Let me tell you—finding an apartment in Houston that doesn’t destroy your pockets feels like hunting for a unicorn. But thanks to Chanel at MAA Midtown Square, I found the perfect place without sacrificing my soul (or my wallet). Over 3-4 months, she stuck with me, showing me every unit I pondered over like a philosopher deciding on lunch. She was patient, honest, and never tried to rush the process—absolute rockstar. Then came Nydesja, who handled my very detailed questions like a pro, making sure I knew exactly what I was getting into. And Tony? The MVP. He made sure my unit was ready and my move-in process was smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy. And let’s talk about the location—unbeatable. If Midtown was a Monopoly board, MAA Midtown Square would be Boardwalk. Everything you need is right here. And the amenities? Let’s just say, they make other apartments look like budget motel setups. If you’re looking for a place that checks all the boxes, has a killer team, and won’t make you regret every financial decision you’ve ever made, MAA Midtown Square is it. 10/10, highly recommend!

I am a tenant, and parking has always been an issue here, but today was especially problematic. The front office showed little compassion, except for maybe one or two leasing agents. One staff member even sat down and snickered, finding the situation amusing.I was harassed in the parking lot, but since there was no physical damage to my car or myself, the office told me to just call the cops. This is not the first time I have reported an issue. Last year, through our ring camera we discovered a homeless man was living in the storage room near my unit. I constantly feel paranoid that other homeless individuals could enter and exit the building freely.Very recently, I reported a young girl in the garage who appeared drugged and tried to break into my car. When I reported it to the apartment staff, they said they would take care of it, but no email was sent to tenants about the incident. They mentioned the police had already been called previously. While I understand that leasing agents are often overworked and usually do their best, I was deeply disappointed today. Now, I feel scared about potentially encountering the tenant who harassed me.

I moved into this apartment on February 7, 2025. Upon moving in, I discovered that my carpet had only been washed, because it was still wet and my furniture was about to be brought in by the movers. I spoke to the office, who informed me that they would replace the carpet, despite their previous assurances before moving in. However, they now required me to move my heavy furniture out of the way for the replacement. (There is a reason why I hire movers to take care of my furniture when moving.)Furthermore, the restroom tub was in a disgusting condition, looking like it has never been washed before. They promised to resurface it, but I was not allowed to use it for 48 hours. To top it off, I’ve recently noticed that the apartment is infested with roaches. INFESTED!!. I’ve seen them scurrying around my furniture, which is deeply upsetting.I find it hard to believe that I have to work around their schedule to complete basic tasks that should have been done before I moved in. This situation has made me question whether this is even a good choice for me.

I will say i moved in optimistic since it was co-vid and I had a loft style apartment priced at 1K. My most priority! It was such a quiet floor —4th floor—Valentine and Webster. I also liked my neighbors they were nice and respectful. It did get rowdy starting Thursday-Sun so not always the best if you are trying to sleep but great when and if you wanted to go to the gym or bars nearby. They did install new door locks and keyless security into buildings and renovated the amenities to provide more aesthetic and maintenance to the buildings.Speaking of maintenance…i really liked the man who was there year 1 but i didn’t really trust the guys year 2 i don’t know who went into my apartment without my consent. It was the only suspects according to the door locksmith service. There was other people mentioning weird things suspecting mtnc going into their apartments unauthorized. Year 1 they installed new blinds and new microwave. Year 2 they did some window caulking to block off heat and installed a new a/c thank god! 4th floor is the highest in Building 1.The parking garage wasn’t the safest since cars did get broken into every weekend. The gates into buildings were broken for months! Allowing random people into the buildings. It’s when i decided it was time to move. Security and safety is important. Don’t ever think it’s okay for someone unauthorized to enter your building or apartment without your consent.Overall Kudos to the wonderful staff whom did their best to accommodate my 2-year lease.

From the moment I applied, they were incredibly supportive and responsive to all my questions. What really stood out to me was the move-in process. They offered assistance with coordinating the move, provided helpful tips, and even had a welcome package ready for me when I arrived—it was such a thoughtful touch! The staff were genuinely friendly and made me feel like I was already part of the community before I even unpacked. The property itself is clean, well-maintained, and full of great amenities. These 5 stars are purely for the maintenance crew, especially Robert Martinez.I’m a resident here and Robert has been super responsive to the various needs of my apartment. He has completed maintenance on three things in my apartment - the HVAC, dishwasher and refrigerator. He is super polite and transparent with information. Truly an awesome guy!It is people on the team like Robert that make me want to leave out other information regarding my experience with this place so far (Hint: it aligns with what many others have said😉). That being said, the rest of the staff here are mostly nice.I also want to give a shoutout to Tony, Chanel & Nydesja on the leasing team- thank you for helping me with even the littlest of things and resolving issues as they arise.

