thru our 5 night stay, even after reporting to the front desk. The only response we got was yes, the phone in some rooms dont work. The dish washer had to be run twice to even barely get the dishes cleaned. The response from the maintenance guy that came was to turn it on and said its working. The microwave doesnt close easily and you cant get it turned on, instead a message pops up saying the door isnt closed. The response from the maintenance guy was, it needs to be replaced. But it was not during our stay. The kitchen burners were hard to use with one of them doesnt turning ON. The fix is to hold the button very tight and rotate, no other solution.Even with good customer service, its hard to stay at a place that seems like it needs a whole lot of work. The staff is very friendly if only unable to help in ways that really matter to the customer.
I booked my reservation in January 2024 for a stay in June 2024. On the day of arrival for my destination, I received a call in the morning that the air conditioning was out in the building, and that if it wasn’t fixed by the time I needed to check in that they would be relocating guests. They said they would call me if needed to relocate. I had a reservation for a two bedroom suite, arrived by plane with my family of five. Upon landing, I had no messages from the hotel so we drove there. When we arrived I was told that the ac was still not working and was given a number to call for relocation. The hotel staff had no idea where we were relocating to. So, I call and spoke with a representative, was put on hold for 30 minutes while she tried to figure it out, and then was told that she needed to contact the hotel to confirm. She tried to call them and said she was unable to reach them. She said she would email them, and said response was usually quick, then she would call me back. I never received a call back during my three night trip. I ended up calling around all night to find new accommodations. I found three rooms at La Quinta (no 2-bedroom suites to be found anywhere), and paid slightly more. They were very accommodating, great location, had free breakfast daily, and a swimming pool (which Riverside did not have). Needless to say, my experience with Wyndham Riverside was utterly dissatisfying. I would not recommend. San Antonio is hot af and to have a hotel without ac that left me stranded with my family was horrible. I was lucky that we rented a car and didn’t Uber there otherwise we would have been screwed.
This is a very nice place. It is a little odd that a large part of the building is the Landries Restuarant next door. It must have been some kind of other structure, but it works. We were pleased with the room and especially the location. They have a large balcony that anyone can use. We were there when they were having very high temperatures. The HVAC had a hard time keeping up, they had it worked on. Unfortunately, they thought it would not last and break again so, they moved use to the La Quinta for our last night.
Only downside is very slow Internet. Great location, can walk to everything, parking is reasonable, many rooms have a river view, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They even have a shuttle to take you around town. (Perry has a wealth of knowledge about local history!) Asia was great as concierge, making reservations for us and making recommendations. Oh...and they do provide needed earplugs if you face the river...live music every night!
Our stay so far has been awesome! The perfect centralized location for The River Walk area. The maintenance gentleman Edwin has been so kind and super helpful with everything! The desk clerks are friendly as well 😊
Nice hotel, the room we were in felt a little older, and the layout was kind of odd. Our view of the Riverwalk was pretty cool. The sounds from outside were not too loud that it didnt disturb us. The staff was very nice and responsive when we needed anything. I would be very careful getting in the shower. It is a very large step and wide rim. I slipped both times I got in and out of the shower.
We had a very nice view of the river walk. The staff was superb but the furniture needed repair. Other than that I would’ve given them 5 stars.
Pros: This location is unmatched. Right in the middle of the riverwalk, there is so much to do literally right behind the hotel. So much great food within walking distance. We walked everywhere.Cons: It is so noisy. We were on the street-facing side and the noise from the club next door and then the street racing, garbage trucks, etc. was so loud, there is absolutely no noise reducing. We even had a noise machine going and even that didnt drown it out. The cleaning was so/so, definitely noticed a few places that were missed. There is no in-room washer/dryer, which were used to having at Worldmark/Wyndham locations, so that was a big bummer. Also the parking isnt onsite, $15/night seems steep when you have to walk a block to the car and theres no real drop off, you just have to pull up and put your hazards on to get bags in/out - pack light!
Lovely place historic building great staff no amenities. Rooms come with earplugs cause some nights its loud at the river walk. Convient walking distance to everything. Small hallways. Dislike the road its on where you walk in is mainly for garbage and parking. Once around corner its beautiful wish there was an entrance from the river walk to avoid that street.
The staff was wonderful the customer service was superbsuperb. The room had a wonderful view. I am not sure if they realize how important it is not to leave exposed mold on the baseboard in the kitchen area. The room was great but crumbs on the floor was disappointing. The flooring in the room needed a lot of work and for some reason the laminate floors felt sticky. This resort is located in a great location walking distance to great spots in downtown but it needs updating its not standard for Wyndham to have a resort in this condition.
Great location, great staff, room was wonderful. Only unexpected downside were the odors from the adjacent room seeping into ours. A 10 minute adjustment to the AC helped clear the air. I would stay here again with no hesitation. Photo taken from 3rd floor balcony.
The floors in the room need swept and mopped. Other than that, we loved our stay. Great location. Right on the river walk!
Old but well maintained and right next to the River Walk. Only problem was an old heating system that failed when we were there. Attempts to fix it failed so they brought up portable heaters that worked just fine. The rooms balcony had an awesome view of the city.
The concierges were pushy and didnt want to take no for an answer. They incessantly called our room. The location is nice. Its right on the river walk and you can walk to a lot of cool sights. The off-site parking that you have to pay an additional $15/day for was a little inconvenient. It also felt like a safe area. The room was mediocre. It felt like a typical hotel room rather than the warm spaces weve had at other resorts. You had to ask for extras like dish soap and such (usually those are in the room). The water pressure in the shower was skin-melting.It was a nice stay but I wouldnt return for another visit here.
I would NEVER stay here. DO NOT make eye contact with their employees on the riverwalk. Worst than a used car salesman. They harass, you trying to get you to come back the next day to tour the rooms. People just want peace on vacation.
Didn’t get to stay here. I’m unsure if this is the truth but I was called a week before checkin to be told my reservation was cancelled due to no a/c. I made reservation 6 months in advance.
The hotel is not your standard Wyndham Hotel that we are used too. Front entrance is off an alley and the lobby is extremely small. No free parking, but there is a public parking garage a 5 minute walk away. Hotel does provide a $15 a day parking pass with unlimited in and out parking. There is a laundry room on the 2nd floor. The unit we had on the 3rd floor was great. Our room faced the Riverwalk and gave a great view. Layout of the room was great and the shower water pressure was the best I have ever experienced with a Wyndham. There is also a rooftop patio to sit and take in the sounds and music of the Riverwalk restaurants. The location is just above Joes Crab Shack and many restaurants are just a short walk away. Alamo is a few blocks away and the Riverside Mall is a 10 minute walk along the Riverwalk. We went in August 2023 and it was a hot (113 degrees). But plenty of areas to cool of in and have a cold drink.
This resort is in an older building in downtown San Antonio overlooking the river. It is not a resort in the normal sense of the word. The suite we had was nicely appointed and roomy enough. The staff we dealt with were nice. You will hear music from nearby clubs in the evening, but it was not loud in our unit. Traffic in area on weekends can build up. If you want bigger and more modern stay at the nearby Wyndham La Casadas. I would stay at either one again. Convenient to dining and shops.