Don’t move here! From roaches from from the hot water heater & water line behind the fridge to elevators breaking consistently then consistent fire alarms…. The staff blames everyone else including residents for the short comings on this complex.Even on us moving out, they said we left heavy debri & never let them know about the pest problem (which we had a treatment plan by their provider). These photos after 3 months of these traps and have the least amount of roaches on them. The previous months were worse.Update: Received email from Marivel stating there was debris in the apartment after we left & we never created a work order for pest control. Again we agreed to have their crew come in & clean and we called & were added to a list for a weekly treatment so no work order was needed…. Emailed our photos of when we left. That was 3 weeks ago & have received no communication back. Added photos of when we left to review

For residents and guests. Exterior maintenance is slipping. Despite the above the neighborhood is great, walkable to restaurants, parks, etc Landscaping is slipping as well. Living at Post Midtown Square has been the worst leasing experience that I have had in my entire rental history.Outside of the location, I do not recommend renting at this location as there are other properties in midtown with better security, more responsive management, and overall more professionalism. The first reason is security. The security team is unresponsive and unprofessional often neglecting to address issues that are brought to their attention. There are main doors to our buildings that are supposed to have locks. Many of these locks do not work and even though the management team has been notified they do nothing about it. One time I saw a homeless man sleeping in the elevator due to the secure door not being locked. There are countless maintenance issues that the team takes ridiculous amounts of time to resolve. One time my apartment door jammed and I had to spend the night at a hotel because I couldn’t get ahold of anyone. The apartment doors have no keys and are dependent on a system that often jams. The noise in the building is ridiculous and comparable to living in a college dorm. The other issue is their poor responsiveness. (Not all) but the majority of the team takes days if not weeks to respond to repetitive issues. Maintenance request can take weeks without maintenance or management ever replying with an ETA as to when critical issues will be resolved.Management has sent emails with excuses about how they are understaffed which they have allegedly been working on for over a year. For these reasons I do not recommend living at Post Midtown Square and some of the complaints listed below are absolutely accurate and consistent with the experience of other residents.Below I have posted pictures of a homeless man that broke into our property because management has failed to fix our security door. It was reported in April and they have yet to fix it.

WARNING: DO NOT RENT FROM MAA MIDTOWN SQUARE—THEY ENGAGE IN ILLEGAL PRACTICES!My experience with MAA Midtown Square was nothing short of appalling. I applied for what they advertised as a loft studio, paid a $85 application fee and $100 deposit, only to be told after paying that THE UNIT DOESNT EVEN EXIST! This wasnt a simple mistake—they admitted IN WRITING that their listing was inaccurate, and yet they refused to offer any resolution, discount, or accommodation for THEIR error.Let me be clear: this is false advertising, which is illegal. They knowingly advertised a non-existent unit and took my money for it, all while refusing to do anything other than cancel my application and refund the fees. They wasted my time, misled me, and are now trying to sweep it under the rug.Despite being fully aware that they broke the law, MAA Midtown Square’s management refused to take any accountability beyond offering a refund for their illegal actions. They’re perfectly fine taking your money under false pretenses and then leaving you high and dry when they get caught. If you’re thinking of renting here, be prepared for deceptive practices, unprofessional management, and blatant disregard for tenants’ rights. Their disregard for ethics and legality is absolutely disgusting, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values honesty and integrity in a business. Stay far, far away from this place—it’s a scam waiting to happen!