Our room had the only bedroom at the top of a very long spiral staircase. We couldnt even carry our bags up there. We had to get dressed in the downstairs living room. The kitchen was very very tiny.Weve stayed at this resort before and absolutely loved our room. This room was terrible.
We can to this hotel following an intense hotel remodel, the previous time we came it looked very old and in desperate need of a remodel. Im so glad Wyndham finally gave this property a MUCH NEEDED remodel. The service for check-in was amazing and it went very smoothly. I also note that this property has just purchased two new buses for its new Shuttle Bus service. The rooms were very comfy, soft pillows, and the sheets were clean as a whistle.Great Job, Riverside Suites! Well be back for Christmas!
Paint chipping on dining table overhead light fixture. Every corner of our room had dust bunnies from obvious overlooked sweeper. Most furniture was old. The elevator button for level 1 is rubbed off and hard to find. Suggested White Out. Noise level from being so close to the Riverwalk wasnt too bad. I used ear plugs to make sure. Staff are very pleasant and we managed to side step the Update 90 minute presentation. $100 wont persuade anyone as they last 3 hours or more, in previous experiences. All in all, our stay would have been compared to a Motel 6, not worth the points.
Worst place Ive ever stayed at in my life! I’ve stayed all over the WORLD with my contract. The GM, Chad, doesnt care about his guests after what I heard. They wont do anything to accommodate you or try and make a situation better. There was hair all over the floor, dirty dishes, hair in the shower, there was blood splatter on our shower curtain, the bed was dirty with makeup. There were some sort of big bugs running all over the patio, and the tissues and box were soggy. There wasn’t any ice! This place is a dump!!!! If I could give it zero stars, I would. Even the staff (especially James, he was so rude) didnt care about making our experience better. I was told I could get free parking at the Cascada, if I asked for for the inconvenience since people were out staying there checkouts and I had to be moved to another place. While in line to get my parking card, I could hear the person in front of my had the same issue. They kept saying, “You’re just an employee!” How rude! You would think one employee wouldn’t be so disrespectful to another employee. Plus he was on the phone with what sounded like a manager when he was saying this. Then when I also ask for the parking I was promised, they tell me that I have to attend some seminar to get free parking. I pay enough money for my contract and fees, and they won’t even give me free parking. This resort needs to get new management, Chad is horrible and running it to the ground! I’ve had problems with him before in another city too, so to hear that he wasn’t being helpful, wasn’t shocking. I can’t believe he is still running resorts.
After we returned home, we realized my daughter left her dream catcher hanging in the window of our room. Im on a Facebook page for wyndham owners. After leaving a review. A very sweet lady said she was checking in that day. I ask her if she saw it in the window from the balcony. Although she didnt she did talk to the front desk. Mark went above and beyond double-checking the lost and found. They were able to find it! The sweet lady Deb that checked in that day (who I dont know at all and have never met) offered to ship it to us! Incredibly kind people. Thank you!!!!!
The worst hotel/resort experience I ever had! No one notified us that room was downgraded that I paid cash and points for. I had my elderly mother (Wyndham owner) and a small child with me and needed what I booked (2 bedroom). I asked if they had any other properties with what I booked and they said no and basically did not care. I had to scramble to find a room elsewhere and it cost me over 800 dollars to find another hotel and it took time/ the day planned for vacation. We frankly do not trust this brand to give what is paid for going for. Will never book again with Wyndham for an out of state trip. They should be responsible to compensate me for room I had to get bc my mother could not share a bed with two other people due to medical.
The room was great. We were a little bummed that we didnt get our own balcony but the shared patio was awesome. We were usually the only ones there and you can see the river below and hear the live music from the nearby piano bar. We hardly ever heard or saw anyone on our floor.
Four stars for the location and 24 hour front desk attendant. Rooms were ok and included a induction cooking surface, refridgerator, basically a tiny but usable kitchen. On the Riverwalk, but the single entrance is from a rough looking alley (college st.) with no direct access to the Riverwalk side. Not a problem though a you just have a short walk around the building. It has a nice common use patio looking out over the river.
Always a great stay. Lots of loud traffic noise this year. The concierge service was wonderful. Folks doing owner meetings were off their game and messed up some of our travel .
Great location directly on the Riverwalk. Rooms noisy at night due to Riverwalk music. They provide earplugs but you also need to bring your own white noise machine to drown out the music. Not too loud, but bad for light sleepers. Rooms are nice enough, but no oven. Good TVs but not too many channels
The location was great right in the middle of everything tourist want to do. Claudia and Irene at the front dest were great. My problems were with the concierge service and condition of the room!!The concierges Paul and Kim were very push and unprofessional!! I am a Wyndham owner and for them to keep pushing me into going to another Wyndham location for a presentation was borderline harassment!! They both said we would be sorry and regret it. Because we did not go, we were not offered simple amenities like the shuttle bus to different sites around the city. They have great deals to do tourist events but if you dont take a few hours out of your vacation to go and listen to the Presentation you get nothing!! We pay a lot for our ownership, why should I have to go to another sales pitch. Just WRONG!!!!The room was dirty, specifically popcorn next to the bed from the previous guest. The ceiling fan did not work properly, and the light on the deck was broken.Great location, some attention to detail could go a long way!! And the concierges they were just horrible!!!!
Really wished I would have done research before booking my family trip to San Antonio. The only thing we enjoyed was the location on the river walk. Other then that this is not your typical nice downtown hotel. I couldn’t believe it was a Wyndham owned property. Nowhere to park, nowhere to offload luggage, no breakfast for the small kids, lobby area only big enough for maybe 4 people at a time. We arrived at 3:15 and they would not let us check in early, we had to wait until 4PM. My kids wanted some simple cereal in the morning; to my surprise they offer NOTHING AT ALL FOR BREAKFAST. I understand this place is under construction but I’ve never experienced a Wyndham location this bad.... the river walk is saving this place..... this place will survive off the location it self other then that find another Downtown hotel to enjoy your vacation....
Its not the most up-to-date resort hotel, but its nostalgic and has an excellent location. Ive come here several times and intend to continue.
Room without a view! Small but clean, no view! Good location for the riverwalk & close to the Alamo.Be aware that the Concierges are pushy, we dealt with Paul, he offered breakfast & discounted tickets-with a catch, an hour time share preview. Being retired, our income is under the required $75KWe’re still laughing that we got kicked out of a time share presentation 😁The rest of the staff we dealt with were very professional & nice.
The room was very nice. It was a 1 bedroom suite overlooking the Riverwalk. I would stay here again with 1 small change. Dont let them book you for a presentation for the vacation club. As a part of giving us a welcome package, the concierge asked me for my credit card. I was assuming it was a hold for potential incidental expenses but she booked me for a presentation and said I would only get the money back after attending. The promised breakfast we were supposed to receive wasnt available and it was a high pressure sales press to buy into their vacation club for $80,000. Other than that, a nice property.
We loved our stay there. Staff were very nice and professional 👏 would stay here again oh thank you for the ear plugs they did help as our room was next to the river walk. Oh, go eat at landrys next door.
Rooms are nice for a 1928 hotel. No oven, but otherwise all you need. Music is loud from the Riverwalk restaurants, and the hotel is right on the Riverwalk. They provide earplugs. But we had to turn on a white noise generator to be able to sleep. Bring your own generator. Nice staff. Have to park a block away in a parking garage. A little hard to park on the street and get everything into the lobby the size of a small bedroom. Location is excellent and an outside patio looks directly down onto the Riverwalk..
This is a pretty nice resort. I chose it because it sits right on the Riverwalk and several restaurants are in walking distance. They have WiFi, a microwave, refrigerator, two-burner stove top, and a coffee maker. One problem I have is getting into the tub here. The wide ledge makes it very difficult to step into the tub. I also wish they had an exit leading out to the Riverwalk. It would cut down on distance for people with mobility issues.
Claudia on days the best and the redheaded person on the desk after her is great too. The others are so friendly. If we ever come back to San Antonio we will definitely 💯 stay here again. Walking distance to some of the best food
Wonderful location overlooking the famous river walk. Sounds of live music can be faintly heard in your room. Nice deck/patio on third floor with view of river walk. Staff was friendly and courteous.
I had a wonderful experience staying here. Check in/out was quick. Love that the entrance is on a quiet street. Everyone who worked there was so nice. Room (307) was spacious and bed comfortable. Loved the wristband keys. Hotel is close to the riverwalk, dining, Alamo, shopping, bus stops, and more. They even provided ear plugs for noisy nights, but I didnt need them even though I was on the riverwalk side. Would stay here again!
Stayed here for a Bach Party for my best friend. We used her points to stay in a suite. The staff is a bit pushy to guests to buy shares. I am not a fan of that. We did get free entry to some local pubs and bars, so that was nice. The room was a little smelly, but comfortable. The biggest downside to this specific resort, would be the alleyway and entrance. It is trashy and addicts hang out in front of the hotel. The homeless individuals did not bother me, but the ones you can tell are addicts, did.
The service is great! I love the location and how close it is to everything! The rooms are clean but super compact. I did not like the winding stairs to get to the bedroom loft. It was a hassle to go up and down stairs. Made it inconvenient day to day as I would dread to go back upstairs if I forgot something.
Bedroom seems spacious, but rooms have diagonal geometry, so not a lot of contiguous floor to work out on, etc, although common room feels like a big studio. Kitchen is compacted along one wall, with 2 glass-top burners that seem under-powered, but has dishwasher (1.5 small racks) below sink & full fridge. Master bathroom shower was only hot & hotter water, but maintenance was quick to fix. Main bathroom has additional door to adjacent bedroom. Vanities just hold small sinks with medium sized counters, no storage. Nice window views & coverings/blinds, although at some point, the rotating Hard Rock Cafe sign flashes sunlight into the dining area. Pull-out couch is unusual, need to get the bedding from front desk. Elevator is pretty quick, parking structure is close (less than a block), but no designated loading zone. Check in was quick. Entry hall of room is long & narrow, and door tries to self-close, but needs to be pulled to actually latch. Laundry unit in master bath extremely slow & limited: after 4 hours, a tiny load is still damp.
Great location. Right on the river walk and easy stroll to the Alamo or to the Majestic theatre. The service was amazing. Chrissy at the front desk was gracious and helpful and super pleasant. We have been Wyndham owners for decades and she was probably the best front desk staff I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
Great views of the riverwalk at this location. Very close access to the river walk walking distance to the almo, boat tours, and dinning options. Staff here are very friendly and helpful. Room are not bad with kitchens and dish washers. Down fall to this location there in no on-site parking and very little parking for check-in. They do use a parking garage a few hundred feet up the road but parking is not free. I highly recommend this location and plan to stay here again
Well situated overlooking the Bend in the Riverwalk and centrally in downtown San Antonio. The staff was exceedingly cordial, informative, and prompt. Downside to being on Bend is the nighttime noise can be somewhat distracting. Hotel provides earplugs for this reason. Avoid knockoff rooms because a single, uninsulated door between the rooms doesnt drown out the noise from the neighbors.
Renovated historic hotel on the San Antonio river walk. Rooms are very nice, excellent access to the river walk. There are many great restaurants and shops within a short walking distance from the hotel. Parking garage, free breakfast, free cocktails in the evening. Staff is friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the lack of any premium TV channels. Near impossible to find anything worth watching. Overall experience was positive though.
Location is awesome - right in the midst of downtown area. The unit itself had some issues; no hot water in kitchen (got to somewhat warm after about five minutes of running), leak under kitchen cabinet that required mopping up the kitchen floor, a/c was frigid in bedroom and hot in living area, and no extra linens in unit upon arrival. However, the staff was great about responding to issues and offering assistance.
These suites are situated right on the famous San Antonio Riverwalk. We were able to see the beautiful Christmas floats and immediate access to all of the restaurants. The staff personnel are very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. This is an older building that has been renovated and is maintained well. I strongly encourage anyone to visit these suites.
Despite the elevator being out for the first two days and the parking being a hassle this trip turned out to be one of the most fun Ive ever had, due in no small part to Claudia at the front desk who went out of her way at every opportunity to make us feel like friends visiting friends for a week. Her smile and helpfulness is what customer service is all about, and the overnight security guard whos name i wish I had gotten continues that trend into the evening. Thank you for a great vacation we will be back!.
We enjoyed our stay at the Riverside, but wanted to share a few things. First, the garage is the Houston Street Garage, so you can map it and see how close it is. They have a key card so you can come and go for $15/day and it guarantees parking even when the lot seems full. Second, it is loud. I knew that being on the Riverwalk would have noise, but I didnt expect the cacophony of the live Jazz band, the Karaoke club, and whatever else was happening. It was not limited to Saturday and the band is live 7 days a week. Youll need serious sound machines to try and drown out the noise, but the beautiful view certainly helps make up for that. Also in our 2br suite, the second room did not have any windows, which was fine for our kids. I do want to note that I booked through extraholidays.com and my reservation got messed up and they shortened our stay by 2 days. Fortunately Mary and Claudia worked to resolve the issue, but it seems it was a software issue with that site. Overall we really enjoyed the location and the room.
Very bad experience. Company over Books and offers no help. I booked and paid a deposit 2 1/2 months before to my trip. I received emails and confirmation about the booking. I even received a call from the hotel 9 days before as a (early check-in) asking what time I would arrive, number of guest, and names. I arrived 1 hour before the scheduled check-in time and was greeted by the clerk. I gave my information and immediately his faced changed. I waited about 10 minutes and was told they had no rooms available and was given number to call. I called the number and was informed not only was nothing available at that hotel , they stated they were unable to find me anything at any of their other properties. Dont expect this company to try very hard if they over book. I was left to find another hotel and come out off pocket even more.
Nice hotel and friendly staff. We had a nice one bedroom suite, but my only complaint was the sleeper sofa. It was horrible compared to the rest of the room. Luckily my small children slept on it so they didn’t complain much, we made do after layers of blankets to keep from feeling the mattress springs. Wyndham... please make sure sleeper sofas are adequate for a sleeping!