I have lived at Post Midtown Square for a year. I toured 25 different apartment communities prior to moving here, and honestly, selected this community because of the leasing/property staff. The staff is usually the people you call with problems, and this staff seemed friendly, efficient and competent. In addition, they were very knowledgeable about the area. Marsean, Sandra and Chanel are very helpful and extremely easy to talk with. Even if there is a problem, they are quick to address it. I dont know how they remember everyone, but they do. Also, they send emails to keep residents up-to-date with anything happening in the community. There are several buildings, with a variety of floorplans, and you can transfer to another unit, after youve lived in yours for at least 6 months. We have pools, a gym, package room, and each building has its own set of mailboxes. The office also hosts pool parties and food trucks.Maintenance is SUPER fast to address issues. They even showed up the day of the hurricane (which I did not expect). They are always friendly, fast, and they clean up after themselves. If they are not able to make the repair, they explain the reason and give a timeline for when theyll return.Probably the first thing I should have mentioned, is the unbeatable location. (Without the other things, however, location wouldnt matter, lol). It is very walkable --groceries, restaurants, CVS, bars--a cool little tequila stand, downtown, etc. Also close to 69 and 45.The only negative is that traffic is occasionally loud; however, thats a side effect of living in the middle of everything.

Apartments are nice, however the security in the parking garage is lackluster. 1 night someone broke into the parking garage and stole my Catalytic converter. Called the office to tell them about it, got the classic “sorry”. I get it not much you can do. But what I was surprised by the lack of security cameras. They only have 1 by the entrance and that’s it’s. I find that unacceptable by a property of this size and a management company that’s national. Hopefully they fix this, other than that the area and the property is pretty nice and the maintenance is very fast. Front office staff is less than desired.

I know the rent prices made many of us do the mental gymnastics to ignore the reviews and move into these apartments anyway....please do yourself a favor and keep looking. The location is absolutely not worth the laundry list of issues with this place. To give some highlights: falling apart building (the foundation is literally caving in on itself), vehicle theft of family and neighbors, windows collapsing and breaking (dealt with this for over 2 months), ceiling leaks damaging furniture (another 2 months), old AC units skyrocketing electricity bills. And the cherry on top is they charged me an extra $400 dollars for damaged carpet, which you guessed it, was damaged by the faulty foundation and leveling. Oh, and no visitors parking. Best of luck!

Let these pictures speak for themselves. The apartment complex is falling apart since MAA took over. Management is lazy and does not care about residents and MAA premises. Supposedly he takes a stroll around the complex once in a while to make sure everything is in order - but at no avail. Just take a look below pictures - EXIT signs have been hanging on a wire for a long time, door knobs missing, gates not working properly, garage and stairwell floors need washing (most smell like stale urine), buckets with chemicals are unsafely left in hallway areas, spider webs and wasp nests are left to hang on the walls, street water drainage is covered with old plastic bags (hazard), water damaged ceilings are unattended to, and walls and entry ways are dirty. Enjoy your stay.

The worst experience I’ve ever had in a rental. The staff from day one is completely unprofessional, rude, disrespectful and never takes accountability for when something is broken or needs repaired. I never call maintenance to fix anything anymore because why bother? They take too long to respond to things. It took them forever to decide to fix the broken elevators and when they sent an email about it, the tone was like talking to the residents as if we were the problem for them being broken. It took me sending an email as a reminder that if you have elevators it’s their responsibility to keep them working to be in ADA compliance. The fire alarms go off all the time. For at least a year a half, the gates to the buildings were all broken. Anyone could get in and again, when the office sent updates there was always some lame excuse for it not getting fixed. We also had pest issues that even after several attempts at them trying to fix still didn’t go away. The only good thing I guess is that security does come by and close the pool consistently at 10pm. I’m happy to say that we are finally moving out.Oh and PS: we recently get emails asking residents to be patient because they are always understaffed. If they can’t keep staff, that should tell you something about MAA and the management we have here.

Honestly these reviews helped so much in making an apartment decision!!!I only take away the one star because the leasing agents are so over worked that they have a hard time getting back to you which can be frustrating.Overall so so amazing. For the price including laundry, pool, gym, and parking is great! Amazing neighborhood. No issues with anyone getting in who is not supposed to. All maintenance issues were done in 2-3 days!!! They have pest control which was so helpful with the crazy bugs.If you have a pup, there are 3 dog parks super close by that are within a .5 mile radius and a blast! Great neighborhood and for around!Make sure you take pictures of everything when you move in and email it to the leasing agents! Just incase so you don’t have to worry. Sent in maintenance request right when you move in so issues can be solved. And honestly just call the front office! They are really nice! Also if you can live in building 1 or 2 that is where mail and parking are and that would be killer but 3 and 4 aren’t too far if you like the walk :)If you can avoid the first floor I would recommend it. When it rains it gets though the gates and I see it at peoples doors.