Loved this place! Oh! It did not have all the upscale amenities that many people want! We were in a corner room on the 3rd floor overlooking the Riverwalk! Close distance walking to everything! Fantastic staff too! Just perfect for my husband and I. Cant wait to go back and request our special room!!
Not a lot of extras, but you cant really ask for a better location at this price on the riverwalk. Access to the patio that overlooks the riverwalk is available to all and really makes the experience! We loved having breakfast out there as well as relaxing at night after touristing all day. Weve had three stays here. Rooms are nice and well stocked, but some are oddly shaped and staying with a larger group with the couch pulled out can make it difficult to maneuver.
A unique experience that is for sure. I went with a small grouo of people and we all had a great time. No one had really a bad thing to say about the experience other than it was a bit crowded. We all had great drinks while we were here. The staff is fun and helpful. I can see going back and enjoying this again.
Nice rooms and wonderful service. The only complaint was the entrance location and the parking garage. The entrance is down a small street back alley, and the parking garage is a tight squeeze for large trucks. But other than that, it was a great vacation.
My wife and I are trying to celebrate our 10th anniversary and I originally booked the other location La Cascara where parking is much more accessible but because of a pipe burst I was moved to this location. No clarification on what to expect for parking. No parking tickets for purchase available at the lobby for the parking garage half a block away, I was instructed to find Paul on the 2nd floor because he would know more or less where to park. It was an absolute nightmare. We didnt even stay at the hotel on our first night because there was no available parking anywhere. In fact I never made it into the actual room. I may just return my key and cancel. Just a truly disappointing experience.
Great location. Steps from the heart of the Riverwalk. Rooms were redone within the last couple of years and are in really good shape (even though the building and common areas show their age). If I have one complaint it would be about the size of the suites and the very limited common area. The unit we were in seventh floor) was suitable for 3 people but would be really tight with any more then that.
Nice room & friendly staff. Good location for our needs. Parking garage close and had no issue with loading or unloading at any time. Was good to have guaranteed parking space during this peak time for Riverwalk visitors! Hotel did not have pool and other amenities, but I knew this prior to visit due to reviewing the website. Do not confuse with Wyndham Riverwalk hotel! Had no trouble with street noise. Stayed Street side on 6th floor. However, we had to get up between 5&6 am anyway!
Excellent location on the Riverwalk. Off site parking just a block away is no big deal and even though the suite was small and view was of the brick wall across the street, the balcony view on the 3rd floor was nice. Only issue is the concierge team trying to push their club membership on us by overpromising free meals and vouchers and signing us up for a presentation thatd take away over an hours time from our vacation. I could have done without the pushy sales gimmick. As long as you can get past the concierge team without paying into that presentation deposit, youll have a nice place to stay in beautiful San antonio.
Staff is very nice. However they are pushy in trying to get you attend time sharing seminar. One very nice staff member told me I would be helping him if I would attend; Im not there to help them in fact theyre there to help me. Rooms are very clean and a bit rustic. They do need to upgrade to double pane windows to muffle outside noise.
Very good location, but very loud, if your room has the River view. We thought that is a joke, when we found ear plugs in each room, but when you open the balcony door, you are in the middle of all the noise of a revolution . With closed doors and windows is not that bad. The music and bars across the river are to their pick until 12 -1 am.All the bedrooms on the river walk side, have no windows. We had an 2 bedroom/ 2bath apartment, laid out as a train. Just the living/ kitchen are had widows and view. (Probably, to be fair that everyone on that premium side gets a view. ) Ask for River view! I dont want to imagine what disappointed you can be with the other side view. It looks ghetto. The location is worth just on the River walk. Otherwise, you will be disappointed for the price. The hotel entrance, is a joke. At first, we thought that mistakenly the GPS got us to a delivery back door or something , as is not on the River walk. They excused it by saying that is an historical building and cant modify it, but come on...dress the walls in gold, or hang a chandelier , have a door men with white gloves, or something! Show me that you value my business! We arrived late at night, nobody in front of the door, no parking, homeless people on the street...we had to struggle with all our luggage, double parking in the middle of the street to unload...almost ready to give up. Very poor management! Im not working in the industry, but I know a thing or two as a business woman: if you want to prosper- show your client that you appreciate his/her business! Otherwise, 1st time will be the only time when you get his/her business. I wont go back there, just for this reason.Besides the atmosphere in the hotel, everything else is convenient. The hotel is situated right in the best part of the River walk. (In my opinion, Windham thinks that they give you enough through strategic location , so they keep everything else to minimal experience. )We had to call maintenance guy, after 2 cold nights with the heater broke. They had to order the part, so we enjoyed the proper temperature in the rooms just for 1or 2 nights out of 7. Dont be afraid to ask for what you are paying for, or expect!Otherwise, enjoyed San Antonio to the maximum! Oh, dont buy the bus pass.it is another joke! The stops are in the middle of nowhere or there is just theoretically something to see, just because it is in the city history at one point. Im sorry but in LA, California we call that neighborhood, not attractions! (See the pictures! ) Besides Alamo, which is probably 4min. walk from the hotel, nothing should be on the bus stop. And other cultural point that we enjoyed was the market, but you dont have to spend all that money to get there by the bus/boat deal. Do your research before buying ! I wish I knew that !
The only good part about this hotel is that its in walking distance of the riverwalk and restaurants. Our room 507 was dirty when we arrived. We requested housekeeping, they never came. We went out and bought cleaning supplies from the Walgreens down the street. The toilet overflowed, they asked me if I had used the plunger that was in the room. Maintenance finally came after the carpet was soaked in the 2nd bedroom. We left to eat at 12p to allow maintenance to work. We came back 2:15p to wet, soiled towels lying around. I called the front desk and she stated she would not send housekeeping unless we left again. No pool, no hot tub, no beverage station with coffee and tea, no cafe or bar inside the hotel, no lounge area, etc.
The place was very centric. Close to Riverfront and walking distance to almost everything. Good restaurants and atmosphere all around. Staff was friendly and helpful. We are a family of 5 and this space worked perfect for us! We would stay here again if when we return to San Antonio.
Extremely loud at all hours. We expected some street noise, but there are weird and very loud noises from inside the building as well, possibly pipes banging. Its so bad they actually provide ear plugs in the rooms. Have not tried the ear plugs because I have problems with my ears and cant stick stuff in them, but we have been using white noise apps on two phones at the same time and its not much help (usually one is effective.) We have a view of a very loud alley, though our reservation said riverview. I used to live on a main street with train tracks a block away and this place is louder. Also the hotel does not have an entrance on the Riverwalk, but it is very close. The room is nice otherwise, but youd think there would have been some sound proofing done on the recent remodel, but zero. We can also clearly hear the people in the next room talking. The staff is very nice. There is a free shuttle to take you to some attractions. There is no housekeeping except trash pick up, which doesnt bother me (save some water), but you can get more of whatever you need. Our ice maker in the fridge does not work and there is no ice machine, but there are vending machines. Also as a warning the bed and tub are very high, especially the tub, so it would be very bad for people with mobility issues. Would not recommend, especially due to the noise.
Hot tub was not functioning. The stairs were steep and scary. They shut the water off and didnt even tell us. When it came back on, black gunk came out of the faucet when I was going to take a shower. The shower spray was so weak, the shampoo did not come completely out of my hair. The riverwalk is beautiful, but the Riverside Suites is around the corner from it, not directly on it as advertised. The room itself was clean and rustic. Cooking was awkward, so we ate out a lot.
The suite is very nice, but it is very noisy and hard to sleep. There is both internal machinery noise, and external noise from the river walk. On the weekends, there was party noise, music, etc. till the wee hours. Weeknights not so bad, but the city seems to power wash the streets, and pick up garbage in the middle of the night. I guess this is the price you pay for being right on the river walk, but I would prefer to get some sleep.
My one bedroom was very small, kitchen counter and dinette table was very small we couldnt hardly fit anything. We went with another couple, we got there on Sunday Jan 20 and check out on Wednesday Jan 23. The hallway in the third floor was so narrow only luggage and one person. Then they wanted us to attend a seminar, for me this is a major turn off. Im enclosing pics to see approx size. Now the pros: The view was excellent, right down smack in lively riverwalk. Lots of places to eat. Hope you enjoy this review.
Luckily we werent the ones paying for this place; furniture was too large for living areas and arranged awkwardly - Families of 6 would find it difficult to live in living area - luckily each room had its own TV. Location was great but noisy at night - windows and walls were paper-thin. Thermostat was either too hot or freezing. Kitchen was fully supplied - no oven, of course. Interior decor was outdated and uncomfortable but luckily beds were and Jacuzzi tubs (in bathroom) made up for it. To top it off - had to use public parking. Parking garage was one block away.
It served its purpose, for this stay. We based out of San Antonio, and left each day, returning to sleep. I would not prefer to stay here, if I had to spend any other time in the hotel.Pros: it is the least expensive in the Wyndham Resorts. That weve stayed in.It is right on the River Walk.Staff is very helpful and friendly.Room was clean.Roof top patioCons: No valet. Parking is an issue, if your vehicle is tall. We had to park 2 blocks away and walk, and that is with a handicap placard. No jetted tub, as advertised on the website.Although it is on the River, you can not access it straight from the building. You can not open the windows in your room. There is loud music and construction, throughout the night. The noises from the traffic, horses, and partying come right in.No pool, no hot tub, no gym.We stayed 5 days and the soda machine was out of order, the whole time.No balcony. There are some decorative ones on some rooms. But they can not be accessed.Only one entrance to hotel, and there is no parking at all on the street the entrance is on.
My husband and I stayed here for our 40th wedding anniversary and we loved it! At first, the rooms seemed small as we stayed in a 1 bdrm, but for a remodeled historic property located for easy access to everything, it was emasculate and wonderful. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The concierge, Tay, was amazing. Cant wait to plan another trip there!
First of all the entrance is worse than every store front downtown. Lobby is not even big enough for more than 4 people in it AT ALL. There is no where to offload any baggage and no where to stand in the lobby to figure it out. They give you a key and you immediately have to go up to the room, which I didnt even make IT INTO THE ROOM!! There was absolutely no parking at all for this location, and when speaking with the front desk guy, Ruben, he stated that he had no idea where we could park since he didnt actually work in that location, he was filling in, and we would have to find somewhere and get all our stuff to the room and THEN go speak with SOMEONE ELSE on the SECOND FLOOR, by the name of Paul, to get a ticket to park at least a block away for $15 a night. Just save yourself some trouble and find a different hotel downtown. Just about ANY OTHER hotel downtown would have been better! Day 2 of a stay I paid for that I havent even seen the damn room!
Its a very nice place to stay. The rooms are spacious and clean. Our room had an awesome large walk in shower. The staff was courteous and friendly. The only drawback is the parking garage is about a block away and you had better have a small car. My full size truck would not have fit, but luckily I brought my compact csr this trip so it was no problem. The rooms are no smoking, they do offer a 3rd. Level outdoor area thats really nice. But they close it at 10, so if you smoke or vape and its past 10, you are on the street in a dark alley. The main enterance is on a little dark side street a little hard to find, but thats just nature of being in the river walk. Pack your food and drinks before you get here. Its hard to navigate the streets and plan on parking and just walking everywhere. I really can not wait to return. But be prepared to get hit up to join club Wyndham. They really go a little extreme try to tell you all the reasons you should. But overall, this would always be my first choice.
The best part of living here is the location! Its at the center of downtown and every attraction is walkable from here. However, since its right next to the river walk, its noisy outside at midnight. The room was clean and everything I needed was provided at the suits as well. The security guards were very nice and helpful :)
Not in the same location as we previously stayed. Off Presa & College, Riverwalk. Old place. NO parking at the entrance. Pulled into a No Parking Zone just to walk inside to be ckd in. The reception was very nice and accommodated us getting ckd in before our time. 3rd floor, Riverwalk view. 2 bedroom accessible room. Master bed NEEDS updating, major. Very roomy room, and bathrooms large. This one is NOT any way compared to Cascada.
They took great care of us on arrival, unloaded our luggage and took it to our room. The room was laid out a little weird, really old but well maintained building, but was comfortable and had everything we needed.
This Wyndham is very different from most and definitely encompasses the old town feeling. However, there is no place to park to unload except in the road. The parking is a small hike away in a garage that is $20 a day unlimited per day or $10 per entry/exit to the garage. The noise level is immense every morning at 5 to 6 am due to deliveries and trash service to the adjacent hospital, they do provide ear plugs for guests which helped a little. The rooms are not quite as nice as other Wyndham properties and was very hard to control the climate. I think I would choose a different location next time I visit San Antonio, but as a plus it is in the middle of the riverwalk and nightlife.
Arriving at the hotel was a little tricky. Entry road to the hotel is not much more than a alley. Info on what to expect on check in would have been helpful. Everyone very friendly and great location on the river walk to tour San Antonio. San Fernando Cathedral light show a must do.
Really nice place, room feels modern, plenty large, and was very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. No complimentary breakfast was a bummer, shower had very low water pressure, street noise was loud, but they provide ear plugs to help.
Very unique property. An old building converted into condos. If you are looking for luxury this is not the property for you. But the charm and the location, less than 50 feet from the river in the heart of the river front. Our view from our balcony looked straight down on the river. Dont take any of the free gifts from the guy in the lobby. He is only there to get you to go to a timeshare sells pitch. He acts like he is there to help you with planning your sightseeing. But it is just a con. Very deceiving. Dont fall for it.
They are under construction at this time, but they try very hard not to let that bother their customers. It is right on the Riverwalk so there are many restaurants and bars right around the corner. We parked our car when we got here and didnt get in ot again till we were leaving. Irene is at the front desk I. The evening and folks... she is amazing! Is she doesnt know the answer she Will find out for you. We had a wonderful time.