Post Midtown location was perfect for what we were looking for. We had a lot of space within the apartment as we were in the New Phase building. It was right downtown surrounded by many bars and restaurants and very close to grocery stores that you could even walk to (if you dont mind walking). It seemed like everything we wanted to get to that was outside of midtown was a 15-25min drive so even catching a Uber/Lyft was inexpensive. The amenities were good for the most part: a gym, pools, and grills. The maintenance team was very good whenever we needed anything fixed. The office staff was very nice as well. Crystal the property manager was very helpful with any administrative issues we had. I would say as a note, for any packages or deliveries make sure to add special instructions so that carriers know not to leave packages outside of mailboxes or on the floor and require them to place in a locker or mailbox (this is out of the control of the property management). If its something really important require it to be signed or sent to the leasing office so they can direct the carrier to put in the lockers. Other than that we loved our time at Post Midtown.

Cute floor plans. Easy access to restaurants but getting back into the complex with the phone is a nightmare.Doesnt work consistently. The outside traffic noise is horrible all night long! Hope you like your neighbors music choice because that is also blaring all night long.I like to party but this is ridiculous. Anyone who wants to visit you has to pay for unsafe parking (smashed out car windows). It costs about 2 dollars an hour so staying overnight can be costly and you risk damage to your vehicle. People speed through the 2 way parking garage- Scary situation there. The cabinets in the kitchen are so small a dinner plate wont fit In any of them. Prepare to walk a mile to pick up a package and hope it doesnt rain. Wont be staying once lease is up.

The management/maintenance team at this location is clearly incompetent. The elevators are out of commission, the stairs are cluttered with trash and other debris, the gates are spotty at best if they open or close, A/C does not work. The garage is so small that if you drive something larger then a Miata it will be damaged. When you finally do leave the building, if you are walking, you are harassed by dozens of homeless. This is clearly not safe, all due to a poor run facility. All of this has been mentioned to the admin. office and has been ongoing for months now. I would not recommend living here.

We moved from here back in August and I realized I forgot to write a review! Me and my bf lived here for two years and overall we did love it. Lots of pools and amenities around the buildings that are awesome to have. You will always have something to do here (try not to rent on Grey St, though, it can get noisy but not in the back!) Management was always as helpful as they could be and they always respond quickly to things. Yes, the parking garage is terrible but of course you’re well aware of that situation before signing a lease. The reason for the four stars is the fact that this place needs some serious upgrades on the HVAC system, the elevators, and the plumbing. The fire alarms (including the sprinklers) will go off without warning for quite a while sometimes about 2 times a month. The elevators and AC will go out for sometimes over a month. You can tell that management and maintenance are drowning in these issues but they do the best they can within their jurisdiction. In totality, this is one of the few nicer places in Houston to rent for a decent price and we do miss it! Thank y’all for having us the last few years❤️

There are a ton of great things that I can say about this apartment community like the accessibility to nightlife, interstates and the walkability of the neighborhood. Almost each floorpan is unique and the residents are mostly transient professionals who respect your privacy and arent too loud. However, I wouldnt suggest leasing from this property for a few reasons. One reason is that there seems to be too much property to for such a small team maintain. As a result - the team cant respond to the smaller problems that really mean the most to residents. For example, one of the security gates near the mailboxes has been broken for almost a year which makes residents susceptible to theft/robbery. For the management team, the problem isnt that this gate needs to be fixed - its that there are several secured entrances that need to be fixed. For the sake of time, Ill get to the point. Not that any of us are perfect and as renters we understand the demand + stress of managing large sums of people (a ton of us work in schools/hospitals, etc). If anything would elicit a below-average review (from me at least)...itd be bad customer service. For example, I recently called in to follow up on the fire alarms thatd been sounding for hours. After several attempts with no answer or no call-back I reached an employee who told me to call another number in 30 minutes and after I told her that Id been calling all morning - she screamed at me. I was shocked because this isnt the treatment Ive received with other teammates. A ton of us work from home and have children/pets who are sensitive to loud/piercing noises. I wont mention her name because its not really important - what is important is how you train your team to build relationships with tenants who do their part in the community. Even if you dont have an answer - empathy and compassion are always appropriate. We pay rent on time, we pick up after our pets, we mind our business, we keep our units clean and we invest in local businesses/start-ups. Theft is everywhere, I dont expect for you to control that - but I do expect you to control how teammates treat residents - we all pay too much to bad customer service + training. Im sure theyll follow up to this review with some generic response and I hope thats a sign to readers about the lack of empathy that I am speaking of. At any rate, I wish you the best of luck on your search of a new place to call home.

This complex has been the terrible since move in day. I received a dirty apartment on move in day. The elevator, the garage gates and the gates to enter the complex barely worked, there were frequent maintenance issues and roaches. I’ve had packages opened and stolen from the mailroom. The most recent issue was water leaking into my bathroom from the ceiling, I’ve filed many complaints. The staff could care less, things are always out of their hands. Review №155

I had high hopes for this apartment- initially, the response and service from the staff was welcoming and kind. This quickly shifted after move-in. Starting with a refusal to administer a second parking permit, then suddenly switching the decision and giving out the pass for $50 after hundreds of dollars in parking fees- all after I rented a 2 bed/2 bath unit (for which 2 parking passes are not unreasonable). The next incident was when my car was towed out of the garage, despite my pass being present in the car and my vehicle information being on file. The tow hook cover on my car was never recovered, and though the manager assured me in person that if I email her all associated information, she would have a $250 reimbursement (the cost of the towing) ready for me, she never even replied to my email. I followed up several times and was told she would get back to me. She never did.I stayed here for 11 months. In the span of that time, 6 nights were sleepless since the fire alarm was ringing all night. All of these nights were work nights. Additionally, the “locked access gates” were only functional for about a month cumulatively of my stay here. I came home to people who were not residents of the complex loitering in front of my door more than once. Needless to say, I did not feel safe here. The homeless population in midtown is massive, and at Post Midtown Square the gates to the complex are conveniently unlocked and wide open. And yet, somehow the one area that should be accessible to residents was not. Several times, I couldn’t access the package room for over a week at a time since I worked during the hours it was kept unlocked since their lock system was broken- they manually locked it every day at 5 or 6.When the renewal offer came, it was for my initial renting cost of 1800- even though the same unit was being rented for 1600 at the time of the offer. I was eager to move out anyway so I went ahead with my move out inspection. The inspection went fine- only one note about the microwave and cleaning instructions. However, following my move out and after I left the state, I received notice that I’m being charged $1300 for carpet replacement due to “pet damage.” I didn’t have pets at the apartment and it’s in the same condition it was in (or slightly better because I cleaned the mold from the window panes and toilet) as when I moved in.The communication here is the worst I’ve experienced at an apartment. I have documented over 15 instances where I was straight up ignored or my issue was not resolved. I was frustrated by the lack of safety (and the garage gate being wide open) to the point where I was considering breaking my lease and my concerns were simply ignored, and the only option I was given was a $6k fee to break the lease. The didn’t even fix the gate for another month, after which it broke again several times.Don’t move here. It’s not a good deal, and even if it seems like one up front, they will try to offload their expenses on you at move-out. If you do decide to move here, document absolutely everything.

This community would have had a better review if the management and its staff had addressed my issues. I’ve been at this community for three months now and my cabinets still haven’t been fixed. They were supposed to be fixed prior to my move in date. At least that was the verbal agreement I had with the property manager. Before I moved in to my current apartment I walked the unit and after noticing that the apartment wasn’t in optimal conditions I told the manager Crystal that if she addressed the issues then I would lease the unit. She promised that the cabinets would be fixed. On my move in date I noticed that the cabinets were not fixed. I brought it to the property staffs attention and they told me that they would get it fixed promptly. After several discussions with them on why it was taking them so long to fix the cabinets they finally told me that on April 27 the cabinets would be installed. It is now June 7th and the cabinets are still in the same condition. Management hasn’t reached out to me to tell me the status of the cabinets. It’s a shame that this has been my experience. Prior to moving to this community I lived in a sister property with the same property manager that is now running this community and she always addressed my issues promptly. I don’t know what’s going on and why things have changed.

In the beginning, my experience was lovely. The apartment complex is overall inviting - the area basically sells the apartment for them! Its the perfect location for someone moving from out of state wanting to be submerged into the Houston culture. My only issue is management. I think that they could improve their communication with the tenants (especially new tenants) just to keep them in the loop on important issues, and the communication should be consistent. There was an issue with the apartment I was moving into, and the process became more and more frustrating because of lack of communication. However, once I arrived management worked hard to make things right and I love my apartment (shout out to Veronica). If not for the communication issue, would have given 5 stars.