I have visited San Antonio more times than I can count over the years and when I visit, I always try to find a place of lodging right on or very near the Riverwalk, since that is where I tend to spend most of my time. A good choice for convenience and relatively low cost is the Club Wyndham Riverside Suites. This hotel is a timeshare facility and is right above the famed Riverwalk. All you do is exit the main level, walk around the side of the building, and look for the arrow pointing down the steps to the Riverwalk. This convenience is easily the hotel’s number one quality, and the relatively low price compared to other Riverwalk hotels is also a plus. From the outside, Club Wyndham Riverside Suites looks like an apartment building and in many ways, it is, since it is comprised of small condo units. The units offer sizes up to 2 bedrooms complete with small kitchen, refrigerator, dishwasher, etc. Depending on the unit you select, you may also get a small balcony. They keep things reasonably clean and I like that the bedrooms are so dark. There was no outside windows in either of the two bedrooms of the unit I stayed in most recently, and that means no morning sunlight to wake you up.Like I said, this hotel is nice for convenience and price, but on the cons side of the ledger, there are certain qualities that could make it less than adequate for some travelers. First, there are virtually no amenities in this facility. You can hang out on the common area balcony and use one of the vending machines for a snack or drink, but other than that, there is nothing else here. That could be a deal breaker for those who want a hotel with lots of extras like a pool, exercise room, gift shop, etc. Also, the hotel has no parking garage of its own, so you will have to park elsewhere and walk over, and that means paying a daily fee.I love the San Antonio Riverwalk and will continue to pay visits here well into the future. Club Wyndham Riverside Suites is a basic place to stay that is good for a quick weekend getaway and ideal for those who just want a place to sleep while they explore the city. It’s a basic hotel and so keep that in mind if you decide to stay.
Greeted by effecient and friendly staff. We were early so they offered to hold our luggage while we explored the area. Great location very convenient to the River Walk. Cute suite (rm 402 faces front streetside of building): living/dining/kitchen room plus a bedroom and fully appointed bathroom. Compact suite but the layout is efficient so there is lots of space. Well-stocked kitchen in our room. The 3rd floor outdoor patio overlooks River Walk and Hard Rock Cafe. On check-in we were directed to the concierge for coupons to local attractions where were offered freebies if we would tour a new resort that had just opened nearby and listen to a new concept in timesharing called vacation living. We had some free time so we accepted the tour.
Love this place, right on the river walk. Lots of stores, restaurants and attractions. Rooms are great, staff is very nice. Very knowledgeable and experienced excellent service. Will be back for sure. This is the second time here. Will Definitely be back. Definitely recommend
Convenient location, within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and right on the Riverwalk. Pictures are the view from our balcony.
Friendly staff, however, lay out is very poor. Entrance is not very easily accessible when you have a lot of luggage. Stench outside entrance was gagging. Outdoor patio overlooking riverwalk was nice. No pool. Rooms clean and comfortable.
So disappointed!! The hotel entrance is literally in the alley. The room was descent with comfortable bed but the bathtub was a nightmare!! In order to get into the shower you need to jump over about 1 ft lip. I had to sit and swing my legs over in order not to fall. We had a do not disturb sign and maintenance came and banged on the door. When I opened he said he was there to repair the ceiling fan in the bedroom. Well hell!! There is no ceiling fan in the bedroom. Our room faced College St. (Alley) and the noise level was bad. I guess enough that complimentary ear plugs are on the nightstands. We wont be back. Btw..the front reception guy was so incredibly rude. No thanks Wyndham....I give me money to anyother chain.
Wonderful staff. Lost, in sweltering heat, we asked staff member Claudia for direction to the other Wyndham that we were staying at. She said you are not walking there because she recognized I was near heat stroke. She said she was getting off her shift and she would drive us there. She did. She did this on her own time and maybe saved my life because I definitely could not have walked there. God bless Claudia. She and other Wyndham staff is who you want taking care of you. Go Wyndham!
Its part of the Wyndham Vacation resorts. The rooms are pretty nice, the mattress was comfortable, the 3rd floor balcony has a great view, and the location is super convenient. Its an older property, so the owners lounge is a tiny room, the halls are narrow, and the rooms arent as large as many of the other properties.
This Wyndham club makes you pay a lot of money for what!Just to stay in a fancy hotel for about a day,you can easily afford a room for a family for about $100.This “Rewards club” is just scamming you to get money out of you just for a hotel stay.Even tho you can get a regular and good quality room for $100!After all,I think this “club” is just scamming you do not become a part of this!
Very polite and professional staff. Building is super old and a constant battle for staff to upkeep. one bedroom Very muggy from humidity. Entrance to building is speakeasy wild 😜 .
Nice and cozy suites! The staff were friendly and the rooms are nice. This was our first time staying here and We didnt know what to expect. We had a very pleasant experience.
Spent 20 minutes on the phone booking with an online agent just to have the room booked by someone else. Once an agent begins booking a room it should show unavailable. What a waste of our time. Platforms such as Ticketmaster are setup this way so it’s not difficult to do so.
A place to for members to use as a base and lay their leads after a day of going out. Public patio has a nice view of the Riverwalk. Rooms are tight in the historic old building but lack historical charm. Convenience to Riverwalk makes it worth the stay.
The hotel was old but very nice. It was small but renovated. Biggest drawback was the elevator was shutdown. They told us they tried to call us and let us know first. We had no missed calls. That was a lie. They told us it would be fixed the next morning. That was a lie. It was never fixed. Going up to the 4th floor with the kids and family with groceries and luggage upstairs was no fun. I want my points back. Disappointed. I saw a 75 yr old veteran who had to go up 6 flights of stairs with a cane. That was just disappointing and embarrassing.
Great room with a view of river walk
Small rooms. Thin walls. You can see light all the way around the doors. When the neighbors came in next door at midnight, we could hear everything. Lots of street noise even though we were on the 4th floor (music, sirens, car horns). Made for a horrible nights sleep. Also, there was a dirty cleaning rag on the bathroom counter when we entered room. No restaurant. No pool. No hot tub. But...it is on the Riverwalk.
Poor customer service with changing a reservation. I attempted to drop the last day of my stay. My credit card was charged for the entire stay upfront, but with the reassurance that a refund of the last day would be coming. As the week progressed, I was told 3 different things from 3 different employees. Ultimately Andrew said that Wyndyn would NOT provide me a refund for leaving the one day early, no matter how early I attempted to inform them of the change in the reservation.
Great location, apartment is clean and practical. The building is old, and has a weird layout, but is very well maintained. Since its Wyndham, it may come with a time sharing sales pitch for a few hours.
Very friendly staff. Great place to stay on the River Walk. Balcony overlooks the River. It is right above Landrys and there is some noises from the crowds but it is a fantastic place. Parking is a problem but it is less than a block away from entrance.
Great location right on the riverwalk.Every staff member that I had interaction with was extremely friendly and helpful. We will be going back in December.
We came to San Antonio for a timeshare presentation. This place was scary. Our window looked onto a filthy street. We asked one employee if it was okay to go walking at 5 am and they said they wouldnt walk. The sales talk was a joke. They did not care about our stay... they just wanted us to sign.the employee told us they would not g
Perfect location on the Riverwalk. Great location, if you dont need the amenities of the restaurant, Gym, Pool or Game Room. None of these are available on site but they are close by. The 2 story penthouse suite was nice.