I am beyond disgusted by the behavior of the leasing staff. This was the worst experience I have ever had at an apartment community. We showed up to get information about one-bedroom apartment home available after circling several times to find parking (which you have to pay for FYI). After parking and locating the leasing office, we find the door locked. A office staff member walked to the door and unlocked it before waking away. Not once did she acknowledge us or welcome us to the property. She then proceeded to sit down at her desk (which had her breakfast sandwich sitting on the keyboard) and finished her FaceTime conversation with us standing there for 1-2 minutes. She did not end the call until another leasing staff walked in, then proceeded to tell me how she didn’t have anything to show without an appointment. Was by far the most unprofessional, undesirable leasing experience I have ever had. Having been in leasing for 10+ years, I have no idea how this individual has a job.

First off, roach infested. Exterminator does come quick to spray but when the whole building is infested you still have creepy crawlers no matter how clean your unit is. Secondly, if you have an ESA you won’t hear that your request has been denied until a month after you sign and then get charged about $600 in fees you weren’t expecting on paying. I’ve had this animal approved in every apartment other than this. They completely invade your privacy and HIPPA rights with the paperwork they want submitted for the animal, then provide zero information about why your ESA is being denied. How someone who isn’t a licensed doctor can say I don’t need my LICENSED animal it beyond me. Finally, your car will more than likely get broken into, just go for a tour in the garage and see all the glass on the floor.

DO NOT live here. This building and management are truly awful. They allowed my catalytic converter to be stolen from the guarded garage, meaning the guards were probably involved in the theft. They tried to charge me to move out after this, which basically ruined my credit. This is also an awful area to live in unless you like going to clubs.

Current resident but this apartment is a very mixed bag. Love the area, the pools, and the look of the complex, but the security is non-existent. The gates to get in dont work 95% of the time, either locking people out or forcing us to leave a rock in the door so we can get in (which allows ANYBODY to get in). Tonight I found a homeless man sleeping outside my apartment door. This is unacceptable considering the price per square footage. The maintenance also sets off the fire alarm when they are working in the building, so be ready to have to evacuate randomly as a false alarm. This has happened probably 5 times since weve lived here in just 6 months. Most being all within 1-2 months time. Besides this, the apartment itself is cute, and theres a ton of walkability. Its in a great area and its all around a good experience. But I do not feel safe with a homeless man sleeping next to my door. And the staff just needs to take us seriously when we tell them over and over about the gates not working. They told us they were getting fixed but they arent. It has allowed homeless in.

This is a great location. Youre close to food, nightlife, shopping, whatever you want can be found in walking distance. The apartments themselves are spacious. And the appliances are in good order. And if something stops working maintenance is quite quick to fix it. The office staff is also very helpful, in person. However, I did have some issues. The follow-ups for move in/application/general communication were somewhat slow. I had asked for a washer and dryer unit to be added. It was not ordered until after I moved in and asked about it.My big complaint is about their mailroom. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE A PACKAGE DELIVERED HERE. The mailroom is unattended. The delivery driver often leave packages on the floor rather than using the Parcel Pending system. The office staff does not go with drivers to ensure they put your package in one of the lockers and use the system. You will lose a package.Circling back to the apartment. The walls are good. Or at the very least my neighbors are quite. The only complaint I have about it is the balcony. Mine is connected to my neighbors, separated by a small railing. My upstairs neighbor floods my balcony as he waters his overgrown garden in his balcony.Overall, if you dont mind getting packages delivered elsewhere, this is a good enough place with and awesome location.

The Post Midtown Square Apartment Complex is a a disaster. I have lived here for 4 years now. I would not recommend anyone to start a lease at this property. Elevators, Washing/Dryer Machines, and AC Units constantly break and are not fixed for weeks at a time. Currently problems include that one of the main parking garage elevators has been broken for over a month, the office knows that 2 out of the 3 main laundry mat areas are currently not functioning for days now, and my personal AC unit has broken every summer for the last 3 years and was replaced by a window unit for 2+ weeks each time. The office always offers very little assistance outside of we called the technician but they didnt show up today, we will try again tomorrow. Did your Key Fob stop working and letting you in the parking garage gate so you can park your car at night? That will cost you $100 and currently we dont have any replacements on hand.I will not be continuing my lease after this time period comes to an end. The lack of attention this property pays to its tenants and its amenities is atrocious.

First of all , Chile!!!! I don’t even live here. So the fact my car got towed out of the visitors paid parking garage is beyond me. Post midtown square has no guest parking. It’s all paid parking. If you’re a guest to one of the tenants that live here then why should you pay parking it’s ridiculous. If you move here and want to have guest over be prepared to have them pay ridiculous parking rates.

Leasing office staff tends to be very unresponsive/unhelpful with needs of the residents as far as returning calls and emails. Took months to receive an additional pedestrian key fob and the box to call guests up has never worked since I moved in, so any time I have guests I must take the elevator downstairs to let them in.Maintenance is very responsive however and does a good job repairing issues in the apartment unit in a timely manner.Rent is fairy overpriced for the apartment space and amenities, however it is a very nice area with cool bars and restaurants, two pools with grills and a parking garage included with rent, so the location makes up for the overpricing.

Twice now, my partner and I have had the most frustrating, disappointing and and insulting experiences moving both in and out of this complex. Both times, the elevator was either broken or broke down during our move. Most recently when this happened, the solution was literally to push a button inside the maintenance room, but the elevator would then only work for an hour or so. Then maintenance would go on lunch. The fire alarm would go off. For hours. There was an assault in the building, followed by an email from management claiming that it was in no way their responsibility. The pipes in parking garage dont just leak, they spray. There was a fire in the building. Then, after a whole year of only-sometimes-answered maintenance requests, a termination of lease fee was issued despite the fact that the lease was completed. Despite what management had promised. Then a cleaning fee, despite the fact that we left the apartment spotless and without any damage, despite the fact that we were told that wouldnt happen. So, should you make any agreements with management, be sure to record the conversations or get it in writing, otherwise youll be looking at incredible fees that you were already told youd be exempt from. With all the forewarning and honestly I can bring forth, I would suggest never considering this place. They want your money, not your satisfaction.

Just moved back from Austin and wanted to live in the city. What better location than midtown! Close to Washington st, main st, heights and midtown itself. Location was very convenient if you have a job in the nightlife like myself. These apartments definitely sparked my interest bc of their affordable prices, absolutely love the unit im in. Never really had any issues but management will inform if appropriate for your building. Maintenance was always on time, we’ll for me at least, and very friendly at that. Only thing I don’t like but comes with living in the city is detached car garages , so bring a buggy for your groceries ! Overall, very nice place! Staff is very friendly especially Giovanni who seemed to help with all of my questions.

I dont understand the bad reviews from my experience. We have been living here since August and everything has been positive. Our maintenance gets done promptly. We have had already 2 great community events where we got to meet our neighbors in restaurants near the complex. Everyone has been very helpful. We live in the Baldwin unit and yes, in the beginning the elevator was down periodically. But the management was always informative about the situation and it had not been down in a while. Yes the fire alarm went off, but the matter was resolved fairly quickly. I would definitely renew provided that the rent hike isnt crazy.

I lived here for a couple of years.Been going downhill for while now, but this was the final move for me. My car (attached in this picture) was towed out of the garage one night. I had the proper post midtown sticker, which has been on the car for 2-3 years. I was not notified, and thought it was originally stolen.I spoke to Post Midtown and they told me it was towed. I said I had the sticker on my car, as they claimed I did not and they had picture proof (what?..). I was forced to Uber up to Airline Dr. and pay $300 to get the car back.I immediately took this picture and told Post Midtown. We reviewed the photo they had and you could see it in the towed photo. They then do nothing for me except tell me to go back to the tow place once again and request a refund (why not just credit it back to my rent??). Absolutely 0 help from these guys. The Manager told me he would get back to me, which he never did until I went into the office looking for him. They will automatically post something about reaching their corporate number to file a complaint. I have already done that and never received a follow up form the regional manager, so thats also a waste of time.Beyond that, everything constantly breaks - gates, laundry, lights, you name it. Just read the other reviews. Long fix times. Stay away.