If you want a place to stay in the middle of downtown this is it. Staff are super attentive. They checked in with us multiple times to make sure all was well. Loved the old school charm and we walked everywhere no need for a car
Great location, middle of downtown San Antonio. Entrance is out of the way along a small side street without typical loading and unloading area. Suite is nice. Has large refrigerator 2 burner stove. TV vcr/DVD combo.
They were under construction so the rooms were limited and it was crowded and busy. Our actual room was fine though. It was clean, small, but what I would expect for a 1 bedroom suite. Location was good.
By hard the worse hotel I have ever stayed at. While the staff was nice, I could not sleep at night due to the noise. Not only could every noise outside be heard but inside. Their answer? They provide ear plugs... neither myself or my girlfriend can sleep with those due to medical reasons. This is a recently remodeled resort and I highly recommend looking else where. This experience has turned me off from the Wyndham brand for life.
We love this place, close to the river walk. Rooms where nice and clean. The staff was excellent and we had a great experience. We will be back for sure. They had answers for all our questions.
Location is great and staff was lovely but the facility is in a state of disrepair and even felt dirty (wall surfaces, door surfaces, carpet all had soiling). A/C didnt effectively cool the unit, hot tub was out of service, water pressure in the showers was bad (a mist in one). None of us felt comfortable staying here, but we were stuck since I had prepaid. Bummer.
You enter this property from a stinking alley. Drop your lugage on the curb next to the bar/club because parking is down the way and God help you if you drive a truck! Did I mention you get to pay an extra 15$ just to park? There are no ammenities but a smoking deck, the listed hot tub is a lie. We are here during construction so the floors in and out are dirty and paint spattered. The room was very clean but tiny. I cant imagine being closer to the Riverwalk but all you see is the darn smoking deck... We wont be back. Do your self a favor stay some where else.
I really enjoyed my stay here at this property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious. And we had a great view of the river walk.
Pros....Located on the Riverwalk and if you are lucky like I was and get the Penthouse the view is quite pleasant. Clean rooms.Cons .... Located next to several dumpsters and the odor as you enter and leave the facility is atrocious, to the point they have someone spraying the entrance. This is one of Wyndham’s timeshare properties and having been an owner for more than 30 years, I expected better. The carpeting is worn and stained, the balcony foundation was peeling, the single 2 seat couch in the penthouse was old and worn and gave the appearance of not being clean to the point it was uncomfortable to sit on. This is a 2-bedroom penthouse and only has one 2-seater couch, when there is plenty of room for additional furniture. The balcony furniture is dirty and plastic and the hot tub was sealed up and not working, not that one would want to use it. Limited pictures and no mirrors outside of the bathroom, and the European washer might as well be remove; who wants to wash clothes and have no place to dry them. No cost Wi-FI for the first four devices, after that there is a charge. This place was remolded in 2000 and after my visit I will have to assume, has not been updated since. Had this been my first experience at a Wyndham property I would not be back. I had guest with me and I was terribly embarrassed to the point that we cut our vacation short by 4 days and returned home. Shame on Wyndham.
New hotel. It is on the river walk but a mile away from downtown. Take the water taxi. We didnt have a car but there is a $16 a day parking fee. Free internet. Nice pool and hot tub. Great restaurant.
Club Wyndham Riverwalk is In central downtown one block from the Riverwalk. No need to drive your car, just park it in the covered parking garage one block away and walk to the shops. The 7th floor unit has a covered balcony, two bedrooms on the entry floor and 2nd floor living space, full kitchen with large refrigerator, microwave and all dinner ware, pots and pans provided. Looks newly remodeled. Very clean.
Hard to put a finger on it, something is just not right. Not up to usual Wyndham standards at all.It could be partially contributed to by heritage building restrictions but that doesnt excuse the poor maintenence clearly evident everywhere such as; 1 of 2 boilers breaking down in the building with leaving no hot water; constant dripping of hot water from bathtub tap (when you have hot water), which was also dangerous having a baby with us and the end of the bed frame being mostly unattached. Also disappointing when we checked in, having been given a queen room when we booked a king. Other hotels seem to be able to control inventory when making the booking, Reception advised that they were only a request at this property which was decided by first come, first served. Did really appreciate being able to move when a king became available though for our multi week stay. The room layout was also far more practical in the king suite.Neighbouring property Landreys seafood restaurant on riverwalk doing construction work at midnight escalated my disappointment as it sounded like they were hammering through our bedroom floor - thanks for waking the baby at 1230 am team! Reception conceded that this restaurant had a bad reputation for doing night works without advising neighbouring properties so consider that if you are looking for a good night sleep.
Comfy and quiet, if your only looking to sleep/rest and be out and about all day..this is the best place, close to everything. Not a luxury suite but who cares if you only need a room to have somewhere to rest/sleep. Very quaint hotel...I admire the history of this hotel.
Comfortable, clean, amazing tubs! Of course, location. But dont bring a working sized truck. Parking does not accommodate tall vehicles.
They took a deposit through Airbnb I was not happy with there accommodations left to another hotel, talked to Samantha, Alexandra and Sakina, they refuse to refund 564.00 after not staying even one night not even 1/2 hour. This is being disputed, I am very disappointed in the Wyndham resort, I probably will not stay at one again because of the way this situation was handled.Reason for not staying there was because there were 4 of us and room was to small, they could not move us to a larger room for our entire stay. So we left found a Marriott, same room style and was way more accommodating.Tony
Grievances listed in order of occurrence:1. Parking is not good. Make sure you completely unload on the sidewalk before you park. Youve got a good little walk to it every time you park your car.2. Theres a Russian/Spanish nightclub next door and you may very well lose some sleep from the extreme noise.3. When you sleep in after losing sleep, there is then a fully operational warehouse next door equipped with state-of-the-art honking and beeping trucks!4. Youre on kind of a shady street. And not because it keeps you out of the sun.5. None of the washer/dryer units installed work or have ever actually dried anything. You probably should know this BEFORE you super soak your clothes.6. Soda machine doesnt work. Of course right when Im trying to get my drink on.7. Our tv stopped working on night 2 of our stay. Maintenance doesnt work on location so I was told it would be a hassle to call them in this late when theyre off but theyd put in a work order and get it fixed in the morning. Guess what never happened? All in all, kind of a rough time there.
Did not like the bed to hard and to small.Outside shared deck area closed to early.Outside entry way on college street latterly smelled bad every day.Only one elevator for everyone.Only one roll of toilet paper supplied to room for the week if you want more you have to request it.
There are many drawbacks with this urban property, particularly its lack of onsite amenities, but the riverwalk location is superb.
Friendly staff and great accommodations! As soon as I got there my bags were taken out and I was immediately checked into my room. Great view from the Riverwalk balcony.
Nice inside but the deck closed to early and no place to unload and load your bags. No pool. Great for being on the river walk. The front looks like your in an alley
Great staff and location. Room and facilities are spotless and well maintained. Only detractor is remote parking at a paid public lot a block away.
Had a wonderful time. Staff very professional, courteous and bent over backwards to meet our needs.Thank you very much for a wonderful visit.Hope to see you again soon.Again Thank youMay God Bless you and your families.Peace 🕊️.
Rooms are clean, comfortable beds. Elevater access to all rooms but some rooms are multi leveled with no elevator. Must walk around building to get to river walk.