I recently signed a lease for a studio that I will be moving into Mid-August. So this review will be about the application process.First off, the place is beautiful from the outside, that is what originally caught my eye and the fact that I found a low price for a studio considering the area. I took a self-guided tour on a Sunday at 1pm. Brittany and Veronica were so nice that aftenoon and made good conversation. Really looking forward to living here! Most of my communication was done through e-mail and in-person with Brittany, who was patient and caring. They do not have a good system to take phone calls, so I would prefer writing clear and detailed emails or show up in-person. If you want something addressed, show up in-person because that leasing office can get pretty busy, and they prioritize in-person interaction. What I am actually worried about is professionalism. Some of the other leasing agents aside from the two lovely ladies did not present themselves well. My impression on the first day I came in was beautiful. They made me think theyd even agree to be friends with me. But the second time, there were some other agents who were talking way too casually to one another instead of caring for the people in front of them - even shouting across the room. I think this is more of a training problem than anything...On this note, I hope the maintenance crew is good. That same day I came in, the two folks seemed pretty relaxed for such a large property and were bothered whenever someone came in to address his ignored maintenance request. I will say though, that guy coming in to talk about it did get them moving instead of waiting for the crew to be proactive.All-in-all, I am very happy that Post Midtown Square accepted my application, so I hope this advice is helpful. Please consider living here! Such a good opportunity. There are great ammenities and beautiful living spaces. The management is the heart of it though.

You get what you pay for!First and foremost, living in this area of the city is likely why rent costs what it does because this property itself is subpar compared to neighboring properties. This complex is poorly managed, lacks security, and constantly has issues with public amenities. When you move in, take your own pictures of the entire unit and keep your own records of any issue that occur because the move-out process was one of the worst Ive experience. My story: I ended my lease early by paying a early termination fee of more than $1800 in addition to two months worth of rent, despite having lived in the unit those two months, because I had to relocate due to COVID-19. When I got my final statement they charged me for a plethora of normal wear and tear items and then tried to charge me for 60% of the total cost of the carpet in my entire unit. (upwards of another $800). I only lived in the unit 1.5 years. This cost was eventually removed, however my security deposit was kept to cover repair costs, and I ended up having an additional balance of $120. This is inaccurate. Be prepared to shell out $180 to have the unit professionally cleaned prior to moving out.I wish I could overlook this experience... however with some events that took place while living in the unit, such as: packages always being stolen, locks on security gates never working (either not unlocking or not staying locked), issues with the homeless population breaking into cars, the pools being decommissioned by the City because the chemicals are never properly maintained and/or clean, I could continue...however, I thought an accurate review needed to be written to inform others.Again, overall you get what you pay for. Had my move out experience went smoothly, I might have overlooked some things that happened while living at this property. To be fair, this is a high traffic area in a big city. However, they essentially passed every cost associated with the maintaining the property, to their tenants (aka me), upon move out, in hopes to limit the amount of work that is required to flip the unit for the next tenant. They are thirsty to keep the properties units at maximum capacity, despite all of the issues mentioned above. This speaks to the overall complex; how it is ran, managed, and up-kept.

Maintenance is fast and friendly if it is a simple fix. However, if you have a leak or AC issues, which I have had both, expect to have these issue for months and for the office staff to be dismissive . I have now had a leak in the bathroom ceiling for 4 months.Awesome location. Many call boxes dont work1st floor door to the garage doesnt work. And no on seems to care when its reported.Too many issues for the amount I am paying.

The property is right in the center of really good coffee shops, restaurants, and bars in the midtown area. The amenities are never ending. The smart home features of this property are next level too, doing everything from an app is the bestttttt.Shante in the office has been amazing too, her suggestions for the area and best apartments on the property are great. There are a ton of different layouts and her knowledge on all of them is impressive! Definitely ask for her when you come in!

I wish I could give 0 stars. This is the worst place I have ever lived DO NOT MOVE HERE. When I first moved in my ac was broken so many things were broken inside that apartment and they only fixed about half of it. I went almost a month without ac. The gates were always broken so most of the time I could hardly get into the building, and the other times all the gates stayed unlocked for months. Theres always homeless sleeping inside and out of the building. And now they are charging me almost $500 after move put with a bunch of pictures saying my appliances are damaged but showing no damage. They also have the worst office staff Ive ever interacted with.

Moved in recently and so far it’s pretty alright. Maintenance requests does take quite a while to be complete if not urgent and most of the entrance door gates are broken.Update: The false firm alarms are starting to get annoying, will address to the property managers about it & the apartment isn’t very accessible. Broken gates are still an issue and they care about remodeling versus fixing very fundamental issues.