Its really nice, great units and great location. The laundry room was down for renovation, so 4 stars this time. Im sure Ill go back!
This Riverwalk Hotel is a joke, its in a bad part of the river, scary! We were actually told by the lady at the little desk never to go out there door that goes right to the river, to walk 3 blocks and go down on the river, WOW.
Location is good, close to lots of things. The room was not up to Wyndham standards, but it is to be remodeled very soon, so hopefully the furnishings and layout will be better in the future.
Great Location, Great Views, Great Staff! Walking distance of The Alamo The Buckhorn Saloon, The Menger Hotel and several other historic exhibits!
Great resort! I cant say enough about this resort awesome service and the location is spectacular! It is right in the middle of everything you want to do in San Antonio.
Awesome location right on the riverwalk!Great views and only 3 blocks from the alamo!
Very clean room , an excellent staff, in the downtown and you dont need a car, walk and see everything what you want.
Excellent location right above the heart of RiverwalkVery small bedroomBathroom needs remodelingNot great viewParking very close
I worked with a temp service to work at this hotel and there cleaning process for the rooms and tubs are nasty. They use dish soap to clean tubs. I will never stay there or refer anybody too stay its gross.
Great customer service. Excellent floor plans. Four windows overlooking the Riverwalk above Landrys and overlooking Hardrock Cafe. Awesome location
Location location location, rough property, suitable for not what I was expecting. Very small and mostly clean. Parking in a garage around the corner and across 2 streets. Less than a block from the Riverwalk but no direct access.
Good location, right at the River Walk, everyone from-checking in, concierge, and all the way to checking out- were super nice, and quick to help anyway they could. Would definitely stay there again.
The location provided super easy access to the riverwalk and had a beautiful view. However, the facility was obviously very old and did not have very good amenities.
Amazing resort. I went for a weekend getaway and they took great care of me. I sent my cousin down on a vacation this past week and they treated him like a king. Go visit them!
We were in a two bedroom river view and it was very comfortable and convenient to everything.
Just so comfortable, lots of character in the rooms. Right on the river, so you have access to many shops. Staff are attentive and always ready to help.
Great location and an amazing suite right by the water. However when we got back we had some issues with them double billing my stay and they not very helpful on reversing the charges.
The location is perfect. The rooms are super clean in front of the RiverwalkI loved
Loved it. Very clean, friendly and Covid-19 standards followed. Down side is the cost of parking. Members should receive a discount or free parking!
Very neat, ok room size organized a bit weird but overall good. I stayed at the Westin when visiting but this place is for sure second best in my book.
WOW. View out our 6th floor window, down onto the Riverwalk, is Beautiful! And Paul, our personal concierge, has been absolutely wonderful!
This place was roomy considering they could not change alot because of it being a historic building. Location was good but nothing to do at resort. Customer service was very good.
Love the room and especially love how its so close to everything there is to do in downtown San Antonio. Landrys seafood is right downstairs and its so good!
This was our second time staying here. Excellent location, great accommodations, and great staff. Well likely stay here again sometime.
This is a great location for a 4-5 day visit, maybe even longer depending on why youre here. Great amenities and decent staff that are friendly. No complaints.
Best feature - right on the River Walk, very convenient. Older building on a not-so-nice street, somewhat noisey, inconvenient placement of light switches (older building).
A very unique well kept older building. Fantastically and perfectly situated in / on the heart and ambiance of the Riverwalk. Loved my visit !!
The view from the balcony overlooking the river walk and the delightful smell of fajitas makes my 🔨 hard
Room was not ready until almost 5:00pm, but the staff couldnt have been nicer, Mr Kim and Mary were both amazing
Great resort. Beautiful historic building right on the River Walk. Staff was attentive and kind.
The whole church is a screen with breathtaking graphics and a fantastic audio/ music. About 45 minutes of grandeur. No charges.
Very clean, well equipped room with an amazing view of the riverwalk. Highly recommend...will be back, next week!!
Great location, nice staff, my room was a little small but worth it to overlook River Walk and to be close to the restaurants and bars.
Very nice location, well furnished kitchen. The balcony was really a great spot to have a drink and relax.
Great location but only thing missing is a riverwalk entry. We have to walk out the front and around the corner. Which is not a big deal for us.
We had a very nice stay, the hotel is on the river and has a nice second floor patio overlooking Riverwalk. The room was very nice
Loud! Windows wont open, room had a funky smell
The rooms were very nice. They lock the patio at 10pm so if you are a smoker you have to go out on the street in the dark
Great location right by the River Walk. Friendly staff and service. Rennovation under way so can be a bit noisy at times. That will be over by end of 2018.
Wonderful check in. Rooms are small but clean. Great location to everything downtown.
Management has much to be desired and staff selling timeshares need to be watched carefully...make sure you have a lawyer examine any contract they try to get you to sign.
Love this place! Great area to walk every where and see all the beautiful lights on the river walk!Beautiful views from our window!
*PURCHASED OFF GROUPON* terrible customer service, I felt neglected, breakfast was a waste of money, I had a $66 charge on my debit card from “Wyndham” but the front desk was unable to explain the charge. Just choose another place! :)
Excellent location friendly staff
Great setvice bery clean a bit too crowded for driving though ccould barely find a parking spot.
Really nice place and is close proximity to everything. You dont need a car. Awesome and friendly staff.
Awesome historical place..over 100 years old. my onlything I would change is the entrance door is right next to the garbage compactor so walking in and out of that place could be wretched at time!
Very nice room and excellent location, right in center of alot of restaurants and on the river walk
Fun historic building with an amazing view. Make sure you unload curbside or itll be a bit of a walk. Very satisfied!
Constant water leak in Master bedroom. Do not get Room 607. Constant drip in the wall.
They dont tell you that a six night stay means moving rooms four times. Definitely call ahead and clear that up if you plan on staying here.
A bit dated, parking is NOT on site so that was inconvenient especially in the rain. Some staff was friendly and location was right on the River walk.
Great location. Had a Presidental suite. 2 levels. Nice private balcony
This resort is in the thick of activity! Steps away from the river, restaurants, shopping and the Alamo!!!
We were in a 7th floor 2 bedroom, 2 story suite overlooking the river walk, just a short walk from everything we wanted to see.
Paint peeling on the walls, stained bathrooms and rude staff. Just book with La Quinta, save yourself the money and the hassle.
Quaint, quiet and close to everything, over looks River Walk. Right across River from Harley Davidson boutique, Howl at the Moon, and Hard Rock Cafe. Walking distance, 5 minute walk, from Walgreens.
Right in the middle of all the River Walk action. Great location.Resort rooms are smaller, a boutique hotel feel.
Basic room, great staff. Access to riverwalk- only downside was a very squeaky loud bathroom door.
The noise and music from the river walk is so load in the rooms is hard to sleep
Didnt get a lot of things that were ordered when the room was booked!!
Older building with odd shaped rooms on the Riverwalk of SA. Neat Location.
The front desk staff was great! The rooms were overall clean, but saw this at the bathroom...
Room was nice enough, but there was way too much noise from the Riverwalk until late at night every night.
